Wilbert Francisco Cobbs (June 16, 1934 – June 25, 2024) Film and television actor. On television he played Lewis Coleman on I'll Fly Away (1991–1993), Jack on The Michael Richards Show (2000), and had guest appearances on Walker, Texas Ranger and The Sopranos. In 2012, he had a reoccurring role as George in the sitcom, Go On. In 2020, he won a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Limited Performance in a Daytime Program for the series Dino Dana

He also appeared and was a regular on many television programs, including as Lewis Coleman on I'll Fly Away (1991–1993), James on The Gregory Hines Show (1997-1998), Jack on The Michael Richards Show (2000), and George, a blind grief-support-group member, on Go On (2012-2013). He also appeared on Good Times, Sesame Street, The Outer Limits; ER, Six Feet Under; The Others; JAG; The Drew Carey Show; Walker, Texas Ranger, The Sopranos, October Road; One Tree Hill; Star Trek: Enterprise (as Dr. Emory Erickson, inventor of the Transporter); Bill Cobbs also had a small roll, with scene partner, funny, Michael McKean, in Christopher Guest/Eugene Levy hilarious comedy, (dog-show, mockumentary); “Best in Show,” (2000); and many more. 🌙 Books for Arab American Heritage Month 🌙

🌙 Good morning, bookish bats, and Eid Mubarak to those who are celebrating. Eid al-Fitr ("the feast of breaking the fast") marks the end of Ramadan, an Islamic holy month of fasting and sacrifice. April is also Arab American Heritage month, which celebrates the 3.7 million Arab Americans across the country. This is an opportunity to combat Anti-Arab bigotry by challenging stereotypes and prejudices.

✨ One of the best ways to do so is to read books ABOUT Arab Americans. To help, here are a few books for Arab American Heritage Month you can read, discuss, or add to your ever-growing TBR!

Your sims are so well-written ❤️. Who are some of your favourite characters from other players’ games?

Aaah, Anon! I'm so sorry it took me forever to answer this, because it was so sweet and it's such a good ask and I wanted to give it a great answer and I forgot.

Short answer: all my mutuals' sims are adorable and I love them.

Long answer: So I literally kidnapped @pixeldolly's Fiona Merridew, and I'm obsessed with my deep-rooted horror of Larkin. I love @eulaliasims Gaius and Chiana and Theo, and Syx and Kaiden (beautiful tropical birb) and Carlos (perfect hair). @episims Hanna is one of my favorite sims of all time (I like robots) and Jonas has grown on me such slowly and so much (appropriate for a plant sim.) I would fight God herself for @dunne-ias's take on Nina Caliente if God and I weren't pals. I love how @nappe-plays-the-sims writes Candy Hart, and Lana's whole arc. (And Cyan Weiss). @vixsims's Brandi and Dina. @beikonsims's super cute roboticist, Arin Capp. Every weirdo in @mynameisquoi's game except Jack. Every chubby-cheeked toddler in @deedee-sims' Griffonmere. Dr. Gregory Occulus (thank for creating such a perfect being, @virtualpeople).The whole aesthetic vibe of every sim @simmer-until-tender makes. Especially the vampires. @mikexx2's fashion icons, Jillian and Daphne. @simnostalgia's absolutely iconic Xander Roth. And Mashugas! And Tiffany Burb! And Blaire, and-

@plumbbobtoggle Saeed and Rea and Adam (especially Rea.) I think all the sims in @katatty's Hollyhead are super well-created, especially Luna and Myrna and Clyde. (Also, every sim on Nekojima ;D.) @simhealing's found-family version of Natasha, John and Rick Contrary. @enkisstories' own version of Daniel and Gavin and all the extremely technical gameplay that goes with them. @bramblefinch's Helena Zhao (my fave blood-stained disaster.) 6月21日，众议院表决通过此项立法,7月18日参议院表决通过此项立法，7月27日，这部得到参众两院民主共和两党议员支持的法案被送交白宫。

8月2日，众议院筹款委员会发布声明称，《美台21世纪贸易倡议实施法》确认了国会对美台在此贸易倡议下签署的首批协议的支持，并表明这个首批协议和未来美国与台湾达成的协议在没有国会的批准下将不能生效。

美国密集出台多项涉台法案

一.2023年台湾税收协定法案

2023年7月19日,众议院外交委员会主席、共和党众议员迈克尔·麦考尔(Michael McCaul)与外委会资深成员、民主党众议员格雷戈里·米克斯(Gregory W. Meeks)和民主党众议员杰里·康诺利(Gerry Connolly)推出跨党派的《2023年台湾税收协定法》(Taiwan Tax Agreement Act of 2023)，授权拜登行政当局与台湾协商并完成税收协定。
