TWST Housewardens During Your Period (Headcanons)

A/N: I was inspired by my ancient Fire Force headcanons to make one for TWST! I hope you enjoy! 😊 (Headcanons below the cut)

Riddle Rosehearts, whose face gets as red as his hair when he realizes what you mean when you say you're experiencing "that time of the month". Sure, he's heard of periods...but he's not exactly well-equipped to help someone who has them.

He hesitantly asks for advice from his close friends, his arms crossed and gaze awkwardly shifting around the room. Despite the discomfort he feels talking about the subject, he wants to make sure his darling is well taken care of. You're surprised when he returns to you with every pad, tampon and cup known to mankind, stating that he's "ready to help".

His face grows even more red when you smile and kiss his cheek, telling him you appreciate his kind heart. After he gets more in a routine of helping you through your period, he'll start making you hot, fresh tea for you to sit back and relax with. He also enjoys reading to you, his voice lulling you to sleep as he smiles softly and kisses the top of your head.

Leona Kingscholar, who is the embodiment of the "what pussy size you wear?" meme. But in all seriousness, he knows when it's getting closer to your time of the month since you'll want to cuddle more during his long nap sessions (not that he minds). He'll keep his strong arms curled around your stomach as the two of you spend a lazy day in bed.

While he initially starts your relationship with a "tough love" attitude, being with you during your period helps teach him how to be more empathetic and caring with his S/O. Leave it to Leona to accidentally say something insensitive, only for his ears to lower as you begin to cry or send a harsh, silent glare at him.

However, if there's one thing he is good at, it's making sure to spoil you with a nice, long bubble bath. He'll gently massage all the aches and knots out of your muscles before pulling you against him, his chin resting on top of your head as he relaxes with you after a long day (just don't be surprised if he falls asleep).

Azul Ashengrotto, who grows worried when he finds you curled up on his couch in his private office at the Monstro Lounge. He frowned when you sniffed and told him you felt "fat", a sentiment he relates to a little too well (for different reasons, of course). He'll gently sit beside you, his voice calm and soothing as he gently reassures you that, no matter your size, you're absolutely gorgeous. Azul will remind you as many times as you need, whether it's ten or a thousand times.

Despite his divided attention between the lounge and his role at NRC, he's more than willing to set time aside to spend it with you. Whether you want to watch a movie, go to your favorite restaurant, or just rest in bed, he swears to be there for you as much as he can.

His favorite thing to do is surprise you by cleaning up for you (with a little help from two eel brothers, *cough* *cough*). Need your dishes done? They're washed, dried and put away. Laundry still in the hamper? It's already finished and hung up in your closet. Every surface of your living space is immaculate by the time he's done, and the look of relief on your face always giving him a soft, warm smile.

Idia Shroud, who nearly passes out when you message him that you're experiencing the most brutal cramps of your life and you ran out of pads and pain medicine at the worst possible time. Being the amazing boyfriend that he is, he opted to disguise himself to go in public and buy you some (sunglasses and all).

Despite not telling you, he went ahead and created an app that keeps track of your ovulation cycle. Not to be weird...but to make sure he's kept up-to-date on what to expect and when he's going to preorder your favorite snacks, pads/tampons/cups, and other essentials (Side Note: I stand by the headcanon that he gets his S/O plushies to cheer them up).

If you're into anime like him, he'll make sure you're nice and comfy on his bed with a heating pad before putting on your favorite show. Of course, he loves to snuggle with you beneath his blankets during this (he'll be a blushing mess all over again if you chose to give him forehead/temple kisses during your watch party, but he'll always return those kisses in kind).

Malleus Draconia...who has no idea what to do. Lilia never quite got around to explaining it to him other than "the basics", so he's left completely in the dark until you came along. His face grows even more pale as you explain how painful your period is with cramps, bloating, and other uncomfortable symptoms you struggled with. His heart aching for his beloved enduring such a thing.

He seemed a bit taken aback when Lilia looked a little uncomfortable when he nagged him for every detail about a woman's menstrual cycle, to which the Fae replied with "every woman is different" and elaborated a bit on some pointers.

The next day, Malleus appeared on your doorstep with a few grocery bags and an averted gaze. Your smile made his reluctance dissipate as you pulled out all sorts of goodies: candy, a homemade heating pad, and even a small dragon plushie! His expression is much more confident when you thank him for the gifts. Now whenever it's your time of the month, Malleus has a stock pile of blankets, heating pads, and other essentials ready to make a warm nest of comfort for you.

Vil Schoenheit, who (at first) judges you for letting your skincare routine lapse...only to quickly backtrack when you start sobbing and tell him you're on your period. He quickly makes up for it by buying you several decadent flower bouquets and chocolate covered strawberries the very next day, a sweet apology card also included in the bounty of goodies.

Since Vil is more focused on wellbeing, he won't always buy you sweet or salty food you may crave during your period. He'll get you plenty of water and fruit, though, and make sure to keep you motivated with compliments and praise if you're experiencing negative moods (he may go overboard from time to time, though you don't mind).

One day, while he was away filming a new TV show, you found a intricately decorated care package on your doorstep filled with everything you'll need. It became a tradition from then on (whether he was out filming or not) to send these personal packages, each including a heartfelt, hand-written note that remind you just how beautiful and amazing you are.

Kalim Al-Asim, who pampers you endlessly. He has over thirty siblings, many of which (I assume) are girls, so he'd have a good understanding of periods. So when he finds you hiding beneath your covers with a heating pad draped over your stomach, he knows it's time to spoil you.

Do you want/need a massage? Hon, he's already got the lavender oil on hand. Mani-pedi? If he won't do it for you, he'll do it with you at the spa! And while he grew up wealthy, he's not afraid to hand-feed you your favorite food (especially since he gets to see your sweet smile).

Kalim is also mentally and emotionally ready to help you process your shifting moods during your time of the month. Even if you snap at him, he's always quick to forgive you. He has a box of tissues in his room ready to go as he gently rubs your back as you sob, reassuring you that you're not alone and he loves you so, so much. And he always will.

There's so much in this series about learning to love and--even more interesting--learning to BE loved, and both Joel and Daisy are wonderful for that. Hello anon! I will assume that you've read some of my theories so thank you for reading!

Will I be sad if my theories will turn out to be wrong? Good question.

In the very beginning, it was not my intention to become a twst theorist. I simply just dump everything inside of my head here as a concept for a world building of my yumeship. It is obvious I ship my Yuu with Crowley from my header which is already out of the question since most people will ship Yuu with the students. This alone is already different from the main story in my eyes.

All of those theories you've seen so far, it was actually just from Yana's statement in an interview that "Twisted Wonderland is inspired from Through the Looking Glass, and Lewis Carroll's way of writing has taught me(Yana) a lesson". In many modern version of Alice in Wonderland, Alice is often be shipped with Mad Hatter in a way. This is the base story of my yumeship, Ayumu(Yuu) as Alice x Crowley as Mad Hatter in a Wonderland (Twisted Wonderland). However, this rise a problem since we have little to no information of Crowley. And this is the main reason why I did a lot of research in Lewis Carroll's work because I want to base my yumeship lore on it, without knowing that it might really reveal some of the bigger mystery of Twisted Wonderland if it really proves to be true, because me and Yana based our story from the same source.

And as you said anon, it is inevitable to have my theories proved to be different from the game itself but it isn't all that surprising because although we did our story based on the same source, our main focus are different. Yana is more focused on the Disney villains with many Disney facts and Carroll's Wonderland as its framework. Mine is only focused on Crowley with Carroll's Wonderland as the story's framework but is backed up with scientific and mathematical facts more than Disney facts (although I might put some inside of it as well if I see it fits). And this is why in my hc Crowley can be "someone who doesn't have age and origin" rather than "his age and hometown is unknown" because this too actually can be explained scientificaly by theoretical physics and quantum physics, which also makes shipping Ayumu (Yuu) who is already an adult (19) in this case with Crowley becomes even more legal because Crowley here doesn't have age so I wish people would stop assuming me that I am somewhat a proship because I'm not.

Wonderland itself is a world with different logic than Alice's own world, and Twisted Wonderland is a world with twisted history that's been manipulated while being told for generations (Lilia's dialogue in chapter 6) so the main purpose of why those theories are there isn't to prove something is right or wrong, but rather so that people can understand what is the context behind the story before jumping to conclusion.

Yana said in the newest interview for twst in the app store that "you must be able to accept people think things differently from you, that is message we developed in this game"

Alice in Wonderland is a story about a girl falls into a pre-Einstein math version of wormhole so I don't see why I can't do the same thing with my own story, right? 👀

....though as for now I feel a bit reluctant to share about my yumeship lore because I'm actually not good in writing something and I'm still self conscious that people will see me as crazy ahaha

Summary: It’s the final semester of Aelin Galathynius’ collegiate career and she is so beyond ready to be done. Her schedule is packed full of nursing classes and labs designed to test her knowledge and hone her skills for the real world and her “big girl” job. However, she needs one last elective to graduate, so she decides to study a subject she’s always been fascinated by: Mythology. Who would have thought that a class about gods and goddesses living complicated lives would end up complicating her own in such an unexpected way?

Aelin tried to convince herself that she got up and got ready two hours early for class because of her busy schedule. She kept telling herself it was for the meeting she had with her advisor, about a possible internship at the end of the semester.

She knew that both reasons, while extremely important, were full of shit. She knew she’d showered, blow dried and curled her hair for Rowan. It wasn’t that she was trying to impress him. She’d already done that and the chance she had to be with him had come and gone.

No, now it was about proving to him that even though this class may be a gen ed, she was taking it seriously.

Dropping the class had crossed her mind. She really didn’t need to take it, she could still find a different one to pick up. But she didn’t want to think about the sort of impression it would leave about her.

If there was anything to know about Aelin Galathynius, it was that she was not a quitter, nor did she run from her problems.

Or heartaches.

With one last look in the mirror, and a whistle from Lysandra, Aelin was out the door and hurrying across campus. She grabbed a coffee on the way, but avoided her usual place, knowing full well that Rowan enjoyed the same famous cafe that she did.

He wasn’t there yet when she got to the hall, but she took the same seat she had the class before.

She wondered if Rowan would be looking for her this time.

She quickly shook the thought away.

With her hot coffee on the corner of her fold up desk, she was pulling out her notebook and a pen, waiting anxiously for class to begin.

For him to walk through the door.

Apparently he liked to be right on the dot, though, because students continued to wander in, but he did not.

She was tapping her pen against her notebook, doing her best not to stare at the clock. She was just anxious for her day to start. It wasn’t that she wanted to see Rowan.

Professor Whitethorn, she amended in her head. She had to quit thinking of him as Rowan. She couldn’t think of him like that anymore, his body pressing into hers, lips on her neck, as he—

Shaking her head, Aelin sighed and suddenly realized that the rest of the class had hushed. She was so focused on reprimanding herself for her highly inappropriate thoughts that she hadn’t noticed him come through the door and begin setting up for class. When she dared to glance towards the front, she found his eyes on her. He quickly looked away, going back to his laptop and setting up the PowerPoint on screen.

Maybe he hadn’t been looking at her.

Maybe it had all been in her mind.

But she didn’t think it had been.

He had been watching her.

“Happy Thursday, class,” he began, as the title page of his presentation flashed onto the board. “Glad to see you all showed up again. Must mean my first class didn’t suck.” Quiet laughter thrummed through the room. Aelin couldn’t muster a laugh, though. “On Tuesday, we covered the basics. So, today… Sorry, we’re doing that again.”

More laughter, especially from the pretty, flirty girls up front.

Aelin couldn’t help but roll her eyes.

Which, when she settled her eyes back on Rowan, he definitely saw.

Come on, get your shit together, she chastised herself. With her back straightened, she gave him her full attention.

She took dutiful notes, but his slides didn’t hold much in the way of information. They were mostly headers, with a few bullet points. Most of the important information, information she knew would be critical for homework or exams, came straight from Rowan’s mouth.

It was clear that he loved mythology, that it wasn’t just a class his aunt had tossed his way and told him to figure it out. He was a trove of knowledge and she noticed he had a habit of going on slight tangents when he got going on a topic he was clearly interested in.

After a student asked him to clarify what he meant about Hercules not being Zeus’ only son, he ended up talking for nearly twenty minutes about what the beloved Disney movie had gotten wrong. Aelin had stopped taking notes and was watching him go on and on about how Hades, while god of the underworld, was not necessarily a villain. He just had a job to do. A job that had rules that must be followed, or the consequences could damn not only him, but others involved. His eyes found hers again and the amused smile on her face fell as she made the correlation between their own situation and the story.

They held each other’s gazes for far longer than was appropriate, and Rowan cleared his throat, going back to the PowerPoint, and the  predetermined lesson plans he’d made, which didn’t include children’s movie breakdowns.

She watched him.

She listened.

And she found it all fascinating. 

Rowan peeked at the clock after going on and on, and stilled, rubbing the back of his neck. “Well, I guess I���ll end there. There is an assignment due by tomorrow evening. You can find and submit it online. It’s an opinion piece. I want a little insight as to why you were so interested to take this class, or what you’ve found fascinating so far.” He sat on his desk, his legs hanging over the side, his feet nearly touching the ground as he leaned back on his palms. Aelin found it charming. “You’re going to write a short essay telling me of your favorite deity. It could be one I’ve talked about so far, or one I haven’t. It’s your choice. But, tell me why they are your favorite. Give me a little depth. And, remember, this is a college course. Grammar counts.”

The clock struck nine-thirty and everyone began packing up. Aelin had been so captivated by his voice that she had to snap herself back to reality.

She quickly packed up her bag, alongside the other students around her. She noticed then how young they all were, and she was willing to bet that she may be the only senior on the roster. As she was descending the stairs, she found Rowan’s eyes on her again, but he looked away as his attention was taken, thanks to the group of girls who’d been sitting in the front row. She heard vague questions of whether they could all write about Aphrodite, since they all related to her.

The scoff Aelin thought she’d kept to herself had apparently been out loud, since not only Rowan looked at her as she passed, but so did the three girls. With his attention on her again, she decided to give him a little wave.

“See you later, Professor Whitethorn.”

If there was some extra sway to her hips, it wasn’t on purpose.

At least that’s what she told herself.

Two and a half hours later, Aelin was starving. She’d just gotten out of an extremely complicated lab and she could barely focus over the growling of her stomach. Twice, the instructor had looked over at her, half expecting to find a dog stashed under the table she was working at.

So when the class let out, she was hurrying toward the cafeteria ready to get a salad from the salad bar and a big ass slice of pizza.

It was all about balance. 

As she was waiting in line to fill her plate with salad, she heard a voice behind her.

“Are you actually getting lettuce or just filling your plate with ham, cheese, and croutons?” 

Aelin looked over her shoulder to find Chaol, her ex, suppressing a smile.

Aelin chuckled. “If it’s the same price, you may as well pile up on the good stuff.” 

Chaol gave her a small smile. “Fair enough. It’s good to see you, Aelin. You look good.”

Things hadn’t ended the best between her and Chaol, but that had been just after freshman year. At least now when they ran into one another, they could have nice little conversations like this one.

No hard feelings.

“You too,” she said, and he did. He’d been in an accident the year before. They weren’t sure he was going to walk again. In all honesty, it was just good to see him on his feet.

“How long until your class?” He asked, sliding his tray along behind hers.

She glanced down at her watch. “About forty five minutes. You?”

“This is my long break,” he sighed. “I’ve got an hour and a half, but didn’t feel like leaving campus. Want to have lunch with me?”

“Sure.” Her smile wasn’t forced, it was easy and she was glad they could even do this, when three years again, they could barely be in the same room.

“I assume you’re getting a piece of pizza after this,” Chaol said with a smirk, nodding towards her plate. “So I’ll grab us a table while you get the rest of your lunch.”

She scoffed but nodded, and went off to get a slice of pizza. When she ordered her pizza, she also got a slice of cheesecake. It was his favorite, something she hadn’t forgotten, but it didn’t hurt that she liked it, too.

Finding him in the cafeteria, she sat down at the table across from him. “How’s Yrene doing?”

He blushed, and Aelin had to admit it was adorable. After his accident, he’d fallen for his physical therapist, and she was just as smitten with him. It must have been all the one-on-one sessions, because Chaol had never been one to let someone in. Aelin had met Yrene early in her med classes, but Yrene had specialized in PT and graduated in less than three years, taking as many classes as she could manage and even studying through the summers as well.

“It’s going good,” he said, at last. “We, uh, just moved in together, actually.”

Aelin lifted a brow. “That was fast.”

Chaol shot her a look.

Aelin laughed. “I didn’t mean it like that. I meant, good for you. I like Yrene. A lot. You two are good together.”

Chaol cleared his throat before taking a bite of his salad. “Thanks.” 

Aelin chuckled, taking a bite of her pizza.

Chaol blinked. “What?”

“You get so uncomfortable when it comes to feelings,” she said. “Always have.”

His eyes narrowed at her. “That’s not true.”

Aelin stopped mid-chew and raised a brow.

Even Chaol couldn’t help but chuckle at the expression. “Yeah, yeah. Whatever. What about you? Seeing anyone?”

Aelin hesitated, then said, “No.”

A slow grin appeared on Chaol’s mouth. “Didn’t sound so sure about what one.”

Aelin shrugged. “Better be nice or I’m not sharing this magnificent cheesecake with you.”

Holding up his hands in placation, Chaol went back to his salad. Rowan was a dangerous topic, one she wouldn’t share with anyone but Lysandra, so she summed it up quickly. “Met someone I thought I hit it off with. Turns out we didn’t work.”

He slowly nodded. Aelin knew he’d had a couple failed relationships between her and Yrene. “I get it, I’m sorry. Still sucks.”

Shrugging again, she turned to her salad. “It happens. Not a big deal. So if you’re living with Yrene, does that mean you and Dorian broke up? Or is he playing house with you, too?”

Chaol leveled her with a look. Chaol and Dorian had been best friends long before they came to the University of Orynth. They were both from Adarlan, both trying to get away from overbearing fathers, and decided college across the country was the way to do it. They’d been roommates every year and Aelin couldn’t even imagine Chaol living with anyone except Dorian. But now he was. “He moved into an apartment with Manon this semester when I moved in with Yrene.”

Aelin blinked. “Blackbeak? He moved in with Manon Blackbeak?”

Nodding, Chaol went on. “Apparently, they’ve been dating for about a year, without anyone noticing.”

Something in the way he said it told Aelin that he had noticed, but when Dorian had his mind set on something, there was no stopping him. And apparently, he’d decided to date one of the most terrifying women on campus.

Aelin’s response was eloquent. “Wow.”

Chaol grinned. “I like it when you’re caught off guard. It’s satisfying.”

With a scoffed she nudged his leg with the toe of her sneaker. “Well, I don’t. Dorian will be getting a very angry phone call this afternoon.”

“I’ll be sure to give him a warning,” Chaol promised.

Aelin chuckled, taking the last bite of her pizza. “It’s good to see you all happy, though. Really.”

Chaol’s eyes softened. “Thanks, Aelin.”

She nodded. “Even if I am terrified that Dorian will get eaten alive.”

Chaol laughed, and she had forgotten how nice Chaol’s rare, hearty laugh was.

She meant it. She was so happy for them, both of them. It was interesting how things changed over the course of a few short years.

Their conversation continued, as did the laughs, and before she knew it, Aelin glanced down at her watch. She had less than fifteen minutes to haul ass back to the nursing building for her next class. Chaol, who had much longer to sit with nothing to do, assured her that he could handle her trash and told her to get to class. With a hug, and a promise that they’d have dinner soon, all of them, even Manon, Aelin was hurrying out of the cafeteria building.

Somehow, the entire time she’d been having lunch with Chaol, she hadn’t noticed the set of pine green eyes watching her.

Rowan’s own break had been at the same time as hers, but the gen ed building was much closer than wherever she was having to run off to, so he had longer to sit and— there was no denying it— brood. They were halfway across the room, so he couldn’t hear any of their conversation. He had no clue who the tall man was she smiled at so often, but clearly they were very familiar with each other with how easily they talked. And he made her laugh. A lot.

Rowan wasn’t sure why that was what grated on his nerves the most, but it unsettled him.

Seeing Aelin with someone else, someone clearly her own age, it all unsettled him. He didn’t like it. Almost as much as her parting words in class had.

It’s like she was mocking him, yet at the same time, she clearly wasn’t. She was doing exactly as he’d asked of her, seeing him as her professor, not as her boyfriend.

No, he reprimanded himself. Not boyfriend. Hookup.

They’d had sex one time, that didn’t give either of them any claim over the other. It was a hookup and nothing more. And she was his gods-damned student.

She was off limits, in every way possible.

Yet he couldn’t figure out why seeing her with someone else, someone she should clearly be interested in instead of him, had him seeing red.

What the Bean's Day event means (part 2 - the Setsubun)

I actually started to write this in mid to end of March but now it's the best time to post it since EN Twst server is showing the Bean's Day part 2 (and now this is more relevant).

Well, as we saw in another post of mine, the Bean’s Day event (or Beanfest) reference-wise is based on a particular segment of a very old and underrated silly movie "Fun and Fancy Free" made by Disney in the late 40s and also in the famous fairytale. The whole thing about Jack and the Beanstalk, the golden harp, Happy Valley and all those other little things...

But, as mentioned by other people in the fandom and one at my post’s reblogs, the event is also inspired by a real Japanese festival called: Setsubun!

Setsubun (節分) is a traditional Japanese event, famously known for being the “festival for ward off the evil spirits that bring disaster and misfortune”. It’s mostly celebrated at home, but there’s temples that hold the festival as a public event.

I think I wasn’t part of the fandom when the part one of Bean’s Day event was held in the JP server but, when the EN server posted it in March, people were confused because Crewel stated that the event was made in February. That’s because the Setsubun takes place in February and if Bean’s Day is a homage to the festival, it’s obvious that it would be held in the same month in Twisted Wonderland world.

Why was it posted in March then? I legit don't know either

For the most part, the festival centers around the special ritual of “mamemaki” (“throwing soybeans”) that is held mostly at home with the family or at some temples.

The mamemaki is conducted by the Toshiotoko — someone of the family that has the Chinese zodiac sign of that year or the head of the family — and another family member is chosen to be the oni (the demon/evil spirit) that wears a monster mask and throw the roasted soybeans out of the residence. At the same time, the other family members chant “Oni wa soto! Fuku wa uchi! (鬼は��!福は内!)” (Demons/bad luck out! Luck for home!) [forgive me if it’s badly translated in english]

Something that really popped up to me when I was re-watching part of the beginning (I stopped actually lol), is Crewel’s explanation about the Beans Day in NRC. They did the tradition of throwing beans at the students designated as “monsters” but probably over the years, these students got pissed at it and they started to hit it back at the “farmers”...

Actually, if you let in consideration that this happened when Crewel was an student, my bets is that he was the mastermind behind it all on the monster team (I just don’t recall if it really was confirmed in the part2 or it’s just a personal hc that I’m taking way too seriously…).

It’s a very interesting twist in the tradition because it’s not supposed to the Oni attack back the family at the mamemaki (since it obviously ruins the purpose of the event) but it’s not impossible for the people chosen for this role to think this way.

I mean, if I was chosen to be a demon in any circumstance, I would be a little bit annoyed. I didn’t get to confirm if they really threw beans at the "demons" or just out of the house or both but… yeah, not a surprise that our problematic boys didn’t like it to be thrown things without retaliation.

Okay, so I was planning to make a entire post explaining all the rest of the festival but I just gave up on the idea because I found this very awesome blog that I based most part of this post on (and it feels more safe to simply share it with you): https://blog.japanwondertravel.com/what-is-setsubun-22094

The article is very informative and clean to read, I didn’t get confused with all the infos and details like other posts I saw while searching. The site is held by Japan Wonder Travel and they seem specialized in this kind of tour guide to know better about the Japanese traditions and places, working with local professional guides to a more authentic experience. So it’s a more in-detail explanation from a more native view, it seemed to me.

The Bean’s Day event takes references and homages from both the festival in Japan and the segment “Mickey and the Beanstalk” (which is a retelling of Jack and the Beanstalk), mixing both in something very unique and fun. It was interesting to know about these two perspectives because it adds something more to the event.

It isn’t simply a story. Something that someone randomly thought and decided to write a story to make another card event. Much like other twst events, it has a heavy base of knowledge in which it was inspired. It’s not “out of nowhere” and I deeply admire that.

Not only that, the way they create these stories and fulfill us with more lore content because it’s a wide fantasy world with different places, perspectives and characters. Maybe it’s a need of my own but I cherish all those little details. I don’t know how to explain why, I just feel this way.

So Interview With The Vampire is apparently airing? Or available on AMC+ now? A Twitter friend just tweeted about how good the 1st ep was. The time difference between America and the UK is crazy.

Here it's the 30th of September, 4am, and right now, the UK has no way of watching the show.😭😡

It is likely to be included with BT TV since their package includes AMC, but I don't have that, & it involves talking to them about wifi and getting a box etc. We don't get AMC+ here in the UK yet. And they've not said if they're giving it to Disney+ or Prime like they've done with other things.

So, I don't know when or where this show is coming out, and I honestly feel a little fucking cross. I'd just like to watch the gay vampire show without having to learn how to do piracy or do a million and one internet searches!

So I'm gonna block the tags for it, and also...TAG YOUR SPOILERS PLEASE! Thank you.

I really want this show NOW, you have no idea. Ffs AMC, you assholes. 😠😭😭😭

UPDATE: An AMAZING friend of mine has helped my learn piracy and I have now watched both available episodes!!!!!! I am obsessed, this is my newest thing, I am not sorry and my blog is about to be filled with gay vampire content.

So my BatCat fic that I wrote and posted last night (Call It What You Want To) did really well and I've had 3 lovely comments on it!

This has inspired me to write another BatCat fanfic, but I'm not sure what to do for it! So, I want to ask you awesome people on here, should I write:

a) a reunion fic that follows Call It What You Want To?

b) just a random reunion fic, possibly with an identity reveal?

c) missing/extended BatCat moments from the movie?

d) identity reveal fic with Bruce Wayne & Selina interactions beforehand?

Let me know which one sounds best, cause I wanna write some more BatCat asap!

I am afraid to go into the Interview With The Vampire tags right now....I know episode 5 was a lot, and it definitely needed trigger warnings for sure, but I...

I hesitate to say I enjoyed it, but I found it interesting to watch and will keep watching the show, and I also don't feel that the wave of panic about Lestat's character being butchered is true.

Also the people crying about not being able to ship Loustat after this when a lot of you ship Hannigram.....do I need to explain?? Really?🤨

I just don't wanna see the hate and negativity, I just wanna see nice gifs and art etc. and I have a feeling I won't get that.

“For one horrifying second, as Louis curled against the cool metal, he thought that Lestat may leave him there, only protected from the deadly sun by the small terrace. […] He dismissed the thought as quickly as it appeared. Lestat had tried to warn him before he left, but Louis had been too scared, to wrapped up in his own mind to listen to the man. His new lover may be petty and vindictive, but he’d never leave Louis to die, not after everything he’d done to keep Louis with him so far.”

An extended cut of what happened between Lestat opening the gate and him carrying Louis up the stairs, and then a little extended cut of them after Lestat invites Louis into the coffin.

Firefly’s Movie Challenge

I wanted to host another challenge and I hope this idea gives you some inspiration for your creative minds! If not, it’s a list of films that you could watch too.

Basically, create gifs, moodboards, artwork, fanfiction - based on the movies I have listed below. Use a quote, music from the soundtrack, an image, a plotline, a scene… it could be the theme for headers or icons - whatever it is, let your creative juices flow! If you would like a specific prompt, then I’m more than happy to give you one based on the film you choose.

Just to clarify, here’s an example using the Disney film - Hercules. You could do something based on Phil’s dialogue “Dreams are for rookies!” or something based on Meg’s I Won’t Say I’m in Love song, you could create a moodboard based on one of the scenes using your characters.

Deadline to have your works included in the masterpost is 31st August 2021.

11. 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍: Most stories that I watch/read/enjoy, honestly, function as creative inspiration for me in one way or another. Just the sort of ‘I’d love to make something kinda like that’ drive is a big part of what keeps me going creatively.

12. 𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘  𝐁𝐄𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐃  𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑  𝐔𝐑𝐋: It’s from a Babylon 5 quote. I kinda used the quote as the header on my previous RP blog - it’s from Delenn, when she’s explaining to the Grey Council just what it is that makes her regard humans as so special, but I thought a select portion of it could also describe my muses very well too - and when I moved blogs I continued the emphasis on that quote on my header, muses pages, and promo video... so it just made sense, to me, to draw from it for my url too. The full sentence is “Out of their differences comes symmetry, their unique capacity to fight against impossible odds.”

13. 𝐅𝐔𝐍  𝐅𝐀𝐂𝐓: My interest in making my own animation came, originally, from making gif icons for a Disney-based RP site I was on a while ago. I didn’t have a handy screen-to-gif converter at the time, so making gifs entailed the time-consuming process of skipping through the clip I was using one frame at a time, screencapping each one individually, and pasting them into Photoshop to make the gif. It was a lot of work; but it also gave me a huge appreciation for all the little details and subtleties that went into every motion. It was after about two-and-a-half years of doing that that I kinda thought “I’d like to try that myself...”

That first attempt, heh, almost put me off the process for life! But somehow, despite not being at all satisfied with the end result, I had friends commenting on it to say it looked good, and I kinda... found myself drifting back to trying it again, now and then - and eventually turned out a two-minute-long short that I was very happy with at the time. Eventually, I actually went looking up advice and instruction online; but even still, a lot of what I learned of making animation, I just learned from studying movies and shows in that frame-by-frame way until I felt like I understood what was going on.
