I hope this is what you meant AHSBHA I tbh just used this to draw my faves from beast wars (Except for Terrorsaur because I wanted to pick the ones probably least likely to murder the Terrans on sight). Also idk if adding Tarantulas was cheating because they already met him, but he IS my fave character in both Earthspark and BW. Grimlock is also one of my faves but I decided having 1 character already in Earthspark (other than the Terrans) was enough.

Cheetor is probably just happy that this Tarantulas isn’t torturing him this time around. Dinobot is in the back questioning why they aren’t doing combat training ??? Decided to add Slash (TF:RBA) too because I thought having some more small dinos would be fun. And Waspinator has been blown up (as always) by the smart trainer.

I’m not shading allat sorry chat BUT I enjoyed drawing my faves HEHEHE (BW is peak and everybody should watch it.)

DINOVEMBER!

Who doesn't love dinos? Liars and mountebanks, that's who. So it's a whole set of dino-formers for this month's @tfwiki Patreon-backed pic set! Let's kick things off with the goodest of dinobois, the lovable JAWBREAKER, in his Deluxe EarthSpark form.

Speaking of adorable, how about TRYPTICON in "MyClone" form? This line of soft-plastic modular super-deformed mini-figs from 2002 Takara included not just TFs, but various other Takara lines, Tsuburaya characters (like Ultraman) and adorable animals.

We're keeping the cute train rolling with a fave of mine, ROARISTA from BotBots. Yes, this is a coffee machine and carafe that turns into a t-rex-bot with a power cord tail. How can you not love it. Wish she'd been in the cartoon.

Okay you knew this was coming. It's Legacy DINOKING, finally fulfilling the role the Legacy Core Dinobot molds were blatantly meant to be all along. You can get a much more natural axe-handling pose by putting the scythe fully trough the fist.

The two standouts of Dinoforce, team leader GORYU and team schmuck KAKURYU. This set come with a ton of all new parts; not just new heads but extra accessories for more anime flavor. Kakuryu got his axe, but no shrimpy revolver, dang.

RIARYU lacks his anime melee weapon, but gains a pair of massive missile pods that emulate the original's, and form footplates for Dinoking. GAIRYU has a whole new larger dino-tail/cannon that makes for a bulkier Dinoking forearm.

DORYU gets a scythe... which he didn't in the anime. That went to YOKURYU, but his new part is a huge "cannon"/blatant chunk of Dinoking forearm. You can swap them around if you like, I can't stop you. I'm not your dad (as far as you know).

"Whycomes no classic Dinobot characters?" you ask. Okay, here's GRIMLOCK... the 2015 Robots in Disguise Grimlock, in Kre-O Kreon form. This "Armor Up" set was a Dollar General exclusive(!), and was supposed to come in three decos... but wave 2 of this series never happened.

No, he's not a dino-bot, but he did accidentally merge with Jawbreaker that one time, and I like this toy a lot so here's EarthSpark Deluxe AFTERMATH as a bonus as I was feelin' punchy. Man I love this design.

So I'm planning out another benrius fic that includes their daughter and I was wondering if you could give some facts about their adorable little girl.

Like her fave color, fave parent, how does she call her parents, does she like dinos, sharks, who does she take after more,fave food, show , animal, etc

I never thought about it till now, Darius could go by daddy D and Ben could go by papa/daddy B or mom for giggles. If there’s no papa or dad with D/B at the end she also calls them by tone of voice.

Dose she like dinosaurs? Surprisingly no, they kinda traumatized her at a young age. Her first interaction with a dinosaur was a compy just like her dad but her experience was much less enjoyable because it bit her. From then on Ben tried to help by slowly introducing her to more dinosaurs but those interactions always went downhill making her fear them more, Yaz stepped in and helped with that fear.

Even though she favorites Darius follows Darius around more she takes after Ben especially his jungle boy side, Darius always jokingly blames him for the crazy things she’s done.

Favorite food, empanadas!!!! And spicy foods, favorite show…Bluey, favorite animal probably bees, she likes bees.

Some other things about her. She’s a late talker, It took her till she was three and a half to start talking and even then it wasn’t much. She has an extremely good pain tolerance, probably being one of the reasons she’s really injury reckless. She doesn’t smile for some reason? Only when she’s around her dad’s

Ofc she was adopted and was abandoned by her mom behind a gas station where Darius and Ben found her while they were driving home from a date night. They took her home, Darius wanted to do the “right thing” and take her to children’s care or something. Ben wanted to keep her saying they could “handle her and that they can take the responsibility” After some guilt tripping Darius gave in and LEGALLY adopted her. Pft and there mom’s reactions were something…

And that’s Dahlia BOWMAN!!!! Her last name being bowman is so precious to me <3

Any cool trivia or facts on my fave dino Allosaurus? I just love learning about dinosaurs period tbh. XD

Allosaurus is an extremely cool dinosaur! It in fact used to be the big predatory dinosaur everyone knew, for a brief period! And then Tyrannosaurus was found and it got overshadowed :(

The coolest thing about Allosaurus is that its jaw was ridiculously flexible. It could extend it much farther than we can - ie, spread its jaws wider. In fact, it was able to do so enough that the teeth in its mouth were all aligned, to make a sort of serrated axe out of its mouth. Its neck was then muscled in just the right way to allow it to hack at its prey - much like you would hack at something with an axe - until it bled to death.

That's not just terrifying, that's nightmare fodder!

In fact, in pretty much every way, Allosaurus was a well designed predator, built to hunt animals quickly and attack them viciously. While its true it would be outdone in size and power later, in the latest Jurassic, it was the most powerful land predator to have ever evolved. Which is good, because it lived in the Morrison, and most of its food options were huge sauropods, much bigger than itself.

Loongs speculative biology is breaking me a little bit

im adding Loongs (Chinese dragons) to Arredus right, cuz they look cool, are cool, and i refuse to be euro-centric in my fantasy worlds

problem, the way i want to go about it is ruining my life (hyperbole), see part of Arredus is to have implied speculative evolution to back up the speculative biology, and Loongs are making that really hard

lets examine this depiction, scales are seen along side whiskers on the snout, spikes along the back, (presumed) feather coverage on the tale and face, and ears

this creates some issues, see the scales assert that this is a reptile of some kind, the (presumed) feathers make it likely that this is a dinosaur, but thats a guarantee, maybe lizards on Arredus have feathers, maybe its in the class of true dragons, or maybe those arnt feathers at all, and are instead real weird scales, tho considering all the more detailed art ive seen depicts it as fluffy-

-like this, <sidenote, there is so much ai slop of eastern mysticism out there> and while i acknowledge this is a modern piece of art, it appears to be representative of wat ppl think Loongs look like

one more thing b4 i begin speculating is that this project has no respect for modern preconceptions of the fantasy u know and love, only science and even thats a vague impression, so if that means making pegasus a dragon that convergently evolved to look like equines with wings, so be it

with that said lets get into my ideas for how to get this thing to exist at all, firstly lets talk environmental pressures, Loongs are suppose to be water gods of some sort and closely tied to alligators, turtles, and fish, so it is semi-aquatic, and being from china in our world, its likely accustomed more specifically to lush jungle environments

next lets talk niche, every animal in an ecosystem has a niche, wats this guys, well clearly its an apex predator, i dont think this needs much elaboration

next is its behaviors, and again i think its fairly intuitive to say Loongs are ambush predators, like cats and alligators, also most likely making it a solitary animal

finally for the hard part ive been procrastinating on all post, wat friggin animal is this at all, the first thots are obviously a reptile of some kind, if the non scaly bits are feathers, than its a dinosaur, most likely a dragon, however his native land is in Lushia, a continent with very little reptiles at all

another option is to make the Loong a mammal of some kind, maybe a monotreme, which would make it fairly distinct and also give me more freedom to be creative, or a feline, very similar in lifestyle of a jaguar (reminder that these nightmare animals are not only good but happy swimmers)

the issue i run into repeatedly is that no answer makes me happy, while a feline is my fave of the choices, it raises more questions for me, why is its snout so long, is the "scales" just fur pattern? or did this feline specifically evolve armadillo fur, if so why, if its a monotreme, wat does that mean at all, its a neat idea and allows it to lay eggs still but is that all that important? do all monotremes have beaks? does the Loong? is it bioluminescent like platypuses? if its a reptile, why is it one of the few on this continent? it didnt fly over like the dragons did, unless this is a dragon who lost its wings, if so why? why not evolve fin like wings to help swim like sea serpents? if its not a dragon, wat reptile is it? it has to be a dinosaur of some kind thats where feathers are from, but its clearly not any other dino other than a dragon, which circles us bacc around, and wat about them ears, are they false ears like the horns on a horned owl? if so why did it evolve that other than to look cool? does it even look that cool?

in short the Loong is making me tear loong strainds of hair out of my head, so here poll, decide ur thots and please tell me more in the replys/notes/watever else you wanna use to communicate with me

While it's a bit of a mishmash, I do like to arrange animals into related or themed groups.

Been watching prehistoric planet with my bf and the first season is still so good but so far season 2 is really mid :[

Dont get me wrong i think its beautifully done, its not bad its just really really repetitive. Three episodes in and weve only seen one truly new animal (the crocs in the beginning). Everything else is just "a relative of the t-rex"/"the t-rex of [episode location]" and "a relative of velociraptor" and also so many pterodactyls of the same type and shape. And hadrosaurs of the same shape too with only minor pattern variants, when there were so many different hadrosaurs, many of them beautifully crested.

It doesnt stand out as much in the first season because its very short and it shows each major group once at least, but in the second season you can really see the lack of variety. The again we're only three episodes in, the latter two eps could blow my dick clean off with variety for all i know.

I would have also hope that there's episodes or seasons that happen any other time than the late cretaceous as well where there were weirder things, but thats also probably bc the fave dinos are in this period and also probably because it would be so much harder to do the background shots. My bf pointed that out to me, since everything is filmed from real life the world in the earlier periods looked different enough that itd look strange to film that for any time period that wasnt the cretaceous

I know these are the things people WANT to see, and their budget for making different cgi models is not unlimited so they pull from other models and rigs to ease workload, but man... it's really unfortunate.

Carnotarus-Favourite Dinosaur Encounter and Why?

Ou this one is difficult, I'd say probably the third(?) Encounter with Toro (the one where they like,,, blow him up LMAO) because it's just SO Camp Cretaceous to me, like I think of CC and think of Toro. Honestly any Toro encounter could very much count as my favourite, all his encounters were so well done.

Sinoceratops-Favourite side character?

Does Ben's mom count when I've basically turned her into an OC after one five second appearance? LMAO, but in all seriousness, I think my actual fave side chara would've been Mo, I know they're only there for one ep but their interactions with Darius and Ben were so goddamn funny, plus !!! Nonbinary rep !!! And it wasn't your basic skinny white fem nb that tv writers seem to think is the only type of nonbinary person there is (not that they arent valid irl, but we need diversity man)

Brachiosaurus-Of all the dinosaurs that have appeared in the series which species/specific dinosaur is your favorite?

Basic answer, Bumpy, she's my beloved, I adore her, she has single handedly made Ankys one of my fave dinos, like thats my babygirl. Slightly less basic answer, but only slightly, Big and Little Eatie, I adore them, their interactions were so cute and the way Big Eatie kind of adopted ??? Darius was so good, I love how they showed that even the carnivores are just animals trying to survive and have souls.

This time, I want to talk about a favorite YT animator/short film maker:

It feels odd to talk about just one individual's work, but perhaps the nature of being just a solo creator makes what he does even more inspiring to myself.

I've been following his work for years, and love the variety of stories he makes about dinosaurs, monsters, people, and a mix of the three. There is a clear appreciation for nature, and a wonder for the strange, odd, or unexplained in his short films.

The very first video of his I watched was "Sharp Teeth", which immediately made an impact on me. (and also indirectly introduced me to my favorite dino game bc the original upload had accidentally taken audio from it and got fixed with a reupload. fun fact.) It's my go-to to recommend.

If you are a dino-lover, he has a wonderful miniseries focusing on dinos. He also has a sci-fi dystopian series, and several horror or dark fantasy or action films. And most recently, a fantasy series with lizard people.

The 'making of' videos he includes add so much to each short film. This guy creates his own 3D models, paints backgrounds, and does voices/soundwork for his animations. It's impressive, and yet what gets me is just the love and intentionality he has for his craft. He will make sculptures for his designs, research inspirations from real life and other works, and journal his making-of process for his projects. And it all amounts to something so entirely unique. Even when individual ideas don't hit for me, they have so much soul in them. He is truly dedicated to his own ingenuity, and I find myself wanting to be just like that.

Tysm! Favorite color varies- I’m a big fan of Jewel tones- so like ruby red, sapphire blue, emerald green. Emerald green is my fave color to wear, but I don’t think I can choose a fave color- I just love bright in your face colors vs pastels or neutrals.

Favorite dinosaur- I don’t really have one (again, sorry). I don’t really care about prehistoric animals (except like cute contemporary ones), if we talk about prehistoric hominids I’m all in but Dino’s were just never my thing. Homo Florienses is my fave Weird hominid btw.

ANY DEAD CELEB??? Maybe Mr. Rogers- he’d be a good source of gratitude and hope rn. Or Van Gough- like so many artists I’d really just love to tell him how impactful his art is tho he was never appreciated in his life time.

I want to go to the British Museum- I want to see ancient art and ancient history! And I know the ethics of their collection is iffy (tho, what contemporary western archeologists do offset this is amazing) but all the shits there and I want to see it!

Oh also, the Moma. I’ve never been- I just go to the Met every time I’m in NYC but I do want to go to the Moma eventually.

Hello I’m Dino! I wanted to make an introduction post for my tumblr since I decided I wanted to start posting to motivate myself and others! I thought it would be nice to list my personal goals, interests, etc. :)

also pls ignore any grammar issues I don’t feel like putting this through Grammarly :,)

Goals

Work towards a 4.5 gpa: I have currently maintained a 4.2 gpa for this school year I wish it was 4.5, but I have 2 b’s :( So I’m going to work towards a 4.5 for this last quarter and senior year!

Become a better speaker: My ultimate career is to be a lawyer! With that comes working to be a better speaker. I get quite nervous when it comes to taking to a large group of people and start to talk fast. On top of this at my mock trial meet I messed up my direct horribly because of how nervous I was to talk in front of the judge and jury :,)

Get best lawyer during Mock Trial Comp: I won best attorney this year, but I don’t think I deserved it…I want to be more confident in my win this time around!

4 or 5 on AP Exams: I want to get a 4 or 5 on both my AP Lang and APUSH Exams in May! I need to study and practice hard though, but I’m willing to put the hard work in ᕦ(ò_óˇ)ᕤ

Practice flute more often: I play the flute for my schools band and while I have only been playing for 7 months now I have to keep up with people who have been playing for 5+ years :,) With that I want to practice more to keep up and for my personal interest of just becoming more skilled with the flute!

Turing in homework on time: I have made a bad habit of turning my homework in late which is so bad oml I need to get out of it

Exercise: I want to start working out regularly to lose some weight :) While I’m at a healthy weight I just want to lose a few pounds for aesthetic purposes, but in a healthy manner!

Love myself more: I forget to remind myself that I have gotten so far and I have evolved over the years. I want to make sure that I know that I’m worthy of love even when I’m at my lowest.

Interests

Music: I’m a big fan of all genres (even some country songs too) but I’m a big listener of k-pop! But here is a list of my favorite groups + musicians: Red Velvet, Melanie Martinez, Laufey, Idelwork, Frank Sinatra, NMIXX, Ive, Megan Thee Stallion, Flo Milli, Poppy, Lesserafim, Aespa, Newjeans, Infinity Song, Kiss of Life, and many more!

Media: I’m not going to list every kind of media I’m into but here is a small taste! Big fan of ARGs, Indie Horror games (puppet combo specifically), Mascot Horror games (FNAF + Poppy Playtime), Anime (although I haven’t watched anything recently, but my fave is TBHK), K-dramas and Thai-dramas, YouTube video essays (TRO, iNabber, Primik, Stephanie Soo), Cartoons (Owl House, Gravity Falls, Amphibia, MLP, stuff like that), RPG + Dating Sim games (Shooter game HATER here), Sitcoms, Snoopy/Peanuts, Miraculous Ladybug (biggest MariChat lvr) Twisted Wonderland (Azul my love) and a BUNCH more things I’m into, but I’m not going to list them all like I said :,)

Hobbies: Doing my nails, playing my flute, writing fanfics (don’t judge I BEGGG), reading (pls recommend books for me to read, I love the classics too), deco (for my photo cards and notebooks lol), and makeup!

its a toss up between dragons and the Loch Ness Monster. I mean look at dinosaurs!!! Also crocodiles and sharks have existed pretty much since Dino times so I can see dragons and thee Loch Ness Monster being a thing.

This is like asking which child is my favourite. Which would be more difficult if I had more than one child, I admit. But the sentiment still stands!!! I love really crispy fatty roasties. So fucking good, with a bit of garlic and olive oil and salt 👌

i love the jellyfish and the penguins!!! Also the aquarium in Sydney has a dugong you can feed lettuce. He's cool.

I do if I've been to work to reduce germs, but usually no unless it's something super uncomfortable. And in summer I just strip, it's too hot!
