It always confuses me when there's such a push to make Damian either short or willowy as an adult, especially when combined with "He takes after Talia 🥰" cause like...

Even discounting the fact that Bruce is a big dude from a family of big dudes (like just look at Thomas and any elseworld where there's a Wayne in the past), it ignores the fact that Talia is also a tall woman. Like the average height of a woman, a brown woman especially, is not that tall. 5'7-5'8 (her average height) is pretty tall for a lady! She's Tim's maximum height ever (except for the Arkham series) and taller than Cass, Stephanie and a lot more women in the franchise. We're just used to saying 6+ for characters.

And even if you do discount Talia (which you shouldn't), Ra's is fucking huge. Like taller than Bruce huge. Like Damian is likely gonna be 6'4 at least with both sides of the family being big.

I was reading the Orphic Argonautica last night and the author has mentioned the various methods of divination Apollo knows and guess what? One of them is prophesying by studying the entrails of organisms. As soon as I read that I was reminded of your headcanon of Apollo being into hepatoscopy for divination and I giggled.

Hehe, so fun fact, the overall practice of divination by studying the entrails of animals (including blood, lungs, intestines and so forth) is extispicy while hepatoscopy is specifically using the liver in prophecy and divination readings.

If, like magic in old text exactly like the sort Medea is described as using, the types of divination spoken about in the texts are reflections of the popular divination cultures of the time, I much rather prefer ascribing those to Apollo than I do some vague, somewhat mysterious power which he uses to see the will of the fates, especially since it's mentioned a few times that he'll teach his sons the language of the birds and how to read their signs and so on and so forth.

In short: HEPATOSCOPY APOLLO IS COOL!! HE'S SO NEAT!! Apollo at the altar who predicts the coming droughts and famines from the entrails of his flock!! It's just such a neat little image (to me)!

Also the Orphic Argonautica bangs, genuinely I hope you enjoy it! Orpheus is an insane man and I do not think him along with the collective subspecies of mythical man known as 'sons of Apollo' get enough credit for how truly unhinged they are at any given point in time.

Admittedly, he did not strike me as particularly... 'Independent' at first, more so a follower as he seemed to tag along and do whatever the Scions asked of him, and what other task was thrust onto him by what I can only assume to be strangers. Without complaint he would help anyone who asked. Nor did it help as I happened to catch him struggle to read. Labels and books both, though if that was why he was quick to grab my attention, I would not say so. The name "Lily Oh'fally" is uncommon for a man and like I, he was not originally from the city either, though I would later come to learn of the events that brought him to one. A much tragic tale for someone that young.

Our paths would continue to cross and I found myself someone reliable, familiar perhaps, as he like I, found difficulty in expressing himself. "Everyone is relying on me..." real talk its so fucking Difficult to have been raised by someone who moralized food down to the molecular level like I know it wasn’t done with intent to hurt me (in fact it was done with intent to save me which is more irritating bc i feel guilty for being so angry bc they really were doing what they thought was right) but being told from basically birth that i must be resilient against any food i found alluring and that not giving into things with any sugar or fat was a sign of strength is actually quite insane whenever i think about it. Being like 5 years old in the supermarket asking if we can get the off brand honey nut cheerios instead of the plain ones and getting a lecture in the middle of the aisle that sweet things are addictive and bad for me and im only going to trap myself in a dopamine cycle and that even the fact that I asked should be a lesson in how dangerous and tempting food can be and im like. Ok. I am a literal child and the what im taking away from this is certain foods are Evil and Evil Foods Taste Better and Feel Good For Your Body and Brain and that once you start indulging you can never stop like. bro i rlly never stood a chance 😭😩

i'm actually still not quite over the fact that oveta and korahi's stories continuously overlap until they finally cross paths in that market. that they don't even say anything to each other, they just smile from their different stalls. oveta rolls her eyes bc kova is being ridiculous and korahi bites her lip so she doesn't laugh and it's so simple, so peaceful, so fucking mundane. they have no idea who the they are to each other. oveta, the girl who killed the queen that destroyed korahi's people, her family. proof that someone tried to fight for them. korahi, the very creature that oveta was almost executed for defending, the push that became a shove to build her own kingdom and write her own laws. proof that nakia failed. but for just that moment, that blip of time, they were just two girls sharing a silent joke, and everything was okay.
