no let’s talk about cScott’s strategy in the life series being the social game. Let’s talk about how he’ll just kinda play nice with everyone and get to very high placements as a result. Do you wonder if his past allies feel used by him? If they feel like they’re just part of the strategy of his own game? Did you realize how rarely Scott has recurring alliances? Do you think they wonder about if they were just someone Scott could get to a higher result to feel good about? Or someone that could get him the win? Or are you normal

all I’m saying is usually we go on lengthy talks about Scott being nice and sweet and wholesome but this guy (character) is good at the murder game! Really worryingly good! Let’s delve into that some more!

i’m still thinking about this sorry but the idea that the wol’s actions are the same as the garlean army’s actions just really rubs me the wrong way. like i dont think its actually a nuanced position to suggest that theres no difference between resisting imperial violence and committing it. the reason the garlemald section stands out to me is not because well it’s okay, the garleans thought what they were doing was right and we committed violence against them too so who’s to say who is right or wrong. it’s that they are demonstrably in the wrong and we help them anyway. because we can, because they need it.

introducing my pop disaster, Marnie Williams Daydream! she's upbeat and cheery on stage but a nervous wreck behind the scenes, pining after her manager and wishing things could go back to how they used to be with her ex-best-friend... oh honey, you've got a big storm coming.

this was meant to just be a quick sketch to unwind so I started out using a base by @/albanenechi but then decided I wanted to change what the arms and feetsies were doing :3 then I realised that the sketch was actually pretty good already so I cleaned it up and went straight to colouring. I love skipping the lineart stage so much.

Felice & Triste are now Maevell & Junis! (Mae & Juni for short)

This is a huge deal for me as these characters have been very dear to me, but also tied to some trauma and a terrible person from my past. I even debated on scraping them altogether

However my love for them caused me to hang on and I'm so glad I did!

Renaming them has felt weird, but after testing it out for a little while now I feel pretty confident about it! 🙌🏻

Now to actually finalize their designs 😅😂 they are a race that are inspired by rabbits and beetles, but there's so many cool beetles in our world its so hard to choose one to use 😭
