So much has changed within me sense I decided to start my own business in March of 2020. In just a span of 6 months and during the Covid pandemic I found myself embracing the divine through yoga, meditation, intensive journaling sessions every day, taking time out of my day just to be still, and so much more.

I thought that becoming a freelance photographer would be all about business and photography and what I’ve learned is that this journey was really all about me. It was about my fears, my thoughts, my assumptions, my relationships, and my ability to build relationships. It was about the person I am at my core once I understand that business would emerge more simplify.  

I learned a lot about the women I was and the women I wanted to be and came to see that how I was feeling, and living was not how I saw myself. The unhealthy co-dependent relationship I had been in for over 15 years wasn’t something I could continue to be a part of, the intense isolation I had created and bubbled around myself would have to go in order to build and create relationships. The negative thoughts and feelings I had around my ability, around money, around success would all have to get a makeover to allow room for the intense change I was deeply craving inside.

So, I donated 90% of my belongings, packed what little I had needed to keep, rented a car, and drove the 2,000 miles to Phoenix Arizona. As simple as this sounds, I had a lot of conflict and explaining to do within my family circle and the man I had left. There was confusion around my radical decision to profoundly change my life, the normal feelings of fear for how I would survive, and why would I do such a thing.

It took some heavy conversations and a lot of me asking for trust and respect regardless of whether they could understand. I have been in Phoenix not yet two weeks, I’ve bought a car, gotten a part time job, and am working toward my goal of financial independence as a freelance commercial photographer. Not only did I have many realizations before I left Wisconsin and have had so many more sense driving across the country and getting used to this place that’s nothing like my old home but very much life my new home.

What angel number(s) do you see frequently? 555 is my recurrent angel number of synchronicity and is very meaningful to me. My 17yr old son was murdered and transitioned to his spirit self on 5/5 of 2012. My mother transitioned at the age of 55 on 5/23 in 2010. These numbers show up show up for me daily as reminders that I am not alone, they are right here with me, and I'm doing exactly what I'm supposed to be doing on purpose.
