emerald and mercury have me going abso fucking lutely crazy right now

even here they really only have each other. their whole interaction makes me sooooo... idk. sad??!??? they care each other so much. and now merc is gone!!!!.... like that look before he left? The reassuring nod? Emerald's look of sadness when she saw him leaving? He's the ONE person she can trust (and the one person who actually cares about her...) because she probably knows mercury's right about cinder. it's only em and merc who have each others backs in salem's world. i can cry so hard rn. and the way emerald immediately went to mercury to tell him what she heard. the level of trust they have for each other is sooo much. please get them out. And. And mercury talks so softly to her (and yes, it's probably to not be heard) but he's so honest with her. he's not putting up that asshole-y front because they can just b themselves with eachother. they just make me waaaawwaaahhhh. i have so many thoughts about them im so sad they got separated. please put them back together
