Forgot to mention I had the experience of witnessing an absolutely awful parking job earlier and turning round to look at the driver when the car door opened, thinking “you’d better be goddamn 90 years old” and she was actually goddamn 90 years old

#she pulled up out of absolutely sodding nowhere and drove straight onto the pavement where i was about to walk #blocked the WHOLE pavement #didn’t bother pulling forwards so that she’d be in the disabled parking space in front of the doctor’s; and therefore mostly off #the pavement. didn’t even fully bother pulling fully out of the road. left like 4 inches of car suspended at a diagonal IN the road #so my choices were walk in front of the car where this crazy old bat who clearly cannot frigging comprehend her surroundings #is still sat behind the wheel; or walk BEHIND the car which would’ve required me to walk just fully in the road #the busy road. which attracts MANY dumb drivers #this road has everything of importance in the village so naturally people forget how to behave #i’m amazed no one has straight up crashed into the barriers in front of the co-op yet #anyway i’ve turned around and given a ‘what the fuck’ glance and she’s just there on the pavement with her cane like 👵🏻#well played granny. i aspire to that level of not giving a fuck honestly #personal #and like i truly do not mean to come off as ageist or ableist; but i feel like there has to be a point at which you accept #that YOU CANNOT DRIIIVE #sell the car and use the proceeds to pay for taxis goddamn #it wasn’t an old car. she’d clearly bought it fairly recently. SOMEONE HAD SOLD IT TO HER RECENTLY
