Who is gentle with the flowers in their mother's shop but will rip out an enemies throat with their Inuzuka teeth on the battlefield. Their canine companion biting down to hold their enemy steady so they can use the Mind Transfer Jutsu. Ugh I need this!

A [Shikamaru x Hinata] child with the abilities of the byakugan combined with the shadow moulding abilities of the Nara? Shadows literally wrapping around their opponent and bringing them into range, they wouldn't even have to move in a fight! Also; maybe the byakugan could help with looking after the deer as well in a medical way?

A [Kankuro x Sakura] child that can manipulate puppets like their father but with the medical abilities of their mother? Long-distance healing anyone? Maybe they have two puppets, one for attack and one for healing? But oh they're a puppet master so their taijutsu must be terrible. You're in for a rude awakening. Gimmie gimmie gimmie.

A [Shino x Tenten] child where they have the hive and battle strategies of their father but the weapons knowledge, physical prowess and pinpoint accuracy of their mother. Minami never had a friend in her entire life --- and for good reason.

❥ From age five to fourteen, she was a part of gangs consisting of other similarily abused, poor and sadistic youth; they would gather to brutalize children from the upper caste or brutalize each other, using it as a way to vent their frustrations and satisfy their growingly violent urges. Even among them, Minami stood out as especially bloodthirsty. 

She found pleasure in extreme levels of cruelty which, when combined with her sensitive temper and skill, meant she was a ringleader for her peers. Her place in the hierarchy was only cemented by her strict behaviour towards ‘weaklings’, punishing perceived acts of disrespect or challenge from the rest of the group by maiming them, often to the point of disability. While this did earn Minami some amount of followers and admirers (of which only the strong dared voice their crush), it meant that nobody really risked anything beyond short, surface-level interactions in fear of being the next one to be made an example of.

❥ From age fourteen to seventeen, Minami was a member of Inuzuka Tatsuo’s gang --- “Kiba” --- and behaved in a similar way she did prior her defection, although now with little to no reasoning behind her ‘rampages’ (being deranged with grief and a borderline alcoholic). Her role as Tatsuo’s guard / pet dog and his public displays of physical and emotional abuse of her added a layer of isolation that further prevented Minami from forming even small bonds with others. She had no desire to do anything but kill anyway...

❥ From age seventeen to twenty-five, she became significantly restrained and socially aware in comparison to her younger self but, while mostly purposeful, Minami’s shows of domination became much more brutal due to her increase in ability and apathy towards her acquaintances. This made her a figure to be feared rather than befriended. She also had much less time to even attempt being liked due to constantly working towards both her own goals and the Akatsuki's. When it came to other Akatsuki members, she rarely met with any other than Pein and Konan due to her status as a ‘spare’ , as well as being ill-suited for teamwork to begin with.

Kiba is an idiot but he is a sensitive idiot. He will figure out how to be around his cousin without hurting them one way or another. If he knows something will comfort them, he will. Every time. Probably treat them like he would treat similar to Hinata. He will be careful about upsetting them but at the same time he won’t be this super gentle person who won’t watch everything he does... again he’s an idiot. He will screw up a few, a lot, of times but he will learn from his mess ups, feel bad about harming them by accident if it is by accident and then try to make up for it. He is a caring person who wants to do what is best for who he cares for. Just don’t make him to overly sensitive to situations because that just isn’t him either. He is sensitive about how he feels when he does mess up and tries to learn from them. SHINO with Pregnant S/o

Similar to daughter post, he will do everything in his power to protect and help them. He would spoil them when they are upset but not spoil them rotten and if she says “I’m craving” or “I need” you can bet within the hour she has it. He will do a lot of research and even talk to Kiba’s family to learn more about her personal triggers and stuff that he needs to watch out for. She got fears of spiders and if she sees one she thinks there is some on her? He got that handle, he is bug-boy after all. She doesn’t like the feel of something squishy? No problem, all squishy is gone from there if at all possible. 

He is smart, one of the smartest of his generation, so he knows what he can do and can’t do and how to help where he can. If he doesn’t know he will ASK her or ask someone extremely close to her. If all else fails he will fall back into something he KNOWS helps her, either it is soothing music, cuddling, favorite foods, or whatever else, he will make it happen. BOTH Just because there are positives also there are negatives. For both, they will find it hard at times to help or be supportive, but they will do their best. No one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes. It is human nature. But if anyone tries to mess with the person in question, both of them would go super protective. They don’t like others harming or insulting the ones they love. Kiba would be more hotheaded and in your face about it. Shino will be more cool-headed and plotting something, or in later years he may as well be trying to find how to turn this into a learning session. That is for the fact that he is a teacher in later years and if any of the assailants (for lack of a better word, other than bullies or people being arrogant/whatever else) he will want them to know what they did wrong and not be super scary about it unless they are adults and really push his buttons but he will still stay cool-headed and try to make them realize their mistake and calm his s/o down. 

No matter of the disability or lack of, both Kiba and Shino will do what is best for the person they care for. They will want them to be happy and thriving in whatever they care for the most and what they do. Kiba is supportive and probably even see the cousin as a little sibling like if they are close, if not then he will still be protective of them because that is just Kiba for you. Shino will always treat their s/o like they are a princess or queen and he would try to help them out of their comfort zones when they are ready but never push them. Kiba might push by accident, but he means no harm, he just wants to help.

When she becomes a jounin, her alias changes accordingly to “Kage no Shoujo”. CLAN: Nara. She belongs to the honourable Ne family, which is one of the six families part of Nara Council. AGE: 20, post Fourth Great Shinobi World War (3 years older than Konoha 11, in general). HEIGHT: 170 cm. RANK: Tokubetsu Jonin, promoted at 17. PHYSICAL ASPECT: Neka has a rather slender, lean frame, at a first look she could seem quite frail and easy to break. She has neck-long, straight black hair and cataract-obscured, almond-shaped eyes (colour is faded blue-gray, so unusual that she has been told various time to wear sunglasses in order not to freak people out). Neka can actually see only shadows of whom and what stand in her nearest surroundings. As a result, she has sharpened her hearing sense to an enormous extent; she has learnt how to echolocate quite easily. Her nails are chewed and broken with bleeding hangnails, but except for it she holds a decent overall appearance.

PERSONALITY: Neka is a tranquil young woman who only speaks when spoken to, mostly because she doesn’t care for expressing her thoughts to other people. With a bright intelligence and a perception talent, she is reserved and introvert like many in her clan, with solitary tendencies linked to her physical disability. She doesn’t like to be bothered for minor things and people with too sunny of a disposition are said ‘to give her headache’. This being said, Neka is extremely loyal to her family and to the people who prove to be considerate of her situation without tripping into useless and undesired commiseration for her. This was what drew her to become a Nara Guard in first place. Her humor is dry and her sarcasm on point, yet if one manages to see this side of her should not be troubled, for those are qualities she only shows to whom she feels emotionally attached to. She has a strong sense of duty and responsibility, which makes her a naturally gifted leader despite her sight disadvantage. Nonetheless, it’s not difficult for her to take a step back when someone else holds the leadership of a certain group, rather she is a good follower as well.

BACKGROUND: Born with cataract in both her eyes, her sight worsened in a short period of her early childhood and allowed her to only see flashes of lights obscured by shadows. Her father, Neichi, and her mother, Akemi, were worried about the kid’s possibility to become a ninja, but her grandmother Nemi told both to harbor hope in their hearts, since shadows have always been companions of a Nara’s life.

Indeed, Neka’s bond with shadows proved fundamental during her growth: she was not trained as an average ninja and this helped her flourishing into a completely revolutionary kind of fighter. Neka’s incredible connection with shadows was hastily rumored all through the clan and when she turned fifteen she got called by Nara Shikaku, the clan head himself, to be a member of his family’s escort.

Neka refused at first, only because she didn’t feel up to the situation and in her opinion she still had a long way to go before being able to live up to his expectation. Shikaku demonstrated to be comprehensive of the girl’s doubts and gave her some other time to better train herself.

Being enlisted for a short period in ANBU as a chuunin, she dropped out of the Black Ops when Third Hokage decided to promote her to Tokubetsu Jonin rank together with few of her colleagues. Especially, her appointment was justified because of her valuable role as team coordinator.

After her advancement in rank she asked Shikaku if the Guards assignment he had proposed her was still available. At the age of nineteen, she officially became a Nara Guard, yet she (as well as her colleagues) did not quit regular tasks as a kunoichi.

In occasion to the outburst of Fourth Great Shinobi World War she was deployed in Mifune’s Fifth Division, together with Yamanaka Ino, Aburame Shino, Inuzuka Kiba and Hana. Back to Konoha, she joined back the Guards Corps as the protector of freshly-designed leader Nara Yoshino.

JUTSUS & ABILITIES: Neka’s abilities all revolves around her deep connection with shadows. Neka is in fact able to communicate with all the shadows in her surroundings, even those who do not belong to her, to state enemies and allies’ positions on the battlefield (for a range of 50 meters). By touching someone’s body and consequently instilling her chakra inside them, Neka is able to control their shadows as her own (her level of control is subdued to the amount of chakra she gives out, so she must hold it in check and weight up every move she makes). Neka is also able to materialize her shadow to create arranged weapons, shields or extension of her limbs. List of jutsus Neka can perform (*= only peculiar to her): Echolocation (not jutsu). Neka’s sexuality is on gray spectrum. More specifically, she is a gray-A and only experiences sexual attraction on rare occasions. As long as her romantic interests are regarded, she is convinced she is aromantic, but actually it’s just very hard for her to fall in love.

Neka, like Nara Morimaru, was originally conceived as an antagonist to Nara Yoshino’s regime.

Gai + Kakashi

I’m gonna start with the obvious because there’s no escaping it. Kakashi and Gai are the bestest of rivals and that’s just how it is. Lots of opportunities to do whatever the f we want bc they work really well together. Personally, I’d love to explore Gai’s coping with his disability post-war bc as much as I love the idea of him being a ray of sunshine that will never give in, that’s just not realistic. He’s hurt, he’s in pain all the time and most of all: he’s angry. How will that affect them??? How does Kakashi deal with unbreakable Gai suddenly broken? The only constant in his life? Tell me!!

Kiba + Kakashi

Mentor/mentee!!!!!! Kakashi trains a kid that he doesn’t instantly dislike or dies or abandons Konoha in the pursuit of vengeance! Refreshing, inspiring, really fun! Kiba is definitely not the brightest but he’ll do his best, especially bc he wants to detach a little from the Inuzuka’s traditions to become his own person. He’s not after the Chidori, no sir, don’t worry about it. He wants to be able to fight fast and hard and to be maybe a little less impulsive??? Very difficult task, Kakashi. Help the boy.

Ibiki + Kakashi

Very weird dynamic, unexpected....? friendship? something? I have no idea, Ibiki is a mystery to anyone and everyone, but should Kakashi need some dirt on someone, Ibiki’s the guy. Could be the two of them just hanging, nothing elaborate.

Chojuro + Kakashi

I have no idea what I want with this, but it just occurred to me: lightning chakra users. Chojuro is very powerful regardless of how much he belittles himself. Could be the principle of something fun.

Itachi + Kakashi

Give me these two in any setting at alllll!!!! Itachi working with the Akatsuki and acting as Kakashi’s mole? Absolutely great. Non-mass au and they’re just vibing senpai/kouhai style? Love it. Bonding over their shared trauma of being the prodigy of their generation and failing miserably at that (or feeling as though)? jUICY. Give me geniuses turned into disappointments or give me DEATH.

Kaori Misaki is mute.

At least, that's how it seems – in reality, she simply doesn't talk much. Kaori has always preferred her own company ever since she was young, opting to read in solitude when other children wanted to play. People her age would often call her weird, but their short attention spans never allowed them to dwell on her too much. Secretly, with childlike annoyance, she's glad they stop interrupting her.

She enrolls in the ninja academy at age six and takes to school life like a fish to water. There she is fed knowledge and absorbs information like a sponge, soon swapping fiction for facts. She's a natural with theory work and it doesn't take long before her teacher Iruka Umino begins to notice. Acting on a hunch, he one day takes her aside and offers her a special homework assignment, if she's up for a challenge. When she nods vigorously, Iruka lends her a scroll with basic ninjutsu teachings and asks if she'll be able to identify how the technique is cast, a smile twitching onto his face at the obvious excitement bubbling out of her. A fortnight later she proudly shows him her notes. Minor errors aside, she's managed to grasp the concept of how chakra, physical energy and hand seals work with each other. Iruka is beyond impressed.

In all, the girl is an ideal student – courteous, ambitious and determined. So naturally, when parents evening rolls around towards the end of the year, Iruka beams at the parent Misakis. He welcomes to couple warmly before summarising Kaori's progress, pleased to hear the family intend on keeping her in the program. The civilian duo seem to glow, thanking him for his hard work, and that's when he asks if they have any questions.

Staff had dismissed Kaori as introverted, maybe even shy. However, it's that evening that Iruka discovers the truth of why the girl spoke so little and so clippedly:

"How is her speech impediment?"

Temporarily stunned, Iruka wonders why this is the first time he's heard about it.

Hara Inuzuka is deaf.

Partially, at least. At his birth, Hara's parents are very concerned by his lacklustre responses to the world. The medic nin assures them he appears healthy but still takes him away for testing. Despite her exhaustion, Mimi Inuzuka waits restlessly with her mate Yubi, anxious for diagnostic results. The nurse later returns, gently reassuring them that Hara is fine outside of some hearing difficulties. Mimi relaxes a little knowing her pup isn't seriously harmed, but Yubi still feels uneasy. He inquires the severity of Hara's condition and the midwife offers a sympathetic smile as she lowers the baby into the arms of his mother.

As soon as he's able, Hara begins wearing hearing aids as part of his usual attire.

He grows to be an energetic child, however, largely unaffected by his minor disability. He starts the academy at the normal age and goes on to join the same class as his relative Kiba, and when the boys turn of age, Akamaru and Aomaru join the family. Hara quickly establishes a bond with the dog that will be his partner in the coming years and –albeit with mistakes– gradually learns to become responsible enough to take care of his companion independently. In time, teamwork in taijutsu comes easily to them.

Content, his parents watch from a distance as the pair practise their moves, knowing the extra trouble they'd went through with the Inuzuka council was worth it. Although the boy won't become aware of it until he is at least in double figures, Aomaru was purposefully selected for Hara due to the puppy's advanced hearing (even by ninken standards). Yubi and Mimi hope the dog will make up for Hara's shortcomings, potentially enough for him to continue the clan tradition of ninjadom. He certainly has the potential.

For now, though, he seems happy to tumble around in dirt with Aomaru. Hara's parents have to laugh at that before becoming stern and telling him to get back to training. Hara grins.

Shinji Okazaki is blind.

Or rather, that's what people tell him – and it'd be a mostly harmless joke if not for his thick glasses. The jabs aren't intentional but off-handed comments still eat at his self-esteem; he could merely be asking what a sign reads and someone will scoff, "What are you, blind?".

He eventually decides that it's better to struggle alone than be mocked for trying to understand.

Apparently he inherited his poor sight from his mother. His father rarely mentions her, but Shinji knows she's a kunoichi. Atsuo wants him to become a ninja like her and whilst the blond doesn't understand exactly why –something to do with Ryo?– he's excited nonetheless. He's always been weak, prone to bruises and bumps, but he's great at predicting and is endowed with decently fast reflexes. He's sure he'll be a great shinobi.

Needless say his confidence is dashed once he realises fighting is part of the curriculum. He expects clan kids to outclass him in spars, but when civilian-reared children win with sheer scrappiness, he starts getting offended.

He becomes a pro at dodging within days. Insults roll in not long after, from indignant opponents of all backgrounds, but by then he's heard them all.

There's something rewarding about outmaneuvering foes who'd otherwise beat him to a pulp. From there it's a matter of milking opportunities for all their worth, like employing taunts that cause partners to blindly rush in and promptly trip over Shinji's outstretched foot. His father looks satisfied when he stops coming home with a swollen face. The rush of power he feels is addicting.

Shinji's fit to be a long-range attacker but he certainly won't object to winning melee. And if his strategies earn him a lousy reputation, well, that's not his problem.

NARA NEKA’S BIOGRAPHY.

NAME: Neka. Although her name comes from kanji 根 (ne), which means “root”, and ending 花 (ka), meaning “flower”, her name is written in katakana: ネカSURNAME: Nara. ALIASES: “Kage no Ko”, the girl of shadow. When she becomes a jounin, her alias changes accordingly to “Kage no Shoujo”. CLAN: Nara. She belongs to the honourable Ne family, which is part of Nara Council. AGE: 20, post Fourth Great Shinobi World War (3 years older than Konoha 11, in general). RANK: Tokubetsu Jonin, promoted at 17. OCCUPATION: Member of Nara Guards Corps, together with Nara Daichi and Nara Daen. FACECLAIM: Naomi Misora from Death Note.

PHYSICAL ASPECT: Neka has a rather slender, lean frame, at a first look she could seem quite frail and easy to break. She has long, straight black hair and blind, slanting, almond-shaped eyes (colour is faded blue-gray). Neka can actually see only shadows of whom and what stand in her nearest surroundings. As a result, she has sharpened her hearing sense to an enormous extent. Her nails are chewed and broken with bleeding hangnails, but except for it she holds a decent overall appearance. In spite of her small body, Neka is quite strong, especially whether she is able to focus her chakra in her fists.

PERSONALITY: Neka is a tranquil young woman who only speaks when spoken to, mostly because she doesn’t care for expressing her thoughts to other people. With a bright intelligence and a perception talent, she is reserved and introvert like many in her clan, with solitary tendencies linked to her physical disability. She doesn’t like to be bothered for minor things and people with too sunny of a disposition are said ‘to give her headache’. This being said, Neka is extremely loyal to her family and to the people who prove to be considerate of her situation without tripping into useless and undesired commiseration for her. This was what drew her to become a Nara Guard in first place. Her humor is dry and her sarcasm on point, yet if one manages to see this side of her should not be troubled, for those are qualities she only shows to whom she feels emotionally attached to. She has a strong sense of duty and responsibility, which makes her a naturally gifted leader despite her sight disvantage. Nonetheless, it’s not difficult for her to make a step back when someone else holds the leadership of a certain group, rather she is a good follower as well.

BACKGROUND: Born with congenital glaucoma, her sight worsened in a short period of her early childhood and allowed her to only see flashes of lights obscured by shadows. Her father, Neichi, and her mother, Akemi, were worried about the kid’s possibility to become a ninja, but her grandmother Nemi told both to harbor hope in their hearts, since shadows have always been companions of a Nara’s life. Indeed, Neka’s bond with shadows proved fundamental during her growth: she was not trained as an average ninja and this helped her flourishing into a completely revolutionary kind of fighter. Neka’s incredible connection with shadows was hastily rumored all through the clan and when she turned fifteen she got called by Nara Shikaku, the clan head himself, to be a member of his family’s escort. Neka refused at first, only because she didn’t feel up to the situation and in her opinion she still had a long way to go before being able to live up to his expectation. Shikaku demonstrated to be comprehensive of the girl’s doubts and gave her some other time to better train herself. Being enlisted for a short period in ANBU as a chuunin, she dropped out of the Black Ops when Third Hokage decided to promote her to Tokubetsu Jonin rank together with few of her colleagues. Especially, her appointment was justified because of her valuable role as team coordinator. After her advancement in rank she asked Shikaku if the Guards assignment he had proposed her was still available. At the age of nineteen, she officially became a Nara Guard, yet she (as well as her colleagues) did not quit regular tasks as a kunoichi. In occasion to the outburst of Fourth Great Shinobi World War she was deployed in Mifune’s Fifth Division, together with Yamanaka Ino, Aburame Shino, Inuzuka Kiba and Hana. Back to Konoha, she joined back the Guards Corps as the protector of freshly-designed leader Nara Yoshino.

JUTSUS & ABILITIES: Neka’s abilities all revolves around her deep connection with shadows. Neka is in fact able to communicate with all the shadows in her surroundings, even those who do not belong to her, to state enemies and allies’ positions on the battlefield (for a range of 50 meters). By touching someone’s body and consequently instilling her chakra inside them, Neka is able to control their shadows as her own (her level of control is subdued to the amount of chakra she gives out, so she must hold it in check and weight up every move she makes). Neka is also able to materialize her shadow to create arranged weapons, shields or extension of her limbs. TRIVIA: Neka’s favourite phrase is “roots do not need eyes to be efficient”. Neka’s favourite dish is ebi tempura. Her least favourite dish is maguro sashimi. Neka’s sexuality is on gray spectrum. More specifically, she is a gray-A and only experiences sexual attraction on rare occasions. As long as her romantic interests are regarded, she is convinced she is aromantic, but actually it’s just very hard for her to fall in love. Neka, like Nara Morimaru, was originally conceived as an antagonist to Yoshino’s regime.
