- acting/proclaiming we're exclusives WITHOUT my prior knowledge NOR consent. I personally am not interested in being exclusive with people unless we're genuinely close friends (and there's chemistry for our muses to the point I can see it), and even then, I would prefer if we talked about it and we're both FINE with the idea. However, if you say that I'm ONLY allowed to speak/interact with your muse and NO ONE ELSE'S? That's a hard block. How long is your roleplay experience? Easily 15+ years. I did RP on DeviantArt of all things (and even became a mod of said rp); moved to tumblr RP when it got popular, but then took a break for a few years when tabletop games took interest proper; returned to RP when Cecil and I found TOA.

How were you introduced to roleplaying as a whole? Outside of DeviantArt, I grew up playing a lot of make believe games with friends, which eventually moved to text. But really, dA was the big one that hooked me to RP proper....wild...

How were you introduced to TOA? Cecil was the one who found it? But I was wishing for more tumblr RPs around the time, since discord ones felt too intimidating.

What is your favorite time of year and why? (Season, holiday, general period) I like the part of fall where the leaves change colours. Seeing flora change in general is fun for me.

What is your IRL occupation? IT Support; I also do game dev (mainly TTRPG) on the side when I can

Some interests and things you like/enjoy? I like running TTRPG games, drawing, designing and coding spreadsheets. Making improv games on the fly, rules and all. I also like exploring new places, especially when they're local. Picnics on the beach or park are great.

What non-Fire Emblem games do you play? A lot, but the game I just beat is Xenoblade Chronicles. I'm the sole remaining World Flipper fan- I mean, I like JRPGs a lot, so games like LiveALive and Chrono Cross come to mind as well.

Favorite Pokemon type & Pokemon: Bug type. Snom, Grubbin, Pinurchin, Trapinch, pokemon that have the shape (tm) are my favorites. I've always had a soft spot for the Lati duo as well.

Tell us some funfacts and trivia about yourself! I've lived in Japan for a fair bit, and became N5 proficient through that. I'm trying to study for N4. I will also never stop talking about TTRPG - namely that I make games and one of them is Fire Emblem based.

How did you get into Fire Emblem? NO JOKE BUT I first learned of Fire Emblem through some promotional pamphlet that came with Pokemon Sapphire I think??? And then saw them in Smash. Cecil definitely helped me get into it proper.

What Fire Emblem games have you played? Easier to say what I haven't, which is FE1 and FE3 (or their remakes). Only played Echoes, not FE2. The only games I started and never beat are Warriors, Three Hopes, and FE5.

First & Favorite Fire Emblem games: First exposure was one of the GBA, but Awakening was the first I beat proper, I think. My favorite FE games are 4 and 6.

List your 5 favorite Fire Emblem characters across the series! Niamh, Joshua, Hugh, Idunn, Lethe? Those are the first to come to mind that I consistently like.

Who was the first character ever to make you go “ooh I like this one in particular” and why? Can be any context and reason! This would have been so long ago...I liked characters like Chad, Lugh, Ricken, etc because they were the 'small boy who might not be taken seriously' type. Which, given I was a lot younger back then, also treated younger than i was by my family, and starting to realize I don't define my gender neatly, they were important characters to sympathize with.

Do you believe you have a type of character you gravitate towards writing? I like writing characters who appear composed, put together, etc, but are actually definitely not. Their ability to empathize is either super good or they struggle dearly (but are aware of that shortcoming). the more unconventional their gender, identity, etc is, the better.

Do you have characters or types of characters you don’t think you can handle writing, but wish you could? Honestly any character with a sizeable amount of lore. I'd just spend way too much time worrying I interpreted one of their support conversations wrong or don't do the character 'the right way'.

What kind of scenes, situations etc do you believe you enjoy writing the most? I like writing situations where the characters learn a new facet about themselves, or discover a place beyond their wildest dreams.

Do you have any scenario in mind for your muse(s) that gets you thinking “man I hope I get to write this one day”? Maybe something that lets me explore Hugh's past or defines Niamh pre-meeting Cipher crew?

Aside from Sommie, there are a couple of FE6 characters (Lugh, Raigh, Idunn) who could be fun but I like sticking to one muse per game. pet peeves & dealbreakers: i have quite a bit tbh, which i think a lot of us do when we’ve been around for so long. but my biggest one is copying, whether it’s copying me or my friends and then thinking no one will notice. whether it’s the writing, ideas ( such as hcs and verses ), hell even when it comes to fcs and setting up how a blog looks. i think if you lack originality then maybe this hobby isn’t for you. there’s also this, imo, weird stigma that drawing attention to instances like this is considered drama when it’s not. yeah, it’s rp but people stealing your ideas isn’t right and i wish people would stop watering it down to petty rp drama. i’m going to add this second thing about the ac/otar fandom specifically. if you’re someone who hates on any of the sisters, say mean/negative things about them, and/or complain about the people who like a sister that isn’t your favorite then i don’t want to see you on my dash. it says a lot about you as a person when you say things like that. i’ve blocked people before for it and i will continue to do so. when someone follows me i will scroll through their blog to make sure they don’t act like that before following them because of how many times it has happened. i can’t tell you the amount of times i’ve had people follow me first and then make nasty posts about nesta. i don’t even know what they’re trying to get at when they do weird things like that. but for a fandom that is predominantly women, the misogyny is appalling. i don’t want to deal with people who will shit on the sisters, but will love and treat the men of that series as if they’ve never done anything wrong. 

plots or memes: memes!! i always find it easier to plot once we already have s/t going and i have a feel for how someone portrays their characters. it makes the ideas pop in my head easier than they would starting with no writing at all. and tbh i also do enjoy winging things. 

best time to write: late at night, it’s when i have the most energy and creativity. there’s also nothing around to distract me. 

are you like your muse: extremely. it’s why i get v passionate and protective over her??? the trauma, grief, depression, ptsd, the sister dynamic, her personality, and how she was raised are eerily similar. it’s why i connect with her so deeply and is a character that has helped me through some really rough times. i have two sisters as well and we all have our own problems/struggles with each other and it’s why the dynamic between the sisters is really important to me. i also think that’s why i sometimes see things differently than a good chunk of the fandom does.

experience in rp ? About a decade--- but admittedly, it has mostly been on and off. My most consistent time rping was in the naru/o side of the tumblr rp community as Ino (murasakiirohana). Most of my rping has been on tumblr overall.

best experience ? Just meeting people and having fun making jokes or breaking each other's hearts with angsty ideas. I'm very good at the latter lmao. I like when there is a good mix of solid writing but also not taking it too seriously so whenever I meet people that have the same energy, it is a great experience <3 I also just love reading the in-depth analysis that people bring to their muses because it shows all the love they have for them that sometimes canon just does not.

pet peeves / dealbreakers ? callout posts. I have never entertained them and I never will. If you have beef with someone or just generally a bad experience with them, settle it amongst yourselves or block them. It doesn't need to be a group affair. I also just don't like it when rping is taken too seriously. It's supposed to be fun so I shouldn't feel like I am walking on eggshells, ya know?

fluff, angst, or smut ? When I first started rping, I was into fluff, but man have I leaned into the angst of it all. I get mad at canon for ruining my faves' lives and then I proceed to double down like the hypocrite that I am.

So, overall, angst is my go to but I do love me some fluff. Heaven knows Jinx could use some, she barely gets any chance to feel loved without it going horribly wrong. As for smut--- I don't really do any of that, not my sort of thing. I wouldn't mind romantic threads, but I can't say I've ever shipped successfully lmao. Just never works out.

PREFERENCE OF COMMUNICATION : Discord please! It's faster and it's easier and it has a lot of extra functionalities for both chatting and roleplay. I don't mind the tumblr DMs but they are very unreliable and more than once I've experienced not being notified that somebody messaged me or vice-versa.

NAME OF MUSE(s) : Itachi, basically. However, on discord I've dabbed a bit at writing Kimimaro, Temari, and Rock Lee mostly for fun with friends. And I suppose I should mention I also write muses in other fandoms? Though the Naruto hyperfixation has been real as of late, but yeah, I also have muses in Star Wars, Fullmetal Alchemist, Resident Evil, and several Final Fantasy games.

BEST EXPERIENCE : I would say it's that moment you look at a reply from your partner and 1) you are in awe at their writing and portrayal and wondering how did you get so lucky to write with someone so talented, and 2) you can't wait to get to replying back, no matter how long the thread may be, and in fact you find yourself having so much fun with it and getting so engaged that you easily write back twice as much.

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : Uhhh I would say it's probably to feel that my partner isn't as invested as I am. For example, if we agree to plot but I'm the only one suggesting ideas and coming up with scenarios, and all I get back is short replies or something generic like "I'm okay with anything". Or if we have a ship together (doesn't even have to be a romantic ship) and I'm the only one coming up with headcanons and sharing stuff that reminds me of our muses. By all means, we don't need to talk/ plot/ roleplay every single day! I get very busy myself and sometimes go radio silent. And, as someone who's autistic, trust me that I know very well the feeling of being socially awkward. But roleplay is a partnership and requires mutual investment. If I start feeling like I'm the only one excited about our muses and plots, that's gonna make me feel like I'm annoying you and, in turn, that's gonna be the fastest way to make me withdraw from it.

MUSE PREFERENCES: I have recently confirmed that my muse type is Tall and Handsome and Full of Trauma, and occasionally also full of eye gore. But also I am very drawn to "accidental" heroes, heroes that are heroes not out of a prophecy but because, within their limitations, they choose to do what is right and what is needed. And I am also very drawn to big brother figures?? A lot of my muses seem to end up adopting orphans and/or raising other people's children lmao.

PLOTS OR MEMES : I prefer plotting because, from my self-experience, non-plotted interactions get dropped far too easily (either by myself or by my rp partners). That said, I am also a big fan of letting the muses talk and choose what they want, even if it may go against something previously plotted. And I don't think this is incompatible with memes? I do love memes and they are super good for breaking the ice between people who never wrote together! And also super good to provide new scenarios with which to plot and develop upon.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : I have the tendency to write a lot, so I'd say long replies? Which doesn't mean I'm not interested in short ones! Especially because, sometimes, my brain is too mush to handle the long stuff so it's nice to have short ones to get some writing done. I just find it that, with muses like Itachi who rely heavily on introspection, it really is easy for me to get into it and write a lot more than originally planned.

BEST TIME TO WRITE : Whenever my brain is not dead from work, I guess. As of late, it's been a lot easier for me to write during weekends for this reason. I care a lot about my replies and I don't like to give back half-assed stuff, so really the best time is whenever I can sit down, relax, blast some music, and get to writing.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S) : I am definitely a nerd like Tachi and his perfectionism + obsessiveness come from my own. We are also both introverts and we both often occasionally have... trouble to keep a normal conversation going lol. And, honestly, we are both idealists.

NAME: Prince/Jehr/PJ. PJ is just a combo of the two alias' first letters. Jehr was my original when I first started out using aliases ever, which was created for me by my best friend at the time. I slowly tried to make a new alias for other muses I wanted to write without having them be associated with me-- for some reason? Wanted to hide or start fresh or something I guess? Same friend also made me take a HomeStuck quiz to get my... uh... vibe? I don't recall what it was, but the answer was Prince of the Light and I used that as my personal url for years, so I actually took the newer alias from that.

PREFERENCE OF COMMUNICATION: Discord is the fastest way to get responses from me, simply because the app is always logged in on my phone and pc, while tumblr is only logged in to my personal tumblr via my phone. Any mutuals that would like to add me on Discord: princem0n

BEST EXPERIENCE: To be perfectly honest shit-posting/memes are always a welcome relief and the best way to destress. I recall previously that myself and group of fellow hooligans would constantly make photoshop edits of stupid things that would go around on the dash. Example(s) of something(s) I made during that time:

But I also really enjoyed being able to deep dive into characters relations and how they worked against or with each other. Especially when it came to characters who didn't have their entire story brought to the forefront, like most videogame characters. You don't get to see the behind the scenes stuff with them, most the time, so it's fun to see how they could have gone about or reacted to different situations/after the fact/how it affected them.

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS: Lack of communication. Sometimes I forget things, so I'll typically come ask for an answer or reconfirming that I didn't miss something or misinterpret anything. If there is an issue, I am begging, please just approach me. I often will do this if I have a problem, all I ask is the same in return. I can't stand constantly being left on read, especially when trying to discuss stuff plot related. We can't be on the same page if we don't have conversations going BOTH WAYS.

Other than that I'm pretty relaxed. I, as a slow writer, won't hound people practically ever for responses. We're adults, life happens, things come up, muses hide or aren't as strong as others. As long as you aren't actively ignoring me/our threads, there's no problem. If I don't see you posting at all then I know you just need a breather and that is A-OKAY. This is a hobby for fun. Why be fussy and cause problems due to impatience? I guess that is another pet peeve- impatience- lmao.

MUSE PREFERENCES: Bottoms. I notice myself writing of lot of "tsundere" types? Or redheads. I just love them. Misunderstood but fight against the world because they don't want anyone to know that they're broken.

PLOTS OR MEMES: Both. Both is good. Everything in balance. I used to meme a lot, and I've definitely toned it down. But I don't know, sometimes getting too serious or having too many think-hard-about threads can be tiring, and lil shitposting is a good breather to be able to let you get back on with it.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: Both are nice. I tend to overwrite, simply because my style will typically go into my muse's thought process(es), or if the thread is still being established, I try to set the scene or give background information. But, short replies are nice. Gives you a small thing to work on and take a rest between lengthier threads. That's also why I like random inbox prompts. Not all of them have to go anywhere- just gives you a space to do something else aside from your drafts.

BEST TIME TO WRITE: I am absolutely not a morning person. Night owl to the max. You will see me up still at 3am more often than not. I typically wake up around 10am-1pm, so I'm usually writing right around dinner.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S): In some aspects, sure. Not entirely like one-for-one with any muse, but there's always at least a piece of myself in each muses. Helps write them better, in my opinion. Only exceptions typically being any "self-insert" like characters. (ie. Robin/Avatar from Fire Emblem: Awakening). Most of those characters still have a base personality to them though, so unless you completely customize them, they're still pretty "how do YOU respond" choices change how they are.

MOST ACTIVE MUSE(S)?: I only have two. Cicero is usually the most active because he gets more interaction. But I like writing on both and do so as often as my depression addled brain will let me.

EXPERIENCE / HOW MANY YEARS?: Uhhh.... Well, over ten. Maybe... 13 years? 14 Maybe?

BEST EXPERIENCE?: I've made friends and lost friends and seen comebacks and such. But really I just enjoy consuming your guys' stuff. I read your stuff and alot of you do arts in some way or another about things I like so really it's good for me all around even if I'm not interacting with you at the time. I really do enjoy writing stories with you guys though. I wouldn't say I have one single best experience though. (Such a cop out answer I know)

RP PET PEEVES?: I dunno man. Maybe like... people who take themselves and writing silly little mind thoughts too seriously? I do this for fun, yannow? Its not my life. Idk something like that. It's not like I don't like people who are serious about their writing, it's more like having unrealistic expectations and standards pushed on me to fit into your narrative that I didn't ask for. (Or rather, pushing my MUSES into narratives that I didn't ask for. Like.... in a bullying sense. If that makes sense?)

I've been bullied and shamed and lied to in rp communities before. And I'm just like... over that kind of stuff. I just come here to write my little stories with my little online friends and that's as much as it is gonna be. Yannow?

FLUFF, ANGST, OR SMUT?: I love more serious things like angst. But I also like a bit of soft too. I like writing smut, but sometimes it takes me awhile to work up to it because like.... I don't wanna embarrass myself? lmao

PLOTS OR MEMES?: I like both! Memes are easier to just wash your hands of. But also they're great starters and ways to get to know each other more often than not! I'm honestly terrible at plotting cause I'm such a people pleaser. But- I'm more than happy to talk things out with others and see where it goes.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES?: Both are fine I have no preference. Although I must say I have a tendency to ramble and multi-para even without meaning to. Cicero's got a lot going on in his head specifically and if I don't write it all out I feel like you're missing out on the experience, ya dig? So like... I LIKE writing both. But do I typically write one liners? Absolutely not.

TIME TO WRITE?: Really late at night or early in the morning. (Every so often the afternoon but that's usually when I'm napping. My sleep schedule is shitty cause of my job.)

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S)?: There's some of me in both Cicero and Kira in different ways. They've also defs evolved over the years. Straying from what I intended and such. But I'm not displeased about it. I wouldn't say either are self insert-y though. Cicero is way more confident than I am and Kira is much more hardworking than I am ha ha.

preference of communication : My ims are messed up a bit sometimes, especially on my main blog because I hardly ever get a notification there, but I don't have a preference. Discord or ims work, discord is probably the quickest to reach me.

most active muse :  It changes daily and changes based on my mood, but usually Astrid, Sean, Cassie or Lydia, & Hewlett. Varric is the more active da muse, but my muse is really slow with that fandom for some reason.

experience / how many years :  In the tumblr rpc since 2018, I've been roleplaying since I was 10.

best experience : There are too many for me, honestly, but I think one of my best experiences are with Hewlett's threads, my ship dynamics over the years (like how Lilith/Jacob have been together for around 4 years, it makes me feel old lmao). But basically, I have too many to claim one as my overall best experience.

rp pet peeves : Force shipping, not giving me much to work with in a reply, not communicating. I don't have too many rp pet peeves, honestly.

plots or memes :  Memes? I do like plots, but usually for a first interaction memes are easier. But I don't mind either way. I like both my plotted and meme-centered threads and interactions. Plotting tends to give me a better idea of where a thread is heading.

long or short replies :  Lately, short replies since I'm slowly easing into writing again and long threads weirdly overwhelm me when I'm easing back into writing. But I don't mind either one. Usually, I end up writing a lot in a reply anyways lmao.

are you like your muses : I have multiple muses, but I think I have a piece of myself in each one. I think it's hard to not have that occur when you are writing a character, especially ocs. But my muse type is kind of complicated: I usually go for muses that are not like myself or are just interesting to me in general with their perspective.

For what muse I'm most like, it has to be Cassie. She isn't a self-insert oc at all, but I think my current predicament in life really resonates with Cassie's character arc. I'm trying to find myself in my early years, I come from parents that sheltered me a lot growing up. (Cassie has a very extreme situation with her parental dynamic, way different from mine other than very small aspects of her sheltering situation). I feel my emotions deeply, similar to Cassie, and I love just as deeply (if not deeper). I'm still figuring out my past, trying to find myself, like Cassie and I'm going in the direction I think is right. I'm also looking for companionship as she strives for. But unlike Cassie, I cannot bottle up my emotions (especially anger and sadness). I'm not as gullible as Cassie is. Cassie is more rigid, polite, and formal than I am. I'm more laid back, especially with speaking. She's also more talkative and extroverted than I am. But Cassie does reflect a few traits I want to emphasize in myself. She's probably the oc and muse I'm most similar to.

experience / how many years :  been roleplaying on and off since 2011, took a 5-year break before returning to rp in late 2022.

best experience : i used to run a closed dragon age rp which was so much fun, and i met my fave rp partner ever (vee!!!) there, who i then went on to create several ships with and write so many threads and storylines almost exclusively with. we're still friends to this day even tho she doesnt rp anymore i miss you bitch >:c

rp pet peeves : nothing frustrates me more than being left on read in dms, its just the disregard/carelessness that puts me off. a close second is when effort is one-sided: so often i feel like nothing happens if i'm not the one initiating plotting convos, coming up with ideas or writing starters, which is kinda depressing

fluff, angst, or smut : ALL!! make it an arc that develops characters with a mix of all three and im sold

plots or memes : PLOTS. i like memes as an occasional thing, but the way the rpc has shifted away from planned threads to near-exclusively rping through memes and never plotting or even just continuing a thread beyond like 2-3 replies is def not a change i've enjoyed :/

long or short replies : both, shorter are much easier and preferable when its a casual scenario, but i definitely prefer longer replies for threads that deal with complex relationships or events bc i need the space to explore internal conflicts or dump a ton of dialogue lol

time to write : if i'm super inspired by a thread/ship, it doesn't take me long to reply at all, i'll reply as soon as same day or next day. longer replies will sometimes take more time to come up with the right words/approach/mood, on rare occasion i'll scrap a reply entirely and start over. but even if it somehow takes months i'll always reply, i dont think i've ever dropped a thread unless i drop the whole character?

𝙱𝙴𝚂𝚃 𝙴𝚇𝙿𝙴𝚁𝙸𝙴𝙽𝙲𝙴: i'm one of the lucky ones in which i've never really had any bad shipping experiences, so every time i get to ship with someone else's muse it just. warms my heart uwu. all my ship partners have been so lovely and sweet and their muses have been wonderful and i end up falling down rabbit holes so quickly and imo i consider enjoyable ships a kind of rpc love language at this point 😭

○   BEST EXPERIENCE: Too many! Aside from the friendships which go without saying as the best part, there have been so many hilarious, angsty or exciting plots over the years

○    RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS: Honestly it’s a goes-without-saying “don’t be an asshole” kinda thing for dealbreakers: lots of drama, poor behaviour, that sort of thing. 

○    FLUFF, ANGST, OR SMUT: All! I’m a big lover of all genres having their place as part of a varied set of threads, and that always gives me something to jump for if I’m not feeling one particular thing on a night. Slice-of-life and fluff are super cute, but I do feel they need a little more plotting/direction else they fizzle out quickly or become repetitive. Action/adventure is super under-appreciated and I loooove a good fight, adventure, or dramatic escape kinda deal :D Hurt/comfort is great for some relationship building when it’s on a fair balance and it��s not always the same one muse always expected to do the comforting. I am frequently bapped with a rolled up newspaper by partners for going too hard on the angst train >:) and as for smut? I’m stunned how little Thor’s gotten here over the years even though he’s open to it tbh xD I’m open to all of it, especially as a means to develop character relationships and explore their dynamics.

○    PLOTS OR MEMES: Light/moderate plot and memes! Heavy plotting can work in the right circumstances, but I best enjoy having a skeleton of a plot arced out (”XYZ happens, then maybe they do ABC and can wind up at F!”) and then go ham with everything in between without need for pre-establishing details. Memes are FANTASTIC for some casual banter and creating in-jokes or incidents muses can reference, but I don’t prefer them as the bulk of my writing. Memes which organically develop into a full thread with a plot have been some of my favourites.

○    LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: Whatever fits the situation, I’ll adapt as the thread/s call for it. I’m kind of a mixed bag where brevity always feels right for the pace of something action-based, but angst will tend to lean longer as there’s usually a lot more room for internal reflection. I don’t tend to worry about matching partners too closely as long as either side have enough to go on in their next reply without being left miles behind.

That being said, with time constraints I prefer to lean towards less lengthy replies, tell myself I’ll whip up a brief post, then get overexcited and waffle on xD especially with my less-loved muses or OC’s: their replies tend to run a bit longer because I’m so desperate to actually have the chance to write them!

○    BEST TIME TO WRITE: Evening or mid-afternoon if I’ve got the time

○    ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S): Oooh not sure if that’s really for me to say or y’all who know me best, right? I mean he’s a massive Asgardian deity yeeting through space and lifting things heavier than cars like nbd and I am a reclusive lil chihuahua of a human lmao. He’s certainly more sociable and confident! I guess we’re both painfully stubborn, impulsive, loyal; love to eat, love animals/nature, have a complex family dynamic and identity issues out the wazoo. I used to have to wear an eye patch as a kid and may well lose sight in one eye over the years, so I guess there’s also that xD
