pretty in pink - p.b
‣ paige bueckers x reader!
‣ wc: 2835
‣‣ synopsis: your longtime (not so secret) girlfriend surprises you by dying her hair your favorite color! takes place before and on july 22nd (aka paige's sneakity peakity live). literally just tooth-rotting fluff and a little kissing!
‣‣‣ a/n: this is the fic that won in the poll (i'm not surprised y'all chose paige) but the next one i have scheduled to release is one of the nika ones! hopefully i'll be more consistent with writing in these next few weeks before school starts.
On your way home after a very successful meeting planning out the beginning of the uconn women's basketball team season, especially with media days and pressers, there was only one thing that could've made your night better. The presence of your beloved girlfriend, Paige Bueckers.
You and Paige had started dating in the middle of her junior year and your sophomore year, but that's not to say the two of you weren't harboring feelings for a while before that. Being one of the team photographers had allowed you to spend a lot of time with the uconn wbb team on and off the court, and you were very close with basically all of the players, especially Azzi.
Being in Azzi's year meant that she was the first person you connected with, having two classes with her outside of basketball definitely helped your relationship as well.
So it was nothing less of a delight to her when she would often catch your gaze lingering on her other best friend, Paige Bueckers, for just a second too long at games or certain practices you were called to take shots of.
As little did you know, she had caught on to the fact that Paige bore a huge crush on the pretty photographer who always got the best shots of her, came to check up on her before both her meniscus and acl surgeries and stayed with her multiple nights afterwards, and to top it all off, always gifting her the cutest bouquets of her favorite purple flowers.
She only put up with the two of you respectively complaining to her about your ever-consuming feelings for three ish months, before finally setting the two of you up to privately confess in your hotel room on Christmas Eve after an easy dub for UConn.
After a few shedded tears, excited giggles, slight teasing, and searing kisses, the two of you made it official, not telling anyone on the team, except Azzi of course, until around Valentine's Day, and still keeping it on the down low from the media, but you often joined Paige as her plus one to events pertaining to and outside basketball.
And unfortunately for the two of you lovestruck fools, you weren't the most discreet when making heart eyes at each other. The fans were not oblivious to the way Paige would look for you before, during, and after games, the fact that majority of your best photography was of Paige, and your friendly, but all too coupley sweet, interactions.
With this shipping, of course, came a huge following and obsessed, loving fan base for you and Paige. Fans ate up the aesthetic posts that graced your instagram feed, your occasional but always viral tiktoks, and your carefully curated list of public playlists on spotify and apple music (some that fans noticed had paige's favorite songs on).
And yet, you never outright addressed the rumors, despite your tiktok reposts hinting at the fact that you were dating someone, and small sly remarks occasionally dropped on KK's live hinting at your taken status, you and Paige had never found the need to publicly announce your relationship, reveling in the privacy you two were able to maintain while (badly) keeping it a secret.
That is, up until about a month ago. With the difficult conversation of whether Paige would enter the draft or stay another year at UConn, the possibility of long distance and what the future of your relationship would look like, you and Paige decided that you would make the most out of the last year you had together at university, and that included being able to publicly love up on your girlfriend.
Though you had never decided when and how to announce your relationship, agreeing that you would just go with the flow when it seemed right, Paige had a different idea in mind at how to hard launch your relationship to the rest of the world.
A random KK Arnold live in the middle of your junior year
"Y/n/n, the live wants to see more of you. They just can't get enough of you girly pop, they in loveeee," KK sang out, knowing the reason you so scarcely appeared on her lives was the fact that you were just a little camera shy, not used to constantly being in front of the media like the girls on the team were.
"KK I'm literally bare-faced in pajamas," you whispered from behind the camera, scratching the side of your face as you glanced at Paige sitting next to her.
"Girl boo, ain't no one care. You look good either way, just come say hi to the fans," she insisted, trying to ease you out your shell. Everyone on the team knew what an outgoing social butterfly you were, but social media had always intimidated you to a certain extent, which is why you preferred being behind the camera rather than in front of it.
You glanced at Paige again, who nodded encouragingly and scooted to the side, opening a space for you to take a seat between the two girls.
You sighed as you made your way to the couch, sitting criss-crossed between the two basketball players as KK's arm immediately swung to rest around your shoulders, happily introducing you to her live.
"Y'all if you don't know Miss Y/N, you should. She's our little camera girl and gets us right, EVERY TIME. I don't know if I can allow her to leave after next year because she's the only person out here that actually gets my angles right. Plus, we all in her little bougie apartment right now, y'all don't understand that she lives better than all of us here," You smiled at KK's rambling, she was one of the younger girls you had a particular soft spot for, and she always referred to you and Paige as her parents with how close you guys were.
"Okay so boom, let's do a little q and a with y/n so y'all can get to know who she is. You ready?" She turned to you, fake holding an imaginary mic in her hand as she got ready to "interview" you.
"Well if the fans want to know, who am I to say no?" You shrugged, loosening up a little with how infectious KK's energy was.
"Okay bars, let's start off with what the people want to know," she scanned over the influx of comments coming in to the livestream, picking out a few before turning back to you.
"Easy one first since apparently no one here pays attention to what I say, who are you and why do you know us?" She side-eyed the camera, pretending to be annoyed that people didn't listen to her explanation the first time. Paige sat silently next to you, doing her best to not stare at you lovingly on camera, knowing how intricately fans analyzed any of your interactions together.
"I'm y/n l/n and I'm one of the photographers for the women's basketball team. Have been since I was a freshman, and I don't plan on leaving anytime soon, so y'all are stuck with me," you proceeded to stick your tongue out at Aubrey, who was all the way in the edge of the live's background, but still visible as she pretended to choke herself at the mention of you staying for the next two years.
"Anyways, hmmm," you leaned in to the camera slightly, reading over the questions to find an appropriate one to answer.
"Oh my favorite color, that's literally one of the easiest questions ever. Pink, no doubt about it. I have so many pink things in my apartment."
"Someone said, you should give a little pink tour, you could show them your like matcha station thing and your bedroom, it's like a unicorn threw up pink in there. Plus all your little stuffed animals," KK joked, making fun of your obsession with the color.
"Maybe next time guys, going straight to the bedroom the first time we meet is crazyyy," you teased, inciting laughter from multiple of the girls lounging around you living room.
"Yo chilll," Paige quipped, gently tapping your knee with the back of her hand as she smirked up at you from her slouched position against your couch cushions.
You raised an eyebrow at her teasingly, giggling as you break off her gaze to return your attention back to the live.
"Which one of your stuffed animals is your favorite? Okay so for the most part they're all Jellycats, or like the weighted dinosaurs from Target, but my favorite by far is my little Jellycat bouquet of flowers, it's the cutest thing I’ve ever been gifted," You smiled, excited to talk about a part of your life that the viewers didn't know was about Paige.
When you first came to UConn, you only brought one stuffed animal with you from your vast childhood collection at home, the little pink bunny from Jellycat. But over the past three years, your college collection had grown solely due to the gifts Paige bought you, knowing how much you loved having those parts of her at night when she couldn't make it for some reason or was at away games you weren't scheduled for.
You continued to scan over the comments, doing your best to bite back a smile at the ones freaking out over you and Paige. You were used to it by now, but the thrill of secrecy never failed to make your heart race.
Back to present
Walking up to the steps of your apartment, you had no clue what surprise Paige had prepared for you, as you weren't expecting her to fly back until tomorrow. But when Brittany had called Paige to discuss the game plan for the teams upcoming shoot with a semi permanent hair dye brand, Paige immediately knew the perfect surprise to greet you with after your long separation due to her “world tour”.
Originally, the two of you were supposed to travel together, using the trip as a hard launch, but after some last minute issues with your time off with work and the busy schedule they crammed onto you, you decided it would be best to stay back while Paige enjoyed her solo tour, even though it was far from easy.
The two of you were constantly texting and calling whenever you found a spare minute in your busy days, and it was the only thing keeping you sane the last two weeks. And when you said constantly texting, you meant it.
And apparently, even Paige's friends recognized how down bad she was without you, after Flaujae exposed her for cheesing at her phone while texting you at the WNBA All-Star game, which you immediately found out about by the influx of comments tagging you, questioning if you were the person responsible. You were, of course, but they didn't need to know that. At least for now, to your knowledge at least.
Opening the door to your apartment, you set your shoes down on the neat rack you had set up, hanging up your keys on the wall above it as you made your way to your bedroom, unsuspecting as to what awaited you.
"Oh my god," you shrieked, processing the sight that greeted you as you reached right outside the door frame, mouth agape as your eyes took in the figure perched by the edge of your neatly made, pink bed, grinning at your shocked expression.
"Paige what the fuck, oh my god. You're here, you're pink, what the hell," you exclaimed hurriedly, rushing into your room to envelop your girlfriend in a tight hug, wrapping your arms around her neck as she encircled your waist.
She couldn't help but laugh at your reaction, angling her head up from your stomach so she could speak directly to you.
"Hey baby, you like it?" She grinned, pleased with the way your night was about to play out.
"You're so pink what the hell, when did you even find time to do this?" You questioned, running your fingers through her freshly dyed pink hair, in awe of the way your girlfriend could pull off just literally any look.
"Right before I left LA, figured if I was gonna dye my hair for the shoot I might as well make it my girl's favorite color yeah? But like, it looks good right?"
You raised an eyebrow at her not so subtle dig at you not answering her question, needing the validation from you to approve her new look.
You thought about your response for a second, going back and forth between teasing her a little, just to pull on her leg for shits and giggles, or just fawning over her the way you've been dying to do since she left the warmth of your embrace.
But, inevitable your longing to shower her in compliments and kisses overpowered any need to pester her, and it clearly showed on your face as your mouth broke out in a wide smile.
"You look so pretty baby. On God. Literally the most beautiful girlfriend ever," you gushed, tucking the front pieces of her hair behind her ears so you could take a look at her new piercings as well.
You had quite a few ear piercings from when you were bored in high school, the glint of gold jewelry along your ear almost always prominent since you wore majority of the earrings 24/7, and Paige would be lying if she said her piercings weren’t slightly inspired by yours.
“And these as well?” You teased, referring to her helix and seconds. “So sexy, truly P,” you nodded at her, grinning wide as you leaned down for a kiss.
You sighed against Paige’s lips, forgoing the teasing demeanor you held as you felt the craving for her subside, eager to finally have her back in your arms. Your mouth moved hungrily against hers, using one hand to grasp at her jaw and the other at the base of her neck, holding her tight in a desperate attempt to re-memorize the taste of her lips.
Paige’s grip on your waist tightened, before one hand left to travel down to your ass, playfully smacking your left cheek before grabbing onto the fat to pull you in closer to her, her intentions to drag you onto the bed next to her clear.
You whined as you broke away from her kiss, resisting her attempt to pull you down as you pouted down at her.
“No outside clothes on the bed Paige, I need to go shower first,” you insisted, rubbing your thumb against her cheek.
“You know lucky for me I have quite a bit of free time right now, and an extra shower never hurt anybody,” she quipped back, unwilling to separate from your presence now that she finally had you.
“Yeah?” You smirked, grabbing her hand as you led her outside your room and into the bathroom across the hall.
The Next Day; UConn women’s locker room (i think?)
You glanced up from your phone, watching as Paige moved around the locker room, posing with Ice, Azzi, Morgan, and Carol, setting her phone lower so the camera couldn't see anyone but her.
She raised her eyebrow at you questioningly, silently asking whether you wanted to be shown on the live from your seat in the corner of the locker.
You nodded at her, beckoning her over to sit next to you as you set your phone down, smiling at her as she made her way over to you.
“Since y’all wanna know why I chose pink, thought it was obvious but apparently not,”
She extended her arm outwards so that both of your bodies could easily fit in the frame of the camera.
“You know I had to make it my girl’s favorite color, now all that’s left is for y/n to do hers purple,” She glanced at you out of the corner of her eye, making sure you were okay with how easily she referred to you as “her girl” in front of the thousands of viewers.
“Just cause you look pretty in pink does not mean I’m dying my hair purple Paige, I can’t pull all that off like you can baby,” you flirted shamelessly, running your fingers through your hair as you smirked at the blush that rose to her cheeks at your very public display.
“Aight not too much now,” She rose from her seat, patting your thigh off camera as she walked over to Brittany, cheesing and blushing hard as she avoided looking down at the camera until she posed with Brittany, smiling as her eyes skimmed over the flood of shocked and astonished comments regarding your relationship.
“Yeah that’s my girl, what ‘bout it?”
Let’s just say following Paige’s live and your respective hard launch posts on instagram, your phone has never and probably will never again experience such a quick and constant rush of notifications over the span of four days.
a/n: hope y'all enjoyed!!

ALWAYS YOU ⌇타박상
pairing ᝰ jungwon x fem!reader — featuring.. hyuka mentioned | word count: 2.7k+
⌇ … warnings & genre ↺ fluff, angst, school au, misunderstandings, bullying, physical fights not between reader and jw, bruises mentioned, kissing, cussing.
synopsis — after a misunderstanding two years ago you have lived your school life in solitude. At least you tried too but yang jungwon just won't give up! will he continue to cling to you or will another misunderstanding take him away?
lee's ₊˚⊹ ᰔ comment ┊I really loved writing this :( I can't seem to write fics without misunderstandings lol.. I'm also trying to write longer fics slowly, I can't believe I wrote 2.7k words I got carried away.. also tysm to my moots and non-moots! the reblogs and comments make me giggle :)
For a girl who barely spoke a word, you had a reputation that clung to you like a shadow—dark, persistent, and nearly impossible to shake. Around the school, your name was passed around in hushed tones, tethered to stories people wouldn’t normally want attached to their identity.
The rumors swirled, painting a picture of you that wasn’t entirely fair, but you never bothered to correct them. The “incident” two years ago was the foundation to all of this— a fight you didn’t start but somehow took all the blame for, thanks to a girl who played the victim flawlessly in front of a crowd. From that day on, you were the one to avoid. And you didn’t mind. Solitude came easier than the tangled mess of trying to prove yourself innocent.
But, of course, there was one person who clinged to you despite of all of this.
Yang Jungwon.
The boy who seemed oblivious to the rumors. The one person who approached you time and time again. He was everything you weren’t—loved by everyone, a model student, and the poster child for perfection. So why, of all people, did he keep showing up like right now?
“Hey, Y/N, what are you up to?”
Jungwon’s familiar voice broke through your concentration, and before you could react, he was leaning over your shoulder to peek at your notes. His smile was so casual, like he belonged there, completely ignoring the bubble of isolation you carefully maintained.
You nearly jumped out of your seat, glancing around frantically to ensure no one else noticed him. “Go away, Jungwon,” you hissed, your voice low but firm.
Instead of leaving, he sighed dramatically and walked around the table, dropping into the chair across from you. “Why? Are you waiting for a friend?”
You gave him a sharp, unimpressed look, one that he immediately understood.
“Right, sorry,” he said, rubbing the back of his neck with an apologetic smile. For a moment, he looked genuinely sheepish, but then his expression brightened like he’d just remembered something important. “Oh! I had something to ask you.”
You raised a skeptical eyebrow. “Ask me, and then go away.”
His grin widened, and for some reason, you didn’t like the look in his eyes. “Do you have a partner for the Valentine’s Day event?”
At first, the words didn’t fully register. You stared at him blankly, too preoccupied with figuring out why he was even sitting here. But the second it clicked, you choked on your breath, launching into a fit of loud coughing.
When you finally recovered, you stared at him in disbelief. “Jungwon, are you crazy?” you whisper-yelled, leaning closer to ensure no one overheard. “You do realize that’s for couples, right?”
His reaction was unreadable. His throat bobbed as he gulped, and his gaze dropped to the papers scattered in front of you. “Oh? Is it? I didn’t notice… My bad.”
His voice was soft, his words almost too casual, but the faint pout tugging at his lips gave him away. Without waiting for your reply, he stood abruptly. “Well, sorry for bothering you.”
And just like that, he walked away, leaving you frozen in place.
Your mind raced, replaying the scene over and over again. There was no way Jungwon didn’t know. He was on the committee that planned these kinds of events. He had to have known.
“He’s so irritating,” you muttered under your breath, shaking your head and trying to refocus on your notes.
But even as you went back to studying, you couldn’t ignore the warmth creeping up your neck, the undeniable heat spreading across your face.
Not even two hours later, you were at the same spot.
The library was quieter than usual that afternoon, with only the occasional rustle of pages and soft whispers floating in the air. You had taken refuge in your favorite corner by the window, hoping for some peace after the strange interaction with Jungwon earlier.
But, as if on cue, a shadow fell across your table. Again.
“Hey,” came his familiar voice, soft but somehow still startling.
You looked up, already narrowing your eyes. “What now, Jungwon? Seriously you don't take a hint.”
He raised his hands in mock surrender, a playful grin tugging at his lips. “Relax. I come in peace.”
You weren’t convinced, but you knew he wouldn’t go away. To your surprise, instead of hovering or leaning over your shoulder like earlier, he pulled out a chair and sat down next to you this time, placing a small brown paper bag on the table.
“What’s that?” you asked, nodding toward it suspiciously.
He slid it toward you. “An apology.”
“For?”
“For, you know, earlier. Asking you something dumb and making it weird.” He avoided your gaze, scratching the back of his neck like he always did when he was nervous.
Curiosity got the better of you, and you opened the bag to find a small container of chocolate-covered strawberries inside. Your eyebrows shot up. “You bribing me with food now?”
“Is it working?”
You rolled your eyes, trying to keep a blank face but a small smile tugged at the corners of your lips before you could stop it. “You’re ridiculous.”
“I’ll take that as a yes,” he said, leaning back in his chair with a satisfied expression.
For a few moments, the two of you sat in an unexpected but comfortable silence. The sunlight streaming through the window cast a golden glow over his features, and you hated how your eyes lingered on him longer than they should.
“So,” he began, breaking the quiet, “why do you keep pushing people away?”
His question was so abrupt, it caught you completely off guard. Your head snapped up, and you stared at him, wide-eyed. “Excuse me?”
“I mean,” he said quickly as if trying to soften the blow, “you’re smart, funny—well when you’re not threatening to kill me—and honestly, you’re kind of cool. But you keep everyone at arm’s length. Why?”
You blinked, unsure how to respond. No one had ever asked you that. Not like this. Not with genuine curiosity in their voice.
“Surely you've heard things about me by now,” you said finally, your tone clipped as you looked away.
Jungwon seemed confused with your answer, but he didn’t push. Instead, he reached across the table and tapped the edge of your notebook. “Mm. I don’t think I have, tell me? Maybe?.”
You frowned, meeting his gaze. His eyes held something you couldn’t quite place—something soft, warm, and persistent.
“You should just stay away,” you muttered, trying to dismiss the subject.
“Don't do that…” he said, his voice quieter now, almost tender.
You opened your mouth to reply, but no words came out. Because the truth was, you didn’t know what to say.
Jungwon leaned back in his chair, a small smile playing on his lips. “Well, for what it’s worth, I’m not going anywhere. So, you’re stuck with me, whether you like it or not.”
You scoffed, shaking your head, but you couldn’t stop the warmth blooming in your chest—or the way your heart betrayed you with its quickened pace. “You’re such an idiot for a top student,” you mumbled, but the words lacked their usual bite.
Jungwon only grinned, his eyes sparkling with something that made your stomach flip. “Yeah? Do you like idiots?.”
And for the first time, you didn’t have a comeback.
The gym field buzzed with activity, laughter, and the rhythmic pounding of feet against the track. Today was the outside gym event—a day you had been dreading for weeks.
As you trudged toward your assigned group, whispers followed you like a persistent echo. You tuned them out, keeping your head low until the coach’s voice rang out like a firecracker.
“Alright, this activity requires duos! Everyone, find a partner and line up!”
Panic surged through you as you looked around. Pairs were forming fast—friends clasping arms, strangers locking eyes and nodding. Everyone but you. It didn’t take long for the coach to notice you standing there, alone and staring at the ground.
“Ah, Kai is absent,” he muttered, scanning the field. “Jungwon! Over here!”
Your head snapped up at the name.
Jungwon jogged over from the track, his face glistening with sweat but still managing to beam like it was the best day of his life.
“Hey, Coach, what’s up?”
“We need you to partner with L/N for this activity. Can’t do it solo.”
Jungwon’s gaze flickered to you, and almost immediately, he grinned. “Sure thing.”
Shit.” You said under your breath.
He made his way to you, his grin never faltering, though his breath came in short bursts. “Hey, Y/N. Ready to crush this thing?”
You sighed, still refusing to meet his eyes. “You should’ve said no.”
The whispers around you grew louder now, all focused on the odd pairing of you and Jungwon. You knew this wasn’t good for him—not for someone as well-liked as he was.
Jungwon, oblivious to—or maybe just indifferent to—the stares, shrugged casually. “Why would I do that? Can’t let you be on your own.”
His words made you glance up at him. His ears were red, and he was pointedly not looking at you. You assumed it was just from his earlier run. Before you could retort, the coach strode over, handing out supplies.
“Alright, teams, grab your bag and rope for the duo beanbag relay!”
Jungwon’s face lit up with amusement as he looked at the gear, and then at you.
“Oh,” he said, the corners of his mouth twitching into a mischievous smile. “This is gonna be fun.”
You could already feel the awkwardness seeping in as the realization dawned on both of you. The proximity was about to get really awkward.
As expected, you and Jungwon lost. Not because of Jungwon, but because of the proximity between you two. The way his hand rested over your shoulder for momentum, the way he whispered in your ear to calm your anxiousness, and the constant stares and murmurs from everyone around you—it was too much. It all ended with both of you falling at the last minute due to your distractions.
When the event ended, you bolted from the crowd, heading to the courtyard to be alone.
You felt like crying. That was so embarrassing—not just for you, but for Jungwon too. What would people say about him? Would his reputation be affected because of you?
You didn’t stop running until you found a water fountain tucked away in solitude. Brushing the strands of hair from your face, you leaned over to drink. Just as you felt the cool water hit your lips, you heard footsteps behind you. You turned around quickly.
“What the hell was that pitiful shitshow?”
Of course. It was Jungwon’s so-called fan club—a group of delusional girls who were utterly infatuated with him.
You muttered a curse under your breath, already knowing what was about to happen. “Not now.”
The leader of the group scoffed, turning briefly to her posse for approval. “We’ve told you time and time again to stay away from Jungwon. And now you injure him because you couldn’t run a few yards? Do you think I’m a fucking joke?”
You stared at her with a plain, uninterested expression. “I told you, I want nothing to do with him.”
She smirked mockingly. “Right… sure. One more chance, or you’ll regret it,” she said, turning to leave.
Something about her words struck a nerve. The way she thought she could control him—or anyone, for that matter—was too much for you. You couldn’t hold back.
“You’d think after all this time you’d stop being delusional and get yourself a real boyfriend.”
She stopped in her tracks and turned to face you, her expression morphing from shock to rage. Before you could react, she lunged at you with a punch.
Instinctively, you defended yourself and fought back. Within moments, students turned the corner and formed a circle around you, chanting and screaming.
You were so focused on the fight that you didn’t notice Jungwon pushing through the crowd until he and a few others separated you from the girl.
When your vision cleared, you realized how battered she looked. You hadn’t even noticed the stinging pain in your own hands and face, still numbed by the adrenaline. Looking up, you expected to see anger on Jungwon’s face, but instead, his eyes were filled with sadness and worry.
He grabbed your hand, ignoring the whistles and murmurs behind you as he pulled you away.
You didn’t say anything as he led you toward the infirmary. You didn’t need to—your thoughts were loud enough. You knew what was coming. He was going to be angry. He was going to misunderstand you, just like everyone else. He was going to leave you, like everyone else.
When you reached the infirmary, Jungwon guided you to a bed. “Sit and wait,” he said curtly.
You obeyed, glancing at him briefly before turning your attention to your bruised hands. As you brought them closer to inspect the cuts, you winced at the burning sensation.
Jungwon returned with supplies and sat beside you, placing them down. He was quiet, his face unreadable, and the tension was unbearable. You hated this. You hated how upset he seemed.
And yet, you hated yourself more—for pushing him away for so long, for the possibility that he might finally leave. The thought of never seeing him pop up at your desk unannounced, hearing his one-sided conversations in the library or even his stupid flirty remarks was enough to make your eyes well up.
Before you could stop yourself, tears spilled down your cheeks.
Jungwon looked up from cleaning your knuckles, his eyes widening at the sight of your tears. “Y/N? Hey, what’s wrong?”
You didn’t answer, unable to speak through the sobs.
Setting the supplies aside, he cupped your face gently, his thumbs brushing away the tears. “Why are you crying, gorgeous?”
You blinked up at him, your voice trembling. “I’m so sorry. I swear, she—it wasn’t me, I promise.” Your sobs grew louder, breaking his heart further.
Jungwon’s chest tightened as he took a tissue and wiped your face. “I know it wasn’t you,” he whispered softly.
Your head snapped up, meeting his gaze. “What?”
He smiled faintly and continued tending to your injuries. “I was there from the beginning. I saw her hit you first.”
You stared at him in shock, his words sinking in.
After a moment of silence, he spoke again, his voice tinged with frustration and concern. “I also heard about what happened two years ago. About all the things you’ve been through since. Why didn’t you tell me? I would’ve helped you.”
You looked away, guilt washing over you. “Nobody believed me. Why would you?”
Jungwon froze for a moment, then tilted your chin up to meet his gaze. “I’ve always believed in you. From the moment we met—it’s always been you.”
His words left you breathless. For the first time, you wondered if it was finally time to stop running. To stop hiding from what you wanted. You watched him as he took care of you gently, maybe you doubted him.
You were dragged out of your thoughts when he locked eyes with you. The air between you shifted, charged with something unspoken. Jungwon leaned forward, closing the gap, and kissed you gently. You were too shocked to respond at first, but soon, you let go of your fears and kissed him back.
It felt foreign but right. He held you carefully like if he was afraid you’ll go. The room was quiet with just the sighs and soft breathing from the both of you.
When he pulled away, his eyes were full of affection. “How about we hop over the fence and go somewhere hm? Just us.”
You laughed, hitting his shoulder lightly. “You? Skipping school? Don’t make me laugh.”
BONUS 𝜗𝜚˚⋆
After the fall, Jungwon watched you run off, his instinct to follow immediately thwarted by the crowd gathering around him.
People offered him water and words of praise, but his attention shifted when he overheard a conversation nearby.
“I bet she did that on purpose. Ha, what a bitch.”
Jungwon’s head snapped toward the source of the comment, his jaw tightening. “What did you just say?”
The boy hesitated, startled, but eventually smirked. “Y/N. I mean, everyone knows about her, right? Acts tough, but I bet she’s just a slut looking for attention.”
Before he could think, Jungwon punched the guy, the crack of his fist silencing the crowd.
Ignoring the shocked gasps around him, Jungwon turned and bolted in the direction you had gone. His heart pounded, not just from the run but from the overwhelming need to find you.
He needed you to know. No matter what anyone said or what happened next, his choice would always be you.

Ken Sato x Fem!Reader ︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶︶꒦꒷♡꒷꒦︶
The day dawned with a sense of excitement and anticipation. Valentine’s Day meant a lot this year, as it marked the first official date for Y/N and Ken since they had started seeing each other. They both had carefully thought-out plans for the day, each hoping to surprise the other with what they believed would be a perfect day together. But what started as a promising day quickly took a series of unexpected—and comically disastrous—turns.
As Y/N stepped outside, she was greeted by gray clouds rolling ominously across the sky, a sharp contrast to the clear skies promised in the forecast. She frowned slightly but waved the worry aside. After all, she had prepared for weeks, and a little cloud cover couldn’t ruin their day. As she waited on the steps, Ken pulled up in his car, looking dapper yet understated in his usual way. His faint smile greeted her, and she felt warmth rush through her. She smiled back, feeling her cheeks heat as she climbed into the car.
They exchanged shy greetings, each slightly nervous but excited for the day ahead. Ken cleared his throat as he pulled away from her house. “So, I thought we’d start with a quiet picnic by the lake,” he said, glancing at her with a look of quiet anticipation.
“That sounds wonderful!” she said with a grin, her mind already picturing the idyllic scene he must have planned. She felt a twinge of happiness at the thoughtfulness behind his plans. Around them, the city was bustling with Valentine’s Day spirit; couples were walking arm in arm along the sidewalks, vendors were selling roses and chocolates on the corners, and the sound of cheerful conversation filled the air.
They reached the lakeside park, only for the sky to grow darker and the first few drops of rain to start falling. The raindrops hit the windshield in a soft but insistent rhythm. Ken and Y/N looked at each other, trying to hold back laughter at the sudden turn of events.
“We should probably head back to the car,” Ken suggested, already holding up an umbrella he found in the back seat as they stepped out. But before they could make it back to the car, the clouds unleashed a torrential downpour, drenching them both. They sprinted back, laughing as they dodged puddles and the wind tried to wrestle the umbrella from Ken’s grip.
Once back in the car, Ken shook his head with a playful sigh. “Well, that was…unexpected.”
Y/N, still catching her breath, couldn’t help but laugh. “It’s all part of the fun, right?”
The laughter bubbling between them made it clear that despite the mishap, they were both still determined to make the best of it. With their picnic plans ruined, Ken suggested a last-minute detour to a small, elegant restaurant he’d heard about, known for its Valentine’s Day charm. As they drove through the city streets, Y/N took in the vibrant sights around them—bouquets of roses in shop windows, couples waiting in lines at cafes, and musicians serenading passersby with love songs on every other corner. A young street performer caught her eye, strumming a guitar and singing a romantic ballad, his voice drawing small crowds.
They eventually arrived at the restaurant, but their hopeful smiles quickly faded when they saw a “Closed for Private Event” sign hanging on the door.
Ken chuckled, shaking his head in disbelief. “I guess it’s just not our day.”
Y/N grinned, nudging his arm. “It’s fine, Ken. Honestly, this is way more fun than a boring, predictable Valentine’s Day.” Her optimism was infectious, and Ken found himself smiling, appreciating her ability to turn even the smallest setbacks into something light-hearted.
As they stood by the curb, considering what to do next, Y/N spotted a boat rental dock not far down the road. A few couples were loading onto the boats, and the sight of the gentle lake beyond, now misted with rain, seemed irresistibly romantic. Y/N’s eyes sparkled with excitement.
“Let’s do that!” she said, pointing toward the dock. Ken followed her gaze, a bit hesitant but unable to resist her enthusiasm. They made their way over and rented a small rowboat, bundling under a blanket they found onboard. The lake was peaceful, with mist hovering over the water and the distant sounds of laughter echoing as other couples enjoyed their rides. Y/N closed her eyes, letting the soft rocking of the boat relax her.
But the tranquility was short-lived. A large white swan glided over, initially graceful and serene, its beady eyes fixed on them. Ken and Y/N exchanged wary glances as the bird approached, its wings flaring.
“Ken…” Y/N whispered, clutching his arm as the swan got closer.
Ken grinned, trying to downplay his concern. “Maybe it just wants to say hello.”
But it quickly became clear that this swan had no friendly intentions. It honked loudly, startling them, then lunged at the boat, wings flapping wildly. Y/N yelped, leaning back as the swan tried to peck at her jacket, and in the struggle, she accidentally tipped the boat’s edge too far. With a startled cry, she fell backward and splashed into the cold lake.
Ken gasped, reaching out to pull her up. Nearby couples turned to watch, some hiding amused smiles while others looked genuinely concerned. “Oh no, is she okay?” one woman whispered to her partner, clutching his arm in concern. Another couple even took out their phones, recording the unexpected spectacle.
Ken managed to haul Y/N back into the boat, both of them drenched and now laughing uncontrollably. Y/N’s cheeks flushed red, partly from the embarrassment and partly from the chill of the lake water, but Ken’s warm smile reassured her.
“Worst Valentine’s Day yet?” he teased, his gaze soft and playful.
Y/N shook her head, her laughter barely contained. “Maybe the most memorable,” she admitted, pulling his jacket tighter around herself.
After drying off and regaining some warmth, they found a quaint little bistro nearby and decided to finish their night there. The restaurant was packed, filled with the rich aroma of Italian food and the hum of quiet conversation, clinking glasses, and soft jazz playing from a speaker in the corner. A waiter led them to a table near a cozy fireplace, where couples around them were enjoying candlelit dinners.
Just as they started to eat, they felt a slight rumbling in the air—a warning of sorts. Ken gave Y/N a confused look, and just then, the fire alarm blared, and the sprinkler system overhead burst to life, drenching them and everyone else in the restaurant.
A mix of shrieks and laughter erupted around the room, as couples either held their hands over their meals or leaned into the absurdity, chuckling with their dates. Ken and Y/N sat in stunned silence for a moment, water dripping down their faces, before breaking into laughter again. Ken grabbed a napkin, trying to shield her from the water, but she just shook her head, laughing harder. Around them, the bistro became a lively scene of soaked diners exchanging amused glances, servers rushing around with towels, and friends snapping photos to remember the chaotic evening.
As the sprinkler system finally stopped, Ken reached across the table and took her hand, his eyes softening. He let his thumb brush gently over her knuckles, and her laughter faded as she met his gaze.
“Thank you,” he said, his voice low and sincere, “for making this day unforgettable. Even if nothing went according to plan.”
Y/N’s heart swelled as she squeezed his hand. “I wouldn’t change a single thing,” she murmured, a warm smile spreading across her face.
They walked outside into the cool night air, and as they stood beneath the city lights, Ken gently brushed a damp strand of hair from her cheek. Without a word, he leaned in, his hand settling softly against her jaw, his thumb brushing her skin as he closed the small gap between them.
The first kiss was soft, delicate, a gentle meeting of lips as if testing the waters. Y/N’s eyes fluttered closed as her heart raced, and the world around them seemed to blur, the noises of the bustling city fading into the background. As they pulled back, she opened her eyes to find him smiling, and for the first time all night, everything felt perfectly right.

pairing: satoru gojo x reader
notes: the way i was bawling my eyes out for the new jjk ep that came out today whilst also trying to simultaneously stay happy for my husband’s birthday. had to distract myself, so here’s my gojo!birthday post! enjoyyy <33
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。. .・。.・゜✭・.・
certain events were taken very seriously in your household. it would be extremely unnatural if you missed something as simple as the first day back to school or the last day of school, even.
to be fair, as much excitement as you held for little events such as those, your partner’s excitement was enough to accustom every other member of your house (there were three of you, excluding satoru gojo).
seriously: he had only recently thrown a child-like tantrum because you’d forgotten the anniversary of your first sparring session three years ago — who even remembers shit like that? what happened to the normal, memorable events like valentines day, mothers day, or fathers day?
or birthdays.
now that was one you took extremely seriously. that was one you’d understand if satoru threw a tantrum over forgetting something as important as the day commemorating the year the world turned upside down by the birth of satoru gojo himself (it would have been nice if you were given a warning — putting up with him was forced labour, you firmly believe that you deserve to be paid).
and getting a gift for satoru was easy as pie. the man was so full of sunshines and daisies that he accepted nearly everything. it came to a point where you’d been under the impression that he was simply pretending for your sake, that you tried giving him one of nanami’s weird old pointed shoes during his 17th. needless to say, he was not pretending to like your gifts, and that was proven very well when the strongest sorcerer in the world held up the pair in one large hand, teary eyed with his lips wobbling.
drama queen, you thought in your head.
this year, you had much planned: the dinner table where you usually forbid a number of more than four candies or sweets were now filled with enough to diagnose him with diabetes and at least twenty cavities.
that was not all.
sometime last month, satoru had bought a pretty, blue dress for tsumiki (no special occasion, it was ‘speaking’ to him, apparently — his words, not yours) but it ended up being a size too small. you, wisely, suggested returning it, but the idiot came up with something… unique.
“just let megumi wear it!” he’d said with a giant grin.
megumi did not take that too well. despite the fact that you were already on his side, scolding satoru for constantly teasing the innocent boy, megumi had run back into your shared bedroom and returned with one of your own pretty blue dresses.
satoru looked down at him, his opaque, round glasses slipping down the bridge of his nose to reveal his scarily-blue eyes.
“oh?” he’d said, brows raised. “i mean i see why you’d want to wear that one, but —"
“i don’t want to wear it, creep,” snapped megumi, dropping the dress at satoru’s feet. the height difference was comical, megumi barely reached higher than the snow-haired man’s knee. “it’s for you.”
your eyes narrowed.
“now wait just a minute —”
“i’ll wear tsumiki’s dress the day you wear that one,” scoffed megumi, who knew very well that satoru would never stoop that low. he did not wait for another response before walking away.
you and satoru watched him leave; you looked at satoru, who shrugged at you, and before either of you could blink, megumi was at satoru’s knees again.
“wha—”
kick!
“ow!”
the dark haired kid ran off without a word, leaving satoru to rub at his knee with his glasses askew on his face.
“the kid can seriously kick, huh?” he grunted, bouncing on the heels of his feet as you had approached him with a scowl.
“that’s what you get for even saying such a stupid thing,” you told him as you pinched his arm to stop him from bouncing around. his face came to level with yours and you took the opportunity to fix his glasses before flicking him on the forehead. “put my dress away.”
satoru grinned at you.
“i’ll skin you alive if i see you in that.”
“i paid for it.”
“and you’ll do that again if you wear it.”
so that brought you to the present day, where you found yourself actually pleading with megumi to… wear the dress.
“no,” he said, glaring at you (a rare sight, because despite your obvious similarities in humour with satoru, megumi still preferred to side with you in every situation). “it’s ugly.”
“you didn’t say it was ugly when tsumiki said she liked it.”
“tsumiki’s —” started megumi, looking at you as if you’d grown three different heads. “tsumiki’s a girl! why is — what’s wrong with you people?”
“it’ll look funny!”
“exactly.”
“he’ll be here in a couple of minutes, megumi. just for a minute… please?” you reasoned, hands clasped in pleading. “i want to make sure his birthday is perfect.”
“at my expense.”
you stared at him. “why does a kid like you even know those words?”
tsumiki had walked in the room by that point, a party hat sitting on top of the braids you had expertly done for her that morning.
“he reads non-fiction books,” she answered your question easily, placing her own wrapped gift on the table with very little room due to the pastries and goodies.
“of course,” you sighed. “because that’s so normal for a seven year old kid. you know, forget the dress. want me to take you to a doctor instead?”
“you’re not normal either,” megumi shot back grumpily.
“i am!” you argued back, unaware of the fact that satoru was now in the process of unlocking the door. “aren’t i, tsumiki?”
the girl, though hesitant, nodded enthusiastically. you’ll take it.
“see, megumi? i’m norm— what are you staring at?”
megumi’s face had paled, his pupils growing smaller and smaller with whatever view behind you he was met with. your eyes darted to tsumiki, who also looked visibly shocked, but you knew her well enough to analyse the fact that she also looked very… amused.
what was so amusing?
“I’M HOOOOME!” sang satoru, his voice smooth as silk and loud as though he’d spoken through a megaphone.
but satoru wasn’t that shocking. satoru was just satoru. satoru was…
you turned around.
satoru was wearing a dress.
your dress.
the one you’d forbidden him from touching.
the one you’d explicitly threatened him with.
the one he knew was off-limits.
the one he had now stretched and ripped due to his broad shoulders, his muscular frame, his tall body.
satoru seemed blissfully unaware of the issue at hand, pouting as his blue eyes darted from you, to megumi, to tsumiki.
“what, no birthday songs? you know i love your singing, y/n —”
“is infinity on?” you asked slowly, voice shaky with frustration.
satoru blinked.
“huh?”
“is. infinity. on.”
“i mean — yeah — but —”
“okay,” you smiled, walking over to the table and presenting all the treats you’d bought for him. you picked up a cinnamon roll with your bare hands, ignoring the way the sugary icing was now dripping down your skin.
“oh! those for me? i knew you’d come through! remember that shoe you gave me back when —”
splatter!
it was a good thing you were known for hitting your targets every time: satoru’s — your — dress was now tainted with the mess only a delicious cinnamon roll could cause. it dropped to the floor after sliding down his front for a good five seconds as you, him, and the kids watched with interest.
he stared at the wasted treat, mouth forming an ‘o’ shape at the disaster. he looked back up again, ready to protest when he found you holding another one of his treats: it was kikufuku — edamame and cream flavour, also known as, satoru gojo’s favourite.
“hey, wait —”
smack!
square on the nose. target hit. mission… accomplished? no, not quite yet. that was not enough compensation for your previously, well-crafted, beloved dress.
the idiot tried catching it, only for it to slip between his unnecessarily long fingers and fall sadly onto the wooden floor.
“no!” he shouted dramatically, voice cracking with despair. “that was —”
“your favourite?” you finished off, head tilted mockingly. “i know. that was my dress.”
satoru shook his head vigorously; it would have made you laugh if not for the fact that the dress he was wearing belonged to you.
“it still is!” he stated desperately.
“it’s not even a dress anymore you stupid man-child!”
“i know it looks a little… weird —”
“just weird?”
“and… a little ripped —"
“a little?”
“but it’s still yo— put my kikufuku down right now!”
the next five minutes had been an unpleasant sight for all: you were trying to get him out of your ruined dress, he was trying to get his favourite treat out of your hand, not to be tragically wasted like the previous one. tsumiki had made one or two attempts to calm all the tension down, but megumi had hissed at her to stop interfering.
tsumiki knew it was because if the arguing had been an issue of the past, megumi and his claim that if satoru wore your dress then he’d wear tsumiki’s small one, would be an issue of the present.
satoru, with his arms wrapped around your body (somehow) to prevent you from grabbing another one of his goodies, looked over his shoulder to send a menacing glare to megumi.
“you’re not off the hook either, mister,” he said loudly, “get the dress on.”
you pushed satoru off of you with an impressive amount of strength seeing as he practically towered over you and bested you in physical strength any day.
“no, forget it megumi. he doesn’t deserve to see you in a dre—”
the rest of your sentence had been muffled by satoru’s large hand slapping over your mouth, making you stumble back in surprise and anger.
“ignore her megumi, put the damn dress on.”
you pulled at his already-dishevelled hair sharply. he bit back a high-pitched scream his inner girl had wanted to release.
“he doesn’t want to anyway, he’s not gonna listen to you!”
satoru tried pushing you with his chest away from the dinner table so it would be easier to hold you back. he’d decided that you wouldn’t give up on this, therefore creating some space between you and his beloved sugary treats would be ideal in this scenario.
“oi, i did what the little brat wanted me to do,” he hissed with fury. his hands closed around your wrist, he looked over his shoulder at megumi again. “and i feel like shit right now —”
“— no swearing in front of the kids —”
“— i feel like poop right now,” satoru obediently corrected himself without looking back at you. “now do your dad a favour and put the dress on —”
megumi gave him a look of disgust and did not hesitate to share his thoughts.
“ew you’re not my dad.”
and sometimes you genuinely believe that satoru has some mild form of adhd, for his attention diverted quickly from his physical battle with you to the random one picked up by megumi.
“what the hell?”
but it still seemed as though one side of his brain was still working, he hadn’t let go of your wrists just yet.
“oh my god,” you sighed, looking over at tsumiki as though she could help you in any way: the young girl shrugged, fiddling with the little bands that went round her face in order to keep her party hat in place.
“pause, this is getting really serious right now and i don’t like it,” said satoru, and then quickly turned his head to face you with a glare. “not that you wasting my food isn’t serious.”
you struggled with his iron-tight grip on your wrists.
“i paid for all of that,” you reminded him charmingly.
“and i paid for this dress.”
“and you also wrecked it,” you snapped, eyeing what once used to be your beautiful blue dress that now looked like something you’d seen peasants wear in a movie.
“i’ll buy you a closet full of dresses if that’s what you want!” satoru argued back.
“i don’t want a closet full of dresses,” you retorted, and then paused, looking up thoughtfully. “but i’ll hold you to that.”
satoru blinked at you, confused; you shook your head and focused.
“i want that dress!” you demanded angrily, the battle continuing despite yourself. “and you didn’t heed my warning, so your kikufuku and everything else i bought you gets it.”
“you’re evil —”
“and you look like a fool!”
satoru did not deny that, so with his eyes still trained on you, narrowing them slowly, he exhaled through his nose.
“megumi, i won’t ask again. wear the dress.”
before you could go for the dinner table again, satoru ducked and lifted you by your waist, using his long legs to make large strides towards the couch. you protested, your hands had instinctively held onto his shoulders, and without them, you could not fight back. you opted to dig your nails into him instead — he hissed but made no complaints as he continued to quickly jog you over to the couch.
“megumi!” you called out loudly: the boy still remained where you had last spoken to him, by the chairs of the table with a party hat he’d been fiddling with beneath his chin. “don’t —”
you were interrupted by your own gasp when your back harshly met the soft cushions of the couch. you did not have to focus that hard to hear megumi’s quiet ‘wasn’t planning on it’.
“one down, another to go!” cheered satoru, way too joyful for your liking.
your gaze hardened, taking a cushion and dashing it at the back of his head with as much force as you could gather. of course, you never missed, but it did little to stop satoru from approaching megumi (other than the offended look he sent you in that ridiculous dress you tried so hard not to laugh at).
megumi remained stagnant, his glare hardening with each step satoru took to get closer to him.
“clown,” muttered megumi, jumping off of the chair he’d been sitting on and running to his room.
“oh, good plan!” satoru called after him with a smile. “you go and get the dress and i’ll stay and wait here!”
tsumiki coughed nervously. “erm — i don’t think he’s going to get th—”
she cut herself off when she saw you get back up and charge towards satoru. he turned around a second too late, you’d pushed him back and grabbed a handful of random pastries and sweets, throwing them at him without another thought.
“you’re gonna have to use hollow purple to stop me,” you said over his shouts of protests.
“jokes — jokes on — oh my god, no! — jokes on you, i — stop! — could just use infinity!”
“what’s the point? the food gets wasted anyway, genius.”
the food war (and physical battle, when satoru had decided that enough was enough and the only way to pacify you was to beat you in a clash of strength) had gone on for at least another ten minutes. you were growing exhausted, but satoru? satoru, that monster, was still fighting you as if your attacks were nothing.
stamina now seemed like water on a dry desert for you.
but you refused to give up.
“i can see your nipple, you pervert, ew!” you shouted from underneath him.
it was an odd mix of your limbs. you were trying to flip him over but the stretch his body when you twisted his torso somehow only caused the fabric across his chest to tear, revealing one of his nipples.
“you see it every night,” satoru shot back with a grin.
you wanted to slap the smug look on his face badly.
“that’s why i tell you to stop sleeping shirtless every night —”
“why are you complaining? any other woman would be glad to —”
“what are you guys doing?” tsumiki’s soft voice interrupted you like the smooth spread of butter on toast.
the two of you looked up; your jaws dropped.
tsumiki had taken the time that you guys spent fighting to change out of her simple, regular dress and put on one of the new ones satoru had bought for her sometime last week. it was a similar shade to the blue he’d wanted megumi to wear (for some odd reason, the weirdo?) but was definitely much more flattering. much, much more prettier.
and it was her size.
“get off of me, you —"
“— no swearing —"
“you woman fetishise-r —”
“what’s that?” asked tsumiki, as you both got to your feet and dusted yourselves off.
“yeah, what’s that, y/n?” satoru cheekily repeated, staring at you as if he needed the answer or he’d die a sad and painful death.
“it’s —” you began sharply, trying not to kill him with your death stare before looking back at tsumiki with a smile, “it’s not important. the real question is: what’s that?”
“…it’s a dress,” said satoru unhelpfully. he was looking at you as if you had discovered new learning difficulties.
“another peep out of you and you’re sleeping on the couch tonight,” you threatened him quietly.
you did not need to look at him to know that he was pouting like a kicked puppy. at least he was mute, but not for long, it seemed.
“you’d do that to me on my birthda—”
“i’ve done a lot to you today, don’t push it,” you said, still eyeing tsumiki’s dress with obvious amazement and interest. you approached her, bending down to her height and tucking back some of the flyaways on her head. “it makes you look like a princess —”
“and it stopped you guys from fighting,” she smiled… like a princess.
satoru glared down at you, well aware that you could not see him.
“yeah i’m still not done with her —”
“i’ll make you sit in the naughty chair, gojo,” you said menacingly.
he wanted to let out a long, exaggerated sigh, but the sound of tsumiki laughing at your… mutual banter (?) had drawn his attention away from your backside to her and her new dress.
“ah,” sighed satoru, rubbing the back of his neck, “still wanted to see megumi in a dress.”
“can it, gojo.”
“i did!” he responded, sounding like a child getting scolded by their mother. he looked down at tsumiki and brushed her party hat aside to ruffle her hair (though not enough to mess her neat braids up). “i mean — you look so pretty with it on, i just wore this stupid dress for nothing now.”
“mhm,” you nodded, rising to your full height to raise a brow at him.
he shrugged, picking up an unwrapped lindor bar from the table. “can i at least get a picture of myself?”
“no,” you rolled your eyes. “your entire thought about putting megumi in a dress was just plain dumb, satoru.”
tsumiki blinked up at you. “but you spent all day trying to get megumi to agree to —”
your eye twitched as you felt satoru’s amused and interested stare directed at your cheek. you refused to look back at him.
you loved tsumiki, you really did. but just like any other kid, she had a tendency of speaking about something when it was very clear that it was simply not required. in other words, she spoke to make matters worse for you — unknowingly, of course. it stung a little more seeing as being proven wrong against the smug bastard that is satoru gojo is enough to make you want to jump into a big, black hole and never return again.
the idiot was just that cocky.
“a dumb idea, huh?” you heard him say.
you closed your eyes, as though they were the source of your hearing.
“mhm…” you hummed, irritated.
“that so?” said satoru, and when you did not respond, he took it as an opportunity to go on, and on, and on.
“aw, you did that for me?”
“just for me?”
“and she spent all day doing that, did she?”
“of course she did, look at all those treats for me!”
“i mean — not out of the ordinary for her to be bugging megumi but for me?”
“you know what?” you interrupted him loudly. you faced him with a frown. “i want a divorce!”
satoru stared down at you, glanced at tsumiki, before blinking down at you again. he raised his snow-white brow at you, acting as though you’d said something that deserved ten years in jail.
“we’re not even married!”
“and whose fucking fault is that?”
“language!”
“happy birthday!” you stated angrily, reaching up and kissing him on his cheek before storming out of the room, unaware of the dazed look he sent after you, unaware of the pink dusting his cheeks, unaware of the dreamy sigh he let out when the door slammed loud enough to shake the rest of the house.
soon, that argument could never be used against him, especially not by you.

Chapter 7
Mature Age 18+ Readers ONLY.
Pairing Arthur with a female reader.
There may be errors. I read through these a couple times but I still may miss things.
The next morning you are awakened by the voice of men discussing plans to rob the bank in Valentine.
You stretch your limbs as you awaken, the events from last night still fresh in your mind. You take a deep breath and let it out slowly, savoring the remaining scent of Arthur clinging to your hair and pillow. You can't help but smile, feeling content and happy.
Arthur had already risen long before you and was joined in on the discussion outside.
The crisp morning air filled with boisterous laughter and animated gestures floated in as you sit up in bed.
Arthur had already brought you fresh water to wash your face. You smiled to yourself when you saw it.
He is always thinking of you.
You feel a sense of warmth in your heart knowing that he hasn't forgotten about you, even in the midst of his gang's planning and strategizing.
You splash your face with the crisp cool water and it awakens your senses.
After checking your reflection in the mirror you decide that you are ready to leave the tent.
You step outside and take a few moments to admire Arthur from afar, taking in the way his muscles ripple beneath his shirt as he moves-and oh, those eyes. They light up wherever they go, and it's no different now as he talks animatedly with his comrades. It's impossible not to get lost in them.
But even as you stare, the weight of last night's fears creep back in. You glance around the camp, and your stomach drops. Where is he?
Micah.
His presence lingers like a dark cloud over the group, and without him physically present, you can't shake off the feeling that he's watching you. Waiting for his moment to strike.
Arthur notices your unease, and he immediately comes over to you. "What's wrong, darlin'?" he asks, placing a gentle hand on your shoulder.
You can see the concern in his eyes, and you feel guilty for burdening him with your worries.
"Nothing, I'm just a little on edge," you admit, forcing a smile.
Arthur frowns and squeezes your shoulder reassuringly. "I won't let anything happen to you," he says with quiet intensity. "I promise."
His words make you feel safe and loved, and you lean into his embrace, breathing in his comforting scent.
"The guys and I were discussing our plan to rob the bank in Valentine," Arthur explains, breaking the silence. "I know it's dangerous, but I couldn't say no to the offer. It's a huge job, and it could set us up for a while."
You nod, understanding his predicament. Despite the risks, you couldn't deny Arthur the chance to secure a better future for himself and his gang.
"Just promise me you'll be careful," you say, looking up at him with worried eyes.
"Always, sweetheart," he replies, kissing you softly on the lips.
"That job won't happen for a few days though. Today, Charles, Lenny and I have another quick job to do. I'll be gone for most of the day but I should be back by suppertime," he adds, his hand trailing down to yours, entwining your fingers together.
As he speaks, the group of men around you both nod in agreement. They're all excited about the job, their voices hushed but filled with anticipation. You can sense the tension in the air but you push it aside, focusing on Arthur and his words.
"I don't like leaving you here alone, without me," he continues, a frown creasing his brow. "You'll have to stay with the others while we're gone."
At that moment, Micah approaches you.
You can feel Arthur's hand tightening around yours, readying himself for whatever Micah has planned next. The tension between the two of them is palpable, and you start to worry about what this day holds for all of you.
"Morning, Micah," Arthur says, his voice strained but polite.
"Arthur," Micah replies with a smarmy smile.
"I see you're leaving today. Try to make it back in one piece. You wouldn't want to leave this lovely lady alone, would you?"
His words are laced with sarcasm, and Arthur's hand tightens around yours even more. You can feel the waves of anger and disgust rolling off of him in waves, and you're grateful for his possessiveness over you.
As Micah saunters away, Arthur turns to you with a warm smile. "Don't worry about him, sweetheart.
He's just trying to get under my skin," Arthur says, brushing off Micah's earlier remark with a wave of his hand.
"I can take care of myself while you're gone," you assure him, not wanting him to worry about you.
"I know you can, but I still don't like leaving you here."
His concern for you is sweet, and you lean in to give him a reassuring kiss.
"I'll be fine, I promise. Besides, Dutch and the other guys are here. Just come back to me in one piece," you whispered against Arthur's lips, your fingers tracing the outline of his strong jawline.
He nodded solemnly, his green eyes filled with determination and passion.
"I'll always come back to you, sweetheart," he said, before capturing your lips once more in a deep and passionate kiss.
As the day wore on, you kept busy around the camp, helping with tasks and chatting with the other women.
But your thoughts were never far from Arthur and the danger of his mission.
"Hey there, beautiful," a deep voice says behind you, snapping you out of your thoughts. You turn around to see Dutch, one of Arthur's closest friends and the leader of gang. "What's got you so lost in thought over there?"
You smile at him and shrug. "Just thinking about Arthur and the job he's on today."
Dutch nods, his expression serious. "He's a smart guy, and he'll be careful.
Besides, I'm sure it's just a quick snatch-and-grab job. He won't be gone for long," Dutch reassures you, his voice smooth and steady.
You want to believe him, but you can't shake off the feeling of unease that's been plaguing you since this morning. You nod hesitantly and turn your attention back to the task at hand, trying to busy yourself with work.
To take your mind off of things you decide to go pick some fresh raspberries so the gang has a nice dessert for supper tonight. Pearson brought some fresh cream back to the camp this morning and that will be perfect with the raspberries.
You grab a basket and tell Dutch what you're off to do.
"Don't wander too far," he warns, "Arthur would never forgive me if anything happened to you."
"I won't!" you shout over your shoulder as you saunter off into the woods.
The wind catches your hair as you disappear among the trees, creating a trail of rippling leaves in your wake.
Your heart races as you move further and further away from the camp, making sure to keep an eye out for any juicy raspberries. You breathe in the smell of wildflowers and damp earth, letting it cleanse your mind. The sun warms your skin as it seeps through the thick canopy of leaves above, casting dappled shadows on the ground.
You breathe deeply, savoring the fresh air that fills your lungs with every inhale and exhale. You've always loved the wilderness, and this was just what you needed to calm your nerves.
As you wander deeper into the woods, you begin to lose yourself in its serenity. The only sounds audible are those of nature: the rustling leaves beneath your feet, the sound of chirping birds, and the gentle babble of a nearby brook. Your mind is clear, and you feel at peace with the world around you.
The only thing that's been weighing heavily on your mind is Arthur's safety. But you push those thoughts aside, determined to enjoy this breather from the chaotic camp life.
You continue to gather raspberries in your basket, the juicy fruit staining your fingers a deep red. As you lean down to pick some more, you feel a sudden presence behind you. Your heart skips a beat, and your senses go on high alert. You slowly turn around, and your eyes meet Micah's.
He stands there, a sly smile playing on his lips. Your heart races as you realize that you are alone with him, far away from the safety of the camp. You try to keep your voice steady as you greet him, but you can't shake off the feeling of unease that's now taken over your body.
"Hello, Micah," you say, trying to keep your composure and sound casual. "What brings you here?"
He shrugs, still smiling. "Just thought I'd see if I could find some wild raspberries too.
I have to admit, you're a pro at finding the ripest ones."
Micah steps closer to you, and your heart starts racing. You can feel his hot breath on your skin as he speaks, and you take a step back. But there's nowhere for you to go; you're trapped between Micah and a tree.
He reaches out and brushes a strand of hair away from your face, his fingers trailing against your cheek. You shiver involuntarily, and you curse yourself for it. Don't let him see that he's affecting you.
You swallow hard, pulling your face away from his grasp. "I-I think I've gathered enough raspberries," you stammer, holding up your basket as evidence. "I should get back to camp. Dutch is gonna wonder where I am."
But Micah doesn't budge. Instead, he steps even closer to you, invading your personal space and making you feel cornered. You can feel the heat radiating off of him in waves, and your heart races as you try to come up with a way to escape.
The wind rustles through the trees, causing his scent to envelop you. It's a mix of sweat, whiskey, and musk, and it's making your stomach churn.
Micah's hand slides down your arm, and he grabs onto your wrist. "Don't be like that," he purrs. "We both know you want this."
Panic rises in your throat as you try to wriggle out of his grip, but he's too strong. "Let go of me," you stammer, your voice trembling.
But Micah just laughs and pulls you closer, his other hand sneaking around to cup your ass. "Come on, sweetheart. You know you want it just as much as I do."
The revulsion fills every inch of your body as he grinds himself against you, his erection obvious through his pants.
"Get off me!" You hiss through gritted teeth, trying to push him away, but he's like a damn animal, wild and untamed.
With a sneer, Micah tightens his grip on your wrists, forcing you to drop your basket of raspberries. They scatter on the ground, staining the earth with their juices as the wind howls through the trees.
"Come on, baby. You know you want it," he says huskily, pressing his lips against your ear as he nibbles on your lobe.
"I can make you feel so good."
His hot breath sends shivers down your spine, and you feel a lump form in your throat. "Please," you whimper, hating how pathetic you sound but unable to help the desperation in your voice. "Just let me go."
But instead of releasing you, Micah's grip on you tightens, and he pushes you harder against the tree. His erection digs into your hip, making bile rise in your throat. You can't believe this is happening. Not here, not with him.
The thought of his hands on you, his mouth, made you nauseous. You struggled in his grip but he was too strong.
Micah slammed you against the tree, pressing his body against yours so you couldn't escape. His other hand grabbed your breast and squeezed it hard, making you cry out in pain.
"Shut up, you little whore," he snarled, grinding his hips against you. "I knew you wanted this. You've always wanted it."
His words were like a slap in the face. No, no, no. You didn't want this.
You tried to push him away with every fiber of your being, but he was too strong.
Micah's lips pressed hard against yours, his tongue forcing its way past your lips and teeth, invading your mouth in the most disgusting and invasive way possible.
You felt his hand roughly shoving its way up your skirt, fingernails scratching down your thighs as he forced your legs apart.
You could hear your heart pounding in your ears. Your legs were weak with fear.
You did the only thing you could think of, and bit his tongue hard.
He snapped back, "You bitch," he shouted cupping his mouth, spitting out blood.
Before you even had time to brace yourself his backhand connected with your cheek sending you to the ground where the side of your head connects with a rock.
You immediately feel a pounding in your head and your surroundings are spinning.
Trying to shake it off you look up and see an out of focus Micah stalking towards you. You try to scramble to your feet, but he grabs onto your hair and yanks you back down. The pain is sharp and immediate, causing tears to prick at the corners of your eyes.
"You stupid little bitch," he hisses, his spittle hitting your face. "You think you can reject me like that?"
Fear coils in your stomach as he leans down, his breath hot on your face.
His fist connects with the side of your head.
The force of the punch sends another wave of pain crashing through your skull, and you feel yourself start to see stars. You cry out in pain but that just seems to give him fuel for his assault.
Micah tightens his grip on your hair, pulling your head back so that you're forced to look up at him. His face is twisted in rage, and his eyes are wild.
You can feel the anger rolling off of him in waves, and you know that you are in grave danger.
But even in the midst of your terror, a newfound strength rises up within you. You refuse to let yourself be a victim, and so with all of your might, you sink your teeth deep into his forearm. Releasing your hair, Micah yells in pain and recoils, giving you just enough time to scramble to your feet. You take off running, your heart pounding in your chest as you dart through the trees. Your lungs burn, and your legs tremble, but you don't dare slow down.
Behind you, you can hear Micah cursing and crashing through the underbrush. He sounds closer than you'd like, and panic surges through you once more. But then, ahead of you, you see a glimmer of hope: the edge of the woods is just up ahead. If you can make it to the clearing where the camp is set up, maybe you'll be safe.
It's a long shot, but it's all you've got. You push yourself harder, your legs screaming in protest as you race toward the open field. You can hear Micah closing in behind you, his angry roars spurring you on.
Suddenly, you burst out of the tree line and onto the open grassy area near the camp. Your chest heaving with exertion, you scan frantically for help.
In the distance, you can see Dutch and Javier sitting by the fire, unaware of your predicament. Desperation courses through you as you attempt to gain their attention.
Micah finally emerges from the trees, pausing to catch his breath before a sinister smile spreads across his face. He slowly starts to walk towards you, relishing in your fear.
"Boss!" Micah shouts approaching me. "We need help here!"
Dutch and Javier jump to their feet and look in our direction.
Micah grabs your shoulders as if to help you stay upright and shield you from danger. You're heaving to catch your breath as adrenaline courses through you. You could taste the blood in your mouth and your vision was blurry, your head feels like its about to explode.
Micah starts to say something, but Dutch cuts him off mid-sentence. "What the hell is going on here?" He demands, running towards you, eyes narrowed at Micah who still has hold of you. You're trembling with fear, but the sight of Dutch and Javier gives you hope that you'll be alright.
"She was attacked," Micah starts to explain, but his words barely register in your ears as everything around you becomes muffled. You can't believe what just happened, and your mind reels from the trauma.
Dutch and Javier rush over to you, taking in your disheveled appearance, the blood running from your cheek, and the fear etched onto your face.
"What the hell happened?" Dutch demands, his eyes blazing with anger as they dart between you and Micah.
Micah lets go of you as if suddenly realizing the weight of the situation.
Your legs give way, and you collapse onto the grass, your body shaking uncontrollably. Dutch reaches you first and gathers you in his arms, holding you close as he whispers soothing words into your ear. Javier stands guard, eyeing Micah warily as he tries to explain himself.
"She was out to picking raspberries," Micah begins, but Dutch cuts him off with a growl. "Shut up, Micah. Don't say another word until we get this sorted out." Dutch turns his attention back to you, his eyes filled with concern.
You couldn't make out anything else being said, everything was muffled, your head was pounding. Slowly everything went black.
The world around you faded away, and the last thing you remembered before losing consciousness was the warmth of Dutch's embrace.

hi hii!! could you do prompt 1 & 6 with jouno? thank you!
1 (“you know i wasn't lying when i said i'd kill for you”) + 6 (“I love it when you scream and it's all because of me!”)
jouno my beloved but i struggled a little bit, still had a bunch of fun though!
-WC 889 // valentines event open!! tws: getting kidnapped, Jouno degrades reader a little
You lived in a quiet little down, nothing went down, nothing unusual happened. The morning birds chirped blissfully while they watched from above. Sitting down near a pond while nature flutters around you, just admiring the gente ripples going to and across the water. As of late, there was an investigation of a possible rogue wanted ability user resting up in your down, having sent the best military dogs to find them. That's how you met Jouno Saigiku, full of pride and always with a smile. You were one of the people he questioned, however you took note your questioning took longer than the other people in your town. You shrugged it off as maybe they were just faster in their answers but some of those questions did get a little personal. Even his wording was a bit off, “you’re one of the people who I would kill to protect.”
Again, you didn't want to say anything. You shook off the thought, they’re only gonna be here for a limited time and most likely never again so you didnt concern yourself too much. The day went on as usual, nothing really standing out. Everyother breath and step felt like you were being monitored even if it was in direct sunlight. Sometimes you’d even bump into that man again, Jouno, his tone was kindly spoken, however the words not really. Quick to turn to something dark humored but you gave a little laugh. You still respected him because he was here for a reason.
You did notice weird shifting while trailing to go home, a hand quickly reached out to grab you and pull you away from your destination. You failed to scream out in time and everything else fell in darkness.
You woke up dizzy, as you were in an unfamiliar place, the light was awful on your eyes, closing them up and squinting. The person who kidnapped you gave an awful smile as he told you, you weren’t gonna live long. Your eyes were watering, heart pouring out fear with every beat. Not a lot of details were spared to you, the guy simply going off while you’re stuck to a chair in an unfamiliar place. You tried to calm down and eventually started to lightly sleep, there's really nothing else you could do. However, before you could fully fall asleep you heard shouting and banging, it jolted you up, staring at the door where the noise was coming from. In all honesty you couldn't help but let out a small scream. You swallowed nervously, looking down at the floor and gaining some sense of calm. Trying to breathe in and out slowly despite the tremble in your breathing. Finally the door opened, you could hear faint drops of something hitting the floor while footsteps were walking towards you. “What a shame we meet like this again.” that voice, it was gentle.
You look up and see Jouno, gasping seeing the state his clothes are in, while the red of the uniform was able to hide it well, the blood on his face was clear on what happened. He chuckled as he closed in, freeing you from your binds. “If it's not clear already, I wasn't lying about what I said earlier, I did say I would kill for someone like you.”
You were confused but chose to stay silent while he helped you up, the smile on his face never shifting while you were gathering your thoughts. “Maybe it seems you deserve to be more secluded so this doesn't happen again hm?”
Nothing was making sense on what he was saying but you still were stunned to speak, the exhaustion of everything was getting to you and it was impacting your will to think properly.
Jouno obviously notices and sits you down, while you lean on his shoulder and close your eyes while your breathing gets calmer.
The next place you wake up, it wasn't your house again, Jouno was by your side, holding his head up with his hand. You were even more confused about what was going on. Yet Jouno only gave a smile and straightened his posture. “From now on, you’ll be staying here, it's just a precaution.”
This didn't help your confusion, you knew something was being hidden but you didn't want to push anything. “Afterall, I am just worried since you walked off and got yourself caught by the person we were looking for, just a magnet for trouble.”
You were getting overwhelmed again and you started bumbling questions on when you would get to go home, Jouno got a little closer and started to whisper, ” you’re never leaving here, you’ll be under my surveillance. After all, don't you prefer something else over the sorry mess you called a home back there?, you almost got killed, I don't want that happening again, you were defenseless in there.”
You started to raise your voice in disbelief, tears building up as the stress was becoming too much for you to handle. Yet all Jouno could give back in response was just a few simple words, "I love it when you scream and it's all because of me." making you silent before continuing. “I couldn't help myself the first time I heard your scream, shame it behind that door, it was lovely to listen to.”

The first time you kissed Bob Floyd, you were fifteen.
It was a chilly February day. Winter in low country was odd. Nothing like the blizzarding plains of the midwest or the arctic chills that run down the eastern coast. It was damp at times and gray but never overt. The cold slipped in, an unknown intruder, and dug its claws in until you didn’t realize that it had completely taken over. And by the time you realized, it was slithering away, already on its way out, only to be seen again in a few months. A welcome friend after the humid, long days of summer that turned popsicles into a sticky puddle in a matter of minutes and sleek hair into a frizzy mane without proper technique.
The day you first kissed Bob Floyd, you were bundled under a sweater and his jacket, one he had slung around your shoulders as the two of you departed the old house your grandparents lived in, making your way through the thick grass.
The two of you paused under the old willow tree, the sun slipping down below the fence line. It was Valentine’s Day.
You smiled up at him. He smiled down at you. And without saying anything, the two of you leaned into each other, your lips grazing for the first time, your heart threatening to beat out of your chest.
And even though you had never kissed another boy before and even though he was your best friend, there was something different about the moment you and Bob connected.
It changed everything. And when you pulled away, he grinned down at you and you knew that forever with him wouldn’t be long enough.
Six months later, you moved away and Bob Floyd faded into your past.
Fifteen years later, you were in the same exact position. Bob’s lips brushing yours, your fingertips wrapped around his neck, one of his hands cupping your neck, holding you close.
And this time, when you leaned back, your stomach dropped. Because it was just like the first time. And you knew that you could love him again if you let yourself. Maybe there was a reason the bakery was failing. Maybe there was a reason none of the other guys between now and then had ever worked out.
Maybe, despite how insane and stupid it sounded, it was always meant to be Bob Floyd.
Maybe you wouldn’t hurt him.
“Peanut,” he whispered, his forehead pressed against yours. “Is this really happening?”
You pulled back, Bob’s blue eyes searing into yours, and smiled. “Yeah, Bobby. It is.”
He brushed a section of hair behind your ear. “I don’t even know what to say. Other than I’m so glad you decided to come find me.”
“Bobby, I—” Just then, the doorbell rang.
The two of you looked at each other. “Hold that thought,” Bob said, untangling himself from you, striding over to the front door. He returned a minute later with a pizza box which he slid onto the coffee table. “What were you saying?”
You shook your head, your heart beating erratically. “I was just going to say that I’m starving.”
His smile faltered. “Well, let’s eat, honey.”
You settled onto the couch next to Bob, one of his strong arms stretched out over your shoulders. Instinctively, you leaned into his side as he turned on the TV. You held back the tears that threatened to spill down onto your pizza slice.
He was perfect. He had been perfect back then. But you were kids. You had thought everything would have a rosy glow because of it. That time would have passed and you’d realize the only reason it was so good back then was because it was in the past. It was unattainable in the way that only memories can be. That time had softened any rough edges of your memory.
But the truth was, it was just as good as it had been. Perhaps better. You looked up at Bob, the colorful lights of the TV illuminating his silhouette. He was beautiful. He was perfect.
Your stomach cramped. It was your internal alarm system.
You were in way over your head.
***
“I can’t do this,” you said into the phone, tossing it on your bed as you searched for an outfit. “It’s not fair to him.”
On the other end of the line, Calvin sighed. He was across the country and you could still picture his stance perfectly. Lips puckered up in a pout, probably leaning one hand on the stainless steel bartop where you two decorated your bakes. “I knew it,” he said and you frowned. “You like him.”
You grabbed a black dress before throwing it back on the bed and picking up a strappy tank top instead. “He’s a good person,” you explained. “Like an actual good person. The kind that returns carts at the grocery store for old ladies and offers to watch your kid for free and would spend his entire day helping someone build a deck if they asked.”
“This isn’t new information, is it?” Cal asked. “You knew him before, right?”
“Yeah,” you whispered. “I did.” The Bob Floyd you had known as a kid was just as sweet. He would wait after the fourth period with a slice of pizza wrapped in paper napkins if he knew you wouldn’t have time to eat lunch. He would go miles out of his way to walk you home after school. He was the one who had tried to stay in touch after you left. He was the better one. “I just, I don’t know. Maybe a part of me hoped he wouldn’t be such a good person anymore. But he is. He’s great.”
“It’s not too late to come home,” Cal said. “Maybe there’s another way to save the bakery.”
“You and I both know there isn’t,” you said quietly.
“Then do what you have to,” he replied. “And Haley?”
“Yeah?”
“Maybe he’ll forgive you.”
***
It was a Friday. You remember because you had a sleepover planned with Amber Wilson and her parents had a house right on the beach on Sullivan’s Island. You were supposed to eat salt water taffy and dip your toes in the sand and spend the night giggling and dialing boy’s phone numbers.
Instead, you found yourself holding an ice pack to Bob’s eye in the nurse’s office.
It was after the final bell, and everyone was collecting their backpacks from their lockers. The halls were crowded. Dense with flailing limbs and open book bags and noisy with excitement for the weekend.
So noisy that you didn’t hear it at first. That was, until a crowd started to gather near the Spanish classroom, and your ears perked up with interest. You pushed your way toward the action, jaw dropped when you saw what was happening.
Billy Turner had Bob by the backpack straps, dangling him in the air. You shoved forward, actually grabbing and tossing a few kids in your effort to get to Bob, a loud yell exiting your mouth as Billy turned to see you shoving him.
He set Bob down, turning to you with a slick grin. “Haley Nichols. Should have known Floyd would need a girl to defend him.”
“Shut your fucking face, Billy,” you spat, eyes burning. “Pick on someone your own size you enormous fuck.”
He laughed. “Hear that, Floyd? Little girl here wants me to leave you alone.” Billy eyed Bob who was busy rubbing the angry red stripes on his shoulders where the backpack straps had dug in as Billy knocked him around. “You’re a fucking baby, aren’t you? That’s what you are, a little fucking baby.”
And then Billy was reaching out, one fist clipping Bob’s face, knocking his glasses to the ground, Bob crumpling shortly afterward. You instinctively shoved Billy as hard as you could and he careened into a group of people near the beige lockers. “Fuck off, Turner!” you screamed.
You rushed forward, bending down, pulling Bob up gently. He held his glasses in his hands, looking up at you with the saddest eyes you had ever seen. You pulled him in close and he crumpled against you, your fingers on his cheeks, one arm wrapped around him. Bob leaned against you and you turned your gaze to where Billy stood off to the side.
You glared at him. “Fuck you,” you mouthed silently. He turned and stomped away.
The crowd dissipated once they realized the action was over. It was just you and Bob, standing in the hallway, his head pressed to your chest. Finally, he straightened up and you could see the start of a black eye.
“Fuck,” you whispered, touching it softly. He grimaced.
“I’m sorry,” he murmured quietly, voice breaking.
You frowned. “For what?”
“Being a nerd,” he admitted. “Getting beat up by a bully like Billy. You must think I’m a freak.”
You shook your head. “No. Don’t say that.”
Bob looked up with watery eyes. “You deserve better.”
“Stop it.” You pulled him in close, wrapping your arms around his waist, waiting until he dropped his chin down onto your shoulder. Until you heard his sniffles dissipate. “I’ll never find someone better than you, Bob Floyd,” you whispered. “Never.”
***
You had come to realize that the bar they all went to wasn’t a special occasion place or a one in a while hangout. It was a daily occurrence for a lot of the team, minus Bob.
So when the two of you pulled up in Bob’s truck hand in hand, it was no surprise that the entire team was waiting there with grins on their faces.
“Well, well, look who it is.” Bradley stepped in, pressing a kiss to your cheek. He grinned. “Don’t forget, Floyd, we owe these girls some drinks after that flight.”
Bob squeezed your hand, leaning in close. “Can I get you a drink, darlin’?”
You nodded. “Gin and tonic?”
“You got it, sweetheart.”
That left you alone near the edge of the room with Phoenix, Hangman and Coyote. Jake slung his arm around your shoulders and you grimaced. “So you and Floyd, huh?” Jake asked.
“Yup.”
“That came out of nowhere,” he said and you recognized the way he said it.
He was jealous. You smirked. “Did it?” you asked. “Or maybe we’ve spent the last fifteen years wondering if things would ever live up to how we made them in our heads about each other.”
“She got you there,” Coyote said and you laughed.
You grabbed Jake’s hand, slowly unwinding his arm from your shoulders and putting it back down against his side, patting his arm lightly. “Don’t worry, you’ll find someone. Hangman.”
Phoenix laughed, taking a sip of her beer with a smirk. “Fuck, Hangman, Bob’s girl got you good.”
Bob returned a minute later along with Bradley and a round of drinks. You nuzzled into his side, sipping on your G&T, nodding enthusiastically at the stories swirling above your head. Throughout the night, Bob kept his arm tight around your waist. Occasionally he would lean down, whisper into your ear. A secret only the two of you knew. A joke about Hangman’s lack of game. Telling you again how beautiful you were.
After a few hours, Bob let you go reluctantly, following Bradley and Coyote to the far side of the bar, apparently to make good on a bet about darts. You turned to Phoenix, about to ask her what it was like to fly with Bob, when you heard the first shout.
“You know what you did, Bradshaw!”
“Oh, fuck,” Phoenix said, setting her beer down and grabbing your hand. “We gotta go.”
“What’s happening?” you asked, craning your head, trying to find the source of the commotion.
Jake put one hand on Phoenix’s back, slightly lower than you would have expected. “Nix, let me handle this.”
“Whatever you say, Bagman,” she said, eyes narrowing. He looked down at her for a second too long before pulling his hand away, walking in front of her, leading the charge.
“Leave it, Underwood.” You recognized Bradley’s voice but there was anxiety lacing the words. He was concerned.
“She’s my girlfriend, you asshole.”
“Ex-girlfriend.” It was Bob correcting him. You grimaced, hand squeezing Phoenix’s, trying to push closer despite the crowd.
“Stay out of this, Floyd.” The angry guy. “Go back to your slutty girlfriend.”
“Don’t fucking talk about her like that.” His words could cut stone, they were so sharp.
There was a laugh. Phoenix tugged you the remaining steps until the two of you were thrust out into the front of the crowd, just around the ring of air that had enveloped Bob, Bradley, Coyote and Underwood. Jake stood on the edge of the fray, eyes hard, assessing the situation. You could see how he would be good in combat. He had the ability to cut out all of the background noise and center in on the problem. You suddenly felt a little safer.
That was, until Underwood opened his mouth again.
He stepped in closer to Bob, eyes blazing. He was a large guy, blond buzzcut, thick build. The way they grow them in the midwest: tall and broad and simple. “I said, your girlfriend is a slut.”
Bob’s fist came out faster than you could even see. All you saw was the aftermath. The way his clip to Underwood’s left cheek had him gasping, sputtering, before righting himself, reaching for Bob. Bradley stepped in, grabbing the larger man’s shoulders, twisting him, dodging a punch before landing one himself right in the guy’s stomach. Underwood grunted and Bob and Bradley made eye contact, but then he was back on his feet, punching Bob, leveling him to the floor. You let out a screech, rushing forward, dropping Phoenix’s hand as Jake stepped in alongside Coyote, all three of them trying to hold back the larger man.
You dropped to your knees, reaching out, holding Bob’s head in your hands as Penny rang the bell at the bar.
“All of you!” she shouted, one finger pointed toward the door. “Out.”
“Come on, honey,” you murmured, helping Bob to stand, one hand gripping his arm, leading him outside.
Bradley, Coyote and Jake tossed Underwood out onto the gravel of the parking lot. You watched as he stood up, blood dripping from his brow, before glaring and limping away toward a white truck.
You helped Bob sit on a bench next to the bar, kneeling at his feet, touching his face gently. “Does that hurt?” you asked softly.
Bob looked up. “God, this is really like ninth grade all over again, isn’t it?”
You laughed. “He did have a very Billy Turner vibe to him.”
“I’m sorry, Peanut,” he whispered.
You leaned in, pressing your lips against his softly. Bob grunted quietly and you pulled away with a sheepish smile. “Sorry.”
“Don’t be,” he murmured. “Do it again.”
You laughed, leaning in, kissing him again. “I’ll tell you now what I told you then,” you whispered. “I’m never going to find someone better than you, Bob Floyd. But don’t feel like you have to defend me. Let them make fun of me, I don’t care. I’m not worth it.”
Bob reached out, running one finger down the side of your cheek. “When are you going to realize, Haley Nichols, that you’re the one thing that’s worth anything?”

Candy Heart Valentine Event
Fandom: Black Clover
Lee: Charlotte Roselei
Ler: Yami
Prompts: Sweet Heart "Oh? Is Someone Ticklish" and I'm Yours "You Like Being Tickled, Don't You"
{Candy Heart Prompts: OFFICIALLY CLOSED!}
CHARLOTTE!!!! God she is so GORGEOUS AHH! *dies in simp* I've gotcha covered! (plus the opportunity to write for Yami x Charlotte is always a great one! :D)
Sweet Heart: "Oh? Is someone ticklish?" + I'm Yours: "You like being tickled, don't you?"
“Oi, thorn princess.”
Charlotte nearly dropped on the spot, eyes widening upon hearing Yami’s voice calling out to her. Just the thought of him so close…
Then she remembered she was a captain and cleared her throat, turning to face him with her usual cool demeanor. “Captain-”
She expected more space between them. Finding him inches from her face, she stepped back, losing her balance. “Sh-”
“Whoa.” Yami’s hand caught her waist, squeezing some. “Careful there-”
A pause. Charlotte felt her face burn when she realized she let out a squeak. “What..”
“It was nothing.” She snapped, if not a bit too quickly. Yami raised a brow before squeezing her waist again, feeling her stiffen as she squeezed her lips flat. “Oh? Is someone ticklish?”
“N-Not at all! Back off you overgrown bo-eehehehrm!” The blonde barely fought down the giggles when be brought a second hand in, gently kneading her sides with an amused expression. Of all the days she wasn’t wearing her armor too! “C-cuhuhuht that ohohout!”
“Oh, you’re laughing now, thorn princess! Hehehe, I wouldn’t have guessed.” Feeling a bit bold, Yami guided them to the nearest wall, half pinning her against it as he carried on pressing into her waist. “You’re not even fighting back. You like being tickled, huh?”
If Charlotte were being honest with herself, it wasn’t the tickling keeping her there. Still- she was grateful for it; embarrassing as it was- it was a good excuse for why her face was so warm, or why her heart was racing like crazy. Totally not because Yami was basically holding her-
Right- right. Demeanor.
“Shuhuhuhush! Ghehahahhaa, C-Cahahhaptian Yahahahmi, enohohohugh!” Despite her words, she barely moved, resting her hands on his large wrists as he scribbled into all the sensitive spots along her torso. “Leheheht me gohohohoho!”
“Hmm..nah, I like it here.” Yami leaned in, something new in his eyes as he met her misty ones. “Seeing you like this, pushing past your limits…it’s pretty cute.”
Roses formed soon after, leaving Yami more or less in a tangled ball on the floor as Charlotte bolted.
She couldn’t fight the smile on her lips the rest of the day though.

A Night to Remember
Pairing: Achilles x Fujimaru Ritsuka (gender neutral master)
Mild NSFW, no descriptions of any acts WC: 630 Just fluff based on his Valentine's event dialogue. To be paired with this picture I drew.
"What's Valentine's Day?" An innocent question asked was the smallest spark needed to set off the chain of events leading up to that moment between Master and Servant.
On this particular day, Ritsuka handed Achilles their most lovingly handcrafted chocolate to express their affections for their favourite Rider, only to be met with his earnest to a fault expression as he asks, “...but what's the occasion?”
Ritsuka themselves, realizing the limited scope of topics of knowledge that the Grail bestows upon Servants, lights up in excitement and explains every single detail from the origins of Valentine’s to the modern day customs with an uncanny fervour.
As he stands there listening to Ritsuka's long winded explanation, the words coming out of his Master’s mouth all begin to blur together into a mess, yet he catches onto one particular detail: “a return gift”. Caught off guard, his mind wanders, Eh... what exactly can I do or give...?
Ritsuka claps, “...Hey! Are you listening, Achilles?”
Jolted from his thoughts, he gives an awkward chuckle when he realizes that his Master has finally stopped talking. “O-oh... yeah!”
He strikes a proud stance, puffing out his chest in mock challenge, "Don't worry, Master, I'll come up with the best gift you've ever had, sure to make our first Valentine's Day together a one to remember!" giving a Ritsuka a teasing nudge and dashes off in a flash of orange.
But despite his bravado, he is still none the wiser about modern day traditions and their intricacies. "What would be good for them? I could give them one of my horses...? Xanthos could keep them company... or maybe my shield? Hm... Or how about I give them the ride of their life on my chariot?" He ponders out loud, laying on the bed that he and his Master shares.
With the clock ticking down, Valentine's Day will soon be coming to an end. Achilles, still deep in his thoughts, hops off the bed and paces back and forth. As he does, his eyes land on some gift wrapping materials on Ritsuka’s desk, the same used for the very present he received just hours ago. Reaching out to inspect the various textures and colours within the pile, a smug grin graces his face.
Oh, I got it. Nothing out there that Ritsuka likes better than the great Achilles. I’ll give them a present that only I can deliver... they won’t even expect what I’ve got in store for them... With that, Achilles strides off with a spring in his step and a flush on his cheek, to gather exactly what he needs to surprise his dearest Master.
After a long day of “work”, or rather, handing out chocolate to every single Servant in Chaldea, Ritsuka heads back to the room weary and ready to get some rest.
While usually, if he’s not already accompanying them, Achilles would already be in there to give them a warm welcome back, eager to catch up on time missed between the two of them. Yet on this night, the room is oddly quiet with everything shrouded in darkness.
With a flick of the light switch, the results of Achilles' planning are revealed.
Bound by swathes of red and gold ribbon, Achilles kneels enticingly on the bed with his legs in a wide stance. The fly of his pants undone just enough that his most intimate area is exposed, standing as tall and proud as it’s owner, eagerly waiting in anticipation.
In the corner of his mouth, he cheekily hangs onto a silver wrapped condom as he looks at Ritsuka with a seductive gaze, allowing it to drop in front of him as he opens his mouth to speak the words he’s been preparing himself to say:
"Happy Valentine's Day, Master..."

Past Curfew - A Phandoms Valentines Day event Danny/Valerie shipfic
That ghost- “Ah, sorry Dad, I zoned out.” That's what she gets for trying to trust a ghost. “I am studying at…”
“Danny Fenton’s house.”
“D-Danny’s house! Danny Fenton… We have a Biology project together.. I got caught up working on it so that's what I have been.. Doing….” She spun around to try and catch Phantom and question how he knew who Danny was, but she wasn’t able to catch anything because just like earlier, he was gone. She scowled into the night air, fist clenching and unclenching rapidly.
Floating invisible a few feet away from Valerie, Danny smiled to himself for being able to help her with her problem before the reality of the situation sank in. He nearly hit himself for how stupid he was for suggesting himself. She didn’t know that Danny is Phantom, and that could seriously blow his cover.
-----------------
‘Why do I even bother? There’s hardly ever any ghosts out at this time.’
Phantom groaned inwardly as he flew across Amity Park. The air was chilled with early autumn winds, but of course he still found himself out and about at night despite the cold. The stars blinked in understandment and pity. Orion bowed his head in apology as Danny raced past his school. Well, he didn’t actually bow to him, considering he was a cluster of stars after all, but Danny felt the sentiment within himself anyways.
Honestly, he had no idea why he still did this, patrolling the city. There were hardly any ghosts out at night since all of them fed on people’s attention and love and emotions. But he has happened upon a few in the past so he can’t let himself stop now. It’s also become part of his routine. He plugs in his earbuds to his shitty ipod, hums along to this playlist Sam made him, and scopes the city.
Amity Park was peaceful at night. Like he said, there were no ghosts and it was all just empty streets or the occasional cat roaming the streets. Lamp Posts were the only light to be seen, and it was rather serene. The air smelled less like car emissions and more like fall. Danny appreciated it, even though the act of being out this late directly cut into his sleep time.
Floating down onto the edge of the town’s radio tower, Danny leaned back and closed his eyes for a minute. He would often sit up here and watch the stars on more boring nights, but he was particularly tired tonight. A part of him wanted to retire early and head back home, but the core within him buzzed angrily at even the smallest thought of that. He couldn’t rest after making sure that Amity would be okay while he slept. He couldn’t let her down like that, even though his eyes begged to stay closed.
He could lay up here for a second longer though. Or at least that was what he thought until a sharp clang echoed from behind him.
Instantly he jumped up, clumsily ripping out his earbuds and shoving them into his jumpsuit’s sole pocket. Danny whipped around, shooting up into the sky to try and catch whatever made the racket, yet nothing was there.
What the hell?
With slight hesitance, he lowered himself down to the top of the radio tower again. Taking a few seconds to glance around, his hand automatically reached for his thermos. The radio tower was all steel bars from the top to the bottom, so he could see all the way through it. And now that he was closer, he could see a figure hiding down at the layer right beneath the one he stood at.
Without thinking, Danny became intangible, dropping through the bars and down to the layer below him. Instantly he was on top of the ghost that was stalking him. Pride erupted in his core as he launched both him and the ghost off of the tower. The scenery around him was practically glowing to illuminate their match of strengths. The ghost yelped and started grabbing at Danny as they fell quickly towards the ground.
A second before they crash landed, his opponent wrestled with him, easily flipping him to become underneath them with a growl. A second too late, Danny turned intangible, his back aching from the impact. He shakily pulled them both deep into the ground before soaring back up into the sky. The ghost grabbed onto Danny’s hair and ripped at it, while screaming at him.
“Phantom you horrid beast, let go of me this instant!!”
Gasping a pained breath of air, Danny took the opportunity while the ghost was focused on yanking out his hair- which really hurt by the way- to throw them against the ground. Unfortunately Danny got dragged with them, a factor he upsettingly didn’t consider, and they both went tumbling through a patch of dirt and grass.
Danny rolled through the dirt, clovers flying everywhere and his entire outfit becoming grass stained. His body skipped a few times along the ground like a rock thrown against a river before he finally came to a pained stop. His bones ached and his head got rattled around from the fall. Every fiber of him screamed at him to just lie there for a second before he hurt himself more, but there his core was, still loud as ever.
Now is your chance. Destroy that ghost for even raising a hand against you.
Power surged through him, and suddenly Danny was standing, stalking over to where his opponent- his prey- laid recovering. His nails turned claws bore outwards. They ached to carve into this feeble ghost who dared to challenge him with so little power. Just look at them laying there, glow already so weak, nearly nonexistent…
Nearly…?
“Valerie?”
At the mention of her name, Valerie, the Red Huntress, shot up and launched herself at Danny. Her mask was damaged in their fight, so her hair billowed out of the broken glass, eyes sharp and promising to stab literal daggers into her own opponent, Phantom.
Without warning, her fist collided directly with Danny’s nose, forcing him backwards with a loud yelp. Her leg then kicked outwards, intentionally tripping him back even further. Falling right onto his ass, Danny’s head hit the ground soon after with another loud collision. Pain instantly shot down his spine.
“Huntress wait-”
“How dare you attack me, Ghost! I knew you were nothing but evil, all of you.” Danny held his head in his hands, cradling it as Valerie threatened him. Most of him felt guilty for attacking a human, but the rational part of him said that it was just Valerie and she could take it, and barely counted as human at this point. Most humans aren’t half nano-bot robots or even full vigilante ghost hunters.
Danny finally opened his eyes to look up at her, just to see a Ghost blaster pointed directly at his face. With no more than a scowl, he rolled to the left, dodging her attack. Not even sparing a glance to the grass remnants that burned slightly from where she shot.
“I thought you were a ghost!” Danny shouted as he flew upwards, dodging another shot from Valerie. “You were literally stalking me earlier!”
A blast ricocheted off the radio tower in the background and barely missed Danny’s leg as it came shooting back.
“That's because you are up to no good, ghost!” Another shot was fired that promptly missed. Valerie scowled at the disadvantage she had from being on the ground. She quickly released her hoverboard and hopped onto it, now racing after Phantom. “I was trying to see what you were doing!”
“I was-” He quickly ducked under an ecto shot. “Just doing my patrols!” Danny’s legs merged together, becoming one ghost tail. He zipped past Valerie, circling around the tower climbing up in height at the same time. “I do this literally every day!”
“Therein lies the problem, Phantom.” She hissed his name with pure venom. Head shooting from side to side trying to find where he went, she stood still on the Hoverboard, flying in one spot. Blood thrummed in her ears, adrenaline and hatred pushing her to keep fighting. One hand on the trigger, she began to point it at every little movement she saw.
“You are not fit to be doing patrols. A ghost fighting other ghosts? No one knows your motives, and while you may have the rest of the town tricked, I will not believe that you are a fit ‘protector.’” She quickly whipped around, shooting right behind her, just for it to go through nothing. With a frown she lowered her blaster slightly. “It's all some act you are putting on for whatever it is that you are trying to do.”
Despite her attempt at trying to antagonize him, there came no response, just silence. A bird in a tree nearby, chirped to his children. A few grasshoppers could be heard singing together. Even her hoverboard was emitting a low hum. But no Phantom.
Now frustrated with the games he is obviously playing on her, Valerie shot angrily into the sky. Just aimlessly shooting. It helped release a bit of the anger that she held for the ghost. She was too busy destroying random clouds to notice that her hoverboard buckled slightly under the weight of another person.
A chill swept over her neck suddenly, making her hair stand on end.
The air turned stiff and sour as she finally felt the dry breath of a ghost behind her.
“V a l e r i e . . . “
Her heart raced as she found herself unable to move.
“Y o u r . . . ”
My…?
“Phone is ringing. You might want to answer that."
She was suddenly snapped out of her stupor. Spinning around, she pointed her blaster at Phantom who smiled innocently and simply pointed to her back pocket. Valerie glared at him, and with her free hand, she felt behind her just to find that her phone was indeed ringing. Now directing her glare at her phone, she nearly hit ignore until she caught the name of the caller ID.
Shit! It's her dad.
Fumbling with her phone, she clumsily dropped her blaster, which Phantom picked up to her dismay, and rushed to answer the call.
“Hey dad. Sorry I didn’t see your call sooner, I was..” Phantom caught a kick in the shin, which he inhaled sharply at. “..busy.”
See, Danny was above interrupting one of his classmates while they were on the phone with their parents. Unlucky for him, this specific classmate wanted his pelt on her wall. Still, manners come first, so he chose to float aimlessly and be vaguely distracting while she was on call.
He watched as she spoke in hushed voices to her phone. She kept shooting annoyed glares at him before worriedly turning back to her father.
“No, I know I am out past curfew- I am sorry, I-I just got caught up…”
Her voice trailed off, and Danny could tell she was being scolded by her father. She looked more defensive than he had ever seen her. It was kind of sad to watch actually. His heart panged for the girl.
“Oh- doing what? Uh- I was just…” Her words fumbled around in her mouth, unable to come up with an excuse off the top of her head. Valerie couldn’t help but look over at Phantom for any sort of help, but he was not there.
He rubbed his eyes in frustration before glancing back over at Valerie. While she seemed more confused than anything else, a bit of tension seemed to leave her shoulders. She was talking more fluidly to her dad, explaining the made up Biology project to him now that she had an idea to build off of.
Part of him wanted to stay to make sure she got everything covered with her dad. While he had no obligation to make sure she was okay, especially since her life was in danger, he still wanted to, as her friend.
Even though they weren’t friends. Not when he was like this.
“Yeah, uh.. You can pick me up at his house…”
Wait what??
Danny shot a panicked look at Valerie who was quickly powering back on her hoverboard, nodding along to the phone. “Yeah, you can come get me now, we just finished up.”
Goddamn it Valerie! He did not expect her to offer to be picked up. Doesn’t she walk home and stuff? He knows it’s late but it’s not like it’s midnight.. Yet…
He was hoping to get at least a final word in to her before he ran off, but she is already soaring up into the sky. No matter what, he can’t let her beat him home. And what is he supposed to tell Jazz?
How does he always get himself into these stupid situations?
With that final thought, he launched off ahead of her, racing back to his house.
—
How does she always get herself into these stupid situations?
That's the exact thought Valerie had as she found herself soaring through the sky above clouds heading directly to FentonWorks.
She has too many questions and she is beyond confused, but she doesn't really have the chance to answer any of them right now. She needed to get to Danny’s house before her dad got there.
While flying, she took a quick second to ponder why the hell Phantom suggested she show up to Danny’s house. Did he know Danny? Was he waiting there to surprise attack her? Or is this just an elaborate set up to get her laughed at by a cute boy from her class.
All were perfectly plausible to her and it infuriated her that she could pinpoint which reason it was. God forbid that he was trying to help her. That wasn’t how Phantom worked.
What a fool she was to trust him.
She quickly arrived at the large half-laboratory-half-house. Dropping onto the sidewalk and ducking into the alleyway closest to the building, she deactivated her Red Huntress outfit and shrunk away her hoverboard.
Working up the nerves, Valerie walked up to FentonWorks. She stared up at it before going to knock on the door before she hesitated, hand paused right before knocking.
A large part of her still screamed to run, but she knew she couldn’t afford to do that right now. She would just explain to Danny that she needed to use him as a cover, and he would understand. He skips class half of the time and she is sure he wouldn’t want his parents to know that.
A shiver washed over her and she quickly whipped around, expecting to find Phantom but there was nothing there but the night air.
God, she must be going crazy. First trusting a Ghost, now feeling things that aren't there. With a loud huff, Valerie finally knocked on the door.
The door instantaneously swung open to reveal Danny who seemed beyond out of breath.
“Ah, Danny!”
“Val-” He wheezed out, clutching his stomach. He held a hand up to ask for a second as he panted against the door frame. Valerie just watched with awkward helplessness as he caught his breath.
It took an embarrassingly long second for him to look back up to her, his face flushed. “Sorry- just uh.. Went on a run, then…. Ran down the stairs.. To…” He stared at her for a second with a vaguely confused look. “Answer the door… What are you doing here?”
“Im…. working on a group project with you apparently.” She put it bluntly, hoping he would catch on fast enough.
“But we don't have a project together?”
Of course this couldn’t have been that simple. “No, just- ugh.” Valerie nearly slapped herself in the forehead. Why was this so stupidly difficult? “Can I just come inside to explain it? My dad will be here soon.”
Danny slipped backwards into the house, holding the door open for her. Inside the house she was greeted with a living room littered with family pictures and random ghost hunting equipment tossed to the side. One photo caught her eye of who she assumed to be Danny from when he was in middle school.
He had longer hair then but seemed to be shrunk into himself. He donned a dark blue NASA hoodie and a crooked smile. The hoodie seemed too big, and the smile seemed too forced. Something about the photo shot a slight pang in Valerie’s chest. He just seemed unlike himself there.
“Ah, don't look at that one. I keep telling Mom to take it down but she insists on keeping it.”
Glancing up at Danny, she had to remark that he seemed to grow into himself over the years. She didn’t know him when he was younger, but he seemed happier now. Mostly. Right now he seemed embarrassed and a bit annoyed, but overall he didn’t seem to curl into himself as much.
It made Valerie happy that he was able to find himself.
“You had longer hair back then.” She offered with a teasing smile. He simply frowned back at her, though it didn’t seem to meet his eyes which shined brightly. “What? I like it!”
“Well you would agree with my parents then.” His hand moved to scratch the back of his neck somewhat awkwardly. There was a second of silence before he dropped his hand and turned to Valerie fully. “Soo, what is up?”
Right, back to why she was here. “You skip school a lot so I assumed you would understand that I needed a cover for my dad.” She explained, watching as he frowned again at her comment. “Don’t even pretend it’s not true. You run out of class every other period.”
“Yeah well…” He didn’t have an argument to that, but she didn’t have to point it out like that. “I have things I need to do…..”
“Oh yes, I am sure you do.” Valerie rolled her eyes. “Unlike whatever you ‘have to do’, I really was busy today. So please cover for me when my dad gets here. We were just working on a biology project together. I will do the talking so you don't have to worry about anything.”
She pushed past him and set her bag down on the couch, pulling out her phone checking to see if her dad texted her.
The room seemed to flicker slightly before another shudder washed over her. Her heart rate spiked as she quickly spun around to punch the ghost sneaking up behind her, just for her to make direct contact with Danny’s nose.
The force of the punch made Danny trip over his own feet, falling straight onto the floor with a loud yelp. Valerie gasped and quickly ran over to him.
“Danny! Oh my god I am so sorry-”
“Man, what is your problem?? I let you into my house, I cover for you, and then out of nowhere you punch me!!” He exclaimed while holding his nose in his hand. A bit of blood dripped past his fingers onto the floor.
“I really didn't mean to, I just thought you were a ghost.” She attempted to explain, but it just seemed to make him more upset.
“Oh and that justifies punching me??” He began to pull himself up off the floor, before Valerie leaned down to try and help him up but he just pushed her off of him. “Don't. We don’t need you thinking I'm a ghost again and jumping me.”
He shoved past her, heading into the kitchen. Valerie quickly followed after him, abandoning her bag on the couch. “Look, I said it was an accident. I have been on edge recently. I didn’t mean to attack you.
“On edge of what Val? What has got you so freaked out that you had to take it out on me?” The sink began running as Danny wet a napkin for his nose. The air was thick with tension on both ends. While she was trying to apologize, he just kept antagonizing her.
She really thought she liked him and now he just keeps getting on her nerves. She really didn’t mean to hurt him, but she would have sworn she felt the chill of a ghost behind her. That was something she had gotten really good at detecting recently. It is nearly never wrong so god forgive her for trusting it.
Before she could answer, Danny turned around to face her, shooting her another glare. He seemed beyond disheveled now that she was getting an even closer look at him. It all seems well hidden but he has a poorly hidden bruise on his cheek that must have been cleaned off with the napkin. It made even more guilt eat at her for hurting him when he already seemed off.
Right now he seemed to resemble the Danny she saw in the photo earlier. How did she mess it up with him that fast?
Hesitation raced through her before she pushed through it, walking up to Danny. He winced away from her, but she just took the napkin gently from his hands. As softly as she could, she leaned his head backwards a bit and held the napkin up to his nose. It was a bit of an awkward position, but she knew this helped keep the blood from spilling the best.
“I really am sorry Danny.. I took up….. Another job..” She stared down at the bloody napkin with a frown. “It has been stressful but I really wanted to help my dad however I could. He doesn't want me to so I have been having to hide it, but… it really isn't fun. It's stressful and has been wearing on me a lot and has left me paranoid I suppose.”
Danny watched her with a slight hesitation as she spoke. She was just glad he wasn’t pushing her away. “It is no excuse, but I just thought you would want to know.”
While it wasn’t the whole truth, it was the closest she has ever gotten to telling anyone. It lifted a bit of the anxiety that laid on her heart.
A moment passed between them before Danny spoke up. “I understand. I really do Val. I am sorry for lashing out at you as well.” He gently motioned her to step back as he took the napkin back. He pinched his nose for a minute before standing up straight again. His eyes softened from the glare he previously held. “It's not easy holding onto a secret that big and not being able to tell anyone, even your closest friends. I get it.”
Tossing the napkin out before grabbing another one, Danny sighed to himself quietly. Valerie just stood there as he took a second to think. “I know I am not the most ideal person to talk to, I bet. There's probably loads of people you would wanna talk to about your stuff before me, but I understand you, I really do, and I am here to listen if you ever want to talk.”
There weren’t many people Valerie would trust talking to about any of her struggles, but especially not Ghost hunting. Danny wasn’t on that list either, at least not until tonight. She has her doubts about how well he actually understands, but there was something so genuine in his eyes that she couldn’t help but trust him.
“...Okay.. Thank you Danny, I appreciate it.”
He shot her a slightly bloody thumbs up and a goofy lopsided grin. “Anytime Val.”
They held eye contact which made Valerie feel soft inside in a way she hasn’t felt in a long time. In perfect timing though, there was a knock on the door.
“Ah, I bet that was my dad, I should get going.” She explained, nodding towards the entranceway.
“Oh definitely.” Danny said, following her out back into the living room while she grabbed her bag. He beat her to the door and opened it for her. “It was nice having you over, to work on the project.” He quickly added as she left.
She just rolled her eyes with a small smile. “Of course. Thanks for having me.” Valerie waved goodbye to Danny as she walked down the steps to the street with her dad. She loaded her stuff into the front seat with her as her dad started the car.
Finally she could relax.
“What happened to his nose? It seemed busted up. Did you do that Valerie? I thought you stopped the whole ‘fighting your classmates’ thing.”
Nevermind apparently.

My Pietro and Sal gameplay have both been interesting and led to me having so many different headcanons. I’ve always struggled playing Fallout 4 because my main gripe is that I can’t recreate ANY oc want due to them having a set backstory and dialogue that reinforces certain plot things, but Pietro has a pretty good Sole Survivor AU. He's canon divergent though. More undercut!
-Pietro Impellizzeri was an notorious and powerful gangster Pre-War. He’s similar to Vito Corleone of The Godfather in the sense that he immigrated to America as a child and rose to the top of his community’s underworld.
-He had crossed paths with the human Nick Valentine on numerous occasions over ‘missing people’ as well as a ‘dirty money trail,’ but Pietro always knew how to throw the detective off. They were neither enemies nor friends, just merely people who kept a tense eye on one another.
-As a Boss, in terms of his conduct, Pietro was a composed, fair man but he was also known to be ruthless when the situation called for it. Outside of public events, he was seldom seen. If his men saw him it meant something bad was going to happen. Despite having such affluence and respect, Pietro's over-indulgence in the finest things (liquor, media, women) kept him blind to the things going wrong in his personal life.
-Pietro was married to Jasmine, who was a pinup model before marrying him. Their marriage was based on sex, possession and material interests. Ultimately, Pietro was a largely inattentive husband due to the demanding nature of keeping things afloat in his criminal empire.
-As a nuclear war approached, Jasmine began a series of affairs with men. Some powerful, some were Pietro’s enemies. Her wrongdoings ranged from supplying large sums of money to her lovers, to telling inside secrets. There came a moment, days before the bomb dropped, when Pietro (at his limit) considered murdering his wife. However, this did not come to be as the bombs fell over America.
-Needless to say, when Kellogg shoots Jasmine, Pietro feels guilt. Yes, he was plotting to murder her, but he knew that line of thinking wasn’t right. He doesn’t come into the Wasteland in the pursuit of being a better, kinder man, instead his decent actions come largely from the need to survive and understand the world he’s in.
Whereas Sal comes out Vault 111 ready to murder and massacre anyone in Eve’s name, Pietro’s mentality is: “I need to understand what civilization is like now. I need to know who is in charge of things.” Especially because since Pietro has been at the top for so long, it’s been years since he was doing dirty work for himself, let alone personally killing others on a continuous basis.
-When Pietro meets Nick Valentine there’s tension. But, they recognize they need each other to find Shaun, however there isn’t full trust between the men. Gradually, as the two spend more time together, Nick believes that Pietro can become a good man in this new world and often pushes the idea that Pietro is kind. Pietro does not believe himself to be kind, because he’s not burying the man he used to be before the bombs fell.
-There are times when Nick and Pietro split and his companions become MacCready, who reminds him of a lackey he would’ve used Pre-War, and Preston, who is yet another character who believes there’s an inner goodness in him. As a result of Preston and Nick - plus an envy for the mayor of Diamond City, Pietro decides to invest time in building the Minutemen and building settlements to lead. Despite possessing aspirations to lead, Pietro is shifting morally. Often, Nick helps him on Minutemen quests which strengthens their relationship.
-While helping settlements, Pietro meets Rosaria at Covenant. The woman is a secretary for Jacob Orden, the town’s mayor. Even when Pietro seems like he could be trouble for the settlement, she helps him learn more about the Amelia Stockton case with her insider information. After that, she leaves Covenant to affiliate herself with the Minutemen, which allows Pietro to see her more often. Time with Rosaria [who enjoys farming] has Pietro nostalgic about Sicily and as a consequence, he grows to enjoy things about nature as well as treasure the present he gets to spend with her.
-And that’s all for now because I haven’t completed his run yet 😘
#hes complicated af and i love him#this is a minuteman run he's not interested in the brotherhood. institute. or railroad#oc: pietro

HIiiii! Could I request a letter for your Valentines Day Letter Event?
I’d like one with Nanami Kento with civilian Fem!Reader please. For pet names, im a sucker if he called me ‘love’ in the letter.
We’re in an established relationship for a few years; meeting him during his office era and supporting him going back to being a sorcerer
Tone/Genre: adoration and attention. he’s been very busy and hasn’t been giving me much attention so he acknowledges the things that I’ve been doing and praising them.
Location: we live together, but hasnt been home in a while since he’s been busy with work. He left the letter on the bedside table saying that he’ll see me very soon (he took the day off and is making breakfast now)
Other info:
Were around 27/28 I’m a very loud person but only when comfortable and don’t need the praise of others; however it’s rewarding when I think someone doesn’t care is actually very attentive on what I’ve accomplished. I carry out my own activities (sports, music, cooking) while striving for my carrier (studying and planning). But gets lost easily and gets touched starved and he’s there to ground me, even though it doesn’t seem like he likes it, it’s always something he’s looking forward to.
Thank you! And btw I really admire the changes you’re making within your blog!! Been here since the beginning and will be here to support. Always sending hugs!
Nanami's Love Letter to His Girlfriend
This event is now CLOSED, but you can view the masterlist for the other letters here.
| Pairing: Nanami x Fem!Reader| Genre: Fluff | Post-Type: Letter | Word Count: 790 |
Warnings: kissing
Note: Hey! Thank you so much and Happy Valentine's Day! Hope you like your letter from Nanami! <3
You awaken that morning with a sigh as you look at the empty space beside you–another day of not seeing your boyfriend. Of course you knew he was busy with his sorcerer work, claiming there was a rise of curses around and they needed as many hands on deck to get rid of them.
You felt bad for him, knowing how much he hated working overtime and would much rather do the work he needed to do for the day so he could return to you, but that wasn’t possible.
Sighing once more, you turn around to hop out your side of the bed, when a small envelope with your name on it catches your eye. With furrowed brows you sit with your feet dangling off the side of the bed and open the envelope to read it’s contents;
Good morning love,
I’m sorry I’ve been away for a few days, you don’t know how much I missed falling asleep beside you, holding you tightly in my arms; it’s the only way I can get a full night of rest now.
Thankfully I was able to finish up my work quick enough to make it back today. Happy Valentine’s Day, my love. Is that cheesy to say? I just love having a day where I can love you till my heart's content all day long; not that I'd complain about doing that every day, you know I would.
I see how hard you’ve been working, keeping yourself busy while I was away to help pass the time. You’re truly a remarkable woman, I can’t believe you’re mine. You’ve been with me through it all, and I hope I can do the same for you now. Despite this heavy burden of being a sorcerer, I’ll make it all up to you, I vow this to you.
I’ll see you sooner than you think. I love you dearly.
Kento.xx.
Your heart races as you read the letter. Had he stopped by to drop it off while you were asleep? Excitement runs through you at the thought of being able to see him again soon. Especially on a day that was supposed to be dedicated to love…it was perfect.
A sudden rustle from outside your bedroom door has you alert as you think of the worst. Was it a curse? An intruder? Or…possibly the man you were longing to see?
You quickly tuck your feet into your slippers before hastily running towards the sound, not caring that it could be something dangerous, just knowing there was a chance that it was Nanami, had adrenaline running through your veins.
The sound carries you all the way to the kitchen where lo and behold, a tall blond was standing with his back facing you, as he worked away in front of the stove, the sudden smell of food filling your nose. He had your apron tied around his waist with his sleeves rolled up, showing his forearms–his usual attire on.
“Kento…” you mumble, causing Nanami to spin around, his eyes softening as they meet yours. He moves the pan off the stove and hurries to where you’re standing, scooping you up in his arms (IDC IF YOU'RE 80 POUNDS OR 500 POUNDS, THIS MAN WILL SCOOP YOU UP! OKAY????)
He presses a gentle kiss to your forehead, his arms wrapping tightly around you, “Good morning, love” his soothing voice whispers in your ear, nibbling on your earlobes as he does so, getting a reaction out of you.
You have to stop the tears from spilling from your eyes as you wrap your arms around him, nuzzling your face into the crook of his neck.
“I missed you,” you say softly, clinging onto him for dear life. You wouldn’t let him run away from you again today. Today he was all yours. “When did you come back?”
“Not too long ago. I finished what I needed to do. The situation is stable for now. The others have it under control so I came to see you. I have to leave again tomorrow though, but today, you have my undivided attention,” he mumbles, gently pulling your chin up, his lips crashing onto yours.
“Mm and first on our schedule is breakfast. Hope you’re hungry,” he presses one last kiss to your lips before putting you down and taking your hand as he leads you to the stove where an array of different foods are already cooked for you.
He had gone above and beyond for you that morning, but it was the least he could do for the one he loved dearly. And it was only the beginning of your day together. He had plenty more up his sleeve to show you how much you truly meant to him.

----- It all started with a dimebag.
Well, actually, it started long before that, not that Eddie had any clue back then.
For him though, it started with a dimebag.
“You’ve gotta be kidding me,” Eddie said, huffing out an incredulous laugh as he stared down Steve Harrington, waiting for the other shoe to drop.
Despite what his new sheep seemed to think about the former King of Hawkins High, Eddie knew guys like Harrington. They didn’t change, or somehow suddenly evolve into not shitty humans. They were high school has-beens, losers, dicks who never had to grow up because daddy would always be there to protect them.
Steve coming to see him alone after Hellfire? The only way that was going to end was with a plastic baggie and cash exchanging hands, or some kind of fucked up prank that he would laugh about with his other jock douchebags for all of a week.
But King Steve hadn’t done either of those things. In an increasingly confusing turn of events, Harrington had apparently come to him to ask Eddie to sell weed to Jonathan Byers.
Jonathan Byers… the guy who stole his girlfriend right out from under him.
“Look man, he’s too nervous to come to you directly, and I wouldn’t give a fuck about buying for him, but I know you still charge me the asshole tax-” Steve said, running his fingers through his oh-so-perfect hair and sighing as he turned back to Eddie with an even more determined look in his eye.
“You earned the asshole tax, Harrington,” Eddie cut in, a bit harsher than he meant to. Steve almost flinched back and Eddie bit his tongue before he could start ranting. He didn’t really care about Steve’s feelings, but he wasn’t looking to become one of the bullies that he constantly railed against.
Besides, he wanted answers, and he wouldn’t get those from antagonizing Steve past the point of conversation.
“Regardless,” Steve continued on, “I told him that I can’t keep floating the extra cash and he has to start buying from you directly.”
Steve had repeated that same point about five times in this conversation, but Eddie still didn’t get it. No matter how he tried to rearrange it, he just couldn’t make it make sense.
“So you, Steve “The Hair” Harrington, have been buying weed for Jonathan Byers, and you’re just paying the extra money that I charge you for your high school jock tendencies out of the goodness of your ever-so-loving heart?” Eddie asked rhetorically, raising a brow.
Steve nodded anyway and Eddie crossed his arms, his brow furrowing at the completely innocent expression on Steve’s face.
“Why?”
That was the question wasn’t it? What did Steve get out of all of this? Having something to hold over Jonathan couldn’t be worth that much, the asshole tax was a pretty big hike after all. Besides, Will was one of the kids he drove around town all the time.
Were they…friends? Was that even possible?
“Will you do it?” Steve asked, bluntly avoiding the question with a look that told Eddie he wasn’t getting any answers.
“He knows where the picnic table is and what my hours are,” Eddie answered, starting to get bored of the cryptic conversation, “You didn’t have to come here for all this.”
“Look, Jonathan’s been through a lot-”
“You’re telling me that?” Eddie said, a sharp laugh exploding from his chest at the hypocrisy of that statement. Unless he was forgetting, it was Harrington that had beat Jonathan’s face in two years ago, not him.
This time Steve actually did flinch back, his entire body on guard and defensive, coiled like a snake and ready to strike. Eddie was ready for a blow, a punch to the gut or a new black eye to sport for the next few weeks.
But it never came.
Harrington just…stood there, walls high as can be, obviously uneasy but unwilling to leave until he got what he had come here for. The vicious little joy he had gotten at finally landing a hit on the impervious King Steve was quickly waning the longer they just stood there, looking at each other, regret pressing down on the deep buried wounds Eddie hid in his chest.
He knew better than most how much it hurt to constantly have your own failures thrown back in your face.
“Are you done being a douchebag?” Steve asked quietly when the silence had gotten appropriately uncomfortable. Eddie jerked his head upwards in a nod and Steve sighed again, looking away and letting his eyes wander around the drama room rather than look at Eddie.
“All I’m askin’ is that you don’t overcharge him, and don’t do your whole scary demon leader thing. ‘Kay?”
“And I should listen to you, why?” Eddie asked, leaning back and sliding up to sit on the table, faux nonchalance dripping from every pore. He wasn’t looking to be too mean, not anymore, but it was still fun to watch Harrington squirm a little bit.
“Because if you don’t I’ll sic our mutual children on you, and, trust me, you don’t want to be on Will Byers’s shit list.” Steve said with a wry little grin, obviously thinking about all the ways the kids would make Eddie’s life hell if he said no. “By the way, they don’t know Jon smokes, so don’t tell them.”
“All sales are sacrosanct, as you know,” Eddie immediately responded, his personal code jumping out.
Eddie was a lot of things, but he was no snitch. Munsons never turned, never gave up anything that they had been given to hide, not even on the threat of death. His father was shitty for many, many, reasons, but Al had taught him at least one good thing.
“Why does Byers need so much weed anyway?” Eddie asked, trying to turn the conversation casual again, “I thought you were smoking like every night for those migraines the brats are always going on about.”
It was a completely normal thing to say, nothing sharp or biting in the slightest, but the second the words were out of his mouth, all of the blood drained from Steve’s face, and his hand immediately shot up to rub at the side of his neck. He even took a step back, needing extra space between them for some damn reason.
“Nah, I don’t um-” Steve took a deep shaking breath, looking like he had seen a monster. “Drugs aren’t really my thing anymore.”
Drugs weren’t his thing?
Even before the concussions, Harrington was one of Eddie’s top customers. And after getting his head bashed in, Steve was at the picnic table making weekly transactions, always for the same exact amount of product. They almost had it down to a science- 40 bucks, two baggies, have a nice day.
But something about the way Steve was holding himself- the hunched up shoulders and the way his eyes looked about a thousand miles away- it just felt bad.
There was pain there, deep, unnerving pain, and it made Eddie believe every word he was saying.
“After-” Steve cut himself off again, forcing another deep breath in, this one more steady. Eddie could almost physically see Steve put himself back together, the mask of aloof uncaring King Steve coming over his face in a way that was comforting in its familiarity, but disturbing in its motion.
“Drugs aren’t my thing anymore,” Steve repeated, voice sturdy and walls ten miles high.
“Okay, no worries,” Eddie said, unable to keep all of the gentleness out of his voice. He didn’t exactly want to treat Harrington like one of his lost sheep, but he couldn’t help the urge to protect that came over him any time he saw someone in need. “Uh- tell Byers to meet me on Tuesdays. I’ll- um- charge him the friends and family discount.”
Eddie never had a problem overcharging rich jerks from Loch Nora, but he could swing a bit of an income dip for another kid with one parent and way too many bills on the table.
“Tuesday and Friday,” Steve countered, like they were in a fricken tennis match.
“Tuesday and Friday it is,” Eddie agreed easily, hopping down from his spot and walking towards the door patting Steve twice on the shoulder as he passed him, enjoying the way it made the other boy jump.
Some things would just never change, and freaking out a jock was still one of life’s beautiful little pleasures.
The two of them walked out of the school in an amicable silence. They weren’t friends, Eddie could never imagine thinking of Steve like that, but they weren’t exactly enemies. Steve was no longer who he had been, if the kids were to be believed, but that didn’t matter much to Eddie. He had still been that person, and that was enough reason to dislike him.
Was there a word for that? A word for a person whom you no longer hated, but still didn’t really care to know? There had to be people in the world who had dealt with this particular issue.
Eddie was so deep in his thoughts that he barely noticed walking out the door and down the steps. He only realized they were at their destination when Steve broke away, turning and going in the opposite direction.
“Thanks,” Harrington called out with a toss of his hand over his shoulder, walking towards his lonely Beemer in the other corner of the parking lot.
“Oh yeah, sure,” Eddie muttered, still distracted by the question.
Eddie cared about the brats, he knew that. He was handing down the legacy of Hellfire to those hellions, and he knew they would do well. And the kids cared about Steve, for some inexplicable reason. Henderson was desperate to make them best friends for god's sake.
Well, best friends they would never be, but maybe an olive branch would push them towards something better. If Harrington was going to be in his life more, Eddie at least wanted it to be bearable.
“Hey Steve?” Eddie shouted from across the parking lot, catching Steve’s attention and making him turn around.
“If you- um- ever decide drugs are ‘your thing’ again, I’ll cut your asshole tax in half,” Eddie offered, feeling inexplicably embarrassed and trying to hide his blush behind his hair, “For Henderson, you know?”
“Just be nice to Jonathan, that’s all I’m askin’ for!” Steve shouted back.
Jonathan.
Eddie shook his head, jogging over to his van and fumbling for the keys, nearly dropping them as he went to unlock the door.
“Jonathan fucking Byers what are you bringing into my life?” Eddie mumbled to himself, already sure that this was going to lead to absolutely nothing good.

Always Here [Miya Atsumu]
Content: Established Relationship, Married Couple, Depression, Familial Relationships, Emotional Hurt/Comfort, POV Second Person, Reader-Insert
Pronouns: None
Header: @/tsumoos
Reblogs: Let me know that you enjoy my work and want to see more, so don’t forget to like and reblog (and comment in the tags. I love seeing people’s rambles in the tags)!
This work’s concepts, plot and original characters are my own which means I do not allow any sort of creative theft nor do I allow my work to be entered into any sort of A.I. bots. Thank you for respecting my space and boundaries.
Miya Atsumu was a strong man. Not only was he strong physically (which he had to be as the MSBY Black Jackals Setter), but he was also strong emotionally for you. When you had bad days, he was there to support you. When you could barely keep your head above water, arms failing against the tides, he grabbed your hand, and pulled you back in. Saving you for yourself. However, he wasn’t the strongest. No one was. And although you also extended your hands out to him, sometimes he needed a second pair.
“Samu…” You hated to bother him on his day off, but some things were worth it.
“I’m on my way—” You heard shuffling on the other side of the line. “Has he said anything to ya?”
You sighed, bottom lip wobbling. “No, and that’s what’s worrying me the most. He just came home crying—I don't even think he noticed that he was.”
“…Okay, stay on the line with me, will ya?” You knew that he only asked because you yourself were on the verge of collapse.
Osamu was such a good brother to the both of you. You pocketed your phone as the urge to fiddle with your wedding band became stronger. You don’t know what you’d do with Osamu to keep the both of you afloat, but you also felt terrible for always needing him to help you. If you were a better person, then—
“Talk to me. I can hear ya overthinkin’ from here.”
“…sorry.”
“Don’t apologize. I understand what yer going through. Anyway, lemme tell ya about a costumer I had yesterday—” And then he changed the subject just like that.
You chatted with him until he knocked at your door. He looked the same as always with that black cap, and deadpan expression, but his gaze was full of worry, already looking you over. And seeing him…made you break down. You bit your lip hard as you rushed him, grabbing fistfuls of his shirt. His arms immediately wrapped around your frame.
“It’s okay. I’m here now—for the both of ya.”
“I know…thank you, Osamu.”
He pulled you back, a grimace on his face. “Ew. Don’t call me by my name like that—It’s weird.”
You chuckled, despite the tears that were still freshly rolling down your cheeks. “Sorry, Samu.”
“He in the bedroom?” He asked as he fully pulled away from you. You nodded, and he entered your home, heading that way.
You shut and locked the door behind him, then made your way to the bathroom. You took a little extra time to compose yourself (as well as wash your tear stained face) before joining the two of them.
They were on the floor, backs against the bed with their heads peeking over the top. Samu was on the far side, closer to the wall, and when you joined them, Tsumu was in the middle of the both of you. The twins were shoulder to shoulder, so you dropped your head on Tsumu’s other shoulder. A firm way to let him know that you were there—the both of you were.
And after a few moments, his body relaxed, and he sighed.
“Thanks.”
But he didn’t tell either of you what was troubling him. And you’d just have to leave him be, and hope that next time he would open up to the two of you.
Because no matter what, the two of you would always be here for him.
Digs up a plot, so that I can push that we're only 5 followers away from the 750 follower event (and if we reach it before Valentine's Day then it can be Valentine's Day themed aka fluffy)
Anyway, that aside, I really love these two. I also love expressing big, strong men's vulnerabilities, and letting them know that regardless, they're loved. :3c

How would Keith respond to an MC who doesn’t believe they deserve/doesn’t know how to respond to romantic attention? Like, they’re dating Keith and they know they’re dating, but every time Keith tries to give them a gift or do something affectionate in public or anything, they just get this weird stare and start acting very coldly. But it’s not because they don’t like Keith, it’s just because they don’t believe that anyone could really be that seriously into them and they kind of worry that Keith is doing all of this to make fun of them.
Happy Valentine's Day! Here is pain!
(GN!MC x Keith)
Keith stared down at the bouquet in his hands. He'd tried to make this one the most beautiful bouquet he could come up with. He'd tried to add the flowers he'd seen you admire when you visited the flower shop. Since all the bouquets he'd made based on symbolism in the past hadn't been to your liking. He'd hoped that maybe, just maybe, this one would make you smile. But it hadn't. You'd hit him with that same blank expression and your voice had gone ice cold, tearing into him like a sharp blade.
Maybe he'd been too dumb to notice that you hated flowers.
He'd tried chocolate, he'd tried carefully written poems, homemade food shaped like hearts and roses, even things he'd had a hard time affording, but had saved up for. It always got the same reaction out of you. Did you just not like gifts? But you seemed to dislike the dates he poured so much effort into as well. The romantic dinners, the picnics, the boat rides at sunset.
You didn't enjoy any of it.
Was it just him? Perhaps that was it. It was because all these things came from him that you didn't like them. And yet you'd stuck by his side somehow, despite his incompetence and constant failures.
Then, an idea hit him. Maybe there was a type of gift that you would enjoy. One that wouldn't make you sneer or frown or look away.
× × ×
You can't stand this day. Valentine's Day. Everyone made sure to boast about the gifts they got, the events they had planned with their lovers. It only reminds you that no one would do something like that for you sincerely.
You can only feel relief when it's time for you to get home, away from all the hearts, roses, chocolate, and kisses.
You unlock your door and drag your feet in with a sigh. At last, some peace. In the process of taking off your shoes, you notice a red spot on the floor.
You frown. It couldn't be, could it? You finish removing your shoes and crouch down. That's when you also notice the metallic smell in the air. Looking up, you realise it isn't just one spot. Drops of blood trail down your entire hallway, like rose petals, leading to your bedroom.
You can feel the color drain from your face as dread spreads through your body. Slowly, you tip toe around the blood and approach your bedroom door. Fearing the worst, you push it open.
What you find there isn't a dead body or a blood thirsty serial killer. It's your boyfriend, Keith. He's sitting on the bed, shirtless, with several cuts decorating his entire torso. They spell "I love you," followed by your name, which looks to have been carved in deeper than the rest of the words. There's still blood trailing out of them and onto his red stained pants. His eyes are full of tears, most likely from the pain, but he is smiling.
"You didn't like the flowers, so I thought I'd try something different this time. Don't worry, I laid out towels on the bed so I wouldn't stain the sheets. Happy Valentine's Day, my love!"
