i recently had the vision of the Eighth doctor making Charley and C'rizz create a band! (mostly in the space between them leaving the Divergent Univerce, as i headcanon that time to be wayy longer then the standered Tardis trip, and the Doctor was bored as all heck)

coming up to them all school of rock style, Charley was part of the high class so she probably sorts of knows the basics for something, not just the piano i mean, i see it more as a violin, so the doctor just turns it around to like "no you defenetly can play this electric giture!!" and Charley will be like "ok fine lets crack at it" and being very bad

and the doctor bringing C'rizz to the drums like "this will help you let off some steam C'rizz!!"

and C'rizz suprisengly loves it because wow load noise, anf the doctor presented a band to them like "they express themselvews through music!!" and C'rizz is like i can express myself and only myself?? find myself through this music thing?? and i can hit things???

he of course breaks a bunch of drums when he gets reallly into it

and the doctor is the solo singer and he loves to do weird ass movments and sing for too long, but C'rizz and Charley are the background singers and roll their eyes at the doctor's anticks

and of course the doctor starts them up on like, "welcome to the black parade" because it really fits their themes and he has no self awearness for how diffcult it is for beginners dfgdfgdfg, and Charley has a long but barable giture solo

down the line he sometimes joins in with his violin playing powers and impresses the fuck out the other two, who genunly feel like he is not the best musician

aiko is,, surprisingly good at singing? my original idea was for her to be an ex idol but i ended up discarding that,, she's still pretty good at singing tho. really sweet and soft voice!! i think that aiko wouldn't be fully opposed to becoming an idol if she's surrounded by friends but she'll get shy hehe it's not like she has stage fright but rather a "can i really do this / am i good enough?" kind of situation. she's good at producing but being an actual idol? no, no, aka should look for someone that has the skills! she'll help her to get her unit ready <3 aiko will support her career and be her biggest fan (❁´◡`❁)

the more i read/write, the less i find myself taking notes, like point-by-point or para-by-para notes. most of the time the taking detailed notes snaps me out of a reading in a way i don’t like—i engage w d&g the most in philosophy, and their writing lends itself i think to reading it thru and experiencing the writing itself, rather than trying to pull out an argument that isn’t there.

i still take notes but now it’s mostly always patchy and bc i found one word/sentence i rly liked, and then i riff on it for a while and then keep moving on. i don’t like the “academic” style of taking notes to figure out the main point and the sub-arguments, nor does it help me read better

yeah the d&g collabs seem like they’d be crazy to try and notate... one thing that really blew my mind was reading Wittgenstein’s notes on Frazer’s Golden Bough, which is an enormous book, but his notes are only about 4 pages long and are like, ‘page 30, [quote] - frazer is stupid’ actually calls him stupid ‘its really like this...’ & then doesnt take any notes for another 500 pages dfgdfgdfgs. Lenin’s notes on Clausewitz are also interesting bc they are just his own bare political reflections on certain sentences & their applicability (Azar Gat says that he ‘read Clausewitz polemically’) & afaik he just scribbled them in the margins of the book itself. He often ‘corrects’ Clausewitz (where Clausewitz writes ‘the population’ Lenin scores it out and writes ‘the bourgeoisie’)

but yeah ive probably found my notes to be more useful if I’m taking them sparingly & with a particular project in mind rather than just like, a condensed version of the text. There has been occasion where I find it helpful (this one was helpful to refer to after about a year when I had mostly forgotten it; I dont know why I forgot so much of that and not others), but not that often. Certainly I don’t need any assistance reading critically.

thinking about when i was like 18-19 my mom wanted me to spend hours doing like get funding stuff and do all the paperwork for her and just everything else that goes into it because she wanted to open a restaurant and i was just like mom i dont have time for this you need to do this if this is what you want and she was standing like on the second floor yelling down at me like i want to leave you a legacy and i was like okay well i dont want to work at or run restaurant gdfhfghfghfg ??????? like legacy she did ZERO things with me about like her smith stuff and had me be zero involved with her family life if she cant help it, there was a place near by she was thinking of like investing in but one year my aunt/her sister came to visit and was basically like with what money are you going to be doing this and i think my mom was excepting her to like gift a bunch of money to get the place and my mom was fuming about it but basically let it go? like it would be nice if she was working for herself but she wants everyone else to put in like, the effort for her, like after they broke up my dad started a place that didnt last, i think she must still be hung up on things like that? we did the farmers market together but she didnt seem to want to do things like, right, to expand like she wants to set the stand up just on the yard for people to pass by like people do out in the rural but we live in a suburb now like dfgdfgdfg but all that is like, shes complaining about having to be cooking Her whole life and like girl,,,,,what did you think youd be doing if you had opened a place up?? she kept like turning down and leaving jobs that had better work conditions and utilized her skills more like i cant help you if you do this she acts like shes just eternally 20
