We're going on a treasure hunt to find the lock for Dijkstra's key (that whole part was a euphemism) - and also retrieve his stolen property!

28 - Three or so are short tweet fics but some are rather long so it averages out.

112,069 - woot, it has a 69 ;)

3. What fandoms do I write for?

Yes it's plural fandoms, even if barely: Most of it is of course The Witcher - but I just wrote a short OFMD fic right before the second season came and killed my love for it, and I wrote the first and only fic on Ao3 for the game Tails of Iron.

4. Top 5 fics by kudos:

Stray (167), The Gentleman will be removed from the situation (163)... - LOL, those are the latest and the first -, Petty Theft (100), Boxed (77) and Spelling it out (77)

5. Do I respond to comments?

Hell ya. I would probably ignore negative comments but never got one. To bot comments I respond by reporting them.

6. Fic I wrote with the angstiest ending:

Uh. I don't do angsty endings. I'm treating myself to happy endings. :) The angstiest *parts* has State of Mind but SPOILER they both survive killing each other. "Rings" has reportedly made someone cry! But it's just sad, really.

7. Fic with the happiest ending:

They really all have happy endings, everyone gets to come multiple times many of them are happy and even funny.

8. Do I get hate on fics?

Not specifically on fics, just generally on Tumblr for not shipping the One Correct™ ship.

9. Do I write smut?

LOL yeah :)

10. Do I write crossovers?

Not REALLY. Not as in universe1 characters meet universe2 characters. But - there's the Teletubbies fic, but that's just Emhyr's shroom trip. "Jane Eyre and Wyverns" is Emralt on a scaffolding of the Jane Eyre plot. "The Gentleman" starts out with the OFMD "run me through" scene and the OFMD fic is inspired by Jaws. If those count as crossovers then I do them often. (Also: Goncharov)

11. Have I ever had a fic stolen?

I don't know :'D Not that I know of.

12. Have I had a fic translated?

No.

13. Co-written a fic?

Melittele's knees, NO. There's no "Tim" in "team". I would be fretting about letting the other person down and then accidentally write everything myself.

Hm, that's a tough one 🤣 just kidding. (It's Geralt/Emhyr.)

The Witcher, mostly. Cyberpunk sequel of Broken Pieces is something I'd love to write, but for now I'm happy to just watch the movie in my head.

Blood Ties, Broken Pieces, I Will Find You, Found (hah), and a tie between The Ghost of You and Splinters.

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

Almost always. I have a few saved in the inbox that I hold close to my chest in moments of need. Talking to people in the comments is the biggest joy of sharing the fics.

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Blood Ties, I guess? I'd like to think the endings of my fics fit into the witcherverse in spirit.

Hmmm. I'm gonna say Splinters?

What novelette am I going to start next, that absolutely no-one is going to want to read? POLL!

Of course it's going to be Witcher fanfic, adventure with a side of smut and no: the Star Trek crossover isn't even on the menu. Yet.

1. Portalled to our World

Similar to the Elevator fic Emhyr gets abducted to our world/universe and Ciri dumps Geralt through a portal to get him back. Wouldn't have a self-insert but an OC from our world for snarky modern commentary and I'll probably definitely leave some Terminator references. It WILL be a romance but they'll be snarkier and not immediately in love.

2. Count Reuven's Treasure

You simply can't have guessed it: it's a Dijkstralt adventure about getting the stolen treasure back. @witch-and-her-witcher said she'd read it, so:

Dijkstra starts investigating his key to find out what it opens. Everywhere he goes he finds Geralt who is just minding his own business. Dijkstra thinks, Geralt is after his treasure, too, there's gonna be words (and banter). But there's REALLY someone shadowing him and he's lucky Geralt is there, again, to help him. After that they hunt for the treasure together. Enemies to fuck buddies.

Whichever it's gonna be, I'll be writing on it for another 3 months or so again but will definitely write some short fics, too, in the meantime.

Last movie: I can't remember - Kingdom of Cats? Probably. Months ago.

Currently reading: My own fics; I want to get back into writing the Dijkstralt and decided to get immersed into my writing for that.

Next Reading: Probably the upcoming next paladin book by T. Kingfisher - I still haven't started with the new Murderbot because I'm somehow anxious - like, what if I don't like it. I still haven't read the last Kingfisher horror novel because of that reason. At least I have a to-read stack.

Currently consuming: nothing. I need to drink something but Fussel is asleep in my lap. I always say this because it's always true.

Currently craving: something to eat. I also would have to get up and disturb this poor baby cat.

Currently reading: I'm waiting for the next chapters of a few OFMD fics I've subscribed to. Lately I've also gobbled up two phenomenal Dishonored fics and read the Murderbot novels.

Current song: In my head it's "Not a Virgin" by Poe, it got there because people have talked about Bluesky and the word triggers the line "outside by the blue blue moon" (I don't KNOW! Ask my brain, not me.)

Last series: still Our Flag means Death; I don't watch things anymore. Waiting for the second season which will air in Autumn - if they don't pull back.

Last movie: I re-watched Ghibli's The Cat Returns with @regis-favorite-raven a few months ago on Discord. Ladt movie I saw in a theatre was Pirates of the Caribbean 3 in 2007.

Readers of English literature, can you guess from the first scene which classic novel I've started ripping off? :)

"Wind's howling." Geralt looked out of the tavern's door, turned around and walked up to the landlord's counter. "Looks like rain. Gonna stay in for the night."

He paid for a room and sat back down were he'd just had his dinner, nursing a mug of ale in front of a window. To his left were the not very clear panes of glass, shielding him from the dreary Saovine day while letting him keep an eye out for possible trouble. He took out a book and started to read - A History of Northern Birds. He didn't care especially about birds but always read whatever new books he could lay his fingers on and this was his latest loot.

"Boh! Where is that mutant!" some boisterous arsehole came hollering through the tavern door. When people knew a witcher was in town, some of them seized the oportunity to make a mess and there was no way to win such a fight; if that yokel got so much as a scratch it would be Geralt's fault, even if he just defended himself.

Geralt sighed, emptied his ale, gathered his possessions and went upstairs to find his room before that John-Jack-or-Dick could clock him.

He opened the door and marvelled at the landlord's approach to interior design. Well. He'd be asleep, it didn't matter if the room was painted oxblood and decked out in red fabrics. The red room's obvious day job still hung in the air like a pungent spectre but Geralt had slept in brothels before. He used his cloak to cover the pillow and got a good night's rest.

(Reader, I know: I had a poll here and people decided I should write some Dijkstralt next - I will! Eventually. But inspiration mugged me from behind and now I'm giggling because I started this new WIP)

Scars

I can hardly believe it myself, I wrote a fic and it's not Emralt. It's not the Dijkstralt WIP either, it's OFMD:

Based on that scene in Jaws, Ed and Izzy show off their scars to Stede - more or less enthusiastically.

What starts as a subtle way to get closer with the exciting possibility of a striptease ends in a bit of psychological warfare - because it's Ed.

And because it's me and I slipped into showcasing their fucked up relationship rather than Izzy's arse.

Thank you for the tag! Uh, that would have been the last sentence in "Scars" (Our Flag means Death), written almost 2 weeks ago. (I KNOW I'm supposed to write the Dijkstralt but I've had a few shit days again lately.)

That night he dreamt of school, of Izzy's arms and of Ed showing him the other scars.

(That's not some highschool AU, it's based on the scene in Jaws where people show their scars, but shifts into bullying behaviour. That's why Stede dreams of school, it implies sexual transgression.)
