I really want to show a friend episodes of detective Conan where he doesn’t mention that he’s not a grade schooler and then randomly throw in one where he’s like “nah I’m an adult fr” and watch them freak out.

Ran in movie 14: Shinichi is Kid...

Me: No Ran... Shinichi IS A Kid, dang it you’re so close.

Head Canon: Tome knows who Conan is but he isn’t saying anything.

My evidence? He’s a CSI. We know they have Conans finger prints in the police database. (They used his prints to confirm that Akai was “dead” when Rena shot him). They most likely have Shinichi’s as well because, he’s been involved and consulted for so many crimes they’d need to differentiate between his prints and the culprits.

This means that the police have both Shinichi and Conans prints, which are exactly the same. I figure Tome would’ve found out around the time that Akai “died” because they had to check Conans cell phone for three different peoples prints. Now I am speculating, but I think Shinichis prints could’ve (and should’ve) shown up when they were matching the finger prints that were on Conans phone. So either Tome is the only one who knows (since it seems that he’s the head CSI) or all the forensics officers know and it’s a huge inside joke.

Conan: but if I did... it’d be danger...

I’d like to imagine that Ran has an embarrassing amount of photos of Conan just doing kid stuff with the gang and one day when they get hitched she’s gonna find them, and roast him for how hard he worked to keep his cover.

*Shinchi comes home for work*
