I just realized...

The monkeys would be the most dangerous Yanderes (don't ask why this came to mind, it's one of my groggy morning brain thoughts). Like... Wukong D.O. (Destined One) Macaque (lmk only cause I have not seen him in any other adaptation.) AND MK TOO NGL

It probably should be obvious. But it's not just danger levels from powers, but also their personality. Like, I can picture Mackie being on "Phantom of the Opera" type shit with his theater boi ass (what in the sweet heavens did I just type?)

Whereas, Wukong would be VERY clear on everything. He will not play around. Meanwhile the obsessive/possessiveness would probably just sneak up on MK. Like, he might not even realize it until he sees you around someone else and is like "Hold up- no. No, no, no. That's not right now, get back here."

D.O. on the other hand surprises you.

You can not convince me that this dramatic, petty, theater boy little shit (/aff) would not act like dude in "Phantom of the Opera". He probably would not make anyone sing, but dammit, he is manipulative and tricksy when he wants to be. And his shadow skills would make it easy to spy on you like bro in "Phantom of the Opera" does through the mirror. I don't know if he would set a theater on fire though- At most though, he'd be the stalker that tries to keep you safe. He does get possessive, but he would only kill if he had to. He's far more patient.

The yanderest of the yanderes in this list methinks, regardless of the version. Cause yeah no, bro is legit, book canonly, unhinged as is. He is already trigger happy to kill from the start. Yes, he does try, though not very hard, to talk things out. But there are certain things he won't even bother talking out. I feel, if yandere, this would be one of the things where peace was never an option. Like, I feel he would say, "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn" if you try to chastise him for killing someone who looked at you wrong hhh

He is a little angel! There's the danger. He has absolutely no clue how crazy he himself can get, so... like Wukong, he is a loose cannon, but in a different way. There would be no warning signs until it's too late and he is covered in....

He is smarter than that, believe it or not. Murder is illegal, and would be highly counterproductive. He'd be aggressively affectionate. Lots and lots of gifts, hugs that are perhaps a tad clingy, things like that. (I do headcanon him as a hopeless romantic. So the tropey/cheesy romance things would be his natural go to)

His insecurities though, could build up and lead to an exploding steam pot if not careful. Basically... Give the boy your attention and he should be fine for the most part. Heavens forbid he catches you cheating though... No one will survive, not even him.

Speaks one or two words a year, legitimately one of the most calm individuals in any universe. I don't think anyone has ever seen him lose his shit. While Wukong is clearly unhinged, MK hyperactive, and Macaron is dramatic, this guy seriously comes out of nowhere if you don't know what to look for. He is open, his silence however hides that. The possessive/obsessive behavior would mostly show in his body language, expressions, and how he might hold you. If you don't pay attention, it will surprise you. That is, if he ever leaves any evidence for you to be concerned over :) After all, he knows you would not like it if you found out he killed someone who got too close. So why would he let his sweetheart find out...?

I love that in the JTTW source material, Sun Wukong is never shown any romantic interest towards anyone and does occassionally make fun of Zhu Bajie and his escapades, but it's still very clear he loves the people aroud him. We love an aroace monkey king.

But I also really really really love that Black Myth Wukong adds their own twist and gave both Sun Wukong AND the Destined One (or rather his past reincarnation) love stories?? Sun Wukong has the tragedy going on with the White Bone Demon, he struck her three times to kill her (granted she did try to eat his master LOL), but he was never able to let her go and it is one of the many reasons why he wanted to leave buddahood behind and reject the celestial court.

With the Destined One, it is heavily implied in the game that the 4th spider sister was married to the previous Destined One (can I also add, excellent taste monkey, 10/10 I would marry her too), but obviously the prev Destined One carried on with his quest and well, probably never returned lol.

Anyway, I think it's a nice touch that each Destined One isn't just another reincarnation on a quest trying to become the new Sun Wukong, and that they can fall in love and get married too. The game doesn't tell us much about the Destined One's personality, with him being a silent protagonist so it's nice to see details like this.

I need people to start showing more traumatized Toya to me. He is not one of the most abused characters in pjsk for nothing.

Make him have a breakdown over not being able to open a popcorn bag (he's never done it before), watch him collect the little blobs with tears in his eyes when he opens it the wrong way.

Make him lock all the doors behind him (he was never allowed to) just in case someone bad comes in. Just in case he gets kicked out for good.

Make him jealous of the littlest bits of affection; of the hugs and kisses and frolicking that parents do with their children (he never needed it anyway, so why did it hurt so bad?)

Make him hitch, make him flinch, make his eyes bloodshot like those of a sacrificial lamb. Make sure he knows he's not safe. Make him wait for it with white knuckles and soundless steps.

Make him struggle with tying his shoes (nobody ever taught him how to).

Make Vbs tell him they'll teach him. All these little insignificant things that shouldn't matter— they'll teach him. They'll take care of him. They'll support him through it all.

Make Toya Aoyagi suffer — but most importantly — make him heal.

working backwards.

it definitely wrapped up way too neatly for my liking but considering the kind of show it was, I can't really hold that against it

I will however judge it on the really awkward cgi zoom out abrupt ending

I love me a villain who turns out to be a pathetic wet napkin when the evil ppan falls apart

my favorite part in any cdrama is when the villain reveals himself and immediately changes outfits to basketball in the decibels of all black

obvs mr wet napkin bad guy had to die based on Rules but ngl I yearn for the fic where he has to live with what he's done

is no one going to ever find out that poor crown prince kid was drugged into murder. it doesn't excuse all his shitty behavior but still. drugged into murder is a pretty big deal

in the fic where luo zishang lives, I want to dive into the messed up relationship he has with liu yuru as both her beloved childhood friend and the the person who brought her so much misery

also the whole "i started the fire" thing. lmao lzs can turn good again by the power of bdsm since he so clearly wants to be punished

is anyone gonna give my man zhou ye a hug. I was rooting for his adorable romance the whole way through and they deserved better 😭😭😭

one thing that’s never as acknowledged as it could be is that no matter what Elena/Bonnie and Tyler’s lives were always going to be connected to the supernatural world. No matter who did or did not come into town it was their lives.

Tyler’s level of protectiveness towards Elena could’ve been something so interesting. Tyler is casted to the side but one constant thing (outside of Caroline or Klaus mess) remains is that softness and refusal to let Elena be hurt because they were friends. Imagine if some of that went to Bonnie too!

Elena is written very Salvatore centered and so disconnected from her friends but her best moment imo is when she’s laughing/smiling with her friends celebrating a Klaus free life with them. In fact it’s one of MFG’s best moments together. Even in s1-2 she shown to be compassionate to her friends.

So many of Bonnie’s deleted scenes is simply someone else showing they care about her and see her. Being a Bennett was going to hold weight to her life. Show someone else trying to empathize with that.

It’s just… why couldn’t the mfg be shown being friends a little longer. Impact the importance of the other two bloodlines whose descendants were destined to be affected.

I cant tell people what to think, really, but I feel like Caitlyn or Vi ‘deserving’ each other is such a simple way of thinking lmao. I don’t really know how to explain it, but I think it all comes back to fitting characters into categories of good and bad.

Vi isn’t all good and Caitlyn isn’t all bad, nor do they live in a vacuum where Circumstances™️ don’t affect them as people, so who’s to say who deserves who and who doesn’t?

Caitlyn and Vi will undoubtedly end up in each other’s crossfires, for sure. I want to say they won’t hurt each other, but I will say (realistically) it will probably happen, just not maliciously or completely on purpose.

I haven’t watched season two yet lmao so I can’t say whether I do want Cait and Vi to end up together (FROM A S1 PERSPECTIVE: PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEA-), but I don’t feel like we live in a universe where they wont and people are just gonna have to deal with that, lol 🤷🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️

I think a very modern (and dare I even say heteronormative…) way of thinking is to have the prize and to have the… less than that, in a relationship and with how messy (and again GRAY cause we keep needing to have this conversation apparently) quite literally every character is, I don’t know if we’ll ever get that.

you know what guys. after this whole thing goes down, i hope we get the ACTUAL kamiyama school festival and it is a very good comparison to the first one. where we can see clearly how much mizuki has grown since that first event in january 2021, since that first school festival in middle school.

and i hope mizuki gets to have fun with her friends and can hang out with ena. and i hope ena has fun too. i hope she gets to tease akito, forge bonds with her classmates at the fried squid stall, and hopefully get roped into a dumb show with the oddballs 1 2. i hope this is ena’s pandemonium. i hope we all can have a little bit of joy and whimsy while getting to see how much the gang’s lives have changed at this point.

and i hope rui is a little worried for mizuki — i sincerely hope he is somewhere in mizu5, quietly waiting by the rooftop like he always has for her. but by the end of the schoolfes event he can look at mizuki, her whole face bright as all eight students in our little kamikou main cast gang come down from the rooftop (for one last time maybe, but we don’t talk about graduation in front of rui… unless ofc we bring it up this event) and he can say “you’ve come such a long way, haven’t you, mizuki? i’m happy for you.”
