This is just for fun with VM. I made another quick wallpaper artwork, this time for my Win9X, running on vmware.

This is actually a modified Win10 (Project 2000) that I came across on YouTube about a month ago. So it's not a true Win98/2000.

It's not a completely perfect modification, but for retro gaming it's actually perfect for me. Practically no limits for what I need. And the ability to play Dreamcast/Saturn/PS1/PS2/Arcade games and feel like I'm still on Win98/2000 is a very nice idea.

But like I said, it's all just for fun.😋✨

The God of a Massive Pain in My Ass

You smiled softly as you looked over your shoulder at JJ who was excitedly telling you and Steve about his day at school. The school had been visited by the local fire department for a fire safety talk and JJ couldn’t stop talking about all the cool things he’d learnt.

“They brought a dog too! It was a dalmatian!” JJ exclaimed.

“Oh wow, does the dog fight the fires too?” Steve asked as he glanced in the rear-view mirror. 

JJ laughed and shook his head “noo! They stay at the station to keep everyone company”

“Aw that’s very sweet” you commented, running your hand over your bump and returning your attention back to the front.

As Steve turned the corner someone stood at your front door caught your attention. Your blood ran cold as you instinctively reached out to grab Steve’s arm “Stop the car here” you told him.

Steve instantly did as you said “What’s wrong” he said, eyes wide with worry as he looked over at you. 

“Nothing, just take JJ to the park while I deal with something,” you said, not taking your eyes off the person at the front door. 

Steve followed your gaze before swearing under his breath “Right okay yeah sure” he nodded. 

“Thank you, I shouldn’t be long 20 minutes max” you tell him unbuckling your seatbelt. 

“Sweetheart” Steve said putting his hand on your arm as you were about to get out of the car “Don’t get too stressed” he reminded you his eyes dropping to your bump. You shoot him a look that had him immediately backtracking “But you know I’d say this is warranted”

“Yeah I’d say so, 20 minutes” you huffed as you got out of the car. 

You waited until Steve pulled away again and was out of sight before you turned around to face your visitor who had the audacity to wave at you. You clenched your fists before storming up to the front door. 

His mouth had barely opened when you swung and punched your brother Loki square in the face “What the fuck is wrong with you!” you screeched. 

Loki groaned, hand cupping his jaw “I deserved that” 

“Seriously what is wrong with you?! Do you get off causing pain to your loved ones? Do you not understand how horrible it has been to grieve you multiple times only to find out you’re fucking alive! You didn’t think to come back and help us against Thanos?!” you shouted at him hitting his shoulders and chest.

“I couldn’t” Loki sighed.

“Couldn’t or wouldn’t” you sneered. 

“I couldn’t because he did kill me, that was the moment I did die, or at least that version of me” Loki sighed with a sad look on his face. 

Your screwed your eyes shut and shook your head “What?” you said unable to make sense of what he was saying. 

Loki sighed “I can explain if you would let me” he said holding his hands up in a defensive manner. 

You took a deep breath before looking up at Loki, you could see the sincerity in his eyes, eyes that looked tired and like they’d seen too much “okay, but you only have 15 minutes now before Steve and JJ gets back and beware the dog” you said as you pulled out the key and opened the door. 

As expected Scout came bounding over and was his usual wiggly self. It was difficult to stop the smile that threatened to break out as you watched Loki try and negotiate the golden retriever. You led him through to the living room, sitting down as soon as you could because you’d worn yourself out already. 

As soon as he could Loki sat down on the opposite side of the couch, hands ringing together nervously “did Steve tell you about his time when he went back to get the stones?” Loki started, you nodded in response “well I’m the Loki who took the tesseract after Stark lost it” he explained. 

You hold your hand up to pause him “Wait, so you’re from 2012? So the dark elves and Thanos that’s not happened to you yet?” you asked.

“Yes, it’s technically my future, I’ve seen it all play out at the TVA” Loki explained.

“TVA?”

“The Time Variance Authority, they control the timeline and ensure everything runs correctly” Loki explained, you blinked in confusion so he explained some more “Me taking the tesseract wasn’t supposed to happen, by me taking it I became a variant and they arrested me” 

“So you created a new timeline and they arrested you to get rid of that timeline?” you guessed.

“Yes, exactly that! But there’s more to it” he said before recounting his story of the TVA and Kang the Conqueror. 

“So right now all the timelines are loose and it’s causing time to unravel and if you don’t stop it the entire universe will cease to exist” you said pinching the bridge of your nose and trying desperately not to stress out too much about it. 

“Yes, but I know what I need to do, and it will work. I just wanted to make amends because I won’t be able to visit ever again,” Loki sighed.

“Why not? Don’t get me wrong I’m still pissed at you but I just got you back” you muttered.

“Someone needs to hold all the timelines together once I hold on I won’t be able to let go again” Loki explained “There’s no other way, I wish there was but I’ll be able to see you, watch over this timeline, maybe there’s one where we were all still together, you, me, thor… our parents”

You let out a watery chuckle hearing that, after everything you never expected Loki to refer to Odin and Frigga as his parents again “that would be nice” you said wiping away a stray tear. 

Loki gave you a sympathetic smile which just made you cry even more, this was the brother you grew up with and you couldn’t believe he was back only to leave for good.

“Sorry, it’s all the hormones” you apologised as Loki wrapped his arm around you and pulled on in for a hug. 

“That is an exciting development, I saw a boy with Steve too,” Loki said.

“That’s JJ we had him a year before the snap, he’s Steve’s mini-me,” you tell him with a warm smile.

“Urgh another one” Loki groaned which earned him a punch to the arm. 

“And this one will be a little girl” you smile gesturing down to your bum. 

Loki smiled warmly “Well if she’s anything like you she’ll be a handful, you were a nightmare child” he smirked.

You gasp and shove his shoulder “Only because of your bad influences, I recall both you and Thor egging me on”

Loki just chuckled and shrugged his shoulder, his expression turned serious when you heard the car pull up outside “Can I meet JJ?” he asked quietly. 

You sighed “he thinks you’re dead, I don’t know how to explain all this multiverse stuff to him” you admitted shaking your head “It’s already been confusing enough that I came back but Nat and Tony didn’t”

“We don’t have to tell him, I can say it’s part of my powers that I’m able to visit” he suggested, creating a duplicate of himself across the room which said “Just this once… please”

You let out a long sigh but there was only one answer. How could you possibly take away the opportunity for JJ to meet his uncle. The brother who meant so much to you growing up. 

“Okay we’ll see how he is but if he gets upset or confused” you warned. 

Loki held up his hands “Then I’ll go and keep watching on from afar” he promised. 

You smiled softly before standing up to go greet Steve and JJ. You spotted Steve was lingering by the car trying to stall until you opened the front door. 

“Mommy” JJ called out as he ran up the path to you “What’s going on?” he asked as he hugged your legs. 

“Nothing sweetie” you reassure him “We just had a surprise guest, one who would like to meet you if that’s okay?” you asked him. 

Steve arched a brow as he walked up to join you so you gave him a reassuring look to say it was all okay. 

“Okay” JJ nodded as he took your hand. 

“Good, he’s very excited to meet you” You smiled softly as you led JJ inside the house towards Loki. 

To your surprise, Loki was pacing back and forth in the living room, but as soon as you walked back in he spun around and smiled proudly back at you “Hi” he said his voice catching slightly. 

“JJ, this is your uncle Loki,” you said introducing him. 

JJ tilted his head as his brows pinched in confusion “I thought you were up in the stars?” he asked. 

The corners of Loki’s lips twitch upwards “I am, but I have special powers that allow me to visit you, only this once though” Loki explained as he took a few tentative steps towards JJ. 

“Powers?” JJ asked. 

“Yeah, look at this,” Loki said as he knelt down and created a bright green bunny to appear in midair, you bit back a laugh as you recalled him doing similar tricks when you were a child. 

JJ’s eye lit up at the fake bunny, you smiled as he rushed over to Loki to get a better look. Steve moved to stand in JJ’s place beside you, wrapping his arm around you and pressing a kiss to the side of your head.

“You feeling okay?” he asked softly. 

You nodded your head watching as Loki and JJ got to know each other “yeah, he’s not back for good but I’m glad I’m getting to see him one last time” you admitted quietly. 

“How is he back?” Steve asked. 

“He’s the Loki who stole the tesseract when you went back for it, but by doing that he created a new timeline and this is a variant of the Loki we know, but he knows what happened to our Loki” you explain “Apparently all the timelines are loose and unravelling at the moment but it's okay because he’s going to go back and hold them all together” 

Steve blinked a couple of times, his mouth opening and shutting as he tried and failed to comprehend what you just said. He finally shook his head and let out a long breath “I’m glad we’re retired and don’t have to deal with this anymore” he muttered.

You snorted “You can say that again, although it is interesting to think of all the different timelines out there, how different our lives might be in them”

Steve shook his head “they wouldn’t be any different, I would have found you in every universe and timeline” he said. 

You smiled softly up at him “I love you”

“I love you too” Steve smiled as he leaned down and kissed you softly. 

A short while later Loki stood up from where he’d been hanging out with JJ “I think my time is running out and I have a few more places to visit”

“Aww can’t you stay?” JJ complained. 

Loki smiled softly “unfortunately not, but I’ll be watching over you so I’ll never be far” he said gently ruffling up JJ’s hair. 

JJ still pouted but stepped forward to give Loki one of his bear hugs “Bye Uncle Loki”

“Bye little one” Loki smiled softly as he hugged JJ back. 

“JJ why don’t you and Dad go make a start on your homework while I walk Uncle Loki out” you suggested. 

“Okay say hello to Auntie Nat and Uncle Tony for me please” JJ pleaded. 

“Consider it done” Loki promised “Now get on with your work, intelligence is your best weapon”

JJ grinned back up at him before making his way over to Steve to make a start on his homework. You and Loki made your way back outside, pausing on the front porch neither of you really wanting him to go. 

“Are you going to see Thor?” you asked.

Loki chuckled “Yes, got any tips?” he smirked. 

“Take a shield, he’s got a mean axe now” you warned. 

“Any chance I can take Steve’s?” he asked hopefully. 

You laugh “Oh so it’s not too patriotic for you now that you need it?” 

Loki shrugged “I might change up the colour scheme, green and gold might look good” he smirked.

You snorted and shook your head “Well you’re out of luck because he gave it to Sam when we retired”

“Damn, I’ll think of something” Loki sighed.

Silence fell between the two of you “I wished you didn’t have to go” you sighed. 

“Me neither, but that's the hero gig right?” Loki said. 

You chuckled “Yeah it is, I’ll miss you” 

“I’ll miss you too, but as I said to JJ, I’ll be watching over you, being a proud big brother as your family grows” Loki smiled, resting a hand on your shoulder “I need to go now”

“Okay,” you muttered, your voice thick with emotion as you stepped closer to hug him tightly for the last time. 

Loki hugged you back, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your head before stepping back. You watched him walk down the path towards the road. He looked back once before an orange doorway opened and he stepped through, disappearing for good.

“Goodbye brother” you whispered.

After Cari, my dark tan TD Doll XunYiChao, arrived, I decided to do a small resin comparison of currently available colors for tans and 1 normal pink skin.

Light tan from TD Doll is very very pale, it doesn't show much darker than an slight olive toned normal skin. In comparison, dark tan is really a rich dark color, definitely worth the $60 extra for it (light tan also comes with a $60 up charge for a 1/3+ sized doll).

I also compared the light tan to some other light tan resins that I have at home which are currently available from their respective companies with and without flash:

Jointed Hand: TD Doll normal pink 2019 (yellowed)

Spare male hand: DFA light tan 2021

Full arm and hand: TD Doll light tan 2020 (I labeled it wrong)

Foot: Iplehouse peach gold skin 2021

I have a couple of other tans at home, which are discontinued or have been updated as color options, such as:

ok tbh i'm embarrassed so i'm putting this under a read more

in the au where we meet in hs i'm very much who let this child in this class cuz i'm basically shinsou's hypegirl bestie and he's actively bullying class 1a meanwhile izuku is like oh no a pretty girl is talking to me and ignores the fact that i'm calling him a kindergartener because he just really wants me to pay attention to him

in the au where we meet as adults but are enemies i think he's an asshole but also want to smash so bad like desperately and he has no idea why i'm slandering his name in public but also his pants get tight any time i'm on screen calling him a hypocrite

in the au where we meet as adults but we're neutral to each other i mostly don't like heroes in general as a concept because i think they're too idolized as opposed to like regular ass everyday heroes like teachers, firefighters, doctors, etc but i'm quickly won over by izuku specifically because he saves me from an active shooter in the hospital lmfao. in that au he admires me more than anything at first but also thinks i'm a little too anxious (the active shooter is technically my fault so i have a good reason) and takes me to coffee but then after that develops a crush

in general the theme is usually we technically sort of fall in quasi-love at first sight but there's always some kind of complex tension and it's usually something EYE do that causes problems

Love and Thunder

Summer was probably one of your favourite times of the year, especially now that you had less work over the summer vacation and more time to spend with JJ. Today Steve also had the day off from work so the three of you had decided to spend a day at the pool. 

You were just about to leave when a spaceship of all things landed on your front lawn. 

“Were we expecting any visitors today?” Steve muttered quietly to you. 

“Not that I’m aware of” you muttered back, you didn’t even recognise the ship. 

The door to the ship finally opened and you had your answer “Uncle Thor!” JJ exclaimed running off towards his uncle before you had a chance to stop him. 

“JJ careful!” Steve shouted after him before furrowing his brows “Who’s the girl?”

“Huh?” you hummed before spotting the little girl who looked to be a similar age to Thor walking off the ship behind him. 

“Little man you’ve gotten so big!” Thor boomed as he lifted JJ up. 

“Thor, I didn’t realise you were visiting today. Who’s your little friend?” you asked as you and Steve walked over to him. 

“I did send a raven, did you not get it?” Thor frowned.

“Not a raven no… did you send an email?” Steve answered. 

“No, ravens are more reliable and faster,” Thor said shaking his head “Anyway this is my daughter”

You choked on some air “Daughter?”

“Yes, I adopted her just a couple of weeks ago and thought we’d visit for your birthday” Thor explained nodding over to Steve.

“My birthday was two weeks ago” Steve pointed out.

“Oh my apologies, it’s been an eventful couple of weeks,” Thor said with a visible gulp, his voice breaking slightly. 

You instantly picked up that something was wrong and this visit was more than just introducing you to your niece “Um Steve why don’t you take the kids out to the backyard i think me and Thor have some catching up to do” you said putting a hand on Steve’s shoulder.

“But what about the pool?” JJ pouted. 

“We’ll go later or tomorrow, why don’t you show your cousin all the tricks you’ve taught Scout?” you suggested.

JJ’s face instantly lights up “Ooh yes c’mon!” he said gesturing to the girl to follow him. The two kids hurried to the front door, Steve following closely behind. 

“Remember no lasers Love!” Thor called out as she went, making Steve look back over his shoulder in shock. 

You gave him a reassuring smile and thumbs up “We’ll keep watch from the kitchen” you told him before returning your attention back to Thor “I’m sorry I just realised I didn’t catch her name”

Thor furrows his brows in confusion “I just said it, It’s Love”

“Right my mistake” you muttered “Why don’t we go get a drink and you can tell me more about my new niece” You patted him on the shoulder and guided him inside. 

Thor followed you inside and to the kitchen. You paused by the kitchen window looking out to quickly check on the kids and Steve outside, no laxer burns anywhere yet which was good. 

“Do you want a drink or anything?” you asked turning back around to face Thor. 

He shook his head and took a deep breath “Have you spoken much to Jane recently?” he asked.

You furrowed your brows at his question, unsure of the relevance “Oh um, no not really” you said shaking your head as you moved to sit down at the kitchen island “Not through lack of trying, I reached out a couple of times but assumed she was busy, why’d you ask? I know you guys haven’t been together since before the snap”

“Ah right well um we haven't but we crossed paths back in New Asgard” Thor explained clearing his throat as he shifted from one foot to the other.

“New Asgard? What was she doing there? Research?” 

“She was looking for this” Thor answers holding out his hand, to your surprise instead of Stormbreaker appearing, Mjolnir did instead. 

Your jaw dropped as you looked at the hammer, you could see the cracks from where Hela had destroyed it yet it had been fused back together “I-I don’t understand I thought it had been destroyed” you muttered in disbelief. 

“Me too, but turns out I put an enchantment on it to protect Jane so when she touched it, it healed itself and her” Thor explained.

“Her? What was wrong with Jane?” you asked shaking your head. 

“She had terminal cancer” Thor sighed, swallowing thickly as he looked down.

“Oh gods that’s awful, it’s a good th-” you started before your brain caught up. Thor had used the past tense, he had the hammer with him now and his demeanour didn’t convey happiness that she’d been cured “Wait… you said had” you said voice becoming thicker “What-”

“She passed” Thor answered without you needing to finish your question.

If you hadn’t already been sitting, you would have needed to because you felt yourself deflate at the news “shit… I– I- Thor I’m so sorry” you muttered.

Thor gave you a small nod before letting out a shaky sigh “Yeah- um I’ve changed my mind, you don’t happen to have any ale do you” he asked weakly.

“No, and you know that would be a bad idea anyway,” you told him with a sympathetic sigh, you didn’t have alcohol in the house full stop, with you pregnant and Steve’s hiccup with Asgardian liquor during the snap you only got it in for special occasions and in small quantities “come sit down and tell me everything” 

Thor sat down with a heavy sigh but to your relief told you everything that had happened the past couple of weeks. You tried your hardest to hold back your tears as he told you everything but with the hormones, it was a losing battle. 

“I’m so sorry you went through all that Thor, you did all the right things though and I know as hard as it is to hear it but Jane is in a better place now, she won’t be suffering anymore,” you told him softly, resting your hand on top of his.

Thor nodded “She’s in Valhalla now”

“Exactly, but please reach out more if you need me, I don’t want you to go back to that dark place” you said. 

“I won’t I promise, having Love… it’s something to focus on, a light in the darkness” Thor told you making you smile softly. You knew that Steve had felt the same about JJ when you were gone. 

“She is, and if you ever need us we’re here” you promised him. 

“Thank you sister” Thor smiled. 

The backdoor opened and the two kids ran back in, Steve following close behind with an apologetic look on his face. 

“Mom, is it time to go to the pool yet?” JJ asked as he came to a stop next to you. 

“Yes sorry, we’ll just need to get Love a swimming costume on the way” you told him.

“Yes! C’mon” JJ said getting Love to follow him, Thor went with them leaving you and Steve in the kitchen. 

“You okay?” Steve asked putting his hand on the small of your back as you stood.

You took a shaky breath and nodded your head, “yeah” you said your voice breaking, it wasn’t true and Steve definitely knew that but you just weren’t ready to talk about it.

The rest of the day at the pool Steve periodically checked in on you. You stayed out of the pool on the sunloungers with your book which Steve could tell you hadn’t actually read a single page of. Whenever he looked over to you from the pool you were either looking off into the distance or watching the kids play with a sad look on your face. 

He wanted to know what it was that Thor had told you that made you so upset but he wasn’t going to push you. You clearly needed some processing time and he wasn’t going to ask Thor either.

That evening after saying goodbye to Thor and Love and putting JJ in bed, Steve found you in bed curled up as best as you could on your side. Steve climbed into bed next to you, wrapped his arm around you and pulled you gently into his side. You rested your head against his chest and started sniffling.

“You ready to talk about it?” he asked softly.

You sniffled and wiped away your tears “Jane died” you whispered.

“Oh,” Steve muttered, his shoulder dropping.

He didn’t know Jane as well as you but knowing she was gone was hard to hear. He knew the two of you were pretty close following your fight against the dark elves even if you fell out of contact throughout the years.

“Turns out she had terminal cancer, I just can’t believe I didn’t know, that I couldn’t be there for her,” you said shaking your head. 

“I’m sorry sweetheart, I know you would have done everything you could of, did Thor know?” Steve asked as he rubbed your back soothingly. 

“Not until just before,” you said before recounting everything that Thor had told you.

“Well as hard as it is to hear it seems like she didn’t want people to know and we have to respect that decision even if it hurts” Steve sighed as he held you close. 

“I know I just wish I had reached out more” you sighed as you snuggled further into him. 

“I understand, when people die it makes the people that are less behind regret all the things they didn’t do” Steve sighed “I regretted not telling you that I loved you more, I regretted everything that happened with the accords and that we couldn’t move into this house when I originally planned, I’m just glad I’m getting a second chance”

You smiled softly up at him “I love you too, every day for the rest of our lives” you whispered.

“I love you too” he smiled as he kissed you softly “And when we get an opportunity we can go visit and say goodbye” Steve suggested.

You smiled and nodded your head “It might have to wait until this one comes along but I’d like that” you said running your hands over your bump. 

“Sounds like a plan” Steve smiled. 

The two of you relaxed together, Steve grateful to feel you relaxing in his arms. He replayed the day in his mind unable to quite comprehend everything that had changed in less than 24hr. He had a niece now, something he didn’t think would ever happen. 

“I know we’re supposed to love family…” Steve started “But love is terrifying” he said making you burst out laughing. He smiled and laughed along with you, glad to see you smiling again.
