Bakugou is such a messy bitch for drama, like you could be chilling in your room and he’s busting open the door with the wildest look on his face before stomping over and throwing himself full force on the bed.
He takes 10000% pleasure when you nearly start screaming after you find out a particular class president has a condom in his wallet.

Okay now show me the cutscene where qimir pulls out a comb, a mirror & little rubberbands from his bag before carefully parting his hair down the middle, making sure to leave the money pieces out, and then slicking the rest back before putting two lil pigtails in & putting his helmet on

Currently, I’d say my biggest criticism of the Fallout show (that I hope theyll address in season 2) is the lack of focus on actual wastelanders.
You only really see things from the perspective of sheltered youngsters or the Uber-cynic ghoul. All the actual wastelanders they encounter are basically crazed killers or canon fodder.
I get that’s the point, at least for now: to show that the wasteland is harsh and our cast aren’t quite equipped to handle it. But if they want to tackle these big themes, if they want to actually explain why this world is worth saving from the vault tec baddies, or why the ghoul cowboy should value human life, I think they need to do a little more work next season on the people actually living in this world.
Show a settlement that’s gotten together. Or a family that’s nice to the cast. Or just have someone from the wastes who just waves to them and shoots the breeze. The current presentation of wastelanders makes them seem so cartoonish and inhuman, when there can be so much more nuance to how people behave in that kind of world. I just really hope they try to actually dig into that kind of humanity to wasteland life in season 2

Odypen definitely and equivalently adore each other BUT I weirdly can't see them as the type to actually say "I Love you".
They still definitely vocalize their love for each other but it's more so in "My Joy", and "Extraordinary Woman", "Strange Woman/Man", etc. And very cheesy lines (both say some cheesy shit in the Odyssey, and he definitely does in the Iliad as well. "Joy like a drowning sailor seeing land" bit???)
I could see "I adore you" but even then, that's probably during very specific moments but the actual "I love you"??? I just typed it just now for fic shit and... It weirdly just didn't feel right and I don't know why. 😅
Idk maybe it's kind of because I see them as over the top in ways, they love wordplay and riddles and I think they'd almost think "...That's not good enough >:( " about it??? I don't know???😂
#I wrote this last night. I'll do the asks I got later. don't worry! :D#I am the cheese god remember?😅#I think these two would try to “out-cheese” each other and whoever is left speechless first loses#“I would forget my own name before I would ever forget you” bullshit. CHEESY#And yes. “I sleep in our nest with you or outside on the dirt” stupidity >:D#I plan for Odysseus as a beggar to ask why she waits so long. As he's been gone a longer amount of time than the time they had together#(Simply asking as reassurance. He knows his answer. Calypso asked him. but what about Penelope?) but she gets mad at the#“Beggar” and pities him as he must be telling the truth about having a miserable life if he never got the chance to know such devotion#How what they have could never be sullied by#something as trivial as distance and years. How the years with him were the best in her life. Only made better by their son.#'My dear Joy made songs and poems about love a reality as that was simply the life we shared. Even separated our 'song' will always echo#no matter how long it's been. I'LL make sure it always does. And I know he's doing the same... That strange man used to say that#even if he died his corpse would drag itself back to us before he'd ever give up.'#...I'm not one for 'odyssey zombie au' but when I first heard it yeah. :'D Came up with this back then#“His eyes as hard as flint or horn-” Bullshit! The sad lil fuck is hiding sobs with coughs and telling her to keep away for fear of her#catching whatever “illness” he has. The nice thing about being disguised as old means sickly old man works.#...#I'm noticing that Odysseus has a lot of silly oneliners while I write Penelope with a shit ton of set up :'D#They are so silly and I love them so much#...I wrote a lot :'D#Mad rambles#shot by odysseus#my headcanons#odypen#yahoo!!!#sometimes I wonder if I should tag this with more things but I don't want to taint the regular tags with my bullshit :'D I KNOW I'm insane

owl house headcanon: on "cursing" (profanity)
there's a prominent superstition on the Boiling Isles that using foul language drives bad luck out of the speaker and into their environment (or those around them), which is why they call it "cursing".
as such, people in dense towns (like bonesborough and latissa) tend to swear like sailors, to make sure the bad luck is always someone else's problem.
higher-end individuals (like rich people and coven officials) tend to avoid cursing, as a sort of amicable veneer: "we're all friends here, let's be civil, no need to endanger the negotiations," and all that.
catch Eda alone in public and she'll spout enough obscenety to fill a dictionary, but around her kids or at home she tones it down significantly, cursing only a little bit more than the normal amount. it's no fun to give bad luck to your own kids/house demon, since you'll be the one to have to clean up after the consequences, y'know?
King had a bit of a pottymouth before Luz arrived, but cleaned up his act somewhat under her early influence. however, in the subsequent months around Eda, Luz's filter weakened significantly, and King's followed suit.
luckily for Luz: Camila doesn't know any demon/witch swears; Amity, Hunter, and Vee were too sheltered to get acquainted with them; and Willow and Gus just keep quiet about it to keep Luz out of trouble.
when one of these bad words eventually makes its way into Camila's vocabulary and out of her mouth for the first time, she gets a solid few minutes of laughter out of the Hexside trio, who adamantly refuse to tell her why what she said is so funny.

Warning- this is a very petty post, but I think I'm entitled to at least one petty, pissed-off reaction every time I finish a classic novel that hit harder than I expected so take this as my quota for the year.
Also spoiler warning for a book that came out over a century ago but still, I didn't know the plot going in so don't want to ruin it for anyone else, if you haven't read it shut your eyes. (Also Local Tumblr User Going Wild Over Book Published a Hundred Years Ago That Everybody Else Already Read should probably be categorised as akey part of indigenous tumblr culture at this point).
Anyway I just finished the War of the Worlds and in between studying I've thinking about Themes and Motifs as you do, and idly looking for further analysis. I then accidentally ran into an article called 'A Quiet Place II Succeeds Where the War of the Worlds Failed' and:
Tumblr media
Now I haven't seen any of the Quiet Place films, this is not a rant against them and of course everyone is entitled to their own opinions. But re: the ending of The War of the Worlds, I have to ask, did this guy somehow miss, uh, the entire point of the book or am I just utterly insane?
#You're right it's not very satisfying for humanity that the invaders are foiled by a bacteria and not human action! Maybe that's the point!#Maybe it's supposed to be FRIGHTENING and make you ask questions about what humans will do under extreme stress#Not be a morally uplifting tale about Humanity Heroically Defeating the Martians in a Glorious Hollywood Ending#Maybe it's MEANT to be unsatisfying because this is not a straightforward fairytale#I mean I've only read it once and don't know much about Wells' work so I might have misunderstood the point of the book too#But at places it is a very pessimistic view of the human condition and that's partly WHY IT'S SO POWERFUL#That doesn't mean there aren't moments of individual acts of heroism (the Thunderchild for example)#But the question is not just 'how will humanity beat the Martians and prove that we're still the masters of the universe'#Rather 'a) why is humanity so confident that it's ultimately in control of its own destiny#And b) here's lots of scenes of societal collapse and of people pushed to the brink and what would YOU do in those circumstances?#Would YOU feel remorse about silencing the curate even if it did lead to his death?#What if it rather than a foolish adult it had been a small child?#And even if they were weak did they DESERVE it? Yes it might have been necessary but should it be policy going forward?#Would you also be attracted briefly by the certainties that the artilleryman's (rather fascist) plan seems to offer so humanity survives?#But what sort of humanity would that be if it DID survive and is it worth it? The narrator feels he needs to justify the curate's death#The artilleryman would have probably never have thought it was anything OTHER than justifiable or indeed laudable#Under strain and stress would you start to turn against even your loved ones and become brutal?#Is that the only hope for human survival beyond complete surrender? And was the destruction of London maybe even 'cleansing'#In the eugenics sense or in the sense of a natural horror of dirt and germs?#And the vast exodus of six million people fleeing headlong in panic - we might not have seen that exact phenomenon#But didn't the twentieth century subsequently go on to show us unprecedented scale of slaughter and refugee movements and communal strife?#At the end of the day what really separates humanity from other animals? And what separates us from the Martians?#It's not an uncontroversial book- it was written over a hundred years ago for goodness sake and there are questions worth asking#about the way imperialism and arguments about eugenics and population control and all sorts of other dodgy areas operated on Wells' mind#But dear God I really don't think the problem with the book is that 'Humanity didn't save the day!'#Unsatisfying ending? Yes. A FAILURE? No not in my opinion- looks like it was exactly what Wells set out to do#Humanity didn't win the war of the worlds they had a narrow escape and though it might not be martians next time#Why wouldn't disaster return in the future? Sure we've studied their flying machines and even preserved a martian in a jar#But for all our science what have we ACTUALLY learned that will enable us to avert future human catastrophes? Ethically or socially?#Alright rant over- as usual my opinion is not universal nor necessarily well-informed this take just really got my goat

some no pressure gems 💎💎💎 if you have time 💕
Yeaaaa Siavesh time!! I love thinking about their dynamic lol.
--
Sparrow's mouth tightens and she lets out a long, slow breath. "Siavesh...his heart is in the right place, at least.
She seems unwilling to say more, but after a moment she does continue. "He is very much an Azata." She doesn't say it like a compliment. "He goes where the wind takes him and expects to land on his feet every time. It's worked for him so far. He's far more intelligent than relaxed demeanor implies, and he can read people like a book and react to them accordingly." She shifts. "It's not terribly comfortable, talking to him and realizing he's leading you to the conclusion he's already made for you, but he does it well. It seems he can make an ally out of anyone. People are drawn to his kindness, his idealism--big lofty dreams that he can afford to make, kindness he can afford to give."
Another pause. "I make it sound like I don't like him. I do. It's hard not to. But he doesn't think through what it would take to bring his ideals to life. He doesn't anticipate the consequences to his actions. He trusts on luck and Desna to get him through everything." She lets out a long breath through her nose. "Gods will always falter in their grace--if not now, then later. And luck only goes so far. He doesn't seem to understand that. Or he doesn't want to. I worry what will become of that idealism, the day that he fails."

ok my game is gonna be like the sims x tomodachi life x petz, its gonna have a really detailed character creator and you can share your creations online so anyone can download them, its gonna have sims-esque behavior editor but i need to play the sims first to get a better idea of how it works, the characters you add to your little world are just gonna run around like they do in petz, and its gonna have animal crossing type graphics, think n64 but slightly higher poly count than most games. most of it is gonna be from the characters because this may kanker model is already a solid 1100 polygons and thats pretty high for what im goin for
also they can get killed and die but they come back the next day. ill add a "plot armor" slider when youre creating a character so you can decide if they can die or not (you can also put the slider in the negative direction making them die and come back multiple times a day)
