Ngl the fact that apparently Rathma has been dead for literal years by the time Lilith gets inside his temple is honestly so sad?

Like she has no idea until she’s standing before his corpse that she was too late. She was always too late and there is absolutely nothing she could’ve done to get to him in time. He’s been dead for years and she’s only been back in sanctuary for a few weeks. Even if he would’ve let her save him, she never would’ve had the chance to.

It really puts the confrontation between Lilith and Inarius in the final act into perspective imo? Lilith is struggling with the fresh grief of her son’s death while Inarius has been applauding himself and patting himself on the back for it for years. Like no wonder he dismissed her words about Rathma so easily. He’s convinced himself he did the right thing years ago and you can’t overturn years of telling yourself you’re in the right with a single conversation.

It’s just. GAH. It makes me feel so much sympathy for Lilith, and hate Inarius even more.

Lilith busting Inarius' stupid 'spear of Light' then telling him "they don't want you" right to his fucking face, then letting him think he won for a half second while he had a complete mental breakdown before she stabbed him with his own spear and ripped his wings off while he screamed for the Heavens that she just told him didn't want him.

She murdered him like four times in one scene. Gotta stan. Fucking destroyed him completely. Gotta give it up. What a queen.

Just started season 5 in Diablo and HOLY HELL I LOVE THE SEASON CAMPAIGN SO FAR

I did it, I downloaded the Diablo 4 beta and so far I am having a blast.

You can customize your characters now? For REAL? Naturally, I had to make my disaster girl. That top right is a textbook Fynta expression. Her, for fucks sake, face. And look! She still hates the cold!

It was a toss up between Barbarian and Druid, but in the end I went druid and I’m so happy that I did because now Fynta gets to be a werebear!

Anyway, I’m enjoying it so far.

OKAY SO, in diablo 4s story, donan(character im very attached to) dies right? walts up to a pillar in hell and it fucking rips a hole in his stomach, yeah? okay but what if that didnt happen though :) IN MY BRAIN VERSION OF THE STORY, EITHER: the guy never approaches the hell pillars(that are a bunch of people. why the everloving fuck would you approach these things in the first place. my guy. my dude. you are in hell my friend, approach nothing.) in the first place! so no stomach hole for you my friend ! literally the only reason he needed to do that was to make it to where you imprison mephisto in the soulstone instead of lillith. thats literally it. JUST TALK YOU GUYS. GO "HEY YKNOW LILLITH IS A WEAK LITTLE BITCH I THINK I COULD KICK HER SHINS IN EASILY" AND THEN GO DO IT.

ORR: it doesnt kill him. lorath takes him out of hell and to a medic! tadaa story intact, everything goes on as it does! except of course when you get out of lilliths wild mind palace(tm) lorath and donan are gone(because yknow. medic? needing to live?? not leaving the poor man to bleed out while you spend god knows in spooky eyeball dimension???) and neyrelle(TOTALLY DIDNT FORGET HER NAME) is still freaking out cause well one of her friends got attacked?? hello???? and everything goes as the game does :) maybe add a little spice and have fuck what was her nPRAVA attack the manor or something yada yada blasphemy of the heighest whatever noone likes her

finished diablo 4 last night and everyone and their cousin warned me that the campaign was the weakest part of the game, but holy moly i've never sided with a villain more immediately than i did with lilith from the very start. absolutely zero personal motivation to be the good guy at any point in that campaign. that bitch fuckin microwaved inarius and i was over here like GET GOOPED BOY LOL

About the "spear of Light pierces Hatred's heart"

The prophecy didn't fail because "Inarius stabbed Lilith in the stomach, not the heart!!!" and Inarius stabbing Rathma "because he was Lilith's heart!!!" doesn't complete it either.

It was never about Inarius, and the game tells us this very early on. The "spear of Light" was partially metaphorical and partially literal. Neyrelle and the Soulstone were the "spear of Light" and "Hatred's heart" was Mephisto, the Lord of Hatred. Neyrelle was the only one who understood the prophecy and what truly needed to be done. She was the spear of Light in the heart of the realm of Hatred; the Soulstone glowed with Light as it pierced Mephisto.

Additionally, Lilith stabbing Inarius with his own spear could be interpreted as fulfilling the prophecy, as Inarius was filled with hatred towards everything they created ("you belong in Hell") but this is more likely her fucking with him and mocking his vanity.
