Choi twins and their differences (HC)

Ok, this is a reflection about how i imagine the twins. 

I thought (and read) that even though they are called identical twins they can have different characteristics because their environment and other factors. I decided to draw this to concrete the idea I have in my mind...basically this is my choi twins headcanon lolol

There aren't many differences, but the ones I thought (on the physical aspect) are their body complexity, height, skin and smile.  If you are interested you can keep reading ^^

During their childhood, I assume they had the same height. Maybe Saeran walked a little stooped, but then, as adults Saeyong became a few cm tall. Thinking about how their daily lives went before they separated (Saeran with a weaker condition than his brother, staying more at home) and after (Seven going to training at the agency, thus eating better and exercising more), I assume this height difference occurred.

Related to this, his complexity is also different: Saeyoung being more muscular (considering his constant outside missions) and Saeran more slim (he spends the whole day programming, barely eating and sleeping). For the same reasons, even their skin color is a few shades different. Saeyoung is tanner than Saeran, though I think after Saeran leaves that place he could also get more tanned, thus closer to Saeyoung's skin color. Now, their smile. Saeyoung has an asymmetrical smile and tends to show his canines, primarily because I like it, but I think he is more used to smile and a more playful smile suits him better (I can imagine him using it to conquer the hearts of his rivals haha). On the other hand, Saeran is not used to smile nor feel confident doing it, so I give Saeran an innocent smile, more timid. With time, this can change obviously.

Extra: Eye color.

Due to the elixir, Saeran's eyes change their color to one similar to that of the elixir. I theorize this tone can be banished with time as long as he doesn't take that poisson anymore. So it goes like this: he has the same yellow eyes as his brother before Mint Eye, then they turn mint-colored because of the elixir, and after he leaves Mint Eye they turn hazel, similar to their original color but retaining green tones.

Some time ago I also made my versions of saeran, now I bring a new one.

Ray has tidier hair (he takes care of his appearance and straightens it), paler skin, dark circles under his eyes and dry and cracked lips. He cared about his appereance (more bcs what the others would say about him) but he life style does't a low him to take proper care of himself.

Saeran (suit-saeran or unknown) follows a similar look, with more marked dark circles under his eyes, but with messy hair, maybe because of all the times he grabs his head out of frustration. He want to difference from Ray's tidiness but his self neglect makes him share many physical characteristcs with him.

Lastly, my image of Saeran post after ending, some time later when he had rested properly. His hair grew back to its original color. The effects of the elixir left his body so his eyes have a color more similar to his brother (more about this >here<. He has slightly lighter locks as traces of his bleaching, his dark circles under his eyes partially faded and his skin regained more color thanks to his healthier lifestyle and more sun exposure.

Since we never see what he actually looks like... I don't think he dresses like Unknown or Suit on his own route. I don't think he bothered to fully change into a new outfit. So he just lost the magenta coat and switched to a tie but kept Ray's vest and pants :D And rolled up the sleeves cuz um. Hi. Hello.

And I feel like this is a good middleground because others may headcanon him to be more like Suit while others may headcanon him to be more like Unknown. I lean towards Unknown but I can see Suit being a possibility as well, both are cool headcanons. And this is kinda giving Christmas Unknown and a little bit of Suit at the same time 👀

I really just wanna hug Ray so much. Hold him. Comfort him after he has a nightmare. Hug him so tightly and gently pet his hair and caress his back and and

Ray's body quivered as he continued to sob into your chest. When he burst into your room not long ago, you didn't know what to say but as soon as you saw the strained look on his face, you knew that what he needed a reminder that it was going to be okay. Even if you could not promise him that tomorrow would be a better day, he needed to hear someone tell him things would be okay someday.

The idea of someday was the glue that held him together when the rest of the world threatened to rip him to shreds.

You knew that as well as you knew how much you loved him. Mint Eye wasn't a place where he could survive day in and day out as a puppet without the promise of his future where he could taste the sweet carrot that had long been used to taunt him. Just one more step, just one more day, and as long as he believed that, there was always a chance it would come true.

It wasn't fair to him, though.

Ray deserved to live in a gentle world where he could taste a carrot without fighting to so much as smell it, much less take a nibble, and for that to happen, you knew he would have to do the unthinkable. It would come down to his decision to stay or go. You wanted to go but you refused to make a break for it knowing he would suffer for it.

The lies of paradise would never satisfy him and until the day he felt ready to believe it, you were willing to fight by his side. To fight for his taste of the carrot.

"It's okay, it's okay," you shushed his tears as best you could but you knew it wouldn't mend his broken heart. He balled up his fists as he held onto your shirt that much tighter. "That woman can't reach you when you're here in my arms, Ray. I promise... that whenever you feel my arms around you, you are safe."

"I'm scared."

"I know, Ray," you whispered. All you could was hope he would feel the hearts and stars you were tracing against his shoulders. His thick coat had been abandoned long before he entered your room, clearly thick with sweat after having been awoken at his desk from a dream that wouldn't stop when he opened his eyes.

"Don't go... don't go... don't go..."

Whatever set him off had clouded his mind, too. You couldn't reason with him when he was terrified out of his wits. He hardly knew where he was or what he wanted to say. You knew Ray wasn't pleading with you to stay. There was someone else, someone who meant the world to him before he met you, and while you didn't know who that was or what they meant to him?

You wouldn't let him believe he wouldn't see them again.

Not when his body led you to him for a reason. He trusted you and you trusted him. If he knew he could be vulnerable enough to say his secret fears, he knew you would take care of him until he came to his senses again. What an honor it was to know he trusted you to hold a piece of his heart rather than the Savior who punished him for crying such agonizing tears.

"I won't go, Ray. I'll stay with you forever."

It was a promise you vowed never to break.

And just this once, Ray seemed to believe it, because his grip loosened as he buried his face against your heart.
