Alright here’s a SM/DM AU, call it Despicable Month or Spooky Me or something

I actually quite like this idea I’d be happy to hear about it

The quality So basically Skid’s Dad is Gru, Lila is Lucy, Suzy is Margo, Pump is Edith with a bit of Stuart thrown in, and Skid is Agnes with a smidge of Bob. No one knows what happened to the Wonder kids’ parents, they just somehow end up in an orphanage with Skid (I’m not yet sure if he should be biologically related to either of his parents or not). Skiddad, probably needing kid sacrifices for the cult or something, adopts all of them one day, but then starts becoming attached. The Spookeez also kinda take the role of the minions, which allows me to focus more on them while also having a legitimate reason to do so (Skid and Pump ARE the main characters after all, and they just- remind me a bit of the minions. MINIONS AREN’T TECHNICALLY IN THIS STORY THOUGH. ARE YOU HAPPY, GOD?). Skiddad sees their eagerness to help him with his “spooky” stuff, and puts them to work spreading chaos and taking care of demons and stuff. His relationship with Suzy is rockier, given that she has abandonment issues that the other two haven’t yet developed.

Anyways they all resolve that somehow, Skiddad meets Lila who works in the police force or something, etc etc.

I also had the idea (which I’ll probably sketch later) that all the villains in DM are all the antagonists from SM, except just really wonderfully over the top and crazy (Like- Bratt levels of sheer aesthetic).

And here’s a Despicable Forces sketch I started before realizing that Roy would make an INFINITELY better Mel than Skid actually would

Pride Month 2024 with Mel the minion (redesign)

I decided to redesign my artwork for this year's Pride Month, as I had a feeling that I can do better.

What I didn't change is Mel's orientation - in my AU, he's demiromantic and demisexual but he discovered this after the events of DM4. Before that, he thought he's aro-ace.

Despite he successfully redeemed himself between the events of DM4 and my AU, I wanted to keep his confident and a little rude attitude (although he's now open-minded, less rude and actually friendly and caring to his tribe).

By the way, Mel's whole name is "Melvin" only in my AU - in canon movies, he's just "Mel".

Finally, I made it so he eventually developed the ability to turn into his mega form and back - he carries the red ornament on his goggles even to his civilian form.
