Jack-o'-lantern mushroom!!! (Omphalotus olearius) they glow in the dark!!!! To the untrained eye, they may look like a delicious Chanterelle mushroom. But don't snack on this guy, it'll make you sick. An easy way to tell them apart is that Jack-o'-lantern mushrooms have true gills, while Chanterelles have false gills that look more like ridges. Also, Chanterelles always grow on the ground while Jack-o'-lantern mushrooms grow on decaying wood, which may be buried.

we learn sm about the code detector and its evolution, we see the whole handbook which is sooo weird and infantilizing.

we maybe learn what the files do when MDR finishes them?? or at least what they maybe can do. in this letter the file is called Lexington, which like Cold Harbor is the name of an important historical battle. i wonder what the significance of that is.

it also gets into what counts as a skill that the innies can access, which answered some questions i had.

andddd it gave me more questions, especially about how the files work (some are harder than others, and those files garner the attention of bosses and bosses bosses upon completion) AND THE EDITORS LAST NAME????

anyway. definitely read if you’re interested in the world of severance it’s well done and fills in some gaps

Now I pretty much missed the whole thing, but to be clear Barracks Bunny is a derogatory term which is why it's hot in the context of dark content? It's also very hot to imagine the likes of Soap actively claiming the term because he loves that it's a degrading way to call him a slut? Like you are interacting with darkfic, what's not clicking?

Anyway, Gaz gets Soap for secret santa and gets him a playboy bunny outfit as a gag gift only to be gagged when he swans in wearing it with no shame what so ever. This man has been slutting about and not one of his team has called him on it or teased him or said something horribly mean, what's a man gotta do to get some degradation around here? He's trying his fucking best to get one of them to say something mean and they're all just letting him live his life and being supporting? Christ he hopes the discomfort of the thong trying to bisect him and the time he took to make one of the bunny ears flop over just so isn't a waste and they actually take the damn bait for once.

the biggest plot twist in saltburn was actually when oliver was lying on the grave and he started taking off his shirt and i was like "oh god he's going to take off his pants isn't he" and then he only took off his shirt and i was like "oh phew" and then as soon as i relaxed he actually took off his pants. true emotional roller coaster right there.

ch2 javi gives boaz a chili pepper leaf once as a treat (because javier himself loves chili peppers) and the capsaicin gives him a tummy ache but javi doesn’t know that capsaicin is bad for horses so he has no idea what the problem is and is freaking out a bit so he very incredibly begrudgingly drags himself to kieran, whom he knows probably will have an answer, and kieran is like “he just has a tummy ache, he’s okay :)” and javi is so unbelievably embarrassed but kieran was so nice to him that he’s also a little … charmed ?

People always say bruce kidnapped jason immediately after meeting him but at least he only took him in after leaving him at the crime orphanage didn’t work out. With cass they had exactly one conversation consisting of them drawing in the dirt and throwing punches at each other while bruce projected his past experiences onto her and then he was welcoming her in like “i have complete confidence that she won’t kill anybody”
