For Michi Karaoke Week @taichixmimi - Day 1: Score

Lesson learned: Never go to an arcade with both Mimi and Taichi at the same time, unless you want to see two extreme competitive sore losers get into a scoring battle.

So apparently I felt like completely going outside my comfort zone for this Michi week (and end it with something more comfortable) but ah, I just want to apologize for my upcoming half ass edits, crappy fanarts and 5th grade fanfics in advance.

I honestly feel so bad. I wanted to organise a Michi Week this summer, but with having worked so much overtime the past weeks and with being so busy with the move, I haven’t had any time to do so...

Anyone up for a smaller Michi activity, though? A one day event such as the Michi Halloween perhaps?

the latest news from @taichixmimi event was in 2018, so that’s why it’s outside the radar and i haven’t added them on the list. but once we’ve heard a news about them, i will surely put them! :)

I was going to post a Michi Winter event, but I have decided to turn that idea into a... new MICHI WEEK! It already has a theme and seven prompts fitting said theme. 

I have to prepare for an exam this upcoming Friday. Once that’s over with I will check which week I can ask for leave from work. So expect an update next week!

trying to find a way back home to you again ↪︎ or: in which taichi and mimi deal with the struggles of being far away from each other, wondering about each other, seeking each other and returning to each other. ( listen )

note: this fanmix is dedicated to @ex-machiina, my forever michi love, who had requested a fanmix about taichi and mimi on a roadtrip. 

gradually i diverted from said theme (i’m so sorry about that) because after watching kizuna i was more inspired to turn it into an angsty semi-ldr as taichi would travel a lot for his diplomatic studies and mimi for her online retail to sample as much different products as possible. due to them travelling so much for their careers, it would complicate them trying to be together as they keep needing to separate ways after being together and as they are still unsure of what they feel and want, and even more unsure of what the other might feel and want. lastly to give it an extra international feel i added non-english songs to the playlist. i wrote down in which language the lyrics are.

cover-wise: yes, i recoloured mimi’s white shoes to match with her dress (taichi was better accessorized than her) and her stockings to remove them all together because that flashy pink colour is not pretty. but most importantly i love how the bg represents an airplane window.

extra: a big thank you to @aarreplaneetta for suggesting the song “the bones” and giving me a second breathe to finish this project (as i was about to give up; i have been working on this project since march...) and to @aeonsofgrace for listening to my ranting.

i have also decided to share this as an entry for the michi summer weekend @taichixmimi because i am rather proud of this fanmix and even though it’s not really an “an outdoor activity” in my eyes they are actively searching for each other outdoors. yeah, no shame.

I’ll definitely use this tag too now. I don’t know if we ever made an official post but me and @zoetekohana also suggested to change at least the tag, since Michi deserve SO MUCH MORE. I’m using digimichi as a hashtag~~ Same couple name only adding digi 😚

Ok seriously, is there any other possible way to name the Michi tag (Mimi and Taichi) bc everytime I try to search some stuff related to Michi I only find an incredible mess in the tumblr tag. It’s totally legitimate ‘cause Michi is actually a popular name, so we should change it, even if I know it’s incredibly cute and appropriate. So why don’t we match, along with Michi, a new tag such as TaiMimi (Taimi is a total mess too)??? I know it’s not as cool as Michi but I checked and it’s completely free of material. Pleaaaaaase. Like I would like to just search for Michi like I search for Sorato, Takari, Koumi, Mimato, Taiora etc. and find only MICHI STUFF. Michi deserves its own working tag!

Also I think I don’t have any Michi follower, so this post is probably going into the darkness after a couple of hours so MEH.

Murphy’s Law strikes again. (I’m going to start calling it Zoe’s Life.) Now that I have a little bit of time and a whole lot of inspiration to create a Michi edit to go along with a fic I have in mind, PS keeps crashing on me.

Honestly, how can I not view this without my Michi otp goggles?

Mimi is standing there, winking, with a happy Palmon, surrounded by little hearts, while it shows the evolutions of Taichi’s digimon in the background.
