Are you named after anyone? Two people! My Uncle Stephen and my Nana (maternal grandmother). My brother was named after my dad's high school best friends

When was the last time you cried? I think the last time was a couple weeks ago watching anime. I love a good cry, I've embraced that that's how I express a lot of emotions

Do you have kids? Nope! I'd like to someday, but all in due time.

What sports do you play/have you played? I'm not a team sports kind of girl anymore, but I played soccer as a kid and really enjoyed that.

Do you use sarcasm? Usually only obvious sarcasm. Bevin and I will often use excessively obvious sarcasm with each other to express love. A little linguistic game we play with each other. We never enjoy spending hours and hours on the phone together. So unlike us! Where would you get that idea?

What is the first thing you notice about people? First thing? I feel like my anxiety is charge of that: looking out for how friendly they seem, what they laugh at (if they do), how approachable they might be. I had pretty bad social anxiety disorder from like 14 - 22ish and human beings tend to do the social thing once or twice.

What is your eye color? Hazel! Looks brown but up close you can see there's a lot of green around my pupils, too.

Scary movies or happy endings? My media diet is heavily skewed towards happy endings but every now and then, nothing satisfies like a good tragedy.

Any talents? People know I like the writing thing! I'm also learning to draw now and picking up guitar again for the first time since before uni!

Where were you born? A hospital about... 30 - 40 minutes away from me? I don't live in that city anymore, and haven't since I was 3, but we stayed in the same general province!

What are your hobbies? Writing, drawing, guitar, going for bike rides or walks. Geeking out by myself or with friends! I'm also starting to learn some German and pick up a few more cooking skills.

Do you have any pets? Nah, wish I did. My living situation doesn't allow for it. But my dad has a dog who I love so much and get to visit! And my sister has two cats who used to live with us that are excellent cuddlers.

How tall are you? Uhhhhh I think 5'11? To use ancient Tumblr Lingo: Tol, not smol

Favorite subject in school? In Elementary - Middle School, it was English, because reading and writing. In high school, Psychology, Legal Studies, Guitars, History, or Writer's Craft

Dream job? Cool question, I'mma over-complicate it! For my career, it's either one of two things: Creative and/or helping people. Add another axis onto that: Stability vs. freedom. I like stability. It helps me feel happy and builds self-esteem to build stuff up. So since most of the creative jobs I'd be down to try have a lack of stability (and often crappy working conditions), I decided to start with stability and helping people! My current job is actually the goal I set for myself to get into in 5 - 10 years. So. Whoops! Got in early! I can't stay beyond this year (covering a mat leave) but wow has it been good experience. And it's cool shit that I like to think supports people in building something good for themselves.

Not a ton of creativity though, and so what's cool about life is that the time horizon isn't just right now, forever. The job I'm in now is a dream job of mine based on the criteria I set out (stable, treats me right, and helps people), but I have other dream jobs I'd like to also try out!

For example: I'd like to become a published author! And I'd also like to learn storyboarding to maybe try being a storyboards artist someday, or some job in animation.

What I like about the job I have now, too, is that I still have enough energy in and around my job to have a life outside of it. So I can build the creative skills that'll lead to cool stuff and opportunities down the line.

Having multiple dream jobs I think is realistic. And just kinda fun to not only achieve one thing, but look forward to what else I can do!

On April 14th, 2021, I announced what was supposed to be a simple 20 minute review of one of the most polarizing movies I’ve ever seen in my life, and in doing so, invited my new friend @digikate813 to be a part of it. Little did I know this would become the longest and most exhausting project I’d ever work on. ESPECIALLY after Dear Evan Hansen took over my personality and turned me into the angriest asshole on the planet. Lol what I didn’t expect upon finishing the script for The Greatest Showman was that this would turn out to be less of a review and more of an exploration of myself and my past memories. This might actually be my favorite video that I’ve ever worked on, and getting to have done so with a close friend only makes this video even better. I cannot recommend this video enough for everyone who’s ever been influenced by a horrible and toxic person whom you tried to aspire to be like. Thank you and I’ll see you on the wasteland.

I’m staying as safe as I can while working in the public sector. I walk to work and jog half the way then walk the rest of the way back to avoid public transport. I wash my hands a lot and social distance from everyone outside my house.

Before Covid, I had two jobs. One in a Before and After School Club and one in a nursery. After the schools reopened, I wasn’t allowed to work in both jobs because of the bubble system so now I only have one job. My hours at the nusery increased slightly but I’m still down almost 11 hours a week. That said, I’m glad I still have a job and I’ll do what it takes to keep everyone safe.

This might be a long shot, but you look like the source ot ask. I'm looking for a fic where John decides that he and Sherlock should have never met. Resulting in just that. A time where he never loses his limp, he almost gets married to Sarah, and he is very unsatisfied. Eventually going to look for Sherlock, who he finds at Baker Street on drugs. Mycroft may have also made it possible for this to happen. That is all I remember about it. Any ideas? Thanks so much

I absolutely love it, and it fills a void that was left when Gravity Falls ended (which i guess isn’t a surprise considering who is working on it). The humor, animation, environment, world, characters are all really great, and I’m excited to see where the show goes! It’s already doing an excellent job about building the lore around the world and the characters.

It might be out of nowhere, but I found this out and thought it was pretty cool. I stumbled across what looks like a sort of comedy album for Sherlock Holmes called "The Tale of the Giant Rat of Sumatra" that also gives their pseudo Holmes character the name "Hemlock Stones". This might be odd to mention, but when I saw it I thought it was an interesting coincidence. The more you know!

I actually found out about that after I came up with the name, it was very amusing to me to find out, heh!

If I can ask about the Robot!Fenton AU, there's something I've been curious about. Assuming "Beware the BUDDY System" plays out the same way it did in canon, how does Fenton react when Launchpad keeps calling him a robot? Does he think for a second that his cover is blown?

That’s a good question. and yes, there is a split second the first time Launchpad calls him a robot that Fenton thinks his cover has been blown. then he realizes what he means thankfully.

I swear this dude must’ve been the gateway drug to me being drawn to characters who simultaneously have charm/hardcore bad@$$ and also a dork/loser in different aspects. Everybody was looking at boybands, movie princes or bishie dudes, but nooo; i had to be all crazy for mr. “listen to my music, watch me dance and flirt.” ….

side-note: did i ever mention the time I said that he and jet the hawk looked bizarrely similar?

Merry Christmas from the one part of the country that isn't experiencing record breaking cold!

Most of my haul this year was candy, my fault for telling everyone that's what I wanted.

My sister in law crocheted me some little sushi charms, and I got a new LEGO set.

Speaking of LEGO, @digikate813 got me these awesome Ninjago stickers! I am so impressed, I can't find Ninjago fan merch anywhere! Also an awesome Gravity Falls charm and coin!

Something to keep in mind about the Toy Fair reveals, is that a lot of them are probably prototypes. They could be the final designs, but they could also be works in progress (which might be why Bill's eye is yellow and why Dipper wasn't ready for display). So if they look weird (and some of them kind of do), there is a chance that there will be changes when they officially hit store shelves. These events are just to show that they are being made. Just something to remember.

*nods*  This is an excellent point.  We don’t even know yet when any of these are supposed to come out. It could be later in the year, and so they were trying to get something ready to show in time for ToyFair, but there’s still a while before they’re released and there’s plenty of time to fix things.

(Bill’s yellow eye makes me wonder if that might be the mini-mini plush, and thus have something to do with how small that thing will be?  But yeah, it could be just a prototype.)
