I'm usually not a fan of explaining the origin of thing that don't really need an explanation but I do like the backstory to why all of Geralt's horses are called Roach.

- But how is that, a witcher on a mare instead of a stallion? How dishonorable. What? That's the least of your problems? Ha, the client is our lord, he wants a mare, he's got a mare. But, hehe, my lord witcher, horses are like fish. I offer you thoroughbred stallions like they're big pikes, and you go and choose a little roach. What are you laughing at? Did I say something funny?

Master Geralt and Master Regis off to Kovir to make some gold.

Geralt went to the coast of Lan Exeter for his Ekhidna contract. Regis insisted on coming with him for short of alchemical supply (monster blood, monster claw, etc.) and promised he would not intervene. But Geralt is not happy because the rest of the sea monsters quickly flew away when they sensed Regis, and he made no extra coin.
