Writing prompt dream I had this morning

When you're a little sick today, and you have a digimon dream. That's what happened this morning.

Based with the Digimon Adventure 01/02 group. Looked like they were hanging around to have a meal together or make a meal together? Half were there and other half wasn't there yet.

What I remember: Taichi (Tai), Yamato (Matt), Mimi, and Koshiro (Izzy) were the ones already there, and the other 4 of the first team hadn't arrived yet. We also include another character who may have been included story-wise as another member of the team (OC/Reader).

This is when everyone is either finding out that Yamato and Sora have started dating, or they've been dating for a little while at this point. (OC/Reader) is a little sad but trying to hide it because she also liked Yamato, but she can see that he's happy with Sora and that everyone appears happy that they're together, so she's trying to keep that hidden and get over her feelings in secret. I think maybe Mimi may know about (OC/Reader)'s feelings about Yamato, but since she appears ok with everything, she's not bringing it up or talking to her about it. Plus Mimi is happy Sora is looking happy and in love.

Reader goes off to grab a few more ingredients while the others are talking, and takes time to put herself "back together"/prepare to see her crush with his girlfriend (her 2 friends). She goes back and shortly after the other 4 arrive.

Now, this can lead to stuff like a Taichi/(OC/Reader) pairing later on. It could also (one day in the future) have Yamato and Sora breaking up (mutually or one instigates it) and Yamato later developing feelings for (OC/Reader) and them dating.

What I don't remember: (OC/Reader)'s part in the team, Crest, "role" in the group, partner digimon, etc. That can be up to anyone to decide.

Tossing this on here in case I want to revisit it one day or see if someone else wants to use the prompt. Just credit me for the base idea, please, if you do use it.

How about a Reader who is just Done™️ with everything and is (usually) a shut-in but their parents said “Aight, you’re going on your Pokemon Trainer / Digidestined / Naruto / whatever’s popular hero’s journey and you’re gonna like it!” and practically forced Reader onto the Astral Express. You’d be forgiven for thinking Reader was a Self-Annihilator but nah they’re just Tired™️ in the same way a grumpy cat is Tired™️ and that translates quite hilariously into their experiences.

Arrest warrant on Jarilo-VI?

Reader: “So, let me make sure I understand this clearly… We’re being arrested under suspicion of plotting to incite rebellion?”

Bronya: “That is correct.”

(Note: the presence of the Stellaron wasn’t known to the public at this time)

Cue Reader pulling out their phone and blasting at full volume a recording of the crew’s earlier meeting with Cocolia, meaning everyone in the area — guards, civilians, shopkeepers, Serval’s workshop — ends up hearing the whole conversation, from Cocolia’s greeting to the crew’s footsteps leaving the office (and March’s chatter about sightseeing); so everyone there, not just Bronya and the guards, is a witness.

Bronya: “Th— This wasn’t what was reported…!?”

Guard no.1: “What’s a Stellaron…?”

Guard no.2: “No idea, never heard of it.”

Reader: “As you have seen, and heard, your quote-on-quote ‘Supreme Guardian’ gave you orders based on false information. At no point did we ever threaten to undermine the authority of Belobog’s government. We have nothing to gain from taking over a city on a literally dying planet. All we did was promise to get rid of the Stellaron for Belobog’s safety but, it seems like she never intended to treat us like guests in the first place.” 😑

And after Cocolia is defeated—

March: “Time to celebrate—!”

Reader: “A mother’s death right in front of her grieving daughter?”

March: 🥶

Trailblazer: ☠️

Dan Heng: 🙂‍↕️

Reader: “You could at least wait until we’re out of earshot.”

Questioned by Yukong on the Luofu?

Reader: “I honestly don’t know what to tell you, ma’am, we heard there was a Stellaron on your ship and I, personally, got kicked out of the train to go with these guys. I just wanna hole up in my room and play video games.” 😞

Trailblazer: “But you haven’t even touched your dailies?”

March: “Yeah, all you do is lie in bed and sleep!”

First time hearing about the Disciples of Sanctus Medicus?

Reader: “…I’m going to be real with you, that just sounds like a creepy cult getting together under a medical con artist.”

Jing Yuan: 😅 “They do call themselves ‘the Disciples.’”

Reader: “And the ones who came before you actually fell for the scam.”

Jing Yuan: 🫠 “Unfortunately, they did…”

Reader: “And they even took your life insurance, in a way, and the life insurance of future generations.”

Welt: 🙂‍↕️ “You don’t need to rub it in.”

Heliobus breakout?

Trailblazer: “Hey.”

Reader: “No.”

Trailblazer: “? I haven’t said anything yet.”

Reader: “My answer is still no… Wait, why am I in a group chat with random numbers—”

Guinaifen: “Hiiiiiii~!”

Reader: “Oh no.”

Guinaifen: “WHATAYA MEAN ‘OH NO’ I’M THE LIFE OF THE PARTY” 💢

Plus the fact that Reader’s ‘negative’ energy has rubbed off enough on Yanqing that when Apyra (a heliobus) offers to teach him sword-training instead of Jing Yuan, Yanqing actually refuses (compared to canon).

Yanqing: 😑 “Sounds like a bunch of lazy amateurs getting together under a con artist.” (Now why does this sound familiar…)

They’re also kind of listening to Sunday not because of his pathos speech and trauma, but because “every day should be a Sunday.”

Reader: “I don’t know about you but my Sundays were stressful deadlines.”

Sunday: “Then stress no more, for your Sundays will now consist of lying in a fluffy bed with plushies while watching your favorite shows and playing video games~!”

Reader: 👀 “Let him cook—!”

Sunday: 😀???????? (Cooking? But, there’s no kitchen here…?) <- does not know internet slang

How does Firefly wake up Reader from Ena’s dream over Penacony?

Blade: “Put me on the phone.”

Firefly puts him on the call.

Blade: “You have assignments due tonight.”

Reader: 😱 *Scrambling out of bed* “NONONONONONONONONONONO WHERE THE FUCK IS MY LAPTOP—!!!” Pause. “I’m not even working anymore…?”

Firefly: 😀 “Wow, that was fast…!”

Blade: “You’re welcome.” *hangs up*

Reader: 😑💢

Firefly: 😅 “Sorry, but this is really important—!”

Crash-landing on Amphoreus?

Reader: “Why not just ask for directions instead of automatically pulling out weapons?” *taps on a Titankin’s shoulder* “S’cuse me, can you tell us where the nearest city is? We’re kind of lost.”

Titankin: “Oh yeah, Okhema should be close by, so you want to go through that giant temple over there in front of us, it should have a back door and from there you need to take a right turn—”

Phainon, watching from a distance like a confused puppy: 😀 “That actually worked…?”

Tribbie: “I can’t tell if they’re crazy, or if they’re too lazy to pick up a sword.” 😅 <- she hit it on the nail with the second guess

And Aglaea? She can sense how tired and listless Reader is. They don’t want glory. They don’t want power. They don’t give a rat’s ass about making a name for themself. They just want to get this mission done and be on their merry way.

And if sheer lack of energy through the golden threads is anything to go by, there is practically nothing going on in Reader’s head other than the cute chimeras.

Aglaea, about to start her life-or-death interrogation of the crew: 🙂‍↕️ (I am so sorry for what I am about to do…)

[Several hours later]

Phainon: “…How long have they been sleeping?”

Trailblazer: “Uhhhhhh twelve hours, I think?”

Dan Heng: “It’s not healthy, but it’s pretty normal.”

Phainon: “Did they even have something to eat yet? I don’t think I ever saw them with a plate. Or a fruit.”

Dan Heng: “…Now that you mention it, I almost never saw them in the kitchen, and the most they had at group dinners was fried rice and water.”

Tribbie: “Well I agree that this isn’t healthy and it should not be normal!”

Cue Tribbie yanking off the blankets and putting Reader in different areas of work and group activities. “You need sunlight! And exercise! And food!” and all that fun stuff.

Then Hyacine makes an appearance and Aglaea and Tribbie shove Reader her way.

Hyacine, after listening to Dan Heng and the Trailblazer about Reader: “Hm… Sounds like they’re still caught in that mindset of being stagnant. They’ve hit a dead end with their life back home and never reached that sense of fulfillment, so they kind of decided to throw in the towel. I think what they really need is something they can actually enjoy engaging in.”

Trailblazer: “They did enjoy the e-sports Mr. Yang would set up every week, but we have no connection here.” 😞

Dan Heng: “How about cooking? They send me cooking videos every now and then.”

Trailblazer: “…They send YOU cooking videos, and never me or March!?” 😭

(Dan Heng just has that quiet friend energy where he and Reader can just yap in the chat about nerdy and/or domestic things, lol.)

And it works.

Kind of.

Reader makes a whole batch of dishes and desserts that everybody likes, but still seems pretty listless.

Up until Mydei give not only a critique but also some encouragement and solid advice for improvement.

Then they really get into it.

They also do really well working with the chimeras.

After that, Reader starts waking up on time and immediately gets to work (with something they actually enjoy doing).

Imagine the rest of the crew’s reactions.

Welt: 😭 “Miss Hyacine, you’re a miracle worker.”

Hyacine: 😊 “Just doing my part to get more people to smile~”

And then Hyacine will probably suffer a horrific fate thanks to the prophecy and Reader might go back to being listless — we won’t know until 3.X releases tho

Okay okay you’re giving me life with this character concept—Reader is peak millennial/gen z burnout with a dash of “grumpy cat stuck on a road trip with overly enthusiastic NPCs” energy and I love them so much. They’re literally the only sane person surrounded by chaos and myth and Aeons and world-ending prophecies and they’re like, “Yeah okay but I haven’t slept in three days and I don’t get paid for this.”

The Astral Express crew must feel like they picked up a gremlin they’re now emotionally attached to despite all common sense.

March: “You’ve got main character energy!” Reader, wrapped in a burrito blanket on the train couch: “Yeah, and main character depression.”

Also? That Jarilo-VI scene with Bronya and the phone audio absolutely killed me. Reader weaponizing the group chat receipts like a warlock casting Sending is so iconic. I can literally see Bronya's face glitching in real time. Reader’s like if you gave a Gen Z gremlin a tactical nuke and a smartphone.

And the Penacony bit? The way Firefly had to resort to Blade for waking Reader is both terrifying and hilarious. Blade having to pull the “you have homework” card is so on brand—he knows what works.

And the fact that Aglaea literally hesitates to attack because Reader is just That Burnt Out™?? This is such a good dynamic, because instead of challenging her with equal fire, Reader challenges her whole perspective just by being this inexplicably apathetic—but strangely kind—person who isn't trying to win anything. They’re just... here. And she's so thrown off by that. Like, “you’re not begging for your life?” and Reader’s like “bro I haven’t had eight uninterrupted hours of sleep in two years. I welcome the void.”

Tribbie being the chaotic friend who decides to forcibly nurse Reader back to health had me wheezing. Just her screaming “YOU NEED VITAMINS” while Reader gets dragged into a salad-making team-building exercise.

And then Hyacine stepping in with the insight and encouragement??? And the little spark finally coming back to Reader through something as simple and genuine as feedback on their food?? That’s... unironically beautiful. Like—Reader might still be tired, but now they’ve got this little light. Something to focus on. Something theirs. That’s some Studio Ghibli-tier healing arc.

Reader is relatable, funny, tragic, and kind of powerful in a weirdly grounded way.

Its not a lot, but with chapter one almost finished I figured I'd give readers a small set up for the story to come. Criticizm is welcome but i as you be a little gentle as this is my first public fic.

The Digital World was experiencing the longest period of peace that it has ever know, but it was only a matter of time before something happened. Having a strong connection to the Human World has proven to be quite beneficial as it has increased and helped maintain the flow of raw data to prevent it from becoming corrupted. However, there have been some Digimon that view humans as pests that should be exterminated and one such Digimon had just tried to force open a Digital Gate.

“Trying something like this close to the Village of Beginning?” A large lion-like humanoid Digimon with black and gold garments inquired. “Surely even you Demon Lords should know that is a very bad idea, Barbamon.”

“Bancholeomon!” Barbamon exclaimed as he raised his staff in defense. “What happened to mourning the loss of your human pet?”

“Protecting his home is the best way to honor his memory.” Bancholeomon claimed as he moved closer to the Demon Lord Digimon. “Though now I want to know how you became aware of an idle Digital Gate.”

Despite having once been one of the strongest demon type Digimon to ever live, Barbamon knew he couldn’t take one of the five Guardian Digimon in his current state. Not wanting to risk being deleted, the Demon Lord quickly dispersed into a cloud of dark energy and faded away.

“Why let him escape?” A low yet commanding voice asked from behind Bancholeomon.

“I could ask you the same thing.” The Beast Man Digimon noted as he turned around to face a Digimon far larger than himself. “What do you want Alphamon?”

“Ensuring this gate remains closed.” The black knight Digimon stated as he walked past Bancholeomon. “Until the next Digidestined are called upon.”

“You believe the Demon Lords pose a threat?” Bancholeomon questioned while keeping a sharp gaze on the knight.

“Not in their current state, no.” Alphamon confirmed as he surveyed the area. “But, Norn is certain that Drasil will make his move soon, and use the Demon Lords as pawns.”

Norn, Goddess of the Digital World, and once part of the old supercomputer Yggdrasil was kind and fair, but Drasil, the other half of Yggdrasil, had gone into hiding after the supercomputer was destroyed by the previous Digidestined. The thought of such a dangerous enemy returning was enough to make Bancholeomon growl.

“Good luck convincing the others of that.” The lion Digimon stated as he tapped his claws on his arm. “Even if that does happen, there is no guarantee that those new Digidestined will arrive in time to stop it.”

In that moment a soft harmonic sound filled the air. At first it sounded like the melody that manifested when a Digimon Digivolved, but it became far more grand and orchestral as it went on. This melody was heard all across the Digital World and caught the attention of every Digimon, both good and bad.

“A new era of the Digital World is set to begin.” Alphamon declared as he opened a personal Digital Gate. “The other Guardian Digimon may be more open to listening now.”

“Perhaps.” Bancholeomon partly agreed as he turned his gaze to the sky. “If you manage to find Imperialdramon, tell him to visit sometime.”

“Of course.” Alphamon nodded before he stepped through the gate. “You are not the only one who is curious as to what he has been doing recently.”

With that the black knight vanished just as quickly as he had appeared with the Digital Gate closed behind him. Bancholeomon still kept his eyes on the sky above him and began counting.

The wind began to pick up speed and strength

Four points of light fell out the the gate and began spreading out across the forest.

“Welcome home kids.” Bancholeomon said proudly. “Though I suppose you aren’t children anymore.”

With that the Beast Man Digimon turned back towards the Village of Beginning as he had to prepare for a few guests who would be arriving soon.

Freddy Fazvibes (Sex Shop AU)

William accepts and admits that he has some unresolved issues between himself and Henry, and decides to open a sex shop after learning he's a furry and it makes him quite happy. The shop -- technically still under the Fazbear brand (Henry is happy for his friend but thoroughly confused) -- features character mascots and lines of toys based on the parent company alongside an up-and-coming VR system to allow people to experience the company (sexual or otherwise) of their favorite characters!

The reader is just one of many customers after discovering the niche but passionate community the store and its characters have. It's bad enough that it's a sex shop with sex toys; how are they going to handle having their favorite character offer to demonstrate using one of them?

No deaths occur in this AU, it's just some good wholesome fun (as wholesome as a sex shop can get) where we don't need to worry about why the animatronics have genitals.

Digimon AU

The reader was supposed to be a member of their generation’s digidestined, but the others were killed by a mysterious power in the digital world many years before the present day. The reader discovers this information as an adult after being pulled into the digital world by a mysterious masked puppet creature who seems to know all too much about them. Trapped, they learn that their two digimon partners (Sun and Moon) had been waiting for them all that time; waiting for their human partner that never showed up when the digital world needed them most.

The reader finds themselves battling through not only their own tentative connection with the digital world as an adult, but also with their own partner as Moon has all but rejected them due to trust and corruption issues. Can the reader heal Sun and Moon's pain, regain their trust, and manage to save the corrupted souls of the other digidestined before the digital world falls apart at the seams?

And who could this mysterious evil force even be?

Borderlands AU

Sun is a prototype of a new line of caretaker bots designed by Hyperion to serve multiple domestic roles for people rich enough to afford them. The spaceship housing him during his live beta-testing experiences an unknown error and crashes on Pandora, where the reader (an ex-Hyperion employee) rescues him from the wreckage.

Things grow even more confusing when Sun realizes that he has a second personality onboard his processors, one that the reader had inadvertently helped to create when they worked for Hyperion: Moon, a military security protocol, and the true reason that the ship had gone down over Pandora. How will Sun deal with learning that his abandonment was part of the testing -- and what will he, Moon, and the reader do when they learn about the ECLIPSE protocol?

Livestreamer / Vtuber AU

After saving them from the Pizzaplex ruins, the reader helps Sun, Moon and the newly-formed Eclipse settle into day-to-day domestic life with them. Though the reader assures that they don't need to, the three search for ways to help pay bills -- keeping them charged has tripled the electric bill alone. So, unbeknownst to the reader at first, the trio take up being a vtuber, quickly becoming quite popular for their unique avatars (which is literally just them rendered into a live2d model) and wide variety of streamed content.

They all play all sorts of videogames, but Eclipse has become very popular for drawing furry art while Moon's realized that people really like his voice in ASMR content. Before they know it, they're able to help pay the reader's bills and beyond, leaving their amused and surprised caretaker to support both their newfound hobby and try desperately to ignore how the twitch chat is always asking if they're dating.

Stardew Valley AU

After the reader's grandfather passes away, they learn that he had left them an entire farm to care for as they liked. An entire plot of land beside a whole new town of people to meet, including the enigmatic trio of automatons powered by forest magic, and are apparently as old if not older than the town itself.

Sun is sweet as can be and helps tutor Jaz and Vincent alongside Penny, while Eclipse is a very soft-spoken personality who you're certain has been heavily damaged at some point (but he's often too busy tending to the community gardens to care). There is a third automaton, but he's only active after sunset -- some townfolk call him a demon and a menace, while others seem to find his pranks quite endearing. Moon is... an enigmatic figure, and it will take some time to get to know him properly.

Color of Your Eyes AU

The reader is just another employee of Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex, far from friends and family that they barely remember after moving away several years ago. They work a normal job in the daycare with a normal apartment and go to a normal doctor about normal symptoms of a chronic illness they've been dealing with since they were little -- or so they're told.

Is it all actually normal? Are they human, or are they... something else? Surely not, else it would mean their entire life is nothing more than a lie, a fabrication.

This is an AU about the reader learning they are actually a humanoid animatronic and that everything in their life -- their background, their parents, their memories -- are just that. A lie. They have been the property and research subject of Fazco's R&D division the entire time.

But at least they have Sun and Moon to help them understand not how to be human, but how to be a person again.

Older Takaishi Takeru x Male Reader

Takeru, wasn’t the best with self preservation.

Always rushing head first, no matter how dangerous it was. Takeru would rush head in to stop an evil digimon from destroying something or someone.

Even if that meant putting himself in front of the attack. It didn’t matter to Takeru, no matter how bad the injury was.

A bruise, a cut, a gash, sprained something, maybe even broken.

It didn’t matter to Takeru, as long as someone was safe. When it can to his friends, Takeru could jump off a cliff if it meant they were safe.

Takeru cared about his friends more than anything, he shares that with his brother.

Takeru wouldn't let anything hurt his friends or the world, both worlds.

Especially darkness, Takeru wouldn’t let the powers of darkness hurt anything.

That’s part of what made Takeru himself. Takeru doesn’t care about himself, as long as his friends, family and other people are fine.

Though, Takeru’s not really fighting as much as he did in the past.

With Digital disasters on the low and new Digidestined fighting, Takeru spends most of his days not fighting.

But, that low self preservation is still there. Which is why you are now watching Takeru puke into the toilet.

“What happened?” You asked for the fourth time. Takeru was too busy throwing up to respond the previous times.

Takeru leaned up slightly, “I don’t know”, Takeru rasped. Voice rough from puking for a good few minutes.

You walked further into the bathroom. Leaning down to grab a tea towel from under the sink.

You then kneeled down to Takeru. You tilted Takeru’s head towards you and started to wipe his face off.

Takeru closed his eyes, leaning into your hand. Eventually leaning so far that he fell onto your shoulder.

You stumbled back, now sitting on your butt with Takeru in your lap. You wrapped an arm around Takeru and looked at his face.

Takeru’s face was noticeably red.

His eyes were closed and he was panting slightly. You furrowed your brows, what the hell happened?

Obviously something happened, even if Takeru didn’t know. You had come home after a shift at work to find Takeru in the bathroom throwing up.

Takeru was obviously sick, but how did this happen?

Takeru was tired, red, puking, and who knows what else. You pushed Takeru up, making him open his eyes and sit up straight.

Even though Takeru was swaying back and forth. “What were you doing today?” You asked, making sure Takeru wouldn’t fall before getting up.

“I was working on my novel since you left”, Takeru mumbled. Leaning back on his hand while covering his face with the other.

You sighed, that’s what Takeru’s been doing for the past week. It wasn’t healthy.

Takeru tended to ignore everything when he was writing. His sleep, food, water, bathing, it was a problem.

“You need help, you need to take more brakes”, you said. Throwing the dirty tea towel in the trash and grabbing a new one from under the sink.

You heard Takeru groan as you turned on the water. You soaked the new tea towel in the water.

You then squeezed the towel to remove the extra water. You sat back down on the floor, “come here”, you said.

Takeru scooted closer to you. You then grabbed Takeru and turned him around. So his back was to your chest.

You then started to remove Takeru’s shirt. As you did this Takeru kept moving, trying to find a comfortable way to lay.

Soon Takeru relaxed just as you got his shirt unbuttoned. You immediately noticed Takeru's chest was red.

You ran your hand over Takeru’s chest. Takeru let out a moan, your colder hands feeling nice on his hot skin.

Too hot skin, Takeru’s normally tan skin was pink instead. You then started to move the towel over Takeru’s skin.

Takeru moaned again, letting out a sigh as he let his head rest against your shoulder.

You paid attention, maybe too much attention to Takeru’s chest.

Noticing the water stick to his skin. You moved the towel up and down Takeru’s chest.

Noticing that Takeru seemed to be vocal when you went over his nipples.

You could hear every sound that Takeru made, his mouth right next to your ear.

You rubbed Takeru’s nipples more than you needed to just to hear Takeru moan. The buds now stiff and red, redder than his chest.

“Mmm, thank you Y/n”, Takeru whispered. You hummed, too focused on Takeru’s chest.

Takeru’s chest was covered in scars. Some small, some big, all from his adventures in the Digital World and more.

They were all over, under Takeru’s arms, over his chest, on his abs, even some covered by Takeru’s shorts.

You found yourself wanting to pull Takeru’s shorts down, to trace the scars there like you were doing with the ones you could see.

Takeru also had slight abs, not a lot, but not a little either. Takeru’s moans weren’t helping.

The crush you had on Takeru since you were both children probably wasn’t helping either.

You could feel Takeru’s heart beat, it was slower than yours, anyone's heart beat could be slower than yours.

Your face was now as red as Takeru’s chest was a few minutes ago.

You could also feel Takeru’s hands gripping your pants, he was getting more fidgety.

Moving around at the slightest touch to his chest. “Stop squirming”, you said. Moving your arm to hold Takeru still by his waist.

Takeru turned his head towards you, “mmmm, I like this, thank you Y/n, I like you”, Takeru mumbled the last part. But you heard it.

You stopped moving the tea towel across Takeru’s chest. Takeru was feverish, he was tired and out of his mind.

You dropped the tea towel and moved your other arm, resting your hand right over Takeru’s heart.

His heart was also beating out of his chest. You slowly moved your hand down Takeru’s chest, letting your heart think before your mind.

Or letting your lust think first.

You moved your hand to Takeru’s shorts, slowly pulling down the waist band. “You’re sick, can’t think straight’, you said.

You had to pay attention. Takeru was delirious, plus, he didn't even like guys, much less you, his best friend.

You pulled Takeru's shorts down further, watching as the scar that was once hidden by Takeru’s shorts were revealed.

“I know what I want though, have for years”, you froze at Takeru’s words.

You waited for more, an explanation, just to see that Takeru had fallen asleep. You pulled your hand back and took a deep breath.

Maybe you were starting to get a bit sick. You don’t normally act like this. You’re great at hiding your feelings.

But it looks like it was getting a bit too much.

You slowly stood up, slowly moving Takeru so you were carrying him like a child.

Takeru draped his hands over your shoulder, his head resting on your chest.

You walked towards the bedroom, trying to keep your mind and gaze off Takeru’s chest.

You laid Takeru on his bed and covered him up. Takeru shifted for a bit before fully falling asleep again.

You kneeled down and sighed, you’d have to tell Takeru about his working problems, and what he said.

You leaned forward and kissed Takeru’s forehead, trying to ignore the fact your hand was going down Takeru’s chest to feel his heart beat.

You pulled away slightly, taking your hand out from under the covers. “I like you too, Takeru”, you whispered.

When you pulled away Takeru smiled in his sleep before his face went neutral. You stood up, trying to get your heart to beat normally.

You turned around and walked out of Takeru’s room. You then sat down on the couch before laying on it.

You tried to get some rest, it was late and you worked around today.

Yet you couldn’t stop thinking about Takeru. His addictive moans, his chest, just himself.

Maybe moving into an apartment with your childhood best friend and crush wasn’t the best idea.

Though, if you got to interact with Takeru and see him like that again, and if he liked you back.

It wasn’t so bad.

All this goes out the window when Apocalymon drags you into distortion on your way home one day with a pizza box in your arms. Soon, quiet nights after classes become a routine of visiting the lonely Digimon, rediscovering with them just how much of life you've been forgetting to live.

There's just the matter regarding their species-type, of course. Between the Digidestined that impose themselves in your life to interrogate Apocalymon and those that would use them as a tool, it's going to be an eventful semester.

I am suddenly picturing a crossover au of this au where the reader is digidestined and used to digital shenanigans. Initially, assuming the circus crew were rogue digimon sic their partner, a tentomon named Isaac, on them scaring the daylights out of poor Ragatha and the rest is history.

Hello everyone, Mage of Light Nick Card here. The holidays are approaching fast, the news is approaching faster!

On sunday night, the caroling band of jinglorian pilgrims arrived in New Charcherry town! With their traditional songs hanging on the wind, they brought in the traditional hugelarge redistro tree, which is now erected in its usual spot in the center of charcherry square.

In other news, Santa's backup Coleman has begun performing both chair duty and workshop duty, with the aid of a number of magical duplicates. However, someone still needs to be vetted and approved to take up the redistro route itself. A certain reader suggested that a certain alternate version of a certain someone could possibly be assigned to the job for the sake of punishment/penance, but there is doubt on this candidate being fit for the job, due to their history, and their prime version's inability to care for a child properly. Proper vetting would be needed before any decisions are to be made on the matter, especially since they have not been seen since being brought into custody of a certain powerful figure.

On monday, Digidestined Rogue of Heart Charles began scouting for a potential campsite to camp with their digimon companion. What he found was almost difficult to believe. Embedded in the sheer rock cliffside of Mt. Phoenix was a train station! Reportedly it appeared as if it belonged to the london underground train system, despite being very far away from such a place. The North Charcherry station was closed that day, but a website, and later a contact handle was found for more information. It was decided that a party would investigate it further on thursday, to be sure of its nature and safety rating.

On Wednesday, Prince of Time Aeons Edgeworth reportedly wrote a letter to santa, wishing for Mage of Life Blaze to be returned for the holiday season. This letter promptly disappeared from the mail system, apparently by a divine act. Aeons claims that 12 hours after the incident, they had heard the voice of Arceus tell them "December 24th". This is unable to be confirmed, but they are adamant about this claim. I can only hope that it's true and not just a cruel prank.

On the same day, multiple region champion Brae Emit disembarked for the Paldea region once again, to participate in an exchange student program to send her to the Unova region. This appears to match up with the recent release of the Indigo Disc DLC on the same day. She has been keeping in contact with the group during this time.

On Thursday, Maid of Void Skitis decided to scout ahead and catch a train from North Charcherry station. She wound up locating Stratford station, which had been largely iced over due to a potentially specialized dungeon core. After sending a series of messages to the group, a party was formed to begin the investigation in earnest. Included in this party was Charles, Heir of Time Thoren Emit, their sister Prince of Time Flux Emit, bounty hunter Samus Kitten, and half-dialga BLAZE. They traveled multiple lines in order to get to Stratford, witnessing numerous types of trains and visiting a handful of stations, all strewn across the void, only stabilized by documentation. Unfortunately, much of the station names are a blur to me and I'd have to check the maps and lists to see the routes that the party took. At one point, the party had to be pried out of a locked up train, after something blew up on it. The driver, who reportedly looked very much like a human version of Skitis, managed to get the party out of there with minimal injury. Eventually the party made it to the perilous maze of Stratford station, surrounded by ice and water. They made their way to the DLR platforms and after almost getting ran over (key word almost), they continued onwards, to the source of the frost. Skitis was located with a number of unconscious staff members. upon rejoining the party, Skitis used a void technique to contain any collateral damage from the move that BLAZE performed on the dungeon core. They wound up using Roar of Time, obliterating the core from that time. It can only be assumed that the core is now very far away from where it once was, as a result of the twisted timespace structure of the furthest ring. It is unknown if the core is intact or not however. BLAZE did wind up growing a sizable spike from their back as a result. With the core's removal, focus was placed on assisting the staff members with recovery. Hot food, hot drinks, and warm clothing was distributed, and a direct service line was set up to get the party back to North Charcherry. Upon arriving back at the home station, the party met up with PKMN breeder HAZEL, and Hotel refugee Jezo, having arrived from two different distant dimensional train routes. There are plans to formalize a walkable route to North Charcherry station, as it is currently far away from all known roads. Desertian President Katyleen Kitten has also been put in contact with those in charge of the railroad, though it remains to be seen what will happen next, especially knowing that voidco also uses these train routes for their own purposes too. The direct line is as follows: Brookford - Charcherry North - Tattenham - Stratford Reportedly, a train arrives once per hour, all day long.

As the week has continued on, the chao club has been taking care of their chao babies, but have voiced concern about the lack of available chao-native fruit beyond circle fruit. Flux Emit has managed to request Stardew Valley Ancient fruit from denizen Euphrosyne, wanting to offer various fruits to her chao, Jubi. I do wonder what an ancient fruit is supposed to taste like and what it would take to grow one. Your dear newsletter writer has never played stardew valley, so this fruit is largely unknown to me. Reportedly, Page of Darkness Dylan has not only obtained a chao (named Shortstop), but is trying way too hard to make them evil. There are even reports that he ordered a shipment of dark fruit, though it is unknown where exactly it was sourced from. Meanwhile, former US president Chaos Barack Obama has sent out a militarized group to Plit, in order to seek out a variety of chao-native fruits in the kingdom of Penderland, for his beloved chao, Chabo. I do wonder what sorts of pokeberries most chao would be interested in, as those tend to be a lot easier to come by.

I also will say, as a dub defender, that the dub isn’t actually as bad as “fan fiction” but is definitely “fox kids” in tone. So if you are a slow reader or ADHD or otherwise need an English dub as an option you’re not getting a sub par experience, or it being a completely different story or anything. There are just gonna be jokes squeezed in, like a working designs script from a ps1 game.

I actually prefer the dub, because the silly-to-serious whiplash of the dub rules, IMO. And the pop punk / nu metal soundtracks of 02 and Tamers really elevated it for me.

And my Japanese friend in high school said that he watched Digimon in Japan and thought it was okay, but when he saw the dub he liked it twice as much, so ymmv, and I recommend giving each a shot.

But yeah, in whatever language, start with Adventure season 1, and then watch whatever you like.

And for games, the Digimon Story sub series, which arguably starts with Digimon World 3 on PSX, then are the DS games and then Cyber Sleuth, are the good ones, and all of them are an okay starting point.

The Digimon World Series (Digimon world 1, re:Digitize, and Next Order) are definitely more uniquely Digimon than some of the other games, but take some adapting to. Of the three re:Digitize is my favorite.

The rest of the games are all weird and try their own thing, for varying levels of success, and I basically only personally recommend Survive out of them.

Request - Could you do Mimi Tachikawa x male!reader where y/n is a digidestined and has 4 Digimon partners, Guilmon X, Agumon (2006), Dorumon, and Grani. Could you also make the story based on Digimon Adventure Tri. His weapons are the Yukimura, it's a long, tapered blade similar to a sword. As its name suggests, it is actually a set of three individual swords.

You are dating Mimi Tachikawa and you are happy with her. But the relationship is a secret and no one knows about it. You didn't tell your little brother Izzy about the relationship.

You look out the window and it started to rain. Mimi called you and you can tell that she is sad.

“Y/n, can you pick me up?” Mimi asked.

“Yeah, sure. Are you okay?” You asked.

“I’m still at the school, just hurry up,” Mimi said sadly.

You put on your leather jacket then the keys to your motorcycle and left. A couple of minutes later, you arrived at the school. You can see she is sad, usually, she is very happy.

“Babe?” You said.

“Can I stay at your place tonight?” Mimi asked.

“Sure,” You said.

She gets on the motorcycle and you drive to your place. Once at your place, Mimi went to take a shower and you went to pick up dinner and her favorite dessert. She comes out of the bathroom wearing your shirt. You wrap your arms around her and she hides her face on your chest.

“What happened?” You asked.

“I had a rough day at school. Some girls at school called me a narcissistic-” Mimi said sadly.

“Hey don't listen to them. They are jealous because you are smart, funny, beautiful, and have better fashion taste than them. Don't pay attention to them” You said.

“You always know what to say to cheer me up,” Mimi said.

“Hope, you are hungry because I got your favorite,” You said.

She kisses you on the lips and smiled.

“Thank you, babe. Later, we can watch a movie and cuddle?” Mimi said.

You and Mimi start to eat dinner together. She starts to vent to you and you listen and try your best to make her feel better. After dinner, you watch a movie with her and cuddle.

You didn't tell Izzy about dating Mimi and she didn't tell Sora or the others.

“I will tell him... When he comes back to Tokyo. Do you think they will be okay with it?” you said.

“Hope so,” You said.

You paid for the food and went home with Mimi. When you two arrived at your place, there is a huge mess in the kitchen and living room.

“Y/n!!” Guilmon, Agumon, and Dorumon yelled.

They jumped on you. You are struggling to breathe and Mimi laughed and took pictures. They do get off you and they are happy to see you, they have been in the digital world. You are a Digidestined just like Mimi but you have to crest of justice. You would go out in the city saving people but you wear a mask, on the news they call you ‘eyepatch’

“We missed you!” Guilmon said.

“I missed you all too. But why is there a huge mess?” You said.

“We got hungry,” Dorumon said.

Mimi laughed because of the mess they made.

“I will help you clean, babe,” Mimi said.

“Good thing we bought food,” You said and she agreed with you.

After cleaning they start to tell you about what is going on in the digital world. There are Digimon that are being infected with something that would make them hostile. Mimi sent an email to all her friends to let them know.

Every Digidestined has one Digimon as their partner, but you got four and they never experienced or known someone with 4 Digimon partners. Your partners are... Guilmon, Agumon, Dorumon, and Grani. But Grani is still in the digital world.

You and Mimi are happy to see the others. But you and Mimi still didn't tell the others about the relationship. You are not sure yet. But mostly you are happy to see your brother Izzy. Everyone is having fun at the park with their Digimon, you and the others are very far from the city and other people.

“Why are looking at Mimi a lot?” Izzy asked.

“What!? I'm not staring at her” You nervously said.

You start to look away and your brother stares at you.

“You like her?” Izzy asked.

“I don't like her and she is not my type” You lied.

“I don't believe you, y/n. But pass me a drink I'm thirsty” Izzy said.

You give him the juice and he starts to drink it.

Meicoomon a Digimon managed to escape the digital world. Meicoomon is infected and she is destroying the city. You and the others rush to the city, your Digimon evolved. You, Matt, Izzy, and Joe help people get away from Meicoomon. Meicoomon is strong and they are having a hard time-fighting Meicoomon.

“We have to figure out how to stop Meicoomon,” Mimi said.

“Thanks, y/n,” Sora said.

“Are you okay?” You asked.

“I’m fine. But are you okay? You are bleeding from your arm” Sora said.

“It does hit a little bit but I will be okay,” You said.

Meicoomon isn't alone because she had friends to help her. Your Yukimura Spears broke and you start to think quickly. Grani arrived and you are happy to see him. You get on Grani, you want to do a sneak attack on Meicoomon.

You use your next weapon IXA takes the form of a lance attached to a gun-sword handle with a spiked pommel. It is capable of piercing a digimon's body easily and expanding. While in its defensive mode it can defend against any attack.

But you don't want to kill Meicoomon, you just want to make her weak.

You were about to attack Meicoomon, but Alphamon attacked Meicoomon. Alphamon is Dorumon's Mega from, a knight coated in black armor and the leader of the Royal Knights.

WarGrowlmon and WarGreymon attacked Meicoomon. Then you and Togemon X attacked Meicoomon. everyone used their strongest attack and made Meicoomon weak. You used NarukamiIt discharges condensed.

Your cells are just like lightning bolts. Possessing a tracking function, evasion of the bolts is next to impossible. After mode change, it possesses durability sufficient to cut cleanly through anything.

You used that attack to destroy the virus inside Meicoomon.

You and Mimi are making out on your bed, suddenly you and Mimi start to hear Izzy’s voice.

“You didn't tell me he is coming over,” Mimi said.

“I didn't know! You have to hide” You said.

“What!? You can't-”

Mimi hides in the closet and you apologize to her. Izzy walked into your bedroom and you try to play it cool

“Are you okay, y/n?” Izzy asked.

“I’m fine. Just playing video games on my laptop” You lied.

Izzy noticed your laptop is closed. He was going to say something, but Mimi screamed because she thought she saw a spider. She jumps out of the closet

“Mimi, why are you in the closet?” Izzy asked.

“I thought I saw a spider” Mimi said.

He looks at you and Mimi confused.

“We just should tell him” Mimi sighed.

“Yeah, you're right. Izzy, I’m dating Mimi and we have been dating for a while. We wanted to tell everyone but we didn't know how to do it” You said.

“So, I'm the only one who knows?” Izzy asked.

“Yes,” Mimi said.

“I’m sorry I didn't tell you,” You said.

“I’m not mad but I'm surprised she is dating you” Izzy teased.

You and Izzy start to make fun of each other and Mimi just rolled her eyes at you and Izzy.

You and Mimi go to the beach in a private area to spend time together and with Palmon, Guilmon, Agumon, and Dorumon. It's the last day of the summer, you and Mimi want to have fun before winter comes. Mimi is tanning and she watches you play in the water with them.

A/N: This is a little different. It’s self-indulgent, yes, but it’s also dedicated to my fellow simps. I meant it when I said Tai has been my favorite Digimon character for years. Sometimes I hardly remember that it used to be Matt (sorry, buddy). Tai has been a big part of my life for so long, I couldn’t not simp for him on a day dedicated to Digital dreams. So I hope you’ll all forgive me while I go into fangirl mode for a little bit. <3

You kept expecting something to go wrong, especially considering all of his friends were gathered in one place, but nothing did. It was a small blessing among many others, but you were thankful for the peace of this day that allowed you to marry the love of your life.

Butterflies danced in your stomach as you paced in your dressing room, wearing a trial in the carpet as last-minute doubts flew through your mind. What if you tripped and fell? What if he didn't really want to marry you? What if he wasn't at the altar when you walked down the aisle? What if—

Matt stopped you from falling down into a hole of self-doubt as he opened the door and peeked his head in. Like the rest of the DigiDestined, he was wearing a tie that matched the color of his Crest. You had insisted on it since most of Tai's friends were either bridesmaids or groomsmen. "Ready?"

"As I'll ever be," you mumbled, following him out the door and to the chapel. 

He waited with you behind the door, his hands in his pockets as you both waited for the ceremony to begin. "You know how much he loves you, right?" he said suddenly, not looking at you. When you looked at him, you could see a smirk crossing his face. "If he won't shut up about you whenever you're apart, I'm pretty sure that means he has no intention of leaving you."

"That's your criteria?" you asked, though the thought couldn't help but make you laugh.

"Sure. Just look at him and Agumon. They rarely stop thinking about each other, and they're probably gonna be roommates forever." He nudged your shoulder. "Now Agumon will also be your problem."

The laughter was soothing, and it made you feel much better about what was to come. "Thanks, Matt."

"Anytime."

Suddenly, the music started, and the door swung open, revealing the ceremony and the man of your dreams.

You could tell by the way he was slightly bouncing on the balls of his feet that he wanted nothing more than to run over and wrap you in his arms. His eyes didn't leave your face as you walked down the aisle with Matt, and when you were finally in front of him, he was smiling so widely his eyes had practically disappeared. There was nothing but sheer, unadulterated affection in his eyes. And somehow, it made you love him more.

In all honesty, you barely remembered the ceremony. You were too busy imagining your future together with Tai (and Agumon) and all the smiles and laughter you were sure to share together. There was something magical about this day, you realized, as you stared at the man in front of you, with his orange tie and his gravity-defying hair. There was a sweetness in the air that told you every day from now on would be a dream come true.

So when the officiant told you you could kiss your new husband, you wasted no time in wrapping your arms around him.

It was a kiss filled with promise, it was full of love. But most of all, it was filled with joy, a happiness that you knew would never fade away, not so long as you had Tai Kamiya in your life.

My attempt at writing comedy for Taiora in 2018 received a review today that made my heart melt:

Writing comedy is so tricky because you never know if your sense of humour would be shared by the reader, and although this oneshot is 4 years old I hadn’t yet heard anyone use the word ‘hilarious’ to describe it and god I just feel so validated right now 😭

Not to beat my own trumpet but you have got to read that story if you thought Tri could’ve done with more comedy and wacky scenes, or just enjoy the eight digidestined sharing one braincell, or of course, love Taiora.
