Lost Foods Final:
Previous Winner Match Up.
NOTE: I feel the need to clarify some things about what constitutes a lost/discontinued food for the purposes of this poll.
I have never heard of some things in this series of polls and I'm taking people's word that they are lost foods. Some things are possibly no longer available in the region or country where the suggester lives.
I am assured by and endless barrage of commercials that Dunkin' Donuts exists. I haven't seen one in person in decades. People tell me Ikea exists. I haven't seen one since the early '90's.
If it's something someone loves that used to be commonly available in their country or region that they can't get without crossing a border, international shipping expenses, traveling more than fivish hours, or a time machine, I'm calling it fair game.
I'd rather be inclusive than exclusive.
I am not counting things like that one particular special sauce that one food truck used to have that went out of business or things that people bake/cook at home if they have a reasonable amount of money, skill, and time, but most people would by in a bakery.

Chances are pretty good that I ate at least one of these Chef Boyardee offerings at least once a week every week from 1991-2000. Lunch of millennial champions.

I am a very picky eater. When I find a version of premade food I like (like a canned soup or frozen pizza) I eat that brand/version exclusively, forever. My favorite brand of frozen tofu and vegetable dumplings was discontinued a few months ago, and it sucks. I've tried like 6 other brands and none of them have been as good. They don't taste as good or the dough is too thick or they're too spicy or they don't have enough protein or or or. It's so annoying. So. I think sometime in the near future I will try making and freezing my own homemade dumplings. It always intimidated me but honestly looking at some recipes it doesn't seem as hard as I expected. I'm sure mine won't look that pretty but as long as the filling tastes good (which it will bc I'll be able to adjust seasonings to my taste) and I can make the wrapper stay closed it's fine. And then I can do that every few months and always have dumplings in the freezer. Because this "buying other brands" thing is NOT working out.

Retired Girl Scout Cookies
And How to Recreate Them
Disclaimer: I am only including recipes that are specifically listed as copycats for the original Girl Scout cookies or linked as a substitute recipe for a cookie. Van'Chos, for example, are chocolate or vanilla sandwich cookies, much like Oreos, but there don't seem to be any Van'Chos copycat recipes online and various commenters have said Van'Chos didn't taste like Oreos or similar cookies. So no recipes for them.
