the noises that she had made were always like music to his ears, from her little gasps, to the moans, to the way she called out his name, it was all enough to have him going nearly feral. he'd only just barely entered her, and already she was holding him so tightly, something that alaric would never grow tired of. ❝ good, i always want you to be needy when you see me, so much that you've got to physically restrain yourself from jumping me when we're in public. ❞ alaric chuckled, sliding more of himself into her as he felt her walls stretching to accommodate him. ❝ you make me feel so good too. ❞ he muttered against her hips, returning the kiss as he deepened it, building a slow pace against the girl, slowly fitting more of himself into her. one hand had stayed against her hip, fingertips pressing into the skin as he held her in place.

Ruby's eyes rolled back at his touches, gasping when he pushed two digits inside of her. Her walls clenched around them tightly, adjusting more as she managed to relax underneath his touch. "God, Alaric-" she breathed out, nodding heavily at his words. "You make me so needy.." She answered, admitting the way she was desperate for his loving and touching. Hands grabbed either an arm of his as he positioned himself between her legs, and she pulled up her knees to give him more access. The grip on him tightened as he started to press himself against him, head pushing back in the pillow. "Yes," she whispered out softly, relieved even. "You make me feel so good." One of her hands moved up to his chin, fingertips moving past his lips before she pushed herself up a tiny bit, just so she was able to press a kiss to his lips.

this wasn't supposed to be his problem. luke kept his life planned and structured. he made it clear what areas of town his men could operate in and which they couldn't. he had rules. they didn't kill unless they had to (and unless he gave the say--and that rarely happened), and they didn't hurt women. sure, he was a criminal, sure he ran the biggest criminal underground society in the city (on the whole coast, he was told), but that didn't mean he couldn't have standards. except all of that had been blown to hell when his men dragged in HER.

they'd brought her before him, bound and gagged, thrown her to her knees at his feet. "we had no choice boss," said one of the men nervously. "she saw...well she saw what happened down on fifth and sax." luke grit his teeth. looking at him, you wouldn't be able to tell his mood at all. his face was no different than it always was, set and serious. but the mess on fifth had been a mistake. people had died, and he hadn't wanted it to go down that way. the one time things got out of control, had his men really had to be stupid enough to also leave a witness "what do you want us to do with her?" the man asked.

"leave her," luke growled. "everyone out. now."

erik gritted his teeth, both from the pain lancing through his side and the venom in her words. his vision swam, but the fiery red of her hair stood out sharply against the dull tones of the sky above. that, and her voice—sharp, cutting, and all too familiar. she’d grown since he’d last seen her, no longer the timid girl hiding behind her mother’s skirts. yet, her attempt at toughness now struck him as almost amusing, even as her words cut deeper than any blade. “you always did talk too much,” he rasped, his tone dry despite the pain. “still trying to act tougher than you are, i see.”

Iris tried to stifle a laugh, but it slipped out anyway, a breathless sound that mingled with her lingering coughs. "So, note to self—don’t inhale like I’m trying to win a medal," she teased, eyes still watery but bright. The warmth buzzing under her skin felt strange but not unwelcome, like sinking into a too-soft bed. Her gaze softened when Daisy tucked the loose strand behind her ear, the casual intimacy making her heart flutter in a way she wasn’t sure had anything to do with the joint. "I feel... yeah, I’m okay," she murmured, her voice a little dreamy now. The world was tilting, but it wasn’t spinning out of control. She could handle this. Taking the joint back between her fingers, she hesitated for a moment before bringing it to her lips. This time, she took a smaller drag, letting the smoke curl out of her mouth instead of fighting to hold it in. A lazy smile stretched across her lips. "You know," she said, glancing at Daisy through half-lidded eyes, "I think I could get used to this. The haziness... and the company."

He should have kept his anger in check, and shouldn’t have scared her like that but all he had was his anger and her, and he might have just lost one of those things due to the other. He was still hyped on the adrenaline of the kill, letting anger flow from him. “You shouldn’t have come here.” He remarked in a soft tone, his blue eyes searching her face, he could read the fear on her face and maybe that was what finally broke him out of his rage because his eyes softened slightly as he gazed down at her. “You’re right, I don’t want to hurt you, but you should have stayed away.” He removed the knife from her neck, even giving her a bit of space. “What am I going to do with you, Ruby?” He asked. “You have all the power to destroy me — in multiple ways, do you know how dangerous that is for me?”

There was no way that she could live freely after what she’d seen but that didn’t mean she had to die either. That was way too easy, keeping her for something less than ideal would teach her to keep her nose out of people’s business. Being a gang leader meant tough calls and this was one of them, it wasn’t like she liked making girls take these positions but if she didn’t, worse things would happen for sure. 

Julie was sitting in a lush chair when they brought her in and her eyes widened slightly, she knew her from somewhere. Standing up Julie made her way over, the members parting as she approached. They were scared of her, as they should be. “Sorry boys, this one is mine.” She got a lot of annoyed sighs from the group which stopped as soon as she glared around. “Go. Now.” With that, they dispersed. 

Kneeling Julie took a switchblade out of her bra before popping it open and cutting her restraints. “I assume you know why you’re here?”

chase only shook his head at the first comment, knowing that it wasn't worth it to bring up anything else about the other girl. mostly because it didn't matter, he hadn't wanted to see her, olivia didn't know who she was, and he didn't need to waste anymore time on it. ❝ okay, first of all you didn't reject me. i would've never known, but i have a problem with minding my own business, so i had to say something. ❞ he laughed, happy to see that she was getting comfortable, and also that she didn't seem to regret coming with him, given her answer. ❝ i promise i will do my damn hardest not to fall in love with you. but it'll probably be so hard, and i'll just be left here all sad and shit. ❞ chase laughed along with her, relaxing back into the couch with her. ❝ normally i'm just a dare guy, but i won't make you think of two in a row, so i guess just truth. ❞ 

Olivia's brows raised in surprise as he explained why the girl was texting him and she couldn't help but laugh. "God - she sounds lovely.." Her tone was bitter and sarcastic, but she chuckled afterwards anyways. At his question, she pulled up her feet upon the couch and sat sideways, eyeing him. With a shake of her head she started to answer. "Partly, maybe - but you offered me a place to stay. Something you didn't have to do after I pretty much rejected you." Olivia said. "I honestly didn't know what I was thinking for following a stranger. But so far, you're actually not that bad. You're pretty fun to be around. I mean, you haven't tried to kill me yet." She smirked a little. "I just really hope you won't fall in love with me because that would just be a sad little winter story and I'd have to break you heart and stuff." She tried to just make a little joke of it now, shrugging slowly. "All jokes aside; you're nice." Olivia admitted finally. "Truth or dare?"

this isn't the first time she's waited up for them, though one of the first that they'd been out longer than anticipated and found her asleep, and admittedly, both men can't help but feel a bit of guilt. roman is quick to snatch up the outstretched fingers ⸻ pressing a brief kiss to their tips before she's up and rotating to address asher. a soft chuckle of amusement escapes the man at her words. "cheeky brat," still, he wastes little time in bending forward to scope her up and head in the direction of the stairs. "now you're just askin' too much sweetheart."

the end credits had clearly rolled some time ago, if the display across the tv screen was anything to go by. "missed you too doll. sorry we kept you waiting." rolling his eyes at roman's antics, asher is slower to follow after the pair ⸻ ensuring the house is locked up and lights are off before trailing after them. "let us clean up a bit and i'm sure that big lug will shower you with all the attention you could want and more."
