Oh my gosh I love that question so much thank you 😭😭🙏 Honestly I always love thinking of Achilles gaining weight as he grows older in any AU, whether that is a canon divergence AU where he gets to live and return to Phthia, or some other kind of AU where he doesn’t need to look or "be" a certain way anymore. Disasters is a little bit different because neither Achilles nor Patroclus need to have a specific physique, but I do like thinking of Achilles who feels more and more comfortable in his body and takes care of himself enough to have at least three meals of proper food every day and his diet doesn't consist of peanut butter, cereal, and cheese toasties anymore 🤣 So he might get a little squishy around his tummy and his thighs and his cheeks are a little fuller, and he's the happiest and healthiest he's ever been 💕

Patroclus is obsessed with those extra pounds and he just can’t stop touching and squeezing him LOL he loves his husband no matter what, but he's even more cuddle-able now and he just can’t resist him 🥰

I had an insane little thought in my insane little brain and needed to share it so I can get it out cause I have been giggling about it on and off for about 30 minutes despite it not being funny. So here it goes.

Chiron is homophobic but like… in the literal sense of the word. He is legitimately afraid of gay people, particularly gay men. Why? Well after watching Achilles and Patroclus defy gods and almost defy fate itself and tear down a city before it was time to for each other, wouldn’t you be a little scared of homosexuals???

I think I saw a post about Chiron being afraid of gay people because of those two once and it didn’t click until now that the legitimate fear of gay people would likely be called homophobia and it made me giggle.

The funniest thing happened.

I sent this picture to a friend of mine with no context, I just wanted to know whether it was good or not. She doesn't know anything about Patrochilles or fanfiction but she's really sweet and supportive and borderline annoying.

So I send this to her and this was her reply.

"As soon as I saw this, I think I get the backstory which is I think is two women of different colour and different religions falling in love. Like, the shine on the cross tells how important Christianity is to her and how she's a faithful Christian and this is not like regular lovers with their hands interlocking but the way they're touching show how GENTLE they are with each other, like both of them want physical intimacy but are hesitant and timid about their relationship and there's their cultural and social differences and pressures....yeah one thing I can't understand what does that pink band signify? OMG did I just type all of that dude I just said what came to my mind."

I mean....

She sent this in 5 minutes. And she used to be slightly homophobic a year ago so this is a lot of progress for her and she's so fucking sweet and adorable and an overall cinnamon bun.

I told her the story wasn't accurate but I loved her version and that she should write her own book.

The insane amount of creativity she has at command though. I love her so much that little bitch

The floor of my room is riddled with the neverending holes of different ships and fandoms. One day I might be taking a leisurely plunge down the Newtmas hole, and another day I might be sliding casually down the hole of the Red, White and Royal blue fandom. Currently I'm free-falling down the Patrochilles hole and making no attempt to stop myself, but soon enough, a post or artwork or supernatural force will pick me up and toss me back down the Symbrock hole. I never know what ship or fandom waits for me on this wonderful app. Everyday truly is an adventure.
