the second courtney took a left to a less populated street, she knew she was screwed. the familiar frame coming out of the shadow combined with her urge to make herself invisible in the daylight was not a great combination. last time they had spoken, she might have promised she had no business in this part of the city. and yet, here she was, fingers clutching to her bag as if it was her most precious possession.  ❛ no, i didn’t. ❜  courtney had a family, a few people who cared about her but it hadn’t meant she had had an easy life. she wouldn’t give in that easily.  ❛ it’s not a lie if you assume things you wish to be true. ❜  she knew better than to try and make a run for it so she stood in front of the man, crossing her arms.  ❛ what are you doing here anyway? stalking doesn’t look good on you. i guess harassment is more your thing. ❜

I didn't realise you had moved blogs so my bad. Courtney is defintely a favourite of your OC's Id love to learn more about her. Her personality and more of her biography and story. Your writing is just spectacular.

omg anon, i'm so sorry it took me this long to get back at you but only now i got my laptop back. but this!!! is so sweet, thank you!!!

i haven't had time to move her biography to this blog or update it as it's been years since i first created courtney. she started as an affiliated oc with @kingokali but i've grown so attached to her over the years.

you can read her bio here but her story is heavy on tw such as drugs (both abuse and dealing) and domestic violence. she's the youngest of three but only really gets along with her eldest brother, anthony isn't really around. their father is part of the chicago mafia and that sets up her whole trajetory.

she used to a bubbly girl, always with a smile on her lips and so so eager to learn and go to school. as she grew up, her personality shifted to a more dark side as she lost her hope on the world and was faced with her own reality. many times she tried to confront her father but she never won any of those battles. she learnt to stick to herself, to stop daydreaming about a future that was taken from her. she also started to resent her mother for leaving and not fighting for her more. she eventually dabbles into drugs because of her brother but hiding it from him for as long as she could.

she goes to college in chicago, not being able to move away, but is able to study what she wants - journalism. however it's not easy and she isn't able to keep up with her studies as she was in high school. she takes some time off, almost dropping out for good, but eventually is able to graduate with her journalism major.

unfortunately i haven't developed her further than that in recent years but i want to!! so if anyone has characters based in chicago or crime/mafia based, lmk!!

"i don't owe you anything!" courtney has never raised her voice towards layla. ever since coming to beverly hills, she has tried her hardest to be the best person she can be. fitting in with the rich kids is easier than she imagined, as long as they don't know the real source of her family's wealth. but secrets run deep in this side of the city. and the difronzos are no different.

but layla knows her. or that's what courtney keeps telling her. she has been drawn to the keating girl since the beginning but it was at the rehab center that they became the closest. however, court's road to recovery has been a bit more difficult than she'd like to share.

"what, you think just because you've seen me at my worst i have to tell you all my deep dark secrets?" she laughs humorless. truth is layla doesn't know the worst of her life, not even close. "you don't wanna help me, fine. but don't try to stop me. it's best if you stay in your lane anyway."
