First 4 days of another story got me fucked up I hope nothing else happens !

Think of how much WORSE it would have been in saeyoungs route when he first runs into saeran if he didnt have that plausible deniabilty of saerans hair and eye color being different. Yikes

Oh, you are in the mood to make me cry, aren't you? Because, as we know, the first time the twins encounter each other face-to-face in Yoosung and Saeyoung’s Route after years of separation, we have no choice but to watch Saeyoung not recognize his brother right away.

Granted, part of the reason why he doesn't recognize his brother doesn't just have to do with the fact that his brother doesn't look the same as he once did, it's because the very last thing he expects to encounter in the organization that has been trying to destroy his Safe Haven— is his brother.

Why would Saeran be in Mint Eye?

Saeran was supposed to be safe somewhere thanks to Jihyun and Rika.

There's a part of me that knows if he realized it was his brother right away, it would have sent him into a downward spiral that destroyed him emotionally. He always shuts down when he realizes what has been done to his brother. It's one thing when he's bouncing between deniability and actuality, but if there is nothing to deny, then he has to accept that he was lied to, and the only thing that happens when he has that realization is a breakdown. 

If he knew right away what happened to his brother, that would just burn all of us even more emotionally. That moment he has of “what if” is there to keep us from sobbing after we learn the truth. Because every playthrough after the truth is realized only hurts when you sit down and think about how Saeyoung didn't know his brother right away because of everything Saeran went through and how he lost himself in the name of revenge.

If he knew it was his brother without a shadow of a doubt at first glance, that makes it all the more painful for us to think about how he could never ever not know his brother in a crowd. If he could see his brother without a moment of hesitation, then he would be forced to look in the mirror and question everything he ever did wrong because his mirror reflection looking at him in contempt is only a reminder of how he sacrificed everything and it didn't even matter.

His sacrifice meant nothing. There is no moment to deny anything. There is no way to second-guess himself, that is his brother, and his brother suffered. At least when there is a bit of deniability, he can somehow work his way through the pain by trying to make himself believe that what happened wasn't because of him, but if he saw it from the very first second they met each other's eyes, then the pain would be unbelievable. 

The pain is already unbelievable, but there is something that is difficult to put into words when it comes to them seeing each other for the first time and there being no doubt about it. Saeyoung would blame himself 100% after seeing the pain in Saeran's eyes... the same red hair and golden eyes, just filled with contempt instead of relief and joy to be together again.

There is a kind of separation between them when they don't look exactly alike, but when they look the way they once did when they were children, it burns in a way that Saeyoung could never describe. It would be like the innocent memory of his brother shattered tenfold on impact because there was no attempt to erase his identity in the situation, his identity is front and center. 

Our Saeran bleaches his hair to disconnect himself from Saeyoung... but if that connection was still there... well, the thought is a heavy one. It's an interesting thought piece, not going to lie, but there is so much in it that makes me want to cry. That moment where he has a chance to deny what's happening delays the inevitable at the end of the day, but tainting the image of the red-haired baby Saeran in his mind is something that cuts like a knife. 

There's just... a brief disconnection when he has his white hair and I don't know how to describe it in words. I hope this is making sense but I've only made myself cry.

Word count: 2,816

Summary: Sometimes, cupid isn’t a baby in a diaper shooting arrows. Sometimes cupid is a red-headed hacker who uses his friend’s money.

Saeran really couldn’t take his eyes off you. While you had everyone’s attention as you spoke, you captivated him in an entirely different sense. The beating in his chest rapid, palms sweaty, and completely entranced with the kind look on your face as you went on. The blush on his cheeks deepening as he let his mind wander, unrealistic scenarios of you two together running through his mind. He wasn’t entirely focused on your words, but he found himself eyeing your lips, curious as to how they would feel against his.

“Saeran?” you asked, bringing him out of his thoughts as he looked around to see all eyes on him. For a whole minute there, it really felt like it was just you two in the room and he completely forgot he was at an RFA meeting, planning for the next party.

“I-I’m sorry, what, um, what were we talking about?” he stammered, his face turning beet red at the attention directed at him. Before you said anything, you’re hand went to his forehead, feeling the radiating heat that seemed to double at your touch. Even with how embarrassed he was, he still found himself focused on the concerned look on your face.

“You’re burning up, are you feeling okay?”

“I’ve never been better,” he replied, averting his gaze and letting out a puff of air he didn’t realize he was holding onto. Though he looked somewhat collected, his mind was racing a million miles a second. Wondering just why, out of all the responses he could come up with, did he say that. Why did the entire RFA have to witness that and what exactly are they thinking behind their judging eyes. And why on earth couldn’t he couldn’t just evaporate in this moment.

One he finally met your gaze again, he was surprised to see you still look worried. You took a step back, still examining his face before taking a seat.

“Alright, well if you need to step out for any reason, don’t hesitate to,” you said, attention back on the stack of papers from which you were presenting to the group.

“Smooth,” the voice next to him whispered for only Saeran to hear. It was met with a jab of the elbow to Saeyoung’s rib

As the meeting went on, Saeran’s eyes trailed back to you every once in a while, even when you weren’t talking. To him, you looked so cute with the absolute thoughtful look on your face. How someone could look so perfect without doing much was beyond him. After a while, his thoughts were interrupted by a buzzing in his pocket, checking his phone under the table so no one would notice.

‘You know what next week is, right?’ sent by the red-head next to him. Saeran looked over to see his eyes focused on Jumin as he spoke, but hands tapping away at the phone hiding under the table.

‘Why are you asking me this in the middle of the meeting?’ Saeran typed out and sent, met with an almost immediate response.

‘Because I’m trying to look out for you here. Now do you know or do I have to remind you?’

“I know it’s Valentine’s day next week, I don’t understand why you’re telling me this now, but get to your point before Jumin sees.’

‘Because I think you should ask MC on a date before you leave today.’

‘That’s not going to happen,’ he simply wrote, giving his twin a roll of the eyes.

‘Why not? Don’t you like her??’

‘No,’ Saeyoung let out a loud laugh at that, startling the rest of the group. Once he collected himself, he noticed Jumin staring daggers in their direction.

“Is there something you’d like to share with the rest of us?” he asked, obviously irritated by the interruption.

“Actually yes,” Saeyoung said, getting up from his seat to address the room. A small flash of panic in Saeran’s eyes, not knowing exactly what he was going to say or where this would lead.

“It has been a while since we’ve had a get-together outside of these meetings. I feel a real distance between myself and you all. It’s like I don’t even know you guys anymore,” he continued, “A real wedge has been driven between me and my fellow members and I won’t stand for it any longer.”

“Your point?” Jumin piped up.

“My point is that we should all have dinner together next week, spend some time together, get to know MC since she is our newest member. We can go out to a nice restaurant, have some drinks and just talk. It’s about time we take the ‘i’ out of ‘team’ and put the ‘friendship’ right back in it,” he said, looking around the room for a reaction only to see some pensive looks. After a moment of utter silence, Zen finally spoke up.

“I think that would be great, actually.”

“Yeah,” Yoosung agreed.

“I’m all for it,” you smiled eagerly, “Saeran, what do you think?”

“Yeah, um, t-that sounds great,” Saeran’s face deepened in color, averting his gaze to the floor.

Saeyoung eyed the remaining two, Jaehee and Jumin, for approval. They looked at each other, having a silent conversation with glances before Jaehee finally looked to Saeyoung.

“We can make time for it in our schedule,” Jaehee answered, Jumin nodding in agreement, “We’ll make the accommodations and-“

“Actually,” Saeyoung intervened, “let me take care of that. I suggested it so it’s only fair that I take care of the arrangements. Let’s say Thursday the 14th?”

“On Valentine’s day? Some of us could be busy that day,” Jumin said.

“Look around the room and tell me who honestly could have plans here. Do you need me to pull up the track record for everyone’s dating life?” Saeyoung said, earning a collective and defensive ‘hey’ from the other members.

“Am I wrong? Show of hands, who would be too busy with a date that day,” he spoke once again, a silence through the room at the lack of hands that went up, “Thought so. I’ll text everyone the details later. Jumin, proceed.”

He took his seat again, a small, devious smirk on his face as he looked at his brother. It was a look that alarmed Saeran, knowing it meant he had something up his sleeve. Whatever it is he had in store, he could at least be comforted by the fact that the rest of the RFA would be there.

The tie around Saeran’s neck felt uncomfortable, not used to having to dress so formal. Why Saeyoung chose such a sophisticated place to get together was beyond him, but he agreed to it nonetheless. Though, he only really agreed to it for the sole purpose of seeing you on Valentine’s day. Even if it wasn’t truly a date, the idea of spending this time with you, today of all days, was enough for him.

His hands instinctively went to loosen the tie as he rounded the corner of the restaurant, though he didn’t expect to see you right outside, alone, and waiting. His jaw practically slacked at the sight of you dressed so formally. It wasn’t until he got closer that he noticed all the small details that truly captured his heart. And the smile you flashed once you noticed him took his breath away.

“Thank god you didn’t cancel on me like the rest did,” you said, only gaining a quizzical look from him.

“Did you not read the messenger?”

“No, I just-“ though the words died in his throat once he looked at his phone to find a single text.

‘Reservation’s under my name. Good luck on your date~’ sent 3 minutes ago by his brother. He should have known that he’d pull this kind of stunt, wondering just where exactly he was holding the rest of the RFA captive. The idea of being alone with you almost terrified him, but he would be lying if he said he wasn’t happy for this.

“I guess it’s just us two then,” he said, pocketing his phone and biting back the wide smile that threatened to spread.

“Yeah, I guess it is,” you paused, meeting his gaze, “though I have to be honest, I’m kinda glad it’s just us.”

His eyes widened at your words, curious if he heard you right. The sincere look in your eyes, the soft smile as you looked at him confirmed just that. And for a split second, he almost wanted to thank his brother for setting this up.

“Really?”

“Well, yeah. I enjoy your company and any opportunity I have to spend time with you is one I will gladly take,” you said, smiling as you signaled towards the door, “now come on, there’s an empty table of seven and a dinner I’ll have Jumin reimburse waiting in there.”

He could only laugh as he followed, holding the door open for you. The restaurant was much nicer on the inside than you two expected, making your way through the crowded lobby to find where he needed to check in.

“Hi, reservation for Saeyoung Choi,” Saeran said to the hostess. They scanned the list in front of them, meeting his gaze once they found the name.

“Right this way mister and missus Choi,” they chimed, ushering you two to the dining room. He couldn’t help but flush at the implication, seeing you equally as red. He could almost hear Saeyoung cackling about this. Though he had to admit, it had a nice ring to it.

The table you two were brought to practically screamed ‘romance.’ It was secluded, covered in a seemingly expensive sheet with just as pricey silverware sitting atop, and by candlelight to contrast the dimly lit ambiance. The string music in the background carried the lovey-dovey feeling in the air, only adding to how absolutely flustered he was getting. Looking around, you two noticed the place was filled almost entirely of couples, obviously celebrating their love on this holiday.

He pulled out one of the seats for you, tucking it in once you settled in. You offered him a sincere smile, a silent ‘thank you’ at his mannerism as he took his own seat across from you. Once he looked at you, he felt his breath catch in his throat, stunned and overwhelmed by how truly beautiful you looked in this moment.

The way your eyes reflected by the candlelight passed your glasses had him awestruck, mouth hanging slightly as he took in every detail. The freckles on your face were like constellations he’d never tire of counting, a clear night sky he could easily get lost in. Your hair falling perfectly, almost serving as a halo that perfectly framed your face. His hand wanted so badly to reach for your own across the table, but he refrained.

“Your waiter will be with you shortly,” the hostess said, leaving you two and bringing Saeran out of his thoughts to realize he had just been staring at you.

“I, um, I’m sorry,” he stammered, eyes falling to his own hands that sat clasped on the table.

“For what?” you asked, a small laugh escaping as your hand found his, giving him a comforting touch. If it was humanly possible, he would have melted into a puddle from that, blush intensifying as he met your eyes once again. The sincere curiosity in them made his heart do leaps, trying to find some sort of reply.

“For starters, I’m sorry everyone seemed to have cancelled last minute.”

“What can you do?” you shrugged before continuing, “Though now that you mention it, it is odd that Saeyoung chose a place with this setting for a get together, what’s that about?”

“I think I have a hunch,” he sighed, gaining a tilt of the head in an unspoken question from you. There were few moments in his life he felt as nervous as he did in this moment, swallowing hard as he decided whether he would tell you his true feelings or not. He could never truly deny you of what you wanted, be it a favor or, in this instance, an answer. And especially not when you looked at him like that.

“The thing is-“

“Good evening mister and missus Choi, I’ll be taking care of you tonight,” a voice intervened with a bottle of wine in hand, “I have a Chateau Petrus courtesy of a ‘Cupid Choi.’”

“Cupid Choi?” you asked, seeing Saeran bury his face in his hands.

“Saeyoung, you son a-“

“Thank you for the wine, you can just leave it. We’ll still need a minute,” you smiled up at the waiter as they turned on their heel.

“As you were saying,” you said, regaining his attention as you went to pour the wine in the glasses. He reached for his own glass, meeting your attentive gaze once again. Whatever shred of confidence he had faltered in the last few seconds.

“The thing is,” he trailed, pausing to think his next words carefully, “Saeyoung couldn’t come because he was sick. He’s wanted to come here for a while and used this outing as an excuse to get Jumin to pay for it.”

“That’s really your hunch?” you asked, Saeran nodding in assurance.

“Yeah, that’s the thing,” he said simply, though he didn’t notice the dubious expression on your face, eyeing him as he took a long swig of his glass.

He put his feelings on the back of his mind, settling on just enjoying this evening with you. You two talked and laughed the entire time. To him, this felt natural. It felt like everything he had been looking for in his life, but he just couldn’t bring himself to tell you that. To him, you were a dream come true, but could never be his reality.

A few hours of you two drinking and talking came and went, The check that was brought was already paid for by ‘Cupid Choi,’ along with bouquet of flowers sent to the table as the final touch to this entire scheme. You two made your way out, idle chitchat along the way until you two were outside.

Alright, so the thing is?” you asked, stopping in front of him. He gave you a quizzical look, wondering just what you were asking.

“Oh come on, don’t try to tell me that what you wanted to say in there was that Saeyoung couldn’t come because he was sick. That doesn’t explain why everyone cancelled at the last minute. What’s really going on?”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about,” he said passively.

“Saeran, I can see right through this act. Now tell me what the thing is, what you were going to say?”

“The thing is,” he paused, biting his cheek before he continued, “Saeyoung set this up. I didn’t know about it until I got here, but his original intent was to get us alone. The table, the wine, and the flowers were his small touches.”

“Why would he have to set this up?”

“Because he knows that I have feelings for you,” he finally said, looking to see the stunned expression on your face, though that didn’t diminish his train of thought.

“Everything about you captivates me so wholly and I find myself wanting to know more about you. When I’m around you, my throat closes up, the beating in my chest races, and I sweat more than usual. But that never seems to matter if only it means that I’m with you. You’ve made my world seem much lighter since you’ve come into it and I only ever want to make you as happy as you’ve made me.”

The air in-between you two felt thick, silence taking it’s place. For a few seconds, though it felt like an eternity, you two only looked at each other, processing the words that had just been spoken. The beating in his chest felt like it was pounding in his ears, trying to decipher just what the look you were giving him meant. Were you angry? Were you sad? Did he just make an ass out of himself? Why aren’t you saying anything??

Though all those thoughts were thrown out as soon as you leaned in, tip-toeing to press your lips to his. Your hand tangled into his hair, pulling him down as his found the nape of your neck to deepen the kiss. You could feel the small smile that tugged on his lips, wrapping an arm around to pull you closer to him. He felt like he was on air, elated as he pulled away.

“In case that didn’t say it, I feel the same way,” you said, hands toying with his collar as he still held you. He laughed, leaning back down, inches from your lips.

“Happy Valentines Day,” he whispered, claiming your lips as his once again.

Saeran/Ray Route. AKA THE UGLY CRY ROUTE. Spoilers Ahead!

Alright where do I begin. . . If you thought 707’s route hurt you, nope. Ray’s route I can almost guarantee will make you ugly cry.

Lets talk about rays route shall we?

So we’re not gonna ignore that Saeran kidnapped you from the very beginning but I mean MC what kind of basic lack of home training do you have that you legit iust followed a yolo text telling you to get into a car to be taken to an undisclosed location.

Oh yes enter Ray persona. “Test my game for me you beautiful creature that I’m already admittedly probably in love with because I have no reference for what it feels like to be loved or in love. But you make me feel less lonely so please don’t leave me.”

Ray is a princely figure throughout your first couple days with him. Only to later realize that Rika has utterly adopted his mothers tactics to manipulate him into doing what she wants out of what is essentially pure spite. Rika also adopts the persona of being Saeran’s true mother as she calls herself. Oddly enough, you actually get more insight on what type of person Rika is and how she perceived herself in Ray’s route than V’s.

Even in everyone’s else’s route before Saeran I never found myself actually attracted to Saeran. Rather, I found him to be someone that was grossly similar to Rika in the fact that he simply wanted to be accepted and loved by anyone. No matter what love meant to the other person. He was willing to devote his entire being simply for the other person to achknowledge him as a person. This becomes even more clear if you get Rays bad ending. It’s clear to see why even in past routes Rika was more than just Rika, she was a godly being for Saeran. Albeit through means of heavily drugging him and manipulative tactics but that’s how he saw Rika. Just as he named you his goddess, Rika was the all mighty savior.

Ray is already very upset that he has to take the elixir. It causes him to undergo pain beyond measure. Which is why he goes so out of his way to do everything he can so that the player doesn’t have to take the elixir. He even goes to make a fake exilir in case Rika asks for MC to drink it to prove herself.

This poor sweet child has been nothing but continuously abused and used as a tool.

He himself thinks he’s no good. BECAUSE LITERALLY HE HAS BEEN CONDITIONED LIKE THIS HIS ENTIRE FUCKING LIFE. LIKE PLEASE I JUST WANT TO PROTECT YOU AND LET YOU BE HAPPY. LOOK AT HOW FRAGILE HE IS. YOU CAN STILL SEE THE OLD WOUNDS HIS MOTHER GAVE HIM ON HIS BODY

Like this poor baby STOPPPPP. When they released Ray’s route I did not expect myself to cry as much as I did going through this route.

NOW let’s transition to Saeran persona. We’re also not going to ignore that Saeran abused MC for literally days. Both trying to manipulate her and physically starving her so she’s weakened. I think we all knew from the beginning that Saeran was projecting all his fears and feelings onto MC in hopes of personifying his perceived weaker self and dominating them. I’m not excusing any of this AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU. Someone being mentally ill does not give them any rights to abuse others around them because they are damaged. But this is also where I was very emotionally driven. This arc stirred an anger in me towards both Rika and V. As most of us know it has been about six months since Rika had disappeared. But thing is Saeran was taken in by Rika and V a LONG while before. Like Rika you literally killed his mom how has this not come up anywhere in conversation????? LIKE REALLY DID YOU LEGIT GET AWAY WITH MURDER??? I digress. What makes me so angry is that ONLY FKING RIGHT NOW does V actually realize “maybe....I waited too long and should have helped Saeran and protected him LIKE I PROMISED SAEYOUNG ALL THOSE YEARS AGO AND NOT LIED ABOUT IT UNTIL HE WAS SO TRAUMATIZED THAT HIS PERSONALITY SPLIT”. LIKE V???? YOU JUST SEE THAT NOW? RIGHT NOW????? WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU DIDNT REALIZE WHAT RIKA HAS DONE TO HIM??? YOU BEEN FOLLOWING HER SINCE SHE FOUNDED MINT EYE SHE HAS A ENTIRE FOLLOWING OF PEOPLE???? YOU KNEW SHE WAS MENTALLY ILL LIKE??? HUH????? Okayyyyyy. . .

Back to Saeran. Even as MC is getting tortured by Saeran this is the scene that broke me in this route.

His complete breakdown after being unable to cope with his feelings and being unable to break MC. This is the scene where he says something along the lines of “I’ll just kill you now so you can’t torment me; only I can torment you” and where he desperately tries to get a response from MC.

I’m not sure how everyone else responded but when it came to the choose I chose to say nothing. The following line of Saeran saying “why aren’t you saying anything? Tell me! TELL ME IT’S PAINFUL!” Completely broke me. I realized here he still just wants someone to accept him....in the form of him as their abuser...but accepting him nonetheless. Also props to Saeran’s VA. You screamed a lot in this my dude. It paided off. You made Saeran become really alive delivering all your lines the way you did. Honestly even above Rika’s VA, you did....amazing. You’re both amazing but DAMN YOU MADE ME TOO EMOTIONALLY ATTACHED.

Anyway,

The line is delivered so desperately. He just wants a response any response. Silence is just the same as death for him. What good is a toy that won’t respond to you? Validate me as a person that is strong and not useless. Only my toy makes me feel whole.

Saeran and Ray are entirely the same. “Please don’t leave me. I’m scared. ”. Of course Ray and Saeran are the same person. After this....his decision to tell V to take MC away from here seals the deal. That’s Saeran’s way of saying he loves you enough to let you go. That sounds cliche af but that’s what happen. The difference is the deliverance of how it went about is what made it worthwhile.

He spent 9 days trying to do one thing. And that was to get you to not leave. Now he just wants you to be okay even in his madness.

I wont lie. V did save redeem himself a little when he came clean. And the proceeded to of course OF COURSE sacrifice himself and be putty in Rika’s hands. Yes Rika is a monster. Granted I still stand by my opinion that she isn’t the monster that some people make her out to be, but she’s still a monster. When Ray/Saeran become one and shows Rika all the receipts I mean I was Z-snapping everywhere tbh.

Both Saeran and Rika became what they hated most. Their mothers. The difference is Rika believed it made her strong, Saeran realized that’s what made him weak.

Overall I think Ray’s route was the most impactful for several reasons. But I’ll just name two.

1. The entire story has VAs. The delivery of the lines make a difference in how we perceive the characters. A lot of the times we have to imagine how they said it. Here we actually get to hear how it was intended. It made it that more immersive to the point of sometimes I forget this is just a game.

2. The story was well driven and you don’t get the complete satisfaction of everyone’s happy ending. This was intentional of course. Someone has to lose their life. You spend most your life hiding with Saeran and Rika has V wrapped back in her fingers...Continuing the cycle of their toxic relationship. Until we get an after ending for both V and Ray. I have to say these reviews are incomplete.

ok, hear me out. you know prince zuko? kind of like that

like…he’s an exiled prince. because he was a troublemaker and his parents thought he gave the kingdom a bad reputation 

his whole route in this au would be helping him get back to the throne wow

when he comes back, he’s a pretty benevolent ruler

but he keeps people working! doesn’t like it when people slack off

zen donates a lot of his wealth to his people 

the people love him for that. but also because he regularly visits them and helps them with his work

throws parties too - where he sings! you can find him in the local theater a lot. it’s also how he got his stage name! 

basically, he’s very involved with his kingdom 

how he met mc was actually at the local theater! 

their family was settling into the kingdom after moving and he brought them up on stage as a part in the act

zen really couldn’t get them out of his head after that

so he finds them while he was visiting all of the other townspeople

and they start talking. it’s the talk of the town

everyone is actually really happy when they get together. his mother isn’t that happy - mc’s a commoner. this isn’t a cinderella story, hyun 

but he never thought it was like that. and even if it was, he feels like he would be cinderella, not mc (get it? the phone call?)

it takes a while, a long while, but they eventually get married

yoosung

a devoted prince

everyone loves him and he works really hard for the kingdom!

loves visiting the hospital and even townspeople’s houses from time to time

but...a relative of his passed and prince yoosung shut himself down

spent more time inside the castle than going out. 

things felt...gloomier. they were all worried about him

but nothing they did, even their visits to the castle, seemed to help for long

he was still nice, of course, but something was off

the queen had to force him outside one day - a bit of fresh air, at least

which was where they ran into this dog, who pushed him down and started licking his face

yoosung laughed while a person ran and grabbed the dog away from him

he told them it was okay and actually really wanted to play with the dog

so they talked for a while. which is how he and mc met

the two of them walked around town and some whispers of the prince dating sprung up

mc was so embarrassed, but they were really honored that the prince wanted to talk to them 

they ended up hanging out more often. and slowly, slowly..yoosung started getting happier again. and started working harder

he asked mc to date him on one of their walks around town with their dog. there was actual applause from the eavesdropping towns people 

jaehee

actually a kind of sad princess

the old adviser to the king took over when the king died because she was too young

and now...well no one thinks she can do it

heck, she doesn’t even think she could do it

so she follows instructions. she does the work. even stays up later than any other of the castle staff

goes out to visit the townspeople sometimes. they like her, but thinks she really overworks herself...

the people in the cafe see her the most. she gives them great business

never actively sought out a husband, but some people thought she at least had a crush on this actor that stops by every now and then

she didn’t though, really. love just..wasn’t for her

until the adviser-now-ruler took her to one of their foreign relations meetings

another person was their along with a king and they sent the two of them to just talk while they talked business

jaehee learned that their name was mc...and that jaehee was intrigued

they ended up talking for much longer than the meeting went 

and the two kingdoms had really good relations

jaehee confided in mc, asking if they thought she was a worthy ruler

mc really helped boost jaehee’s confidence. 

so when the ruler of jaehee’s kingdom passed and jaehee was crowded queen, she was ready

that was also the day mc kissed her

jumin

the model prince 

studies and works hard to make sure he rules his kingdom well though sometimes he scares the townspeople, they like him

a lot of other royalty from other towns admire him, but he turns them all down

sick of the king always having an affair with someone in the castle

the townspeople don’t keep track of who the queen is anymore

usually keeps himself locked in the castle. that’s why a bunch of rumors start

the most recent one was something about him and the carriage driver???

whatever, he didn’t care. 

that is, until the king brought in someone for him to marry

jumin was in an arranged marriage to princess Sarah of a pretty far away kingdom and he...didnt want that

Sarah was annoying and clearly in it for their wealth

so he did something he normally never did. he snuck out. for days.

visited a winery in town and met mc

they talked a lot. and jumin didnt know why. but he really liked this winery owner

invited them back to the castle to ‘talk over him buying the winery’ but they stayed the night and was caught by sarah

he and mc worked together to end the arranged marriage and show the king that sarah was only in it for wealth

and he proposed to them during that announcement too. right in front of all the townspeople

707 / luciel / saeyoung

the prince that hates his status and dresses as a commoner all the time

mainly because he hates the king

no one in the kingdom even knows he’s the prince

he stays inside a lot. hates going out 

the kingdom knows there’s a “prince saeyoung” but when he does go out, he’s “707″ 

also secretly works for an agency that helps protect the kingdom 

its a pain and they make him work too hard

there are things that he’s done and gave up that he regrets

but it’s also actually how he met mc

they were a bystander in this one mission of his

or that’s what he thought. mc ended up really helping out

and they even managed to talk after that! he was immediately taken with them

so he was motivated to work harder. he had a whole checklist.

quit the agency, overthrow the king, reveal himself as saeyoung.

it took forever but he did it. mc found out his real name and status when he told them a while back

they helped him overthrow the king

when he was crowned, he was a very nice ruler - goofy and loved, but also feared because he knew what he was doing

it unfortunately came with many enemies;;

an actual nature prince. might as well be a disney prince.

took a side hobby with photography, but he rules really well

all the townspeople love him and he’s actually the official photographer for town events

he’s very loyal, but also very secretive. the kingdom knows him as Prince V

they know he has one friend. and an ex fiance. something....went wrong

he hasn’t really been the same after the ex situation. and out of nowhere he announced that something was wrong with his eyes

the townspeople tried to help him, but he locked himself away. he said he wasn’t worth it

V spent more and more of his time in the forest too

which is where he met mc, a runaway heir from their kingdom

something was wrong..and they really wanted out

so he snuck them into the castle. no one knew for months.

they talked a lot in the castle. mc spilled their troubles, v spilled his secrets 

its like..they found someone to really listen. and who would help them work though the situations. like how v helped mc get letters to their kingdom

 when v strolled through town now, they noticed a change in his attitude

and..was the kingdom brighter these days or was it just them?

the kingdom didn’t even know about mc until they announced their engagement 

and that prince V - no, jihyun - was getting the surgery

saeran

the lost prince..kind of like rapunzel. doesn’t know he was the prince

but he did always feel like something was missing. he even only knew himself as ‘Unknown’. no real name

and yeah, he thought it was a little weird that there were only certain places he could go

or that he had to study this one thing

so...he was going through his rebellious phase and....bye bye~

actually chilled out in the woods for awhile 

until he decided to stop by a kingdom. he’s never been here before

mc was actually the first person he met in the town

they took care of him for the first couple days, helping him learn about the town and such

one time, they brought up how he looked like their prince, but with bleached hair. weird

and as a little celebration to their new friendship, mc took him to the festival! i promise im not actually trying to copy rapunzel agdod

the prince made an appearance and it was weird, but Unknown instantly recognized him

maybe in a dream...

saeyoung saw him though and immediately ran towards him, yelling the name ‘Saeran’ and hugging him

and he realized. this prince was his brother. his twin brother

turns out the prince was looking for his twin since he could walk

saeran agreed to go with him to the castle, but only if mc could go with him

●you had messed up your schedule and planned something with jaehee the day your siblings wanted to hang out with you●you missed the time with your siblings thinking that they would understand●they really didn’t●they hassled you and got really mean with you● now this isn’t what cause you to be suicidal●but it was the last straw●jaehee noticed your change in attitude and tried to help you●but you only added more things for yourself to do ●jaehee worried for you and always did little things for you like make you coffee in the morning or clean the place up before you woke up●but she wouldn’t go to you about it she wanted you to come to her●one day it all became too much and you crashed●you literally broke down in tears one day when watching zens musical with jaehee●you were shaking●jaehee pulled you close and played with your hair humming to you to get you to calm down enough to speak●she was really good at calming you down●you confide in her saying that your siblings have never been nice to you and have always been jealous ●so when they pulled this stunt it was the last straw●she says she will be back and goes to the store●she comes back with ice cream comfy pjs and a blanket ●she says this always helps her when she is feeling really upset ●yall have matching pjs ●it’s adorable●they are zen themed●so is the blanket●hes honored that he gets to help you feel better●she also urges you to get therapy because it could seriously help her feel better as well

●you and him had gotten another cat about two years ago ●but this cat was yours and you named him cloud ●you named him cloud after cloud strife from ffvii but only saeyoung and yoosung know this●you and this cat were very close ●one day he escapes so you and jumin are searching for him●you get outside and witness him get hit by a car●jumin has to try his hardest to keep you from running in the street●you are completely distraught●you have curled up in a ball on the side walk shaking●jumin is very upset as well●you can see tears streaming down his face as he stops traffic to get cloud’s body ●later, as jumin is preparing the funeral because he is extra and loves cats as much as I do, you are by yourself a shaking sobbing mess ●old thoughts came back and you were scared by this●you had gotten so used to having cloud there when jumin was gone ●like Elizabeth the third was nice●but she wasn’t as cuddly or c9mforting as cloud was to you●you really wanna self mutilate●you shake more somehow as you are about do it ●you resort to just messaging the rfa chat rooms about the whole ordeal●this is the one time zen is com0letely ok with talking about cats●everyone is really sad and supporting●when jumin comes back you and him just hug really tightly for awhile sobbing●even Elizabeth seems sad●you and jumin are there for each other through the whole thing●you both decide to get therapy for dealing with this situation

●you had always been able to talk about how you didnt really grow up with parents because they both died when you were really young●but for some reason today you couldn’t handle it●the topic came up when seven was curious about your ancestory because he got an ancestry.com subscription and was curious about you ●you started talking about what you have heard of your parents and began to start shaking ●he noticed you eyes well up●he was about to go to comfort you but you said you had to use the bathroom and hid in there for like 30 minutes●you tried your hardest to sob quietly●you wish you could of met them ●you think about how if you just died you could●when you are about to slkt your throat he walks in●in no time the tool you were gonna use is gone from your hand and he is holding you close shaking and crying●he starts apologizing for bringing your parents up●he begs you to never hurt your self●he literally puts a secret code to all the blades in the house ●he also has them all in sheaths ●he makes sure you know you are loved and ok��constant worrying and small gifts

●you get a call from your very abusive mother●this puts you on edge●she mainly mentally and emotionally abused you more than physical●you tell her things about saeran that are safe to release to the public ●she starts calling him psychotic so you stand up for him●she makes sure you know she still thinks you are a psychopath and that you should be removed from this world●by the end of this call you are angry but that’s just to hide your sadness and hurt●you take a knife and destroy everything she and your family members that agree with her gave to you●you start thinking about what if they were gone●they think you are so psychopathic then why don’t you let them win and show them●you realize your thoughts and then panic deciding that if you do take a life it will be your own●you try to stab yourself●you just cant do it ●in anger you aggressively cut your arms and legs●saeran walks in 30 minutes after you finish ●he is shocked ●he just looks at you eyes wide mouth slightly agape●he demands that you explain●hes just shaking ●as you explain he manages to take the knife from you●when you finish he sits in front of you and with a very serious face he cuts his arm●you panic and ask him why he is doing that●he simply asks how it makes you feel when he does this to himself ●you realize what he is doing and tell him it makes you feel terrible●he asks you why you do it then ●why would you add more hurt to him ●he will help you with your emotions of course●you both need to be happy and stable●he tells you that every time he finds a new cut on you that he will cut him self so that you realize how it’s hurting those around you●this really helps you to stop cutting●you help each other out all the time●and after a while you both get a bit better●he also gives you cuddles to make you feel better because he remembers you mentioning you love cuddles once ●now he always cuddles you ●he lowkey loves cuddling too

●he knows the signs●he dated rika remember●even if he can’t see too well●he knows●hes afraid to talk to you about it●but he forces himself to because he doesn’t want you to be like rika●hes really supportive●he begs you to go into therapy●he makes sure your days are always bright and happy●he let’s you vent when you need to●he tells you that if you hurt yourself you hurt those around you●he buys you nice markers to use to draw on yourself when you feel like hurting yourself●he loves seeing the things you draw●when he notices you getting better he is over joyed

~Today had been horrible~You and Zen had started the day like normal going for a walk but that got ruined quickly when some fans came over and started taking selfies with Zen~He offered for you to be in them to but the person was real quick to say~”Sorry I only want a picture with Zen”~They said it with a rude tone like they were to good for you~It hurt your feelings and as soon as you guys got home you just excused your self to take a nap~A few hours later Zen pokes his head in your shared room~”Hey princess you OK”~”No not really that fan really got to me”~”Well you really shouldn’t let them get to your head”~”But Zen it-”~He cuts you off~”I have to go to a rehearsal I’ll be back later we can talk then”~It really hurt your feelings that he just brushed off your feelings like that maybe he didn’t care~You knew what you had to do you ran into the bathroom and got out the pain meds ~You poured them in your hand and was about to swallow them when Zen suddenly ran in the door~”MC have you seen my ke- MC what are you doing!”~He runs over and slaps your hand all the pills fall on the ground and you stare up at him in shock~”MC what were you thinking that would have killed you!”~Tears start to form in you eyes~”I know it would have”`~He looks at you sadly and engulfs you in a hug a long one ~”Please don’t do this we can get you help if you need it”

~She noticed how distant you were lately and she didn’t like it~But whenever she asked you about it you would play dumb and brush it off with a awkward chuckle~But that didn’t fool Jaehee, in fact it made her more worried now~She was kinda weary about leaving you home alone when she went to run some errands bt she didnt show it ~You took this as your chance…..your chance to finally leave~You went into the bathroom and took apart one of the razors ~You looked at your old scars…..the ones you told Jaehee were just cat scratches~You ran the blade against your wrist softly at first barely drawing any blood then you went for a second one this time a little harder~By the time you got to your 5th cut you arm was drenched in bloodand you were already starting to feel a little dizzy~You were so into it you didnt notice that Jaehee had come home ~”MC where are you?”~You quickly tried to clean yourself up but you were in so much pain that you just fell to the floor and started crying~She walks in and immediately rushes to your side and tries to stop the bleeding and calls an ambulance~”MC why would you do this to yourself?”~”Its……complicated”~”Well I’ll listen”

Jumin

~This poor soul doesnt really register certain emotions so when you push him away hes just like~Am I doing something wrong?~So he tries to pamper you but that just makes you feel worse because this man cares about you so much and just wants you to be happy~But being happy right about now is almost impossible~One day he walks into the bedroom where you are sleeping and wakes you up~”MC tonight we have to go to a dinner with my father”~You are barely awake at the moment say~”Yeah sure….”~And go back to sleep~By the time of the dinner you just don’t want to do anything~”Jumin I’m not feeling to good just go without me”~”But MC you said you would join me”~”I know I did Jumin I’m sorry”~”OK whatever”~He just walks off no goodbye or anything ~It made you feel guilty because ~You told him that you would go and now you’ve faked being sick just to get out of it…..but honestly you were sick~Sick of life~You ran up to the roof of the penthouse and stood on the ledge~One of the guards saw you and started yelling for you but you didn’t listen they finally called Jumin and told him what was happening~They all ran for you and just as you were about to jump they caught you ~You were trying to fight them and you were sobbing~”Let me do it please…….I just wanna die”~Jumin finally got there much to everyone’s relief and tried to calm you down~He ordered that you were to be taken to a hospital immediately ~He made you go to therapy even though you protested

Saeyoung/Seven

~OK he knows that you were diagnosed with depression but he thought you were doing better now, you helped him so you thought he helped you~But he didn't ,actually he did for a long time but now its just coming back like it will never leave ~He did end up catching on after a while but when he tried to confront you about it the whole thing turned into an argument~”Well you need help I don't want you to go through this MC”~”I don't want help Saeyoung”~You say and storm out~He just sits there for a minute thinking about how he addressed the problem wrong and how next time he should take a gentler take because just telling the person they need help makes them feel attacked~He runs outside trying to find you since its late and dangerous for you to be out this late~But he then realizes that you brought your phone and he can track you now~You were in the woods holding a piece of rope that you had bought from the convince store near by~Quickly you tie it and start to climb a tree hanging the rope on the branch you put the rope around your neck and was about to jump when you hear a voice~”MC!!! Please dont do it”~Tears start to stream down your face as you take a step forward~””MC...please don’t”~You take off the rope and he runs up and gets you ~”MC lets go home and talk about this”

Saeyoung Wedding Dance: One Shot

Hello everyone c: since the munchkin war has ended not so long ago, I decided to get started on the Wedding Dace One shots :,) In case you missed the others here they are, Saeran Choi, Jumin Han, Jihyun Kim/V , :) In my personal opinion, this is the most emotional wedding dace one shot I have ever written...  I cried so hard writing this one shit...some of the emotions come from within me... I hope you guys can feel the emotion :) Thank you - Savior Saeran 

Why cant I fake my smile around you? Why did you have to be my biggest weakness. I am suppose to be the strong one but when it comes to you, Im always weak. What have you done to me? 

I breathed in and out watching how my body slowly releases the stress that it has been carrying. However, that moment of release only last a few seconds and then the stress comes back again. I looked at the mirror and saw myself. If people saw my reflection, they would see a clown who is always happy with life no matter what. Sadly, that’s not even the truth at all. When I look at my reflection, I don't even realize who that person is. My thoughts were interrupted when I heard my best man knocking at the bathroom door. I opened the door and saw my brother/best man, Saeran Choi, and I give him a big old welcome smile. He didn't even look at me while he walked in and closed the door “How are you feeling?” he asked with sincerity. I gave him a quick glance and walked towards the sink to take a better look into the mirror “The real question is ‘how are you feeling brother’, you look like an adorable penguin!” I managed to say with a chuckle. I noticed his stern face expression because of the mirror and I noticed him walking towards me. He put his hand in his pocket and took out a long black box and opened it. I was shocked seeing chain with a cross in the box.  He looked into my stunned eyes and took out the chain from the box and showed it to me “I know that I caused a lot of trouble for you and (y/n) and I may not say it often, but I appreciate the both of you so much. You two are my family and I uh love you um b-brother” he said softly. He then proceeded to put the chain on me “Now while I fix this, why don't you tell me how you are really feeling?” he looked up with a smile on his face. There are only two people who can knows the real me: my brother who has a special place in my heart, and the love of my life, (f/n) (l/n), who has the power over my body and soul. I looked at him while my act slowly breaks apart infant of him and he pulled me into a hug and I hold on tightly crying, mumbling my fears and joys. He held me tighter and I cried harder. 

TIME SKIP: WEDDING DANCE

The exact moment when I heard the double doors open and the church/space station was playing the wedding song, I saw the birth of a beautiful angel. An angel god sent me and my family, to help us continue on with life. Many hours passed and we made it to our reception. Thankfully god made (y/n) perfectly for me because she didnt get upset when I mentioned months back that the wedding dance song will be a surprised. I know she may be thinking we are going to do something silly but she will be wrong. I need her to know how much I love and appreciate her. I guided her to the middle of the dance floor and signaled for the lights to dim down a bit. I looked at Saeran so he can signal the DJ to start the song for our first dance: Because You Loved Me by Celine Dion

ive been thinking about this for a while, of if saeyoung mightve reacted differently if he didnt see saeran at the apartment. im sure he would have still been a bit stand offish, but at the same time more.. lighthearted? im not sure! id love to hear your thoughts though!

Hm... you know what, I've never considered this before.

What I mean to say is that if his brother isn't there, he's not going to have any idea as to what's being done behind the scenes. The entire reason why his world is shaken and why he reacts the way he does in the apartment is because the hacker is his brother.

That realization is what sends him on a TOTAL downward spiral to stop trusting those he's always trusted and see the world for what it is. A place where people are willing to lie to him in the name of what they think is the greater good.

His faith is broken, and the only one who’s able to pull him out of that place is you. You and your unwavering kindness are what help him believe it's not the end of the world even if it feels that way. He would not be forced to have a reckoning with himself if his brother wasn't revealed in that instance. It's hard for me to imagine how he would be in that situation.

Because, I JUST can't see Saeran not doing anything at that exact moment because he's the one who decided to go ahead and raid the apartment. That was his decision, not something Rika made for him, as shown in the VNM just before he leaves Magenta.

He wants to do everything in his power to take his brother down, and when he sees an opportunity to do it, he does it without a second thought. So, it's hard for me to rationalize a situation where he doesn't decide to raid the apartment to kidnap the player. But, on the off chance that he didn't initially invade the apartment, it's possible that he would change tactics and try to lock his brother and the player inside instead.

I don't know if he would consider remote detonation but maybe that could be something that comes up along the line.

I know this has nothing to do with what you asked, but I can't help but speculate. He wouldn't be able to ignore his brother being a real sitting duck in that situation. I just don't know what he would do differently if he didn't try to bust in through the window, but I can't see him leaving well enough alone. It's not something where he can ignore the itch.

The desire to get rid of his brother is strong and it's not something he can ignore. He can't ignore it because it's constantly buzzing in the back of his head no matter how much he wants to shake it off. The world would be a better place without the person who caused him to suffer like this and become apathetic, that's what he feels, so he's not going to ignore it regardless of how this plays out.

In regards to Saeyoung, yes, there will be a different response until I discern how the hell Unknown attacks.

The reason why he pushes you away in the first place is because he realizes that being close to him is a death sentence. His brother was put into unspeakable horror because of a choice he made, and he can't stomach the idea of that happening to you, too. But, if he is not pressed with that realization right away, sure, he might push you away for the sake of your safety, but I can't see him being as standoffish.

He hasn't been pushed into a corner with the trauma response we usually see, so what he does will not align with what you're used to seeing canonically.

There's already a little line between the two of you as you get closer, and it's one he tries not to think about because he wants to enjoy the moment. Even as you get closer to him at the beginning of the route, he doesn't hide that he can't get close to other people, but he keeps pushing that away since you make him feel alive. I think the two of you would dance between what's safe and what is it if he isn't having an existential crisis. You push his buttons, he pushes yours, and ultimately, it will culminate in a mess when the apartment goes to hell since I think it will do that no matter what.

This has to end in Unknown revealing himself. I don't know where, I don't know how, but it has to happen.

Or, maybe it doesn't have to happen at the apartment, maybe you may get to the end of the cycle and he reveals himself at the party. That would be an interesting turn of events. For you to be able to get close to Saeyoung without the expected path, only to have the party blow up in its face and him not only need to deal with the agency but with Mint Eye as well... is this me just excited at the idea of Unknown crashing the party in a fun outfit?

Yeah, but hey, you get something out of this, too.

me is replaying ray's ae to properly went through all the chatroom and vn without being overly emo cuz i already got the good ending lmao. so somewhere on day 3, saeran mentioned that the clouds are for him and the stars are for his brother (context ; saeran ask mc to remember him when they see clouds and mc ask him can they do that with stars instead)

now that intrigues me cuz i have never thought abt it. like, i know saeyoung have always loved space but for saeran to specifically associate him with stars? he told us himself that he feels like he didnt know anything abt saeyoung after they were separated. so it kinda makes me wonder if saeyoung ever talked about stars with saeran when they were younger. and obviously he knows about saeran's fondness of the clouds since yknow he sometimes brought saeran outside to do cloud-watching together.

bruh, it's 3 am and here i am contemplating about the smallest thing 😭🤚🏻 but srsly i don't think saeyoung ever mentioned stars in the chatroom before, just space in general.

Saeyoung talks about space as a general theme. However, it's not common that he talks about the stars specifically in detail. There’s maybe a few times that he talks about constellations. But, when he talks about them, he only talks about the one for Gemini. It always relates back to his brother. He does show us his favorite photograph that V took at one point and he talks of those little details that make the sky seem endless and open for exploration! It’s obvious the sky represents freedom to him. 

He and Saeran share the love of the sky. Saeyoung loves it because he knows that he and Saeran are together underneath those clouds and stars. He uses that to help himself feel secure. It gives him peace and comfort. Saeran loves the sky and the clouds because they look like freedom. It's an important theme for both of them. They are parallels. 

Saeran loves the daytime and Saeyoung loves the nighttime. They are twins and they are yin and yang. Together, they balance each other out and when they're not together, it feels disruptive. It feels wrong. They were never supposed to be put away from each other in the first place. It's so wrong to separate twins from each other because they share a bond that most people will never understand. 

My assumption for this situation can go two ways. The twins were never allowed to go outside for very long. This was because they had to be mindful of the fact that their mother could wake up at any time and realize that they were gone. It would always be during the day when their mother passed out that they could go do something. It would hardly ever be during the nighttime because Saeyoung had to go run errands as well, nothing is open at night. 

When you think about it, Saeran loved the clouds and the bright sky because it was bright. He was chained up in the house and never allowed to go very far to see the light. The darkness wasn't interesting to him. It was dark. The only thing that he wanted was to be around something bright and colorful. It was a separation from what he dealt with inside of that house. Saeyoung understood that and did his best to keep Saeran outside when it was bright. Saeran feared the dark and isolation. Nighttime can feel that way, even if there’s stars in that sky. 

It's possible that Saeyoung didn’t talk to Saeran about the stars because of this. It's possible that he focused on talking about the things that he knew Saeran liked more. He is that kind of person. He kept a lot of stuff to himself. Saeran’s diary proved that because while he mentioned and showed those coding books to Saeran, he didn’t share much. 

He was trying to learn things on his own as fast as he could. He was trying to be the one that saved his brother. He didn't want Saeran to think about those things. He wanted Saeran to see the sky, get ice cream, and have fun. So, it makes sense that he would keep a lot of the things that he liked to himself so that his brother could express himself.

There's also a strong possibility that Saeran learned about how his brother felt about the stars through watching the chat room. We know that he was watching everything and that he has an awareness of what he thinks of his brother without really knowing him as an adult. He references his interest in space enough that it would make sense that GE Saeran is aware of it. There's just an inherent connection that they have to the sky as well. So it's hard to say which way this goes.

...how do you think the choi twins would feel if they saw their MC had scars? Like if they didnt know at first, but the MC wears shorts and doesnt really do much to hide them unless they are really recent (last couple weeks), and they find out that way? That's what i do... I dont mind my scars, i kinda like them in a weird way, but i cant help but wonder if it makes other people uncomfortable if/when they notice. The cut scars arent as obvious but the scratch ones leave pretty obvious discolouration (on my legs, that is; they are hardly visible on my arms), but all in all i dont think its too easy to realize the scratch scars for what they are unless youre close enough to see all the cut scars. I... I wouldn't say I'm ashamed of them; I'm trying to not care what other people think because it's not a big deal to me, but at the same time i cant help but wonder, if someone were to actually notice, if they would be... uncomfortable or something

TW: Self-Harm

First off, nobody in the RFA will ever judge you for your scars. They won't ask if you don't want to talk but it but they will hope you know that they are always there to talk and they want to make sure you know that you are cherished and that if you ever feel like you need to talk in the middle of the night, they're there to listen to any little thing you have to say. It's not a bother, nor are you.

Saeyoung understands the pain that comes from living through the worst feeling one can ever dare to imagine. He has punished himself before and it wasn't the happiest time in his life, and so, if he were to catch sight of your scars, he would hate that you knew and empathized with that feeling. However, he isn't upset or ashamed of you, he's fully aware of what you must have felt when you did that. It hurts him to think that you suffered at as any point in your life.

You're so kind and caring to everyone. He wants to make sure that you feel safe, secure, and like you never have to do that to yourself ever again.

If you had a relapse, he's not going to judge either. He isn't the type to judge others and he would never do that sort of thing to you, not now, not ever. If you don't bring it up or don't talk about, he doesn't poke at it. He just makes sure that you know that he's there for you. He will remind you that you mean the world to him and if you acknowledge your scars to him, he'll gently kiss all the marks that he can find. He wants you to know that you're beautiful and he cherishes you, scars and all. He has his own scars that he doesn't talk about, but you always gently brush against those and smile reassuringly at him. He hopes to give you that same comfort.

Now, Saeran, on the other hand, he knows how easy it is to hate yourself and how easy it is to feel like there's no other way to feel. He knows the feeling of claws in his scalp and he knows the feeling of nails picking at his forearms to ground himself. He knows now that that didn't help him cope with his problems and that it only made it a lot harder to come down and away from the elixir and everything that hurt him. So, he knows when he sees your scars where they came from and why it was you did it. At least, he has a theory and he won't dare ask you or make you tell him why you felt that way.

He knows that you would never make him talk about it if he couldn't handle it so he gives you the same luxury of space and trust back tenfold.

He does hope that you don't harm yourself anymore and that the scars are old, but you can often feel him grasp at your arms when you're in bed and his thumbs gently rub against the raised skin in small circles. You don't have to say it for him to get it. Saeran doesn't feel the urge himself anymore, but he wants to work on getting better with you. He would never dare judge you for that feeling. He loves you and wants you to feel safe in his arms. He would protect you from any of the demons you have, even the ones that make you feel ashamed.

"...You don't have to tell me about it," he would say quietly. "I understand. I hope that you don't feel that lonely or afraid anymore but I get it if you still do sometimes. I just... want to be here for you like you were there for me. I want to kiss every mark to show you how you'll never be alone again, just like how you kiss me to remind me that we're together. I'm sorry you felt that way once, I just hope you know it's okay to talk to me if you feel that way again."

I still am a huge saeran simp okay but saeyoung saeyoung saeyoung-

Saeyoung can say in no uncertain terms that he admires your total commitment and your utter tenacity.

Your loyalty and drive to protect those that are closest to you is something that he admires and respects. He can see how much the friendship that you have with his brother means to you and he can see how much it means to his brother. You were there for him when he wasn't able to do that and for that he will be forever grateful.

He cannot put into words how grateful he is for you and he isn't sure that he'll ever be able to repay you for what you've done.

There are a million words of gratitude on his lips but when he starts to say them it gets a little overwhelming and he knows that in the scheme of things you understand everything that he's trying to say when he looks at you. It feels like you just understand.

He can remember when he got to know you back for all of this started and there was just something about you that he felt drawn to. There's just something about your natural energy that makes him gravitate towards you, and he actually thinks that it's something that makes everyone look towards you.

The world is ultimately a better place because of Someone Like You existing. At first he thought your relationship with his brother was something inherently romantic. Seemed that way with how affectionate the two of you are together. So, it definitely came as quite the surprise to him when you admitted that you weren't dating him.

That didn't make a lick of sense to him. It seemed like the two of you should be together. Well it wasn't his business anyway. He was just glad that you were there for his brother.

What wasn't a surprise was definitely the way that he felt about you.

Your courage, your bravery, and your undeniable ability of seeing things right through the surface down to the Deep Abyss. All of these things were just a little piece of the reasons why he felt himself drawn to you. At first, he tried to suppress those feelings because he didn't want to make things weird even though he knew that you were just friends with his brother. So much just happened so there wasn't a rush to push himself into something or make a fuss about anything.

But there was no denying a lingering gazes that he sent your way. Nor was there any way to avoid the fact that he tried to spend as much time with you as humanly possible.

Your laughter and your smile made him feel electrified. It was like he hadn't been alive until that moment that he met you.

He is tongue-tied and making a fool of himself in front of you all of the time just to impress you and get your attention. Everyone can see that he definitely has feelings for you except for you as far as he can tell. He spends countless hours talking to you about what you've been through and your feelings on everything.

He wants to unlock and decode everything that makes you, you. His brother definitely got a head start on him. Does it seem ridiculous that he has to go to his brother for advice? Because, he definitely has to talk to Saeran for help.

And with an exasperated expression on his face his brother and does by, and say simply "I really thought you would ask sooner. It's been a little bit ridiculous watching you lately."

He probably deserves that because he didn't make a fool of himself. He gets to confide in his brother about his feelings for you and the two of them get to really talk about the impression that you have made on the both of their lives and what you mean to them.

Saeyoung knows that you are irreplaceable and kind, and Saeran knows he wants you in his life however you can be.

They both talk late into the night about the best way to make this work out for you and Saeyoung.

Saeran ultimately wants to see you happy and if that means that you're with his brother, then he's happy for you. He doesn't know why you choose someone as ridiculous as him but he still supports you,and he still supports brother to the end. He would definitely play a confident wingman.

It's definitely something they both put together and put a lot of thought into, it's probably a maze of ideas sequestered together.

If you want to imagine a Discovery Quest that is meant to take you on a journey throughout the city and lead you to an evening with Saeyoung, then you're right to think that. It's personalized in a very well-thought-out way. It's kind of sweet to see how much work was put into it.

A relationship with Saeyoung in this situation is one built on the foundation of people finding themselves and learning that it's okay to love yourself and it's okay to find someone that you never expected to love somewhere along the way.

i particularly love the saeyoung/mc dynamics in another story because he's so suspicious of mc for most of the route. can we have your thoughts and headcanons on an mc who completed v-route in friendship and romanced saeyoung. and like the reason mc got in v route and not rays was because she was suspicious of ray's intentions and was nice to v, but that didnt mean she liked v and disliked ray, if that makes sense. but anyway, i feel like we get to see more of saeyoung and less seven in the chats, which is why i liked them more. and seven not knowing whether he can trust her makes the dynamic so interesting...

It makes sense. The entirety of V’s Route isn’t inherently romantic because he isn’t in a place for romance, but he is in the place for a friend. Which is why in the two years after the events of the route, and after he’s been chatting with his MC through text, email, and letter, it’s easy for him to try romance again with a friend that he knows was there for him and that he can trust. If an MC was still happy to be friends with V, but incredibly wary of what happened with Ray, well, it’s okay to try to focus on building life over with the RFA since you all went into this mess together. 

Saeyoung does slip out a bit during both V and Ray’s Route. It comes from the fact that he’’s trying to figure out who you are. You are a real enigma, you are a puzzle that he cannot figure out and he wants to know who you are. V may be in the realm of trusting you but while he listens, he wants to know for sure and for himself. He plays it with his Seven mask and he does have these moments in the route where you see him falter. 

When he talks to you about missing his brother but not exactly saying it’s his brother, or when he tries to pick your mind to understand you and what is really going on. He was in dark about a lot and so were you, and that means you can find each other in that mess. V didn’t tell him. You lived without knowing about the truth for a while. It just makes sense that you start seeing more and more and more of each other. 

He got a good sense of you when he saved you and V. He knows that you have a big heart and you’re very caring. He knows that you can be trusted, and he can say for sure that he thinks highly of you for keeping yourself together for all the people in the room that needed a voice. He admires that about you. You’re very mature. 

He would try to get to see more of you as they figure out what to do with the RFA next and how to go back to... not to normal, but to start really healing instead of living in the past. He finds himself spending time with you often, and he loves to hear your stories and insight into the world. He feels like he can be himself with you and.. it’s different than the others. He doesn’t have to play a game of mask and fun with you. He can be himself, he’s not hiding. He knows that he can’t get too close... he doesn’t want to be Icarius. 

But, he does want to see you and know you in the ways that you know him. I kind of think that’s the idea that you like here. You like that MC knows who he is from nearly the start and they trust him. You like that there’s no game of him trying to bite down his pain for you. He doesn’t have the time to do that in this situation because there’s Vanderwood, V, and so much going on in his life that it’s crazy. 

Perhaps, that plays into his feelings and how he gets out of the agency to start working with Jumin. Maybe your kindness and belief in him spurred him to try to keep on living life for himself. Maybe it’s the fact that you just make him feel like he’s not living on the edge. It’s hard to say. 

There’s another thing to touch on and that’s the fact that Saeyoung doesn’t know about Ray and you have a sense and a feeling about Ray and his relationship to Saeyoung. Maybe you tell him about the hacker... how he was kind but hurting in that place. Maybe you talk about how you wanted to help him but Rika was too in control of him. Maybe you talk about how he reminded you of Saeyoung. It’s a heavy thought. 

God, anon, it’s going to hurt when V and Ray return and Ray realizes that the person that he loved... his first and his last, was really in love with his brother. Don’t get me wrong, he’ll okay happy that you’re happy but it’s going to hurt him like hell, even though he’s had time to try and heal. But, that’s another thing and I’m not gonna angst this. 

I think there’s a lot of potential with Saeyoung/MC in V’s Route.

Spicy hummed to herself. She wasnt really sure, now that she thought if it, where Saeran could be. She knew kind of knew the layout of where the agency and Seven would meet up to get Saeran and Vanderwood, but she didnt know where he would be at the moment. And speaking of that, would some of them have to stay behind? Because she didnt think that all if them could fit with Saeran and Vanderwood-

She was going to have to talk to Vanderwood again, after she punched him in the face with a rock. Oh ge was going to be angry wasnt he?? Oh fuck oh shit oh fuck oh shit-

"Hey, are you okay?"

Spicy blinked out of her thoughts to see Minji staring at her, slightly worried. "You went kinda pale there."

Spicy nodded, before stating bluntly "It just hit me that I'm going to have to see Vanderwood again after punching him in the face with a rock." Spicy was staring at the ground, a nervous 'oh shit' smile on her face, eyes slightly wide.

That wasn't even a bombshell. Judas rested his hand against Minji's shoulder as she started to mouth with a sense of unease in her spine, "She hit them with a...?"

"Yes. I saw it, right before I managed to save them from tumbling down a cliffside. She likely just realized what all just happened, this shock tends to happen after you've gone through any kind of traumatic incident," he explained, and it just made Minji frown.

She shook her head at that as she was clearly worried about Spicy.

This kid had been trapped in that cult... for God knows how long, and now she was scared of what Vanderwood might do. The fear and the unease was definitely justified but there was no way that she was going to let anything bad happen to her. She may not have been strong in the conventional way like Judas or Saeyoung but that didn't mean that she would go down without a fight protecting someone that she cared about.

She would already consider that for Lila and Spicy. They both were barely hanging on and they had survived for Saeran. So, they needed to bring him back safe.

"Breathe," Minji said, gently.

Spicy sucked in a desperate breath as the dread rose but followed along as Minji told her what to do and how to time ber breathing. At some point, she felt numb and terrified, her palms clutched so tightly they had become white. She had seen and come close to dying so many times but this time, she did it physically and it was far from the mind games Rika played.

Or that Saeran played.

This was real.

She had almost died.

Once again, the realization that this wasn't a game hit her and she couldn't laugh her way out of it.

For a while, she felt like she wasn't even inside of her own. That was when she felt someone nudge her sleeve up, and gasp. "Oh, dear, Judas, I thought you checked to see that she hadn't broken anything. That's a nasty bruise. We need to clean that and wrap it."

"I was kind of in a hurry, darling, Saeyoung had to protect you and Lila."

"Hey, I think the cupcake could have taken on anyone with that much adrenaline. We were alright for you to play nurse to keep her safe and sound," he still cursed and went to find something to help them out from the car.

"...That's the second time someone's called me a cupcake. Is this a Choi thing?"

Spicy cracked a weak smile, looking at the girl with long curls framing her face. "Uhuh, always a cupcake."

Minji scolded her for not minding her breathing but she felt like she was riding the high of the buzz and hopefully, she wouldn't feel the dread of what was to come anymore. She knew in the morning that some of them would face the agency and it wouldn't be pretty.

She didn't want them to get hurt. Vanderwood was no joke anymore. They would kill. They would not hesitate. She prayed Saeran was safe and sound.
