Akihiro had jumped from sexual partner to sexual partner, all of which where living it up in the high life of high society and so that's where Akihiro had also been living. He had made a name for himself with social elite of New York City, the models, fashion designers, artists, writers, playwrights and the like. Was consistently invited to their parties, or sometimes even their clubs, on an occasion. If Akihiro did go out on his own, to have something closer to human connection rather than the fake glamourous life with the glamorous social elites, then he frequented similar clubs to those of Mara. He found them intriguing, plus they were places that allowed a person to be themselves without judgement. While Akihiro no longer liked to manipulate people for his own personal gain, places like the goth clubs, had people who gave consent for that kind of thing, to name one of the reasons for Akihiro to frequent those kind of places. Another being that he could find people who wanted genuine human connection, something that was new to Akihiro but that he now wanted. Human connection, the thing that has a vast variety of definitions but none of which seems to fully encompass what Human Connection truly is and yet, throughout the ages, it has been sought, so desperately, by so many. This woman, Mara, seemed to be intrigued by Akihiro's peacocking through being unabashedly a dork in public. Good. Akihiro's plan had worked, so he can be himself and still work his charismatic magic, or perhaps this was a chance meeting that is meant to be. Who knows. "If you'd ask then I'd tell ya that I do come here often. Its a stupendous cemetery. I find it's a great place to relax and just listen to the city, when I want to get away. Ya know if ya ask, 'nd whatnot." A cool casual, teasing tone, with a joking roll of his eyes to start the mood off, complete with a smug kind smirk. No malice or ill intent behind his eyes or smile. Akihiro now just vibing and moving with the music like a normal person. Mara continued on and a lyric popped in his head. “'With the lights out, it’s less dangerous. Here we are now, entertain us'" Surely she had to be a Nirvana fan. Akihiro hoped that his quote hit home with Mara. He smiled and offered his hand. "I'm Dak....er...I'm Akihiro 'nd Yeah-no I definitely caught a vibe. Glad I wasn't the only one." Akihiro smiled softly at Mara, his brain stalling as to what else to say or do. This has never happened before. He has always known what to say and what to do. "So..... do ya wanna go for a walk in th' rest of the cemetery, so we can chat and get t' know each other better? T', ya know, see if this vibe is worth somethin?" Pulling out a charming, yet soft and genuine smirk of a smile, Akihiro asked his question, and actually hoping for once that it worked. Not because he didn't have confidence in himself but because Akihiro actually wanted to get to know this woman.

The clubs that Mara frequented more often than not were NOT what could be considered of the overly SOCIAL variety. Goth clubs that were full of people that were either introverted and tucked away into corners to read Hemingway and drink, or people that were LIKE DOGS IN HEAT, looking for a dark place where they could grind on one another without worrying about if their AESTHETIC was going to drive away their potential EVENING COMPANY.

Like in MOST FACETS of her life, Mara fell somewhere in-between.

As she continued to dance amongst the others that were moving in freedom and celebration, Mara wasn't looking for anyone or anything, but she wasn't WALLING HERSELF OFF from any kind of experience either. Whatever was meant to happen, would HAPPEN. Or not.

When her gaze was moving over those others that were indulging in the dance, she could see a spectrum of different clothing styles and walks of life, and a smile lit up her features just before she turned her head and made EYE-CONTACT with someone that definitely drew attention. With their DANCE MOVES alone.

He looked RIDICULOUS, and a laugh bubbled up from her lips as he drew closer to her. Feeling just the elation that surrounded the festivities, and the unabashed way this person was moving, Mara found herself moving more freely, pulling out dance moves that she too knew to be DORKY at the very least. They were all motions that were at least a few DECADES old, even DISCO made an appearance as she begun to move her hand across her body as her finger remained in a pointing motion, her other hand holding on to her belt.

When Akihiro was close enough to hear her over the music, she did speak.

"I'd ask if you come here often," she started, continuing to move and sway to the beat, "but 'here' is a cemetery, so that'd be real fuckin' dark." She laughed softly. "So I'll just tell you my name is Mara and hope that I wasn't the only one picking up a VIBE when ya looked at me..."

I kinda want to start readingn yu yu hakusho (manga first bc thats how i roll) sooo would u be interested in pitching the plot and whatnot for me? I know this is smth I could just google buuut, Id like to get some info straight from the best source :3 (a nd fan whos likes to ramble)

👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀 OKAY SO idk what all the differences are between the manga and the anime (havent read the manga yet but i want to eventually) but yu yu hakusho starts off with, from the very get-go, the protagonist dying! yup, main character just dead right at the start, and the next part is a plot for him going through a test from the spirit world to get his life back! its actually pretty emotional, because yusuke (the protag) didnt want to come back until he realize how much the people hes closed to cared about him, but throughout the show he makes more friends and realizes more of what he wants to live for (while theyre all constantly risking their lives in battles jfkdjfj) and becomes way more well off by the end of the show.

a lot of the show is yusuke taking various cases from spirit world as their designated spirit detective, fighting demons and sometimes humans to protect the world through the use of his spirit gun power! theres a whole lot of excellent humor along with intense moments, and i cant pinpoint exactly how they do it but even the funny stuff happening during serious moments dont really retract from each other, unlike how some other series it can feel like awkward tone shifts.

yusuke is a snarky son of a bitch, absolute delinquent that loves to kick ass. hes defintely not the brightest, but he makes up for that in sheer willpower (and luck lol). hes not a pure goody boy protag, hes a lovable asshole!

kuwabara is similar to yusuke in being a delinquent that loves to fight, but he has much more of an honor code and actually tries to be polite and really sweet sometimes (especially to his big crush in the show) despite his usual brash loudness lol. hes the himbo of the group! he also has a kitten he loves :3

kurama is one of my top favorite characters ever (and my kin) because hes just so??? interesting??? hes literally the best character in the show to put in a situation. any of them. so none of this is spoilers bc this is all shit he straight up tells as soon as he shows up in like, episode 7 or something: hes a fox demon thief that almost was killed, but he managed to transfer his spirit into an unborn human child and was raised by his human mother, whos kindness ended up changing him from cruel and ruthless, to a much kinder person. hes a interesting mix of characteristics, where he can equally be the kindest of the group, but he can also still be the most ruthless. plus they really play up the pretty boy factor and his main weapon is a rose whip hes fucking great. also despite him being a lot kinder now hes still defintely an asshole sometimes and loves messing with people bc hes still a fox at heart.

THEN HIEI. HIEI HIEI HIEI HIEI I LOVE HIM SO SO SO SOSOOOOOO MUCH. him and kurama are partners (demon partners but gay partners too bc i say so, and also theres no one else hiei compliments so much like he does with kurama and theyre like 90% of the time together and kurama teases hiei SO MUCH and theyre just adorable okay,) hes my hearthrob trope of angsty edgy guy whos so tsundere about actually caring about people but hes actually SO soft deep down and just needs more love in his life. and is super hot. literally anytime this dude gets into battle he often either rips his shirt off or his shirt rips itself off by the sheer power of his fucking energy i love him. hes such a badass. and he has nice tits. and hes soooo soso sososososoososo cute he has the most adorable surprised faces and hfjjjdjfk OKAY ill try to hold off the gay a little bit to actually explain his character. hes such a rude little asshole and is often the quiet one at the edge of the room thatll snark you if he catches you being dumb. hes such a tsundere about having friends and caring about them but even yusuke can see through his shit and calls him out on it and says hiei will be there when they need him. short angry man gets friends who he cares for and who cares for him.

BTW THO there is some Iffy Moments in the show id recommend checking out the doesthedogdie site for various trigger stuff if u think ud need it !!! and unfortunately the anime often has a LOT of flashing lights so if that would affect you then you may have to stick to the manga, or maybe theres someone whos edited the show to be safe for photosensitive folks?? do ppl do that? idk. but still despite some flaws in the series, the characters are just so !!!!!! [SQUEEZES THEM LIKE A SQUISHY TOY] im literally so obsessed with them theyre just a fun cast with the best interactions aaa theyre like family to me (bc im kurama kinnie)

DAY 30: Problematic DUCK

I’ve missed most of Duckvember because I was sick and then work kicked my ass weh. So now I’m gonna go through these as quickly as possible lololol

For Gladstone Gander it would be Problematic Duck - but more like Problematic Luck. Ha. I headcanon That Grandma Duck (Elvira) actually had a little bit of extra luck to begin with. In the comic “The Sign of the Triple Distelfink” the painted symbol is more of a magnifier of already existing luck, which makes Daphne’s luck much more noticeable. Then, Gladstone being the next in line has his luck even more magnified than his mothers.

Now, one of the things mentioned in the duck lore is that Gladstone’s parents died from overeating at a free picnic. That isn’t very lucky for Daphne, who is supposed to have luck. Wellll, look at this interesting part of this comic.

So Gladstone won toys the day before and Daphne won a truck to hold Gladstone’s toys that morning. Her luck is taking a supporting role to Gladstone’s luck. So if the ‘luck’ was in a situation where both were in trouble but only one could be saved, would make sense the luck would choose the kid over the parent. And in my headcanon Gladstone’s luck would be stronger than his mom’s soooo. In a story I would hope to finish someday I had it that they were at a picnic but it wasn’t overeating that really killed them. Gladstone wasn’t there of course but OH BOY. As an adult he has some survivor's guilt.

I have it that his parents wanted to leave where they were picnicking but child Gladstone was like NO I want to stay a little longer- and then leaves them to go play in whatever park or whatnot is nearby. It is when he leaves them is when the ‘INCIDENT’ happens. Dun dun DUN. So the reason they were still in the area was because of Gladstone, and he tries not to think about that. It’s really NOT his fault there was some other stuff going on he’ll find out someday. SWEATS.

I also have an OC that is his and Magica’s daughter OF COURSE. Her name is Felicity. :3 And when she is a year away from being the same age that Gladstone was when his parents died, well, some weird stuff starts happening. My main fic I’ll write SOMEDAY is about Magica nd Gladstone researching really what is going on with the Distelfink, like who exactly painted it and what origins the actual design has. Trying to find out the background of the luck, because you know, what if the luck takes out Gladstone is some round about way because it needed to protect Felicity.

Also, with the luck magnifying every generation, Felicity’s starts to go out of control. Gladstone’s luck is more - oh 1000 people entered this raffle and he just happened to win it over the other people. Felicity is more like the first 40 numbers pulled before hers the people were sick or stuck in traffic. So she still wins, but some bad stuff may have happened to the people that would have won so she wins by default? Hard to EXPLAIN. As it gets more powerful it seems to be more than just luck, but to bend reality itself. So a stop to it must be found to like, you know, prevent bad things. The usual.

There is also a AU I have where Felicity had been kidnapped by some baddies that knew of her luck/reality bending abilities. Her parents of course go to try to rescue her. Soon after an Elder God type creature takes out most the life on the planet. Poe De Spell (my version have been turned back into a duck around the same time Felicity was born,) is one of the few people still alive on the planet. He believes it is because when Magica and Gladstone went to go try to rescue Felicity, Gladstone had told him to stay here (Grandma’s farm) because someone had to be here to way for Felicity to get back in case she comes back on her own. And Gladstone’s luck, even though something happened where him and Magica are now gone, still held with that statement making Poe survive all of it. Because someone had to wait for Felicity. Felicity disappeared at 6 and in that AU is now 25. Poe has also not aged a day between that. So yeah, that's concerning. Though he’d probably start aging normal once Felicity gets back but unknown to him she actually went to a whole other universe. Oops. So he’s just gonna be immortal alone at Grandma’s farm because of GLADSTONE’S LUCK.

Also Felicity for the canon super hero AU comics she would go by Miss Fortune. Which you know, sounds like misfortune, hinting to her luck causing bad luck for others. Dun dun dun.

Also I'd like the point out that man that painted the symbol is suspicious as hell, right?

I'm going to keep talking about this (without spoiling too much, hopefully) because I love the idea and might want to turn it into a fan game tbh

So, the biggest main difference with this au, and the most obvious, is that humans and monsters are still engaged in a war. But you don't actually see the actual war going on, just how the war effects all the monsters you encounter (they're all very traumatized, paranoid and perhaps have trust issues. Which, y'know, fair)

The starting area of the fan game/comic, whatever I decide to turn it into, is actually the remains of the old monster capital, which is now called ruined home. The home Toriel eventually takes you to is the remains of the old castle, called Castle Ruins, which she has turned into a sort of safehouse for any monsters that she finds that need immediate help. Once I turn this into something I'll explain what happens in between areas, ofc.

Eventually after fighting Toriel to prove your strength, you walk through the gate that leads into the monster capital. Congratulations, you are the seventh human ever able to walk past the Barrier (the giant wall surrounding the entirety of the capital) but unfortunately you won't get any further... Right?

The area you walk into is called the Outer Ring, which serves as a stand-in for Snowdin Forest. Speaking of Snowdin, the residential area of the capital is now called Lockdin! I imagine the ring has a very similar slogan to Amphibia's Wartwood town "slow to accept, even slower to respect" but it's with trust and all that. The monsters there act a lot like Sans, I think, that being "I don't trust you, but Papyrus does so I guess you're okay"

The next ring you go through before getting to the Castle is called Castle Grounds, and this is where most of the lower-ranking Royal Guard/Army live and train. As you can probably guess, It's supposed to be the Waterfall area.

Into the castle you go! It's practically a maze in here so instead of finding a route to Asgore and Toriel's throne room, you manage to find your way to Alphys' lab. The first couple of floors are supposed to act like Hotland and the Core.

nd the throne room is the throne room, just with slight alterations and all that.

That's all if the main different areas without spoiling what happens in between. I really really think this would make for such a fun fan game (especially when Mettaton appears, just /imagine/) so I think that I'll post character designs and whatnot. And yet, I'm still not sure if I want to call it Underwar or Wartale, how unfortunate.

okay but hear me out: post/during war au.

I have no idea if it's been done before, so forgive me if this is old material, but like. the idea of the war between humans and monsters not actually ending and instead it lasts up to the time Frisk appears? wonderful. imagine the *angst* and hurt/comfort that can come from it.

I think that the whole thing would mostly consist of Frisk navigating through the different levels of the Monster Capital so they can convince Asgore to schedule a diplomatic meeting with whoever is in charge of the humans.

... that is, if they choose pacifist.

idk, maybe I'll make another post about it if people find the concept interesting. I sure do; it'd honestly make for a good fan game/comic.

Scorpia's design is her being big and bulky and butch to show her strong intimidating side, but her face and her body are also very womanly and femme to show how she's a soft cuddle bug inside. Eventually, as implied in NDs anniversary art, she fully gives in to the softer side of herself, wearing very soft pink dresses and whatnot like the one she wears for her ball.

I JUST FOUND MY RULING THE WORLD PLANS FROM WHEN I WAS 14-

Sooo apparently, I was going to be a 'benevolent' leader and therefore opted for a federal government in my 'state' (which I've forgotten the name of)????

OKAY AND HERE'S WHERE IT GETS A LITTLE WEIRD-

so, I had this beautiful idea that people leaning toward different opinions should be encouraged to move to an area of like-minded people with a local government they mostly agree with (brooo, so essentially designated areas for different people depending on their opinions and political views and whatnot??)

okay it also says that I wanted to keep a difference in pay between a 'low-intelligence' job and a 'high-intelligence job' but I would lessen the gap so improving pay of say a 'street sweeper' and lowering that of a 'neurosurgeon' hmmmmmmm

My state or whatever would provide healthcare mostly paid by taxpayers (it would have a similar tax system) but still ask the person to pay a small amount??? okay..

education would be free (go mini me) paid by taxpayers ofc, but I wanted to continue the idea of grammar schools which meant students could pass an exam to get into these schools filled with higher ability kids who are pushed more- academically... (something we have here, do you??)

welfare and social care would also be fully paid by taxpayers (go me again I guess)

laws would be kept similar to that of today and trial and punishments would also be pretty much the same- NO capital punishment (well done child???)

for people who didn't agree with my idea? death. there would be designated protest zones and paths ?

they would be fined for extremely violent protest

Dividing ppl by its political pov sounds interesting, tbh. I dont think i couldve come with the concept in a billion years.

But idk. Dividing ppl has never turn out right for humanity (white/poc, men/woman, queer/cishetallo). Structurally, might work. But what keeps knowledge going is feedback. Mirrors and windows and all of that.

And like humans cant stay on their own business. Conservatives would want to declare war to progressives. If a person moves out of the conservative section they were born in, the born progressives would look down at them and call them fake progressives. Humanism sections would fight agains the high intelligence - low intelligence system cuz what if a high intelligent person is dysable and cant have a high intelligence work?? And what if a ND kid is selected as a low intelligent by the system?? Where do artist fit in this system??

GOD I SOUNDED LIKE A MEAN TEACHER REVISING A FINAL PROYECT IM SORRY i feel i analyzed it waaaaay more serious than i should. But your 14yo had a point and i can see were the idea came from?? You cant have a political fight if there isnt a political discussion and you cant have a political discussion if you think everyone thinks the same way you do?? Anyways it is an interesting concept to work with. (Again im sorry i think i was too mean i-)

Being fair, my someones and i tried to figure out an hypoterical utopia at fifteen (we called it Willherondopolis because of course) (this still is the name of our group chat) i cant remember how it was but thank god im going to medicine and not politics. I do recall one of them said Dude this looks like maze runner.

I think Marcy always understood

To give her some credit; I think it’s easier for Marcy to sometimes… Simplify and dumb things down in a sense, as part of her analytical thought process, so she can really hyper-focus. Because boiling things down to their basics can help Marcy sort of prioritize on what really needs attention and whatnot, and I think that plays into how she apparently treats Amphibia as more of an RPG than an actual, real world…

But, I think she DOES know and acknowledge the people there as, well, people. Obviously Marcy had a bit of a learning curve and this sense of realization, but I don’t think she’s intentionally apathetic to others, nor necessarily low in empathy;

She still goes out of her way to save Sprig’s life, twice, the second time after she admits her own mistakes to Anne… She does try to navigate and learn around Maddie as a real person, as a stranger and potential friend who she values.

I imagine it’s sometimes easier and tempting, even, for Marcy to just boil people down to simpler, easier things for her to understand and comprehend, because she’s not socially-versed the way Anne and Sasha are… But she’s a smart kid, and she DOES recognize that people are complex, it’s actually kind of why she tries to make sense of them in that way of hers, so she can process and analyze properly!

Stuff like games gives Marcy a good frame of reference to work off of, a sense of how interactions function to work from, and figure things out. Marcy probably uses media as a way to help her figure out interactions with people, and while she shouldn’t get completely mixed up with fiction and reality;

Again, I think Marcy knows and recognizes there’s a distinction. And she uses that frame of reference of media and fiction to help her start out and begin to figure things out… Before her analytical, logical mind eventually figures out the rest. But sometimes it’s really hard to put in that effort, and scary, and there doesn’t seem to be that guarantee of benefits, so Marcy doesn’t want to take the risks and sticks with people like Anne and Sasha… I just think this is all Marcy’s way of trying to process, comprehend, and understand others in a way that makes sense to her, even if she acknowledges that this isn’t wholly accurate to real life, either.

Which, if you take into account how Marcy is clearly autistic or ADHD, or at least undeniably neurodivergent, and how that plays into her tendency to hyper-focus and block things out, so she can concentrate… Again, I think it really is just a way for her to make sense of life and people. And unfortunately, when you put that kind of coping process and method into Marcy’s unique situation, with her desire for wish fulfillment and a fantasy where she can get away from it all, and a manipulator who takes advantage of all that, enabling it all; And it really is a situation designed to bring out the worst of someone who DOES try to do her best and learn.

But even then, you have moments like The First Temple, where Marcy forfeits the game because her pride is meaningless compared to Anne and the Plantars, or how in New Wartwood she recognizes that she can’t just overwhelm strangers with big gestures of affection, and hope that wins them over; Which I think she actually learned from Sasha…! Marcy can and does respect people’s agency and boundaries, but I think she often finds herself in that horrible, isolating kind of situation and environment that convinces her to do otherwise, because she thinks it’s the only way she can survive. It’s enabling, all of it.

And it sucks, because Marcy really, clearly was easily on the way of development; Her mistake in using the music box came beforeall of the growth we saw from her as a person, not afterwards, that was just when we learned about it! Obviously Marcy needed to admit about lying to Anne later on with Andrias… But again, her development after traveling to Wartwood, after the First Temple, it all occurred after that deal with Andrias. Marcy didn’t need to be emotionally broken and exposed like that, to have her trust torn apart… She was already on the way to learn, and we see with how when Andrias reveals HIS true colors, Marcy admits her fault and tries to make things up to Anne!

It’s to the point where this girl has literally been MURDERED, and Marcy STILL feels the need to atone and be ‘mature’, which… I really hope Marcy can learn and recognize that she shouldn’t be so hard on herself, either. That she’s a kid who lacked a lot of agency, and that her efforts to do better ARE worthwhile and noted.

She needs to be easy on herself too, I think; I don’t want to see her overcompensate to her own perceived delusions by trying to be TOO realistic and pessimistic. Marcy is allowed to keep having fun with media, she can and HAS made that distinction before, and it’s not entirely her fault that people like Andrias intentionally try to blur the lines to confuse and obfuscate her.

Which again; It sucks that Marcy was on the obvious path to maturity and self-love, to responsibility… But she never really gets the chance to reap the benefits of that effort and growth, because her life is so brutally, suddenly, cut off by this completely outside event that blindsided her, that Marcy’s own wit couldn’t have anticipated, something she couldn’t have ever really anticipated or been prepared for. There’s stuff like the Music Box, Andrias manipulating and then killing her… And it really is unfair how the world pits itself against Marcy, who in a proper environment can and would thrive.

And, Marcy’s whole issue is being supplanted from an environment where she feels happy and safe, that’s what led to her using the music box in the first place, so I suppose that only makes sense; Someone give her a real home for once, one that’ll last and will support her, dang it! Marcy’s circumstances keep unfairly challenging and frustrating her, messing and tearing apart her hard work, and she needs that fair chance she deserves and clearly does well with.

Marcy was practically thrust into situations designed to ruin, tempt, and enable her worst flaws, forced into uncomfortable ultimatums that leave her desperate and alone, like her parents planning to move. It’s a situation meant to encourage Marcy to reverse her own character development, which for a kid who already has a lot of issues figuring out social cues in general, both as a literal child who’s pretty isolated and socially inexperienced, and also as someone blatantly ND-coded… And it really is overwhelmingly cruel and one-sided.

It’s easy to do the right thing when you’re operating from a place of comfort, but in the end, a lot of what Marcy does is survival; It’s the only thing she can do to get by, it’s practically self-defense in a sense. Not to say Marcy never did anything wrong, she clearly admitted it herself… But again, the odds really are so unfairly stacked against her, with how she encounters Andrias while Anne has the Plantars, and Sasha has Grime. Marcy’s just been given a raw deal, the short end of the stick, and I want her to realize this, that it really isn’t her fault in a lot of ways, and that it’s okay in some regards that she did what she needed to, in order to survive… She did what made sense, and she has no blame nor fault for what went wrong.

okay okay okay im sorry about this stupid-ass question but: whats going on with all the different mind series? (hold on, finding a better way to phrase it, sorry im garbage at this, uuuh-)

ive been a huge fan of your art for a bit now (a few months, your wonderful geometric mind design makes me want to. eat your art it is so good.) but i have no idea whats going on with the mindverse, i know the freemanverse, i know freemans mind, i know hlvrai, but i never really knew there were. more mind series???? and how they all tie into eachother??? and either 1), where can i learn about all this awesome stuff because KJHKFJGDKJFGD new possible hyperfixation obtained, or 2), can you please explain it to be because i am Very Enthusiastic but Very Lost about all of this-/nf

OH MY GOD. Okay, first thing’s first, I love you, I wish the best for you in this world and you MUST prosper forever /Gen. THANK YOU I AM SO GLAD YOU LIKE MY STUPUD STUFF AAAUGHH… Also! Not a stupid question at all dude this stuff is Convoluted and Stupid! I only know so much because I’m nd and couldn’t put down the wiki pages for more than six seconds !

Okay okay okay. So essentially, the Mindverse is the collective universe/universes of the different Mind series. Some of the more popular ones are Freeman’s Mind, Barney’s Mind, and Shephard’s Mind- all made by different people. There are many, many more of these Mind series though, such as Chell’s Mind, Stark’s Mind, Arlen’s Mind- and literally dozens more.

Some of the Mind Series take place in different games! Obviously with Freeman’s Mind, that takes place in half life. Lots of other people decided to make half life mind series with the various games/mods. There are other minds like Chell’s Mind or Harrison’s Mind that are made in different games with different characters!

Aaaahh trying to keep this brief yet understandable- essentially, after Freeman’s Mind was made, a bunch of other people decided “hey, I wanna do that” and made their own series with different characters and different styles! Here on The Internet- within the fandom specifically- a few people started tying the minds into each other since (and this is where my hyperfixation kicked into overdrive) a group called the Masterminds were all friends and decided to tie their series in with one another! For example, in Barney’s Mind, Barney meets Adrian Shephard from Shephard’s Mind because the two creators wanted to collab! Or how in Felix’s Mind, the creator asked the voice of Barney’s Mind to dub over the canonical Barney in HL2!

I am Sorry this was so Long I Apologize, but I got all my info from watching every Mastermind series and rereading the wikis over and over and over and over and over. If you wanna read more I suggest looking at some wikis! It has character info and (a few) links and it was all around a great way to spend six months of my life. Unfortunately some Mind Stuff needs a little more digging to get to (being this stuff all happened from like, 2009-2016 at the very latest).

What Pet I Think They'd Have and Why: Karasuno Edition

Daichi Sawamura

Of course he'd have a police dog

He's a cop and if he'd have any pet he'd have a buddy to help him bust criminals and fight crime

But I don't think Daichi would have a "normal" dog breed like a German Shepherd, Malinois, or Akita

I feel like Daichi would have a Rottweiler not bc they are my favorite dog breed

But Rottweilers used to be very prevalent in many police forces around the world until German Shepard and Malinois became more common

Also Rottweilers gained a harsh reputation for being aggressive bc they were trained by drug lords and criminals and were used to in fighting

Rottweilers are very muscular, sturdy, and hard working dogs

If trained right and with proper love and care these dogs are GREAT and I mean GREAT companions

They are stubborn and can be territorial with strangers, but, they are very loving towards familiars and family

They are a kind of one or two people fits them kind of dog

They also need constant stimulus as they were breed to be very hardworking dogs

Rottweilers used to pull sleds full of butchered meat bc they were so strong and the original breed was much bigger than the one we know today

They also herded large livestock through the alps and Roman region and are known to be fearless

They are also one of the oldest dog breeds

These dogs became popular Police dogs during the World Wars

Bc they were being used so much their guardian qualities were more showcased so more and more people wanted one to help keep and eye on their children

Since they are herding dogs they are good around children and can keep them in a yard if they are taught the parameters

Rottweilers despite their size generally don't bark a lot either, they are very sneaky when approaching a possible threat and will ppun e from behind

This is why I think Daichi would have one to be by his side

I feel like Daichi would do a lot of research into a good companion and finding a good breeder to find one after deciding

He'd get one as a puppy and personally see to it's training, working with a pro the whole time

His dog would also be a great family protector when he's home with his spouse and possible children, if he ends up having any

Koushi Sugawara

I feel like Koushi would be that really awesome teacher that has a really sweet and sociable pet that he brings in for the kids a lot

I feel Koushi would want soemthing small and cute so a rabbit of some sort would suit him well

Rabbits can be very loving with a small family most of the time or sometimes only one person

Rabbits are prey animals so some breeds wouldn't do well in a loud room full of young children

So what specific rabbit breed would suit his job?

So I chose the Harlequin Rabbit for Koushi

Harlequin rabbits are very social and loving towards owners and strangers alike

They also are known to be very silly, playful and very intelligent

They come in two colour types: Japanese and Magpie

The picture above is an example of Japanese while a Magpie can be colored in just about any other colour other than black nd orange like lilac, white, chocolate, blue and/or black

I feel like this specific type of rabbit would suit him so well as it would be comfortable around all those kids

Be very social and would be less likely to nip them

And it would be energetic enough to keep up with the kids

Koushi wouldn't just want a pet for his classroom though, he'd want a cuddle buddy for at home

He'd want a companion to sit on his lap while he works on lessons

He'd also want a pet that wasn't too lazy as his life would be pretty busy

The only thing is is that rabbits are high maintenance and need very specific foods, medicines, and an experienced vet to care for them

But rabbits are cuddly little crackheads that Koushi would adore

Energetic enough to keep up with his life, but snuggly and home bodied enough to not exhaust him

Asahi Azumane

Asahi is a fashion designer and thus would spend a lot of time hunched over a sketch book making designs

In other words, he has a very home based and indoor job

So he'd need a pet that isn't energetic and obnoxious like a husky or chihuahua

So I chose the Havanese

Havanese is the national dog of Cuba

This dog may be small but they are incredibly sturdy

These dogs become attached quickly and are extremely loyal to said lone owner

Something else that is good for Asahi is these dogs do not do good alone and are willing to follow their owners to the ends of the Earth

They can be described as velcro dogs bc of how attach to the hip with their owners they are

These dogs can be lively and active but they don't need much exercise as they are smaller

Most of their daily exercise can be met in a house with some light play

Also, these dogs are extremely friendly towards strangers and can be described as good host dogs

Another plus for Asahi about this breed is they aren't particularly vocal, most are rather quiet and reserved almost

The last thing you'd want is for people to look down on you for letting your pet act spoiled by barking and nipping at people's ankles

They also love to perform for others

They like attention and are good in groups

Asahi would have to meet with a lot of new people like models and companies and whatnot so a social dog would be best

Asahi also would spend a lot of time in an office or at home and since these dogs don't need much exercise he would be able to have it sleep on his lap while he works without disturbance

I also feel like Asahi would become a bit of a hermit

Like he would contact people but he wouldn't leave his house unless he absolutely had to or wanted to (which isn't often)

Havanese are home-bodied dogs and love just chillin' out on a warm lap or on a couch cushion beside their owners

Yū Nishinoya

Now I DO NOT think Noya should have a pet until he decides to settle down somewhere

Travel can really exhaust a person so it would harm an animal tenfold

So, if you travel a lot DO NOT GET A PET IT WILL ONLY HARM THEM

But if Yū were to have a pet.............................

Noya would need a pet that can travel well, is small enough to not cost a lot, is very attached to their owners, and can eat just about anything

I thought briefly of other rodents since rodents are generally small and can eat just about any food

But raccoons, possums, and other larger rodents that are more common for pets would be too hard to get on planes and boats since you need certification to own them

Rats on the other hand don't need such certifications in most countries and fill all the other requirements

The rat he would have isn't a Dumbo rat like in the picture above, he'd have like a wild rat that he befriended and decided to take with him so it'd most like be brown

Noya would 100% fight anyone who says they hate rats

He hypes up his pet rat to no end

He calls Asahi whenever he can and tells him about all the cool stuff his rat does and sends pictures of his rat being held up to a gorgeous background of famous landmarks in other countries

Nlya always has his rat around the back of his neck and wears a hoodie, scarf, or something like that to hide him so he can join Noya in places that don't allow pets

I also chose a rat bc they are incredibly loyal and I feel like if Noya were to be really tired on a plane and pass out, he would need a pet that he wouldn't have to worry about running away

Of course he has trained his rat to do amazing tricks, you already know

Also, as I previously mentioned, rats can eat just about anything, so his constant travel wouldn't hurt his companion diet

Rats are also quiet generally and aren't overly energetic so he wouldn't have to be worried about being escorted out for having a rat under his scarf

Chikara Ennoshita

Shibas are very independent dog, let's just start with that bc Chikara would need a pet that doesn't need constant attention

With him being a personal trainer he needs a pet that can self entertain

Something else about Shibas is they can often housebreak themselves bc of how fussy and finicky they are

You can also find them cleaning themselves much like a cat

Chikara would be busy for a good bit of his time so he doesn't really have time to properly spend time to housebreak a pet

But Shibas were originally bred to hunt and flush out game like birds and rabbits and other such small animals

A fact about Shibas is they almost went extinct during WWII bc of food shortages a distemper

Distemper is a disease only animals can be affected by that attacks many different systems in their bodies

Also, Shibas are the number one most common companion dog in Japan

Something else about Shibas is that they are fairly healthy, some of the more major problems they have are glaucoma, cataracts, hip dysplasia, entropion, and luxating patella

A lot of eye conditions but are easily avoided if you bring them in for very periodic eye checks and hip examinations

So these are easy to avoid as long you keep an eye on them

Over all I think that if Chikara were to have a pet it would need to be fairly self-sufficient but also something could have a very chill and laid back relationship with

Something that doesn't need to be on his lap all the time but something he can love and nurture

Kiyoko Shimizu & Ryūnoske Tanaka

Now I know I know

Ryu would be a dog person

He'd want a big manly pet not a cat blah blah blah

Kiyoko would definitely be a cat person

She wouldn't want a purebred and would probably find a box of some kittens with Ryu on the side of the sidewalk

Now look me in the eye and lie to me by saying that Ryu would now start crying immediately upon seeing like four lonely little kittens in a box that need a home

Needless to say, they take them home and nurture them endlessly

But Tanaka would be the kind of guy that harness trains his cats so they can go out on walks

Kiyoko would research how to harness train them, what food would be the best, and anything else they need to take care of these four cats

Imagine seeing these two, a big muscular dude and this goddess walking four cats on harnesses down the street

I literally cannot stop thinking about Ryu and Kiyoko cuddling on the couch with all four adult and rather large cats draping themselves across the two of them

I feel like the reason Ryu would want them harness trained is bc he wouldn't be able to spend much time with them

His job as a personal trainer would keep him busy

So on his morning jogs to stay fit he'd want to take not only Kiyoko but the cats as well
