Over the last year and a half I’ve gotten to know most of these kids because they came to our house every night. ⠀ ⠀ They call it closet parties. I call it the Farmer clubhouse. They come in and go straight to Emma’s room and stay there until 11:30. Sometimes later, sometimes earlier and sometimes...they stay the night. ⠀ ⠀ The boys leave today for Auburn and I know my girl is going to be sad. They have all had such a strong impact on her and I am so thankful. They introduced her to Young Life where she found herself learning more about God and opening herself up to new experiences. ⠀ ⠀ They also tease her and let her go do adventurous things like jump off waterfalls and throw her off the tube at the lake. ⠀ ⠀ She’s grown up a lot this past year and these next few weeks will be new and challenging. She’s the only one in this group going to Alabama. ⠀ ⠀ I hope they all know they have a place at our home anytime and always in our hearts.
