...how do you think the choi twins would feel if they saw their MC had scars? Like if they didnt know at first, but the MC wears shorts and doesnt really do much to hide them unless they are really recent (last couple weeks), and they find out that way? That's what i do... I dont mind my scars, i kinda like them in a weird way, but i cant help but wonder if it makes other people uncomfortable if/when they notice. The cut scars arent as obvious but the scratch ones leave pretty obvious discolouration (on my legs, that is; they are hardly visible on my arms), but all in all i dont think its too easy to realize the scratch scars for what they are unless youre close enough to see all the cut scars. I... I wouldn't say I'm ashamed of them; I'm trying to not care what other people think because it's not a big deal to me, but at the same time i cant help but wonder, if someone were to actually notice, if they would be... uncomfortable or something

TW: Self-Harm

First off, nobody in the RFA will ever judge you for your scars. They won't ask if you don't want to talk but it but they will hope you know that they are always there to talk and they want to make sure you know that you are cherished and that if you ever feel like you need to talk in the middle of the night, they're there to listen to any little thing you have to say. It's not a bother, nor are you.

Saeyoung understands the pain that comes from living through the worst feeling one can ever dare to imagine. He has punished himself before and it wasn't the happiest time in his life, and so, if he were to catch sight of your scars, he would hate that you knew and empathized with that feeling. However, he isn't upset or ashamed of you, he's fully aware of what you must have felt when you did that. It hurts him to think that you suffered at as any point in your life.

You're so kind and caring to everyone. He wants to make sure that you feel safe, secure, and like you never have to do that to yourself ever again.

If you had a relapse, he's not going to judge either. He isn't the type to judge others and he would never do that sort of thing to you, not now, not ever. If you don't bring it up or don't talk about, he doesn't poke at it. He just makes sure that you know that he's there for you. He will remind you that you mean the world to him and if you acknowledge your scars to him, he'll gently kiss all the marks that he can find. He wants you to know that you're beautiful and he cherishes you, scars and all. He has his own scars that he doesn't talk about, but you always gently brush against those and smile reassuringly at him. He hopes to give you that same comfort.

"I love you, Y/N. I hope you know that this doesn't change how I feel about you or how I look at you. I'm so proud of you for surviving, no, thriving in this world on your own. I know how hard it can be and I want you to know that I'm always going to be here for when you need someone to talk to or somebody to cry with. Now, Saeran, on the other hand, he knows how easy it is to hate yourself and how easy it is to feel like there's no other way to feel. He knows the feeling of claws in his scalp and he knows the feeling of nails picking at his forearms to ground himself. He knows now that that didn't help him cope with his problems and that it only made it a lot harder to come down and away from the elixir and everything that hurt him. So, he knows when he sees your scars where they came from and why it was you did it. At least, he has a theory and he won't dare ask you or make you tell him why you felt that way.

He knows that you would never make him talk about it if he couldn't handle it so he gives you the same luxury of space and trust back tenfold.

He does hope that you don't harm yourself anymore and that the scars are old, but you can often feel him grasp at your arms when you're in bed and his thumbs gently rub against the raised skin in small circles. You don't have to say it for him to get it. Saeran doesn't feel the urge himself anymore, but he wants to work on getting better with you. He would never dare judge you for that feeling. He loves you and wants you to feel safe in his arms. He would protect you from any of the demons you have, even the ones that make you feel ashamed.

"...You don't have to tell me about it," he would say quietly. "I understand. I hope that you don't feel that lonely or afraid anymore but I get it if you still do sometimes. I just... want to be here for you like you were there for me. I want to kiss every mark to show you how you'll never be alone again, just like how you kiss me to remind me that we're together. I'm sorry you felt that way once, I just hope you know it's okay to talk to me if you feel that way again."

how do you comfort saeyoung when he has nightmares?

It depends on the nightmare.

He is prone to waking up in the dead of night with a gasp on his lips but he doesn't launch or sit up right away, he just stares because he's trained himself not to show or give a reaction to people because years of thinking the smallest reaction after dozing off will get you killed can really change you. He struggles with PTSD, and flashbacks but he's used to keeping it closed off to the world as long as possible.

He doesn't wanna bother anyone. He was always the big brother, taking care of everything and not letting his tears of fears been seen. He felt like he had to put on a brave face for Saeran and he is prone to doing the same even to this day but he is working on it it more now that he's in a better mental place with you these days. That doesn't mean he doesn't have bad days.

He does.

He has a lot of bad days.

He's just more likely to tell you about them now, whereas he wouldn't have done that sort of thing in the past. So, on those nights where he wakes up in a fit of fear and he can feel his heart racing and bounding. He'll question if he should even wake you up if the panic is that bad, he doesn't want to put you in that position if he can help it, but if it happens.

It happens.

He knows that.

For you, the best thing that you can do whether he wakes you up or you were the one to gently wake him up after you heard pleas and groans from underneath his breath? Hold him. Ask first, consent is important. He may not quite be all there in his mind so you have to give him some time to come back down from the memory and see that you're with him.

Talk to him, gently guide him to tell you where he thinks he is or where he assumes he is. Reassure him of where he is, how safe he is, and that you're there and his brother is in the other room.

He'll sink into your arms not long after that, just letting himself silently cry as you run your fingers through his hair. Kiss the top of his head and do what you can. Hum, sing, tell him anything that you can think of to help ground him and get his mind onto something aside from the nightmare. If he wants to tell you about it, he will, but that may not happen immediately.

Just be there for him. Listen if he needs to vent and urge him to remember that he's safe now & he's free from whatever is scaring him so badly to this point. As long as you're there, that is the important thing. You can learn what is best for him through trial and error! He will not steer you wrongly to help him when he needs it.

I want to cuddle with Seven in the couch during snowy days, to have a pillow fight every night until we grow tired and collapse on the bed looking at the stars projected by the projector Seven and I both made. To go out and dance under the rain with him until we slip on the muddy grass and laugh. You shouldn’t think about him pressing his forehead against yours while there is a fire in the background. You also really shouldn’t think about the way that he cups your face in his hands, nor should you imagine his lips pressed against your own as he chuckles at the brush on your face.

Secret Ending Seven feeling as he watches you sleep next to him as you go on the run to find and hunt down you know who and save the day. He can't believe that he's doing this or that he is changing his life, yours, and everything in it.

He never thought he could feel this happy or free but he wants to cling to this feeling in case it doesn't last. It may not last. He could die so don't wake him from this dream and don't you wake up from yours.
