“I’ll take a break once I’m back at my apartment... Or when things get a bit less hectic for the both of us.” For the most part, the female Brit’s duty to her friend/charge came first... She was a bit over-dedicated to her job.

“Milo, I don’t think that’s a good idea.” He says, crossing his arms, a small smile on his face as he watches the other boy. Melissa had gone with her family somewhere for the weekend and had been pestering Zack the entire time, with stupid emojis mainly, trying to convince Zack to tell Milo about his stupid crush on the walking cyclone of disaster. Which was so not going to happen, ever. Zack glances at his phone again, seeing the simple “💘😘😍” across his screen, and quickly hits ‘delete’.

“You know, we’re going to have to go buy another notebook, right?”

Before he knew it, the boy’s arms were wrapped around his waist in a gentle but tight grasp. As the warmth of Milo brushed against his cold body, Ormad looked down, surprised to see such a gesture to such a being.

He couldn’t help but shiver from the unfamiliar feeling, though. He wasn’t used to being hugged from anybody but Rudy. But he didn’t mind. He loved hugs.

“Hello, Milo,” he softly greeted with a small smile crossing his lips. Ormad’s arms cradled around the boy’s shoulders, bony hands held together on the nape of his neck. “I’m surprised. You seem…more happy than usual.” A quiet chuckle escaped him. 

The man began to crouch, before he knelt onto one knee to equalize Milo’s height. Then he fully wrapped him into a full on hug, nuzzling the end of his chin onto the kid’s shoulder.

Ormad loved hugs.

“Always one step ahead, Milo... Thank you.” She would ruffle the boy’s hair fondly with her usual faint grin, making a mental reminder to keep the mug safe. “Happy holidays, lad.”

Zack felt his heart drop as soon as Milo sat down and nothing happened. No Murphy’s Law, No Melissa, No interruptions. Nothing. That was rare, and honestly? Zack wasn’t sure he was grateful for this single quiet moment.

“Nothing’s wrong,” Zack says with a sigh as he sits down beside the other. His gaze focused out towards the street, avoiding Milo’s. This was stupid, he shouldn't do this. Milo was happy, bright, cheerful, quick-witted, intelligent, and Zack was well, he was just Zack. “I just--”

“I’ve been thinking a lot lately,” Zack says, finally glancing at the other, his heart leaping into his throat. Forcing the words out before he could even prepare himself to say them, “I guess I kinda have a crush on you.”

Rob couldn’t have helped flinching when Milo embraced him. He had been hyperfocused on trying to get the stickers on the deck of his skateboard perfect, which ultimately lead to him shutting out the rest of the world momentarily. The contact was unexpected, but most definitely welcomed. 

    “Milo? You scared the shit out of me, man-” he laughed, leaning back against the other boy. A bit of self consciousness creeped along his back, although he was more than sure that the scars couldn’t be felt through the fabric of his shirt. Besides, Milo knew about already knew that they were there. 

He pointed towards the heavily decorated skateboard, “look, I made sticker with your last name on it. You like it?”

I am proud to say that this blog has reached 60 followers, the highest I’ve had with my roleplaying blogs! And though that doesn’t seem like much, I don’t really care about how much I have, because I’ve met amazing people along the way!
