Useless dino facts: your horned buddy was a styracosaurus, and I think rei's dino (suchomimus, a spinosaurus relative) is pronounced "sook-oh-my-mus". That one was also in the same time period & locale (middle cretaceous africa, 112-something million years ago) as your crocsona's species, while styracs were exclusively north american & existed 85-ish MYA. Horned dinos also might've been omnivores like wild pigs.
THANK YOU DINOFACTS ANON

The croc than ran on hooves - The story of Boverisuchus
Do you fear crocodiles and their various relatives? Do you feel safe from crocodile related incidents on dry land? Do you live in Germany? If you answered yes to any of these questions, then its a good thing that you weren’t alive during the Eocene!
This is Boverisuchus (formerly Pristichampus), a crocodylian that lived during the Eocene epoch (specifically the Lutetian stage, between 47.2 and 41.2 mya). Open niches following the K-Pg Extinction event left an opening for large land predators, leaving crocodylians to fill that niche when their usual niche of aquatic predator became saturated with, well, other crocs! Boverisuchus was one such example. It could reach sizes of 3 metres (11 ft), which may seem small compared to say, a saltwater crocodile, but it becomes doubly terrifying when you realise it lived on land. Various adaptations made this possible including a loss of osteoderms (bony armour), longer legs (with the rear legs longer than the front), hoof-like toes, a less finlike tail and more ziphodont teeth (compact, serrated, straight-edged). Similarities in teeth between Boverisuchus and certain theropod dinosaurs originally lead to some scientists believing that a non-avian dinosaur had survived through to the Paleogene.
These adaptations would’ve made it more than capable as a land predator, galloping and chasing after its prey - including terrestrial mammals like early horses. Some paleontologists theorise that because of its longer back legs, it may have been capable of running on two legs, because a massive land-croc isn’t scary enough. So why then did this fascinating piece of work go extinct? Climatological changes and global cooling (due to plate tectonics) negatively benefitted reptiles while benefitting mammalian predators, such as the creodonts and the ancestors of carnivorans. Our world now is safer perhaps without scary land-crocs but we may never experience the potential joy of riding a hoofed crocodylian-steed into battle.
I do not own this video, I find reptiles and paleontology fascinating, hence the post. This video was made by PBS Eons, who do some interesting stuff. This is the third in my prehistoric megareptile series, following Megalania and Titanoboa. Like what you see? Stick around for more!

First of all, I may now be a jumpsuit addict. I don't know for sure, but it seems likely. I have two now, and I really like them. Second, several people I know have this @asos_loves_curve jumpsuit. They all claim it's magical. I resisted its charms for a long time, but now that the siren call of jumpsuits is so strong for me, I had to give in. And I'm glad I did because everyone who owned it before me is right: this jumpsuit IS magical. Third, my necklace from @kimchiandcoconut is so fucking great I can't even stand it. Did you know that many triceratops fossils are found with T-Rex bite marks on them? #dinofact Finally, I was really feeling myself in this outfit today. 🥰 #myoutfits #ootd #ootdshare #ootdsocialclub #psootd #nzstylecurvettes #asoscurve #kimchiandcoconut #dinosaur #dinosaurjewellery #jumpsuitaddict #jumpsuitappreciationsociety #tealhairdontcare https://www.instagram.com/p/BuVeZSvA64L/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1i6x3kw58sjxh

Jurrasic Facts
Jurassic Fact 1: For Jurrasic Park, to glue the skin to the animatronic T-Rex, a guy had to climb inside while it was turned on. If the power turned off, the guy stood a high chance that the metal plates would mangle him, so of course, he was in there gluing and it turned off. Other employees had to force open the jaws and he crawled out of the mouth perfectly okay.
Jurrasic Fact 2: Until they filmed Jurrasic Park, scientists had no knowledge that most, if not all, dinosaurs were like birds. They had a couple that they knew evolved into birds, especially chickens.
Jurrasic Fact 3: The reason they were able to figure this out was because Steven Spielberg wanted the most realistic dinosaurs ever produced for a movie, so he funded a lab of Paleontologists. So, they loaded every bit of data they could onto their new equipment and then rendered how they would seem to walk and one of the scientists went, "Wait. I've seen this before," and pulled a video of a chicken walking. That Paleontologist is named Kevin Padain.
Jurrasic Fact 4: When filming in the rain, they would have to take breaks and dry off the giant T-Rex or it would malfunction. The malfunctions? It would move on its own. Randomly on set, you could hear people screaming bloody murder, even though they knew it couldn't actually eat them.
Jurassic Fact 5: Only 6 minutes of the movie is CGI. Even the Triceratops was a animatronic.
Jurrasic Fact 6: The velociraptors were men in 3 piece suits running around. Also, they weren't technically Velociraptors, but instead Utahraptors.

This is the newest dinosaur discovered in the tiny-dinos series; Halszkaraptor! It was a small, duck-sized relative of the mongolian dromeasaur mahakala, and mighy be the weirdest dromeasaur itself with its gracile swan-like proportions. It's the 2nd semi-aquatic non-avian dinosaur discovered after spinosaurus. It likely hunted small fish and arthropods in the oases of the Mongolian desert in the late cretaceous times. It lived at the same time and place as the famous velociraptor and protoceratops in the Djadochta Fomation For this one i tried a new technique to shape feathers, drawing them on rather than making each wing feather on its own, they really were too small and fiddly for that. . We're closing in at the end of the first round of the tiny-dinos! I'm looking for suitable materials to mould and cast. It's taking me some time due to translation stuff and finding similar stuff to what you can get elsewhere in the West😅 #artiststruggles #halszkaraptor #paleoart #paleoartist #dinoart #artistsofinstagram #dinofacts #sculpture #art #sculptor #sculptors #sculptors #theropod #dromeasaur #velociraptor #jurassicpark #jurassicworld #supersculpey #supersculpeyfirm #paleoartista #theropoddinosaur #dinosaur #dinosaurs #dinosaursofinstagram #toy #toymaker #toymakers #animaltoy https://www.instagram.com/p/BseRk13l1A7/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=jgrrskcg4ei9

5 Random Dinosaur Facts
1. The word “dinosaur” was coined by British paleontologist Richard Owen in 1842. It is Greek, meaning “terrible lizard.”
2. The Stegosaurus has the smallest brain for its body size of any known dinosaur.
3. Tyrannosaurus Rex ate up to 22 tons of meat a year.
4. The largest mounted dinosaur skeleton to be exhibited in a museum is a Brachiosaurus.
5. All dinosaurs laid eggs. About 40 kinds of dinosaur eggs have been discovered.

pterobat replied to your photo
“runningwithhelicopters: Regina wasn’t the biggest fan of finding out...”
It's from one of the Dino Crisis games, which from the sounds of it are basically RE meets Jurassic Park.
Okay. Ohhhh-kay. Sure. You know how I said I want to live in the world of the pterodactyl tag? This is still VERY TRUE. But there seems to be a seedy underbelly of the pterodactyl tag, where the plot of the Resident Evil franchise (”A special military unit fights a powerful, out-of-control supercomputer and hundreds of scientists who have mutated into flesh-eating creatures after a laboratory accident.”) combines with the plot of Jurassic Park (”During a preview tour, a theme park suffers a major power breakdown that allows its cloned dinosaur exhibits to run amok.”).
This is not the hopeful and wingèd future the pterodactyl tag promised.
But did the great poet Khalil Gibran not say, could you keep your heart in wonder at the daily miracles of your life, your pain would not seem less wondrous than your joy”? Bring it on then, pterodactyl tag, bring on the full complexity of life, zombie dino scientists and all!

"1800s bitch-boys" is a good way to describe them haha- but she's cool :o speaking of dolphins, they're assholes, and so are orcas. like... theyre just assholes to be assholes. dolphins will harass each other for no good reason, and attack porpoises. orcas... are orcas. they can and will attack sharks and seals for fun, and have been seen throwing seals 30 feet into the air >:( BUT! humpbacks have been seen protecting seals from orcas (holding them on their chest) and (part 1)
Oh I've heard about the terror of the seas that are orcas and dolphins. I've seen people literally compare them to being the 'humans of the sea' and for some reason that's hilarious and by what I've heard also not wRONG asdJASHFAJSD But also :0000 humpbacks!! nawwwwwww! Dinofact will be put with part two :>

Anchiornis have been found only in the Tiaojishan Formation of Liaoning, China, in fossils dated to the late Jurassic. Hundreds of specimens, some extraordinarily preserved, have been found, allowing for Anichiornis to become the first Mesozoic dinosaur for which its living appearance could be almost entirely determined.

If u want to flirt with my extremely aro ass u better bring me some more advanced paleo facts pal
EDIT: i was distracted and completely missed that pterodactyl is not a thing that exists! There is a genus Pterodactylus, but the general term for All Those winged boyes is Pterosaur! If I’m going to do DinoFacts(tm) i need to catch these things sorry

i thought of another way i might be socially impaired
wwhen im at work i usually dont really know what to say to the coworkers i dont work with as often so i just dont talk. like i just work silently unless i have a work question
ive been asked if im okay a few times because of it and i think a lot about like "if they ask me why im not talking ill just say its because i have nothing to say" and i just repeat that in my head
so im guessing thats part of it
that or i just dont vibe super well with a bunch of my coworkers so it makes it difficult to talk to them
i cant tell if i have issues with social cues
on one hand im thinking that if i had adhd (i do) then i definitely have these issues
but on the other hand i cant think of super apparent things that mean i do
like i think my biggest thing is that sometimes i cant tell if everyone else is having fun too??? and then i get all rsd about it and blame myself
i think overall my issues are rsd based, like when i talk abt something i like and then in my brain im like "theyre not interested" and i sorta trail off or ill literally tell myself "no one cares shut up" or like i mentioned with reading situations where i blame myself if i think somethings going bad
