@dhahabibi sent: “It tastes… horrible…” Alhaitham admits, rather plainly, about the medicine that Tighnari gives him for his obvious cold. (@Tighnari from Alhaitham)
Complaints from Alhaitham are an interesting thing - even when strong in opinion they can be delivered with as little emotion as any random observation he might make throughout the day (not that any of Alhaitham's observations are ever truly random). Tighnari has administered this medicine plenty of times as well as taken a variation of it when he himself was ill; he knows how bitter it is and how pungent the aftertaste that lingers even when taken with a cup of sweet tea. Yet Alhaitham barely pulls a face as he swallows the syrup and points out its obvious flaw.
Tighnari can't help but smile, a near inaudible chuckle escaping him in response. "I know, but it brings instant relief against most symptoms of a common cold." He puts aside the spoon and sticks the cork back into the bottle of medicine before turning back to Alhaitham. His cheeks are flushed and his eyes don't look as bright as they normally do. Reaching out, Tighnari gently brushes some hair from Alhaitham's forehead and then lets his hand rest against the other's head for a moment.
"You'll feel much better in the morning," he promises, then hesitates. Normally he'd advise his patient to sleep and leave them to get back to work - but this isn't just any patient and he isn't at his house. Alhaitham is already lying closer to the opposite side of his bed than he might normally would to make room for Tighnari to sit at the edge, so it doesn't take a lot of shuffling around to get enough room for him to slip onto the mattress fully. When he lies down there's a notable space between them and yet Tighnari feels his stomach flutter from being so close. With an arm under his head as a makeshift pillow he keeps his eyes on Alhaitham, noticing all the little tell-tale signs of him getting sleepy.
"I'd like to stay until you're asleep.. Is that okay?"

@dhahabibi liked. / Zhongli for Ningguang
The fabric is smooth between his fingers as he drags them along the seams of the garment. He can tell from this touch alone that it is of outstanding quality indeed - as expected of materials sourced by the Tianquan. “ Exquisit, ” he praises. “ This dye is not commonly found in Liyue, usually imported from Inazuma where its raw components can be found more readily. ” Despite the arduous process of production, the results are well worth the effort in his humble opinion. The glossy finish alone sets the cloth apart. “ And these stitches… Truly wonderful. The artisan must be a master of their craft. ”

@dhahabibi: “How aren’t you cold?? It’s freezing down here!” Kaveh complains, arms crossed until his hands can rub his shoulders for warmth. It doesn’t help that his shirt leaves him exposed, either… (@Wrio from Kaveh)
Cool eyes slide in Kaveh's direction, an unmistakable fondness creeping into his expression. Really, it's not surprising that he's cold - most people within the Fortress are at least dressed somewhat appropriately to be living under the sea. As much as he loves that light, flowing shirt... well, it's suited to Sumeru, not Fontaine.
He doesn't even hesitate. He shrugs out of his coat, drapes it gently around Kaveh's shoulders. He doesn't notice the cold as much as others - perhaps something to do with being a cryo vision user. His coat is just for aesthetics, but it'll be more than warm enough for Kaveh, especially since it's been around his shoulders for hours.
"How's that?" His hand lingers upon Kaveh's shoulder - away from prying eyes, he's free to touch him as often as Kaveh permits. "But it might help if you wore something that wasn't as thin as paper, you know." A quirk at the corner of his mouth; a glint of mischief in his eyes. "Not that I'm complaining, of course..."

The night is cold. Its crisp air clings to Xiao's cheeks and nose; and though he feels it, he is far from bothered. Nothing compares to the chill of her hands, not even the freezing winters he'd spent sitting amidst wafts of snow, starving for her amusement.
When he enters the sacred rooms of the Jade Chamber, he shakes off the chill in a bodily shudder. On the tianquan's table he places a single glaze lily before seating himself in an unseeming corner. Here he shall stay until she returns - eyes closed and deep in meditation.

@dhahabibi
It was nerve wrecking to be so far from home. Still to be contacted to work on THE Jade Chamber. He was sure the letter had been a lie, but the seal looked legit and he had socked away enough money to at the very least catch a boat over to Liyue. He rubbed his neck following a waitress into the restaurant, towards the back. Through out the day Kaveh had been enjoying his visit to the country. He had made as many sketches as possible. Even wiriting down ideas for the possible expansion they had mentioned. Walking into the room Kaveh's breath caught in his throat. The woman at the table exude a calming yet commanding presence. She looked like the embodiment of her nation. Stead-fast and resilient, there was a reason she held the title of Tianquan. Kaveh bowed, "Lady Ningguang? I'm Kaveh from Sumeru. It's a pleasure to meet you."

continued. @dhahabibi
It felt like a swift stab to her chest, the intense bluntness of his words startling her in such a way that she couldn't quite recall the last time she had felt a similar way.
In truth, Uri hadn't meant to yell at him, let alone shake him like she had. It was more like a wrong place, wrong time for Alhaitham as her frustrations had built up to a boiling point. And unlucky for him, he had been the closest person within her vicinity.
She knew he was right too, which only seemed to add to the painful stabbing sensation building in her chest.
"I- No, you're absolutely correct." Uri cleared her throat and reached up to push her bangs away from her eyes, an anxious tic. "Ah, though it's simply harder to figure these things out when I feel like an ant to a giant in my situation." She frowned, then shook her head.
"My apologies, I hadn't meant to...blow up at you."

@dhahabibi ⸺ ( x )
Cobalt depths, moving calmly, observed the sight before him, Childe took in the city of Mondstadt. It had been a good while since he had been here. It was just as nice as he remembered it, even with it being nothing like his homeland - but, that was the beauty in it. It was something fresh, which held its own beauty and landmarks worth seeing. It truly was the city of freedom, something that could even be felt in the wind, which carried dandelions along its path. Even though sightseeing wasn't the main reason that he was here, Childe would still enjoy everything as much as he could.
Walking into the well known tavern, the harbinger instantly spotted a very eye-catching male, one he of course knew quite well due to the reports that he had received before coming here, the first time.
❝ Since a bird told me that you no longer serve fire water, could I request you to make something else for me? ❞

@dhahabibi liked for a starter— for diluc!
ˏˋ°•*⁀➷ || okay, so maybe collei is staring, but can you really blame her? it's not even the fact that she vaguely remembers his presence from all those years ago when she had first ended up in mondstadt; no, what has really caught her eye is the bird of prey that sits perched on the man's arm. diluc— at least, she's pretty sure that's what his name is— looks so casual about it too, like this is just a normal thing to do. perhaps this... is a regular occurrence for the people of mondstadt?
(she'll have to ask amber about it later.)
with how comfortable diluc looks while handling the bird, collei can only assume that it's his pet. before she can think twice about it, her timid yet curious voice speaks up, eyes still glued to the bird (and its intimidatingly sharp beak)—
"does it... does it have a name?"
#( diluc and collei handshaking over being orphans who were fucked over by fatui stuff? lets go )#dhahabibi#( sorry this took like 84 years but here we GO )

@dhahabibi ♡'d for a starter
A short sigh escaped the man as he awaited his meeting with the famed Iudex of Fontaine. Though it had been arranged two weeks in advance, the Melusine that had seen him in regretted to inform the scholar of a previous engagement that was running a little later than anticipated. This didn't bother him terribly if he were to be quite honest— as both the scribe and acting grand sage he was no stranger to official meetings and the like running well longer than intended. What bothered him was that months after handing in his resignation letter, he was STILL being asked to perform duties that should have been handed off to someone else. Far be him from turning down a request that came straight from Lesser Lord Kusanali, but surely they had to have found someone more suitable by now. ( He didn't buy the notion that she had asked him because he WAS the most suited for the task ). A hand came up to rest on his chin as he considered drafting up a list of candidates himself, though the thought was short-lived as the door opened and in stepped the Iudex at last.
" Good afternoon, Chief Justice. Pardon me for waiting in your office ahead of time. The Melusine out front said I was welcome to— seeing as I'm here to discuss official matters. "

" what questions do you have in mind, @dhahabibi? i have much knowledge of aaru and our ancestors. however, if you're looking to inquire about my own family history.. we'll have to settle over water or coffee." with arms crossed, the esteemed guardian and seeress in relation to king deshret kindly awaits for the honorary scholar from sumeru city to begin his questionnaire. it wasn't often, if at all, that candace was involved in any sort of school related studies, even if someone wanted to interview her for personal reasons. / ✶ ⋆。˚ starter for alhaitham

@dhahabibi: Alhaitham is in the midst of cleaning up his books when Kaveh walks in, and right after he asked the other evening? Oh my.
There's a brief moment, just as he steps through the door, when Kaveh wonders if he's somehow stepped into an alternate dimension.
He freezes in place, rolled up blueprints tucked under one arm, eyes wide as he outright stares at this strange occurrence happening right before him. He's scared to even breathe in case it shatters the illusion.
Slowly, as if to avoid spooking a timid prey animal, he begins to inch away towards his room. If he doesn't speak, doesn't draw attention to it, maybe Alhaitham won't even notice he's home. There are still books to be put away, after all. It'd be even more frustrating if the scribe left the job half-finished.
Perhaps he'll make dinner later, as a thank you. You have to reinforce good behaviour with rewards, after all.

@dhahabibi liked.
How long has it been since Xiao last sat like this, surrounded by Sumerian flowers? Eons, certainly, and yet the sensation of the plush grass and soft petals beneath his palms remains familiar. He turns his head, noting the figure behind him stir. " It is unwise to sleep ungarded like this. " Though admittedly, with Xiao closeby, no harm would have befallen the stranger.

@dhahabibi ˚ ༘ ೀ⋆。 // sent a message (from meme) umbrella, sender lets receiver under their umbrella. (From neuvi)
The weather in fontaine is unpredictable at best – one moment the sun is out , the ground is dry, birds chirp in delight && people are out to play & bask under the glowing sunlight of the morning sun , && then suddenly it’s gone, the fiery yellow orb hides behind the darkening clouds, small rubbles of thunder, lightens the heavy sheets of fluffy graying clouds && then drizzles of water came back to earth in hurry , as people of fontaine rushes out of the rain , && avoid getting wet at all cost.
The weather is so unpredictable , to the point that the forecast of the rain is not reliable anymore – && people of the hydro nation had gotten accustomed to it – even a folklore was made to explain why it always rain in fontaine. .
❛ Hydro dragon, Hydro dragon…. Don’t cry! ❜ Furina listened to kids singing the folklore as she stood at the heavy rain fall of the sky , she was on her way back home to her apartment – when the sky decided to weep it’s tears without any reason. At the corner of her eyes , citizens of all kinds rushes inside their home in panic avoiding the cries of the heavens , but furina didn’t flee — why would she hide ? when she and the sky shares tears that the world decided to pretend not to see.
Soaked from the continuous rain , furina continued to walk mindlessly to the route of her destination , albeit the growing coldness seeping through her body , furina still pressed on , unwavering despite the heavy rainfall that drops into her cruelly , when suddenly – she was startled by footstep approaching behind her .
Of course — she knew who it was, years of living together in the grand Palais, the fraud of an archon had known each && everyones’ footsteps by heart – , she need not to see pr look to know who it was . && certainly her guess was proven true , when a black umbrella shielded her from the rain that she enjoyed spending time with.
❛ You know… it’s not necessary anymore to use an umbrella when you’re already soaking && freezing wet with the rain– monsieur neuvillette — but I… I appreciate the kindness.. ❜ she uttered as she stopped walking to look at him at the side of her eyes. Trying to study if the hydro dragon was upset yet again ---
❛ I hope the trial is – not the reason why the hydro dragon weeps tonight – I hope that he doesn’t have to weep at all … don’t you think so too ? Mister Iudex ❜ Furina continued on before reaching out her hand to the sky and suddenly saying. ❛ Hydro dragon, Hydro dragon…. Don’t cry ❜

@dhahabibi sent: *slides his rent across the counter to Haitham, but it’s literally all in the Mora equiv. of pennies* 😤
The sound is grating. From the moment Kaveh approaches him, a bag of clinking coins in his hands, he has part of Alhaitham's attention - the part he's rather unwilling to give but that sadly tends to act without his compliance. It only gets worse when Kaveh starts to pour them out onto the table, each coin hitting the surface with a noise that makes the letters in front of Alhaitham's eyes jump on the page they're printed on. He re-reads the sentence a third time but the words ricochet and once more fail at being processed.
Finally silence settles, only interrupted by a huff from Kaveh that appears to express something between self-satisfaction and provocation. Because what else could such an act attempt other than provoking a reaction of a certain nature? The scribe lowers his book and glances at the pile of Mora, instantly uncomfortably aware of the chaos it epitomizes in this state. At least it's all coins of the same value and not a conglomeration of different valued coins one would have to sort before counting.
"What makes you think I trust this to be the right amount for your share of the rent?" he asks without looking up. It seems like enough to roughly be the right amount, but of course there is no telling without making sure. "You wouldn't give this to me if you were short, which means you counted it before coming here; but you know I won't accept this without confirmation that it's enough, so you know I'd want it counted. Yet after counting it by yourself you put it all back into a messy pile. Are you this desperate to waste both our time?"
