no let’s talk about cScott’s strategy in the life series being the social game. Let’s talk about how he’ll just kinda play nice with everyone and get to very high placements as a result. Do you wonder if his past allies feel used by him? If they feel like they’re just part of the strategy of his own game? Did you realize how rarely Scott has recurring alliances? Do you think they wonder about if they were just someone Scott could get to a higher result to feel good about? Or someone that could get him the win? Or are you normal
all I’m saying is usually we go on lengthy talks about Scott being nice and sweet and wholesome but this guy (character) is good at the murder game! Really worryingly good! Let’s delve into that some more!
#this is all c! btw to clarify. AND BEFORE YOU SAY CLEO READ THE TAGS#but I think that Pearl and martyn and Jimmy are on the same page of like. Man I did love you. And all you do is win. Was it ever real?#Different flavors ofc#But it’s similar in the sense that Martyn betrayed him and Scott just didn’t really care. Moved on to the next game kept playing.#Pearl and Scott were such a duo in last life and that didn’t matter!#Scott and Cleo have a recurring alliance and guess what. The roomies were taken out first ANYWAYS!#Do you guys remember how Jimmy and Scott were married? It’s all dead and gone now though right?#And I’m not saying Scott IS just using his alliances or that he didn’t really care all that much. Just that there’s some gray area in there#up for interpretation#Before you come at me with the Gem thing I raise you the “Scott is playing his own game”#He’s already won and he’s trying to get his allies to win. But his allies are never recurrent. So is it out of pride? Or genuine love?#I bet they wonder#And I think we should too#scott smajor#smajor1995#last life#double life#secret life#slsmp#traffic smp#life series#third life#limited life#coral kids#zombiecleo#pearlescentmoon#jimmy solidarity#solidaritygaming#flower husbands

here’s my prediction on how the alliances will turn out from best to worst:
gem and joel: i actually think they’ll be loyal!! i don’t think either of them have strong reason to disagree or stray (YET). honestly i think other than ggg + impulse they’re my best bet for winners
bam!: they’ll stay loyal until the end. granted, they’re not going to win (im sorry truthers and yes i know that scar is v capable but this alliance? i don’t have hope im sorry bahaha)
bigb: bigb. i don’t think he’ll be completely alone the whole time though. i don’t think he’ll team up with lizzie, jimmy, scar but i have a feeling that late game he’s gonna be an agent of a bigger team, and might probably still be betrayed by that team
martyn and ren: honestly couldn’t tell you. im kinda predicting something messy, where martyn actually goes through and betrays, but im also anticipating a repeat of third life, where he doesn’t, or doesn’t get the chance to. or, who knows, they might just be loyal
sub-one club: oh these guys ain’t gonna last. i just don’t see this being an endgame alliance, i think their paranoia might become real and rip them apart. mumbo and skizz might stick together, though
etho, bdubs, and tango: one) ethubs reunion. uh oh. 2) this is just team BEST without skizz and i am SO SO worried. you guys remember last life, you guys remember session 6 in particular, only this time their mediator skizz isn’t there. UH OH. it could work out fine and they just ignore it but it SCARES me. VERY worried about tango here
cleo, scott, pearl, and impulse: they are going to have a messy breakup, they are not surviving. clearly ggg have differing feelings on double life and are NOT on the same page or remotely made up, and also cleo and impulse aren’t made up so it’s not like he can play mediator, this is going to end disastrously. i think they might split off into cleo + scott and pearl + impulse or just dissolve entirely. a VERY capable team though
#types types#v curious to see how this will turn out!!#wild life#wild life spoilers#life series spoilers

Life series alliances and enemies I want to see!
(BIG DISCLAIMER: All of the people in the life series are friends and will choose what happens in an improvised series, me wanting two people to be rivals like Renchanting vs The sand hippies doesn’t mean I want them to hate each other in real life, this is a for fun post as season 6 is coming very soon)
Alliances:
Grian and BigB: They have gotten close a few times but never a long series alliance. I really love their friendship and I want to see them team together more than one episode.
Mumbo and Scar: I loved how they were in early episodes of secret life, a long series alliance would be so cool, especially if Mumbo last longer.
Scott and Tango: We’ve only seen bits and pieces of these two but I think it would be interesting. Some people have been rude about these two teaming so there’s a bit of spite in there too. I just think it would be cool to see.
Cleo and Jimmy: Even less interactions. Why these two? I don’t know, I think they would make a great alliance. Probably best work with a third person so I shall suggest Pearl or Bdubs here.
Ren and Scott: I am not over third and last life with these two. I don’t want them as enemies or fighting to the death, I want to see Ren and Scott be allies. Be bros. I want to see theatre kid Ren with Scott okay?
Lizzie and Etho: Sorry Joel, your wife is teaming with your ex-soulmate.
Joel and Pearl: Please please please please please- I just think they would be neat :3
Scott and Joel: While I really want Joel to take Scott’s final life, I would 100% down with these two teaming. What a great alliance it would be to be with the guy you tried to kill multiple times! In other words, I think it would be funny for me. That’s the most important thing.
Any combination of Skizz, Mumbo and Lizzie: Our guys that weren’t in double life, I need these three to interact more okay?
Martyn and Grian: I know someone asked Martyn to make a one side homoerotic relationship with Grian next season but I would be so down for a team up. Yeah yeah they were in Southlands together but I want just them as a duo.
Ren and Martyn: “hey didn’t they already team?” Yes and? I have been waiting for so long for these two to talk again and Ren might not be in this season again. I don’t have any evidence to say he won’t but I’m not getting my hopes up again.
Lizzie and Pearl: We got a taste of these two in secret life and I think they would have a solid alliance. Plus red life with these two? Two wet cats with a taste for blood? Sign me the fuck up.
Enemies:
Pearl and Gem: “uwu wouldn’t it be so cool if they were together and pearl helped gem win?” Fuck no. I want blood. I want them at each other’s throat. I want Pearl to actively take Gem’s final life. You had murder camel, let me see these two fight to the death okay? Fuck an alliance I want murder and death.
Martyn and Tango: Watchful eyes would see that over the seasons Martyn and Tango have a sort of rivalry or at the very least Tango is bullied/teased by Martyn. Rarely have they been on the same page. Therefore, I want them to be official enemies.
Tango and Skizz: I don’t want them to be actual rivals, it just would be nice for Skizz and Tango to branch out from each other as they have teamed in every season besides third and double life. Being rivals is a treat.
Impulse and Skizz: Same as above but more because they are best friends, I would love to see them tease each other lol.
Pearl and BigB: I don’t think this would happen but it would be something new. Especially how Pearl wanted BigB to win limited life when they were the nosey neighbours.
Scott and Joel: Pretty please take Scott’s final life I love the guy but I need Joel to do it please please please-
Ren and Martyn: Yes I want them to be alliances again but enemies? Oh? Oh ho? We had a taste of this with last life’s final four battle royal and Martyn confirming that he was always going to betray Ren. I need to see that.
Bdubs and Etho: Purely for the angst <3
Mumbo and Grian: I love these two so much but proper rivals would go so hard. Bonus if Scar is teamed with one of them lmao.
Impulse and Bdubs: It won’t be brought up but I think the clock grudge lasting all the way to season 6 would be funny as hell.
Bdubs and Joel: Short.
Cleo and literally anyone: She is very scary as an enemy not in a “Cleo would beat your ass” she couldn’t, but in a “they will hurt you with words”
Anyway who do you want as allies or enemies in season 6?

and what if i was thinking about my werewolf jimmy + vampire tango au more?? what if i was thinking about OTHER characters? this is spinning around in my head so i'm gonna dump it here,, dshjshjk
it's mentioned one-off in the fic, but tango knows the only werewolves in the city live ACROSS THE CITY from him meaning that jimmy was literally trekking across the entire damn city to go see tango and walk him home from work ;-; they're both so dumb hsjhsjkdk
Joe is one of Tango's co-workers at the cafe where he works. no-one knows what's up with him, but when he starts telling a story you have to sit and listen to him finish it. you can't leave until he's stopped talking. those that are aware of the supernatural know that he's not some kind of siren, but they still don't know what he is. they've got a discussion going on in the "supernatural circles" they've got going on. Joe finds this endlessly hilarious.
There's several other vampires in the city, all of which try to keep out of each other's way. Tango and Mumbo are two of these vampires (the others are undecided/background characters). HOWEVER! they do meet up once a month at Tango's place of work (mainly because he's always working a shift when they want to meet) to discuss what areas to avoid because someone's gone and bitten a few too many people there recently and the locals are setting up Facebook pages to try and figure out what's happening
Scott and Lizzie are both sirens. Scott is a swim teacher, and parents bring children that have difficulty with fear of water/swimming to where he works because he just seems "magical" with how he's teaching their kids to swim (he's enchanting them. he's enchanting them into enjoying swimming)
Grian, Joel and Jimmy are the only pack of wolves in their city, and they all call each other "brothers" despite not actually being related because they all got turned around the same time and were friends in school together. (they all got bitten together because they were all being IDIOTS together)
Pearl lives in the next city over and is also a werewolf, but is more of a lone wolf than the others. She lives with her dog Tilly, and that's her "pack"
There's an actual werewolf pack in this other city, which is home to Ren, Martyn and Bdubs. Etho is also technically part of this group, but he's also a "were-fox" (idk even know if those exist it just seems fun to me) and goes between the two cities because he has friends in both
just ouagghh, cannot write for this at the moment because i've got exams but i am THINKING about this, spinning it in my brain like it's a microwave, come talk to me about it please hdsjhdsjksjk ;-;
#the series name idea i have for this is so silly too#it'll just be the werewolf jimmy au for now#but the actual name is:#i bet you howl at the moon don't you?#idk why. i just find it funny#jimmy solidarity#tangotek#solidaritek#trafficshipping#is this gonna have other ships too? probably but they wont be the forefront#current thouts are treebark and ethubs. bc those have been tickling my brain recently

so is it safe to assume that you're going to be going through each of the seasons chronologically then? and exploring how each of their relationships form and change over time? or are you going to pick a set point that is the "current" times and make references back to older series and stunts?
also out of curiousity, whos pov(s) do you watch? im always interested in learning this stuff
also also i think seer of void is perfect for Sc(h)ott and i think heir of rage works really well for Joel. im trying so hard to think of any other classes that would work for him and im just... coming up short. maybe page? because i can see him inciting rage in others and growing stronger as time passes with it. but i dunno. youve thrown me back into my homestuck phase that i thought i had gotten out of years ago and thus have forgotten too much :')
So that’s a bit of tricky question. The campaigns happen in the chronological order of the seasons, but I honestly haven’t settled on what is ‘now.’ Tbh, I’m kinda treating this AU as a playground for all my crossover relevant headcanons & plot bunnies. I’m not planning on making one cohesive fic for this AU. My hope is to do an assortment of art, comics, & fics (& maybe animations?; gods I’d love to do mini animations/“flashes” for this & would like to try to, if I can get my brain to sit still long enough). Each piece will be a different chunk of the story, a significant event or plot line that I feel like examining, rather than there being a linear story. Kinda like a selection of vignettes rather than a novel.
Granted, I’m not married to this idea yet. It’d be a nice way to do things in that it’d allow me to follow my inspirations rather than be stuck in a timeline. But at the same time, I’m not sure how that’ll read/look. I might just start at Secret Life or after Secret Life & do everything else as flashbacks. But it’ll definitely be around the Secret Life time if I do decide to do some linearity because Gem is bae & I desperately need her at least somewhat prominent. (& she joins up with the others between sometime before Limited Life & before Secret Life. Haven’t nailed that quite down either, but she wasn’t part of the group from the get go, like the others. (Everyone was somehow linked to each other from before/around the 3rd Life campaign, even if they didn’t join the VLARP until Last Life.))
Tbh, I haven’t comprehensively watched most of the Traffic seasons. I started watching mcyt when Limited Life was happening, but couldn’t maintain focus at the time. (Probably because I was watching Grian’s viewpoint of EVERY SINGLE SEASON AT THE SAME TIME, dear god what is wrong with me lol.) So until recently, I’d only seen the first half of all of Grian’s seasons. I finally finished his 3rd Life the other day (in one sitting mind you; wild experience) as well as Martyn’s 3rd Life.
When Secret Life rolled around, I was more invested & wound up watching Grian, Mumbo, Gem, Joel, Scar, Lizzie, Martyn, Jimmy, & some of Etho & Cleo.
Right now I’ve got Jimmy & Tango’s 3rd Life, Joel’s Last Life, & Etho’s Double Life going on a rotation. I think that’s all I’m currently watching? I’m kinda crawling through those as I’ve got an absolutely massive list of Hermits I’m watching at the moment. Other POVs I’ve got earmarked for watching at some point: Impulse 3L, Lizzie, Martyn, & Pearl LL, Joel, BigB, & Pearl DL, & I haven’t even started figuring out who I’m gonna watch for LimL.
I’m so flattered this AU is getting you back to Homestuck! You know, I hadn’t seriously thought about it in… six? seven? years, until I had the thought that Scar & Grian made sense as fucked up moirails & I suddenly had an AU to be fascinated by lol. Like. I haven’t even been observing the high holidays for a few years, & now I’m doing in depth research on Lore so I can work on this AU. Funny how life works that way, a new special interest resurrecting an old one.

wow look at that. one like that is Definitely not my main. I guess i must show the masses Listener/Canary Jimmy & Watcher Grian being the only ones who can remember their past lives under the cut ig?
The first time it happens, Jimmy is completely unprepared. Third life, Grian calls it, a smirk on his face and a twinkle of something in his eyes. An experimental game, just to see where it goes-- it goes downhill, fast, fire and gunpowder and longing suffocating Jimmy’s senses.
Clutching poppies in his fist as he accepts that he’d rather go down with the ship than hurt anyone else. Swallowing bloodlust and bile and making sure that the arrow goes straight through his skull before he’s able to pull the doomsday lever.
He hears Scott cry out, hears Scott sob over his grave. Scott was the only one who noticed the wings that’d burst through his back when he’d died, sandy yellow and stained with blood.
And Jimmy listens to the sounds of battle as Scott goes down after him-- they reunite, briefly, before it is all ripped away once more.
It’s far from the first time Jimmy’s died, though. His soul is reborn into the body of some half-grown fish god, and he assumes the role accordingly. Ignores the way the voices in his head scream for revenge and death, ignores the way Scott of Rivendell’s voice is the same as his.
Builds a kingdom and rebuilds himself, makes new allies and old ones. Swallowing down his hurt at the way no one seems to remember him. He distances himself from Scott, from Joel and holds back dread when Grian shows up. Grian looks him in the eyes, looks at the Codboy hat that the voices had given him, and continues as normal. It’s then that Jimmy understands. Grian knows, too. Knows his time is limited, knows about the itching that’s turned to angry scabs on his back. Cracking bones in the morning. It doesn’t stop Jimmy from trying, though. Jimmy hears about Grian’s world being destroyed on the grapevine and does his best to repent, to the Watchers or the Listeners or whoever’s paying attention. He does his best to show how good he is, makes peace with Fwhip and salmon and the world’s ending again. Jimmy doesn’t stay. He can’t bare to watch them all die again, so he leaves, freshly bursted back and bloody wings trailing behind him.
He wanders, for a while. His feet walk until his shoes are worn to dust and the world is invariably changed, and another life game begins. Jimmy knows he’ll be the first to go, the mark of the end. It takes more than being an idiot to not put two and two together, with the way Grian’s gaze upon him feels like mirth and pity alike. He steals Martyn’s life. A bit of a page out of Grian’s book, if he’s being honest-- he just doesn’t want to die again so soon. He wants Martyn to stay with him, wants what they had in Evo back, wants to prolong the inevitable. He’s not ready to be forgotten again.
Grian does him in, which-- he’s not sure what he’s expected. Grian’s like a trapped cat in a small room, like a bird in a cage ripping open the bars. His wings are too wet to catch him when he falls, and the end begins again. Jimmy tries to talk to Martyn from beyond, but it only drives him mad. He only manages to get across one message, a warning about Grian. It doesn’t help. It never helps, and Jimmy listens to the roar of the void as everyone forgets him, leaving him once more. His fist collides with the ground and his enchanted (cursed) spikes drain the life out of the grass. This world is kinder, more like X Life. He isn’t the first to go, and people remember him for a time. It ends without fanfare, and so many people leave him again. (He refuses to think about how Sausage remembered Pearl, but not him.) For the first time, Jimmy is remembered. Joel and Grian taunt him, and this-- this is the Joel from Last Life, this is the same Grian as always. And, to his surprise, when Jimmy’s wings sprout from his back, Grian’s the one who dies. He doesn’t seem shocked, only nods and picks up his stuff. He tilts his head and Grian whispers later and they head home. Joel’s gone and Jimmy and Grian are in his old base when he finally, finally gets an explanation. “You may be wondering,” Grian starts, “Why I keep inviting you.” “Because I’m a warning call? That’s what the--” Jimmy pauses, looks away from Grian’s stare, “That’s what the Li-- the voices keep saying.” “Nope! Good guess though. It’s quite the opposite.” He feels the stare drop. “You make sure we can come back.” Jimmy takes a sharp breath and stares at the ceiling, his wings for once clean and tidy. The glass house is perfectly still, and through the panes Jimmy can see the outside and hear every cricket and monster. He knows what they say about glass houses. “I’d rather not come back.” Jimmy finally admits, “Not when they forget me. Not when they move on without a second thought. Not when I’m the only one.” “I remember.” Grian says, voice quiet and as still as stone. Something’s different, in Grian’s next game. Jimmy dies first, sure, but not really. Tango does, and there’s someone there with him, and he’s loyal. They build together, burn together, Jimmy might even call it love if he was feeling bold. Grian winks from behind his last horn and waves, a red string tied from his pinky to Scar’s. Jimmy dies in Grian and Scar’s last stand, again. He finds that he doesn’t mind, though-- he gets up after and his mind is filled with the aftermath of the fall of Dogwarts. Maybe it isn’t so bad to be the first one gone, he thinks, cupping his ears over the screams of an enderman. Grian makes him and Tango each a grave. There’s a ceremony, too, and Jimmy’s heart melts from his place as a ghost. Tango’s nowhere to be found, but he can still feel the gentle tug of the string on his hand. He isn’t worried. And then he wakes up back in Empires, in the body of a small clay doll in the clothes of a cowboy. Jimmy hikes up his glamor and gets to work. Tumble Town grows faster than the Cod Empire and he finds himself an adversary. Joel, to be precise. His eyes are always clouded with emotion and his stern expression betrays grief-- this is not Joel from the world he spoke to Grian in. This is the Mezalian King, with clay and fountain-water shrouding his true, sickly green form. He understands why Joel acts like he does, and plays the part. He truly doesn’t mind, glad to be remembered and glad for eyes to be on him. Jimmy thinks about how he’d avoided Scott when they’d first been reborn. And then Tango, Scar, and Grian crawl out of the rift, a proud smile tugging at Grian’s face, and Jimmy is happy. He ignores the growing ache in his back, ignores the pit in his chest and drowns out the chanting in his ears with laughter. When it comes time for the Hermits to leave, Jimmy does not let go. Joel nods and finally realizes and stands by his side once more. You see, Jimmy has learned exactly what he hates so much about his curse. He just wishes he could stay with them, hearing their jokes and their voices and the sound of their breathing. He doesn’t breathe, neither does Grian. And Jimmy is so, so tired of feeling alone. So refuses to budge, and the raging voices bring about a doomsday device. That’s fine. He’s going to take every single second he can. Every moment of being remembered. He swallows down his bile and blocks the path that would let the hermits leave. Grian should’ve known-- if he gave an inch, Jimmy was going to use up every mile he had. Grian’s eyes flash in shock, and Jimmy spreads his wings wide in a threat. “Don’t go,” he tries to command, but all that comes out is a whisper. “Please...?”
anyone want an all over the place unedited little ficlet that im probably never going to clean up an post on ao3
