Lucky misunderstanding
word count; 974 – gn!reader I think
Tumblr media
Not usually favouring sports, you’re in the journalism club to make use of your great eye for design and writing. After watching one of your school’s volleyball team’s official games last season, you took notice of the boring brochures they handed out with the players’ information. You hadn’t yet chosen what to do for your project this semester and decided to lend your talents to making a better representation of the team’s charms and talents. What you didn’t expect to get out of the project was a date.
You received permission from their coach and captain and set up some equipment to take your photos in a room adjacent to the gym during practice. Hopefully, you can encourage them all to pose confidently. In order to not disturb their whole practice, you ask one grade to join you at a time, starting with the first-years and ending with the third-years. Good luck!
Tumblr media
Having seen how strategic and tactical Seijoh are on the court, you thought the photoshoot would go by pretty quickly and smoothly. You didn’t account for Yahaba and Kuotani being this difficult. They were egging each other on and making it hard for you to get any shots where they weren’t wearing angry frowns.
That’s why you at least hoped the third years would be easier. Calm, confident and collected.
Well.. they sure were confident. At least you were laughing, watching how they played around and criticised each others’ poses. Iwaizumi seemed to keep his distance, though, only coming out of his shell to throw some comments at Oikawa.
He went last, straightening out his uniform and standing in the spot you wanted him to. “Let’s get this over with.”
You shrugged and held up the camera, but put it down again. He was just staring sternly at the lens. “Could you give me some confidence?” you asked. “Where’s the smug guy that beats everyone in arm wrestling?”
The effect is instant and the other guys are thrilled to spot Iwa’s red ears. “Yea, Iwa! Where are the muscles?” Makki cooed and giggled. You looked away from the boy and down at your hands for a second. Is he mocking you? “Just think of how y/n is staring at you through the lens.” he continued teasing before Mattsun roughly patted his shoulder to make him stop, even though he was chuckling too.
Do they know about your crush? Did you bust yourself with that comment? Have they heard a rumour? How embarrassing! That’s the worry that swirled in your head as you cleared your throat and looked shyly at Iwaizumi. The ace himself nearly growled, pushing his sleeves up and walking towards his friends with a threatening “you three better run” slipping between his teeth.
The boys all took his advice and ran out, clearly terrified of the muscly ace as he started running at them until they were all out of the room. He took in a deep breath and turned back, glancing between you and the floor as he stood in front of you again.
“I’m sorry-“
“I’m sorry.” The two of you said at the same time, making both of you lift your gazes to meet each other’s in surprise.
“Why are you sorry? They were being stupid,” he mumbled with a weak chuckle as if trying to brush it off. You cleared your throat again, looking away and down at the camera.
“You probably just want to get this over with, I didn’t think they would make you uncomfortable,” you rambled, not sure if you should address your crush or leave it unspoken and let the poor boy escape you.
“I’m not! They just know I get… flustered… around you,” he admitted hesitantly, finally meeting your eyes again and tucking his hands in his pockets.
Thinking back, Oikawa had mumbled something about Iwa-chan loving this when you asked him if he approved your project. Your path didn’t cross with Iwaizumi’s that often at school, but when it did you would always stop for a short chat and it would fill you with happy energy for the rest of the day. That’s how you developed your crush, which might have created some inspiration for this project as well.
You were surprised and trying to sort out your thoughts as your mouth opened and closed like a fish. “Let’s just get this over with, forget what I said,” he said, already regretting his little confession when you didn’t respond.
“I thought they were teasing me for my crush on you.” You chuckled under your breath before lifting the camera. All you saw was a very surprised Iwaizumi.
“Huh?”
“Makki kept commenting on how I was looking at you and your freaking muscles and I just thought they must be teasing me for it.” you rambled again, looking away and cursing mentally at how you were never finishing the photoshoot at this rate.
“They were teasing because I like you,” he said, letting the whole sentence out in one breath. You only caught every word because you were desperately listening to him.
“Really?” was all you managed to say, even chuckling a bit at the misunderstanding.
He chuckled too, rubbing his face with both hands before glancing at you to see your reaction. “Really.”
“Then I think you should let me finish my project and take me out on a date later,” you declared, biting the inside of your lip in anticipation.
He straightened up and gave you a determined look. “I like the way you think.”
So you did finish taking the photos, maybe even sneaking in a shy little first kiss before he had to go back to practice. He told you to wait for him after practice and you both parted ways with rosy cheeks.
Maybe just this once he should thank Makki for being so insufferable.

[wjh] taking chances
wen junhui (svt) x reader - wc. 2.1k - genre: angst ish, ex somethings to current somethings (you'll see) - warnings: some cursing i think
you know water. you know how it churns and groans into a storm. how it’s calm on a cool, spring day. how it calls one to it, to watch and be lost in the ebb and flow of the waves. you know water. and it’s because you know water that you know when it’s time to return to it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
jun watches you take your first steps into what used to be home. you watch your feet as they take each of the steps before the entryway, one by one. slowly. you pause before opening the door, hand hovering just above the doorknob that’s so familiar to you both.
“you don’t have to do this, you know.” you tell him abruptly. it’s just a couple bags. i can take it from here.”
jun watches you closely as you say it. the way your lips turn down and voice gets breathier at the end of each sentence, as if the words are losing their steam halfway between your throat and your mouth. your hair looks the same as it did when you moved away. your eyes are a couple years older, but still hold the sunlight the way they did when you guys were 14. for a quiet, blissful moment, jun lets himself believe that you haven’t changed. that you’re still the you that left your sleepy hometown for university. still the you that told jun maybe the two of you could try again whenever you got back. the same you that said nothing when he asked if you even plan on coming back. he looks for the scar you got when you were younger, playing volleyball on the beach after school. he can’t find it.
he clears his throat. things have changed.
“i don’t mind.” is all he says before you open the door home.
he sees you again at the bonfire that night, a tradition in your hometown to signify the start of summer that always falls on the first friday in may. a small thing for locals to enjoy before the town is overrun with tourists and the beautiful beaches are filled with strangers at every turn.
you’re talking to jihoon, catching up and showing him something on your phone. you look like an entirely different person than the one he left this morning. earlier, your entire face was tight and scrunched up, the way it always did during exams. but now, you look calmed, relaxed, jaw finally unclenched and shoulders down. jihoon says something to make you laugh, and jun can hear the sound all the way from the other side of the fire, over soonyoung’s yells at chan and over his own heart. the bonfire flashes in his face, chan yells back at soonyoung, and you’re left with a smile. jun feels a warm rush run from his head to his arms. he swallows it down with a gulp of his drink.
you catch his eyes across the beach, eyebrows raising a tiny bit and drink lifted to him. a small hello thrown across the chaos of the bonfire and all your friends. his feet are leading him towards you before he can even think to stop them.
“hey.” you smile, clinking your bottle against his cup.
“hi.” he returns, taking another sip.
“i think i’ve officially said hi to everyone now.” you declare, staring out at the group. jun wonders what must be running through your mind right now. are you thinking of the friends you made at university? are you wishing it was them here with you right now instead of him?
but then you watch jeonghan and wonwoo race across the beach followed by them arguing whether jeonghan cheated or not, and say, “i missed this.”
you wave away the smoke that drifts over from the fire and tap your index finger against the neck of your beer. jun says, “me too.”
the two of you stand there for a while. you watching the fire grow. jun watching you. he’s instantly transported back to your last bonfire here. the one right after graduation, during which you found out that you got into a university a thousand miles away. jun wishes he had the foresight to be happy for you, to recognize that you got into your dream program at your dream school. he wishes he had celebrated with you, with everyone, relished in the bittersweet knowledge that this would be your last bonfire together like this. but jun hadn’t. instead, jun took you aside and told you that school would be hard, too hard maybe. that maybe you should reconsider. maybe you should be like the ones before and go to a university close enough to home to visit every other weekend. and underneath the million reasons he gave you to not go was the confession that he had been holding back since the start of that year, a wildcard that maybe you saw coming or maybe you didn’t. either way, when he finally told you how much he liked you, how he had for so long, you didn’t say it back. you didn’t even acknowledge any of the bullshit reasons he gave before. instead, you kissed him softly, an overwhelmingly high school press of lips together, and told him, you’re sorry. not now, but maybe later.
you catch him staring. is it later now?
"what?" you ask with a laugh.
jun shakes his head quickly. “no, nothing. just…” he lets out a breath, averting his eyes from your questioning gaze. “we really missed you while you were gone.”
you roll your eyes. “you act like i’m the only one that left home. seungkwan and minghao also moved away.”
“true.” he admits, at which you let out a small ‘thank you’ under your breath. “but you were the first.”
and there’s something in the way jun says it that makes your lips part, readying to say something in response, but nothing comes out. you gulp down whatever you really wanted to say and replace it with a quiet. “well, i’m back now.”
jun squints at you, remembering how badly you wanted to leave at the end of high school, remembering how upset you were this morning at the reality of being back. jun doesn’t stop to think of it another way. he doesn’t stop to conjure up some other reason for the way you were acting this morning versus how you seem to be now. instead, he gives it the same one he gave himself 4 years ago to answer why you left–”but you hate this place.”
your entire body is visibly taken aback by the question, or maybe the bluntness of it. and when jun sees the way your face contorts into something akin to offense, he finds himself wanting to chase after the reckless words and shove them back inside his stomach. 4 years later and jun still doesn’t know which words are the right ones to say. 4 years later and he still resents you for leaving.
you never get to answer the question. instead, joshua appears quoting a line from twilight and dragging you away complaining that you hadn’t come to say hi to him yet.
you watch jun as you walk off, sourly muttering, “i guess i forgot one.”
the only thing jun can think of then is how selfishly he stole the smile from your face.
jun doesn't really talk to anyone else for the rest of the bonfire. he teeters around the edge only conversing if someone else initiates it first and watching you converse happily with everyone else. he turns his gaze away from you and to the sea. he watches the water crumble against the sand and crawl back into the ocean, over and over again. there’s comfort in the image and in the sound. it’s why his family moved here . it’s why every summer tourists flock here and stay for months complaining of the day they must inevitably go back. all jun’s life, he’s only known people to enter. enter his life, his space, his routine. and when you left for university, it was the first time in his life that someone had left.
“hey,” seokmin says, sitting down next to jun in the sand, “look at this.”
seokmin hands jun an old photograph. it was hardly a very sentimental photo, rather an old class picture from when jun was either 10 or 12. one of those forced smiles and terribly timed pictures every class was forced to take once a year. at the time of this picture, jun was friends with soonyoung and no one else. but on the other side of the class stands you and wonwoo. best friends at this age. that makes him smile.
he looks up to thank seokmin, who is already gone, dancing with mingyu to some song blasting through the speakers.
jun goes back to the picture, enraptured in a life that used to be his. when he does looks up, he finds himself face to face with you.
“can i sit?” you ask casually. like you guys haven’t been in this weird stalemate for the past four years. he nods, and you do.
you point to jihoon in the old school photograph, snickering, “god, look at his hair.”
jun takes a good look at it, laughing at the bowl haircut, complete with a gravity defying cowlick in the back. “i don’t know how his parents let him leave the house like that.”
you point out some other classmates, asking what they’ve been up to. jun fills you in on all of them. but eventually, you run out of classmates, and the picture starts to feel like another reminder of what could have been instead of what is. jun chooses to look back at the water.
“do you still surf?” you ask him quietly.
“not really.” he answers, biting back the memory of trying to teach you at 15.
“jun.” you say with a voice that forces him to finally look your way. he does, and he feels as stupidly enamored as he did at 17. “i know you don’t understand why i left, but i don't hate this place. i never…” you gulp, looking for the words in the air between you and him. you find it in the photograph still nestled in his hands. “how could i hate it here?” you say, gesturing to 10 year old you, “this is my home.”
“tell me again then,” jun begins, wondering inwardly if he should even be speaking anymore, “why you had to leave it so bad?”
you shake your head. “i had a chance i had to take.”
jun doesn’t say anything back. you place a hand on his knee.
“i hate that leaving made it so weird between us.”
jun stares at your hand on his knee silently.
“i want us to go back to the way we were.”
you scoot closer to him. he shivers.
“don’t you?”
suddenly, he can feel your breath hitting the base of his neck. his entire body is frozen in place, watching your eyes flutter shut, watching his lips hover beside yours.
finally, he gets the massive kick in the gut he needs to ask, “why’d you come back?”
you meet his eyes, and there’s a million subliminal messages in them when you say, “there was one more chance i wanted to take.”
the confession is a spell, compelling jun to let you kiss him and allowing himself to kiss you back. and this kiss, in stark contrast to the one you both shared at your last bonfire, has nothing high school about it. it’s four years of wanting and longing crushed into a tangle of tongue and lips. it’s biting and breathless. you pull at his knee. he grabs the back of your neck.
when you do finally pull away, you’re smiling again. jun is too. you keep your face right next to his, breathing him in, taking him in for all his wrong words and bitterness.
somewhere in the back of his mind, jun knows that he’d always let you have him like this. and beneath that, buried under the rush of the kiss, he knows that you won’t want him like this for long. he knows he’s only a blip of a hometown romance in a life that’s foreign to him and has been since the moment you left.
but that doesn’t stop him from drinking you in, pulling your face back to his and letting his tongue run over your teeth. it doesn’t stop him from giving himself up to you over and over again.
jun is just another chance for you to take. and as long as it’s there, he prays you take it.

I'm so happy to find someone who focuses on the male reader 🙏 (I usually read both, but the male one is rarer to find)
can i request some headcanons of Angry/Souya or Kuroo with a reader who speaks Brazilian Portuguese at some moments? like when he's angry or something (you can add some swear words if you want)
Ya want it? Ya got it! 👀👌🏻✨️ (Also, I am sorry if there's any mistake in the Portuguese sentence at some points, I didn't study this language and I am using Google Translator🙏)
Also I hope it will be good and that I didn't mess up anything xD

Tumblr media
KUROO:
● You can be sure that there is never enough fun with him. The guy literally does everything to make you choke with laughter.
● When he found out you were Brazilian. Kuroo would make his signature smirk and then start taunting you. (make you swear. I don't know why but I think he finds Portuguese quite a funny language.)
● I wouldn't mind if he started learning single words in Portuguese. Picture this: Kuroo and you are sitting next to each other in your/his room, studying for a test. Then the spiky haired man took the math book from the floor and said "It's time for matemática"! but his accent sounded terrible, almost like he did that on purpose to see ya get annoyed(true). So you gave him an irritated look and then correct him, "MATEMÁTICA, seu idiota."
● You and Tsukishima are officially enemies. Because Kei irritates you, pure tradition✨️
● Once Kuroo was at volleyball practice, along with Bokuto and Tsukishima and you. The boy looked at you and Kei, hearing him teasing you and you fiercely defending yourself. However, the moment Saltyshima overstepped, you started screaming: "SEU ESTÚPIDO, SE NÃO CALAR A BOCA EU VOU TE MATAR! você vê esse cara? você vai conseguir antes de conseguir, seu maltrapilho!"
● It's safe to say that Kei was visibly scared when you suddenly started shouting in Protuguese and swinging the shoe you had taken off your foot at him. Also Bokuto got scared, he hid under the box with volleyball balls. (Imagine that xDDD)
● Kuroo was laughing his ass off, like the hyena he is. He just loves when you speak Portuguese.
● He's the type of guy who will dance with you to the brazilian songs and other in the middle of city or park.
● You two often do play fighting.
● He once hit ya with a ball accidently and the next thing he knows was he running for his life.

Volleyball update!!!
I have completely forgotten about updating my progress! Just came to think about it today and though I give a word from myself.
So volleyball is still fun. A lot of fun. I always look so much forwards to practice. It's so fun for me and our new coach is also very engaged with the team.
In last update, I think I told you guys that I had moved teams and got to play setter. Well, I have the infamous knee problems that comes with volley and needed to step down on the practice amount...so no official setter on the team here haha. Like, I struggled up the stairs in the worst of it. Felt like an old woman, so I had to cut down on practice and needed to stat building the strength and stability up again. But now, they are much better and doesn't hurt too much. Of course, I get the pain her ache here and there, but at least I can function normally.
But I still love playing setter. It's an hard position to learn, but it's a very rewarding thing at the same time. My backwards sets are also very accurate now. I still struggle with knowing exactly the height and position like I do with regular sets-...but the only way to get better at it, is just pass backwards sets.
Since I'm a lot more comfortable on the court now, I get to play around a lot. I can dump, I can set back or forwards or I can run up and pretend that I'm setting; only to spike it over the net in the same jump. It's a lot of fun.
It' very fun when I manages to fool the other team, but it's very fun when my team also get tricked by me just playing around. It's also very fun that I can try out new things and it doesn't affect my team negatively. Like we are only practicing, but just the feel of confidence on the court is world changing for me. Like, I'm not scared to try out new things just for the heck of it.
When we just play normal rotation, I have become a lot more comfortable with feints too and can read the block better to work my way around it. I have even managed to time my attack too, so I don't spike when the block is at the highest reach! I'm also getting better at a spike in the back (before the three meter mark). But when I'm not playing setter or we only play with normal rotation- the others aren't too comfortable setting to the back, so I don't get to do it too often.
Also, not to sound like the biggest weeb here (but I run a HQ blog so...) but I do kind of understand Kyotani in S2 when he said he got restless when he didn't get to spike the ball. I get like that too when I haven't touched the ball for a few rallies and then when it comes my way- I get so excited and just wants it it and I often mess up. I'm such a kid really.
I do still want to increase my vertical jump, so I can get better at both hitting but also blocking. That is a department I'm lacking. It's like I have all the technique down, I just lack the vertical reach I want.
I can also get better at pancake and digs. Sometimes I time it perfectly, but I'm often a little bit to late. So I do want to get a lot better at it, since even as a setter- you can get hard passes that just needs to get up.
My servers are very stable now. When I fail a serve, I always know the reason. Either I didn't throw it high enough or I didn't hit it correctly. I can always managed to fix it when it's my turn again. I want to try the jump serve or even a floater. Fun fact; I did actually managed float serve with underhand serve when I could only do that. I was known for my underhand serves for a while there in competition. Don't let anyone tell you that they can't be useful and cool.
There was also one time, we played mix and I was going to set the ball- and I came under the ball wrong and like all of my bones just cracked. They stopped the game and wondered if I broke something. I didn't, but they were sprained. Nothing that some sports tape can't fix. Seriously though, they were messed up for a few months because I still played. So take care of ya bones, peeps. Message from me <3
My team is mixed with a few people that have some experience and some that have been a few years out of the sport. So we focus a lot on getting the team dynamic down, but to be completely honest- the team is not that close. Some players have quit and new ones have come. And the feeling of the team is a little more detached (in a way). It's kind of sad, since we were such a close group before. I try to be a positive source, but it's hard when the team itself doesn't really come along like we have in the past. There have recently started a new girl, and the two of us play together well and it's nice with someone fresh that also just want to enjoy practice and doesn't freeze people out.
I did try some beach volley in the summer. We have a lot of beach courts in my city. Once even just five minutes away. I'm still not used to it. I keep thinking on digging the ball, but I can't slide and I just knock the breath out of my system. I'm a little scared to do the spike approach, because I have a weak left ankle after breaking it too times and uneven surfaces are my enemy. Not preferred, but it's a lot of fun still. I do still learn a lot from it. Really, I can understand why the sand volleyball players (and hinata) becomes so good at receives. Because, with sand volley- you do need to be where the ball is to make it easier for you and your partner.
Anyway, that was that. I still love the sport and if it was up to me- I would play it every day. Like, I played volleyball for like five or six hours once (no wonder I have knee problems) but I can go on forever I people want to play with me.

Did you know? #5 : The Voice Behind Haikyuu's Inspiring Coach and His Final, Uplifting Message
"The interesting thing about coaching is that you have to trouble the comfortable, and comfort the troubled."
Is there any sports team without a coach (be it an official one or not)? A coach is more than just a strategist or a trainer; they are the cornerstone of a team's development, morale, and performance. Our beloved underdog team, Karasuno, had their dedicated coach, Ukai Sensei (2.0), supporting them through their journey!
Ukai Keishin was voiced by Tanaka Kazunari. It is said that voice actors must deeply understand their characters before lending their voices to them—a special connection is made between them and the character. It's pretty known that anime characters are heavily influenced by their voice; if there's a mismatch, the emotional impact can be diminished, no matter how compelling the storyline. And it can be even worse when the voice suddenly changes!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Did y'all notice the change in Ukai Sensei's voice anywhere between the show? Because Egawa Hisao, another very accomplished artist, became the voice of Ukai Sensei from Haikyuu! season 3 episode 9.
The reason?! Actually, the original voice actor, Tanaka Kazunari passed away on October 10, 2016 due to Brain Stem Hemorrhage. Fans were sad indeed but if you look back to his last episode, namely Season 3 Episode 8(which aired nearly a month and a half after his death on November 26, 2016).. you'll see something truly poignant. What was this episode about now?
This episode(Called An Annoying Guy) showed us the final set of Karasuno Vs. Shiratorizawa! We all remember the nervousness, stakes and the importance of this match, right??!! The atmosphere nearing the end of the ep. was real tense with the karasuno boys looking dejected but then, we have Ukai sensei, saying what would come to be one of his most iconic lines throughout the manga and anime, "Don't you dare look down! Volleyball is a sport where you're always looking up!" ..did you get chills then..I did🙋🏻‍♀️...and guys, this was the last line of late Mr. Tanaka... its really inspirational and fitting.. Anyways, this line really broke the players out of their nervous state and then we had Tsukki coming back to play... and we all know what happens next😊

I think we all would like to thank him for his contribution to our beloved anime!
So anyways... byee guys!! I hope you look forward to more such facts in the future too!

GUESS WHO'S DONE WITH THE SEMESTER AND READY TO BINGE ALL OF HAIKYUU OVER CHRISTMAS
THAT'S RIGHT! IT'S ME! I'M THE BITCH WHO'S DONE WITH THE SEMESTER AND READY TO BINGE ALL OF HAIKYUU OVER CHRISTMAS! I researched and wrote a five page paper in the span of about four hours today and that was the last thing I had to do because my acting professor cancelled our final meeting (he cancelled a lot this semester so I am not surprised...)
ANYWAY! I got through to episode 17! So let's talk about some stuff.
Kageyama is the least subtle guy on the team and I love him for it. Bless that socially awkward boy. I kind of love that he can acknowledge that Oikawa is good (because he is) but he's not letting it get him down anymore. YOU'RE DOING GREAT, SWEETIE!
Tsukki!!!! First of all, top tier comedy of him hitting Hinata's diarrhea pressure point and then just walking away. Hina's probably fine. I also love that he actually took Akiteru up on his offer! You can clearly see that this is great practice for Tsukki and it's very satisfying to watch him grow. Also, good old sibling bonding! It's what I live for!
I know I just saw them literally yesterday but IT'S NEKOMA AND FUKURODANI! MY OTHER BOYS! I'm glad that they're consistently scattered in throughout the show. They're all so great and have such nice relationship with the Karasuno boys that it would be a shame if we only got to see them during things like the training camp or official games. ALSO NOT KUROO AND DAICHI BREAKING MY HEART WITH THE "the dumpster battle is the last chance for us" THING. DON'T FUCKING REMIND ME, KUROO! I'VE LITERALLY ALREADY WATCHED YOUR DUMPSTER BATTLE AND IT MADE ME EMOTIONAL! DO YOU WANT ME TO CRY AGAIN, KUROO?
I enjoy training montages very much and I was really excited to see Yamaguchi seemingly pull off a serve against Nishinoya. I can't wait to see him successfully jump float serve in an official game. I'm going to have to take a lap around whatever room I'm in when that happens.
YES I DID SPEND TWO MORE EPISODES BEING THIRSTY FOR TERUSHIMA. I SAW HIM AND WENT "oh my god it's the sexy guy." Spent the entire Karasuno/Johzenji match kicking my feet twirling my hair every time he did something cool.
Stepping away from Terushima for a minute- THE BATHROOM SCENE. H E L P. I'D SEEN IT BEFORE BUT I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS THIS SOON IN THE SERIES. SOMEONE SAVE HINATA LMAO. I like Iwaizumi a lot, honestly. One of the people who will call Oikawa on his bullshit and who can actually get through to him. Also AONE! MY BIG QUIET BABY! I LOVE HIM! I LOVE HIM MUCHO (oh by the way I got a 57% on my Spanish final lol).
I like Tsukki's new glasses! I like them even more because 1. Akiteru gave them to him and 2. because apparently he's had them a while and Hinata's been consistently complimenting them every day. Underrated hilarious duo.
So, back on the Karasuno/Johzenji match. That was a fun one. You never really doubt that Karasuno is going to win (even if you don't already know the spoilers), but it's still an entertaining match. I have massive respect for Johzenji's manager! She whipped them into shape better than their coach could! And I'm really glad that by the end of the game, they realized her value and gave her the appreciation and thanks she deserved. They also had some wild plays during the game and those were fun. Their failed attempt at a synchronized attack at the end of the first set had me rolling. And I enjoyed seeing Karasuno use their whole arsenal of weapons against Johzenji! I knew nothing about volleyball (other than the basic stuff they teach you in P.E.) prior to watching this show but now I'm invested. I perk up every time volleyball is on at the gym.
FANTASTIC BLOCK, KAGEYAMA. NO NOTES. WELL, ONE TINY NOTE: DON'T BLOCK WITH YOUR FACE. In all seriousness, poor baby. I'm always glad to see Suga get to play, though! And I love that Yamaguchi was the one who shoved Kageyama away from the game so that he could get his nose checked out.
Daichi is a fantastic captain. You see that a lot, but it was really highlighted in the Johzenji match and it's been like that so far in the Wakutani match as well. I WONDER WHAT THE TEAM WILL DO WITHOUT HIM NOW THAT HE'S FUCKING DEAD-
Yachi remains a flaming homosexual (I see you looking at Saeko's boobs, girl) and I love her. This is my gay daughter, Yachi Hitoka, everyone.
THE SOUND THAT WAS MADE WHEN DAICHI COLLIDED WITH TANAKA HELP PLEASE- God, that was a terrible sound. And I know he's fine. I've seen all the "RIP dead Daichi" jokes. Daichi's only a little dead. BUT THAT ONE SHOT OF HIM JUST LAYING COMPLETELY STILL ON THE GYM FLOOR WAS NOT OKAY FOR MY MENTAL HEALTH ALRIGHT. BLOOD LITERALLY WENT COLD. THE LOOK ON EVERYONE'S FACES (barring Tanaka who is not taking this seriously) DID NOT HELP. I GOTTA WATCH THAT NEXT EPISODE BEFORE I GO HOME TOMORROW BECAUSE THE CLIFFHANGER OF DEAD DAICHI IS GOING TO KEEP ME UP TONIGHT.
Speaking of which, yes, I'm going to be heading home for break tomorrow! I've got about a month off, so I should have time to watch a lot more! I'm not totally sure I'll be able to keep up these big reaction posts, but I'll try! If I don't end up keeping them up, I'll make one when I get back! If that's the case, I'll see you all in the new year!

Part II of Pokemon OC Showcase: Brava
pt I
note again all pokemon OCs shown are half-/asian
Warning: I am bad at talking about my OCs,,
Tumblr media
alright where do I start with this mf
She's tall (6'3), brown-skinned, blue-haired, blue-eyed, and has tattoos on her left arm and right leg (I forgot to add them and my ass cannot find my sketchbook please help 💀)
the second symbol is the official symbol for Hidro/Water-Types in general in Rhegaia, while the first symbol is her personalized symbol-piece that she wears (similar to Nicole's neckpiece)
She lives in Hidro, the Water-Type centered city-state of the region of Rhegaia, and she works as a volleyball coach in addition to being a gym leader
She was born though in Blazira, the neighboring Fire-Type city-state next to Hidro, and she's siblings with their gym leader, Strata.
Her mom did come from Hidro
Brava also plays Ar'enon, which is based on real-life kick volleyball, or sepak takraw (sport from Asia where you can't use your arms/hands LMAOOOO) and she did teach it to some of her fellow gym leaders who wanted to try
She's very athletic and wanted to be an athlete before being a gym leader - the gym leader thing just slowly creeped into her life when more Water-Type Pokemon were drawn to her and her battling skills were top notch like her athleticism
She does care for her Pokemon - her first was Magikarp, who she brought in after it got lost during a storm
She did know it was gonna turn into a gyrados at some point but she didn't really care for that fact all that much
She's always focused on bringing out the full potential of people, whether or not it's her students, her pokemon, the challengers, or even her fellow gym leaders
She's pretty chill in general and is the older-sister figure of the group, but she knows when to act and when to take things seriously
Will say "so when are you guys getting married" (expressed in a deadpan way) out of the blue jokingly to her brother and sister-not-by-law(-yet) just to get a rise out the two of them
She doesn't joke a lot so when she does it hits you like a freight train because of how smooth yet sudden it is
Wrestles with Strata and he still loses (even in the height game pray for my boy) but she never undermines him and always acknowledges his achievements cuz she knows that boy already undermines himself sometimes
Like I said very chill, sometimes serious, but we do a little tomfoolery in this household
"see I told you you could get a girlfriend" immediate water spit "BRAVA"
"see I told you you'll meet your idol one day" (in front of said idol 💀) "BRAVA"
"see I told you I'll come back." "Brava..."
Remember that line.
Anyways she's respectful of nature and traditions, and she'll always respect one's dedication and hard work in proving themselves and shit
she's kinda religious due to the fact she's literally living amongst "gods" (with two being actual deities)
Had an enemies-to-best friends arc with Ghost-Type gym leader VERONA DONNA (inside joke) and is the "girl r u serious" to Verona's "omg I'm in love with her ♥️♥️" *pointing to red flag* (nah I'm kidding her love interest isn't that much of a red flag but still is kinda ehh)
Helped out Randi (Fairy-Type Gym leader) in their first years when they were still trying to get used to everything
Anyways so TEAMS
basically (game concept) gym leaders in Rhegaia will change their teams depending on your levels/route (mode) taken (easy/hard more etc)
Official Team:
Rhegaian Gyarados ♂️ [Magi] (also called Magiksarap as a joke by Strata)(Pinoy brethren you know) (Water/Dragon)
Rhegaian Kingdra♀️[Coral] (Water/Dragon)
Rhegaian Starmie♀️[Sar] (Water/Psychic)
Rhegaian Basculegion♀️[Owa] (Water/Electric)
Rhegaian Primarina♀️[Rayna] (Water/Fighting)
Rhegaian Sarmurott ♂️ [Uro] (Water/Fighting)
Easier/Early Team (when you first fight her)
Eelektrik ♂️ [Musmus] (Water/Electric)
Wytoa ♂️ [Loi] (Water/Fighting) [fakemon!]
Tokapex♀️[Hidi] (Water/Poison)
She considers this team to be her "mentees", with Wytoa being also their mentor.
And then spoilers
HISUIAN TEAM (everyone is Hisuian)
Basculegion♀️[Yu]
Bibarel ♂️ [Hyoko]
Psyduck ♂️ [Uka]
Gyarados ♂️ [Popo]
Samurott ♂️ [Liq]
Clefable♀️[Moka]
Sighs
So how the hell did this happen huh?
Time to infodump about brava's definitely amazing adventures in hisui
Okay so basically while Brava was working on paperwork and shit during after-hours she suddenly got sucked into a portal underneath her and passed out
And she got found out by Ingo and she could've actually almost died in the cold if it wasn't for him
And she's like "what the fuck is that you Ingo" and surprise surprise he's like "huh??"
For context basically Unova and Rhegaia has this cross-battle event where they got the gym leaders and other battle facility leaders to fight each other and Brava and Ingo battled (I'm not gonna say who won)
Anyways Ingo tells Brava where she is and Brava takes it very well (read: has a panic attack while thinking about her family back home)
Anyways so Ingo is like "this woman knows about me" and holds back from asking questions about the life that disappeared from his memories and focuses on comforting her instead
Brava literally stays up the entire night looking blankly at the frosted window and ofc Ingo is concerned TM
Anyways Ingo takes her to the Pearl Clan Settlement so Irida could know what to do with her and Brava is so fucking SILENT
Ingo is legit freaking out inside like wtf does he do with her LMAO
Inside Brava just wants to scream and cry
Irida is like "holy shit another one" and asks Brava questions but all she gets is one sentence answers and shit
Irida tells Ingo to hold onto Brava for a moment while they try to figure out what to do with her
That isolation/depression be really hitting Brava hard at this point but suddenly a storm comes and Brava takes a Magikarp home and she cries (it reminds her of Magi YK her Gyarados former magikarp)
Anyways that specific magikarp now named Popo becomes her emotional support and Brava becomes fucking DETERMINED to get back home at any cost
She tells Ingo that she's from the future and he is too (turns out he disappeared one week before her) and it manages to make him hesitantly decide to join her (with irida's permission and everyone saying goodbye)
Ingo does ask questions tho about his old life and it just hits Brava just how lost this man might've been throughout his years in Hisui
Also on the topic of years Brava freaks out inside again because this man just disappeared ONE WEEK before her and now it turns out he already went three years in this place???
How many years is she going to spend in this damned region too before she finds a way to get home??? If she even manages to get home before she dies or forgets about it??
anyways Brava finds a Psyduck freezing in the cold and takes him in and names him Uka
a Clefable also takes to her and Brava adopts takes her in as well
Brava does manages to immediately professionally teach Psyduck, Clefable, and Magikarp moves and Magikarp managed to evolve into a Gyarados in just some weeks 💀
Brava's older sister instincts just slowly take over and teaches Ingo some skills (also freaks out the people over just how tall and strong she is managing to break rock using her feet)
Ingo in return guides her through Hisui
Brava cannot stand Melli and immediately lights a fire using the materials she has when he removes the torches
"Let's battle!" (immediately destroys him and leaves)
(both Ingo and melli are speechless (especially melli he will vow to destroy Brava))
(too bad Brava doesn't have beef with him spoilers: she got beef with Volo)
Anyways since I'm too lazy with details Brava gets an Oshawott and Bibarel in the journey, she and Ingo connect over being sent back to the past, and they actually manage to interact with Akari in Jubilife Village
Also Kamado Brava understands where he's coming from but gets into a loud verbal argument with him when he banishes Akari
when Brava sees Volo she immediately gets MAD SUS
Ingo is like "why" and Brava just says "sus vibes" though ofc she keeps it to herself mostly, but does observe Volo's behavior
Also she's increasingly erratic sometimes and she's trying to calm herself down from stress of overthinking
Anyways so Ingo and Brava are actually there when Akari is about to battle Volo and Ingo and Brava find out bro was the reason why they're stranded in Hisui in the first place
Brava is like "let's battle"
"Why are you pulling your pokemon out? I never said anything about a Pokemon battle."
Ingo could stop her but he just doesn't and he and Akari watch as Brava disarms him and knocks him out (held herself back at the last moment) and so they just deliver him to the village to get arrested
Brava confides in Ingo just how scared she is because shes noticing how her sanity is slightly slipping when she was literally about to beat the living shit out of Volo (Ingo holds himself back from saying "could've continued doing so")
Ingo reflects on his life currently and the life he once had and he can't sleep and Brava notices and they talk it out
Anyways it leads to them both screaming at the top of their lungs towards the sky and Brava is like "DAMN" when Ingo's voice is loud asf
Anyways so Brava and Ingo decide to go to Paldea first just to see if Area Zero just might work in their favor
Brava and Ingo manage to get a hold of a mail department and they write a letter to their siblings (Emmet and Strata), making sure the department PRESERVES those letters and delivers them on that said date
Ingo gets really emotional and he cries and keeps pausing while writing his letter because he feels so much guilt over not remembering Emmet and how Emmet must've felt all this time while waiting for him to come back
I do have his letter written out but I'm not gonna post it lmao 🫰
Brava helps him get through it and they continue going to Area Zero
Brava tells Ingo about Rhegaia and what it's probably currently going through rn (the 1800s in Rhegaia was the start of the Pokemon Human War and everything) which is why she didn't opt for Rhegaia and Ingo is like "...damn (wtf)"
Ingo asks if Arceus cares about them and that actually got them both thinking for a while before continuing to Area Zero
Anyways ofc they continue to write letters, have interactions and adventures and shit, and finally reach Area Zero
Kinda emotional because they both don't know where the hell Area Zero might just take them and they pray it'll just be alright (I made it so that the machine was built to kinda stabilize area zero's time travelling properties and it wasn't built yet)
They hug it out y'all (they're best friends at this point AND NO i made Ingo a not sexual creature /j and Brava as well is aroace) just to try not to think about what the consequences might happen
AND THEY MANAGE TO COME BACK
it's been two years in the present but both emmet and strata are absolutely ruined and wrecked (especially emmet) and actually managed to find each other and deteriorate together /jjjj (platonic)
"see I told you I'll come back." "Brava..."
Everyone's like "HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS ARE BACK" and everyone cries and reunite and shit because god that was stressful and grievious for everybody
Brava helps Ingo readjust to his old life and they do stay friends
They're completely bonded at this point due to experiences (some near-death) and emmet takes some time getting used to Brava but does thank her for being with Ingo during that time
Ingo is just immediately accepted by Strata and strata is like "you're invited to all our family lunches bro DO NOT STAY OUT OF OUR SIGHT."
and yeah they're invited to his wedding (HOLY SHIT WEDDING??)
brava and Ingo manage to get their old and new teams to bond and be together
Ingo misses the Pearl clan tho and always remembers them and tells Emmet about them
Btw Ingo and Brava joke about the entire thing casually to challengers (making sure it's not in front of their siblings)
I might add more things to Brava but this it for now GOODBYE
Thanks for reading

Genshin x fem!reader [Volleyball Team AU - Inspired by Haikyuu!] He introduces S/O to the team
Before you read this, might be a good idea to read the introduction first. To give you the whole low-down of the team and their dynamicsssss.
Other works in the Volleyball Team AU Series: Click Here
Scenario: You and him have been dating for a while now. Why does the team not know and what’s their reaction in finding out/when he introduces you?
Warnings: AU if that’s not your thing then don’t read, not proofread...as usual.
#1 Zhongli (Captain/Wing Spiker/Ace)
You’ve been dating for nearly 5 months at this point. Beforehand the two of you were close friends. So the team kind of already knew you guys were close, but you’d never met the team properly.
It’s not that he was HIDING your relationship, its that he didn’t want to pressure you into meeting his team. They could really be an overwhelming bunch of high schoolers sometimes.
As it happens he walks to the gym hand in hand with you one day, his other hand on his duffel sports bag, thinking that he’d be the earliest one there as always.
But when he slides the gym doors open his WHOLE TEAM greets him “CAPTAIN!” and then there’s an awkward silence that descends as they all catch him with his hand intertwined with yours.
KAEYA AND TARTAGLIA LOSES IT. “C-Captain, you had a girlfriend and didn’t tell us?!” “You finally made a move on her?!” “S’about time!”
Needless to say they both get knocked on the head by Zhongli’s fist.
Zhongli sighs and turns to you apologetically but you say that you don’t mind meeting them. He perks up and claps his hands to ask his team to line up.
They do so diligently. Kaeya, Tartaglia and Thoma are giddy while looking at you. Xiao and Kazuha have their mouth slightly agape as if you’re some kind of rare species. Diluc and Albedo stare you down.
You introduce yourself as Zhongli’s gilrfriend and as you do so Tartaglia’s eyes dart towards Zhongli who has a slightly shy expression on his face.
“Oh, oh question time!” Thoma raises his hand “Does the captain secretly eat sweets behind our back?” You haven’t even answered when Kaeya asks “Does the captain ever glare at you (he mimics Zhongli’s face) and say 10 Push ups NOW!” Surprisingly Diluc raises his hand too “...Is the captain strict with you too?”
Zhongli gets irked the more questions are asked and he finally steps in with an ominous presence. “10 laps around the gym...NOW!”
He apologizes to you again but you reassure him it’s totally fine and they all seem like such fun.
#2 Diluc (Vice Captain/Wing Spiker/Defense Specialist)
The vice captain is a very secretive guy.
Not even his brother knew.
It’s not that he was ashamed of you, he just liked his privacy and you already knew that.
But there was this one time where he forgot his textbooks under his desk and you had to go and give it to him while he was at practice.
Shyly looking into the door the first one that spots you is Albedo.
“...Do you need something?” you tense up at Albedo’s question and shakily hand him the textbooks.
“U-Uhm... D-Diluc’s...”
Albedo tilts his head and turns to shout at the team. “Someone’s looking for the vice captain,”
Everyone stops what they’re doing and snaps there head towards you.
Diluc jogs over, sweat still fresh on his forehead. Without thinking he takes the books from you, small smile on his face and thanks you.
The rest of his team freezes up all thinking: “Hold on, is he...SMILING?”
You’re oblivious to them staring and give him a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving. When Diluc turns back his team is glaring daggers at him, he stares back at them. Doesn’t say anything, and continues practice.
No one is brave enough to ask him about it.
Tartaglia whispers to Kaeya “You didn’t know about it either huh?”
#3 Kaeya (Middle Blocker)
This MF would talk about you whenever he had the chance.
Y/N this, Y/N that, Y/N is so cute.
Frankly the team is kinda tired of it.
But when you finally visit one of their practices the team levels their gaze at you and think “Oh shit, he wasn’t lying, she is actually cute,”
Sees his teammates expression and brags even more. “I know what y’all are thinking. You’re thinking, OH! She’s actually really cute! Hm?”
Slings an arm around you shamelessly with a grin. “Back off boys, I’ll block all your attempts,”
Diluc is the one that walks up to you and you blink at him. Kaeya blinks at him, confused as well.
Diluc suddenly bows, “I feel sorry for you but please take care of him,”
The rest of the team either bursts out laughing or snickers behind their hand.
Their vice captain is low key savage
#4 Albedo (Setter)
The team finds out about you cause when they finish practice they find you waiting outside the gym.
Kazuha asks politely while the others look on “Are you lost?”
You straighten up and stutter a little, “Ah, uh, no, I’m...” You’re at a loss for words.
Then Albedo suddenly appears from the gym doors and sees you. “Ah, were you waiting long? Sorry,”
Thoma tilts his head in question. “Albedo...Your sister?”
Albedo at this point was standing next to you already. “...No, my girlfriend,” like it was the most normal thing in the world.
Everyone is stunned into statues.
“H-How did you get one before me?” Tartaglia looks as if his soul had been sucked out of his body.
“Next time you can just come inside and wait inside the gym, it’s dark out here,” their responsible captain suggests and you’re amazed at his kindness and bow at him with a thank you.
Albedo doesn’t see what’s the big deal and just grabs your hand and starts walking away.
#5 Tartaglia (Middle Blocker/Wing Spiker)
The team already knew since the first date. It’s because he.would.not.shut.up.about.it
That particular day at practice his spikes were a tad bit stronger than usual.
“Oi... you’re getting too excited...” Xiao mumbles at him. Tartaglia just grins and scratches the back of his head. “Aaaahhhh... I can’t help it, I’m so nervous for my date with Y/N!”
A few more dates later he starts showing off his phone wallpaper to the others. It’s a picture of you and him.
Kaeya tries to piss him off by saying, “Huh, we’ve never actually seen her in person. Maybe it’s photoshopped,” The others snicker.
Is so pissed, asks you to come immediately.
You thought it was an emergency so you come into the gym with a worried look on your face only to be hugged tight into his chest. “See? See? She’s totally real and totally cute!”
Albedo crosses his arms and blinks, then looks at Kaeya “...You totally baited him, he’s such a simpleton.”
Kaeya responds with a smirk “Right?”
#6 Kazuha (Decoy/Middle Blocker/Wing Spiker)
The most formal out of all of them and even tells them seriously that he had an announcement to make.
Next day he comes into practice with you in tow.
Properly introduces you as his girlfriend.
Everyone is wide-eyed at how official it feels. Then you suddenly take out a big container of fruits and tell everyone it’s for them (The captain doesn’t allow sweets, he thinks it’ll fatten them up or some crap.)
EVERYONE IS BLESSED BY YOUR PRESENCE and Kazuha is just enjoying you getting along with them.
Kaeya and Tartaglia try to whisper and bribe you into making cookies for them.
Albedo and Xiao stares at Kazuha thinking ‘If someone like you can get a girlfriend, we can get one too, right?’
You offer to come back next time with more fruits and some secret cookies.
#7 Xiao (Libero)
Tried to keep it a secret because he knows his team will make a fuss about it.
The team finds out when his phone suddenly starts ringing in the middle of practice and he asks for a timeout to pick it up.
“Mm... Yeah... I’ll pick you up when I finish,” Everyone starts nudging each other when they hear him talk to you in an unusually calm and soft tone. So different from when he plays volleyball and gets angry at them.
By this point everyone tries to keep quiet and enlarge their ears to eavesdrop.
“Idiot... I won’t be late. I promised to take you out didn’t I?”
Hearing their tsundere libero say something so sweet makes everyone combust.
When he turns back everyone is staring at him with smirks on their faces. “Hey, why not just ask her to come here?” Kaeya sneakily suggests.
Xiao blushes “A-As if I’d let her near you bumbling fools!”
He was worried it would scare you away, actually.
#8 Tohma (Pinch Server/Middle Blocker)
Literally no one is surprised he has a girlfriend.
It would be MORE of a surprise if he DIDN’T have one.
But they find out cause he left his phone out on the bench one day and there’d been a text message while Xiao was conveniently sitting on the bench.
“...Tohma, someone me--” Xiao looks at the screen where the message ‘I love you!’ is clearly written.
Xiao is so curious but is not gunna admit it so he nudges Kaeya or Tartaglia who might be sitting next to him and secretly motions over to the phone.
They read it and ask in a real loud voice “Oi Tohma! Who’s Y/N? They said I love you!”
Tohma laughs nervously and since it’s already out he might as well introduce you.
“This is my princess,” he says when you enter the gym to walk home with him that afternoon. You bow and introduce yourself and everyone looks at you thinking... “Ah, they look like the perfect domestic couple,”
Low-key everyone is jealous of how you dote on him.

Carolina’s cell phone display marked eight-thirty am and the girl couldn’t help but shake her leg up and down in pure anxiety.
She hated arriving late to practices in general, but today she just couldn’t.
As it turns out, today was the first volleyball official game of the season. The male team would be competing later in the evening to classify, and whenever they had big games like that the whole team would be called to train together and help appoint errors on whatever they needed to better in court so they would be ready to ace the other team.
“Hey,” Ben called for her, his eyes trailing to the car changing lanes in front of them. “You’ll arrive in time, don’t worry!” He chuckled, finding the way she was clutching her seat belt in the passenger seat actually funny but also adorable.
Carolina didn’t say a word, just nodded in agreement. For a second there, she felt guilty for choosing to sleep in Ben’s place instead of her own apartment, knowing it was way closer to the pavilion and Jin would always know shortcuts to get her on time.
Her mind was only able to rest at ease when Ben parked the car right in front of the main door, and she gave him a quick peck before jumping out of the vehicle and running towards the locker room. She had precisely seven minutes to change her clothes, before the coach blew his whistle, marking the beginning of practice.
She managed to barge through the court’s door a few seconds before Mr. Hoffman, their coach, blew that annoying thing he always carried around his neck. The players were all aligned, looking at Mr. Hoffman as he remarked stoically, “I thought you would miss today's sess too, Jones.”
“When did I ever?” Carolina punched back filling her spot on the line, and gaining what it felt to the start of a smile on the coach’s face.
Mr. Hoffman had been a volley player too back in the days, so his natural stature of six foot one and his cranky face could make anyone step back in fear. But for the ones that dared to know the man better, or drive him mad at every opportunity like Carolina did, it was clear as day he was nothing but a softy deep down. He was just really stressed and short-tempered.
“Alright.” He gave in. “Just don’t throw up like Jeremy over there… I know you guys had a party last night, but suck the hangover in, alright?! Shouldn’t hav’ gone to it in the first place.”
They all held in laughter seeing the male’s team opposite hitter, Jeremy, laid on a bench, arm over his eyes like the world was ending. If they didn’t know him better, concern about him not being able to play in tonight’s game would surface, but then again, Jeremy was out and about every day.
Countless times had he arrived minutes before practice with a massive hangover. And if you’re wondering… No, the coach didn’t need to take any measures. Jeremy is a wild card alright, but he’s also one of the best out there; he can be anything but unprofessional when it comes to volley. Or unpassionate.
“So that’s where you were last night!” Lu whispered indignantly at Carolina’s ear while eyeing the bleachers. “I can’t believe you missed a sleepover at my house because of that gorgeous and sexy as hell man over there.” She added, making Carolina laugh and glance quickly at Ben, who waved at her.
She saluted him jokingly, making him flash a big smile before she turned back to face the court to start practicing. And while she chatted cheerfully with Lu about her rendezvous, simultaneously stretching, a pair of eyes on the other side of the net followed her every move.
Jungkook still hadn’t swallowed the scene he had witnessed the previous night. And seeing his teacher in the bleachers, staring at Carolina without a care in the world, wasn’t sitting right in his stomach.
“JK?” Eunwoo, the male’s team setter, called for him again as he was lost in thoughts. “You following?”
“Huh?” He snapped his head back to the actual team. As Eunwoo pressed again with a raise of his eyebrows, smiling at Jungkook’s unusual loss of focus when it came to the sport, he shook his head. “Sorry, yeah. Go on,”
Eunwoo had been explaining what plays he wanted to make for their game later that evening, as he had been up late at night studying the other team’s moves.
While he did so, and the rest of the team listened attentively, the girls were completely dispersed. The team itself wasn’t as close as the boys were, and that resulted in some inner circles as they stretched or practiced.
Truth is, ever since Carolina arrived on the team there had been problems. Jennifer’s posh attitude had crashed immensely with hers, and to worsen the situation, the coach had appointed Carolina to the setter position and the starter line without even doing much training.
At first, the collision was mostly bickering and eyes rolling here and there. Jennifer would always try to anger the girl somehow, but Carolina stood her ground without paying much mind. With time—not that long as you are probably thinking—things started running south. After the setter heard that conversation between Jennifer and Jungkook, she no longer ignored her snarky remarks or childish behavior. Carolina started barking back and that made things between the team shift.
“Let’s move!” Mr. Hoffman demanded with arms crossed while his assistants kept a closer look at the players that were jumping up and down and taking their positions on the court.
They were going to start the practice with the male team starter line playing against a mix of the female team starters and the male players that were on the bench as the coach would definitely make them substitute on the first or second sets.
Jungkook was by the net and although Jennifer kept smiling at him from the other side, craving his attention, he had his eyes elsewhere. The bleachers.
“Don’t take it easy on us,” Eunwoo smiled friendly while offering his fist beneath the net to Carolina, who took the same position as him on the other team.
She bumped it gladly, “Never!”
Tracy, Jennifer’s best friend and the middle blocker of the female team, was getting ready to serve. Jungkook’s eyes went to follow her movement to try and predict where the ball would come to but all he could see was Ben’s figure leaning forward with a grin on his face while ogling Carolina.
Is he looking at…?
“My bad!” their libero shouted as he failed to correct the ball’s trajectory to a perfect pass.
Eunwoo moved swiftly to get the second touch and arrange the perfect position for one of his hitters. Jungkook saw the exact moment he was about to pass it to Jeremy, but he really needed that one. He needed to carve that ball deep into the court to let some steam off.
“Open!” the raven-haired boy shouted with his right arm up; eyes eager and about to burn.
Eunwoo didn’t think, he didn’t need to. Whenever this happened, his body reacted instinctively to Jungkook’s motion, much like a magnet. And so he tossed the ball to his teammate in a perfect parabole.
Jungkook took a swing as if he was about to fly.
As his body was raised closer to the net, he targeted the spot intended for the ball to go, and his hand came in like an unmerciful whip. Carolina, Tracy, and Jason jumped to block it, but they all knew it was a lost battle. Whenever Jungkook attained such a majestic form on the other side of the net, a point was guaranteed. So they all looked back when they heard the loud bang the ball made, but much to their surprise, it hadn't come in touch with the wooden floor like it always did.
“Fuck!” They heard a loud groan coming from the bleachers.
Carolina gasped as she saw the ball rolling down the seats, right next to Ben, who had his right hand over his shoulder with closed eyes and furrowed brows.
“Holy…! Ben!” She went running toward him after the scene sank into her mind. To her relief, Mr. Hoffman had already sent his assistant to check on the man injured before her.
Jungkook kept panting from the other side with his hands on his hips; his expression far from guilt or regret.
“I’ve never seen you be so accurate before,” Eunwoo tapped on Jungkook’s shoulder with a naughty chuckle and a nod of his head making his teammate scoff and turn around to go fetch another ball.

Jimin wasn’t supposed to be awake. At least not at eleven in the morning.
He and Taehyung had arrived way too late last night, both unable to find their building or even walk straight for the matter. By the time they managed to do so, the sun was already shining bright on the horizon, turning everything it touched into shades of soft gold.
The jock had planned to stay in bed until a bit after lunchtime, only getting up to eat something and then going back to his safe haven until it was time to get ready for yet another massive event—the volley team game and its party. Unfortunately, as he struggled to open his eyes, alarmed by the maddening sound of an unknown alarm, he saw himself in a different scenario.
The owner of said alarm, Taehyung, sleeps soundly on the other side of the room, without mention of moving or even turning off the diabolical thing.
So Jimin was forced to get up to do so.
He kicked his blankets to the side, lazily crossing the distance to pick his friend's device up just to state his fear. Frowning to see how early it was, he cussed under his breath. The situation was about to turn south, as he turned off the maddening sound, ready to wake his roommate up with at least a pull on his leg when he spotted her.
Right on the front lawn, under the willow tree that made their dorm have the best view compared to the others on campus, Jimin spotted Sarah.
He didn’t have his glasses or contacts on, but he knew, from the way she laughed with her whole body, to her blonde locks fluttering in the light morning breeze that it was her. He had admired her long enough to know.
The girl was accompanied by a group of friends, and she was the only one standing while the rest of them sat on top of a sarong extended on the lawn. They all looked at her, laughing as well. From what Jimin could gather, she was quite the taleteller.
He looked at the device in his hand again. It was seven minutes to eleven-thirty. Jimin sighed. And then forgetting all about his rest, he opened his wardrobe, picking a pair of jeans and a loose dress shirt to put on.
Not even fifteen minutes later, he was walking out of the building, teeth brushed, hair messily combed back with a pair of sunglasses to support his casual style.
The coffee shop was right across, and he would definitely pass by Sarah if he were to trace through the lawn instead of going around it. It was perfect.
But he should have predicted she would spot him first. And then what could have been a serendipitous moment became just a long catwalk while she stared at him with a large smile, and a hand over her eyes so the sun could be blocked.
“Enjoying a morning walk after last night?” Sarah teased as he came closer to her and her friends.
Jimin chuckled amused. “Came just for the coffee,” he said, pointing toward the coffee shop behind her. Then he looked at her friends sitting on top of a red sarong, with a shy smile. “Hey, how you doing?”
The girls greeted him excitedly, exchanging glances between themselves. Sarah was too invested to notice.
“Just for the coffee, huh?” she raised her eyebrow teasingly. Jimin chuckled.
“Are you going to the game later tonight too?” a short girl with bangs asked him, all smiles.
He looked from her to Sarah, as if waiting for an introduction and she quietly whispered her friend’s name to him. “Uh- Yeah! Are you going too, Sunny?”
“We are!” she answered excitedly. “I was just telling Sarah we should go earlier since I’m pretty sure the place will be packed… Anything for a good seat!” she laughed, and Jimin nodded agreeing.
“You should! I’m going earlier too” the boy added.
“Well, I still have to find someone to interview today…” Sarah sighed, looking around as if her savior would come.
Eliza, the other girl sat down, eyed her for a bit, and then shifted her glance toward Jimin. Sarah met her eyes and as soon as it happened she knew what was going to unravel next. She gulped nervously.
“You’re an athlete aren’t you?”
Jimin looked at the girl before even realizing the question was directed to him. “I am,” he said simply, waiting for further context.
Sunny looked at her too, expectant. Eliza then turned to Sarah. “Why not interview him?”
“Oh I don’t know-“ Sarah said hesitantly. “I don’t want to take your time or anything…” she added, biting her lips.
Jimin opened another radiant smile, looking at her fondly. He hadn’t expected to reach the coffee shop anyways, her company was all that he had been hoping for.
Not knowing what the interview would even be about, Jimin answered. “It would be a pleasure to be interviewed by the infamous Sarah Lewis,” he added a wink at the end and the girl melted under his gaze.
The blonde said quick goodbyes to her two friends, with promises of being as speedy with the interview as she could so they could meet early to attend the game. Meanwhile, the jock could only hope to extend their time together, after all, they did have some pending business.

Jungkook was pretty nervous. He was in the locker room, sat down together with his team, all waiting for the game to begin while their coach kept giving last advice and cheering them on. And although Jungkook very much liked the “old man” as he would call him, he had been listening to none of the words leaving Mr. Hoffman’s mouth. His only focus was the loud cheering he could hear from outside and the way their benches would shake from the crowd’s loud stomps. From what he could tell, the bleachers of the inside court were already packed, and he was right.
Jimin was the first of his group of friends to arrive, and because of that, he was having some trouble safeguarding the seats for everyone. He was trying hard to balance out a rather large beer cup on his hands—that was already half empty—while his left leg was up to the side, on top of two seats, and his jacket on the other one by his right, as well as the cardboard piece he had made earlier that afternoon to support Jungkook.
The more crowded the place got, the more he was finding it hard to keep the seats since they were definitely in the best spot to watch the game; courtesy of Jungkook who had given him the tip. The number of people trying to sit there just for him to say “I’m sorry it’s occupied”, especially the bad-mouthing session that came right after it, was proving to be a challenging task to his patience.
He was about to curse someone himself, mentally blaming his friends for running late, once he heard Deo’s voice calling for him.
“Chims!”, she did her best to get noticed by everyone passing by. “Down here!!”
He took a second to spot her arms, waving the best she could as the place was very much full of people trying to accommodate themselves on their seats.
“Come quickly!” he screamed back, caving into a full smile, “My leg is numb!”
That was the thing about Jimin, he could get grumpy and emotional, or sometimes really mad, but he couldn’t do so for long. And if he were to be honest, he was always the one running late inside his circle of friends. Today had just been the exception thanks to a gorgeous blue-eyed girl.
“I thought I was going to lose a leg,” he sighed taking down his limb off the seats as Deo and Hoseok approached him to sit down, “I mean, I’m great at doing splits but this was just too long of a torture!”
“Stop being dramatic,” Deo cut him off. “It was only fifteen minutes.”
Hoseok laughed out, partially guilty while accommodating himself on his seat, “It was way more, and you know it!”
The blonde one lifted his hand to point it at Hoseok, clapping it down again on his leg, happy for having someone side with him. “Thank you!”
“Wanna die?” Deo intervened quickly with a look making her friend raise his hands in defeat as she bit down a smile. “Where’s Hyori by the way?” she asked, looking around.
“Texted me a while ago saying she was just changing to come…”
Hoseok took the cup from Jimin’s hand taking a quick sip, “Still? I dropped her off at the dorms hours ago!”
Deo’s eyes quickly left the court to question Hoseok about her roommate. It wasn’t of Hyori to arrive late, much less to dwell so heavily on getting ready. “And you’re sure she went to our dorm?”
“Mmhm, I’m sure.”
Hoseok was clueless about the worrying state Deo immediately had gotten in. The sunshine of the group munched on some red gummies, sugar-coated, as his eyes scanned the volley court. With each second, more and more people were arriving and it was certain that there weren’t going to be enough places for everyone.
“There she is!” Jimin pointed out to the entrance on the other side of where they were seated before the strawberry blonde girl could ask Hoseok more questions.
Hoseok squinted his eyes trying to look for Hyori among the crowd and as he found her, he got up from his seat raising his arms. “Wave at her!”
“There’s no way she will see you.” Deo giggled while searching for her phone inside her purse. “I’m going to call her.”
“Just shout her name,” Jimin added fuel to the fire getting up from his seat as well.
“Guys, oh my God–” Deo covered her face as the two were already up on their seats, standing high. “Where’s Jungkook when you need him…”
As the duo began to chant the brunette’s name, Hoseok began to jump, hands up in the air, trying to catch the girl’s attention. Jimin fell into a fit of laughter immediately, almost falling off his seat as his stomach began hurting. Deo already had her phone glued to her ear when Hyori hung up.
“She sees me!” Hoseok's strident laugh is heard all through the venue, as he looks proudly at his friends.
“Hope, you should try out for the cheerleading squad. That was amazing.” Jimin managed to say in between gasps for air.
Hyori had to strategically pick out a route to be able to reach her friends. And by the time she did, she was puffing, bag strap swinging over her head as she struggled to take off her jacket. Jimin, ever so gentleman-like, gave her his hand to help her sit as the other took care of the weight of her bag.
“This place is packed!” Hyori commented, eyes scanning the room.
“Hell yeah!” Hoseok cheered, “those suckers won’t know what hit them!”
The bleachers remained loud, people casually talking with their peers as they waited for the main attraction: the volleyball team, with Jungkook leading them out of the locker rooms. By this time, they were probably receiving a last-minute pep talk from the coach.
“Hyo, you look so nice!” Jimin squeezed the girl’s side, making her slap his hand.
“Thanks.” Not knowing how to react to compliments, Hyori smiled, head leaning on the jock’s shoulder. “So do you.”
“Hey, missy, what took you so long?” Deo inquisitively asked by her roommate’s side.
“What do you mean? The game hasn’t even started.” Hyori replied coyly. If someone knew her was her roommate.
Scoffing, the cheerleader presses, a smile adorning her features. “And did you have time to hide the evidence or when we get home your desk will be covered in highlighter?”
Hyori furrowed her brows, eyes rolling instinctively. In her mind, she battled with her two options: keep being oblivious to her best friend’s questions or come clean.
She chooses the latter. “Is it bad?”
“Not at all.” Now eyeing the girl’s skin in more detail, the strawberry blonde compliments. “You’re at a pro level. Next time I need to do my makeup, I’ll come to you.”
“Deal.” Hyori turns her body to chip in on the conversation of the boys next to her.
“Is it for the cute boy from the texts?” Deo whispers, teasingly and laughs right after, noticing how the girl beside her stiffens.
“I–maybe.”
Hyori knew that Deo wasn’t mocking her but she didn’t want the boys to know. They would make this a more significant thing than it actually was. And that was precisely why she hadn’t gone to Jungkook yet. Deo had pointed out how their friend could smooth things out for Hyori. So she glared at her bestie, a look the other knew as half a plea, half a threat to keep her mouth shut.
“What cute boy?” Hoseok's head almost popped in between the two girls.
“Me, obviously.” Jimin smiled big, cockily.
“You are such a jock.” Deo snorted.
“Excuse me??” Pretending to be offended, the blonde boy protected his heart with his hands. “Am I not the cute bo–”
“LOOK! THERE THEY COME!”
The doors that led to the locker room opened with a loud bang making the crowd avert their attention to the players running towards the court. Both teams came to greet the audience from opposite sides. Jungkook passed by right under where his group of friends was, swiftly turning himself on his heels to look up and send them a flying kiss. They all laughed at his exaggerated expressions while doing so.
“MAKE US PROUD!” Jimin shouted loudly, making the other three by his side laugh hysterically, and even join the chant of Jungkook’s nickname a bit after.
The raven-haired boy couldn’t help but open a huge smile, even if he felt a bit embarrassed at the racket his friends were making on the bleachers. As soon as he sat down to hear the tactical moves his coach was about to suggest, however, he became serious and relentless. Almost like he couldn’t hear a single word around him but the ones falling from his coach’s lips.
Not long after, the team got up. The players gathered around their coach to put their hands together, shouting the college catchphrase “Fight On!” like they were about to go to war. Once that was out of the way, the front-line players formed a line outside the court, waiting for the host to call for their names so they could make an entrance.
“Here we go!” Taehyung exclaimed excitedly. A bucket of fries in one hand and a red and golden flag with the college insignia in the other; waving it proudly.
Yoongi couldn’t help but chuckle amused as he saw Carolina cross her arms; she was sitting right under them, between their legs. “You are really out to piss her off today, aren’t you?” he looked at the players running to the court but Taehyung knew he was talking with him.
“Pshh,” He scoffed, taking a fry to his mouth. “I’m not…”
“I'm betting two dollars that Carolina will have him trapped in the girls' locker room by the end of this match,” Jin said casually to Namjoon, bending forward to see him as they were separated by Carolina and Luiza who sat in the middle. Not satisfied, he took two dollar bills out of his pocket and started waving them.
The girl in question didn’t say a word. She was too pissed with what had happened earlier in practice to even bother taking her eyes out of the court. The thought of Jungkook failing all his serves played like a loop in her mind. Still, she couldn’t afford to think that way as the male team needed to win this game if they wanted to qualify for the finals.
“What am I even doing with two dollars, bro?” Namjoon questioned, glancing at the bills in front of them with furrowed eyebrows.
“Namjoon, sometimes you fail to see the beauty in capitalism… If you bet two dollars as well, we have four. The winner gets to buy a hot dog.”
Jin didn’t need to say much more. Yoongi took his wallet out, fishing some bills out of it. “I bet she will at least pinch him. You know that hellish pinch of hers?” He asked with a sufferable expression as if he could feel his skin burning just from thinking of it. Jin looked up at him.
“The sucker pinch?” The oldest asked while Taehyung ate his fries rather anxious while listening to their bets. “That’s a good one. How much?” he asked as Yoongi nodded his head. The game was about to start but the two were not at all focused. Namjoon, who was right in the middle of the trades, kept drinking his beer totally unbothered.
“Three dollars” Yoongi flashed his bills out, “One hot dog and a beer.”
At that moment, Taehyung scoffed. “She’s not pinching me, I’m like her bro- OUTCH!”, the boy’s hand went flying to his inner thigh in desperation, rubbing his burning flesh as Carolina laughed satisfied. Jin sighed, giving Yoongi two dollars and the latter immediately waved his hand in the air so the hot dog seller could spot him.
“Why?”, they heard Taehyung whine.
“Yoongi seemed hungry and you know, I like to help out artists… The music industry these days is tough”, she shrugged off with a serious face while Lu kept on laughing beside her.
Yoongi bit down a tiny smile that threatened to escape, ruining his usual poker face. Before the hot dog seller approached him through the staircase, as he was sitting at the end of the row, he blurted out words that didn’t usually leave his mouth. “Love you.”
“Love you too.” Carolina had said back without turning her head to look at him. She too was biting down a smile of her own.
“What about me then?! Your dear roommate, hm?” Jin twisted his body completely to face her side profile; her lips trembling, struggling to hold in the laughter. Gaining no reaction or response from her, he exclaimed indignantly. “People these days! She’s worse than the music industry, let me tell you!” he was saying to whoever wanted to listen as the others laughed. Not satisfied, he glanced to his right, and locking eyes with a random guy he saw the opportunity to complain. “Can you believe this, Patrick?”
There was a second of doubt. “M-My name is Noah”, the guy introduced himself awkwardly.
“Oh…” Jin blinked, and if he got flustered he didn’t show. “Nice to meet you. I’m Jin. Can you call that girl over there selling fries, please? I’m hungry as fuck!”
The boy beside him nodded, visibly taken aback by Jin’s behavior, and that only added more reason for Yoongi to burst out in laughter. “I can’t believe this guy”
“Hey Noah, ask her for one more bucket, please!” Taehyung added, acting naturally as if the boy in question was a friend of his and not a complete stranger.
“And to think I argued with my dad to defend my friends…” Namjoon said humorously, taking another large sip from his beer. Both Carolina and Lu glanced over at him, and while the latter chuckled, assuming he had been making a joke, Carolina knew him better than that. His eyes weren’t smiling.
She leaned back, waiting for him to look at her too, as Lu—who sat between them—was focused on the game playing on the court.
“What happened?” she mouthed silently as his eyes met hers.
“The usual,” Namjoon shrugged with a melancholic smile. “But not now. Maybe once I’m properly drunk I’ll spill my heart out to you.”
Carolina knew it was not the moment. Namjoon always talked whenever he felt ready to; on that, they were very much alike. So she nodded in agreement, giving him a bright smile, but holding onto that promise.
“GO TROJANS!”, she shifted her focus back at the game as Taehyung screamed from above her, getting up to wave his flag passionately, smiling like a kid. Jungkook had scored another point. She sighed, slumping on her seat, head leaning on Yoongi’s right knee.
To outsiders, it might seem she was supporting the other team, which was not so incorrect. It turned out she had been holding this childish grudge against the MVP of UCBL, so she was in internal conflict.  Carolina didn’t want her college to lose, but she also didn’t want Jungkook to win. To her misfortune, the sport she loved so much wasn’t a solo one… Losing, here, wasn’t an option, and she knew deep down they wouldn’t.
The first set was almost coming to an end. The Trojans, Jungkook’s team, had already scored twenty points and the Princeton Tigers had a six-point difference to cover. Everyone in that court knew the Trojans would win. It was an easy game. But Jungkook was foolishly wasting all of his energy on the match.
The team's main player had been, from the start, serving with brute force; his attacks were merciless and he would run with all his might after balls that weren’t worth running for. So much so, that once he scored the last point, securing the Trojans the win in the first set, and everyone cheered loudly screaming his name, his coach had no option but to call him in.
“What are you doing, kid?” Mr. Hoffman asked as he came in sweaty, with a water bottle in his hands. Both teams had headed to their benches, as they prepared to switch sides and start the second set. Jungkook glanced around, with heavy breathing. “Hey, hey. Look at me! There’s no need to waste energy like that, you hear me?”
“Why not?”, he retorted out of pure spite. His eyes encountered the confused ones of his coach for brief seconds before resuming to scan the inside bleachers, chugging down more water as he did so. “You always say we must have that kind of competitive spirit.”
“And it’s meant to use it wisely, you twat! What happens when you tire yourself out and they begin advancing on us?! What then?”, the coach exploded. The grey man had to take a moment to breathe, his hand coming to his hip as he looked down to inhale. Mr. Hoffman was close to grabbing Jungkook by his collar and dragging him to the bench to teach him a lesson, but he really couldn’t afford to take his best player out of the game before the second set even began.
Jungkook tilted his head, starting to feel his blood boil again. “I know my limits, old man. My energy won’t end just because of this simple match,” he stated cockily.
“That’s why you’re not my elective captain for when Sean graduates! You don’t think straight.”
Jungkook finally looked at him properly. His jaw tensed to the sudden attack. “I’m your coach, kid. And I’m telling you not to waste any more energy. At the very least don’t make it seem like you need to give all of yourself to defeat them.”
“That’s not fun–” Jungkook huffed vexed.
“It’s not supposed to be fun, it’s supposed to be smart. So when we win this game our next adversaries—the Eagles that you sweat your ass so much to win over—are more mentally shaken thinking, ‘Wow that player didn’t even waste a breath on them’ you understand now?”, the elder asks him as if asking a five-year-old, verging on despair.
Jungkook dropped the water bottle on the floor. “Fine.”
The coach sighed while watching him march his way to the court, waiting for the referee to start the second set.
“What happened?” Hyori asked once the Trojans scored the seventh point in a carefree manner. “Why is Jungkook playing like he was playing beach volleyball with us?”
Hoseok squinted his eyes toward the court, observing their friend. The boy in question had his hands on his hips as he waited for Eunwoo to go serve. “Is he already tired?”
“No it’s–”
“Is he trying to mock the other team?” Deo cut Jimin’s explanation, turning to Hoseok for answers.
“JEON JUNGKOOK IF YOU DON’T START REACTING RIGHT NOW I SWEAR–” Hyori yelled, alarming people around her.
Jimin’s hand came to her mouth to shut her up. “He’s probably just playing lightly because they don’t need to do much to win against the Tigers, guys. Calm down.”
“But I mean… Couldn’t he at least try a little harder? It’s boring this way.” Deo added, and they all looked expectant at their friend who was preparing to jump.
Eunwoo made a perfect pass and Jungkook came smashing it with full precision. The referee whistled. Another point for the Trojans team. “He’s doing good, nonetheless,” The group of friends heard, and one by one they turned around to see who had made that comment.
It was Sunny, the girl Jimin had met earlier that day with Sarah. She greeted him with a knowing smile and he mimicked her actions.
The petite girl didn’t play volleyball but she had been attending the games ever since she started college. Hearing one comment here and there about how the players made their moves, made her understand more of the game. And she could talk with ease about Jungkook’s skills now.
“I think so too,” Jimin added, winking at her. Turning around to pick up the cardboard he had done, he nudged Hyori. “Help me out with this cardboard”, as soon as they lifted it up he shouted. “GO JK!”
Jungkook was the outside hitter of his team, his function on the team was to be the last one hitting the ball so they could score. Even if he exercised said job lightly, he still managed to make it look amazing.
The team had just blocked a counterattack from the Tigers, and the scoreboard showed the number twelve in red neon lights. Their rivals were still behind them, and at this pace, they wouldn’t be able to catch the Trojans.
The referee beeped and they all stopped. The opposing coach had asked for a break. The crowd cheered as they watched Jungkook run to the side of the court alongside his peers to drink some water and take the opportunity to hear anything else their coach would like to add as well.
“Any extra moves, coach?” Eunwoo, the team’s setter, asked with a victory smile.
“You know, they’re not so bad…” Ian, their libero, let his thoughts come to the surface. “They’re just unprepared compared to us”
“Don’t let that fool you. And certainly don’t drop your guards! Now– Keep it up, boys! You’re doing a great job.” Coach tapped their shoulders as a way of thanking them for the good work. He then proceeded to clap enthusiastically, gathering their strength before the time out ended.
“Be careful with that hitter on the left…” Sean, their middle blocker and captain, warned them as he dried his forehead, looking at the other team pensively. “The kid managed to fit in points in some difficult corners”
Eunwoo glanced at his captain, giving the water bottle he had in hand to their technician. “You think we should press his side more?” Sean didn’t give him an answer, however, just kept his eyes glued to player number twelve on the other side of the court. “What do you think, JK?” the setter turned to him, watching him drink water absentmindedly; eyes round and big, looking at the floor. Eunwoo knew him long enough to understand that was normal behavior whenever Jungkook had something stuck in his mind. “Hey! JK!” he punched his arm.
“Mm?” Jungkook looked at them waiting for enlightenment.
“He’s too distracted with Jennifer… She’s in the bleachers somewhere” Jeremy, came by teasing and the boy in question snorted.
But that wasn’t the case. Jungkook got to know of Jennifer’s presence there at that exact moment. No, his head was somewhere else entirely… It had been ever since he had witnessed Carolina with his History teacher last night in that alley. And earlier today again, when she showed up to practice with the ginger man.
Something about the whole situation wasn’t sitting right with him. And he couldn’t brush it off. That wasn’t something he knew how to do.
“Just worry yourself with hitting that ball inside their side of the court, Jeremy”, the raven-haired hitter countered, returning to the match, and making his peers laugh.
Their captain, however, got nervous with the newly acquired information. “The girls came?!” Sean asked, looking around with a hand above his eyes to shield them from the lights.
Eunwoo was about to answer when Mr. Hoffman showed up behind them, slapping the taller one on the back of his neck. “Stop looking for girls! Go play!”
The three of them muttered a ‘yes sir’ and jogged with a different posture toward the court where Jungkook awaited. Eunwoo and Jeremy shared accomplices' looks before taking their positions, making fun of their captain.

Having won the second set, and since the Trojans were once again leading the third one with a big gap, everyone started to expect a certain win. The boys were still executing elaborate game plays but more at ease. None of them were being forced to exceed too much.
“Do we still have to be here?” Carolina mumbled to Lu, looking bored at the match. “We already know they are going to win… and I honestly have better things to do.”
“Oh like making out with Mr. Benji?” Lu whispered with a smirk on her face, eyes peeking quickly at her friend before going back to a certain tall and tanned player.
Carolina’s breath faltered, and she snapped her head to her friend, waiting promptly for explanations. She didn’t tell Lu about Ben being a teacher… Yet. She had been meaning to, but she left the party with the man instead of going with her friend as they had planned.
Noticing the inquisitive glance of Carolina burning the right side of her face, Lu smiled, leaning to her side to whisper once again. “You know I’m his student, right? I have history of arts with him… And it’s been some days now that he tells us to read something while he grabs a coffee but he somehow always comes back half an hour later with lips way too red.”
The brunette lifted one eyebrow at her reasoning, not buying it. “Carolina, the moment he showed up to practice it was clear you guys were making out. And like I said, he’s really my teacher.” Lu laughed, finding the coincidence funny and her stubborn friend trying to hide that fact even funnier.
The oldest sighed, crossing her arms. “Fine. But are we going home or nah? I really did have better plans.”
“First of all, it’s the two last points. They just scored twenty-three.” Lu pointed to the huge scoreboard across the arena. “And I’m sorry to break it to you but we are attending the party for the boys. You already called off with me last night, so shut it.”
Carolina groaned torn by the fact she indeed had a debt with her friend. “Someone’s angry, how cute” Lu added, chuckling.
“GO TROJANS!” Taehyung shouted from behind them too caught up in the game atmosphere.
“Yeah, and that someone is me”, Carolina stated, glancing back with a scowl to the boy before sinking in her seat like a vexed kid.
Luiza couldn’t help but laugh, squeezing Carolina’s cheeks, maneuvering her head so she could focus on what she wanted to show her. “No, that someone is him.”
And she didn’t need to look much to catch hold of who the curly-haired girl wanted her to see. Jungkook was wildly running from place to place, making attacks way too angry once again.
“What’s his fucking problem?” her question came muffled, as Lu’s fingers were still trapping her cheeks in a light squeeze.
“I wouldn’t know… But mine is that one over there.”
Luiza set free her friend’s cheeks, slumping her shoulders with a defeated sigh. Carolina raised her eyebrow. There’s no way she is crushing over Jeremy, the girl thought. And as if reading her thoughts, the honey-haired girl by her side clarified the situation, taking the opportunity that Namjoon was focused on buying something to eat while chatting with Yoongi. “Sean”, she said pointing to him with her head.
Carolina’s expression lightened up excitedly, her mouth opening in surprise and her brown eyes doubling the size. “No way!”
“Shhh!” Luiza asked startled.
The girl before her still had a chirp in her eyes, as if she had discovered the best secret ever. And indeed she had. Whispering, she got closer to her best friend who had her cheeks in a shade of pink, “I honestly think he’s not a problem for you at all” and as Luiza doubted her with a glance she added, “Lu, I’m serious! He’s all smiles around you!”
The shorter girl looked at Sean once again, doubt all over her face. It suddenly subsided into a playful grin as her best friend nudged her with excited exclamations.
“What did I miss?” Namjoon cut the party, taking an absentmindedly sip of his newly bought beer. “Oh wow! Final point already!”
Jungkook was the one in charge of serving. It was their final point to score, and if they succeeded, the victory was theirs. They would qualify.
As he assumed his stance on the edge of the line and lifted his eyes to see the Tigers on the other side of the net, he knew he could serve the ball and make it to be an ace. But that wasn’t fun. It didn’t spurge him, and he knew he had attentive eyes on him, waiting for yet another unforgettable game. The court was silent and expectant.
The court devil, as everyone called him before ‘virgin boy’ became a thing, threw the ball up. His eyes were solely focused on it. Two large steps were taken, and suddenly he was suspended in the air. Jungkook made it look beautiful, easy even.
The crowd held their breaths as his right hand came meeting the ball, spiking it directly towards the arms of the other team’s libero. It was a difficult ball to catch, even if he had put less impact on the effect he had perfected within the years.
“NICE!” Jimin celebrated, seeing the ball hit on the libero’s arms but slip away to the side instead of going straight to their setter.
The outside hitter of the other team was as good as Sean had made him be, managing to catch the ball and restructure the game. He had sent it in a larger pass to his opposite, accomplishing an attack, even if it wasn’t the quickest ever seen.
“Shit”, Namjoon mumbled. His eyes were trailed on the game, afraid to blink. The beer glass he was holding was halfway to his mouth, still in mid-air.
Ian, the Trojans' libero, managed to catch the spike as he dove onto the floor. But the blow had been a strong one, so the ball pinched on his hand and went backward. Jungkook knew Eunwoo wouldn’t get to the ball on time, so it was up to him to make the counterplay. If he managed to get to it too.
But if anyone could, that would be him.
He ran with all he had to the back of the court, eyes up on the ball, glued to it. So much so that he didn’t know what was in front of him. His legs moved recklessly. People from the crowd started to stand.
Looking at the speed of the ball, he wouldn’t be able to do a bump, much less a basic pass to send it over to the net for someone to attack. In a last-minute call, Jungkook threw his body, reaching the ball with his foot instead.
He landed with his butt on the floor with a loud thud, and if the circumstances were another, he would have felt the impact. But there was no time. He glanced back to see if he had succeeded, and before even confirming it, he was already back on his feet, running to his position.
“Heavens!” Hyori gasped, worried.
“Bro–” Deo couldn’t complete the sentence.
Jeremy attacked, without much force due to the lack of precision on the ball thrown at him, but as always he made it seem effortless. As if the passes had been easily made from the start.
“I don’t think I can look anymore,” Taehyung sang the last word, drowning in anxiety. “JUST SCORE”
The Tigers received the ball again, but this time poorly. The libero had passed the ball right to the other side of the net, failing to secure an opportunity of attack.
Ian, in turn, received the ball like a feather.
The ball flew graciously toward the net and Eunwoo switched position, changing the ball's course and speed. He had arranged it to perfection for Jungkook to make a speed attack. A fatal one.
“JJK!” every UCBL student present was chanting together while stomping their feet on the bleachers. “JJK!” echoed in the air rhythmically. Every student but one. “JJK!”
Jungkook jumped high as ever, freezing time for brief seconds along with him. As his hand descended to attack, the ball was sent in the very corner on the end of the court, just like Sean had warned them about the Tigers hitter before. That was that hitter's signature move, and it took very little for Jungkook to perfect it, making it his own.
The ball went through with such force and speed that the other team didn’t even notice it. The realization came with the referee’s whistle.
Landing again on the floor, all Jungkook could hear was the chanting for his name and happiness overflowing through screams and shouting. But even amidst everything, his focus was elsewhere. As his teammates came to his encounter, celebrating their victory, he finally found what he had been searching for throughout the whole match. More specifically, who.
There she was with crossed arms.
He smiled smugly. And then he did what he shouldn’t have done. He started a war with a wink.
“That fucking asshole,” Carolina grunted. In a second she had sprung to her feet, making way through the crowd to leave the place.

“You guys go ahead, I’ll wait for Jungkook with him”, they heard Hyori say nodding towards Jimin.
Once the game officially ended, the players have long gone to the lockers, and everyone started getting up to direct themselves towards the exits, Jimin had notified them he was going to wait for the crowd to subside. He had agreed to go to the court and wait there for Jungkook—who was going to take a quick shower before meeting his friends.
Deo eyed her roommate suspiciously. In a fraction of a second, realization hit her. “We’ll wait for you three outside then…” a smirk was added to her features when adding, “Try not to take too long.”
Before the black-haired girl could protest, her roommate had already turned around, taking Hoseok by his arm and pulling him along. Both of them were engulfed in a sea of students.
“So…” Jimin started smugly, leaning on the railing before them. “May I know why I get the honor to be accompanied by the almighty Hyori who never once before wanted to wait inside a stuffed ambiance with sweat odors?”, he tried to imitate her voice as he quoted the last bit. She chuckled, giving him a soft punch to his chest and nodding her head.
“I’m just being a nice friend.” Hyori shrugged.
Jimin didn’t buy the act, however, and she knew that. Still, she was prepared to be evasive toward all the questions she knew he would start asking. Jimin has always had a curious nature, there was not much he wouldn’t know by simply pressing everyone until he got the information he wanted.
“Look the route is clear!”, the girl added, making her way down to the court first. Jimin followed suit laughing at her attempt to change subjects.
Hyori had barely touched foot on the court when Jimin pressed further, still behind her. “C’mon, spill it”, he whined with a smile.
She was about to give him a poorly made excuse when the doors to the lockers opened and Jungkook came by carrying his duffel bag thrown back cooly on his shoulder. But Hyori gasped at the scene she witnessed afterward.
Jungkook looked back, holding the heavy door long enough for Eunwoo to pass by. The scene seemed to display at a slow pace to the girl, but the commentary Jimin left in the air before the boys came closer made her snap out of it.
“Oh, so this is why…”
Her first reaction was to snap her head at the boy beside her, giving him a nudge, and making him laugh.
She feigned normality.
As they approach both of them, Hyori's smile widens exponentially. “There he is! Our superstar!”, and the moment she finishes her sentence and hears Jimin chuckle beside her she knows she made a poor choice of words.
Jungkook seems even more embarrassed, smiling with full teeth and scrunching his nose to the new title. Before the situation gets worse, the raven-haired boy gets closer to her shaking his hair and making water droplets fall all over her face.
“Stop!”, she cries. Her body is curled, trying her best to deviate from him. “Oh, my days, Jungkook! Stop being a dog!” she laughs and he stops.
Jimin and Eunwoo watch everything delighted. “We went quickly from superstar to dog.” Jungkook scoffs, pretending to be hurt.
Hyori doesn’t pay much mind to his complaint as her eyes lock with Eunwoo’s and he smiles adorably. “Hi,” he says making her smile.
“Hi!”
Before she gets the chance to say anything else, or try to extend the conversation, Jungkook interrupts. “Are we ready to roll?” Hyori shrinks as he’s not able to read the room. “You coming with us?” he looks at the setter standing next to him.
“Yeah come with us!” Jimin tries as he sees the girl’s eyes get full of hope. “One of the girls can go on our lap or something. We can make it fit on the car.”
There’s some hesitancy on Eunwoo’s part as he sees everyone glancing at him. He smiles, ever so polite. His eyes almost disappear as they are shaped into an arch; his lashes beautify the movement.
“Thank you but I already–”
“EUNWOO!” they all turn heads to see Jeremy far ahead with a hand up, trying to call for his attention. “YOU COMING OR NOT?” he shouts, tapping at his wrist as if he had an imaginary watch placed there.
And again, Jungkook isn’t able to read the room like Jimin had been doing, much to Hyori’s demise.
“We’ll see you there in a few then!”
Eunwoo extends his fist so Jungkook can bump it. “See you soon!” he glances at Jimin and then Hyori, “Bye guys!”
“Bye bro, and let’s celebrate the match!” Jimin says as the setter makes his way toward Jeremy walking sideways. A thumbs up confirming the proposition.
The three of them watch as Eunwoo is reunited not only with Jeremy but also with a cheerleader Hyori knew from Deo’s classes, and Ian, the team’s libero. They walk towards the exit with a cheerful talk that can’t quite reach their ears properly.
“Let’s go too then!” Jungkook says excitedly and Hyori sighs, glancing at him disgruntled. Jimin sees the exact moment she slaps the back of the head of their friend making him stop on track. He eyes her confused.
She doesn’t return the eye contact as she marches up front leaving them behind. “I swear you are so dense sometimes!” he hears the girl grunt. Jungkook turns to seek explanations from Jimin, but he gives him no answers with a shrug of his shoulders as they start walking again to follow Hyori out of the venue.

The music could be heard for miles.
Of course, nothing could top a football victory party but the ones thrown in honor of the volleyball team followed right after. No invitation was needed and no one dared to miss them. Even those that didn’t care for sports attended. Jeremy always took care of the parties for his team, his frat house acting as the place to be after every single game.
Yoongi scrunches his nose as soon as a new song starts to play.
Despite the music at the moment passing as background for his ears, he’s too picky to not react to it. Even if no one around him noticed the scrunch. Tonight he’s not the designated DJ, nor the designated caretakerㅡof Taehyung, of course, who was usually the lightweight of the group. Still, it was likely that a change in one of those statuses would happen. If there was one thing that drove him mad was the frat party music. And as for Taehyung, well, somebody had to keep him in check, and not always his friends would leave a party walking straight. He was definitely the one that held his alcohol best.
“And they introduced it like a pop tart?” Jin asked, mouth agape.
“Yes!” Sunny squeals loudly. “It was disgusting!”
“I would be scared for life.” Jin shook his head. “And I like a good prank.”
“Prank me with everything, just— don’t put vegetables inside my pop tart.” Sunny’s expression is serious. “Or I will sue.”
“Trust issues, man.” Taeha laughs out, making Yoongi grin by her side.
Jin’s dramatics are intensified by the light touch of liquor in his blood and a simple conversation about Sunny’s most recent appearance in Taeha’s podcast swiftly turns into a serious—and perhaps even, the most important conversation of his life.
“JK!” As quickly as Jin emerged in the conversation was how quickly he snapped out of it, his downstairs neighbor approaching the circle.
“How’s it going?” Shoulder bumping with the oldest, Jungkook smiles big. Looking around the group, the volleyball player nods to both girls.
“Great performance earlier!” Sunny speaks cooly.
“Thanks.” Jungkook smiles from ear to ear. “But what nonsense was that about veggies in pop tarts?”
Sunny chuckles, hand trapping a strap of her hair behind her ear.
“It’s for Taeha’s podcast.” Jin nudges his head towards the girl that was now deep in a conversation with Yoongi. “Sunny tried the worst-rated restaurants around campus.”
“Well, you kinda’ had to see it coming, then.” Jungkook laughs.
“Strangely enough… I was counting on maybe food poisoning. Never crossed my mind to be betrayed like that. Someone should close that establishment–”
The girl speaks seriously and both boys fall into laughter, only for the conversation to be interrupted by a tipsy brunette. “Let’s go dance!”
And as the popular girl that Jungkook immediately recognized as Hyori’s cousin, Harin, swoops in on her friends, the girls can only share some glances with the confused boys that were left mid-conversation. But they are quick to shrug it off.
“So,” Jungkook trails off. “Where’s the she-devil?”
“Carolina?” Jin laughs. For some time now he had been sensing something between those two and he wanted nothing more but to meddle with it. “She’s off somewhere. But I swear I saw her here already.”
“She was with Luiza,” Yoongi comments nonchalantly. “But you need to be careful. If she hears you…”
Both troublemakers smirk knowingly, leaving an intrigued Jungkook in between them. “Oh, I can handle her.”
“I thought so too…” Jin shakes his head, eyes glued to the floor as if remembering something traumatic. “I thought so too…”
The repeating makes Yoongi crack. “Their house is a battlefield.” he clarifies.
Jungkook smiles, not knowing what to say after that. Instead, he opts to scan the crowd of drunken people that danced in the middle of the living room of Jeremy’s frat. He had made up his mind and he intended to fulfill the task he had appointed to himself as soon as possible.
His eyes fall on Namjoon. The clumsy tall figure of his housemate struggles to move through the crowd, arms in the air as he carries two red cups and another one dangling dangerously from between his teeth.
“I hope that one isn't mine." Jin makes a disgusting face, mentioning the cup that was threatening to fall from the Dean's kid's lips at any second.
"I've seen you lick dirtier things," Namjoon speaks immediately after Yoongi frees one of his hands.
"Dang. What have you been licking, bro?" Jungkook laughs teasingly.
"Do you really want the answer to that?" Now is Yoongi's turn to tease. "Because if I were you…"
"Hey!" Jin pretends to be offended. "That was a one-time thing!"
The entire group stares at Jungkook to see if he had bought the antic, as for a split second he seems to be speechless. He begins laughing, yet again not knowing what to say or do, and everyone follows suit.
"Well, I'm going to get myself a drink."
"Find us later if you want a ride!" Yoongi offers.
"For sure! Hit me up before you leave and I'll meet you in the front."
Jungkook doesn’t waste time and moves through the crowd toward the bar. He thinks to himself that not only does he need a drink but he also needs to find who he is looking for. His head was spinning with so many thoughts he could hardly enjoy the night as he had been planning.
As he reaches the improvised bar, tucked on the farther side of the living room, almost next to the kitchen, he eyes his options. Beer wouldn’t do it for him tonight. He spots a brand new bottle of vodka mixed between the empty ones. Vodka it is.
The MVP player of the night had just finished mixing his drink—vodka with grape and mint, his new concoction—when he turned back, taking a sip, and spotted Jimin on the other side of the crowd.
Some people tapped him on the shoulder as he made his way toward his friend, all of them opening smiles and congratulating him for the game. He knew none of those people, but he still thanked them with his own kind of smile.
“There you are!” Jimin pulled him to a side hug as soon as he spotted him. Jungkook was quick to pass the cup to his other hand in order for Jimin not to knock it out, spilling the content, as he had done many times before.
“Where’s Kiri and Hope?” He asked taking a sip and eyeing as Deo rolled her eyes at something the boy by her side had said close to her ear. The boy was a friend of Jack, the girl's ex-boyfriend, probably annoying her to give him another chance. Or, even trying to have a chance for himself, as everyone knew how toxic Jack’s friend circle was, to begin with.
“Hyo went to grab booze with Hobi but you know him…” Deo answered, taking the opportunity to escape the guy by her side, and Jimin laughed amused.
“Hobi probably met some people along the way and aborted the mission,”
“We’re waiting for Hyori here in case she is trying to find us again” the girl added.
Jungkook nodded and took another sip of his drink.
He bounced mindlessly to the sound of the beat while talking to Jimin and Deo. His eyes still got lost in the crowd from time to time, searching.
“Gguk!” Deo tugs at the end of his shirt.
“There he is.” Jimin chuckles, noticing how Jungkook almost shook his head, waking up from the trance he was in.
“What planet did you got dragged to?”
“I’m right here.” The boy chuckled.
“You’re so off today.” Deo crossed her arms over her chest.
The usual annoying look that would be on the cheerleader’s face from Jungkook not listening to her was replaced with one that hinted at concern but also curiosity. Of course, everyone in the Hope Club was used to Jungkook spacing out. It happened all the time.
But today he felt different.
Even before the game, when the strawberry blonde girl had a chance to see him, he seemed off. There was this spark in his eyes… One that he would have whenever he was planning a prank or being challenged.
“You’d think that because you’re too sober now, Dee.” Jungkook acted cool. “Let’s get her a drink, Jiminssi.”
Ignoring the protests of the girl, Jungkook swings his arm around her neck, Jimin following excitedly behind the two as they make their way through the crowd and into the kitchen area.
A big marble counter was filled with drinks and the typical red plastic cups. The rows that once were stacked perfectly next to the drinks now lay scattered around the counter. Besides the last few that were still perfectly stacked, it was hard to tell which ones had been used and the ones that simply had fallen and were unused.
Jungkook takes his time preparing his friend a drink. Pretending to know about mixology, he plays with the bottles, spinning them between his fingers as Deo can’t help but fall into laughter.
“Thank you, barman.”
“Where’s mine?” Jimin whines.
“You have a cup in hand that it’s full to the top.” Deo rolls her eyes at the jock as he takes no time in drinking the whole thing in one sit.
“Now…” He stops, catching his breath as he licks his bittersweet lips, a smile plastered on them. “Where’s mine?”
“Coming right up!”
Deo giggles, taking the red cup in between her hands and taking a sip. Jungkook looks expectantly before turning to Jimin’s drink. It wasn’t a cocktail—far from it, actually. Just a simple vodka with orange juice. He knew how much the girl hated the bitter taste that some beverages carried, so he would always make sure they were sweeter. Of course, most times, that ended up with Deo drinking way more than she was supposed to, burdening Hyori throughout the rest of the night, afraid of puking and shocking her to death while complaining that the room was spinning.
“There you are!” A high-pitch voice startles the entire group. And it’s visible on everyone’s faces the mood changing in the bat of an eye. “I’ve been looking everywhere for you, babe!”
Jungkook sighs before forcing a smile on his features. The girl that had been standing with her arms around his torso now forces her way into his arms. Jennifer.
“What’s up?” Jungkook asks but wishes it was rhetorical so there wouldn’t be an answer.
“I wanna dance!” The pout on the volleyball’s outside hitter's lips shows how drunk she already is.
“Go have fun.” Removing his arm from her shoulder, Jungkook turns to the drinks on the counter.
“With you, silly.” Jennifer laughs.
“He was kinda in the middle of something. Not that you noticed.” Deo smiles but is far from a polite one, finger twirling with her hair.
“But Kookie always has time for me. Don’t you?” Jennifer pouts again, leaning on the boy. “And I have an idea of what we can do after,” The mischievous smile on her lips leaves little to no imagination to everyone standing there and as she leans to speak in Jungkook's ear, it becomes even more evident.
“What the—”
Deo’s disgusting stare is hard to miss and Jimin can’t help but laugh hysterically at the entire situation. Jungkook presses his lips together, a sign of apology for leaving his friends.
“Men are so easy.”
“Hey, hey!” Jimin lifts his hands up in the air, defeatless. “Is your drink not sweet enough?”
“Yeah, it is. But you’re making me sour.” Sticking out her tongue, the girl waits as Jimin finishes pouring whiskey into his cup.
“Do you wanna go dance, too?” Jimin swings his arm around the small girl. “We can see what comes out of it later,” he jokes.
Deo can’t help but laugh, eyes rolling at the stupidity of her best friend. “You wish.”
“Am I not good-looking enough?” Jimin cries, stopping in place.
“Hmm…” Deo turns to face him, index finger on her lip as she pretends to be deep in thought. “You’re too emotional.”
The girl giggles as Jimin's mouth is agape and his eyes widened to pretend he is offended and enraged.
“How could you say that?”
“Suck it, loser.”
Middle finger up in the air, Deo continues giggling as she runs from the kitchen and towards the music. She’s sure Jimin is following right after her and so she speeds up her pace.
The party was crowded. Fuck Up The Friendship by Leah Kate plays loudly and everyone in the living room dances. The smell of alcohol mixed with the sweat from the colliding bodies, grasping for touch as couples make out in-between moves, filling the entire room and setting the mood.
Deo gasps as her cup come flying off her hands, the impact hitting her out of nowhere. “Dude, watch where you’re go—” She stops mid-sentence, eyes reaching the face of the boy that had just bumped into her. “Taehyung.”
“Didi, are you ok?” Jimin comes rushing to the girl’s side.
“Yeah—” The girl takes a second to look herself up and down.
The content of her red cup that was now laying on the ground had missed her completely—or almost. The white converses she was wearing were slowly changing into a soft shade of orange and she felt her blood boil.
“It wasn’t me!” Taehyung’s eyes widen, and his hands shake by his chest, defending himself.
“Really?” Deo scoffs.
“I— I really wasn’t!” Taehyung looks to Jimin, silently asking him to come to his defense.
“C’mon, it could’ve been a lot worse!” The blonde jock tries to help but clearly misses his shot, gaining a stern look from his best friends.
“Whatever. The least you could do is apologize.” The girl rolls her eyes.
Deo turns to leave, only for Taehyung to grab her by the wrist. “It really wasn’t me. That guy—”
Taehyung turns around, ready to point to the real culprit of the situation he was in but no one was in sight. At least, not the one that could take the blame for him. Deo lifts her eyebrows, expectantly.
“I was trying to protect you.”
“Protect me?” Now the girl laughs drily. “What? Don’t tell me he had a knife.”
“He was going to bump against you.” Taehyung presses his lips together, taking a deep breath.
“So you decided—in that pretty head of yours—that the outcome would be better if you bumped into me.”
Logically, Taehyung knew it made no sense. But his intentions were pure. “Well, in my head, I was going to be able to reach you in time to avoid any collisions but he pushed me instead.”
“Gee, Jimin, you never told me you were best friends with Flash here!” The girl talks to the jock but doesn’t even bother to look in his direction.
Taehyung laughs drily. Licking his lips, he looks the girl straight in the eye before scoffing. “Would you look at that? Yesterday we were fuck buddies, now we’re like this.”
“What?!” Jimin finally wakes up from the conversation.
Deo is caught off guard. Of course, she remembers what Taehyung is referring to. "Excuse me?”
“You’re really going to pull the amnesia card on me?” he laughs incredulously. A hint of annoyance flashed through his eyes.
Laughing nervously, Deo crosses her arms. “Are you calling me a liar now?”
“You’re a terrible liar.” Taehyung lifts an eyebrow at Deo’s smile.
“Guys,” Jimin tries to intervene but he’s completely ignored.
“I didn’t lie!”
“Would you prefer the term playing stupid?” Leaning against the wall, Taehyung watches the girl closely.
“Do you insult all the girls you try to save?”
For two whole more minutes, Jimin watches as his best friends continue to bicker, the subject now being changed to something else that was bothering one of the two. It was exhausting, Jimin finally concluded. The two were so absorbed in their argument, filled with nonsense, that they wouldn't even realize if the house would start falling to pieces.
“Wah,” Jimin sighs exasperated. “You’re both impossible to talk to…”
The jock complains more to himself than anything, as both his best friends are more concerned to keep disagreeing with each other.
“Yes, Jimin, let’s go to a party with your best friends! It’ll be super fun, you will see!” The jock adds, dramatic as ever. He stares at his empty red cup. “I need more booze to hang out with you.”
His eyes travel to the pair in front of him just to state the obvious—they were still not paying attention. So he turns around and makes his way through the sea of people dancing in the living room.
Only a couple of steps separated Jimin from the drinks counter but he had to stop multiple times to speak to several people. If he had to be honest, he didn’t remember half of them. But that was one of the things that came with being the quarterback of the university. Well… That and being extremely attractive.
One drink after the other, one of the most well-developed skills Jimin had was his drinking. He could take it well. Mid conversation with a group of cheerleaders from the volleyball team, he comes to the conclusion that his red cup is, yet again, empty. Charmingly, he excuses himself from the boring conversation he had long lost interest in.
The bar is his destination, but as he walks, crumpled by the movements, he spots a familiar pair of blue eyes near the kitchen door.
“Sarah!” he greeted, coming along, and the smile on her face got even bigger. The boy who talked to her before was long forgotten, as well as the drink Jimin was going to fetch.
“Jimin,” The girl greets equally excitedly. “Twice in a day… I’m starting to think that the universe is pushing us together.”
After their morning encounter, and the quick interview Sarah managed to get thanks to Jimin, they had to say their goodbyes. The girl had received a call from her sister who was expecting her to grab lunch. Jimin had walked her all the way to the front gate and although they said their goodbyes with a “see you later” they knew it was an improbable encounter.
He is, however, somewhat dazed at the implications behind the blonde’s premise. His hand runs through his hair.
“Either that or you’re a psycho.” The girl holds a serious expression before giggling.
“So, what’s your gut feeling telling you about me?” Acting coyly, Jimin jokes. He licks his plump lips once again.
“I guess I’ll have to find out.” The playful smile that adorns Sarah’s face shakes Jimin.
It was as if he had been asleep and suddenly a jar of cold water had been dropped on top of his head. Filled with goosebumps, he feels cool at the sudden approach of the beautiful girl that he so much dreamt about.
He wasn’t about to leave her hanging, of course.
Leaning in closer, with fluttering eyes, they were only millimeters away from each other’s lips.
“Jimin-ah!” The sudden shouting isn’t enough for the drunken boy that engulfs his best friend in his arms. “I’ve been locking– looking everywhere for you.”
Taehyung’s voice comes out slurry as he keeps leaning on the quarterback. Sarah can’t help but laugh at the situation.
Jimin doesn’t know if he should be furious or just murder his friend right away.
“Tae, how did you get so drunk? You were good an hour ago.”
“I’m not drunk, I’m coping” he mumbled, prolonging the last word.
Sighing, Jimin runs his hand through his hair. He knows he needs to help Taehyung but the moment he’s having with Sarah is all he wanted for some time now. “Do you mind?” The jock tilts his head with apologetic eyes, towards his friend that was still in his arms, now making small circles in Jimin’s chest completely spaced out.
“Not at all.” Sarah keeps on giggling at Taehyung. He was so out of himself that he didn’t even say hello to the girl. “I know we’ll find each other again.”
Jimin can only sigh at the teasing comment the blonde has made. And as she turns her back on him, he hits Taehyung straight in the head.
“I can’t believe you.” He whispers under his breath, dragging him to the drinks counter.
Taehyung was in desperate need of some food and water. Jimin had his back to him, searching for something in the cupboards. Cereal is good enough. But the drunken boy didn’t wait as his brain was already intoxicated with booze and his body seemed to move all by itself.
Instead, he saw himself walking out of the kitchen through the second arch that led to the entrance of the frat. The party was still alive, and people would still walk in, either searching for friends or for having a good time.
He kept walking, caving a path between the crowd, without a destination in mind. And he stopped whenever someone called his name, introducing him to people he could swear he had never seen around in college. When that happened, he tried his best to feign sobriety, smiling from ear to ear and giving a side hug accompanied with an “It’s really nice to meet you!”.
Taehyung wouldn’t stop for long, excusing himself to go find his friends. He always claimed that they were waiting for him when in fact he was just trying to get out of the conversation before people realized the truth—he either had no idea who they were or wasn’t in a clear state of mind to interact as he should.
The last group he stopped by was because he saw the familiar face of a Youtuber he had been following for a while now. She would visit the majority of unknown yet hip places around campus, and thanks to her Taehyung had never felt without options to visit on the weekends.
“Yuna!” he said, approaching her as if they had been the greatest of friends. “You’re Yuna, right? From youtube?”
She offered him a smile, not so clueless about who he was, even though she had never talked to him before. Taehyung had a reputation… One well known amongst students and as he stood this close to her, she could confirm everything said was indeed true.
He was gorgeous.
“Hi!” she greeted with a chuckle. “Yes, that’s me!”
She was standing beside two other girls, and Taehyung presumed they were her friends. He waved a hand at them accompanied by a smile and then looked at Yuna again. “Do you know where I can find one of those?” he pointed at the drink she had in hand.
“We got some over there!” she turned back indicating the dining hall and Taehyung squinted his eyes at the scene unfolding before him.
Across the sea of people, braiding back and forth around the house, he could see a crowd cheering around the dining table. Carolina and Lu were dancing on top of it.
He didn’t say anything else to Yuna, just leaned on the shoulder of a guy that was passing by and went toward the commotion. “Hey!” he shouted before even arriving closer. Carolina wasn’t paying any attention, as she smiled loosely at the girl beside her, showing her moves.
Taehyung pushed past some guys that were by their feet looking up. “Get down there! Carolina–” He demanded, tripping on his own feet as he too was out of himself. Carolina just twirled around, eyes closed as she danced to the rhythm of the song blasting on the speakers. “Hey!” Taehyung shouted back at her attitude, now facing her back.
He knew for sure she had seen him. This was just her trying to ignore his demand.
Not wasting any time, he pushed forward, his hip meeting the edge of the table. “You’re getting down now–” He grunted as he looped her around her waist and pulled her down.
“Oh for fucks sake!” she exclaimed, not even debating much. Carolina knew the only fool crazy enough to pull her down from a table was him.
She had to lean on someone that passed by as to not fall, easily concluding the state of how drunk he already was. “That pissed already, huh?”
He shook his head. “No– No,” he swiveled his index finger. “No twirling on tables.”
Carolina eyed him and laughed. “Oh so you can dance to Doja Cat on top of a table but I can’t?”
He smacked his lips together with a funny face.
“You’re completely wasted, aren’t you?” she asked but he only laughed with a hand on her shoulder so as to not fall.
The girl began thinking about what she should do to him, scanning the room and looking for any sign of their friends, to help her take care of Taehyung. He needed something to snack on. At least until they got out of there and made a quick pit stop at Mcdonald's drive-thru like they always did.
She managed to drag him, as he shouted incoherent things or sang along on the way to the puffs she remembered seeing Yoongi and Jin.
Carolina placed him between Yoongi and the edge of a couch, making both him and Jin promise they would take a look at him while she went to fetch something in the kitchen.
The way there was rushed, but smooth. She wasn’t that affected by the amount of booze she had ingested so far. Besides, not mixing drinks was in favor to stay conscious longer so she could enjoy the party.
“Hey, Jer!” she shouted, spotting the hitter from the volley team. The brunette sat on top of a counter in the kitchen, munching happily at some cookies. His eyes fell upon her and he opened his classic smile. His right hand placed a cookie in his mouth before he waved at her.
“Do you have more of that for me?” Carolina said, as she came closer and looked at the cookies. Taehyung would like those.
“Uhm… I think we have some more in one of these cupboards–” Jeremy looked behind him, opening one of them to check. Carolina quickly opened the one on the side to check as well, smiling wide as she spotted two more packages.
The brunette held the door as she leaped forward to be able to reach and snatch the cookies.
“Jackpot!” she said making him chuckle. “By the way, good game today. You really improved your jump. The pool training was totally worth it!”
They laughed and he thanked her with a warm smile. Although he had a bit of a fuck boy reputation, Carolina had always thought fondly of him. He was a nice guy, the nicest if she were to think about it. And not because he had a hidden agenda in mind, but because he genuinely liked to be useful to people. If it weren’t for him, she would never be able to perfect her passes.
It was with him that she trained to be able to deliver quick attacks to the hitters.
Before she could turn around and go away, Jeremy looked at her. “Did you see the others already?” he questioned as to make conversation. “Eunwoo is around somewhere, I lost him… And Sean had been looking for you and Lu.”
“Where’s Sean?” the girl asked. A quick pitstop to leave the snacks with Taehyung and then off to make a good deed for her friend. Luiza and Sean were a couple she had never seen coming but at the same time, the more she thought about it, the more it made the perfect sense.
Jeremy pointed to the backyard with a nod. “Last time I saw him he was there with the boys… But I don’t know, I came to eat something to be able to handle the third round,” she heard him laugh but not a word sank in. As soon as she turned around to look at the spot he pointed, she saw Jungkook with a bottle in hand as Jennifer whispered something in his ear with a smirk.
“Alright, Jer, go easy on those cookies”, she answered with a smile, before tapping his leg, taking a bottle of Jack that sat on top of the counter next to him, and making her way to her drunken friend. Something crawled inside her skin.

After leaving two packets of cookies with Yoongi for him to tend to a drunk Taehyung, Carolina marched out to the second floor. She stomped her Adidas brutally as she went up the steps.
Reaching the second floor, one-third of the whiskey bottle was already gone, and her social battery was certainly drained. So much so that instead of talking to some random boy that passed by calling her name, she ignored him in the search of a quiet place to sit by herself.
“DUDE SOME PRIVACY” she heard as soon as she got fully inside a bathroom, locking the door behind herself.
“Oh, hey there!” Carolina greeted, feeling quite sociable once again, feeling the booze hit her. “The door was… open?” she added, pointing backward with a poker face as the girl sat on the toilet and eyed her baffled.
“Oh–” Deo concluded, looking at the door and then at the tall girl again. “Really? My bad,” and she resumed pulling some of the toilet paper to pat it on her shoes. “Fuck, it’s not working! Do you have baby wipes or something?” she eyed Carolina again. The girl was leaning on the sink, sipping from her bottle as she fixed her hair, looking at the mirror.
Her brown eyes didn’t leave her reflection. “Nope… But I bet Jer has something. Wait–” Carolina crouched, her bottle still in hand, as she opened the drawers under the sink to snoop around.
“What– Ah! Don’t! It’s–” Deo tried to stop her but it was in vain. She jumped to her feet a few seconds later with a pack in her hand, closing the drawers again with her knee.
“Here it is–” she went towards the strawberry blonde girl, handing her the baby wipes.
“Thank God, I owe you one!” she said while Carolina had her back to her, pacing around the bathroom. “Didn’t even think about rumbling through their stuff. Boys…”
The other girl chuckled understanding what she was trying to say. “I’m acquainted with one of the boys living here. He always has baby wipes to clean his shoes, don’t ask me why.” they shared an accomplice glance before laughing.
Carolina sat on the edge of the bathtub, taking another sip from her bottle as she saw the other girl resume her cleaning. “Hey, do I know you?” she added with furrowed brows. Her brain worked hard to place the face of the small girl before her with a name. “I know you, don’t I?”
“Uhm, probably?” Deo glanced up quickly to face her, returning her gaze to her sneakers seconds after. “I think I know you too?” she added confused, discarding the wipe she had been using in the bathroom trash before directing herself to the sink.
“Huh,” Carolina mumbled, slipping her legs into the tub and then sliding swiftly until she was comfortably sitting inside it.
Deo eyed her through the mirror while washing her hands. “You ok there?” she looked again, scanning her face for any sign of sickness. “Need to puke?”
Carolina laughed, turning her face and meeting her eyes through the mirror. “I’m fine.” she dismissed. “Thanks for asking though! I’m just here to relax a bit– Some people take me out of my right mind sometimes.”
“Talking about boys? Cause let me tell you! Boys are the worst.”
Deo turned around, with arms crossed, and leaned on the sink behind her. Carolina looked at the ceiling pensively and then sighed.
“For me more like– People in general. But yeah.”
There was a minute of silence between the two. They weren’t close, but there is a comforting sense in confiding in people you don’t actually know. So, as Deo eyed her, giving her the push she needed to come clean with her thoughts, all she could think was why not?
“Not that I think all men are stupid… I mean sometimes they are, but—” Carolina started with a sigh. “This one…” she grunted in the end. Her knuckles turned white as she grabbed the bottle of whiskey.
“What did he do?” Deo asked, her eyes sparkling as she made her way toward the tub. “We’ll get revenge together!”
“He existed. That’s what he did.”
The smaller girl glance at her quite confused but brushed it off quickly with a confident nod of her head. “I feel you.” she looked at the tub and then at the girl before her. She bit her lips. “Is… Tub relaxing better than regular relaxing?” but before Carolina could answer her question, she already had one foot inside, ready to take a sit too. “Let me get in there with you!”
Carolina quickly found some space to fit her in as well, pulling her knees closer to her chest. “It’s definitely better to talk about what angers you or sort your thoughts. Try it– What’s troubling you?”
They sat face to face, both hugging their knees so they could fit inside. Carolina still held the bottle, shaking it softly toward Deo as a silent question. The smaller girl refused it with a shake of her hand and a smile.
“So,” she started while Carolina siped it instead. “The problem is that there’s this boy… And my friend– my like. My best friend likes him but he just pissed me off, you know?” Carolina nodded in understanding while she ranted about it. “He’s so weird and his head is always up in the clouds… It’s so annoying.” Deo rolled her eyes.
“And… You like him? Or you hate him?”
Deo looked at her fingers, fidgeting with her ring, not knowing what to answer.
“Uh! I know! Or maybe you hate him but also like him.” Carolina added, straightening her back as she felt excited.
“Even if I like him—and that’s a big if—it just wouldn’t work. I just got out of a relationship and the last thing I wanna do is get tied down again. Like–” Carolina saw as the girl before her sighed and slumped her shoulders. “Even today he reminded me of something I said yesterday when I was drunk. Who does that? I just don’t think we’d match.”
“That sounds… Like an episode of the OC, bro… I don’t even know what to say, really.” Carolina looked down, trying to think. The only thing coming to her mind was now an image of Seth, one of the protagonists of the show. “Is he hot, though?” she gave Deo a cheeky look.
“The crazy ones always are.”
“Now that’s something I have to agree on. They are.” Carolina nodded her head confirming the girl’s theory. “Look at us for example.”
“I take the compliment,” Deo snorts. “Don’t you, like, wish— sometimes only, of course, that you were a psycho? Just so you wouldn’t care? And you could murder someone? And not even feel guilty? Cause I can barely roll my eyes at my friends.”
Carolina’s brows come together as she stares at the tile wall by her side, tilting her head. The conversation had taken a serious turn. She had to thank the girl in front of her somehow for making her forget the reason she had been so mad as she first came inside this bathroom.
“Uhm…? Not really…?” the tall one answered pensively. “I already go at them if they piss me off so–”
“How?” The question is vague but Deo looks aimlessly at the wall in front of her. “How do you piss them off without you getting pissed off first?”
“Uh… I do get pissed that’s why I get back at them…?” Carolina wonders before chuckling.
Deo laughs too, and why she doesn’t know. “Well,” she starts once the laughter subsides. “I think I need more drinks now,” she states, looking at Carolina’s bottle, and noticing how little there was left. “You coming?” she started to get up, glancing at the two-tone-haired girl.
“I think I’ll stick around a little longer,” she says, stretching her legs to fill out the space Deo had left. “Thanks though! And good luck with the dreamy guy from the OC!” she chuckles, seeing the smaller friend by the door, ready to unlock it.
“He’s not dreamy!” Deo shouts back with a playful smile on her face before closing the door behind her with a minor bang.
Carolina is left there to look at the ceiling. Her eyes flutter and close. Her mind trails off to the fact she forgot to ask the petit girl’s name. She laughs alone, remembering their conversation.
And then she snaps her eyes open. Chugging the rest of the content of the bottle as she remembers why she got there in the first place.
Tumblr media
Also on the top floor of the frat, looking for the bathroom, was Hyori. She had sadly missed her roommate for just a few minutes.
When it came to parties like this, she was really shy and anxious, different from Hoseok who loved to meet new people and hold gatherings. She loved those, and she would drink the most, but only if it were between her and her friends. Like this—a party full of people she had never talked to before—was rather nerve-racking.
She still attended them, mostly because her friends wouldn’t let her stay at the dorms by any means. But every time the jet-black-haired girl found herself surrounded by drunken people dancing along to the loud music, she realized that the dance floor wasn’t her thing. Hyori would much rather take her booze to somewhere more private. Normally, her eligible choice was the backyard, but sometime, when she was lucky enough, she would find a nice room. One with a window large enough so she could drink quietly while peeking at the moon.
The rooftop was one of Hyori’s favorite spots to be at a party like the one happening right now. And as she opened door to door, searching for a bathroom so she could have a glance at herself in the mirror, she found her safe haven instead. After receiving many complaints from couples that forgot to lock themselves before diving into a more passionate business, she finally sighed in relief.
The girl was a huge fan of the space and everything related to it. On busy nights, when people danced and tumbled around, she would always choose to stay there; sitting with her legs close to her chest, eyes fixed on the twinkling stars, her lonely drink in hand, and a lot on her mind.
Everything felt perfectly in place. She closed her eyes with a wistful smile on her face.
That was until she heard a loud thud coming from the door. She opened her eyes in a second, head snapping toward the sound.
A boy’s head came into vision, and he froze, meeting her gaze. Hyori couldn’t exactly tell who it was because of the light until he spoke. “Uh– Sorry! I didn’t mean to interrupt”
Namjoon.
She remembered his embarrassed tone from the previous night, on the backstage at the runway show. The smile returned to her face.
He mentioned closing the door again. “No!” Hyori protested hurriedly and he stopped in his tracks, peeking back at her. Suddenly the thought of him wanting to use the room for other purposes hit her and she felt the blood rush to her cheeks. “I– I can go. I’ll go so you can use the room–”
As she started moving towards the window to get inside the house again, Namjoon got behind the door, getting inside rushed. He closed the door behind him and started waving his free hand.
“No, no! It’s ok!” he explained hurriedly, his eyes nervously unfocused as he realized what she was implying by ‘using the room’. “I was just looking for my friend! Maybe you saw him?”
Hyori stopped to look at him. Her legs waggled in the air as she sat on the windowsill facing him.
“Maybe I was too distracted,” she chuckled shyly. “But uhm… I don’t think anybody came in.”
She saw Namjoon bite a smile down. “Tall, drunk… Maybe a tie wrapped on his head? He always does that.” It was his time to chuckle as he heard her laugh. “Taehyung is his name.”
“Jimin’s friend?”
“Oh, shit. Yeah!” Namjoon said apologetically with a boyish grin. His free hand came to the back of his neck, rubbing it distractedly. “I forgot you know him.” They chuckled again.
She nodded her head. “But no, sorry! I’d love to help but I really didn’t see him”, she noticed how his shoulders sank slowly. The thought of Namjoon searching for Taehyung around the frat for too long of a time crossed her mind. She felt silly, but she wished she could have helped him somehow. “But if I see him I’ll let him know you’re looking for him!”
He smiled, and she caught a glimpse of his dimple, carved on his skin just like the half moon shining brightly in the sky.
“Thanks! That’s a big help!”, he said and they kept their eyes on each other. Normally silent situations made her uncomfortable but staring at his dark hazy eyes, the lack of dialogue seemed natural. She bit her lower lip intrigued. His eyes met the action. “Then– Uhm… I’ll go then.” He looked at her eyes again. “I really have to find him.”
“Wait!” Hyori burst, before he could pass through the door he had already opened.
“What should I do if I find him?” Hyori spoke fast and despite not being drunk, her speech came out slurry. “Should we set up a place to meet in like an hour or something?”
“Oh… of course!” Namjoon laughed shyly. Whatever had crossed his mind was long gone and his long shoulders were now relaxed. “What if… Hum… I can give you my number— We could exchange numbers?”
“Oh…” Hyori's slightly pouted lips made Namjoon feel butterflies in his stomach. “Good idea!”
Both pull out their phones at the same time and the struggle to find each other's free hand to make the exchange of the device would seem awkward to anyone watching. But there was no one there besides Hyori, Namjoon, and the moon. So she found it endearing and the boy ended up laughing right after a shy giggle left the smart girl's lips.
With promises to text the other as soon as they found the tie deranged boy, they lingered on each other's stares before one going left and the other right, to the bottom floor, their hearts beating fast as if they had been running on adrenaline.
Tumblr media
Jungkook fishes his phone on the back of his trousers as he makes his way toward the entrance. He can see the first rays of sunshine hitting the windows and denouncing the party is in its last stages. And since the place is not so crowded anymore, he makes his way swiftly, phone in hand, ready to check up on Yoongi to see if he can score a ride home.
Instead, his motions come to a halt, as he spots who he had been looking for all along.
Carolina had her back to him, arms crossed as she looked to the side absentmindedly. The way she frowned as the sun came in contact with her eyes made him start walking again. A groovy tune fell from his lips in the form of a whistle as he came closer in a jolly mood.
“There you are!” The smile on the boy’s lips goes all the way up to his eyes. “I know it’s already the day after, but I think you’re still in time to congratulate me on the big win.”
The girl raises one eyebrow before he even comes into vision. She breathes deeply, and as he approaches her, a sarcastic smile is already shining on her lips. It had been ready for him.
“Oh, so that’s how much importance I have in your life, huh?” she says with a feign cockiness, just to push his buttons. “Didn’t know you liked me that much, virgin boy”
Carolina keeps looking ahead, too proud to spare him a glance. But he waits until she does, with a lack of response on his part. And as she turned her head to the side, to check if he was there and not just a mirage she made up in her mind, she caught herself staring at his big dark eyes.
Only then does he answer, “Nah. I just wanted to rub the victory on your face”
She snorts amused.
There was an agreeable silence between the two. Jungkook looked expectantly at the two-tone-haired girl before him. She returned the gaze trying to decide what was going to be her next move.
The thought of taking it easy for the first time ever since she started this bickering dance with him came to mind. But then again, the mean comments she once heard him share with Jennifer about herself had cut deeper than she had predicted.
She pended her head to the side. “You won alright, but that doesn’t mean you played well. Your performance was poor, to say the least.” she rolled her eyes, clicking her tongue. Then she delivered the final blow. “Honestly disappointing.”
Carolina observed how his jaw tensed at her comment and she had to force herself not to show how pleased she was with his discontent.
Jungkook smirked. “I didn’t know you kept me in check like that”
“Eunwoo is too nice to do the job, so–“
“Eunwoo–“ Jungkook snorted with laughter. His hands came to his hips and he turned around pacing. When he came face to face with her again, his face had already adopted a mad semblance. “I’m starting to believe that you’re doing this on purpose” he added fuming this time.
That was the main problem between the two; whoever had a pair of eyes could see. They would always interpret differently what the other had said.
“Doing what on purpose?” she asked, raising an eyebrow, somewhat confused. But Jungkook took it as a challenge. And he had been piling up until now too many situations to bother on not to burst. He wasn’t intending on holding back no longer.
“You’re into Eunwoo too?!” he assumes more than he asks and she grins outraged. “What? Making out with my teacher wasn’t enough?”
Carolina was ready to laugh about his mistake over her snarky comment about Eunwoo, but she didn’t expect what came afterward. Her mouth opened and closed, piecing the information together.
Jungkook nodded. “Yeah that’s right, Mr. Benjamin is my teacher,” he stated, index finger coming to hit his chest. She furrowed her brows, puzzled by the sudden information and even more by how he was reacting.
“And what does anything have to do with it?!” she burst.
“I just don’t get it! What do you even see in the guy?!”
“You’ve got to be kidding…” she chuckles, placing her hands on her hips and staring straight into his disappointed eyes. He crosses his arms waiting for an answer.
“The question is what I don’t see in him” she spits and Jungkook feels his blood boil. He looks at some point by her shoulder before looking at her eyes again, tongue coming to poke the inside of his cheek. He exhales, doing everything possible to think straight. “And honestly, that’s very rich of you– ‘Cause Jennifer is superb” she snaps.
He blinks. The urge of shaking her hard by the shoulders to make her understand his reasoning flashes before his eyes. Instead, Jungkook stays still, his chest moving up and down like he’s restraining himself. His hands halt before reaching her face from each side, fingers curling into fists the second after, in a nervous outbreak. He grunts impatiently. Her eyes never leave his face, unafraid, and mostly, daring.
“What Jen–“ he starts.
“Oh save it!” Carolina snaps again. “I hate to say something like this about someone but I feel like her purpose range goes to making out sessions only. I doubt you both ever talked about something other than demeaning other people—which disgusts me by the way. So fucking shut it with Ben. He’s great to make out? Yes, the fucking best but unlike your Kardashian over there he actually has a brain.”
Jungkook clicks his tongue. And Carolina doesn’t know if it is the light breeze that hits them or the angered state he is in, but his eyes are glossy.
“HE’S MY TEACHER FOR FUCKS SAKE! YOU’RE MAKING OUT WITH MY TEACHER.” Jungkook didn’t bother anymore if someone could hear them. And he dared to say that he would like it if that was the case.
He wasn’t close with the girl in front of him, nor did he think of her as a friend, or even a colleague, but he hated every second of her relationship with his substitute teacher. He couldn’t tell why it bothered him so much but It was crawling under his skin and he just wanted it over with.
“How do you think that makes me feel?” he asked with a tilt of his head, in a pouty manner. His eyes were angrier than she had ever seen.
But he didn’t have the time to receive an answer, as for the second he asked, they saw a group approach them, snapping their gazes at their figures.
Taehyung had his arms wrapped around both Namjoon and Jin’s necks. Yoongi came right behind them with his phone in his ear, and suddenly Jungkook’s phone began to ring. Everyone stopped for a second.
“Are we going already?” Hoseok came out of the front door and Jungkook saw the rest of his group by the front lawn looking both at him and Carolina awkwardly.
Hoseok looked from one to another, trying to grasp why the mood was so dreadful. He even whispered at Deo and Hyori, but the shortest one nudged at him with a sympathetic look on her face.
Jungkook’s phone stopped ringing as Yoongi’s hand came down with the device, locking it.
The tension was palpable as Carolina didn’t move by his side. He didn’t need to look at her to see what was going on, as in front of them, Taehyung pierced her with his gaze. His eyebrows were furrowed, eyes drowning in confusion and—as Jungkook could discern—disappointment.
“What?” the drunken boy breathes.
“Tae–” Carolina tries as the trio comes closer to them.
Taehyung eyes her for brief seconds and the look she has on her face suggests that what he had heard was true and not just some mean gossip invented by the volley player fidgeting by her side. He knew her far too well to know when she was trying to come up with excuses.
“I think I’m gonna be sick” he has time to say before taking one hand out from Namjoon’s shoulder to place it on top of his stomach. Jin’s face contorts in disgust but he still offers the stability his drunken friend needs.
Jimin rushedly leaves both girls who had been cuddling by his side, being shielded from the breeze that welcomed the new morning, to go help his roommate. But he isn’t quick enough.
Taehyung mentions retching and as soon as he does so, Carolina grabs Jungkook by the arm, pulling him closer. The boy stumbles, trying to take a questioning glance at her over his shoulder. Before he manages to do it, his black boots are covered with vomit.
“I hope that’s leather,” Yoongi comments trivially as Jin holds a pale Taehyung by the shoulders, looking to the side as he mentions vomiting as well.

Now Recruiting! ft. Inarizaki VB Boys - Part 7: The Summer is Ours
A/N: Took a while to update. This was supposed to come out before Summer ended because, well, it's a Summer chapter. And I had most of it written down but got stuck on the last part and a few others didn't convince me so I went back a few times to delete/change/add. And then a hurricane came, power took some time to come back and even after we had to deal with blackouts, my uni semester almost got fucked up since we lost three weeks of it so imagine how classes were to be able to make up for them. Thankfully I turned in my last projects this past Monday and got my grades today and they were all great!! I hope you enjoy this out of season piece. Happy holidays, everyone!
Summary: The team gets some well deserved vacation and goes on a trip. You all make the best out of hot Summer days, together.
Word count: 5,033
previous, masterlist
“Ya think she’s wearing the school swimsuit?”
“Yeah, she probably is.”
“Our school swimsuit ain’t that bad.”
“You do realize you sound like perverts.” Aran disapproved, standing close to the edge of the pool near where the twins and Gin were, Akagi next to him.
“That’s probably why she still hasn’t gotten in the water.”
You were at the school pool with the team, who officially had started their summer vacation. All the other way across, you sat in one of those lounge chairs chatting with Kita and Suna, each on one side.
“Oi!” Osamu called out. “What are you guys talking so much about?” making you three turn towards them.
“Oh. We’re planning a trip to the beach.” you gave them a closed lip smile. “Suna’s going home and we were trying to figure out a date we could all make it.”
“But we could just go without him.” Atsumu grinned at the middle blocker, “Do ya even like the beach, Suna?”  he asked knowingly.
“I don’t mind it.” He shrugged. Fucking liar, Osamu thought looking at him but unable to see his eyes, covered by dark shades. Last year when they all went together, Suna didn’t get foot in the water, standing under an umbrella almost the entire time, only joining the group to play some beach volleyball. He didn’t like the idea of eating while the wind was blowing sand everywhere and was all whiny afterwards when he got sunburnt.
“Yeah right, whatever. We can keep talking about it later. Now get in here.”  You couldn’t enjoy today if you kept only planning ahead.
Rolling your eyes, you obliged, pulling your shirt over your head and sliding off your shorts. And Osamu was right, you were wearing the school swimsuit. It was all black, with a V cut yet not deep enough to be inappropriate for school. “Do you need help putting on sunscreen?” The blonde offered a helping hand, apparently with all good intentions.
“Yeah, nice try.” you said. Still, you couldn't hide it got you a little flustered. The constant flirting would do that to you. He didn’t seem to mind the attention he got on himself and consequently to you when he did that, but you weren’t used to any of it. He chuckled as he noticed while the boys made fun of him for another failed attempt. What made them laugh even harder was when the captain got to help you apply some on your back instead, sitting behind you.
Suna hadn’t made a move to get in the water, until he stared at you, letting your hair fall to the side to help Kita. He grabbed the sunscreen conveniently just as you guys were done. “Suna, wait, um-.”  he looked at you. Standing behind him, you hesitantly placed a hand on his bare back, hands brushing the skin as you finished putting the sunscreen on for him. “There. You’d missed a spot.” You said nervously and moved away.
“I saw what you did there.” Osamu splashed water at him as soon as the middle blocker joined them.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” he played dumb, but as his shades slid down a little, he could see the playful glint in his eyes. If someone could feel the rapid beating of his heart, it would give him away that he wasn’t carrying the moment as smoothly as he played it out to be.
****
You had stayed at home for a few days, spending some time on your own enjoying the things you liked. Today, you felt like going out. It was hot outside, so going to the mall where there was air conditioner seemed like a good idea. Holding your younger brother's smaller hand, you both went from one store to another.
“Are you tired?” You asked after a while of walking around, seeing him rubbing his eyes. He shook his head but you knew better than that. “Sure you aren’t, tough boy.” you said, making him chuckle, and picked him up in your arms.
“I want ice cream.” he pulled back a little to look at you expectantly.
“Then we’ll get some and head back home.” nodding excitedly, he put his head back on your shoulder. You began your walk to the food court and to the ice cream shop and as you stood in line you started to crave yourself a cup of chocolate ice cream. “Do you want strawberry or you want something different today?” No response. He had fallen asleep. So you got out of the line, bidding a painful farewell to the sweet treat.
“y/n?” You heard someone calling out to you . Turning around, you were met with the twins and a smile was brought to your face.
“Hey, boys.”  They were now walking over towards you, bright smiles on their faces matching your own. “Can’t seem to get rid of you ever since I met you now.” you joked.
“I know you missed me.” Osamu winked at you and you chuckled. It was true, though. You’ve grown so fond of all of them these past few days without morning nor afternoon practice felt odd.
“You mean us.” Atsumu was quick to correct.
“No, not really.”  then he kept speaking to you, “What are you guys up to?”
“Ah. We were going to get some ice cream but he fell asleep.” You gestured with your head to the boy in your arms.
“Osamu and I were about to get some. Come with us.” Atsumu offered. You considered the offer. It was still early and you could use some time with your friends.
“Okay.” You four went back to the ice cream shop. Osamu helped you with your bags as you two looked for a booth while Atsumu went to order. You tried to pay for yourself but both boys shut you down, saying it was on them. Osamu excused himself as he went to help his brother while you stayed back at the table, your brother still peacefully asleep, his head on your lap as you played with some strands of his hair.
“Mint? With chocolate?”  you questioned.
“That’s what I always tell him.”
“I am not taking criticism from people whose favorite flavors are basic.”
“I wasn’t going to.” you chuckled. “But does it taste good?”
“You wanna try it?” He offered. You nodded, and Atsumu couldn’t believe what happened in front of his own eyes. His twin brother was sharing his food. And he wasn’t being pushed to do so either. His face contorted in protest, but he shut his mouth when he remembered your brother was asleep - not much out of politeness but more as he liked the little boy better when he was sleeping soundly -. Grabbing another spoon, you tried the mint chocolate chip dessert. Tilting your head, you took in the new flavor. After a few seconds you scrunched your nose, making Osamu laugh, ‘You didn’t like it.”
You shook your head. “It’s not bad… But I would still pick chocolate over it.”
“Your taste buds are broken.”

Summer went by fast, days blurring together. Glimpses of warm yellow afternoons, clear blue skies, and sometimes a rainy day interrupting them, bringing some relief.
As Suna arrived at the station, he stretched his arms over his head before standing up and grabbing his bag. While he crossed the doors, he saw some people standing outside, some waiting for their turn to board, others waiting to meet with the arriving. He didn’t expect to see anyone until the next day, so imagine his surprise as his eyes landed on a familiar face, her gaze shifting in search of someone while she stood on the tips of her toes and craned her neck a bit, until her eyes met his and a smile took over her face. He told himself he shouldn’t like that sight as much as he did. Feeling his cheeks warm up under his mask he looked away, getting himself together before walking over to you.
“Welcome back.” you greeted, before nervously starting. “I thought it would be nice to meet you here… Because it’s nice to have someone waiting for you, isn’t it? Is it okay for you? Maybe I should’ve asked first but I thought it would rui-” looking up at him again as you heard him chuckle, the words died in your mouth as you saw he had put his mask down, the crowd having dispersed, and a beaming smile was adorning his face as he stared at you, expression all soft. You felt your face heating up.
“Thank you for coming.”
“S-Sure.”
Something similar happened to him the next morning, as if recalling a favorite memory.
“y/n! Over here!” the boys called you over as soon as they spotted you among the small crowd at the station.
“Hey.” you greeted, “Sorry to make you wait.” you excused, looking around “Is everyone else here already?”
“Nah, Suna's still missing.” Osamu looked down at his phone, “Ah, he texted. Says he just arrived.”
It was pretty early, and Suna missed the comfort of his bed a little more with each step he took, still tired from his trip back to Hyogo the day before. He looked up from his phone after he texted Osamu looking around once again hoping to find one of his friends.
“Oi!” Turning around, he was met with his team. As he walked over, you turned around and again you didn’t hesitate to dedicate your smile to him (a funny feeling kept creeping its way on his chest) . “Finally, man. We thought you were bailing on us.”
****
As soon as you got to the beach, the twins raced each other to get on the water - but suddenly they made a harsh stop, hanging just by the shore, furiously warming up (it was dangerous to go swimming without doing so they recalled)-,you shouting behind them for them to put on some sunscreen but of course they paid no mind to you. They’ll regret it but now they felt they would regret more losing to each other. Everyone would have to deal with the consequences later. Kita and a couple of the others had stayed back to help getting settled on the spot you had chosen before joining the rest.
When you were done, you looked over dreamily towards the sea. It sure was a beautiful day to spend outside. Thankfully it wasn’t very crowded yet, so you could see the coast stretching far beyond, the water seemed to sparkle under the sunlight, so clear you could see the shore bottom. There were a few palm trees nearby, which brought a pleasant shadow over you to rest from the unrelenting sunrays. The sand was warm beneath your feet, as you wiggled your toes in it.
Simultaneously, the green opal eyed boy had been looking over the scenery too, but his gaze was anything but dreamy. It denoted something close to struggle, constricted in discomfort. Looking over at you and taking in your expression, he determined he’ll have a good time nevertheless.
“It’s so pretty today, don’t you think?”  you turned your head to meet his gaze. He thought his surroundings got brighter for a moment.
“Yeah, pretty.”
“Aren’t you joining the others?” You both looked out to where the rest of your friends were, the twins splashing water at each other, Akagi pointing excitedly at something in the water as Kita’s curious glance followed it, Aran was talking to Omimi before Atsumu accidentally splashed some water at him, his momentaneous peaceful spell effectively broken. You chuckled. Poor Aran.
“I think I’ll join later.” He settled in saying after a moment of contemplation.
You hummed. It was obvious to you back then when you were planning this outing that he wasn’t fond of this kind of scenery. But you wanted to try and make it more enjoyable for him this time around, or tolerable, at least. It wasn’t fair to leave him behind. Taking a deep breath, you suggested, “Wanna take a walk around first?”
****
You situated yourself in Atsumu’s shoulders as Suna did the same in Osamu’s. You were currently playing Chicken Fight.
“Don’t let me win.” You said to Suna jokingly.
“I wasn’t planning on doing so. You’re going down.”
“Please, y/n, we can’t afford to lose to these two.”  He wouldn’t be able to stand it.
“I’ll do my best.”
And so the game began. You leaned over, careful not to lose your balance going forward and felt Atsumu’s grip on you tighten to keep you steady and safe. Reaching for Suna’s side, you tried pushing him, barely making him stagger. He chuckled mockingly at you which only provoked you, huffing determinedly, deep pout set on your face. So you went to push him harder this time. He was standing on the defense because he knew he didn’t have to do much to make you tumble. So when your hands reached forward you were met with his own, both putting some strength to avoid losing your balance - you were straining more than him, though, he was just putting enough to not let you push him off Osamu-.
“This is ridiculous.” You groaned out. “You’re stupidly strong. All of you. It’s not fair.”
“Giving up already?”  Again, that stupid, yet very nice you had to admit, taunting smile was directed at you.
“Never.” Freeing yourself from his grasp, you tried again. This time, he was surprised as he almost fell, but managed to recover. You, on the other hand, got so carried away by your almost victory that when he made his next attempt, you, ungracefully, tumbled down into the water, much to Atsumu ‘s dismay. You heard Osamu and Suna cheer as you resurfaced, squinting your eyes playfully at them as you moved your hair away from your face.
You all amused yourselves a lot the entire day. Playing volleyball later came to be a tougher yet funnier activity, with how the environment didn’t play a very supporting role with the boys causing them to make a few more mistakes they could’ve easily avoided were they in their usual setting.
“That was the wind!” The blonde protested after one of his killer serves’ trajectory went out of whack.
“Stop blaming the wind on you being a shitty player.”
They had placed a bet: losers would get buried in the sand. Yet, when the game was over and losers had to give in, they started to back track.
“Maybe if you hadn't been arguing half the game, you would’ve won. Now keep your end of the bet.” Gin sent a mocking smile to the twins while Suna pouted and squinted his eyes up at the sky, light skin visibly sunburnt already. Thankfully, he was on the winning team.
Just as they were about to surrender and give in, an idea sparked up in Osamu’s mind.
Osamu had a nice smile, you always thought. Kind of a lazy smirk that was quite attractive. But right now he was grinning at you, and you didn’t like it. You could only have an idea of what that could possibly mean, and it wouldn’t  end up good for you. “Whatever you are thinking, it’s a no.”  you rushed to say, emphasizing with a profuse shake of your head and your gestures. That caught the attention of the rest, which quickly caught what was happening. “I wasn’t even playing.” Because you were keeping the score.
“C’mon, it’ll be fun.”
“Then you go and accept what’s coming for you.”
The attention was effectively shifted towards you and they totally forgot about the initial point of the bet. Guess who ended up covered in sand? (Atsumu sacrificed himself and ended up under the sand beside you. Osamu jokingly threw a handful of sand over his head, then wrote over him “Here rests the lamer twin”. When Atsumu managed to get out of there, a cackling Osamu set out running with his bickering twin hot in his heels.)
When they got you out, you went into the water to get the excess of sand off you. Kita was starting to build a sandcastle when you got back out. Joining him, you set to do one beside him, while Akagi joined the captain. Your work, however, was quickly criticized.
“Uhhh,” Suna started, fighting a smile, as he looked down between you and your blooming architectural project, “What are you doing?”
“A sand castle.” you answered, oblivious to his tone or the look on his face until you heard Akagi snort and looked up from your work. Rintaro found hilarious, yet very cute, how your face morphed from pure enthusiasm to complete offense in mere seconds as you took in their expressions.
You looked between Akagi and Suna, “What?”
Your “castle” had one of its towers collapsing, the others looked like tiny mountains. There even was one which looked more like a cone or pyramid, as if someone had just picked up a bunch of sand and thrown it in the spot without bothering to shape it. Looking over at Kita’s, you saw two twin towers imposingly upright on front, and two matching ones at the back, its walls forming a perfect little square. Staring at your poor little castle, your high spirited spark died and fell from your eye. Even Kita chuckled, as his all devoted eyes looked at you.
Suna sat down opposite to you and flicked your forehead, making you yelp, hand flying up to the offended spot. “Stop pouting. Let me help you.”
“Oi, ‘Samu, I bet I can make a better sand castle than you.”
“Why do you two turn everything into a competition?”  Omimi asked in vain, for Osamu was already agreeing.
“Bet.”
“I think it’s missing something.” you said while inspecting the improvements over the small sand structure, “We should decorate it.” the idea lighted up like a lightbulb over your head, eyes roaming the sand. You walked a bit further.
The boys looked at each other, still not getting where you were going with it, “What exactly are you searching for?”
“This.” you crouched down and picked up a few small seashells.
Suna smiled, unbeknownst to you, as you excitedly carried on your task. “Do we get extra points for creativity?” you joked as you finished and turned to look at him, then at the others.
As early evening rolled in, you had all gone to the showers and changed into your dry clothes. The boys suggested one last activity before having to leave, as they got out of their bags a bunch of fireworks they had acquired from who knows where.
“We’re going to miss our ride back.” You stressed.
“There’s still plenty of time, relax.” Atsumu walked over to you, handing you a sparkler while giving you a smile. You hesitated to get pulled into it but to no avail.
Reaching for it attracted by the shining light which reflected in your eyes and casted a warm glow on your faces under the twilight, you spun it around, face illuminated also by your excitement as the blonde watched you. You met his eyes, but the little moment was broken by a loud explosion, startling you and looking in its direction.
“Oi! Why the hell you bring that? You’re gonna get the police called on us.”  But there were no signs to be alarmed. You all laughed it off and kept walking or running after each other along the shore, fireworks dancing in the air.
****
“I’m melting.” Atsumu complained, voice distorted as the fan placed on the table close to his face, turned towards him. Some of his hair was sticking to his forehead, moist with sweat.
“Yeah, and you’re not sharing the damn fan.” Osamu tilted the appliance over, further to his direction. He was sitting beside his brother.
You had all crashed over at Suna’s to help him settle back in properly. Now that you were done, the twins sat down on the floor by the table, while you cut some fruit on the small kitchen. Suna was standing by your side. For a while, he kept brushing his hair back and out of his face until he gave up and grabbed a hairband instead. You had to stop yourself a couple of times from staring at him, nothing obstructing the view of his features. You stood there in comfortable silence as you worked and he revealed some plates out of the cupboard.
When you both walked over to the other pair, they both thanked you as you passed them the food, and Osamu brought something up, “There’ll be fireworks tomorrow night. We should all go.” He shrugged, giving his watermelon slice a great bite.
“You’re coming, right, y/n?” The blonde insisted on your confirmation.
“Oh. Sure.” You smiled at them.
“Are you wearing a yukata for the festival?” Osamu prodded.
“Maybe.” you hadn’t worn a yukata in years. “I might go see the sunflowers during the day.”
“We could go with you if you like.”
“Okay.” So it was settled.
The next morning, the four of you met and made your way to the sunflower fields and walked along rows and rows of them.
“Atsumu.” You called the blonde, and as he turned to look at you, you took a picture on your phone.
“Oi! I wasn’t ready for that.”  He protested as he made silly poses to make you laugh.
“She could’ve let you know hours in advance and still it’ll turn out bad.”
“I still can’t believe people like you better than me.”
You turned, hoping to find Suna near you but he was nowhere to be seen. You frowned, walking back the way you came. As you rounded a corner and almost reached the entrance where there was a small stand with buckets filled with sunflowers ready for sale, you saw him.
“There you are, Rin-“  The rest of the words vanished as one bright, yellow bloom appeared in front of you. Suna was offering one of the flowers to you. Extending your hand, you went to take it from him, fingers brushing as you did.
“Thank you.” you smiled down at it, then back up at him.
“Don’t thank me.” He patted your head, faint blush covering his cheeks matching yours. “What are you doing?” He questioned as he saw you aim your phone towards him.
“Picture? It’s just… You look pretty. And the sunflowers…” What the hell were you saying? You stopped yourself as you looked over at him, faint blush now a bright pink. He covered your mouth with his hand in case you planned to kill him with another comment, making your eyes widen as he pulled you next to him.
“Excuse me, sir.”  He called a man who was about to walk by. “Could you take us a picture, please?”
And so you got your pictures. The man took several just in case. In the first one, you were looking up at Suna with a bright smile as you took in his reaction. The second one, he tried to hide his face a bit by placing his head on top of yours, and he was smiling on the rest.
Evening came, you were almost done getting ready to go out with your friends. The invitation was extended to the entire team and you were to meet them there. Your mom helped you put on your yukata. She stared at you through the mirror in front of you, she seemed happy. “I like that you’re going out more.”
When you were done, you made your way to the festival. There were a lot of stands, so you didn’t know where to go first to find them. It wasn’t necessary, for as you took out your cellphone to shoot a quick text on the team's chat, Shinsuke stood in front of you, wearing his own yukata. He had a placid look on his eyes, seeming as if he was enjoying the night outing, while they took their time to take your appearance, “Good evening, y/n. You look nice.”
“Thank you.” you smiled at him, “Not looking so bad yourself.” As you began walking, you asked, “Have I missed much?”
“Not really. Atsumu has been trying to get every prize he can at the games while the others stop by the food stands.”
It was not longer after that that Suna found a noticeably - coming from him any evident sign of emotion was something to take seriously- uneasy Kita.
“Kita-senpai?”
“Suna. Have you by any chance seen y/n?”
“She got here already?” Kita took that as a no.
“Yes, not so long ago. As we went to join you guys I looked beside me and she was gone. I’m worried she got lost in the crowd.”  Kita was beating himself up for it pretty seriously. If he’d been more careful, he could have prevented this from happening.
Suna tried calling you, while looking side to side hoping to get a sight of you. No answer. It was directed to your voicemail.
Both boys tried to reach you, unsuccessfully. Finally, they updated the rest and each went their way to look for you and agreed to meet near the entrance after some time if there weren’t any news.
While you tried making your way back to Kita or hopefully find any of the others, you’d catched a glimpse of a gloomy little boy standing alone. It seemed like he had been crying not too long ago.
“Hey, darling. Are you lost?”  he nodded, sniffling and rubbing his eyes.
“Mommy told me to stay by her side but I wandered off to play and now I can’t find her.”
By now, Suna swore he had walked the festival grounds thrice. And no sight of you. He was about to ask the others again when suddenly you showed up in front of him like an apparition. Relief washed over him as he saw you, and then he took in what was happening. You had a little boy in your arms, and he had signaled over to a woman excitedly, screaming for her. When the woman heard him, she turned sharply and hurried to meet with you. She took the boy from your arms and hugged him fiercely, while you smiled watching them reunited and she thanked you. Before they left, the little boy reached for you and gave you a hug and kissed your cheek. Only when you were alone, you realized your situation. You had become the lost kid. For one second you got distracted with your phone, and when you turned, you collided with Suna, who held you in a secure grip by your arm.
“I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” Was the first thing he said, taking your full presence now, starting from where he felt your skin under his touch as he held you to staring at all of you. Your hair was unusually styled up, a bit disheveled by now. You had put a little makeup on, and were wearing a yukata too. To him you appeared absolutely breathtaking and just for a moment you stared at each other. But then he noticed the small cut on your temple and brought his hands to both sides of your face.
“Are you hurt?”
“That’s…  I fell while looking for Kita-senpai. There were these people handling a giant puppet and they didn’t see me so we crashed.” You hurriedly explained, flushing deeply under his concerned gaze as you avoided eye contact and gestured with your hands. He caught one of your hands as he saw your scuffed palms. “And my phone got broken. But I’m okay. Then I found a little boy who lost his mom and helped him find her. So I guess it’s good I got lost too.” You chuckled nervously.
The next thing Suna did caught you by surprise and almost killed you on the spot. He held both your hands up to his lips and kissed them right over your hurt skin. Then a kiss to your temple.  “There. Now’s much better.” He smiled at you, then offered his hand. “I’m not losing sight of you tonight.”  Nodding hazily, you took it and started walking - might as well floating- while your brain tried to make sense of what had just happened.
“Y/N! It’s really you!” Suna let go of your hand as you got closer and  the group spotted you coming.
“What are you on now? Of course it’s really her.”
He skillfully brushed off the comments and approached you, grabbing your face much like Suna had done earlier, only his face was much closer, and you could smell the sugar off his breath from whatever sweets he had been eating earlier. If you were still holding hands you would’ve noticed  how tense the latter got. “Are you sure you’re okay?” What happened to your forehead? And your face. It’s a little red. Actually no, it’s redder now. “ Only when your gaze traveled quickly between his lips and back to his eyes, he realized how close he was and his breath cut in his throat. Atsumu blushed deep pink before Osamu broke the awkward moment for everyone.
“Get out of her face, dude. Trying to steal the air out of her lungs? No wonder her face’s red.”
“Y/N.” Kita started later, careful as you both sat on a bench and he placed a band-aid on your palm, the cute plushie a shy Atsumu had won for you sitting on your lap. “I’m so sorry for not noticing earlier that you were missing.”
You gave him a soft look. You didn’t think he'd take it so personal. “It wasn't your fault. Stuff like this happens.” You tried to reassure him.
“But something worse could’ve happened to you. And if only I’d been more careful-”
“It didn’t. And it wouldn’t have been your fault if it had.” You looked at him waiting to see if he understood. He gave you a slight nod and you smiled contentedly. “Besides, I’m tough, don’t you think?” That made him laugh. "What? You don't think so?" You faked offense.
"No- I mean yes. You are." You thought you saw a faint blush covering the apple of his cheeks. You let out a small chuckle, then you stood up.
“Now, let’s have fun all together." And he followed you to join the rest.

So I'm reading your works and I love them !! I was thinking of requesting some kind of drabble or whatever you like, about a female reader who has thick thighs and is somewhat plump and is in love with Tsukishima but he makes a comment about the food and she feels bad and when she meets Bokuto in the boot camp Bokuto is too cute and attentive to her asking for her number and a date. If you don't feel comfortable with this, just ignore it and good luck with your blog. Sorry my english is bad<3

Tsukishima
You and Tsukishima have been dating in your first year (as you both went to the same middle school together.)
You were in love with Tsukishima, you always have been to be honest, but once you became officially boyfriend and girlfriend your feelings amplified.
But recently, Tsukishima hasn’t been so nice.
“Y/N we’re going on another training camp at Nekoma” Hinata exclaimed running up to you, as you leaning against Tsukishima “and you get to come too this time!”
You recently became the new trainee manager as the third-year manager, Kikyoko, is going to graduate. Tsukishima acted as if you being around all the time in practice was the worst thing in the world, but Yamagucchi always assured you that ‘Tsukki’ was just joking.
“Oh well that’s fun...” you say entertaining Hinata’s excitement. You were kind of excited to go to the training camp too, as it was in Tokyo after all. You were always a big fan of volleyball as your dad used to play for the national team and you were planning to play on the girls team this year but you felt that you didn’t have the body for it (which was obviously not true.)
Hinata kept on rambling on before Tsukishima insulted him. “Gosh Kei, you don’t have to be so rude.” you complained, he slightly nudged you off of him and put on his headphones showing you that he was not in a good mood.
You let the rest of the practice continue, making notes of things and basically being Kiyoko’s shadow. As it ended, you waited outside for Tsukishima to walk home with you, but one of the guys told you he left 5 minutes ago. You knew there was no point of chasing after him so you just walked on your own, making you sigh in defeat.
Tsukishima was what you would describe as hot and cold. Some days he was fine a ‘perfect gentlemen’ but other days, days like this Tsukishima was just Tsukishima.
When you got home, you decided to watch matches of all the other schools just to get some insight. You were watching a Fukarodani V Nekoma match from a few years ago and something caught your eye, well someone did to be more specific. A beefy, bicolour haired boy who was hooting like an owl was mesmerizing to watch.
You saw that his name was Bokuto Koutarou which triggered your next actions, which were to internet stalk him. You learned that he was the captain of the team and the team’s ace and the 5th ace in the country which piqued your interest in the boy even more.
‘This is going to be an exciting training camp’ you think to yourself before going to sleep.
`Kiyoko gave you an itinerary of all the things you should bring, since you weren’t going to be joining in any of the matches you were reminded to bring things that would keep entertained.
You get to the bus at the crack of dawn, ready to be driven to Tokyo. Hinata and Kageyama were already arguing (let’s pretend that they didn’t have to do the retakes in the test) Tanaka and Nishinoya were being loud, and the rest of the members were already asleep. You wanted to sit next to Tsukishima but when you were about to sit down, he put his carryon bag in the seat next to him.
The bus ride was around 4-5 hours, and you spent your time reading and sleeping. Daichi got the loudmouths to calm down making the bus ride more tolerable. You suffered from slight motion sickness but you powered through.
When you arrived there, you saw all the other teams and their buses too. You felt a bit overwhelmed, seeing these tall boys just crowd around an entrance way. But too your surprise, noticing your slight anxiousness, Tsukishima grabbed your hand in a hand-hold.
The Nekoma coach, explained how the day would pan out and where each team would be residing for the week. There was a lot of commotion getting everyone settled, Hinata and Nishinoya were basically bouncing off of the wall commenting on all the people and the place and how they’re going to ‘crush the competition.’
You could tell that when the other teams were looking at Karasuno they were all staring at Kiyoko. Inquisitive about how there wasn’t only one girl manager but there was two. As you were walking your eyes locked with Bokuto Koutarou’s making yours widen, you blush and turn your head quickly.
What you didn’t know was, after your small interaction, Bokuto elbowed Akaashi and said “Akaaashi AKKAAASHI, did ya see that? did ya?” he was flying with happiness “That girl from Karasuno smiled at me. She’s really pretty.”
“I think she’s from Karasuno” Akaashi said “So maybe you’ll see her around”
Bokuto stared off in the direction you were walking in “Yeah, hopefully.”
The first day, everyone got settled in and then the teams went straight into games. There were two different gyms and today, in gym 1, you were watching Karasuno V Nekoma. (By the way I literally don’t remember the teams at the training camp besides Nekoma, Karasuno and Fukarodani.) The game was very back a point each team making point after point, you already knew of Nekoma’s captain, Kuroo Testurou and the setter Kenma, you’ve actually played games with Kenma online before so you were fairly acquainted with him already.
The games ended and it was now dinner time, the canteen was packed with all the boys rushing to line up for the food. You waited at the back of the line, not really caring about when you got your food. Suddenly, you felt a tap on your shoulder and you looked over to see Boktuo,
“Hi.” he said “I’m Bok-”
“Bokuto Koutarou!” You finished “I'm a big fan..” you cringed immediately at your excitement ‘pull it together Y/N’ you scold yourself.
“Oh well hi, I’m glad you know who I am” he said “and may I ask for your name?”
“Oh I’m Y/N L/N” you say with a slight blush “I'm the trainee manager from Karasuno.”
“Cool! Well I hope to see you aro-” he starts
“Y/N, I’ve been looking all over for you, I already got your food for you.” Tsukishima said pulling at your arm a bit harshly, dragging you over to a table with the Karasuno team.
“Gosh Tsukki, no need to be so harsh” you say rubbing at your wrist, he didn’t apologize and just started eating his food.
You look down at your plate and see the small portion that Tsukki got for you. The Karasuno bunch was being loud, as they usually are, so when you whisper “Tsukki what the fuck is this” whilst nudging him in the side, he didn’t hear you (or atleast he pretended he didn’t.) You tried again but a little louder saying, “Tsukishima what the fuck is this.” you realised you said it a bit too loud as the whole Karasuno table stopped their conversations to look over at the slight commontion you caused.
“What do you mean Y/N?” he said with a slight smirk on his face.
“I mean what’s with the portion size of a bird that you gave me?” you ask getting upset “Do you really think im that big?”
“Well, you could start eating less that’s for sure.” he said earning gasps from you and some of the people sitting at the table “Y/N let's face it, you eat like a pig and you look like an elephant, me making your food portion smaller is the least I could do.”
By now you had tears in your eyes, Tsukishima was a dick. You knew this, everybody knew this to be honest, yet you still loved him. He wasn’t like this in middle school, yes he was a bit snarky and rude (but wasn’t every middle schooler?) High school Tsukishima was like a completely different person. As much as you wanted to run away and hide, you knew you couldn’t.
So you stood up and said “Tsukishima, I’ve spent 3 years loving and pining after you, because I thought you were this great guy, but turns out you’re a huge asshole” you start making some of the people listening in smile in laughter “Tsukishima, I’ve hated this past year dating you, you’ve been such a huge dick and I’m finally stopping you. I can’t do this anymore. I won’t.” You start making your way to exit before finally saying “Oh and by the way I’m not the pig here, you are... oh and I’m breaking up with you.” You left, hearing a few laughs and some claps behind you.
You felt relieved, like the massive cloud that’s been over your head is finally gone. You went to the gym since you knew it was empty and picked up a ball to just throw it around a bit. After a while of ‘de-stressing,’ you hear someone else enter the gym.
“Oh I didn’t know you’d be here.” said Bokuto
“Well here I am,” you say awkwardly “I can leave if you want me too, I know this is for actual volleyball players.”
“No no it’s fine you can definitely stay, in fact do you mind setting for me?” he asks
“Sure, of course I don’t mind” you reply, excited you get to play with someone.  You haven’t played in ages, you always begged Tsukishima to just throw a ball around with you but he never did.
You set to Boktuo a lot, with him always asking for ‘another one’ everytime he spiked the ball. Eventually, you were tired of setting and wanted to spike. You originally was a spiker to begin with taking after your dad. Thats why you took a liking to Bokuto in the first place cause he reminded you of the joys you had when watching your father play.
Bokuto set a ball to you and you spiked it with great strength and accuracy smiling at the burning feeling you felt in your palm.
“Woahh” Bokuto shouted going towards you in amazement “Where did you learn how to spike like that?”
“From my dad, I don’t know if you heard of him before but my dad’s name is D/N L/N...?” you say
“D/N L/N, Y/N he is my idol!” he shouted again “I want to be just like him.”
“I think you can, I see a lot of similarites in the way you both play.” you say
“Really! And you’ve seen me play before..?” he asks
“Yeah, I watched some of your games before coming here... you’re really good” you shyly admit.
“Wow.”
You and Bokuto spend the rest of your time, talking about volleyball you’re interests, things you have in common, your likes and dislikes. Talking to Bokuto was refreshing, he didn’t randomly insult you or make snide comments about your weight or your looks. He just genuinely looked happy to be there talking to you, unlike Tsukishima.
Seeing your change in mood, Bokuto stops talking and asks “are you alright? I forgot to ask earlier, but I saw what happened in the canteen and I hope you’re okay.”
“Yeah I’m fine, it’s just things with me and Tsukishima reached a breaking point, I guess...” you say sniffling a bit talking about it “But it’s fine now I’ve broken up with him and I feel better already.”
“So you’re saying your single...?” he asked blushing a bit
“Yeah I guess I am...” you smile blushing also.
“Okay great...well I hope this isn’t too forward after everything happened with Tsukki and all but...” he starts “but would you like to go on a date with me?”
“Who me?” you ask as if you weren’t the only other person in the room
“No the volleyball” he responds sarcastically “Of course you Y/N.”
“Are you sure, cause to be honest Bokuto you’re a really good-looking guy” you say making him smile widely “so I think you need someone to match your level in attractiveness” you look down and his smile drops.
“What do you mean?” he asks before realising all the stuff Tsukishima said about you “Y/N you’re beautiful, your face, your body just you.” you blush at his words “when I first saw you when you were walking past us in the entrance way the first thing I thought and said about you was “Akaashi who is that girl she’s beautiful.””
“Really?” you ask with disbelief
“Mhm” he nods excitedly “So will you go on a date with me?”
“I guess so...” you say a bit unsure
“HEY HEY HEY!” he exclaims “I gotta go tell akaashi!” he runs out of the gym in a hurry making you laugh, but he comes back to give you a quick unexpected kiss on the cheek making you smile.
You checked your phone for the time realising that you’ve been with Bokuto for 3 hours and you knew that everyone would be going to sleep now. As you are the manager you slept seperately from the rest of the team but before you went to your sleeping quaters you went to Karasunos.
“Y/N where have you been? We’ve been worried about you.” asked yammagucchi
“It’s fine yams don’t worry about it, guys” you say catching everyones attention “I just wanted to apologise to you for my outburst at dinner, it wasn’t my intention to cause a scence.”
“It’s fine Y/N” said sugawara “He definitely deserved it.”
“Yeah as your marvellous senpai we gave him a good telling off” said Tanaka and Nishinoya  making you chuckle.
“Okay well thanks guys, I’m going to sleep goodnight.”
“Wait Y/N can I speak with you.” asked Tsukishima gesturing to outside the room
“Umm sure” you respond following him into the corridor.
“I just want to say I’m sorry for the things I’ve said and done over the past year and how I’ve been a terrible boyfriend, you don’t deserve that. So, I’m sorry.”
“I can’t say I can forgive you yet.” you say making Tsukishima look sad “but maybe with effort from you we can become friends possibly?”
“Just friends?” he said with hope in voice thinking that you could be something more.
“Just friends.” you repeated and confirmed “Besides I have been asked on a date”
“With who?”
“None of your business stingyshima” you mock the nickname that Hinata calls him making him scowl and you smile “Goodnight.”
After Bokuto’s confession and Tsukishima’s apology, the rest of the training camp went off without a hitch. In your breaks and lunchtimes, you got to know more about Bokuto and with Kuroo’s help you even got to sneak out to actually go on your date. You sometimes even went to practice with them getting to show off your skills, with Bokuto cheering you on and complimenting you every single time.
Tsukishima kept his distance for the most part, and kept the snarky comments about you and Bokuto to himself (even though he was dying to say them.) You eventually fully forgave Tsukishima in your 3rd year but you definitely weren’t as close as you used to be. Tsukishima’s comments and actions did affect you for a while however with the help of your loving boyfriend, you were reminded how beautiful you are no matter what weight, shape or height you were.
You and Bokuto stayed together, you made sure to come to every one of his games and when you introduced him to your dad he fainted on sight. Your dad and Bokuto got along, and became very close friends, Bokuto always came to him for advice (especially volleyball advice.) You loved Bokuto and he definitely loved you too.
AN: I hope you liked it, since I didn’t want to make it too similar too the Atsumu insecure one. And I feel like it dragged out a bit but got rushed in the endd....but oh well...

The Calm Before The Storm Chapter 3: Crumbling Facade
After being seated at the Rokuten’s outdoor dining area, Rei and Minako began to flip through their menus.
“Man, I almost forgot about this place. We only came here one time, right?” Rei pondered while looking over her menu.
“Speak for yourself.” Mina replied, having already closed her menu and set it to the side. Before long the duo had ordered and Mayako, the co-owner of the restaurant, brought the food out to them herself.
“Enjoy you two!” She said with a warm smile.
The two began digging in, but Minako was soon met with a bit of introspection from her raven-haired companion.
“Who would’ve thought that Ami of all people would have found someone before you or I did?”
“Well it wasn’t like she did it on her own. The two of us did a pretty good job playing cupid if I do say so myself.” The blonde responded before taking a proud sip of her drink.
“Heh, I guess you’ve got a point there.”
“I get what you mean though. We definitely have more attempts under our belts than Ami on that front.” Minako said before taking another bite.
“Well, failed attempts.”
“Hey, they weren’t all failures. What about Yuichiro?”
“You mean the guy who I never officially dated and hasn’t shown his face for nearly a year?” Rei shot back with a raised eyebrow.
“Well when you put it like that…”
“Yeah, I just don’t know what it is. There was him, Mamoru… others…” Rei said, biting her lip and turning away with a light blush.
“Would ‘others’ happen to include a certain bunhead we know?” The Guardian of Beauty said with a devilish smirk, prompting Rei to snap her head back in her direction with wide eyes.
“What… how…”
“You guys should know by now that you can’t hide this stuff from me.” Minako said, leaning back in her chair.
The raven haired girl let out a large sigh, “Alright, alright, I admit it. I did have a… brief, small crush on Usagi.”
“Wow, take out the words ‘brief’ and ‘small’ and that’s actually a true sentence.” Mina teased.
“Okay, fine! I was kind of super in love with her for, like, a year and a half! Happy?”
If Minako were to be honest, happy wasn’t the word she would use to describe her feelings about Rei telling her she had been in love with someone else, but she was glad that her friend was opening up to her.
“See? That wasn’t so hard.” The blonde shot back.
“But I really am over her. It took a while but ultimately I just had to accept that she and Mamoru are happy together.”
“Well, sure but… what about your happiness?” Minako questioned.
“If she’s happy, I’m happy.” Rei said sincerely, “And besides, there’s plenty of fish in the sea. I just… y’know… apparently am not the best fisherman.” She finished with a chuckle.
“Well, maybe the right fish is… closer than you think?” Minako said nervously, hoping she wasn’t being too obvious.
“Heh, maybe. But hey, why are we only focusing on my love life? It’s not like everything’s been peachy for you either!”
“What do you mean? I’m doing fine!” Minako exclaimed.
“Oh let’s see, should we start with when you dated two supervillains in one day? Or how about the time a guy broke your heart so bad you faked your own death? Or how about the time your old volleyball friend asked you out even though he already had a girlfriend (I still think you should’ve let me beat him up for that).” Rei finished before taking a sip of her drink.
Normally Mina would be upset about someone reminding her of all her past failures in the field of romance, but she would be lying if she said that Rei wanting to commit violence on her behalf didn’t make her a little happy.
“Is that bad? That’s probably bad… oh well” She thought to herself.
“Okay… so maybe I have had some… missteps, in this department. BUT, I will have you know that I have put all of that behind me.” The blonde said, crossing her arms proudly.
“Oh, did you find someone new to obsess over?” Rei asked with a smirk, prompting Minako’s eyes to shoot wide open, “Heh, figured, so do I know him?”
“Oh, um, well…” Minako stuttered, her eyes darting around the outdoor dining area, “P-p-probably not.”
“Are you okay?” Rei questioned, clearly picking up on Minako’s nervous energy.
“I’M FINE!” Minako all but shouted, earning her some confused looks from the other restaurant patrons.
“Oh, wait, I get it.” Rei said, causing Minako’s heart to skip a beat.
“You do?” Minako asked, nervously.
“It’s a girl, isn’t it? Mina, you know you don’t have to be embarrassed about that, I think it’s pretty apparent by now that, like, none of our friend group is straight.”
Mina was somewhat baffled that Rei could come so close to hitting the mark, yet still not quite get there, “Uh… well… I will neither confirm nor deny.” Minako said defiantly, shoving a large bite of food into her mouth.
“Uh huh. Well, whoever she is, she’d better be good enough for you.” Rei said before returning to her own meal.
“Good enough for me?” Minako thought, sneaking a look back up at her raven-haired friend, “She’s perfect.”
--
And that is where we will leave chapter 3. Sorry for the shorter chapter, but next time we get to see Mrs. Mizuno's reaction to her daughter's relationship! Will she approve? Guess you'll have to keep reading to find out!
Also, for those who don't remember, the Rokuten Restaurant is from the SuperS episode "Mansion of Secrets! The Menu of Love to You". Figured it would be more fun to have them go there then just have them sit at Crown for the millionth time.
Please let me know what you guys think! Comments, reblogs, likes, etc. are much encouraged and greatly appreciated!
And come back next time for chapter 4.

Haikyuu poly headcannons!! <33
Pairs: Kageyama & Hinata, Oikawa & Iwaizumi, Ushijima & Tendo, Sakusa & Atsumu, Kurro & Kenma, and finally Bokuto & Akaashi.
part 2
Sfw AND Nsfw
Slight time skip spoilers!!!
let me know what you want to see next
word count: 2.6K I got a bit carried away. lol
FEMALE READER
Tumblr media
Kageyama Tobio  and Hinata Shoyo
Sfw
It's a constant fight for attention
They are polar opposites, Hinata is warm and energetic while Kageyama is confused and awkward, but  they both love you so much it hurts.
How you got together was kind of a funny story, you and Hinata knew each other from middle school and reconnected when you met at a local mall in tokyo. So when you and Hinata started hanging out more he couldn't help but brag to Kageyama about it, which led to him wanting to meet you and thus began the year long fight for your love.
You couldn't choose between them so they came to the decision that they would just share you!
Your dynamics are pretty simple, you spend as much time with whoever is not at practice at the time, lucky they have two completely different practice schedules, Hinata in the morning and Kageyama in the afternoon.
That meant cuddling with Kags in the morning and cooking lunch with Hinata in the afternoon.
You guys also have a weekly date night! You have a rotation of who gets to choose what they want to do.
Unsurprisingly Hinata likes volleyball inspired dates, but he also likes the movie and picnic dates!
Kageyama is a bit more romantic, shockingly (he read a dating book), like romantic dinners and late night walks , shopping, anything to see you happy.
They also love anything you want to do, stay in? They make popcorn for movies. Dinner? Where, what and when should they make a reservation.
They are literally so whipped for you.
Nsfw
Oh~ ho ho~
I am a firm believer that these two are switches.
Hinata is a bit more submissive than Kags (for the most part), but he has his moments.
And i have this thing where Kags makes you and Hinata fuck while he watches biut votgh of you are power bottoms.
Toys toys toys
I'm talking double ended dildos and vibrators galore.
Punishments are usually for Hinata and consist of you riding Kags while he watches, and its absolute torture.
They also have nights where they have you alone and those are sweet and romantic, rose petals and candles.
It's never boring <33
“Tobio, doesn't she look so pretty?”
“God Shoyo you’ll cum in your pants if you grind like that”
“ go fuck yourself on the fucking dldo like a slut”
Tumblr media
Oikawa Tooru and Iwaizumi Hajime
Sfw
There are two ways that this happened
1. You grew up with them and slowly fell in love through your life, and you all got together in highschool
Or
2. You met Oikawa in Argentina, literally fell in love at first sight, stars in your eyes. This led to him bringing you back to Japan, which led to you meeting “Iwa-chan” (who looked much more beautiful in person). After hanging out everyday for about 3 weeks Oikawa bright up the idea of sharing
And here you are!
You guys are all similar but you share personal things with each boy
With oikawa you have the obsession with aliens and you too even have a beauty routine that you do every night before bed.
With Iwaizumi you, of course, make fun of Oikawa at every waking moment. But! You also do all different kinds of exercise with him. You have a monthly yoga class and a swim aerobics program every other tuesday!
These two spoil you so much it's ridiculous.
Perfumes, jewelry, clothes and even gaming things.
They will get you anything even if you don't want it (and they are rolling in cash so it doesn't really matter.)
Nsfw
Iwaizumi rules the bedroom.
And as much as Oikawa pretends to be the top, he falls apart the second you kiss him neck.
Favorite position?
Simple. It can go two ways.
Oikawa laying on his back, Iwa fuking him into heaven and you sitting on his face OR you on your stomach ass up with Iwa between your legs and Oikawa's dick in your mouth.
The only real times Oikawa is in you is when Iwazumi wants to see both of you be pathetic sluts, or when Oikawa is being punished, mostly cockwarming while he is tied and not able to thrust in you.
 Double penetration?
 Your punishment.
Whine and cry all you want neither of them are slowing down, this is really the only time Oikawa is dominant in the bedroom
“Aw, Tooru, look at her! So pathetic!”
“You look like two whores trying to fuck, Harder brats”
“Oh! Iwa her throat gets tighter when you do that!”
Tumblr media
Ushijima Wakatoshi and Tendo Satori
Sfw
Oh bby how did you get so lucky?
You have the best of both worlds!
Tendo, who you can joke around and cook with.
And Ushijima, your pillar and voice of reason.
This relationship was 100% started by Tendo. No question. He saw you and decided right then and there that you were his, and what kind of best friend would he be if he didn't share with Wakatoshi!
Thank god you were willing to do this, it would have Broken Satori AND Wakatoshis heart :((
This WAS the best decision of your life.
Your first date as a threesome was so cute, it started with walking around tokyo and you stopped and ate in a small cafe. You begged them to pay and they didn't let you so this became a game to see if you could ever find a way to pay before them.(you're still failing to this day)
After the cafe they took you to a small beach that had a little volleyball net set up. Insert uwus here
They taught you how to play, the basics if you didn't already know, and you guys played around until it was 2am
All of your dates are different but they either end like that or cuddling on the couch wachting movies. OR you know ;))
Nsfw
UHHH there are two ways this could go.
You being absolutely ruined by these two. Both being pretty big, they easily overpower you.
Tendo also has the obsession with being in your ass while ushijima rips your poor pussy apart.
Sadist tendo also makes a slight appearance, not letting yu cum for hours then making you cum over and over and over again
Or
Mr. Tendo controls what you and Toshi do!
Trust me Wakatoshi is still controlling you every waking second, but having Tendo tell him what to do (being slightly unaware of what to do anyway) gets him off just as much as you.
And when he’s feeling more adventurous, Tendo has kept you and Ushijima on literal leashes at his feet while he just chilled out. (i literally love this so much-)
You guys do a lot of exploring!
“Harder Toshi, the slut can take it”
“” we don't have enough dicks to fill all your holes”
“Satori! Please!” “Shhh, floor whores don't get to talk”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sakusa Kiyoomi and Miya Atsumu
My #2 pair
DAMN, i can't even put how whipped they are for you in words.
You defiantly knew Sakusa first.
You two met in the supermarket, much to his displeasure he had to shop for himself, it was the classic strangers to lovers trope
You both reached for the same countertop cleaner!
To both of your shock you touched his hand and immediately started to apologize to him (he couldn't even reply because he was so stunned by your beauty)
He snapped back and started to interrogate you about what cleaning products you use, you both didn't even realize how much time passed with you just talking about how you clean.
Eventually you exchanged numbers and texted almost all day.
This led to him texting you back every chance he had during practice breaks, but he never told you he was a professional volleyball players AND happened to be on one of the top teams in the country, (you found out when he randomly followed you on instagram)
Eventually he got sloppy and Atsumu looked at his phone and found your number! Aren't you lucky ;) almost immediately after he started to question Sakusa about you
Who is she?
Where did you meet?
Is she pretty?
Gimmie her number Omi, i wanna know her too!
Eventually Atsumu just stole his phone and started to non-stop call you.
“Uh Kiyo? This guy keeps calling me and asking me questions about you.”
“Ignore it”
It got so bad that when you officially met atsumu he had followed Sakusa to your meeting spot, and you hit it off! (much to Kiyoomi’s disdain)
After a few months, and a lot of talks, all three of you entered a relationship!
Your dynamic was great! You were clean like Sakusa and fun like Atsumu!
Perfect!
Another spoiling group, it's like they just know what you want. It doesn't even matter what you think :// no take backs :))
Plus you have girl time when they are at practice, a good time to plan surprises ;)
You even got Atsumu into skin and hair care (kiyoomi approves)
You are literally perfect (and the hottest couple in the planet)
Nsfw
Sakusa is in control.
No question.
He wants ti fuck you? Done.
He wants to watch you play with yourself. Already rubbing circles on your clit.
He wants you to ride Atsumu until you squirt? You're bouncing on Atsumu Cumming and cumming.
Believe it or not Sakusa AND Atsumu love messy blowjobs, seeing you slobber all over yourself and their cocks is the most beautiful thing to them.
Atsumu also has the dirtiest most vulgar mouth on earth, will not spare your feelings one bit.
But that doesn't even measure up to how Kiyoomi speaks to you. He has no shame is telling you that they are going to let everyone on the team fuck you senseless.
Sakusa also loves to punish you and Atsumu for literally anything, he will tie you to each other and put vibrators in your holes and just watch you  two desperately grind on each other to get relief that just won't come.
(they both love to ruin your orgasm too)
“Go Whore i know you can bounce faster than that”
“Look at her Omi! Isnt she the best little cumdump? Yes you are! Yes you are!” (pls he treats you like a pet)
“Hey Miya. Wouldn't shugo just love to have her on her knees for him? I think we should let her sometime”
I would do anything for these two-
Tumblr media
Kuroo Tetsuro and Kozume Kenma
Oh? You're the most spoiled pet in the world?
You definitely grew up together, aka you've had both of them wrapped around your finger since you were 8.
You guys probably started dating after you accidentally let it slip that you were in love with the both of them.
After you all confessed and talked for hours, you were officially dating!
Not much has changed, but they were more affectionate and loving and more physical with you.
Your dates are really random, all the varying schedule and all.
They take you to anime cafes and gaming cafes and ALL the different cafes.
They always tell you you don't have to work but you feel bad so you started a makeup channel on youtube! And of course you were a sensation!
You and Kenma make little collab videos and were voted as the cutest couple of the year!
But that doesn't1 mean you aren't involved in Kuroos life just as much!
You help him get ready every morning, he just “can't” tie his tie even after doing it since highschool.
You make him a unique bento everyday!
You even buy him little chemistry sets whenever you see that a new model was released!
Plus living with two cuddle bugs is a dream for any girl ;)
Nsfw
The way that both of them are into cockwarming-
Whenever Kenma is not streaming he wants you to sit on his cock, just be a good kitten and do it.
No worries! Between rounds he'll start to pound you for as long as he can, but it's never enough  for you to cum :// too bad you'll just have to wait until he’s done, or when Kuroo some home.
With Kuroo it's usually when he is doing more work in his home office. This is pure torture.
He won’t even pay attention to you until HE wants to cum.
To add on to that neither of them are afraid of fucking you infront of people.
Kenma has no fear of keeping you at his feet while he streams so you can suck him off whenever he wants.
One time he was on a zoom call with his PR team and they had no idea you were deepthroating his cock under where the camera could see.
Kuroo is the worst with this too, he’ll start fucking you when he knows he ahs a work call in a few minutes, so in the middle of fucking he’ll just answer the phone and make you shut up :((
Both of them together? You’re fucked. (literally haha)
Kenma a bottom , 100%, just not as much as you.
Sex mostly means kuroo fucking you and sucking kenma off.
“I wonder if everyone would still follow you if they  knew what a slut you are”
“Kitten you have to be quiet for Daddy now, this call is important”
“Look at that kenma, she’s cumming all over the place while drooling all over you!”
Tumblr media
Bokuto Kotaro and Akaashi Keji
The owl nest?  Yes Ma’am.
You were akaashis girlfriend first, but that meant you were practically dating Bokuto anyway.
Akaashi? He loved it, you were just so cute when you tled to Kotaro!
When he got excited, you got excited and you were just the cutest two babies in the world!
The way you would talk for hours about nonsense and laugh about the stupidest things.
Slowly but surely Akaashi braugh Bokuto into the relationship, and you had no objections!
It started with small things like movie nights that turned into sleepovers that became full dates!
Dates? Oh man you go on one almost every night!
The movies! Bookstores! Restaurants!
Even to the volleyball gym.
Sometimes Akaashi takes you to Bokuto’s games and you two just Cheer your lungs out!
This seems crazy but one time on your anniversary that took you to an owl farm!
It was probably the funnest night of your life, and that was it all three of you knew that this was how you wanted to spend the rest of your lives.
Nsfw
Bokuto might be the driving force but Akaashi is the real mastermind behind the bedroom life.
Sex mostly includs being railed by Bokuto for hours while Akaashi whispers sweet praises in your ears, telling you how good your gtaking Bokuto.
Akaashi is also a firm believer in punishing people with toys, aka Bokuto getting ahead of himself and ignoring Akaashis commands which lands him tied up and a vibrator pressed to his sild until his orgass are dry :)
Of course you are no better, cumming before your told or vene worse masterbating without permission.
That lands you with a bunny vibrator, unable to move and just watching as Akasshi fucks Bokuto with your favorite dildo :(
But if you'd just listen this would have never happened, just promise not to do it again!
“Keji please, pease, wanna cum s-so bad”
“Gee, you're just sucking him in huh? After all this time you still want more!”
“You are just the prettiest little thing huh.”

Tumblr media
↷ SUMMARY ↶
You began to question if your existence is worth for the team or not.
“Ah, Hitoka-chan, [Name]-chan. Are you done changing?” Shimizu asked, smiling down at both of you who waited on the yard.
The sky was already dark the moment practice was over–something you knew you have to get used somehow if you really want to become the team’s manager in the future. However, what you didn’t expect was how time was surely running quickly that you could ever imagine. Maybe because you thoroughly enjoyed on how the team fired up during practice.
Yachi clearly didn’t expect her name to be mentioned so friendly and you didn’t expect Shimizu to called out for you too. That and her next words almost had you yelped out of surprise. “I’ll walk with you two, so hold on a sec. I’m going to change too.”
“No, it’s okay! I actually think I should be walking with you, or something, or…!”
“Don’t worry about it.” Dismissing the blonde’s reluctance, Shimizu jogged towards the changing room and leaving the two of you alone once again. Well, at least Yachi had any decency to reply while you just gaped at the senior’s figure–you found yourself being extremely rude and embarrassing.
“S-Shimizu-senpai is really nice, huh?” you stuttered, not knowing how to make it sound right. But you’re honest with your words–Shimizu treated you nicely and you didn’t once feel uncomfortable around her.
“Y-yeah,” Yachi replied, nodding stiffly.
“What’s wrong, sensei? Why the serious face?” Another voice managed to caught both of your attention. It came from the still lit gym–you noticed that it was Coach Ukai’s and the question directed to Takeda-sensei. Them being quite close with the open-window made their conversation could be heard clearly.
“Oh, well, apparently the bus we were supposed to take for the away games in Tokyo was booked by another club so it doesn’t look like we’ll get it. It looks like it’s going to cost us a lot more than expected so I was trying to figure out what to do.”
“I’ll try talking to a few more alumni.” Coach Ukai hummed in understanding. “I’m sure this problem will come up again in the future.”
“I apologize. I’ll try reaching out as well. Well, if all else fails, I do have some savings.”
“No, no, no! You need to save that for your future wedding or something. And don’t do that with your hand!”
“Yachi-san! [Name]-san!!” while Yachi stiffened from the energetic call, you blinked as Hinata skidded to stop right in front of you two. “Yachi-san, [Name]-san, are you going to be our manager!?”
“Uh, um-“
“Well, Hinata-kun-“
“You will, right!?”
“Hey, first-year girls, hey!” this time it was Tanaka and Nishinoya, looking at Yachi and you in confidence.
“We hope that you will join the Karasuno High School volleyball team.” Nishinoya said.
“Huh?” you and Yachi replied in confusion, with limited vocabulary.
“When you two are around, Kiyoko-san talks a lot.” Tanaka continued. It earned them both a smack on the head along with scolding from the team’s captain almost instantly.
“What kind of invitation is that, you idiots!?”
“Sorry these guys are so stupid,” Sugawara apologized in a more relaxed way–you’re guessing he’s already used with these two’s antics.
“N-No, not at all!” Yachi shook her head frantically.
“It’s okay…” you muttered, not sure how to reply that without sounding rude.
Yachi and you both knew it’s quite a shock to know Shimizu was so eager to have you in the team to help despite almost everything. For Yachi, she didn’t have any experience or knowledge about volleyball and considered herself an extra who’s not worth of her position. She didn’t want to be a hindrance and you understood.
You? You didn’t particularly have any reason to not join and to join. You sure have enough experience from middle school, although it was brief. Your brother loves volleyball so everything about it is already crammed inside your head without your consent. As a manager, you could rate your skill as 5–nothing too grand and nothing too special, too plain maybe could be the right word.
For a really high-spirited team which eager to grow, you’re too… plain. There’s no place for a monotone person like you in a club full of color.
With that, you began to question if your existence is worth for the team or not.
.
.
“Is something troubling you two?”
If Yachi’s staring at the empty club application in her hands, then you’re staring at the empty changing locker. Surely, Shimizu noticed your antics.
“By the way, I did play sports, but I had no prior experience with volleyball or being a manager,” your senior admitted. “I don’t think everyone has to like something before giving it a try. I don’t think you need an unwavering will or lofty move just to get started. Sometimes things that you start on a whim end up becoming very important to you, too. To get started, I think you just need a little bit of curiosity. And also a leap of faith.”
A leap of faith.
You found yourself mulling over her words.
.
.
This time, Shimizu told you that it’s fine to showed up at practice without having to wear the school’s gym clothes–just white shirt to match the team and jogger pants would do.
“Ouginishi will arrive in four and a half hours!” Shimizu announced as she began to changed to her indoor shoes. Once she got the series of replies, she turned to you two. “Alright, Hitoka-chan, would you line up some chairs around the court there? Let’s see… eight of them!”
“Uh, right!”
“And [Name]-chan, could you prepare the water bottles? The drinking fountain’s not far from here, just around the corner.”
“Okay, and the protein mixture is right over there, right? The blue box-“ You halted your words, shoulders immediately tensed from the automatic question which tumbled from your tongue. Shimizu’s eyes widened before she smiled, even wider one than before.
“That’s right! You really know a lot, it’s amazing!”
Flustered over her praises, you excused yourself immediately–snatching the rack of bottles and bolted towards the nearest drinking fountain. After finished filling them up, you poured each packet for each bottle and shook it to get it mixed properly. You didn’t even notice how fast your hand was moving and noticing that all the bottles were ready.
Once you were back, you put the rack on the designated place and jogged towards Yachi–maybe she would need help moving the chairs.
“Wha? How would I know?” Kageyama questioned, raising a brow–probably answering the conversation happened between him and Hinata which you didnt know. “Is there a reason you want to eat when you’re hungry?”
“Right? Hmm…” Hinata hummed.
“And where are the water bottles?” Kageyama questioned, looking left and right.
“Here,” You gave one to him, the one you purposely not mix with anything. “I already filled it with water. You have your own protein drink, right?”
You noticed that the raven-haired boy already pulled a package with different color so you knew he had his own choice of protein drink and brought it. Kageyama muttered a thank you, taking the bottle from your hand after you opened the lid so he didn’t have to juggle with the package he held.
“How do you know about that, [Name]-san!?” Hinata questioned, eyes shining. “It’s almost like you’re reading minds!”
“H-Huh? I’m just observing, I guess…”
“Really!? That’s awesome!!”
Yachi was right, it’s like being shone under the intensely bright sun if you’re talking to Hinata.
.
.
You were juggling between manager duties, studying in your own, and tutoring Hinata and Kageyama for the upcoming test. It’s quite difficult, but teaching others also helped you memorized the material better–that and also finding out terms that could help the two.
“So, ‘to’ is helping in referring on where do you want to go in this word here.” You explained, circling the word. “For example, ‘I want to go to the gym’.”
After tutoring both Hinata and Kageyama for some time, you learned that the two would literally remember anything if it’s sports-related–especially volley ball. So, it became your best shot in cramming the materials into their head.
“I see!” Hinata exclaimed, furiously writing down the correct form of sentence, while Kageyama nodded enthusiastically.
“Oh, it’s already this late,” you muttered as you looked at the clock. “Time sure flew by.”
“You’re right!” Hinata followed your line of sight. “I guess it’s time to go home! Thank you, [Name]-san! Your explanation is really easy to understand!”
“I’m glad I could be of any help,” you smiled in return.
“And after this, we’ll go to Tokyo together!” the orange haired boy exclaimed. “You’re coming too, right, [Name]-san!?”
“Uhm, about that…” You honestly didn’t know how to respond–you couldn’t be a trial manager forever, it’s either completely reject the idea or finally joining as an official member. If you did join, do you even have a role in it? There’s Shimizu and Yachi already, there’s no need for a third manager. “There’s already Hitoka-chan and Shimizu-senpai, right?”
“Yeah! You should join too!”
“Do I really have a place there?” you questioned out loud. “I mean… do I can really be of any help? Two managers are already enough, besides I don’t have anything to offer to the team either. I can’t do anything important to help the team grow stronger…”
“What do you mean!?” Hinata’s shriek almost made your heart jump out from your chest.
“Filling water bottles, washing bibs, mopping the floor, tidying the balls, it’s all important.” Surprisingly, Kageyama was the one who spoke. “It’s simple but important. Without it, we will have double work and it’s exhausting.”
Hinata nodded vigorously. “Kageyama’s right!”
“Do you really need to do something grand to join something?” the raven-haired then questioned. “While you think it’s nothing, the others don’t think so. The one who judge whether your actions leave a mark or not isn’t you, it’s the team. So, quit overthinking. Do what you want.”
It’s like being doused with cold water–it slapped you awake in an unexpected way.
“I guess I will,” you smiled, heart feeling lighter than before. “Thank you, Kageyama-kun, Hinata-kun.”
.
.
“So, we’ve finished our exams and starting today, Yachi-san and Otohaku-san will officially be joining us as our managers.”
In the hot summer day, you found yourself back in the gym, but this time standing beside Sawamura and a fidgeting Yachi. She didn’t seem to be uncomfortable, maybe it’s a new feeling of excitement for her–you completely understand because you felt the same.
“Here,” Shimizu went up to the both of you–handing identical black jersey which the team also owned. The inky black material with white broderie sent torrents of emotions towards you, instantly the corner of your eyes felt as if it was burning.
“Ready, and-“
“Welcome to Karasuno High School Volleyball Club!!”
You found yourself bowing ninety-degrees, hugging the jacket tightly against your chest. “It’s a pleasure working with you!”

How about being the manager of Inarizaki, Nekoma, Seijoh and Shiratorizawa and how the boys would feel when they finally finally get a manager? :0
New Manager
⤷Includes: Nekoma, Inarizaki, Seijoh, Shiratorizawa
A/n: I haven't written for the HQ boys in a hot minute so I was sUper hyped for this! Thank you for the request, dear 💕
----------------------------------------------------------
Nekoma
Nekoma has been manager-less for so long that literally the entire team was dumbfounded when they spotted you chilling next to Nekomata
Like hello??? Who are you and what are you doing in their gym???
There's a good few seconds of silence when Nekomata introduces you
Despite being cats, they greatly resembled their Fukurodani rivals as they blinked back at you with big curious eyes
That is until Yamamoto slumps to his knees and starts tearing up, blabbering on about how they've been blessed with a manager while a quiet Fukunaga pats his back in an almost humouring manner
Yamamoto's out burst is what loosens up the team and they start making their way to introduce themselves to you
The first is Kuroo, who approaches you with a welcoming smirk which was quickly followed by a gentle smile from Kai and a reassuring pat on the back from Yaku
The first years are VERY eager to meet you! Lev and Inouka are bouncing around you spewing out questions to the point where Yaku has to kick them both and send them off to warm up
Sweet Shibayama very nervously bows at you and thanks you for taking care of the team (what a baby 🤧💕)
The entire team absolutely loves you by the end of your first day (yes even the aloof creature that is Kenma, though he'll never admit it)
Nekoma's inner team dynamic is very familial and you're immediately sucked into the little family vibes they got going on
The first years love to be around you! (Specifically Lev bc you're not as mean to him as everyone else)
The first years are always volunteering to help you carry equipment or water bottles
You once caught one of the jokes Fukunaga muttered during practice so now the two of you bounce little puns and jokes off of eachother to see who can get the other to laugh first (he is currently winning. although, you got him to tear up from laughing so hard once which you've been counting as 10 wins)
The third years tend to mother hen you a bit, specifically Yaku and Kuroo
Kuroo made it very clear to you that you're apart of the team even if you don't play on the court, so as captain it's his job to make sure all his players are ok (mentally, physically, socially, you name it! He's always looking out for you and is basically your big brother)
You and Yaku bond over the fact that you're both the unofficial team moms. The two of you are very organized and have a whole ass check list that you BOTH go over at least twice before the team leaves for a game or training camp
Kai is like your calm in the storm that is Nekoma. The two of you have had numerous conversations about anything from books to cafés and he's always willing to lend an ear if you need to rant
Kenma is a fairly distant person but he warms up to you when he notices how caring you are. He even let's you play his DS on the train rides to and from Nekoma
Inarizaki
You're a brave soul if you are willingly becoming the manager of Inarizaki
Kita is actually the one who asked if you wanted to be the teams manager
He saw you cleaning the board in a classroom during lunch break and was impressed by how well of a job you did
It doesn't matter if you said yes out of fear from Kita's blank stare or because you were genuinely interested bc now you're standing in the volleyball gym, clad in Inarizaki's signature maroon tracksuit
The team notices you instantly, particularly a certain blonde Miya
Before Kita even got a chance to introduce you to everyone, Atsumu had wandered over to you with a lazy smile tugging at his lips
Atsumu introduced himself and then started asking what you were doing here
"Are ya lost?" "Ya here to admire me?" "Ya dating one of the players?"
You didn't get a chance to answer his questions as Osamu lovingly threw a Volleyball at Atsumu, cutting off any moment you had to respond
The only problem was that Atsumu noticed the volleyball rOcketing towards him and scrambled out of the way like a startled cat, leaving the ball to hit you instead of its intended target
The silence that hung over the gym was deafening as the younger team members watched Kita and Aran rush over to assist your now bloody nose
Just as quick as it had started, the silence was broken by Atsumu yelling at his brother for hitting a helpless person in the face and the gym quickly descended into madness
Aran held a towel to your nose and gave you a few encouraging pats on the back as the both of you watched Kita chew out the twins (safe to say Kita was hard on them during practice)
Osamu approached you during a water break to apologize and, to the surprise of the entire team, gave you the extra pudding he had as a peace offering
Since that incident Osamu and Atsumu stopped throwing volleyballs at each other's heads (at least when you were around that is)
The team is also surprisingly protective of you
The glares people get at tournaments if they try to flirt with you are terrifying
You become pretty close with Suna as the both of you tend to sit back and watch Atsumu and Osamu fight (you tried to step in once but they literally only respond to Kita so it didn't do much)
Suna also pats you on the head whenever he passes you
(it's something he does to his little sister to show some form of affection/appreciation and now he does it to you for the very same reasons)
This goes with out saying, but the twins love you
Osamu still feels bad about the whole hitting you in the face thing so he always shares any snacks he's got on him with you
Atsumu truly just likes being babied by you
Any ounce of praise or happy smiles directed at him has him acting like a puppy
(does 'Tsumu have a tiny crush on you? Yep he totally does!)
Kita and Aran are absolute sweethearts!! They are both very grateful for all the work you put in and treat you to boba every other week as a thank you :))
Seijoh
It was a new school year and you decided to push yourself out of your comfort zone a bit
What better way to do that then be a manager for a sports team!
Apparently one of your classmates let it slip that you were looking to be a manager for a sports team because you were approached by a very buff and very attractive guy a few days after asking if you'd be interested in helping the volleyball team
You happily agreed to do a trial day that afternoon, to which the player, who you now know as Iwaizumi-san, breathed a sigh of relief and said he'd pick you up after school to take you to the gym
So the school day is over, Iwaizumi meets you outside your classroom and you're off!
As you walk to the gym he fills you in on some of the tasks the manager would have to do
The job didn't sound that terrible so you were a bit confused as to why Iwaizumi was having such a hard time finding a manager
"Let's just say that the applicants were more interested in staring at our captain than the actual job." He had told you
Ok so first unofficial rule....don't stare at the Seijoh volleyball team's captain? A bit odd but who were you to judge, maybe the guy was shy and didn't like attention
Your thoughts were cut off by the crisp slap! Of a ball hitting the floor followed by a few short yells from the players littered across the court
Your attention was then caught by the sensation of someone draping their arm over your shoulders and a tangy apple smell invading your senses
"Oh? I didn't know you were dating someone, Iwa-chan~"
Iwaizumi shoved the brunette off of you and quickly explained that you were just here to test out being the manager for the day
The player's eyes lit up and he turned to you with a bubbly smile, introducing himself as Seijoh's captain, Oikawa Tooru
Ah, Captain.... Now you knew why they were having trouble finding someone who didn't stare
Your first day went fairly smooth, just a few blunders that were quickly forgotten by the team after Oikawa cheerfully told you: "Everyone has to start somewhere, (y/n)-chan!"
After the first week you had to admit that the Aoba Johsai volleyball team were quickly becoming some of your best friends, you all fit together like a dysfunctional family
Makki, Mattsun, and Iwa would always agree/praise you when you joined in one the daily Oikawa roast session
Oikawa (when he wasn't pouting about how "mean" you are to him) was fairly sweet to you
He spent the first month helping you learn the rules about volleyball and explaining the lingo the team often used during plays
Although, he does jokingly flirt with you about 40 thousand times a week so...
Kindaichi is a nervous wreak around you the first few weeks. Eventually his nervous demeanor melts away. Now he goes to you whenever he needs someone to toss the ball up for him so he can practice his spikes
Kunimi likes you simply because you let him get away with napping during water breaks
Kyotani acts like you annoy him but if anyone made you cry or hurt you in some way he would burn the entire gym down in a heartbeat
Did I mention that Seijoh are also very protective of you?
When at tournaments they travel in a small pack with you in the middle to reduce the chances of you getting hit on
Shiratorizawa
Shiratorizawa is a very nice and prestigious school so you thought why not participate in an extracurricular that would be beneficial for, not only your resume, but you yourself as well!
Out of all the clubs you chose volleyball which you're starting to regret a bit since one of your friends informed you that the team is a powerhouse school
Which means you can't make a bad impression or silly mistakes.....at all
That entire philosophy is thrown oUt the window on your second day as the official manager
You somehow managed to trip over your own feet and slam into a cart full of spare balls AND spill the water bottles you were carrying all over yourself
You were hoping that the team, by some miraculous reason, didn't notice but the stifled giggles from a certain red head said otherwise
You would give anything for the ground to just swallow you up and disappear forever
But then you saw a pair of gym shoes standing in front of you and when you looked up you were met with THE Ushijima Wakatoshi, captain and ace of shiratorizawa, offering you help to stand up
You hadn't seen Ushijima be more than a stoic and intimidating guy so you were even more surprised when he gave one of his spare shirts to change into now that you had spilt water on yourself
I guess you could say your little clumsy episode was what broke the ice for you and the team
Tendou loves talking with you
You're an interesting person to him and he finds great pleasure in teasing you (in his own words it's "out of love")
Ushijima ended up not being as intimidating as you originally pegged him to be. Instead, he was just a quiet guy who surprisingly could say some pretty funny things (whether or not he intended it to be funny)
Goshiki just loves you. Period.
You praise him and give him head pats so he couldn't be happier!
Tendou and Shirabu tease him all the time about how he has a case of puppy love for you (which Goshiki aggRessively denies no matter how red his face is)
Semi is someone who is grateful for your assistance with the team and does his very best to get Tendou out of your hair when you're trying to do your manager work. He also shares his headphones with you on long bus rides so you can listen to music together!
