You were taking a morning stroll by the beach alongside your best friends.

The two young men were chatting, walking side by side while you trailed behind them, admiring the beautiful scenery and listening to the soothing melody of the tranquil waves.

They swiftly stopped on their track, and turned around to face you.

“What is it, sunshine?” said Ace, anticipating.

“Do you know what it feels like to have you in my life?” A smile graced your lips as you stared at them fondly. “It feels like the sun had risen in my life again, and it feels like all the things I lost came back to me.”

Ace had a wide grin stretched on his face upon hearing your heartwarming declaration.

Deuce on the other side beamed a bright smile, and soon, tears began to emerge from his vibrant green eyes.

“It’s been wonderful having you as a friend.”

“It’s been wonderful to have known you too, Ace and Deuce.” you stepped closer and reached out to wipe Deuce’s damp cheeks before you engulfed them into a group hug.

Whether it was a happy, emotional or a sad moment, the way you held them in your embrace had always been the same; warm, gentle and affectionate.

It feels like the sun had risen in my life again.

It feels like everything I lost came back to me.

Your words echoed in their heads over and over again.

“Actually that wasn’t cheesy at all.” The blue haired man exclaimed, giving you an endearing smile. “Trust me, that’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve heard.”

“Really?” you giggled sheepishly.

“Yeah, you heard him right, sunshine.” Ace chuckled as he held your gaze, looking at you affectionately.

I started watching the new Monster High series and I like it! It's entertaining and not as bad as I thought. My problem is with some characters, like Clawdeen; even though I don't mind her new personality and her being half human, I remember Clawdeen being this fashionable diva and ahhh. :( It just feels like a completely different character. Same with Cleo, she was the popular girl, she was kinda mean but on the inside she loved her friends. Now she's not popular and she's kinda silly - I'm all for having these kinds of characters... but we already had them! Like Howleen: a great example of someone who felt like the shadow of her sister, who wanted to be popular and, she was a little silly.

And Lagoona :`( Lagoona is unrecognisable. She looks completely different, if it weren't for her name I would've thought it was a new character. She also acts completely different. She was the mom friend, she was helpful and understanding; now she's uh, I don't know lol. They went for that "creepy but cute" thing I guess.

In conclusion, I like the new series, but it makes me feel sad to see what they did to some of the classic characters.

He did not even think twice before taking the orange out of your hands after you asked, “Yeah, don’t worry,” he said as he began to peel it for you, tossing the peel onto his tray as you both sat in the cafeteria. Deuce never protested when it came to you—eagerly coming to your aid whenever you needed it.

“When I asked Ace to peel it, he called me a sloth,” you mumbled, resting your cheek in your palm as you watched Deuce clumsily peel the orange. He did not have a satisfying way of going about it, but it was the thought that counted. Plus, it was cute seeing him so focused on a simple orange. It reminded you about how much care he put into everything.

It was sometimes hard to imagine he might have been a mean delinquent at some point. Especially not while he blushed and peeled a tiny orange for you.

Deuce shook his head at you, “You should stop asking Ace for help and come to me instead,” he said, a blush coming to his cheeks as he handed you the peeled orange back, trying not to let it show. Once you took it, he fiddled with the bits that got under his nails to distract himself from the racing of his heart.

You grinned and picked a piece of the orange, holding it to the blushing boy’s lips, “Say ‘ahh’ for your reward,”

His blush deepened and he tensed up, but like a loyal knight, he did as you said, “Ahh…”

🩷 — ROOK HUNT.

All you did was like a video of someone peeling an orange for their boyfriend, and suddenly you woke up to a basket of freshly cut oranges and grapefruit at your bedside table. You rubbed the sleep away from your eyes and knitted your brows, “What the—”

“Oh, Trickster!” called Rook from the halls of Ramshackle. That explained it, “Come down, mon ange (my angel),”

You sighed and walked over to the bathroom to rinse your face and brush your teeth. It was just Rook, so you did not bother changing out of your pajamas and your arms were too tired to brush your hair. Picking up the basket, you descended the stairs only to be met with a strong scent of citrus. There he was—your hunter boyfriend—with his uniform sleeves hiked up his arms as he squeezed you some fresh orange juice. He was grinning without care, completely aware of the eyes that wandered over his forearms, “Good morning,”

“Morning… how did you—never mind,” you shook your head, deciding against asking him how he knew that oranges were on your mind, “I’ll get started on pancakes.”

Rook rinsed his hands so that he could hug you without making you all sticky. He smelled like oranges. He told you that he did not want scents lingering on him since it was bad for hunting, but it seemed he would break his own rules for you. He kissed your cheek, pressing his chest against your back, “Did you enjoy my surprise?”

“You know I did, sugar,”

“You think you are in the position to ask me to peel you an orange? How cute,” Yae twirled the orange in her hands, holding it up, her violet eyes trailing over each of the little ridges and grooves. When she glanced at you, she laughed at the look on your face, “Oh, I won’t scold you, sweetheart,”

She was just so nerve-wracking to be around. Her eyes would trace over your figure and you were caught between wondering if she was judging you or admiring you. Either situation would cause you to second guess yourself, “N–Never mind, I’ll do i—”

The moment you tried to reach out for the orange, she dismissively waved her hand and shook her head, “What, you don’t think I can peel an orange?” she asked, taunting you a bit. When you froze, she laughed again, “Teasing, teasing,”

Honestly, she would give you a heart attack at this rate. Yae always did this, teasing you before giving in to your romantic desires. You frowned at her before looking away and crossing your arms, “You shouldn’t tease me all the time,” you muttered. “Hmm?” she hummed, her brow raised in amusement. Who did you think you were? Surely not anyone who could order her to do anything. You were lucky she was so entertained by your blushing and pouting. She used her electro to slice the peel of the orange, letting the perfectly cut peel fall victim to the purple sparks. She plucked a piece for you, holding it to your mouth, “Open up~”

🩷 — KAVEH.

Ugh, you beat him to it. He desperately wanted to ask you to peel an orange for him. He had read about it somewhere and wanted to test it out on you, but here you were, looking cute and holding out your orange to him, “Can you peel mine, azizam (my dear)?” he asked, holding out his orange to you.

You could not help but snort in amusement before taking the orange from the architect and beginning to peel it with him. Occasionally you glanced over at his. He peeled the orange so artistically, making a floral pattern out of the peel. Yours… well yours was a mess.

Kaveh took the messily peeled orange and laughed. Your handiwork was nothing like his. He insisted on making everything beautiful, and you insisted that it was better to be practical, “Ah, how beautiful,” he teased.

A sigh escaped your lips and you rolled your eyes when he began to kiss your cheek for forgiveness. Your eyes fell on the orange he gave you, the pretty flower petal shapes—he put an artsy flair to everything he did, “You’re such an annoying pretty boy.”

“Only for you, azizam,” he replied, before biting into the orange and then leaning in to kiss you so that you could get a taste of the citrus too. He could taste the lingering syrup from the baklava you had earlier that day on your tongue. It made him smile against your mouth as he pulled back, “Someone’s been eating deserts without me. How will you make up for it?”

Well there was that one time that Chris got sick…

“I can’t help but wonder why the ghosts aren’t taking care of you.”

“They have other things to do, Ace. Harry tends to the garden out back, Sigmund and Bart need to check on the fire fairies in the dining hall—“

“Wait, they have names?”

“Deuce, sweetie—“

Chris’s words were cut off at their own coughing. They did their best to turn away from their friends whenever they had to cough or sneeze, while also keeping the cup of noodles that Ace and Grim lovingly made from spilling. Chris had woken up that day with a fever, though Grim refused to tell them the exact temperature he read off of the thermometer they used. They could only assume that meant bad. Grim was quick to demand the two Heartslabyul students to come over and help take care of Chris, despite their insistence that no one should enter the building let alone tend to them. So here they all were, together in one potentially germ infested room. Whatever Chris had was bound to spread, they were sure of it.

Deuce carefully took the remainder of the noodle from Chris’s hands and placed it on the bedside table. “You should probably try to lay back down.” He urged. “Get some rest.”

“Brother, I tried. I can’t sleep like this.”

“Then we’ll get you some cough syrup! Ace let’s—“

“Nooooooo don’t.” Chris whined. “You’re not allowed to go spending money on me, not even for something little!”

“Chris, you’re sick!” Ace retorted. “Do you expect us to just sit around and watch you cough all day?”

“What I expected, Trappola, was for you to stay away from me while I’m gross!”

“Well then we’d have to stay away from you all the time!”

Grim laughed from the loveseat he was sitting comfortably in. Chris flipped him off. He flipped them off back. Roommates. “What I’m saying,” Chris continued “is that you two can’t exactly go back to your dorm without endangering the rest of Heartslabyul. You shouldn’t’ve come here.”

“It’s fine!” Ace insisted. “Deuce and I are perfectly healthy! No one’s even gonna know we were here to begin with.”

“They already do.”

“Huh?”

Chris plucked their phone from its charger and held it up so the boys could see. There was a text exchange between them and Trey from a few minutes earlier. The duo started at the phone, and then their friend.

“Did you see that word right there?” They pointed to their phone screen. “Quar-an-tine. That means you dweebs are stuck here.”

“What?!”

“No, Vice Housewarden and Chris have a point.” Deuce said dejectedly. “If we get sick then we could get our whole dorm sick too.”

“I can’t believe you’re agreeing with them!” Ace argued. “We’re both tough guys with tough immune systems! We’ll be fine!”

“Yeah, but what if we’re carriers?”

“We won’t be carriers!”

“Ramshackle has plenty of extra rooms.” Chris butted in. “You won’t have to share.”

There was a long pause as everyone seemed to wait for Ace’s response.

“…Oh fine!” He finally said. “But you’re gonna have to deal with us!”

“I’d love nothing more.”

I just had a thought- how would Grim and the ramshackle ghosts feel about all the stuff happening to us?

Especially if the yandere(s) are coming over to our dorm too! Would they, depending on the severity of the yandere and their specific actions, range from supporting it cuz yknow reader gets to be happy with someone who treats them well and loves them to concerned because sweetie please get yourself outta there 😭

I can imagine Grim is NOT alright with it and for a multitude of reasons, they are taking away your time with HIM, and once he pays more attention to the bigger picture? Yeah messed up things be occasionally happening that could very well hurt you!! He does not like that!!!

im just imagining Grim being visibly not alright and reader will not have it either when it comes to him, they are a PACKAGE deal and that is that no matter which yandere comes their way 🗣️

we have many people more alright with Grim being reader’s number one priority, or yknow silently(?) wishing it was them, poor Grim and Reader man encountering yandere after yandere 😭

Grim would give us a look if we expressed any sort of romantic interest in any yandere I think lol

So im mainly gonna focus on grim, no offence to ramshackle ghost fans, I just really like the silly little fire-cat/rat/weasel/creature. He was literally our first friend, our first companion (I bet Ace and grim bicker on who was your first).

And oh boy, guy is NOT HAPPY when he sees all these dumbasses vying for your attention and either trying to butter him up with tuna (which will not work on the mighty grim!) or ugnore him completely! Like you stated you and him are a package deal! Get the prefect and get their silly hungry companion!!

Now, grim surely uses his position as your closest companion as a safety net, they can't kill off the closest you have to family in this world! Guess they gotta live with him if they wanna have a life with you.

Ace hates that grim was your friend before him, feeling annoyed whenever he bullied (Juice) Deuce about being friends with you before him only for grim to butt in. Ace isn't too annoyed with grim though, and grim thinks that Ace is one of the better choises of the roster you have, they're both friends after all.

Of course most students in the cast don't liek "sharing" you with grim, especially the more territorial ones. Leona is probably the worst, I mean come on they're both feline looking creatures. With scent being a heavy thing for felines (yes even beastmen dont come at me) Leona is not happy to have his scent on you be muddied by the little rodent (the greatest mage of all, grim). Probably the worst choise since they're just gonna bicker to the end of the world..

Floyd doesn't like this either! Not fair that he has to share!! And with grim no less.. Floyd results in biting you instead of scenting, his chompers being good for nibbling on you. He also has the advantage that grim is sorta afraid of him (honestly who wouldn't be? Especially yan Floyd...).

Kalim tries to brime grim, with anything he could ever think off! Unlimited tuna for grim, and the best there is as well!! Nything grim could ever want on a silver platter, only if grim let's kalim marry you! That alone doesn't sound too bad, but that unsettling horrifying servant that follows Kalim around. He knows what jamil can do, and he sure does NOT want you with that dude!- guy is manipulative and creepy (he would definelty seperate you and grim!-)

Malleus... Malleus scares grim, guys is honestly horrifying. Threatening to curse him into an eternal slumber so he can whisk you away from him, he doesn't want that! You would also get sad id malleus did that, so luckily the possessive dragon had to share (for now...)

Whoever you choose, grim would probably disapprove, guy thinks of you as family (he will never admit that tho). He cares about you, and he is not okay with the invasion of privacy from these teenagers! >:(

As the night grows darker, a comfortable silence crawls into your room. 

The only sound than can be heard is your best friend’s calm breathing, and the gentle rustling of the trees from outside the slightly opened window.

“I thought you’re already sleeping.” you chuckle, breaking the tranquil quietness.

“I’m having trouble falling asleep.” Deuce responds, his voice is drowsy but he’s still wide awake.

A short pause ensues.

Then he shifts so he can face you, only to see you staring back at him softly, a gleam of affection twinkling in your eyes. 

“You know…” Deuce trails off, pondering for a moment as he holds your gaze. “Sometimes I wish I was popular like you.”

“Why would you wish for that?” you ask, your expression a mixture of slight confusion and curiosity.

“I don’t know,” Deuce merely shrugs. “I think it’s cool.”

“You think it’s cool?” 

“Isn’t it?”

“Believe me Deuce, being popular is not always fun and games.” you admit, a deep sigh escaping your lips. “My admirers don’t really know me. I mean, who’s going to waste their lives to get to know me?” 

“I would.” He answers in a delightful tone, his kind eyes shimmering fondly. “I’m sure that in every different lifetime, I always get to know you and be your friend.”

“Deuce Spade, treasure of my heart, aren’t you the best?” you lift a sweet smile, pressing a light kiss on your best friend’s cheek.

“The best you ever had.” He exclaims brightly, giving you the same endearing smile.

it makes me crack up that its highly likely that the event will be revolved around entertainment industry and the character line-up makes sense so far like:

I love all the little scenarios you write with the first years. I love their bond with each other 🥺💖

I often think about them having a sleepover over at ramshackle. Like they play video games late into the night and you find them all in in a puppy pile sleeping together. On occasion they all crash and sleep in Yuu’s room. Ones sleeping on the chair and the rest on the floor. Maybe they take turns sleeping with Yuu too

FIRST-YEAR SLEEPOVERS ARE MY WEAKNESS RAHHHHHH. it's basically set in stone in freshmen fanon at this point that the first-years love having sleepovers at ramshackle dorm and i love it lol.

THE IMAGE OF THEM PLAYING VIDEO GAMES AND THEN ONE-BY-ONE FALLING ASLEEP ON TOP OF EACH OTHER IS SO CUUUUTE AHWIUBGWOR. LIKE THEY'RE ALL ON THE FLOOR, WATCHING DEUCE PLAY UNDERTALE (i feel like the ability to make his own choices and finding ways through a scenario without having to fight would fascinate him lol), AND THEN YUU YAWNS, BLINKING SLEEPILY, BEFORE CONKING OUT ON ACE'S SHOULDER— AND LIKE ACE DOESN'T EVEN REACT MUCH, HE JUST LAYS HIS HEAD DOWN ON THEIRS AND KEEPS WATCHING. and sometimes, they all wake up, and they realize they never got off the floor because they were too comfy laying on each other, lol. it's embarrassing, but ortho thinks it's really nice.

and like— idk why, but i just love the image of ortho sitting in sebek's lap because of all the little brother privileges he gets from the others lol.

THEY ABSOLUTELY ALL CRASH IN YUU'S ROOM AND END UP IN THE WEIRDEST PLACES LOLOLOL. like i headcanon jack as the kind of person who sometimes "sleep-fights", so he has to sleep on the floor by default. but sometimes, deuce will sleep on the floor with him because of an incredibly weird yet somewhat wholesome sense of ⭐~ track-and-field club solidarity ~ ⭐, and it's okay, because deuce sleep-fights sometimes too, lol.

actually, i headcanon epel as the only one who actually sleeps peacefully, lol. mostly because there's a study out there that proves apples have small traces of melatonin inside of them, which in case you don't know, is the chemical in your brain that makes you calm and helps you sleep. there's not enough melatonin in an apple to actually help you sleep, but since epel lives, breathes, and thrives off of apples, he's probably got enough melatonin to last a lifetime, lol.

AND WITH THE SLEEPWEAR BD CARDS COMING OUT AIFWEBUT FIRST-YEAR SLEEPOVER ARTISTS GET ON THAT SHIT GET ON THAT SHIT RIGHT NOW.

(as soon as the other freshmen's sleepwear is available, obvs, which is gonna be kind of hard, because sebek's is going to be one of the very last bd cards of this set, like he always is. sadge.)

(it's really weird to think about, because i'm a traditionally eng player, and over here he's one of the first people to get a birthday card, but in the jpn servers he's one of the last and it's just really confusing, lol.)
