day 21- we went to the nutcracker so Tinsel got his own Jack o nutcracker 🥰

So I attempted that viral snowy village wreath and can I just say, expanding insulation foam is a tricky bastard! I made mine Scotland themed to remember how awesome this winter was.

I used two strings of light and it's a bit difficult to figure out how to get them on the same pattern so they all light up at the same time. Oh, and I was lucky to find the wreath frame and trees at thriftshops. Specific bits: the Highland coos (half engulfed by the foam, poor things), the TARDIS in the Edinburgh-esque city, and Loch Ness. To make the Urquhart Castle ruins, I hammered an aquarium decoration, and the rather messy water around Nessie is glittery blue hot glue. Honestly both the glue and the foam got away from me a bit. Will not be attempting this again anytime soon 😅

Today we went to hiking at Los Gatos area. It was our first time to hike in USA 🇺🇸 The view was quite nice, could see the entire city at once.

Since Christmas season is coming, I begged my husband to pick up the pinecone together to make the Christmas wreathe.

Took an hour plus sitting at the balcony, finished making the one.

I would have added gold and more red, but I didn’t have it on hand so for now this is okay.

Meanwhile for the dinner, I decided to cook udon from scratch. Asked my husband to make the udon dough thinner, we nailed to cook well.

It was such a nice family day.
