The line is from a scene in a movie I saw recently, 'pitfall'. I'm paraphrasing a longer few lines #dickpowell speaks to his son. The #fountainpen is a #jinhaox750 with a zebra g nib on it. It was tough getting the nib on. Murder, My Sweet (released as Farewell, My Lovely in the United Kingdom) is a 1944 American film noir, directed by Edward Dmytryk and starring Dick Powell, Claire Trevor and Anne Shirley. The film is based on Raymond Chandler's 1940 novel Farewell, My Lovely. It was the first film to feature Chandler's primary character, the hard-boiled private detective Philip Marlowe. This was probably the first film noir I saw. Sometime in the late 80s. On VHS because that's how we rolled back in those days. It is still one of my favorites. Chas (my late studio/art partner and best friend) always hated that I like this one. In his opinion Dick Powell was too lightweight to pull off Marlowe. Maybe he was and maybe he wasn't. I think the dialogue is excellent and the cinematography is outstanding. The single bulb in the interrogation scene at the beginning is such a great opening and Mike Mazurki as Moose Malone is worth the price of admission.
