This is a relaxing sunday morning after my workout. I am now following a nutritionist's guidance due to struggling to carry on with my weightloss and putting 8lbs back on during christmas. Part of being strong is also admitting when one needs help. I am now on a day 2 of a 3 day detox diet to restart my weightloss. This journey has not been lineal at all! But what's the alternative? Giving up is not! I am now on a 1600calorie diet rather than the 1200 I was on before. This is more sustainable for me. It is a race, not a sprint! Can't wait to eat normal again as I am not enjoying the lack of protein during these three days 😤 . Has anyone done detox before? This is me trying to make a healthier version of the massaman curry. I used peanut butter powder instead of peanut butter and lower in fat coconut milk. Although the original version is more delicious, we need to try to save the calories. As it is the weekend we are allowed to have a nicer meal than during the week c:. Trying my best to stick to an eating program that provides me with enough energy to workout, grow muscle and lose fat even if it takes long. I will eat unhealthy in moderation so I do not feel deprived. It is 90% mental more than physical. My mind wants to binge, overeat and skip exercise. This is a daily struggle. I have a fat mind, I want to change. I have been exercising at 3am consistently, but my food intake has not been on point. It won't happen unless I put in the work, the weight will not come off without eating less than your body is craving for. These are my fitness goals of this year. Although my fitness journey has had highs and lows, just the fact that I am not over +200lbs is a plus for me. I intend to lose more weight and maintain it. I need to get back on track and wow get up at 3am to be able to workout before I go to work :c. This is the hardest thing I have ever done. It was easier to get up at 8am when I was doing late shift than 3am when doing mornings. But no excuses! My health is worth it :). I will increase my calories to make the most out of my weight training. Being honest, I dont want to eat low calories, I was feeling miserable eating 900-1200. I am going through a period where I want to find more joy in salads. I am trying to lower my hunger levels and I need voluminous foods to do that. I just made up this salad based on the meal I had in a healthy restaurant. I added chicken breast, roasted sliced almonds, iceberg lettuce, parsley, cucumber, half an onion and skinnyfood's chinese curry sauce. It was amazing 👏 . I love almonds and this is a way to make the most out of them. I am now focused on making a healthy lifestyle rather than weightloss. I will give myself 1 year to lose 30lbs whilst healing my relationship with food and still go out and eat tasty meals. As I was walking down the streets of long eaton I found a healthy restaurant called "avocado". I wanted to try their food. This chicken salad was lovely. The thought of "there's always a healthier version of unhealthy food that you can enjoy" helps me. And as I've been unmotivated with salads I needed to try a different approach. This is my porridge with fruit, protein powder, skinny food's syrup and muesli. I loved this meal but the main thing is that it helped me get back on track. This is my homemade pizza of the day. Made with @skinnyfoodco pizza sauce and their high protein pizza base. Delicious! To this I added chicken breast, low calorie bacon, 2 squares of the light laughing cow cheese, low calorie mozarella cheese, gherkins and olives. SO FILLING! WELL this has been one of my busiest weeks. I changed my work hours and now I need to get up at 5am to start work on time. It was a big adjustment as I used to start at 1:30pm. I was too tired to exercise, I was sleeping a lot and enjoying long naps lol. I will now plan how to incorporate exercise when my routine was heavily disrupted. I have not even had time to be on my IG. If I am overweight, what can I do? I am happy regardless xD.
