one character group i should work out a bit at some point is the logical inversion of one of my most common villain archetypes; i use the idea of a group of entitled and spoiled villains who are rich or otherwise used to getting everything they want and feeling superior to everyone else, and i keep feeling the urge of making a group of heroes who have a similar origin but, at worst, lean towards the 'people born into big money who are nice, spoil their friends rotten and wind up having very serious thoughts about obligation to benefit others"
(possible themes of big-O Obligation from Genius the Trangression, the morality state from that gameline? make them mad scientists??? that sounds like a fun idea)
specifically a group that either mirrors my characters (which sounds like a lot of work, dont know if i feel like doing that) or has a number of powers that are generally considered gamebreakers and incredibly powerful, and likely to completely wreck stories if not handled carefully, with the implication being that they tend to focus more on intricate schemes, heists and fashion shows combined with Yu-Gi-Oh duels
the core motif is a group of characters who were born into luxury and good fortune, even if that world no longer exists. The usual assumption is that they were born or preserved in dream worlds that were splendid wonderlands, giving them everything they could ever want. These probably broke down or were destroyed, stranding them in the chaotic world the rest of the setting is in, going from riches to desperate struggles to survival. They adapted well enough (which is NOT always the case) and may even prefer the chaotic and dangerous world with its fun challenges and feelings of doing something worthwhile, but it also makes them a contrast to similar villain groups, who feel entitled or that they're just plain better than everyone else
this, in turn, makes them logical contrasts to my core main characters, who are a mix of mutated animals, sapient monstrous robots, abstract oddities, and natural disasters come to life and horror at their own natures. They rebel against their function or purpose, being a scrappy bunch of heavy metal punks fighting monsters, engaging in quests, and tend to assume the worst of fancy people like these characters. Sometimes it serves them well, as with the Spoiled Rich Jerk villain archetype, but here they're genuinely incorrect.
This group of characters would also focus on the idea of style; doing things with elegance and wit, making everything as cool as they possible can, and declaring "if you can't do it with style, don't do it at all!" They're shiny robots with glittering chrome bodies, shining golden beings with diamond hearts and purple capes, defeating foes with powerful attacks delivered with a seemingly effortless poke. (In reality, they're HIGHLY technical fighters who are relatively weak, but know much more than most people do about the fine details of magic, and basically have a selection of power tools and no one else really knows what a drill even is, so to speak.)
I'm not sure about their line up or powers, but I'm thinking at least one of them has time-related powers, mostly for stopping time for brief but powerful moments, making momentum reverse (similar to Tears of the Kingdoms' Recall power), and weaponizing it into super speed
