Introducing me!

My name is Kenzie, I write things about final fantasy (mainly ff7). Here I post my headcannons, drambles and other things that pop up into my silly brain.

Things about me:

✰ I love cosplaying! My current cosplays are: Aerith Gainsborough (ff7) and Raiden Shogun (Genshin Impact). I am planning to cosplay Aerith, but then her Crisis Core dress.

✰ I play Final Fantasy 7 Crisis Core on Nintendo, and my favorite characters are: Sephiroth, Angeal and Zack!

✰ My favorite music is probably rock music (metal, rock...). My favorite bands are: Rob Zombie, Bon Jovi, Rammstein and Queen. But my music taste is REALLY different, I also love: The Oh Hellos, Hozier, Of Monsters and Men, Radical Face, The Wellermen and Lana Del Rey.

✰ I love reading! I mostly read fantasy, my favorites are: Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, Narnia and The Hobbit.

✰ This is kinda based on my taste in books, but my favorite series and films are: The Lord of the Rings Trilogy (including The Hobbit), Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, Narnia, The Vampire Diaries, Castlevania, Disenchantment and Castlevania Nocturne.

✰ My first language isn't English! I'm from the Netherlands.

@samarashoot exactly exactly exactly. though personal hardship is still relevant to why gay ppl attach themselves to these figures, it is the physical manifestation of inner turmoil (INCLUDING disenchantment with convention) that attracts us to the perfect wrecks. and that manifestation (in both the output and the act of manifestation) is anti-feminine — it isnt conventionally pretty or withheld or controlled like a woman should be. it’s like how gay men are so attracted to their divas because they dont get to be beautiful or feminine or dramatic.

and this brilliant observation is exactly why gerard is the only 2000s man i consider in the pantheon of divahood. freddie and elton and bowie and waits have a clarity of projected self. there is a silhouette, in both appearance and manner, associated with all of them. gerard has that in multiple fuckin forms, and he CONTINUES to. he takes on the character and the drama and the aesthetic, and he has that personal relationship with people, and he has that appreciation for camp and queer art — it all forms a person that can be performed.

ive seen some cosplay of frank’s revenge look or the danger days characters or id imagine you could dress up in the patd outfits… but there’s no personality or strong history to take on. that isnt part of the art. there is no person to emulate

besides the blood or because of the blood, it seems like where the gay diva upholds a perfect appearance, the dyke diva (shorthand for people I a DYKE consider to be divas) is disheveled, unmade, off-putting… but still has a strong aesthetic direction…

Currently rewatching: Disenchantment (i love this one), Heartstopper (rewatch for the season 3, its a bit cringe but who gives a fuck), Helluva boss & Hazbin Hotel, Adventure time, Steven Universe, plus i'm watchin Lucifer and Shameless

Sweet/ spicy/ savoury: Sweet absolutly, i love everything is sweet (apart from those chocolate desserts that are too cloying, ew); i like savoury too, but NOT spicy, I become a cooker even with salt sometimes, lol

Current obsession: how to say no to Hazbin Hotel and Helluva boss, radioapple, Lucifer himself, and the radioapplestatic (don't ask question, the fanarts are very funny); plus, i'm obbsessed to with Sanrio, Billie Eilish, Rex Orange County, Coez and Frah Quintale (italian singers), music itself, coquette and pink, drawing, anime bl, cosplays, hayfields and the song 'harpy hare' aaaaaaaand italian voice actors (like Oreste Baldini, Riccardo Suarez and Rossa Caputo). Help i have too obsessions.

Relactionship status: a single but happy pansexual (no i don't like pans)

current obsession: weeeell it might just be my boy (oc) Cobalt. I've been hyperfixating on him for AGES now and I just. Can't get him to go away ( i say as if I want him to ). I'm writing him as a vampire right now! got almost 13 thousands words, 10 thousand of which i wrote the first day i made the document!!

relationship status: single as they get. hoping for a boyfriend of some kind but. gotta leave the house for that.
