ohh there are so many of these i wanna ask.... carnotaurus, sinoceratops, and brachiosaurus for the game?
Carnotarus-Favourite Dinosaur Encounter and Why?
Ou this one is difficult, I'd say probably the third(?) Encounter with Toro (the one where they like,,, blow him up LMAO) because it's just SO Camp Cretaceous to me, like I think of CC and think of Toro. Honestly any Toro encounter could very much count as my favourite, all his encounters were so well done.
Sinoceratops-Favourite side character?
Does Ben's mom count when I've basically turned her into an OC after one five second appearance? LMAO, but in all seriousness, I think my actual fave side chara would've been Mo, I know they're only there for one ep but their interactions with Darius and Ben were so goddamn funny, plus !!! Nonbinary rep !!! And it wasn't your basic skinny white fem nb that tv writers seem to think is the only type of nonbinary person there is (not that they arent valid irl, but we need diversity man)
Brachiosaurus-Of all the dinosaurs that have appeared in the series which species/specific dinosaur is your favorite?
Basic answer, Bumpy, she's my beloved, I adore her, she has single handedly made Ankys one of my fave dinos, like thats my babygirl. Slightly less basic answer, but only slightly, Big and Little Eatie, I adore them, their interactions were so cute and the way Big Eatie kind of adopted ??? Darius was so good, I love how they showed that even the carnivores are just animals trying to survive and have souls.

꒰ PULCHRITUDINOUS ! ꒱ -- yang jungwon - ˚ ༘ ⋆。˚
(dividers from here and here!)
✿ wc; 0.9k
✿ pairing; devil ! jungwon x fem ! angel ! reader
✿ genre; smut. absolute FILTH minors do not interact
✿ contains; supernatural themes (devil won angel reader), won is v teasing but soft dom, reader is extremely subby, pet names (angel, darling, kitten, ect.), sir kink, dumbification, degradation, dacryphilia, A LOT of corruption kink (reader is vv innocent) praise, squirting, creampie, slight breeding kink.
"that's it angel. you always do so well for me." jungwon's delicate, sadistic voice made your ears ring as you looked up at him. a sweet hiss pushing through his fangs as his length pushed painfully into you, inch-by-inch until you were filled to the hilt.
you couldn't believe it. you were making a deal with the devil.
"w-wonnie, i-"
"sir."
you gulped, as his fingers ran through your hair, "sir." you corrected yourself, biting your bottom lip as he slowly slid himself out of you, before thrusting back in again.
"tell me, kitten."
you whined as he leaned in, teeth closing around your earlobe as he gently bit down on it, "i-i just..." you squeezed your eyes shut, tears pricking at them from the stretch when he continued to move in and out of you, as you gripped onto his shoulder, "s-someone's gonna find us..!"
"will they?" he smiled at you, "well. that's too bad for you, darling."
"h-huh?" you blinked, "for me..? what about you?"
jungwon chuckled at you.
"oh, you're adorable, angel. do i really need to spell it out for you?" he said, before whispering into your ear, "everyone already knows me. a big, mean, scary monster, with the tendency to ruin pretty little things like you." he smirked, poking the end of your nose with his fingertip as he said the last word, "but you... you're just that. a pretty little thing. you've built yourself quite the reputation, haven't you? y/n l/n... a sugary-sweet, innocent, intelligent, pulchritudinous girl. what would someone think if they walked in and saw this perfect girl getting ruined all over devil cock like this?"
you let out a broken moan as he picked up the pace, tears racing down your cheeks. he cooed at you, "awh, don't cry kitten. it'll all be our little secret, hmm? i promise i won't tell a soul about how dirty you really are." his eyes flashed a bright shade of yellow as he leaned down to kiss your chest, finding your hardened nipple with his mouth and swirling his tongue around it before biting down on the sensitive bud. he fed off of the pleasureful whine he got out of you from it, "so sensitive. pretty baby's only this dumb and pathetic for me, aren't you?"
tears welled up in your eyes as you nodded your head desperately. it was as if he sent you into another dimension as he filled you up with such graceful impurity.
he was right. only you were truly at risk here. if anyone walked in on this, your entire reputation would be destroyed.
but you were too far gone to be worried about that, as your third orgasm of the night began to build up in your stomach. your fingers held tightly onto the sleeve of his leather jacket. jungwon smirked, his tongue protruding through his cheek as his sharp fangs reflected the moonlight from the window outside the window.
"gonna cum?" he asked you, his voice shaky and whispery as he leaned into your ear, asking you the vile and disgusting question without missing a beat.
your breath hitched in your throat, unable to respond to him other than with a long, whimpery string of moans, a tiny little 'yes sir' knotted to the end, which you only managed to cry out after much struggling.
he laughed darkly, licking a stripe up along the side of your ear as he gripped tightly onto your hips with his sharp claws, lifting you to a degree and pulling you onto his shaft as he met your hips halfway, "good. i'm gonna fill you up so good, yeah? you want that?"
you gasped and shuddered at this new angle, the tears now rolling down your cheeks as fast as raindrops on a window pane in a heavy rainstorm. you could feel so much more now, the way his bulbous head rubbed against your cervix when the base of his length reached the end made you feel foggy in the head, as you only nodded your head vigorously, "y-yes sir! please w-want you..!" you babbled drunkenly, intoxicated by his devilish intrusion.
jungwon smirked at your tearful desperation, "how dirty of you..." he whispered teasingly, "you want my devil babies in your pretty little angel pussy? hm?"
you weren't even really sure of the extent of what he was saying anymore, only gasp and nodding your head, feeling your opening clamp tightly down onto him, the stretch now even more satisfying as you felt your eyes roll back, your body arching off of the desk. "m' g-gonna..!"
he chuckled beneath his breath as he watched the knot snap before him, your entire body shaking as you gushed around him, making a real mess of the classroom desk, your words breaking into torn and fragmented moans and whimpers. you could feel your heartbeat thundering through your body, thighs dripping with essence as you gasped for air, eyelids heavy as he continued to chase his high, connecting his lips to yours in a messy kiss.
he let out a soft groan against your lips as he stilled his movements, his warm, pearlescent release filling you to the hilt as your eyelashes fluttered and your breath began to slow to a more fluid pace.
the both of you took a moment to calm down, before you opened your mouth to say something, but jungwon only grinned at you, hushing you gently.
"shh... i'll take care of you, sweet angel."

hihiiiii i’m v sorry if you’ve already been asked this question, but how long does it usually take u to write a fic? i’m also a writer (not rly on tumblr tho) and i’m curious abt others’ processes. if the amt of time varies, does that depend on what you’re starting with? as in whether you’ve already developed somewhat of a plot or certain dynamics in ur head? what else might be involved?
i’m sorry if that doesn’t make much sense LOL i can reword it if you’d like ☺️
no worries !! 💗🧚🏽♀️
it usually takes me a good week or sometimes even a few days. i take lots of breaks though, like i’ll work on it for about a good hour or two then take a break ‘n do smth else bc im a rly busy person 👯♀️. it depends on how motivated i am too, but it usually takes a few days !!! i try to outline and at least summarize a majority of the fic beforehand to be organized. i spend a lot of time procrastinating though 🧍🏽♀️🧍🏽♀️bc it’s quite tiring so yah !! breaks are vv important 🎀

Run ARMY! (1st Game Part) a1 d2
[Caution: These are not full fics, or even full parts of fics for some, these are part of my writing progress archive!]
Concept: Reader won the opportunity to film a spin off of Run BTS! celebrating the boys return from enlistment, called Run ARMY!, over the course of seven days.
Word Count: 954
Notes: This chapter in particular is actually inspired by a SKZ fic on Ao3 but I'm so tired I am not going to go look for it rn. I will probably add it to the inspo list for this chapter when I make an Addition post. Thinking about games and activities for them to do is literally so difficult. Props to the production crew for Run, I could never. Writing large groups is also vv difficult T^T I'm actually pretty content with the writing itself for this chapter. Could use some clarity edits, but everything always can.

Warnings: I don't think there's any?

"Before we begin, I would like to apologize to my fellow ARMY" you tell the camera seriously as soon as the PD finishes explaining the rules to you.
You and the boys had been called into the living room of your accommodations after breakfast for the first real game of your trip. It seemed they were mostly theming the games as ones they've done before with the added twist of you. Today’s game? The iconic five sense test.
The group cracks up laughing at your preemptive apology, but you maintain your eye-contact with the camera. "I will be as respectful as physically possible." You promise the dark lens, "Please understand."
You had good reason to preemptively apologize, you thought. ARMY would go feral as soon as this episode aired, you were positive. It wasn't every day one was not only allowed, but encouraged to touch the members of BTS.
That's right, they had rearranged the five sense rest in such a way that it was you against BTS, and the consequence was that you now had to caress each member as little as you could manage and still win the game.
The rules were pretty simple - you'd be blindfolded and the members would take turns approaching you to let you try to identify them by touch. You'd have 50 seconds to guess. If you got a member correct, you'd get a point. If you got it wrong, the boys would get a point.
You think 1 vs 7 is a little unfair, but you suppose that you did represent the millions of ARMYs at home right now. Your team was larger in spirit.
When the members got over their amusement at your impending doom, you took a moment between takes, as the 8 of you settled into position on and around an armchair, to check in that everyone was comfortable. You know you'd filled out an entire questionnaire about what you did and didn't consent to, but that didn't mean you knew that information about the group.
"So, I know I'm OK with this game, but are y'all good?" You question lightly. You're dead serious on the inside, but a little levity went a long way for these sorts of conversations.
It's Jungkook who raises his eyebrow at you. "Yeah, of course." He replies simply, tilting his head at you a bit, as if confused why you'd even ask.
You can't help the half smile that crawls over your face as you explain, "It may be a cultural thing, but I just wanted to make sure you were OK with me touching y'all like that." You pause here, still seeing confusion over most faces, RM and Jin being the only ones to be connecting dots, "Y'know, since we don't really know each other?"
A chorus of enlightenment echoes around the semi-circle of men surrounding you. V in particular seems a bit taken aback, almost like he'd forgotten that you weren't close. Which was silly, because you'd literally met them for the first time yesterday.
j-hope meets your eyes with a kind and encouraging gaze. "We're fine!" He assures you, leveling you with a concerned look of his own, "as long as you are?"
"I assure you, this is a dream come true on my end." You quip, drawing a laugh out of Jimin and a mischievous grin from Jungkook. J-hope just shakes his head at you fondly.
"Seriously though," You continue, "If I'm wandering too far or in directions I shouldn't, just grab my hands to stop me. I'd rather not make anyone uncomfortable." It, in fact, made YOU a lot more comfortable to put the power to stop things in their hands.
You had so much anxiety about respecting their boundaries and it was only day 2. It was tough going from one side of a screen to another.
RM nods agreeably where he's standing and adds, "Sure, and if you get uncomfortable or need a break, just let us know." You sound your agreement to the group's approving nods.
Soon enough Suga was helping you tie a handkerchief over your eyes while you nervously wrung a secondary eye mask between your hands. You'd been handed a cute frog one by a staff member and were quite pleased by its silliness.
You already felt quite vulnerable, blinded as you were. You could feel Suga's fingers deftly tying the handkerchief and resisted a shiver as he gently smooths it and makes you're none of your hair has been caught. You jump a bit when his hand lands on your shoulder.
You feel a split second hesitation before he draws away just to pat you twice in silent signal of the completion of his task and know that he'd noticed. He's kind enough not to mention it, though, and you hope he just puts it down to nerves.
You ARE nervous, of course, of the cameras, and the members, and everything about your situation, basically, but your jumpiness really stems from how unmoored you feel as you slide the face mask on. You're robbed of one of your most relied upon sense and soon to lose a second. You can't help going quiet and still as you listen to the staff and members take their places.
It seems Suga is MCing this episode as he leads the opening and prompts the members to explain what they're up to today. It brings a smile to your face to listen to them banter and you only wish that you could see their accompanying smiles right now.
You assume you've been revealed when Suga calls out to you, so you wave with both hands and try to look more excited than anxious. You're not sure it works.

“He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” —Matthew 11:15 (NASB)
“As He passed by, He saw a man blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he would be born blind?”
Jesus answered, “It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him. We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world.”
When He had said this, He spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and applied the clay to his eyes, and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which is translated, Sent). So he went away and washed, and came back seeing.
Therefore the neighbors, and those who previously saw him as a beggar, were saying, “Is not this the one who used to sit and beg?” Others were saying, “This is he,” still others were saying, “No, but he is like him.” He kept saying, “I am the one.”
So they were saying to him, “How then were your eyes opened?” He answered, “The man who is called Jesus made clay, and anointed my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go to Siloam and wash’; so I went away and washed, and I received sight.” They said to him, “Where is He?” He said, “I do not know.” —John 9:1-12 (NASB)
“Telling Your Story” By InTouch Ministries:
“Our job is to faithfully share the good news and trust the Holy Spirit to change hearts.”
“Human beings are designed by God to love stories. That’s why, when we tell others about how God has rescued and changed us, the Holy Spirit begins to work in the hearts of those who have ears to hear. (See Matthew 11:15.)
Consider today’s Scripture passage, which relates the story of the man born blind. Many questioned him about how he received his sight, and he simply shared the facts: “The man who is called Jesus made mud, and spread it on my eyes, and said to me, ‘Go to Siloam and wash’; so I went away and washed, and I received sight” (v. 11).
“Is this not the one who used to sit and beg?” they asked. Some said, “This is he,” but others said, “No, but he is like him” (vv. 8-9, emphasis added). The man’s transformation was so amazing, so impossible by human standards, that observers began to craft their own narrative trying to explain what had happened. The man simply repeated, “I am the one” (v. 9).
Like him, we don’t have to know every answer to every question in order to talk about our Savior; we need only tell what Jesus has done for us. The Holy Spirit will do the rest.”

The Bible and Depression
Though one could search Scripture and conceivably define depression in a number of ways, for simplicity’s sake depression will be defined as follows: a strong response of sorrow, discouragement, or lament to a perceived loss, harm, or deficiency in one’s circumstances that hinders one’s ability to handle the realities of daily living. A helpful case study of this definition can be found in 1 Kings 19. After a stunning display of God’s power and victory over paganism, the prophet Elijah was threatened by Queen Jezebel, and he feared for his life, running away, then asking God to take his life because he had had enough and could not endure the isolation any longer (vv. 4, 10). He had experienced a loss and threat of harm in the queen’s rejection of God, and he perceived that her wickedness had been victorious, leaving him helpless as the last faithful follower of God. Therefore, Elijah was discouraged and had no hope of continuing God’s work.
As with any emotion, the sorrow of depression can have both righteous and unrighteous expressions.
Depression is righteously expressed when the perception is accurate, the loss is something good, and the response is Christlike. Often righteous and unrighteous expressions are mingled together in all these categories. In Elijah’s case, his perception was partially correct. God acknowledged that the journey was too much for him, that he did not have sufficient strength in himself (v. 7). However, his perception was inaccurate because he believed that the completion of God’s purposes terminated on him. God’s power and presence were non-factors to his situation (vv. 10–14). He was not aware of the seven thousand believers God had preserved independently of himself or God’s plans to continue his prophetic ministry in a successor, or the judgment he would bring under new kings (vv. 15–18). Elijah’s perceptions assumed that if he did not see change in the people of Israel according to his expectations after all his efforts, then he must be a failure and all hope was lost.
The loss Elijah experienced was genuine. He was right to mourn the stubbornness of the people and the martyrdom of his fellow believers. If he showed no grief or sorrow at such evil and tragedy, one might question if he really loved his people or if he was really concerned with the ministry God had assigned him (cf. Jonah 4:2). Godly sorrow acknowledges that the object that was lost was a good gift God had provided, that the individual was thankful for that gift, and that they long to see God make things right again. However, there is another element implied in Elijah’s despair. He contrasts his own faithfulness and zealousness for God with the rebellion of Israel, noting a disparity, that it appears as though he has not received the results his efforts deserve (1 Kgs 19:10). It seems there is a sense in Elijah that he is owed from God Israel’s redemption as the fruits of his faithful labor. This is where good desires can go awry, making them the hope and purpose for one’s being instead of God. While it was right for Elijah to desire Israel’s repentance, his main reason for his zeal needed to be because he found his ultimate satisfaction in the Lord and all His works, regardless of how He decided their results. Depressed sorrow does not lead to righteousness, but death when it is focused on one’s idols (2 Cor 7:10).
Elijah’s response reflected Christ in that just as Jesus threw himself at the mercy of His Father in the depths of his anguish (Matt 26:39), Elijah in the midst of his distress went to the mountain of God, Mount Horeb or Sinai, the place where God’s Word and presence had first been so powerfully revealed (1 Kgs 19:8). Though he struggled with doubt and discouragement, he never allowed his hardship to hinder his love for God or his dependence upon him. Elijah continued to be obedient to the Lord even when he felt there was nothing left for him to give (vv. 12–19). Nevertheless, Elijah’s sin nature still peered through. His fear of Jezebel led him to despair as the pagans, as one without hope (1 Thess 4:13; cf. Eph 2:12). He had given up on life and saw no way that God’s power and presence could be relevant to his situation (1 Kgs 19:4, 12)
The primary characteristics of the depressive experience in the inner man are profound weariness, weakness, and weeping. Proverbs 13:12 teaches that living without hope makes the heart sick. David in Psalm 69:2–3 compares his sorrow to drowning with no sure footing, exhausting himself with tears and searching for God’s help and not finding it. The sons of Korah felt powerless and without strength, like a dead man going to the grave (Ps 88:4). The only thing the heart is capable of doing in these times of distress is pouring out tears and groans, often for extended periods of time (Ps 6:6). All this emotional energy is exhausting, using up all of one’s strength so that a person eventually grows numb and has trouble reacting to anything (Ps 38:8).
Depression fills a person’s mind with many questions such as “Why am I suffering? What is the point of living? Where is God? When will this end?” (Ps 77:7–9). In these questions, the heart is craving understanding and hope but is unable to find them. David is famous for lifting his eyes to the hills to search for his help from the Lord (Ps 121:1), however he often concludes that his eyes have failed him in finding the Lord’s help, that he has strained so long in searching his eyes now grow dim (Ps 119:82; 69:3). When these questions remain unanswered, it has a way of coloring a person’s perspective on life as being pointless. Solomon looked at all his mighty works and despaired because he found no inherent meaning in them. He saw it as pointless to toil and labor on earth when everything ends in death and someone else receives the fruits. When one takes such a view, it is hard to feel motivated to engage in life’s tasks. In the middle of such suffering, the only thing a person can focus on is how to be free from this pain. In Psalm 13, all David can do is question how long he must wrestle with his sorrow and be dominated by his enemies. He is desperately searching for an escape, some point of light that shows him that the pain he is experiencing has an end.
Such sustained hopelessness in the inner man can have a devastating effect on the outer man. The psalmists use some graphic language to describe depression and suffering’s effects on the body, that their bones are in agony and wasting away (Ps 6:2; 31:10), their strength is draining from them and their hearts melt (Ps 31:10; 38:10; 22:14), and their bodies lose all soundness or stability (Ps 38:3). With such a complete loss of energy and motivation as it is all consumed with enduring grief, often the basic necessities of life go neglected. The psalmist’s grief made him forget to eat his daily bread (Ps 102:4), and the very thought of food was loathsome to Job as it had lost its taste (Job 6:6–7). Job was also plagued with sleepless tossing and turning, even nightmares because of his suffering (7:4, 13–14). Relationships also often go untended or are disrupted by suffering, as Job was abandoned and scorned by all his family and friends (19:13–19), the psalmist felt all alone like a bird on a housetop (Ps 102:7), and David would not interact with any of his attendants in his grief (2 Sam 12:17).
In the craving for escape from the pain, depressed people will take many different actions to find some way to release their stress. Often this is found in endless weeping and groaning (Ps 6:6). A common godly response is petitioning the Lord through fasting and prayer (Neh 1:4). In modern times, many have turned to self-harm to distract themselves from the pain and desperation, much as Job scraped at his sores (Job 2:8), as well as the prophets of Baal attempting to make their God notice them (1 Kgs 18:28). People will turn to some form of refuge, sometimes in a bottle, sometimes in a person, sometimes in isolation, and sometimes, when no escape can be found, the depressed person will turn to death to end it all rather than continue enduring the sorrow
There are three factors that create the occasion for depression. The first factor is suffering. There is a general groaning and sorrow that all of creation experiences because of sin, longing to be free from the curse of the Fall (Rom 8:22). God’s purpose for the sorrowful emotions expressed in groaning is to make human beings aware of their frailty and the desperation of their condition so they will see their need for Christ to be their comfort, salvation, and rest (Eccl 7:2–3; Matt 11:28). Because of man’s human limitation, sometimes there genuinely is too much suffering for him to bear, and the release of sorrow allows him to take the time he needs to find his rest in God.
The second factor is the actual committing of sin (Ps 38:3). The sorrow of committing sin is twofold. First, the sin itself causes sorrow because rather than fulfilling its promise to satisfy what God cannot, it lays a snare and leads to death (Jas 1:14–15). Second, once the sin is committed, it lays another burden of guilt and shame that taxes the soul (Ps 38:4). This is part of God’s design. Sin is supposed to sting so that people will not desire to commit it again, yet people still love their sin despite how it hurts them, therefore God often gives them over to sin’s destructive nature as judgment (Rom 1:28).
The third factor, intermingled between suffering and sin, is self-centeredness. In 2 Corinthians 4:7–9, Paul argues that the weakness and suffering he and his ministry companions had endured was designed to elevate God’s power and not their own. Because they were not focused on themselves, they were “afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed but not driven to despair” (v. 8). Solomon discovered that pursuing whatever his heart desired for its own sake was ultimately vanity and striving after the wind (Eccl 2:9–10). A life focused on self can only bring emptiness and despair, but a life focused on God brings fullness of joy (Ps 16:4, 11).
All three of these factors are occasions, or reasons that could and often should lead someone to respond with depression. However, it is the factor of self-centeredness that will determine how severe the person’s depression will be. When faced with the hardship of life or the conviction of sin, man has two choices. He can either do as Jesus did, submit himself to God who judges justly for his hope, comfort, and endurance (1 Pet 2:23), or he can turn inward and decide for himself what he needs to do to handle these sorrowful circumstances. Jesus compared this choice to building a house on rock or sand. Trusting in the Lord’s Word leads to hope and life in the midst of the storm, whereas trusting in anything else leads to despair and destruction (Matt 7:24–27).
Judas Iscariot is a prime example of this concept. He experienced the first sorrow, hardship in the world, as he was dissatisfied with the Messiah God had sent. The trail Jesus was blazing was not a path Judas could bear to take. Rather than turning to God for help with his discontentment, Judas turned to himself and created his own god, money, which commanded theft and envy. Judas trusted in this god, even though idols multiply sorrows (Ps 16:4), craving more and more, never turning the Lord. The more sin is chosen over God, the more the second sorrow, the burden of sin. is produced, but, convinced that his idol of wealth would save him, Judas continued to reject God in favor of himself. The climax of his efforts to deal with the struggles of his heart was his betrayal of Christ for thirty pieces of silver, but when even this ultimate act of rebellion did not satisfy him, Judas was driven to despair. With the Lord of Glory now dead to him, the only one who could bear the impossibly heavy burden of sin he had created was himself (Matt 27:4). The third sorrow, the isolation of self-centeredness, crushes man under the weight of sin because man is not sufficient in himself to handle the curse in a fallen world.
The goal in responding to depression must be glorifying God through perseverance according to His Word. Simply trying to remove negative feelings in favor of more pleasant ones will not be sufficient. God never guarantees relief from trials and temptations in this life—just the opposite in fact (John 16:33)—but He does promise the grace, power, and hope to endure and finish the race of life well where the reward will then be received (Heb 12:1–3). Depressed believers must resolve that regardless of how they feel, they will be faithful to obey God’s Word and cling to Him as their hope and comfort. Three strategies for accomplishing that goal include communing personally with God, confessing sin to God, and cultivating relationships for God.
First, depressed believers must commune personally with God. When people are sorrowful, the flesh often tells them that there is no point in turning to God, that prayer and Bible reading are too much work and not worth the effort since it will not help any way. What depressed individuals really need is to take a self-care day, to lay in bed and not engage with anyone or anything until they have the energy to do so. In reality, refusing to spend time with God is simply cutting suffering people from their source of comfort, neglecting the graces He has provided to help them endure (2 Cor 1:3–4).
Depressed believers actually have a blessing that those without similar struggles cannot possess—they are palpably aware of their own weakness and frailty, therefore they are in the perfect position to experience the power of God’s grace in a unique and intimate way because God’s power is made perfect in weakness (2 Cor 12:9). Those who struggle to get out of bed every morning as they battle the weariness of the world know for a fact that there is no way they are being held together by their own strength but only by the power and kindness of God. This knowledge should drive believers to spend as much time with God in worship and prayer as they can so that they can be confident that His strength is available to them.
Second, depressed believers must confess sin to God. David reveals that when he kept silent about his sin his heart was in turmoil within him, his strength failed him, and his bones became brittle with groaning (Ps 32:3–4). The flesh will assure the individual that continuing in isolation or turning to another idol will eventually bring rest while at the same time arguing that bringing sin into the light will only make them feel worse with guilt and shame. But as seen before, turning to sinful strategies to deal with depression only increases sorrow. The only way to be free from the lies and heartache of sin is to confess it to God who “is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).
Even if depression is not rooted in the sorrow of sin, believers still must confess what is in their hearts to God. Honest communication with God about what one is thinking and feeling is how one develops intimacy with God and demonstrates trust in Him, casting their cares on Him because they believe He cares for them (1 Pet 5:7). It is also how God begins to wean people off their self-reliance and dependence on idols for comfort. Whatever a person’s situation, they can always go deeper in their dependence on God and turn from their dependence on self.
Third, depressed believers must cultivate relationships for God. Man was not created to live in a vacuum (Gen 2:18). While the flesh says relating with other people will only lead to further exhaustion, Scripture says, “Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment” (Prov 18:1). God’s intention for relationships is to be an instrument in His hands to share His comfort (2 Cor 1:4–5). Those who have been comforted by God in their afflictions can comfort the depressed individual, and likewise the depressed individual can share how God’s grace has been comforting them in their depression. Those who serve the flesh serve themselves in all their afflictions, but those committed to God’s glory will have His grace serve others out of their afflictions.

im sorta kinda new into f1, like watching races on the peripheral as a girl born into a #SportsFan family where we watch any sport available on the television BUT i have a question abt whether the drivers “watch film” or like analyse their competitors races as well as their own ?? like watching film is common with like others sports like basketball and like idk volleyball to like get the feel of their opponents before a match but do they do that in motorsports esp in f1? bc i rewatched the monza race and landos comments on how his front left tyres has gone and he doesn’t know why it does that made me wonder if analysing others onboards would make it better or if thhe car just really eats up the tyre? sorry if this is v roundabout but im rlly curious bc how do u rlly develop tyre management like jjabanskll thank uuu nd ur sports inputs r rlly fun and vv insightful esp with it being technical but also not rlly LMAO
"Do drivers watch film?" is SUCH a Sportsball Girlie question... I feel known and seen and loved <3 as a football fan I totally get it.
As far as I know, all teams have access to other drivers' onboards and radios, and any camera angles that are available commercially (if you can see them on F1TV, they're public). The FIA have access to all camera angles on every car, which are used to review incidents if necessary. Drivers can watch other drivers' onboards if they want to and I wouldn't be surprised if some do, but it's not very relevant or helpful in terms of improving your craft. Machinery plays such an important role in F1, and you can't just replicate something that someone in a different car with a different set-up might be doing. So much of F1 debriefs is looking at data — power unit telemetry and timing screens during the race, comparing race track data with data gathered during simulations to assess the reliability of simulator runs, things like that — compared to other sports where analysis software definitely have a place but aren't THE core part of a post-competition debrief.
Basically: drivers need to understand how to get the most out of their machinery, and looking at how others are doing is not the best way to go about that.
On tyre management specifically: tyre degradation depends heavily on track conditions (layout, temps, surface) and car set-up. Some factors that affect tyre life negatively include high-speed corners, speed transitions (acceleration/braking), harsh throttle application, bumping into kerbs etc. Being "good at tyre management" means being able to minimise these factors and driving as smoothly as possible while maintaining race pace over the course of the race <- that is the really tricky part — not just executing a great lap, but being able to pull it off multiple times in a row, as all these very fine margins add up. Usually in debrief engineers will have mapped out the track and offer feedback on areas that need more careful brake applications, ideal racing lines going into the corners and so on. It's the kind of skill that's developed my practice, and I assume sim works plays a big part as well, but there's always going to be a discrepancy between sim data and actual track data.
What I'm getting at — hoping this answers your questions: someone like, idk, Lando, would get more from his engineers giving him feedback on where he could have applied less throttle or been more careful with brakes or how he could have compensated for declining tyre grip later into the stint etc — than he ever could from watching Charles's onboard, especially not knowing the fine details and hard data of Charles's car.
Anyway! I feel like I just barely understand these things for myself so I hope this is clear! I'm gonna @toxicrivalries (who unlike me is a STEM person) in case he wants to correct something. You might also be interested in this article that lowkey breaks down some of Charles's moves in Monza — a lot of the fine work he did was about balancing the car going into the fast corners to avoid overstressing the anterior left tyre. (If this sounds super technical, it is — that's why F1 cars are fine-tuned to hell and back)

Can may have i please maybe a little bit help on how to build scaramouche ? Pretty pls ?
of course dearest!! this is just my personal opinion and im not a.. "professional" theorycrafter (i don't look at calcs or sheets lol) so keep that in mind!!
so! first, the weapon. if you're f2p, the widsith is one of the safest options bc it provides a good amount of crit dmg, which you'll want for him! otherwise if you've been playing long enough and have dodoco tales (an event exclusive weapon, i think it was the first GAA so back when kazuha got released LMAO) it's also a good one but only with a specific artifact set, ill explain in a bit. if you get the battle pass then you can go for the solar pearl, i personally use it bc the passive (NA/CA buff when skill/ult is used & skill/ult buff when NA/CA are used) is v cool. also crit rate which is nice. his best weapon is his signature tho so if you have it LUCKY give it to me please :]
artifact sets! he has one that's tailored for him, i can't remember the name but it's the newest one in the desert <3 it gives anemo dmg on 2p and normal attacks dmg & speed bonus with the 4p, provided you use a charged attack before. hence why dodoco tales isn't too bad, bc it buffs it!!
alternative sets: 2p vv 2p his signature one / 2p anemo 2p atk / 4p shimenawa if you like it spicy (and have him at c0 or c1 at most, if you have his c2 then shime is trickier bc you'll want to ult right before his skill ends)
for the stats, classic atk/anemo/crit. now keep in mind that he ascends in crit rate, so you can go easy on the crit rate substats.
you should aim for ~75/80% crit rate if you can, but there's a twist! one of his passives gives him a 20% crit rate bonus if he infuses his skill with cryo, so if you're using him with a cryo character then you can go with like 65% crit rate for comfort. get as much crit dmg as you can, but don't neglect his atk 👨❤️💋👨
as for energy recharge, id say 125-130% if you have faruzan at c4 or more (she also needs favonius bow and at least 50% of crit rate for its passive so keep that in mind! generally speaking a crit rare hat and some crit rate substats are enough), and around 150-160% otherwise!!
for team comps, i play him with a few. if you want to test his max dmg, mona/faruzan/bennett is the best one in my experience, altho if you have c4 jean then you can test it (and give her to me after bc i need her. desperately). but he's pretty versatile otherwise! some of his best supports/sub dpses are layla (cryo + very good shield), yelan (hydro & na, xingqiu works as well tho), faruzan and bennett to no one's surprise. he's also good in taser (electro/hydro) and freeze teams!!
and finally for his talents, id say na/skill then ult in terms of priority! triple crowning him is worth it to me but im deliriously in love with him so my input is a little bit biased
hope this helps, if you have any question don't hesitate 👨❤️💋👨

Hi I just wanted to ask about your mute Lloyd green cousins AU.
Does Morro continue helping Lloyd during SOG & Hunted?
answers this ask like 4 days after its sent. im a professional <3
but, to answer your question. well.. no, but yes
Morro was revealed at the end of H.O.T. in this, so the ninja know about him (they have. very Not Good initial reactions), but after what was going on between the cousins was revealed, they (reluctantly) allowed Morro to stay. it was really weird for them to interact with lloyd for a while bc they knew if he spoke it might of bee His thoughts. Lloyd's not been Actually Speaking for years and NONE OF THEM NOTICED 🤠
BUT. the reveal leads to morro now being able to depossess Lloyd at pretty much anytime bc he doesn't have a damn mark on his head. so, he starts doing that!!! ofc he mostly stays in Lloyd's mindscape, but like. when Lloyd's sleepin or wants some alone time?? shit, sure!! morro can fuck right off for em thats for sure!! (he immediately goes to touch Everyone's stuff)
mm. am tired so ill cut to the chase:
morro and Lloyd are separated for the first time since stixx during hunted. Morro was taken to the first realm with wu and the ninja, and Lloyd is forced to be a Leader without a voice for the resistance. they both miss each other vv much and Legitimately hug one another for the v first time when Morro comes back. they are each others 1-star therapist <3<3

Hi I'm (relatively) new here so, how about a big ol' infodump on Shattered Earth so I'm up to speed ?
:O!!!!! so a new hand touches the beacon…
welcome!! and uuuh sure thing, take a seat somewhere and i’ll try my best to make it as cohesive as possible for ya
IT IS JUNE 8TH, 2005, almost 20 years after Earth was invaded by a extraterrestrial civilization from the planet Mars, and 43 years after a limited nuclear exchange, a small Yellowstone caldera eruption, AND a climate shattering WEATHER TERRORISM event. WOW
the US exists in a state of defanged limbo, under the thumb of an alien king, foreign countries, a plethora of ultracapitalist megacorporations, and its own underground criminal syndicate: The League. The only thing the country has going for it now is the headquarters for the world’s organization of superscientists, the Promethean Society, founded by renowned super scientist and twice savior of humanity, Lupe Altena- who hasn’t been seen in almost 15 years now, and because of this absence, the Society as well as the fragile peace between Earth and Mars has quietly slipped into disarray…
We have…man eating aliens! Half aliens! Alien space blood magic!! Superpowers!! Corporate owned superheroes!! Zombies!!! Dinosaurs!!!! Androids!!!! Conspiracies!!!!!
BUT THIS ISNT ABOUT THEM *shoves them off the table* ITS ABOUT THIS LOSER
this is our main protagonist! his name is Desmond Arkady, and he’s probably the most normal yet unluckiest character in this 80+ character cast. it’s through his experiences in accidentally getting involved in organized crime, superscience conspiracies, and ultimately just finding his way through life that the story of SE is slowly unraveled…in which, it turns out, he’s been an unaware key player this entire time against his will. :eyes:
SMALL BRAINDUMP TIIIME
SE is my baby. my number one. my big cheese, my good time boy ETC
Its been a sort of playground for me writing wise?? Like its a world for me to run around in and explore all sorts of crazy ideas and character developments/dynamics. The aliens are made of crude oil and have ghosts, 40% of the earth’s population has superpowers and the entire cast is completely made up of jerks and losers set in a retro future where the world just keeps ending and people cant really do anything about it
Also!! Themes of SE are fun, the whole ‘theres always a bigger fish’ motif that i dont talk about, the idea that “Martians need to eat, and humans dont wanna be eaten. Humans need resources/energy, but Martians dont wanna be turned into biofuel; humans are no longer at the top of the food chain and have to deal with that.” themes concerning the wasteland that politics create and unhealthy family/relationship dynamics and other darker themes v-v WITH A NEARLY ALL QUEER CAST! NEXT TO NO UWU SHIT EVERYONE HERE IS FUCKED UP and WILL fuck up. With everybody in SE i try my damndest to write them within a grey-black morality zone.,,ANYWAY im getting off track i think-
Uuuh SE is just my love letter ig to just plain weird bullshit scifi, its my biggest, weirdest, longest story to date and tbh iiii have honestly struggled to summarize this as i have vv’ but rn the brain rot has been insistent forrrr almost 11 months now which is UNUSUAL for me. Ive hardly worked on anything else which tells me that SE is something to truly work for in a way :D i hope one day to actually make it into a webcomic so i can finally tell the story abt all these fuck ups :3
but uuuuh i hope that catches u up to speed somewhat :o but if not i always love answering questions and will try my best to answer any u might have :D
#kudzu responds#shattered earth#se issss waaaay too big for me to properly like. hm#infodump abt ig#theres so much going on..

This Month’s Review...
Dostoevsky, Fyodor: Crime and Punishment, 9.5/10
Okay, but this book is so good! I loved the psychological and mentally straining aspects of Rodion and his dual personality! The characters, the writing, the book itself deserves unlimited kisses. I felt that the redemption arc (?) was a little too long for me, but then I remember that Dostoevsky was being paid by the page and then just continue reading like, “Dos, I’m doing this for you, bro.” I loved this rollercoaster of emotions and I can’t stop thinking about the genius of Dostoevsky’s mind. Also Dounia is best girl, she’s strong-willed and self-sacrificial; which is something that hits a little to close to home. Will definitely read again soon!
Tolstoy, Leo: Resurrection, 10/10
No questions asked, this is my favorite book of all time. Katyusha my beloved, she honestly deserved better than Dmitri’s crusty ass, but hey at least he made efforts to redeem himself and become a better person. The tenderness (?) of the themes of love and the resurrection of the spirit/mind are what stole my heart and introduced me to the world of Russian Literature. Tolstoy’s works aren’t the easiest to comprehend, but that’s what makes it so rewarding to read.
Bulgakov, Mikhail: The Master and Margarita, 9/10
Funny and wack as hell, I loved this book! I don’t know, the idea of Satan disguising himself as a professor to fuck shit up in Moscow and cause a chain of problems is so amusing to me??? Also the iconic dialogue: “You’re not Dostoevsky!” ... “Dostoevsky is immortal!” It’s such a powerful story in historical context and I look forward to finding more of Bulgakov’s work. I liked the way he described characters and the overall writing style is comfortable to me.
Dostoevsky, Fyodor: Notes from the House of the Dead, 10/10
OKAY????? This book is now one of my new faves and I’m so glad to finally get a copy. It’s also my first Pevear and Volokhonsky translation work of Dostoevsky and wow, I love this translation so much? I’ve only read the trans-works of Constance Garrett; she makes it easier for beginners to digest, but P&V is where it’s at. The tender-hearted moments shared in the bleakness of the prison atmosphere and the unwavering idea of being human is what moved me to tears in a bus.
Turgenev, Ivan: Fathers and Sons, 8.7/10
I know Turgenev had beef with both Tolstoy AND Dostoevsky, which is how I’ve acquainted myself with him. I read this book because it was all over my instagram feed and I really enjoyed this book as well. Books that touch upon generations of people, like this one and Kokoro have always been of great interest to me. Also, Katya and Arkady :) those two make me vv happy. I put First Love on my wishlist and hope to purchase it very soon.
Dostoevsky, Fyodor: Devils/Demons, 8.9/10
Small town people in their small town world, what they gonna do? Cause problems and kill people. Also I was confused as hell while reading this, but as much as it was difficult, it’s such a genius work??? Considering the political atmosphere of eighteenth century Russia, the satirical portrayal of such happenings make Demons so compelling to read. The last chapter w/ Stavrogin’s suicide broke my heart in a way worse than a breakup.
After reading Russian literature for the whole of November, I’ve learned some new things and realized some old things. People can be beautiful, they can be caring and compassionate to others; even in times of great despair, there will be someone who will pick you up to put you back on your feet. There will people who inspire you and some you will hate, but in the end; we are all capable of that gentleness we crave. People only live to save themselves; while that might be true, some people spend so much time saving others, that they can’t save themselves.

Ok, so I absolutely love the concept of Remus working for Logan! I'd love to know more about what their work relationship is like, and what kind of antics Remus gets up to in the lab? Does he often do mischievous things out of boredom or anything? Also, how often does Janus visit Remus at work? And what is Janus' friendship with Logan like?
storm ilysm /p thank you vv much for enabling me yet again
[ask me questions abt the backstories/lore for my if you're going my way, i'll go with you fic]
rambling about all the answers to ur questions under the cut:
1) logan and remus’s work relationship: it is very very good!!!! they both have developed a lot of trust in each other and have a very strong bond. logan feels very protective of remus bc:
a) he is familiar by now with remus’s work habits; remus has adhd that he has a very hard time managing, and is extremely prone to hyperfixating on tasks he is given, and then often forgets to stop and do basic life maintenance things like feed himself/sleep/etc. like, remus has even forgotten to go home at the end of the work day before—he told logan he was going to stay and finish the thing he was working on, and then just kept going without thinking about it until he dozed off at his workspace at about 4am, then woke up like maybe 3 hours later and then kept going with what he was working on until logan arrived. logan was obviously horrified and sent remus home with the day off to sleep and recover, and nothing that drastic has happened since then.
b) because of how much remus trusts logan, he has shared some stuff about his past with him, which more or less had the emotional impact of making logan go “um. that’s horrifying. what the fuck. anyway this is My Kid Now i guess” and also s t r o n g l y recommending that remus go to therapy, and connecting him with emile for that purpose (whose therapist specialization is treating supers, but who was happy to take on a client referred to him by logan) (we are going to see this in the fic too, it just hasn’t come up yet).
remus, meanwhile, looks up to logan as a mentor figure and thinks the world of him!!!!! he would honestly do just about anything for logan. his quality of life has greatly increased because of logan’s impact on him, seeing the faith that logan puts in him really motivated him to try and improve himself as much as he can in as many areas as he can. he really really wants to make logan proud of him. he also thinks logan’s very dry deadpan type of humor is absolutely hilarious. and he absolutely adores working with him. he loves having someone to look up to who he can trust (and logan has more than proved his trustworthiness to remus). just. ugh. they respect each other so much and they work really well together and their relationship is so good and functional and!!!! i love them. im excited for a plot development that is happening soon (starting in the next chapter) that will have a v nice positive effect on their relationship too.
1a) lab mischief: see. see logan is very particular about his Branding as a Very Professional Superhero who is a Good Leader and who is Calm and Collected At All Times. all of which is very true obviously. however. he can still be chaotic lol. he actually fucking loves all the stuff remus gets up to and absolutely encourages him in it (and sometimes participates) (which is remus’s favorite). he also likes having remus as a second pair of eyes when he is brainstorming/testing things, bc remus is like. not nearly as capable as logan, due to less life experience and not having powers etc, but he still provides a fresh perspective that logan can bounce ideas off of, which logan finds really helpful.
where remus really shines, though, is just like. being given old projects that logan abandoned halfway through for one reason or another, and being told to see what he can do with them. hijinks ensue, and about half the time something he does will give logan an idea for something new he can do with the project. remus also is great for testing how a non-supergenius will react to different things logan invents, which logan is usually good at predicting but not always so it is very useful to be able to test it out and confirm.
remus does not actually get up to mischief out of boredom very often, because logan is good at keeping him busy + interested, and remus really likes the work he’s doing anyway. however, he does like to just. experiment. with random supplies from the lab. whenever he has some spare time. this can take a ton of different forms, from chemistry to engineering to physics and more. he usually remembers to double check that it’s okay to use the supplies he wants first, but he’s got enough of an understanding of logan’s system to be able to guess pretty well which things he’s better off not using.
2) janus visiting remus at work: dskjfhdj she actually does this. frequently. much to logan’s half-joking despair. logan’s lab is the one place in the heroes’ headquarters that janus feels really comfortable in (bc that’s where both of her favorite people are), and because of how close they are with logan, it is easy for her to forget/ignore that work boundaries should be different than friendship ones. also janus has a bad habit of ignoring rules he dislikes anyway. so sometimes he just. shows up to chat with logan and flirt with remus. kind of whenever they have some time to kill. (if whatever logan and remus are working on at that time is really important and/or time sensitive, janus does respect logan telling her it is Not A Good Time, but for the most part she just shows up and vibes and is obnoxious in a fun way and sometimes kisses remus.) logan eventually decided to work with this and was like “okay you can keep doing this as long as 1) it does not interfere with any of the three of us actually getting all our work done every day 2) you have to do field testing for any new invention i ask you to” and janus like was very dramatic about that but also was like “yeah that’s fair” lol.
3) janus and logan’s friendship: CRIES SO HARD. I LOVE THEM. they are very close with each other!! their relationship originally was very mentor/mentee structured, because janus was a teenager when they began working together and was logan’s apprentice. logan provided a lot of support for them during this period, more so than would typically be expected from a super to their apprentice, because of patton and the strain that janus’s relationship with their parents was undergoing.
however, as janus went through college, and began to transition from an apprentice to a fully-fledged superhero, his life began to settle down and he began being able to support himself and not need to rely on his parents, and because of all that a lot of the stress they were under all the time began to go away for them, and they matured A Lot. the removal of so many of the big stressors in their life allowed them to just kind of. calm down and chill out and not feel a need to act out or anything anymore. this kind of drastic shift in her personality and temperament definitely helped both her and logan to transition away from a mentor/mentee relationship to a friendship based in a more equal distribution of power, bc so many things were changing anyway, so changing the structure of their relationship felt much more natural. now janus and logan hang out lots outside of work bc they care abt each other so much and enjoy hanging out together!!!!
janus kind of has the “nobody except me is allowed to be mean to you” sibling-type attitude towards logan, they snark at him a lot but if anyone else so much as looks at logan wrong they are in for a Bad Time. and janus does Not forgive Or forget lol.
logan also is the one who introduced janus to the trans community and he helped him figure out the words that felt best to describe herself and what pronouns they like <333 im pretty sure janus is the Only super (other than virgil but that’s different) who logan is out to as trans.
janus often runs errands for logan and does things like grocery shopping etc for him, especially when he knows logan’s working on a new invention that he’s excited about, so that logan can focus on his projects. they also use their shapeshifting for him a lot, from things like showing up in his place to meetings he doesn’t want to go to, to helping him prevent any scares about people discovering his identity by making it look like his alter ego and his super identity are doing different things at the same time, to disguising herself as random minions and spying on different villains to help logan get intel that makes the heroes more effective at protecting the city, to covering for heroes who are injured or sick or whatever so that logan doesn’t have to pick up that slack as the leader of the heroes’ guild.
logan has also invented Multiple very impressive breakthrough inventions specifically for janus, including a saliva test that can detect superpowers before they manifest in a child (hahaha there is a very owie angsty flashback scene that will eventually be in the fic, about Why janus wanted him to invent this and what went down after he did), and also the shapeshifting technology that is what makes their supersuit function for them with their abilities and allows them to fully disguise themself in any situation. while logan makes a lot of his inventions available to the general super community in one way or another, these two particular ones he keeps private because he feels they have higher potential for misuse than many of his inventions; nobody even knows about the saliva test one’s existnece. however, he is willing to make shapeshifting supersuits for any shapeshifter who would like one. he just won’t make the technique available to be replicated.
janus is also willing to listen to logan ramble about pretty much anything at pretty much any time. which isv nice for logan bc he really likes to talk, it helps him organize his thoughts. does janus always understand what logan is talking about? no. is he very supportive and full of commentary designed to make logan laugh anyway? absolutely.
logan also often babysits patton which is always just. so fucking cute i have no words. (he absolutely has on multiple occasions encouraged patton’s frog-power-based instinct to eat bugs, For Science.)
basically!!!! they are besties!!!!!! and they love each other sm!!!!! they are a lil found family <333

Discovering Christ Day by Day
by Donald S. Fortner
Devotional for July 15th
I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne. - Isaiah 6:1
God the Holy Spirit tells us in John 12:41 that the revelation given to Isaiah that is recorded in this 6th chapter of his prophecy was a revelation of the glory of our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. But what is that? What did Isaiah see, when he saw Christ’s glory?
He saw God in His true character, as he really is, in his glorious sovereignty and infinite holiness (vv. 1-4).
Then he saw himself as a guilty, helpless, doomed, damned, lost sinner before the holy Lord God, “a man of unclean lips” (v. 5).
Seeing God as he really is and himself as he really was, Isaiah saw the complete depravity of all Adam’s fallen race, “a people of unclean lips” (v. 5).
By the goodness and grace of God, Isaiah saw and experienced the complete forgiveness of sin by blood atonement (vv. 6-7).
Then, when he saw the Lord’s glory, Isaiah saw the purpose of the triune God perfectly fulfilled by Christ, Jehovah’s righteous Servant (vv. 8-13).
Blessed are those to who God has given such grace! Never forget, O my soul, if I see these things, it is because God the Holy Ghost has given me eyes to see.
Gospel Preachers
The closing verses of Isaiah 6 may have reference to Isaiah and his calling as God’s prophet. God’s servants are all called of God, and all are volunteers in the service of Christ, being constrained by his call and his grace (v. 8). God’s servants are all sent men, sent of God to preach the gospel (v. 9). God’s servants are to some a savor of death unto death (vv. 10-12), and to others a savor of life unto life (v. 13).
Christ our Surety
But Isaiah 8:6 begins with the words, “Also I heard,” as if to indicate a change. It seems to me that this last section of the chapter refers not to God’s servants (gospel preachers), but to God’s righteous Servant, our Lord Jesus Christ.
In the first seven verses of the chapter Isaiah tells us what he had seen and heard in a special revelation to himself. Here he tells us what he was witness to regarding the accomplishments of our blessed Savior as the Surety of the covenant and the fulfilment of God’s everlasting purpose of grace in him. The Lord God favored his prophet with a clear revelation of his covenant mercy and “the covenant of peace” held between the Persons of the eternal God (Zechariah 6:13; Psalms 40:7-10; Isaiah 50:6-9), before the world began.
The terms and conditions of redemption were proposed: — Mercy and truth must meet. Righteousness and peace must kiss each other. Righteousness must be established for the chosen by the obedience of a man of infinite worth. Justice must be satisfied by a man who is God being made sin and punished for all the sins of God’s elect, fully punished, that the holy Lord God might be “a just God and a Savior” (Isaiah 8:20). When those terms and conditions of redemption were proposed, Isaiah heard the triune God say, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then he saw our Divine Surety, the Son of God, step forward for us and say, “Here am I, send Me!”
Question Answered
In verses 9-12, Isaiah, as if struck with what he had seen and heard, raises a question: “How long shall Satan, the enemy of our souls triumph? How long shall fallen man remain under the influence of that wicked one? How long shall Satan work havoc in God’s creation?” Hear what the Lord’s answer is in verse 13.
“But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.”
O for grace to bless the eternal Spirit for such a revelation! Now we see why it is that God preserves fallen humanity. There is one that stands by and looks on, and while to our eye there is nothing to be seen. As we see things, the whole race is like the withered, blighted branch of the vine; everything is hopeless, and dead, and lifeless. Yet, there is in it “a tenth,” “the holy seed,” God’s elect, who must and shall be saved. Therefore, the Lord Jesus says, “Destroy it not, for a blessing is in it” (Isaiah 65:8). Because He is longsuffering toward his chosen, an elect remnant, “the holy seed,” who must be saved, the Lord God spares the world (2 Peter 3:9). The purpose of God shall be accomplished. Christ will save his people (Romans 8:28-30). That is what Isaiah saw, when he saw Christ’s glory.

Session 3: He Comes On A Dark Horse
Or also known as over-compensating.
Dorinn is released from Hold Person as soon as Finnegan/Trevor are out of sight.
Scout shouts some instructions at the party to bind Izek & bring him to the Burgomaster’s manor. She books it after the cart.
Ulstra ties up Izek and Dorinn holds the binding ropes so they can move out of the town square. They probably have done enough damage for one night in Vallaki.
Wait. There is something in the sky that Ulstra notes while the rest of them struggle with Demon Hand Man.
A FLAMING THING IS FALLING TOWARDS THEM? What the fuck-
IT IS SOMETHING CALLED A NIGHTMARE? Flaming horse thing that is being ridden by… FUCKIN STRAHD.
DUDE WE GET IT. YOU HAVE A SHRIVELED PEEN.
Ulstra keeps sassing the Vampire Lord for his poor life choices.
Strahd formally invites the party to attend dinner with the claims that they are interesting and would be good party guests. This is what the kids call SUS.
Izek tries to break out from his restraints but fails miserably. Ulstra calls him ugly/rude.
MEANWHILE - Scout catches up to the bickering boyfriends, does a flip and lands in the cart. They are fighting like an old married couple. She surprises them by agreeing that they all need to be far more direct in their actions overall. They need to go straight to the Manor.
The three of them inform Lydia Vallakovich that her husband is dead after his own foolish actions during the Tax Collection.
Vargas’ body is brought into the den. Trevor convinces Lady V to let Finnegan into the house for at least 24hrs.
Ulstra, Dorinn & Ireena take Izek upstairs to his room… where they find it full of those same Ireena dolls that Scout had spotted in the toy store.
Rightly horrified, they refuse to put him into the sex doll room. Dorinn demands to put him somewhere else as the pervert shouldn’t be allowed near the totems.
Jane grabs Ireena from the shitshow and joins the others downstairs in the den.
Lady V tries to see if her husband had been turned. Finny does not have that ability so the man is just dead.
The party plots to install Lady V as the new Burgomaster & pin Vargas’ death on Izek. Scout is going to forge documents to ratify this but they need to find the original titles.
Upstairs, Dorinn & Ulstra try to find somewhere to put Izek. Victor comes down from his attic just as the demon-handed perv breaks out of his binds & attacks Dorinn. They work to subdue him which mostly works. Dorinn puts him into a headlock, trying to choke the weirdo out. He does manage to flee into his weird sex dungeon room.
Jane asks Victor (who very much has a crush) to get her the village title so Scout can start working on the paperwork.
Dorinn fails to break down Izek’s door so instead asks Victor to place an arcane lock on the door to keep the bastard in.
Trevor follows VV to have some kind of heart-to-heart chat. It seems to go well. Maybe.
There is talk of mist-walking which gets VV all sorts of jazzed. He finds a bunch of related books & takes off back downstairs.
Scout manages to make a perfect forgery of the village title to give Lady V the title of Burgomaster.
Ulstra gets bored and inspects the house. She finds a man named Udo shackled in a closet. Scout is brought up to help free him.
They also find a magic mirror and attempt poetry. It goes middling. Ulstra asks Victor to come help.
ULSTRA HAS A DIVINE MEETING OF THE SOUL WITH THE RAVEN QUEEN??? Several questions are answered.
Tome of Strahd was in the attic the whole time. THE WHOLE TIME. They go up to find it in some dusty chest among all the clutter. Scout immediately dives into reading it. His absolute disregard for her personal space has kindled a deep sort of grudge.
Reading it over, we learn about Strahd’s obsession with the young Tatyana - who was his younger brother’s love/betrothed.
