Caleb being the first one to meet Beau and Yasha's new baby, just a few days after they bring them home from the orphanage.

He doesn't mean to be the first, he just wants to check on them, figures they're busy and wants to check on Yasha's garden to make sure it still looks alright.

Beau sees him outside, calls him a creep, invites him in. He tries to refuse, but Yasha steps behind her, baby on her hip and all but insists, so he caves.

And he meets this tiny little thing, who smiles at him and without asking, Yasha passes him the baby.

And Beau calls him Uncle Caleb.

And Caleb just melts.

Doing a re-watch/re-listen of Campaign 2, and why the fuck did they all obsess over Caleb’s cleanliness, when Nott wouldn’t even dip more than a toe into water? She even said (e32) when they suggested she wouldn’t smell good if she wore all her coverings and the hand gloves on The Menagerie Coast, and she said, “I don’t smell good to begin with.”

I know the majority of it was to tease Liam, because he regularly had Caleb get irritated and defensive in response, but still.

One of the million bit of lore I'll eventually need to explain is that magic users are divided by the energy source they draw upon...

Different energies are better at different things, but with time and effort they can be put to any task. For example someone born with an affinity for fire magic could throw a fireball better than any of our trio, but that doesn't mean the boys couldn't do it too.

There are also some passive effects holding the energies within you; like a proto-spell it's something a magic user does automatically and unconsciously to digest the energy they naturally draw in but aren't doing anything with.

The effects are the kind of thing you'd expect; to use the example of the fire mage again, they'd not really notice hot or cold weather. Norman can see the dead, Dipper has near perfect recall, and Danny has heightened empathy.

I like the idea that death eaters are mostly purebloods who’s families are facing misfortune or have lost most of their generational wealth one way or another

Cause like it adds to the motive to want to fight, it means that the few wealthy ones (aka Malfoys, Blacks, and Lestranges) are instantly higher up for their resources rather than them all being wealthy

It also would explain why the Black brothers’ parents didn’t have interest in being death eaters cause they would see it as below them
