Embracing a Holistic Approach: The Multifaceted Activities of Shree Krishnayan Gaurakshashala
In the heart of India, Shree Krishnayan Gaurakshashala stands as a beacon of compassion and sustainability, embodying a deep commitment to the well-being of cows, community, and the environment. Through a series of dedicated initiatives, the gaushala has transformed into a multifaceted hub where spiritual, agricultural, and humanitarian efforts converge to create a positive impact on society. Here’s a closer look at the diverse activities undertaken by this remarkable institution.
Cow Protection: A Sanctuary of Hope
Home to over 21,000 stray and destitute Desi Indian cows and bulls, Shree Krishnayan Gaurakshashala provides a sanctuary where these revered creatures receive a second chance at life. Rescued through various channels, including police, government agencies, NGOs, and farmers, these gauvansh are sheltered, nourished, and cared for with utmost dedication. The gaushala’s in-house medical facility, staffed by experienced veterinarians, ensures that each cow receives timely and comprehensive healthcare, fostering their well-being and longevity.
Shelter and Nourishment: Building a Safe Haven
The gaushala boasts expansive shelters, meticulously designed to accommodate the growing number of protected cows. These shelters provide a comfortable and dignified living environment, reflecting the institution’s commitment to creating a holy and safe space for gauvansh. Nourishment is another cornerstone of care at the gaushala, where a balanced diet of dry fodder, green fodder, grains, mustard cake, and jaggery is carefully prepared and served twice daily. This holistic approach to feeding ensures that the cows remain healthy, strong, and vibrant.
Medical Care: Ensuring Health and Well-Being
Around-the-clock medical care is a priority at Shree Krishnayan Gaurakshashala. With a fully equipped medical facility on-site, the gaushala is prepared to handle any health concerns that may arise. From routine check-ups to emergency care, the dedicated team of veterinarians and support staff work tirelessly to maintain the health and well-being of the gauvansh. Ample stocks of medicines and vaccinations are maintained to prevent and treat illnesses, ensuring that each cow receives the best possible care.
Breeding and Training: Promoting Indigenous Cows
The gaushala is actively involved in research and breeding programs aimed at enhancing the genetic traits of indigenous cows. By focusing on disease resistance, adaptability, and milk production, the institution seeks to create a sustainable ecosystem where farmers are encouraged to keep Desi cows. Additionally, vocational training programs are offered to farmers, educating them on the importance of organic farming and the benefits of desi cows and bulls. These initiatives aim to preserve cultural heritage and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
Renewable Energy and Organic Farming: Pioneering Sustainability
Shree Krishnayan Gaurakshashala is a model of sustainability, harnessing renewable energy through biogas plants and solar power systems. The gaushala’s BIO CNG plant, powered by ONGC, converts 25,000 kg of cow dung daily into CNG gas and manure, contributing to a cleaner environment and the production of organic fertilizers. The institution also promotes organic farming, encouraging pesticide-free crops and eco-friendly practices, with a mission to convert surrounding villages into organic lands.
Humanitarian Efforts: Serving Communities in Need
Beyond its work with cows, Shree Krishnayan Gaurakshashala extends its compassion to human communities, especially during times of calamity. From providing relief during floods in Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand to distributing food during the COVID-19 pandemic, the gaushala’s humanitarian efforts have touched countless lives. The institution regularly sends truckloads of supplies to remote regions and runs food camps, ensuring that those in need receive essential nourishment and support.
Spiritual and Cultural Initiatives: Nurturing the Soul
The gaushala is also a center for spiritual and cultural enrichment. The magnificent yagya mandap, situated on the serene banks of the Ganga, hosts various sacred rituals, including Yagyas, Pujas, and Japas. These spiritual endeavors are conducted by accomplished Vedic Brahmins, creating an atmosphere of divine grace and positive energy. The institution’s yoga center, in collaboration with Jhanvi Yoga Dhyan Sevashram Trust, offers yoga, meditation, and Ayurvedic treatments, promoting holistic well-being and spiritual growth.
Conclusion
Shree Krishnayan Gaurakshashala is more than just a shelter for cows; it is a sanctuary where compassion, sustainability, and spirituality intersect. Through its diverse activities, the gaushala not only protects and nurtures Desi cows but also uplifts communities, promotes environmental stewardship, and fosters spiritual growth. It is a shining example of how dedicated efforts can create a ripple effect of positive change, benefiting both the present and future generations.

For centuries, cows have been revered as sacred animals, symbolizing abundance, fertility, and sustenance. In many cultures, especially in India, the donation of a cow is seen as a virtuous and spiritually rewarding practice that benefits both the giver and the recipient. all of mahabharata is not just an allegory of life. mahabharata represents internal conflict. every character represents an aspect of the human mind and that's what makes gita so great.
Gita can be interpreted as a conversation between your individual consciousness (arjuna) and the universal consciousness (krishna), or between your subconscious and your higher consciousness, you take it as your conscience or intuition that is guiding you to do the right thing.
no matter how you take it, it makes sense

So I just updated my phone and it felt kind of empty, at first I just had two green wallpapers, in home and lock screen but now I have... COWS
Nah fr fr it's filled with cows. My current hyperfixation.
[First picture] home screen and main home tab
[Second picture] home screen when swiped from left to right from home tab
[Third picture] home screen when swiped right to left from home tab
[Fourth picture] Lock screen
Usually people give pictures below the cut but I absolutely HATE having to open an entire post just to see a reveal and I would rather just scroll past it so I don't put cuts (until NSFW stuff) on any of my posts.

Saving Abandoned Cows: How You Can Make a Difference with Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha
In a world where compassion is often forgotten, thousands of cows face abandonment and neglect after they’ve served their purpose. When these gentle beings grow old and stop producing milk, many owners see them as a burden and abandon them to the streets, left to survive amidst hunger, danger, and cruelty. This cruel fate is the unfortunate reality for countless cows who once had homes but now face the brutality of the elements, the risk of fatal accidents, and the heartbreak of being unwanted.
However, amidst this despair, Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha stands as a beacon of hope. Our gaushala (cow shelter) is dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for over 21,000 desi cows, lovingly cared for by devoted saints and caretakers. Here, these sacred animals receive food, medical care, and the warmth of a compassionate community. We believe in upholding the sanctity of these animals’ lives, and we do not sell milk or milk products, instead sharing them freely with saints, tapasvis (spiritual seekers), and gausewaks (cow caretakers). This is an essential part of our mission to give these cows a dignified life, a life they deserve.
The Life of Abandoned Cows: Why This Matters
The plight of abandoned cows is a tragedy in itself. Each cow that is left behind experiences severe hardship and suffering. They endure physical abuse from humans who throw stones or mistreat them and suffer from severe injuries without medical care. For those who survive, life becomes a never-ending struggle for survival as they roam in search of food, often enduring starvation and harsh weather.
Without intervention, their suffering would only continue. The Shastras (ancient scriptures) state that every family should protect and shelter at least one cow, yet modern life often leaves people without the time, space, or resources to follow this guidance. Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha addresses this gap, offering a solution that lets people contribute to cow welfare while balancing their responsibilities.
How You Can Help: Adopt a Cow at Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha
Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha invites people from all walks of life to support these innocent animals. You can participate in this compassionate mission by adopting a cow for as little as INR 3,000 per month. This amount goes directly toward the monthly expenses of caring for an elderly or abandoned cow at our gaushala, covering necessities such as food, medical treatment, and shelter.
Why adopt?
A Humane Contribution: By adopting a cow, you’re offering her a second chance at a happy, peaceful life.
Spiritual Blessings: According to Hindu beliefs, serving cows brings blessings, peace, and prosperity to one’s family.
Minimal Effort, Maximum Impact: Through Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha, you fulfill your spiritual duty without worrying about the daily logistics of care.
Our Commitment to Transparency and Accountability
As a registered organization recognized by several governmental and welfare boards, Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha is accountable to the highest standards. Our accreditations include:
Section 12AA and 80G of the Income Tax Act, allowing your donations to be tax-deductible.
Animal Welfare Board of India and Gau Sewa Ayogs of multiple states, affirming our dedication to animal welfare.
FCRA registration under the Ministry of Home Affairs, allowing us to accept international support.
With our commitment to transparency, donors can rest assured that their contributions go directly toward improving the lives of the cows we shelter. Every contribution helps us take in more cows, secure quality fodder, ensure timely medical care, and maintain clean and comfortable facilities for these deserving animals.
Join the Movement: A Life-Changing Impact Awaits
By contributing to Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha, you become part of a movement that honors the sacred connection between humans and animals. Whether through adoption, donations, or spreading awareness, every effort counts. When you support the care and protection of a cow, you’re not only changing her life — you’re also fostering a culture of compassion, empathy, and respect for all living beings.
Let us come together to give these abandoned cows a life of dignity and love. Support Shree Krishnayan Desi Gauraksha and earn the blessings of Gaumata (Mother Cow), a step toward fulfilling wishes, cultivating peace, and embracing a higher purpose.

Health-Elevating Properties of Ghee
Ghee, also known as clarified butter, is a staple in Indian cuisine and has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine for its health-elevating properties. One of the most important forms of ghee is made from cow’s milk, also known as cow ghee.
Butter is simmered to separate the butterfat from the water and milk solids. Later on this is melted and strained to separate fat from solids. Fat is heated until water evaporates & ultimately the product is strained and filtered to remove solids. Once the process is over, the product is cooled, bottled, and packaged. The outcome is ghee.
