I just wanted to share that I relate with you, a few years ago I posted that I really hated Sonic Forces, bad game bad story and everything, I then ended up getting someone who send me numerous messages on how wrong I was, I ignored them but they kept going, then they made fun of the way I drew Sonic and I suddenly a week later I got messages on my personal blog mocking me for my post regarding depression thoughts, thinking about suicide and missing my cat who passed away . That really hurt, not helping them was that they constantly told me I drew Sonic out of character, a hobby that helped me cope with my feelings, all this beause I didnt like Forces. I just disabled anon messages for six months. When this year I expressed mild dissapointed with Frontiers gameplay but that I still like the game, I got 4 messages on how wrong I was. I dont get this with the Pokémon fans. It just makes me think there is something fundamentally wrong with the Sonic fanbase.

Jesus. You shouldn't have received that kind of treatment for posting opinions online, and this is coming from someone who leans more towards neutrality on Forces.

It's also funny, not "ha ha" funny, but in an ironic way, as a contrast to our experiences, because once people caught onto the fact that a few of us didn't think the game was utter dogshit and it does have a few good points, they proceeded to double down on their cries of "Pontaff apologist." Apparently saying "No, Forces is not the equivalent of '06" is enough to get people on your ass, but it also seems disliking it garners you harassment.

Plus, they were all too happy to dismiss Frontiers criticism as "you just hate Flynn and are using this an excuse to bash him again and not give him a chance" because Flynn Haters must never have independent thoughts, their hatred of him is just a mindless reflex. They implied this, even though some of us stressed repeatedly that Flynn's involvement ranked pretty low on the reasons we just didn't like the game.

What does that tell you about how mercurial the environment is? At this point I can't imagine being a part of the in-group, how stressful it would be to keep biting my tongue, stifling my real thoughts, just because at any moment someone could arbitrarily decide they don't like my face that day and proceed to use my "shitty opinions" as an excuse to fling abuse at me. If one of my friends says "I don't like SA2, it's overrated and the story sucks," the most I get is annoyed for a while. Then I move on. It's not something I hold against them because ultimately their opinion doesn't have to affect mine.

Somehow, though, this fandom acts like you have to hold the Correct Opinions or else, which just makes you wonder at the insecurity underpinning everything. If they really believed what they believed, they wouldn't have to resort to these tactics. If we're "desperate," as they often say, they're insecure.

There is. I can't exactly pinpoint one cause because it seems to be a melting pot of interrelated issues. It's like a pressure cooker of conformity borne of the desperation not to be seen as cringe by the mainstream - hence all the diatribes about "you guys are making the rest of us look bad," like, who are you performing fandom for? why are you performing fandom? - with anti-games bias stemming from that since the games aren't considered as "deep" as the comics. Unlike the book which improves them, the games are childish, and we wouldn't want to be seen as childish, taking something as inconsistent and puerile like Sonic games too seriously.

Then you add a dose of purity culture, the intense focus on parasocial relationships with ascended fans (I find IDW staff's conduct unprofessional and really skirting the line wrt its fandom), and outright abuse apologism (the stuff with Emi Jones is sickening), and the mixture becomes toxic.

Best of the Super Jr. semifinals preview

This show is headlined by two semifinal matches in the Best of the Super Jr. tournament. After a total of 90 block matches, only four wrestlers remain. The winner of A Block will face the runner-up of B Block, and the winner of B Block will face the runner-up of A Block. The winners will advance to the tournament final, on June 9 in the main event of Dominion.

El Desperado vs. DOUKI - Despe won A Block with 6 wins and 3 losses. Douki also posted 6-3 in B Block, which was enough for him to tie for second place; his block match win over Hiromu Takahashi secured his spot in this semifinal.

There's some history between these two, going back to the 2019 BOSJ, when Suzuki-gun recruited Douki as a last-minute replacement for Despe. Because they were in the same faction, Despe and Douki rarely squared off one-on-one. Their three singles encounters to date were block matches in BOSJ; Despe won all three. When Suzuki-gun disbanded in December 2022, Douki ended up in Just 5 Guys, and without Despe in the group, he was their de facto top junior heavyweight. Desperado gradually settled into the role of a reluctant good guy in Hontai, and he's arguably one of the top juniors in the entire promotion.

I've had a soft spot for Douki since he first showed up five years ago, because the English announce team absolutely buried him throughout that year's BOSJ. This is one of those long, long, long-term storylines where a guy has to toil for years to get on a hot streak. I'm not confident this is the part where he finally wins the big one. I guess it could be. But it'd be very New Japan if this year the achievement is reaching the semis, and maybe next year he reaches the finals, and maybe three or four years from now he wins the tournament but chokes in the junior title match, and so on.

Desperado has to be considered the favorite to win here. (And I have a spot for him too, since he has all the powers of Skeletor and El Kabong and a kitty cat.) Set aside that Despe is having the best run of his career, and set aside that New Japan is distributing his self-promoted indie show right after this tournament. Even with all that factored out, if the BOSJ final is going to go on last after a Jon Moxley world title match, you need the hottest junior match you can deliver. And in 2024, you'd have to pick Despe for that match, not Douki.

Taiji Ishimori vs. TJP - Ishimori finished on top of B Block with a 7-2 record. Over in A Block, TJP was part of a four-way tie for second place at 5-4; lucky for him, he had wins over the other three guys, so he became the official runner-up. As far as I can tell, these two have never met one-on-one before.

For all intents and purposes, Ishimori is one of the "big three" of the junior division these days in New Japan, alongside El Desperado and Hiromu Takahashi. And yet, he always feels like he's just kinda there. Even as a member of Bullet Club, he's not important enough to assign to the House of Torture or the War Dogs, so he feels like one of the B-team guys. He should be the favorite to win here, and a good bet to take the whole tournament, but I'm just not feeling it.

TJP doesn't have much more than that going for him. His biggest storyline in 2024 is his desire to go openweight and to be the "captain" of the United Emprie after Will Ospreay left for AEW. The "captain" business hasn't meant shit--the rest of the group seemed resistant to the idea until one day they just went along with it, which hasn't really changed anything. As for being an openweight wrestler, well...if can't win this tournament, it's going to be hard to make him a convincing contender against the heavyweights. So I'd argue he's under the most pressure of any of the final four to win.

Which brings us to the biggest wrinkle in this match--TJP's demonic alter ego, the Aswang. If you haven't seen this gimmick, it's basically like Finn Balor becoming the Demon when he needs to kick extra ass. TJP went Aswang to beat Titan on May 30, and I think it'd be kind of stupid for him to not keep using that power for the rest of the tournament. Then again, it's kind of a new gimmick and I'm not sure what the mystical rules are. If he's TJP, I have to favor Ishimori to go to the final. But if he becomes the Aswang, well, I don't think Ishimori will have an answer to that.

Ren Narita & SHO & Yujiro Takahashi & Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Dick Togo vs. Shota Umino & four mystery partners - This is, indirectly, a preview for Jon Moxley vs. EVIL on June 9. Mox teased the idea of gang warfare, and Evil proposed a lumberjack match, figuring Moxley doesn't have any allies aside from Shota Umino. So this match is basically Evil's lackeys in the House of Torture versus whoever is willing to support Mox, which works out to Shota and...uh, we don't know.

It's easy to guess that members of the Blackpool Combat Club will be on Umino's team. However, Wheeler Yuta's status is still questionable, and I don't see Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli flying in for this show unless they're staying in Japan for Dominion, and taking an entire week off from AEW seems like a big ask. I'm not sure who else would fit here. Eddie Kingston is sidelined. El Desperado would work, except he's in the main event. I don't think it makes sense for Moxley himself to be a surprise partner. I suppose Homicide is available. Beyond those guys, I think we're in for some genuine surprises.

Assuming Shota can deliver a good team, they should win here, especially since Yujiro, Kanemaru, and Togo are all weak links for the House of Torture side.

Tetsuya Naito & Shingo Takagi vs. HENARE & Callum Newman - Takagi vs. Henare for the NEVER title is set for June 9. I'm rooting for Henare when the gold is on the line, but as for this match he's at a serious disadvantage. Naito is more than a match for Newman, who will probably lose the fall here.

Hiroshi Tanahashi & Toru Yano & Boltin Oleg & Dragon Dia vs. Hiromu Takahashi & Yota Tsuji & BUSHI & Titan - Tana, Yano, and Oleg are the NEVER trios champions; their partner, Dia, finished 1-8 in the BOSJ tournament. I could see Hiromu, Tsuji, and Bushi making a run for the trios title. (Actually, Titan wouldn't be bad in that spot too, but he's probably heading back to Mexico.) So I would have the LIJ team pin one of the champs, but even if they don't, Dia should be easy pickings.

Yuya Uemura & TAKA Michinoku vs. Great-O-Khan & Jeff Cobb - This is a preview of Uemura vs. Khan for the KOPW belt on June 9. Assuming those two cancel out, you have to ask who would win Taka vs. Cobb, and that's not a hard question. Khan and Cobb should win.

Zack Sabre Jr. & Robbie Eagles & Kosei Fujita vs. Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney & Gedo - Connors and Moloney are the IWGP junior heavyweight tag team champions, and it looks like they're setting up Eagles and Fujita as the next challengers. During the tournament, Fujita scored a win over Connors, and Eagles defeated Moloney. Going back further, Eagles/Fujita won against Connors/Moloney back in 2023's Super Jr. Tag League. So I'm pretty sure Sabre's team will win here, so Eagles and Fujita can formally challenge the champs to a title bout on June 9.

KUSHIDA & Kevin Knight & Shoma Kato vs. HAYATA & Blake Christian vs. Ninja Mack - Everybody in this match was an also-ran in the BOSJ tournament, except for Kato, who is still a Young Lion. That puts Kushida's team at a disadvantage. However, everybody in the other team is on loan from outside promotions (Hayata and Mack from NOAH, Christian from ROH and GCW) so I would expect one of them to do a job on their way out. So I guess that could make this a little interesting...

T'zekhwalker - The Dead Ends & Final Day

finished out endwalker 6.0 on my alt yesterday! i wanted to crosspost yesterday's twitter yelling over to this blog so that in the inevitable death of twitter i'll be able to find it again

i ended up doing the dead ends in trust instead of trying to wrangle friends on short notice.

had a walk of shame to the 2nd boss arena bc i got double aoe'd and was deleted instantly. i think they should let the trust npcs raise you as a treat

when i got to the last zone i realized i could take as much time in gpose as i wanted and no one but the instance timer could stop me, and so i took a million pics while i was in there

my cat helped

when we got to the boss i got hit by ra-la's doom attack and since it cant be esuna'd...... thats a wipe boys

spent a long time staring at the chest praying that a starbird wasn't inside because of course my lucksack alt would get one before my main.... luckily we managed to avoid the starbird salt this time

Quick Scar history lesson, I've been a New Japan fan ever since 2017 (roughly) so I've really seen basically all of Despe's career in New Japan post-NOAH invasion as he returned alongside Suzuki Gun at NYD 2017. I've seen his growth from Suzuki Gun's pet/mascot to star of the junior division and I can't be happier. I love watching him wrestle, he's an exemplary performer who proves that you don't have to be able to see someone's face to know exactly how they're feeling. I also love that he's actually just a huge fucking nerd and cat dad outside the ring (once more, relatable).

You don't have any siblings and you spent a lot of time studying because you weren't great with people and didn't really know how to interact with others, which is actually how you discovered your passion for the medical field. You often feel insecure about this, and when awkward silences occur (which they rarely do now, but were common at the start of your relationship with them) you felt the need to fill them with stuff about doctoring because you didn't know much about a lot of other things and you felt safe talking about that kind of stuff. You really appreciated how patient the two of them were with you as you learnt how to be comfortable around them. They never left you out of anything and you came to really love and care for them.

You three have a pact to always care for each other and have each other's backs.

No matter what happens, even if the other two are forced into an awkward situation or to give up something they really love, they always choose each other and always look out for one another.

But you took this oath in confidence that they would never ask you to do something out of the question or incredibly uncomfortable for you unless they absolutely had no other option.

okay this is literally the same story ive seen before at least three times. its word to word the same. youre not even trying

reblogs only from original posts. they have gotten "smarter" tho as this blog followed me in attempts to try to show its "real". and yet they havent reblogged from blogs they supposedly follow, only from probably the top posts from some popular tags and only from the original posters. also please note literally all the posts in their blog have been reblogged today within the past three to four hours (apparently im so loopy i cant read times rn, its been about the past 15 to 16 hours but the point still stands, they are all reblogged within the last 24 hours)

In primul rand, pui prea multe intrebari  si astepti opiniile celorlalti in loc sa te interesezi si sa te informezi pe cont propriu mai intai.......si crede-ma, cu atitudinea asta vei avea mult de pierdut in viata.

As vrea eu sa te intreb ce medii ai avut in general la Geografie, din clasa a IV-a pana in a XII-a ?  (ca nota la BAC e irelevanta, se stie ca in ziua de azi poti sa iei si nota 10 daca ingrasi porcul in ajun si  faci noapte alba tocind cu 3 zile inainte de examen).

Ce carti  de specialitate   ai citit?  (manualele si  enciclopediile vizuale luate de la supermarket sau de la libraria de pe colt nu se pun,  nici wikipedia despre care se stie ca are numeroase informatii si date incorecte)

Ai tangente cu geologia?  Ai citit cate ceva despe clima si tipuri de medii?

Ai  mancat pe paine  harta fizica si politica in fiecare dimineata?

Stii sa enumeri toate capitalele europene si sa le asociezi cu statele de apartenenta  in mai putin de 2 minute, fara sa te uiti pe net?

Ai citit si ceva despre istoria, demografia, fauna, vegetatia  si cultura fiecarui stat?

Daca nu ai facut una din  cele enumerate,  e clar, n-ai ce cauta acolo, ori daca te duci, o faci degeaba si nu te angajezi nici spalator de masina sau lucrator la KFC.

Trebuie sa fii decis dinainte daca vrei sa ajung geolog, meteorolog,  profesor de geografie sau sa lucrezi la vreo institutie academica.

Daca vrei sa fii ghid turistic, poti sa efectuezi un curs contra-cost si aia e, desi eu nu te vad potrivit pentru asta pentru ca ti-am mai zis, un ghid adevarat nu pune intrebar, ci raspunde la intrebari si se informeaza constant, e tupeist,  descurcaret....n-ai tu calitati din astea din ce observ din postarea initiala. Apoi, pana iti gasesti un post sau pana te angajeaza vreo rezervatie naturala, conducerea unui monument   sau vreun muzeu, pot sa treaca ani. Sau chiar sa nu te angajeze deloc fiindca e mare bataie pe locuri si concurezi cu alti potentiali ghizi turistici care au mancat geografie mai multa pe paine decat ai mancat tu.

Pana una alta, de ce nu inveti o meserie?  

Tara asta are mai multa nevoie de constructori,  de camionagii,   de mecanici auto, de instalatori,   fermieri, de ingineri,  zidari, tamplari, croitori,   meserii care se platesc foarte bine, nu de alte coate  goale  sau profesori.

Avem mai multa nevoie de medici competenti care sa ne salveze vietile si sanatatea .  

Noi inca suntem o tara semi agraro-industriala (si una vai de ea) si multi au pretentia  sa lucreze numai la birou in sectorul tertiar domne, prin IT sau marketing sau nu stiu ce despre filosofia vietii sau vreo arta liberala (fac pariu ca nici  ce inseamna " sectorul tertiar "  nu stii)..  

Nu domne, vrem sa fim natie de culti , nu de fermieri sau meseriasi.

Nu esti facut pentru meserii gen zidar, tamplar, mecanic, dar o sa trebuiasca sa le inveti ca sa supravietuiesti, altfel mori de foame. In caz ca nu stii, traim in Romania, tara unde ca sa ai un job caldut si bine platit, trebuie fie sa dai spaga, fie sa ai un tata  sau  vreun unchi mahar care sa-ti finanteze cariera, fie sa pupi funduletele care trebuie,  fie sa fii un geniu extraordinar in ale geografiei. Ori cum tu ai recunoscut ca n-ai prea citit carti si enciclopedii de geografie, adica nici macar alea, e clara treaba.   Pentru ca daca nu ai nici pile,  o sa faci facultatea aia degeaba doar pentru a deveni somer cu diploma. Si crede-ma baiete, am avut amici care au fost masteranzi la Istorie  (vorbesc de universitate), au facut doctorat in jurnalism  , si ghici ce......acum invart hamburgheri, cara marfa intr-un supermarket  sau  stau zi de zi sa fie injurati la telefon pentru a vinde  produse pentru pensionari intr-un call center. Cunosc fete care au terminat dreptul si pentru ca au trecut ca gasca-n apa si n-au constientizat ca trebuie sa dea spaga sa ajunga notari,  acum presteaza servicii sexuale.   Tu nu constientizezi cat de salbatica e piata muncii in Romania baietas. Parerea mea e ca tu, fiind cam idealist, n-ai sa supravietuiesti daca continui sa traiesti cu iluzii.   Nu stiu, fa bine si ia BAC-ul cu nota maxima , invata 1-2 limbi straine intensiv in vara asta si daca ai parinti buni,  vezi daca poti sa  te inscrii cu bursa  la o facultate de geografie la vreo universitate prestigioasa din strainatate.  Succesul nu e garantat nicaieri, dar ai mai multe sanse  in strainatate  decat in rahatul asta de tara. Totusi,  tu trebuia sa ai niste ani de studiat si citit geografia,  sa fi mancat cartile si hartile pe paine, sa fi frecventat vreo cateva biblioteci si sali de lectura din orasul unde stai. Daca tu n-ai nicio tangenta cu geografia si te afli in situatia ca in clasa a XII-a sa n-ai nici macar cunostinte la nivel elementar de geografie,   parerea mea, dar  eu te sfatuiesc de bine sa te reprofilezi, sa-ti cauti sa inveti o meserie,altfel o sa mori de foame alaturi de absolventii de litere, drept si jurnalism ,  ori o sa ajungi sclav la nu stiu ce fast-food, call center sau supermarket  unde vei munci intensiv pe salarii de cacat si iti vei strica sanatatea.

Sunt confuză,am avut o relație la distanta de un an,în care ne am văzut de cele mai multe ori,ne am desp,după 10 luni el m a căutat iar ,pe post de amic,prieten si ma simt ciudat.Nu stiu ce vrea de la mine Si cand l am intrebat a zis ca vrea sa imi fie alături si sa nu mai imi mai faca rau,pentru ca poate el imi este mai bun prieten decât iubit.Si eu nu stiu daca o sa pot sa cunosc pe altcineva având în vedere că ma simt atașată de el,nu am facut asta Nici in alea 10 luni cat nu am vorbit...

In the photo on the left, Pérez thought it would be a lovely idea to hang two dogs by their ears on a clothing line. He did not miss the opportunity to snap a few photos and post them online, pleased of what he had achieved. On his timeline he also posted pictures of two of his vicious dogs attacking a defenseless cat and ripping it apart; he also posted a photo of an iguana being skinned alive. Outraged netizens tracked the man down and determined he lived in the city of San Martin Texmelucan, Puebla state, in Mexico. Despite numerous protests and pledges from local officials that justice will be achieved, none of this has happened. This man is still free to abuse animals as we speak. He shut down his Facebook and Twitter accounts at one point, but they are now re-opened at this point. This case only comes to prove that animal mistreatment is not regarded as a serious offence in Mexico and this is extremely disappointing and frustrating, because these poor animals do not have a voice and rely on the good faith of humans to survive.
