I’ve been relistening to TMAGP keeping in mind the theory that the audio glitches when people lie. I’ve only gotten through the first episode so far but just from that there’s quite a few examples!

Red is where I’ve noticed the glitches. All of them (arguably excluding Lena’s?) are fairly obvious lies, even without noticing the glitches.

(Disclaimer: I have auditory processing issues, so I’ve probably missed some, and I may have noticed some that aren’t there. If anyone notices any mistakes, let me know and I’ll correct them)

At least when MCU Marc disappeared on Layla and Duchamp for two months, it was because they were fine and he was having a major PTSD episode with uncontrollable dissociative spells, you know?

616 Marc here is mostly referencing the 1980s comics (when Marlene was with Steven, but Marc was around, asking her to help with missions) and the 1990s comics (when Marlene was with Marc, and Steven+Jake were both MIA).

This is really good information to know though, since I've been practicing letting my handwriting be messier/what feels more natural to me (as to be less perfectionistic about the art process lmfao). I never really have a good measurement of how readable it is, even when I drag my letters and write in shorthand (often writing "w" instead of "with" to save space or write quicker). In my head my handwriting is like, some combo of messy-tidy LMAO but generally legible (but also. That probably comes from Me knowing What I Wrote LMFAOO)

Main point though espp if I keep writing messy/not cleaning it up for posting, I'll be sure to transcribe the text too! I've been thinking of doing that for a while actually, maybe even doing image descriptions, as good practice! Only thing that stops me is, being unsure of which method is ideal (alt text or readmores) and describing images in the first place (I have seen a handful of posts talking about it/giving tips! I guess I'm just stuck on alt text vs readmores and how much you're meant to describe. Like if it's fanart of pre-established characters, do I describe their appearance anyway or are we all on the same page?)

party chat #56: nanba's transformation

adachi leaps to his feet, splashing his can of beer and surprising saeko. "got it!"

adachi snaps his fingers with a triumphant smile. "you changed how you part your hair!"

"huh?" nanba reaches toward the back of his own head. "nope, it's still the same..." adachi sheds a single tear.

hand raised high, saeko announces "right! your prescription changed!" ichiban taps a canned coffee on his palm in an "i get it!" motion. "what, are you trying to be funny now!? and that's wrong, too!" nanba retorts.

"okay!" han looks serious. "you changed the frames on your glasses!"

"you started wearing contacts instead of glasses!" zhao finger-guns with a grin.

"will you quit it with the glasses thing!?" nanba snaps at an unfazed, juicebox-sipping han. "and does it look like i'm wearing contacts!?" he gestures at himself. zhao smugly bites an onigiri, still squatting on the ground.

adachi frowns around a pocky. "huh? then what's changed?"

"never mind... sheesh." nanba turns his back on the group.

a view of the vending machine and soccer field across the way. "i just thought maybe i'd grown a bit cheerier since i met you guys."

"that's all." nanba doesn't see the party staring in shocked silence.

saeko, han, and zhao exchange fond looks.

nanba chugs his tea as ichiban approaches.

ichiban bumps his drink hand against nanba's.

"well, we already knew that, man." ichiban grins so wide his eyes shut.

"yeah, you smile a lot more than you did before, nan-chan." saeko concurs, offering him her chip bag.

nanba looks up, eyes wide. "ichiban... you guys..."

a hand lands on nanba's shoulder.

arm slung over his friend's back, ichiban cheerfully assures "and i noticed that you got some new lenses on your glasses, too." nanba's face falls.

the party loses it. saeko collapses on adachi, both doubled over in laughter, zhao cackles as his glasses fall off, and han clutches his head in despair.

"i didn't change anything about my glasses!" nanba roars. on the ground, a plastic bag of leftover snacks reads "#56 nanba's transformation".

The Not Another Bomb Campaign is similarly utilizing the electoral power of the anti war movement in order to push through an arms embargo. Theory being that we are not gonna to get a ceasefire until the US stops sending bombs to Isreal. Pretty straightforward.

And third, if you are able to, is to keep donating to Palestinian families trying to leave or get resources. I don't know what's happening with the algorithm but we're seeing a lot less of them, but that doesn’t mean they don't exist. There are two families in my bio who are still trying to get out and get medical help. And if you go to Operation Olive Branch there are hundreds.

We've all heard the thing about looking for the helpers when things are hopeless and you don't know what to do, and in this situation, those helpers are organizers. /end transcript.]
