Also did you also think Izzy having a crush on Mimi was weird? Izzy always came across as ace to me.

Tai X Mimi... I mean, I don't have a problem with it (I've read a few of those fics in my time), but there's nothing really tying them together. They don't interact all that much, and their personalities and interactions don't scream "romance" to me.

Izzy having a crush on Mimi seems fine. I vaguely remember that appearing way back in Revenge of Diaboromon. I can see him as ace, but it wasn’t really something I thought about much at the time.

Michi Week 2023 - Day 1: Tie the String

We've had some of these news yesterday already, but I'll cover a bit more here, now also with higher resolution images and in english!

First off there's a reveal for a new Logo! Not sure if this will completely replace the current one, considering it's on the card back.

Next we have the 2025 Product schedule!

This starts with April, which will be the time when the Japanese, English, and Chinese versions all start releasing simultaneous.

Next up are the Starter decks ST-20 Protector of Light and ST-21 Hero of Hope. Based on the cover these will include a green-black Izzy and Tai, red-yellow Sora and Kari, yellow-purple T.K. and Matt, and blue-green Mimi and Joe Tamer cards, which appear to have an "Adventure" trait.

These decks will include their respective color's Scramble card with new art, and a special rare Agumon in ST-20 and Gabumon in ST-21. They also announced store events for beginners, "Welcome Tamers Mixer" to coincide with these starter decks' releases.

We also got a release date for BT-21 Booster World Convergence! And the screens I shared yesterday, now nicer!

Appmon will receive a new keyword called <Link>

They also mention the two Champions of Digimon Liberator, Owen Dreadnought and Zenith, and to be excited for what effects Elizamon and Vemmon will have.

We will also get "signature cards" of seven DCG Illustrators. Previously we had the Kenji Watanabe signed Guilmon card. These cards will be a Zephagamon illustrated and signed by sasasi, GraceNovamon by Nakano Haito, WarGreymon (X Antibody) by As'Maria, Agunimon by Naochika Morishita, Lanamon by Tonamikanji, Titamon by toriyufu, and Beelzemon: Blast Mode by Keita Amemiya!

Next up, BT-21 will include an "Illustration Celebration Pack" as Box topper. These 6 Digimon Cards will receive new illustrations by the same illustrators!

Another news is, after including campaigns for special numbered cards of WarGreymon and MetalGarurumon in recent sets, BT-21 will have a special numbered Omnimon campaign!

Throughout the year of 2025 (and early 2026), Release Events of BT-21 through BT-24 will have prize cards that match up to a panorama picture!

Next we got new official sleeves revealed, which were previously teased with the last one hidden completely. Now we know why! As seen in the schedule above, these will release in June 2025.

My take/version of the families/ships in the Adventure 02 Epilogue for my WIP: Part 1

Digimon was one of the many shows of my childhood. Despite the fact that none of my ships were "canon" in the epilogue (RIP Taiora, Takari, Daikari, Koumi, hell maybe Jyouora or Jyoumi), I still didn't mind it. My main issues were with many of the professions (mostly with the female characters, who all had ideal, stereotypical, feminine jobs).

Anyway, here's how I have the families play out for my WIP. Under the cut are the Adventure 01 kids (minus TK and Kari).

Tai and Meiko:

Okay, so don't kill me, but I thought/think they were/could be cute. There's potential here, and since Taiora didn't happen, why couldn't they? The stares and nods in the beginning of Tri were cute! Hot-heated leader x shy, new girl could learn a lot from one another. They both have a tendency to blame themselves for things out of their control, they both had their Digimon partners digivolve uncontrollably (on multiple occasions). Tri left crumbs for these two, they just weren't aware that the crumbs were stale lmao.

Tai would go pro in soccer, retire, and eventually become a Digiworld field agent for the National Data Processing Bureau; transporting back and forth and responding to Digimon related emergencies both in the Digiworld and the human world. He'd eventually move up and become a Special Agent in Charge in the Digiworld Enforcement division.

Meiko works at the Digital Center for Virus Control and Prevention as the Executive Assistant Director, to ensure other Digimon don't become infected like Meicoomon.

They have one son together, named Makoto.

Sora and Matt:

Again, don't kill me, but even as a Taiora shipper, Sorato could make sense.

Fashion design for Sora was definitely...a choice. I'm all for Sora becoming more in tuned with her femininity, just not at the cause of her actual character and interests. So instead, I'd have her go pro in Tennis. Afterwards, she'd help her mother run the flower shop. She would also be a volunteer agent for the NDPB, stepping in for emergencies when needed.

Matt manages to stick with a band and finds relative success, partly due to being one of the OG Digidestined. Afterwards, the band retires and Matt goes solo for a bit, he even releases a pop-rock collab with Mimi. He eventually throws in the towel and launches his own music label and opens a listening bar with live music from his own acts. He occasionally performs there if he's feeling nostalgic. Like his wife, he too is a volunteer agent for the NDPB.

Despite their stubbornness, which made their marriage a bit rockier than most, the two are still happily married with two kids; a daughter named Mizuki and a son named Shinji.

Izzy and Mimi:

Now, unlike the other two, these two would get together somewhat unconventionally (and angsty).

Initially, Mimi would marry Michael while Izzy married another woman. Mimi would be an idol, a worldwide celebrity with many ventures in the entertainment industry (a book biography on the events of Digimon Adventure from her POV, a cooking show where she invites celebrities, an occasional voice actress, performed in quite a few live theatre productions, owns a fashion line, etc.)! An actor and singer well known in both worlds, both in America and Japan, on top of being one of the Original 12 Digidestined who is a volunteer agent whenever an emergency strikes. She even became an ambassador, to meditate between the Digital World and the human world seeing as she was the one to rally allies toward the end of Adventure. Michael, being the son of a famous action star already, would eventually get tired of all the attention it came with being her husband (not to mention how busy her hectic schedule is). This would lead to Mimi and Michael bickering, which would lead to resentment, which would then lead to divorce.

All the while, Izzy and his unnamed wife, who he had met in college, would be happily married until her untimely death in a car accident. Umeko was only three years old. For a while, Izzy buried himself in his work as the new head of the Digital World Cybersecurity division at the NDPB, as well as being a scientist and researcher at the Digital Center for Virus Control and Prevention, being a television Digital Consultant, and giving an occasional lectures at universities. Mimi, in the midst of her divorce, would reach out to an overworked Izzy. While Izzy denied it, Mimi would offer a helping hand or just an ear for him to vent to. Izzy's cold and distant shell eventually cracked, and the two bonded over their tumultuous marriages and busy work schedules. The two officially started dating two years prior to the events of the Epilogue, and remarried when Umeko (Izzy's biological daughter, who he calls Mech for short) was 8 and Akihiko (Mimi and Michael's biological son) was 9, a year prior to the beginning of the WIP.

Both Umeko and Akihiko were fine with their parents remarrying, and accepted each other as siblings seeing as they were friends prior. Mimi and Michael are now civil (as are Michael and Izzy) and Akihiko and Michael speak almost every day. Occasionally, he visits his dad in America during the holidays.

Joe:

Joe's pretty easy. He married the girlfriend he was dating in Digimon Adventure Tri, the bike girl from the Digimon Adventure 02 movie. He and Chieko (the name I'm giving her) both become family doctors, while Joe also becomes one of the first human doctors with Digimon patients.

They have one son together, named Yuji.

Thinking about Miu and how I relate to her, I realize now that a lot of my shipping tendencies in the past have come from a desire to be validated and noticed.

I shipped Mimi with Tai in Digimon back when I was a kid. I shipped Nabiki with Ranma. I shipped Bulma with Goku back before I knew better. Lucca with Crono. Tifa with Cloud, which is actually fair and intended.

All the way up to Miu Iruma and Shuichi Saihara. I don't even like Shuichi. But I still ship him with Miu. Why do I do this? Miu has perfectly acceptable alternative ships, one of which is basically canon. But I want Shuichi. Even though I don't like Shuichi. Why?

And I'm coming to realize that it's... I think it's the status of the thing. A lot of my shipping tastes over the years have been My Character x Main Protagonist. It doesn't matter who he is. Who cares? I just. I just want the validation of getting to be the main love interest.

It's not the character. I might not even like the character. It's the narrative centrality of the thing.

This is a really interesting thing to realize about myself. Huh.

since you loved my l4d2 x digimon AU concept how would be like survivor! tamer s/o and wizardmon bounding together after they joined the other digidestined and their partners (the choosen children) as well their reaction that meiko's meicoomon is currently no longer the only friendly zombie digimon in the group now; in your take?

I honestly don't know much about Meiko and Meicoomon (Haven't yet watched Tri.) but I will do my best

Everyone would probably be very fairly terrified at first, since it sounds like they've been dealing with mostly hostile zombified digimon before

But, after things are explained and calmed down, there would be some other happy reunions. I'm sure Kari and Gatomon missed Wizardmon

Though, he won't let them touch him. 1, he stinks like the dead. 2, due to the memory problems, he doesn't fully recall them at first. They have to give him space to recover first.

Izzy has already been studying Meicoomon and now he's got a new subject to study. If Wizardmon and his tamer allow him to, at least. It would help them figure out a cure faster at least. Tentomon has been asking some general questions to try and help

Joe also checks on Wizardmon, trying to see how he feels, how he's functioning - Digimon Doctor, after all. He did the same for Meicoomon before. Just making sure that he's alright after being basically resurrected. Gomamon is just trying to lighten up the mood and crack jokes

Tai and Agumon are glad for the help! Tai hasn't let Agumon fight a lot, mostly out of worry of him getting infected. So, having someone who can't be infected (even if it's because they're already infected) fighting with them is really good

Matt is a little wary, just at first though. He was the same with Meicoomon, but Gabumon is trying to help convince him. He is glad for the help.

Mimi and Palmon try to repair Wizardmon's clothes. They don't approach him mostly because of uneasiness about his appearance, but that doesn't mean that he's not their friend. So they help in their own way

Meiko is kind of relieved that someone else also has a friendly, if not zombified, partner digimon. She's not alone in it and Meicoomon has someone that she doesn't have to worry about hurting

TK and Sora are missing. Why? Mostly because I had no ideas for them in this, but also because I think it's interesting if they're not all together

Displaced and missing his home and his brother, Yamato wanders into a café selling pastries he often ate in Autun... And meets Sora, a woman who exudes welcome and comfort. A bakery/royalty AU about finding your home and your path.

Main characters: Yamato, Sora, Jyou, Takeru, Mimi, but the entire Adventure/02 cast is included

The main couple is Yamato x Sora, but there are additional minor couples (Jyou x Mimi, more coming).

Tri: Integrity Lens

Sequel to Growing Up with You (available on FFN). Follows Digimon Adventure Tri primarily through the eyes of OC Anami Eimi and Izumi Koushiro. This story is fantastic for you if you love Koushiro, or if you'd enjoy a retelling of Tri that emphasizes Chosen proactiveness.

Four Years

An AU story where the older Adventure kids go to an American college. English dub names and personalities. Izzy/OC, Sorato, Jyoumi, Tai/?, some Takari. A story full of romance, laughs, drama, and fun things like partying and classes. The kids still have a lot of growing up to do, and they need each other to heal old hurts and go forward.
